Tooth fairy
Its early October, you know what that means, its Halloween time
The time where the vail between the spiritual world and the living is the thinnest
You and tooth usually celebrate together, she does get more work during hallowing because of all the candy but she spends the most of her time with you
She helps you hang up the decorations and spread the Halloween feels
However you havnt done that yet,not only that but you dont have that much time left you only have a month
Once tooth realizes that somethings wrong she'll immidatly do ask the other guardians if they had seen you or if they had heard something from you,the results all come back the same, you were seemingly no where
She decided to check the globe, that could have a clue right?
That's when she noticed there were many less lights then usual, and that when it started to line up..
People were forgetting about you.
The last time you had spoke before going radio silent you had mentioned that it wasnt even October and people were advertising Christmas things
She had realised that you had probally hid yourself away becuase of this
When she does eventually find you shes understandable very worried for you.
After she gets a thorough explanation she'll waste no time in helping you with preparations
However first off,she has to get you in the Halloween mood,as your current one is rather sour, and we cant have that!
She cheers you up by bringing you around and showing you places that are getting ready for Halloween
She brings you to see a small shop that has cobwebs, spiders, skeletons, ghosts the whole lot,she smiles as she sees a small one form on your lips
She then brings you to stores as parents and kids are choosing out pumpkins, baskets, sweets and costumes
When a smile finally Grace's your lips she hugs you tightly and tugs with her to get more decorations up and around
She understands what it feels like to be forgotten and she dosnt want that to happen to you
Tumblr media
Bunnymund/Easter bunny
Hes used to people neglecting his holidays for others
But hes surprised when there seems to be lesser lights on the globe
Things line up really quickly in his head as the cogs start working
He dosnt waste a second, immediately searching for you in fear you've disappeared
Once he finds you he tries to calm you down reassuring you that aslong as hes there he wont let you disappear
He even decorates Easter island with some Halloween decorations
He gives you Halloween styled eggs as a way to cheer you up
He will decorate pumpkins with you aswell
since halloween takes place in fall he might take you to forests where the leaves have turned orange and are starting to fall
he will help you decorate places and even though hes not the biggest sweet tooth, with a big oof bribery im sure he'll try a sweet oor two
he'll constantly be there and comforting you
easter isnt all ways widley celebrated so hes probally had a fear of fading aswell
he wont ever say it but due to the fact that your holidays is overlooked in favour for christmas,he holds a small grudge
he knows its not norths fault but hes just salty
Tumblr media
Jack frost
Honestly hes kind of tone deaf
hes very happy go lucky and isnt used or very good at adapting to change
id like to think that he was quite close to you even before becoming a guardian, because halloween is in the colder months of the year
it might take another guardian to point out your abscents or off behaviour
however just because hes abit tone deaf dosnt mean hes not smart
once its been pointed out to him hes going on a man hunt for you
altough he wasnt in an entirely similar situation,he still knows what its like to feel isolated, scared and alone, and as his S/o he dosnt want yuo feeling the same
once locating you the first thing he'll do is make sure your not fading away
if you are then he will moost likely panic
he will eventually calm himself down, realising that panicing wont help it at all
his first priorety is to make sure that your ok
mentally and physically
afterwards he takes you to do things to take it off your mind
some of his favorite things to do are skating and carving pumpkins,if your not good at either he'll help you
he loves decorating everywhere with fun decorations
his favorite halloween decore are those door bells that grab youor finger or smth(i hate those things with a passion,so i can imagine him loving them)
Tumblr media
north/santa claus
if anyones going to find out the fastest, itts north
he has to keep a keen eye on the months and probally realise that its your holliday
his first reaction is to celebrate your holiday with you,he feels alot like a father figure to you and as such he feels he needs to celebrate your holiday with you
though the smile on his face dosnt stay long as he finds that many stores, instead of having halloween decoration.have christmas things
thats not right.
at first he thinks it might just be the store, and so he checks others
thats until he becomes aware that its most stores
why are they all decroated with christmas decore, they should be deced out with sceletons and pumpkins
not snowmen and gingerbreadmen
after coming to this realisation he checks the globe before visiting you#
he gets quite anxxious once checking the globe
hes quick to find and omfort you,hes quite furious people are neglecting your holiday for his.christmas is still months away!
after calming you down he will go ALL OUT on halloween decorations, the north pole dosnt even look like what it once was, white robes with dark circles are hanging around the celeing, skeletons have been placed everywhere in different positions, fake spiders and fake spider webs have been thrown enywhere they can.
all the elves and yeti's take a day off,to decorate pumpkins.
he'll probaly also reach out to the other guardians, inviting them all over so you can all celebrate together.<3
Tumblr media
sandy/sandman
sandy is very intune with the going oon in the world, aswell as being extremly intuitive
hes probally seen this coming though he didnt think itd be to such an extent where it'd cause you distress
after feeling a particullary cold gust of autaum wind its clear something is wrong
after checking the globe it seems that his hypthesis had become reality
he wasnt very surprised since he had a nagging feeling it'd happen, apart of him thinks that he might have just been denieing that you had the possibility to fade, that he was in denial
either way he had to push his own thoughts away as he had more importtant things to do,such as comforting you and restoring your holiday to its former glory,or at least try to.
after locating you hes quick to alert you of his precents though he may not be the best at calming you down since,he cant really speak.
hes most likely to put you to sleep and give you good dreams whilst brainstorming ideas to help your current dilema
once your awake and calm,he'll try his best to relay his ideas and help you
cutting pumpkins is a must
he will try his best to make candy with you
if you ever need some comfort just say the word and hes hugging you and trying his best to comfort you
he makes sure you have good dreams for days
he promises that he'll try his best to help you
he'll be dammed if he ever didnt go through with that promise to you.
the other guardians will most likely notice both of your distress and end up helpping, either that or sandy asks them directly.
hope this is ok,i havnt writeen in a while, btw this was written with a keyboard and i cant be botherd to proof read it rn and just wanted to post it so here you go!,but in all seriosuness i will be working on my other requests, thank you all for being pateint with me<<33

CW: Mention of death, light gore
└───❀*̥˚ ──•❃°•°❀°•°❃•── ❀*̥˚ ───┘
- You were one of the spirits that dwelled around human settlements. You kept the villages safe from the horrors of the North, so the humans returned their gratitude with respect and honor.
- In the North, where the rest of your kin lived, it was relatively peaceful till the red vines took over. You and the rest of the spirits were forcibly pushed out, infected, or killed; no one was safe.
- Many humans and spirits, including you, were infected even if the victim hadn’t noticed at the time. Soon, everyone, fled the lands to seek safety elsewhere.
- You headed from mountain to mountain trying to find a safe place to live, but the vines would always find you. Eventually, you noticed that you had been infected.
- Luckily, the vines disappeared…along with any familiarity of your surrounds. You were somewhere new.
- You spent the first few years gathering information about where you landed. It seemed that the vines couldn’t reach you. And so you were safe for the time being.
- A couple ages later, the Fellowship was struggling through the deep snow along The Pass of Caradhras; Saruman had ambushed them and brought down an avalanche to bury them.
- The poor members were faced with either resisting the blizzard or trraveling to Moria, and with Frodo’s opinion, they would go under the mountain. However, the trip down would be much harder with the fresh snow.
- They all started on their way, trying to backtrack to the base of the mountain. Eventually, Merry became distracted by a bright orange spot in the middle of white.
- He turned to Pippin and they started whispering about the weird dot of color in the snow. It wasn’t until Boromir, who was slightly behind the two hobbits, noticed they stopped walking.
- Merry and Pippin then started pointing out very excitedly that they saw a tiny dot of orange in the snowy background. Boromir looked to where the hobbits were pointing and did see the strange orange dot.
- The rest of the Fellowship realized three of their members weren’t following behind; soon enough, everyone was trying to get a glimpse of what Merry and Pippin spotted.
- The little orange dot slowly but gradually started growing. It was coming closer to them.
- Everyone had their guard up now due to their poor vision and lack of knowledge about the orange dot. Not even Gandalf was aware of who or what this was. But it grew near.
- Eventually, it was so close they could make out the shape of an animal; a fox to be specific. They were surprised to see an orange fox in the snowy pass.
- You were surprised as well. You didn’t recognize these folk and they seemed to be troubled by your appearance. You’ve seen other people tread the pass, however, it was never during a blizzard. What could these people be doing here at a time like this?
- The hobbits along with Gandalf were the first to put down their weapons, only keeping their guard up in case the fox attacked. Next was Aragorn and Legolas, both keeping their weapon in hand pointing them to the ground. Boromir and Gimli were the only ones of the group that still had their weapons raised; sure it wasn’t really necessary, but tensions were high and they weren’t ready to relax atop a mountain pass.
- You could feel that something about the situation was off, so you decided to help them down the mountain. You helped the kinds humans back at home, why couldn’t you do it once more, before time ran out?
- You noticed four creatures, with abnormally large feet, that you’ve never seen before. How interesting!
- Oh, must focus on your task.
- Pippin was surprised as the fox gently bit into his cloak and backed up with a tugging motion. He went along with you and the other close behind.
- You took them to a more safer path even with the thick snow and blizzard. The group finally let their guard down once they felt the route was safe enough.
- You and the others made your way to the base of the mountain with less difficultly than before. The time came when the Fellowship was off to head for Moria.
- It was also time for you to wander once more. You turned around and slowly trotted away atop the snow. Perhaps you could visit some of the villages again. Many were welcoming to your presence and guidance.
- “Hey, wait! Where d’ya think you’re going?!”
- It was one of the tiny, big footed creatures. They were calling for you to come back. Turning around again, you hesitantly trotted to the tiny person’s hand.
- “We didn’t get t’thank you for your help! I’m Pipping, that’s Merry, and Boromir, and Frodo, and Sam, and…”
- You spaced out as you gazed at the many faces of your ex-followers. They were smiling at you, unlike the first time when they appeared wary.
- Pippin dragged you towards the other hobbits and started showing you off as if you were an old friend. The others were laughing saying “Of course we know our guide!” or “Pippin, we were also on the mountain with you!”
- The others’ smiles widened seeing their fellow members playing with you, Merry and Pippin trying to saddle you like a horse. They were fairly interested in what you were doing in the pass.
- They also took notice that parts of your fur seemed to be stained with red and black; they others assumed it was part of your coat, but that didn’t stop them from being concerned should something was wrong.
- “Mmm, enough of your fool’s play. We must make our way to Moria.” The old looking magic man spoke to the group and started down the path.
- With two of the four tiny people on your back, you also trailed behind the magic man and in front of a stout, thick-bearded man.
- As the days passed by, whenever your group stopped, you decided to pull your weight by hunting for the group. Bringing back birds, fish, and other available creatures, the tiny chef would hand you some of the food you caught.
- Along the road, you were deemed “Forncala” by your friends, specifically Aragorn and Legolas. The hobbits, and Gimli, were the first to try and name you. Although it was Aragorn and Legolas’s suggestion of the elvish word “North” as your name. A way to never forget your origins.
- The first half of Forncala stuck like tree sap. You would respond to only “Forn” while when called with “Fluffy”, “Red”, and “Fern” you didn’t react.
- The second half “Cala” came from one of the nights your group was attacked by orcs. It was a surprise attack with the orcs being fruitful in their attempts at putting out your fire. The only ones who weren’t struggling in the dark were Legolas, Gandalf, and you of course.
- While fighting off the many orca, you were fast to notice your more unfortunate friends struggling in the dark. So you shook into your guardian form and began dashing around the orcs.
- It helped in distracting the enemy as they hadn’t suspected you to change, but it also distracted your friends. They faltered in their attack as they witnessed you produce a bright light blue glow.
- But just as you hoped, your friends were able to turn the tides and kill off the remaining orcs. Once the Fellowship gathered themselves, they inspected your new transparent body with fascination.
- It was the next night when Legolas suggested to the others of adding “cala” to your name “Forn”. And so you became Forncala, North Light.
- If only they knew how closely related your name was to your job back at home.
- Yet so continued your journey with the Fellowship to the Mines of Moria…and your friends’ never ending wonder over you.
- All was going relatively well, until you all arrived. An attack of a water monster, the cave in of the door, and now the troubles within the halls.
- The old magic man, who’s name you learned was Gandalf, commented that the halls were extremely dark and he wasn’t lying. Not even the elf, Legolas, could see far into the darkness.
- The others were successful in avoiding making too much noise, but they still complained about losing their sense of sight. So you once again provided them light; metaphorically and literally.
- You switched out of your physical form and padded gently down the halls, giving off the same recognizable light blue glow. And seeing your friend’s smiling faces was enough to tell you they were thankful for your aid.
- Soon enough, Gimli, the thick-bearded man, ran off towards a room where he fell to his knees and failed in sorrow. Gandalf softly mentioned it was as he feared…oh dear.
- You trotted up next to your sobbing friend and nuzzled against his unarmed hand. He brought you into a tight hug, one that probably would’ve hurt a regular living fox.
- Nonetheless, you stayed still and brushed your muzzle against his face and helmet. He smush his face into your fur and cried his heart out. While being cradled by the dwarrow, you thought deep into the past.
- Before your meeting of the Fellowship, there was one particular group that men of the same figure as Gimli. You caught wind that the leader’s name was Balin and his group was yet another victim of the harsh pass. Guiding them to the base, Balin told you the dwarrow would never forget your kindness, even if you were merely fox.
- This was him wasn’t it? Balin, one of your ex-followers. Oh, how tragic…how terrible to know that he and his group hadn’t survived their journey. You sat down in silence as you processed your thoughts. Could you have helped them if you stayed by their side? What if- !
- A loud bang drew you out of your thoughts. My how you kept spacing out…it wasn’t normal, but focusing back of Pippin’s figure, Gandalf yelled out in anger while the others lowered their heads in defeat.
- The banging of drums and screeching of goblins filled your ears as you peered around the room. Danger, it was approaching fast.
- Your darted to the door and growled with your canines bared and tail fluffed up. The glow from your body grew brighter as Aragorn, Boromir, and Legolas barred the door.
- Dodge, duck, snap, scratch. Repeat. The troll, it threatens the hobbits. Quickly, defend them.
- Things escalated quickly as the room flooded with goblins and trolls. You did your best to keep the biggest threats at bay. breaking the goblins’ weapons and distracting them with your agility and glow, your friends were able to lessen the number enough to make an escape.
- It was unfortunate timing, but you realized your infection got worse. The black and red were spreading; it was extremely slow, but still spreading.
- After making sure Frodo was just fine, you and the group ran deeper into the mine looking for the exit. Your thoughts clouded your mind over.
- How could you keep your friends alive? What was causing the infection to spread? Should you die, would the infection spread into this world? How horrible…a wonderful place, like your old home, falling by the same red vines.
- You couldn’t…no, you wouldn’t allow it to happen. It will never happen.
- “FORN, LOOK OUT!”
- It was an instinct. Left, right, right again, jump. You knew where the debris were falling and performed you title as “guardian” perfectly.
- Everything was passing so fast, but you did your best to focus on the task at hand. Protect your friends, guide them to the light.
- You soon came to your senses when you noticed that you were in front of a broken bridge with your friend on the other side. Each one made their way over the gap, all but the magic man.
- Gandalf falling, the hobbits crying, the rest of you racing down the mountain; everything was blurring together.
- Oh you’ve stopped. You set yourself down as you began to black out. What was happening?
- Boromir was the one to inspect your side first seeing that the red and black splotches was practically covering up your glow. You were…fading?
- Your light dimmed as the red and black patches forced your body back to that of a regular fox’s. The group was concerned to see you in such a state. They may have only known you for a bit, but that didn’t mean they weren’t attached to you.
- Legolas and Aragorn notified the others that the way to Lothlórien was close. If they decided to, they could meet Lady Galadriel and possibly have you healed from this strange occurrence.
- When Merry and Pippin, who were next to Boromir during the inspection, saw small leaves and plants sprouting from the blotches, they screamed at the top of their lungs, incoherent and panicked. It was then when the group unanimously agreed to meet the Lady Galadriel, even if Gimli was wary of her.
- As they hurried, the hobbits and Boromir kept a track of the plants and vines. They were helpless as they watched your fur gradually fade into a deep red with black patches fading here and there.
- The vines sprouting from those patches slowly wrapped around your neck and paws. Small bulbs came up with the tiny sprouts; it was terrifying and painful to see.
- You were unresponsive to anything, even your name. You hadn’t moved since you passed out in Boromir’s gloved hands.
- Your blood was staining Boromir’s gear, but he could care less as he saw the small vines taking over your body.
- Everyone was worried, but luckily for you, it wasn’t time just yet.

North Star Series
Chapter 38 : The Proposal
Start here:
Summary: George makes a proposal
Warnings: none that I can think of
~•~
"I'M FINE! EVERYTHING'S FINE! WHY DO YOU KEEP ASKING ME THAT?!"
The last couple of weeks had been rough, with Fred pretending that he was okay and then blowing up anytime Y/N or George asked how he was doing. Or whenever they looked at him. Or breathed in his general direction.
It was all George could do to not start pulling his own hair out. "I don't know what to do anymore. The least little thing sets him off. He wasn't nearly this bad the first time he and Angie split," he'd told Y/N. "Oh, and speaking of Angie, any luck with her?"
Y/N shook her head. "No. Apparently, she's fine, too."
George sighed and flopped back on the bed. He'd postponed asking Y/N the big question. He just didn't feel right proposing while Fred was still reeling over his break-up. It felt like he would be somehow flaunting his happy relationship in his brother's face. It was a thought that weighed heavy on him.
And yet...
It wasn't the only thing weighing on his poor heart. With each passing day, George's resolve to wait crumbled more and more. Soon, he knew it would give way completely.
The point of no return.
"Got any ideas?" He turned to Y/N, who'd lay down next to him, her head propped up in her hand.
"Well..." she began. "It's the holiday season, so that probably isn't helping. Not much we can do about that, unfortunately. But we can do something about him being holed up in the apartment all the time. Maybe you could take him out somewhere for a bit?"
"Out?"
"Yeah, into muggle London. Just the two of you. A guy's day out kinda thing. That should be safe enough, I think."
George looked thoughtful. "It has been a while since he and I did something like that. Just us two. It's worth a shot," he smiled at Y/N. "Now all we have to do is convince him."
Proposing the idea was easy. Persuading Fred was a different matter altogether. But in the end, George won out, and the following Monday, the one day a week that they closed the store, he and Fred went out on their little adventure.
~•~
It was a rare thing for Y/N to have the place to herself. She spent most of the morning working in her lab, the hours flying by unnoticed, until her stomach started nibbling on her other organs for sustenance. Figuring it was best to feed it, she called it quits for the day and enjoyed a quiet lunch of leftover soup while relaxing by the window, watching the first snowflakes of the year fall.
As a child, she all but lived outside when it snowed, making snowmen, sledding, and getting into snowball fights with the neighboring kids. And while she still loved doing all that, as she grew older, she began to appreciate its quiet, calm simplicity. Her grandad had always said it was nature's way of saying, "Stop and rest. Enjoy this moment instead of trying to hurry on to the next one." It wasn't until now, with all the uncertainty and fear engulfing her world, that Y/N truly understood what he meant.
With that thought in mind, she yawned and stretched. Time to take those words to heart, she thought. It's been far too long since I endulged in a nice long bath with a good book.
~•~
Y/N almost jumped out of her skin at the sound of the boys apparating back home. She was no longer in the bath but was instead relaxing on the bed, so engrossed in her book, that she'd briefly forgotten she wasn't wandering down the streets of Kyoto.*
The familiar pop was followed by quite a bit of commotion and the sound of laughter. Sounds like things went well. She smiled and headed toward the living room, only to screech to a halt in the doorway as two tiny furballs zoomed across her feet. "What the -"
"Hello darling!" George sprinted over, giving her a quick kiss before gathering up two wiggly little kittens. "The muggle animal shelter was having something called an 'empty the shelter' event for Christmas. So we got these two rascals." He held up the black one, who, having now waged war on George's hand, was gnawing away on his index finger. "This is Smudge. He picked out Fred." Then he held up the orange and white one who'd quite happily snuggled up in George's other hand. "And this little purrbox is Jellybean. She chose me."
Completely enamored, Y/N reached her hands out to both kittens. Smudge immediately stopped attacking George's fingers and began sniffing Y/N's. Jellybean yawned and did the same. Within seconds, they'd both crawled into her arms.
"I think they like me," Y/N grinned.
"Of course they do," George slid his arm around her waist. "Now, c'mon, we've got a couple more surprises."
Y/N stepped into the living room and stopped, her mouth falling open.
"What do you think?" Fred asked with a gigantic smile.
Words failed her as she beheld the behemoth that was now taking up half the living room. The cat tower was nothing sort of awe-inspiring. Upon seeing it, both kitties leaped from her arms and scampered over to explore the mini forest.
"It's... it's amazing," Y/N marveled and moved closer to investigate it herself.
~•~
George lay awake that night long after Y/N had drifted off. Curled in a little ball above his head slept Jellybean and at their feet lay the second surprise, Madam Mim. She was an elderly cat who'd been at the shelter for almost seven months. She'd been there the longest and looked so sad and defeated that he and Fred just couldn't leave her behind. It took a couple of hours, but once she realized she was home, she burst out of her shell, cuddling everyone in turn and even playing with kittens and Nyx a little.
He couldn't help but smile. Things were finally looking up. Now that Fred had Smudge, George could already see his twin coming back to himself. He knew it wasn't an instant cure for his brother's broken heart, but it was a start. And that was enough.
He glanced up at his dresser and then back to Y/N. Now that Fred was on the mend, there was only one thing left for George to do.
~•~
*If you're curious about the book Y/N is reading, its 'Memoirs of a Geisha' by Arthur Golden

Now that we are like near but not near enough Halloween..can I request of the Jericho androids (Markus,Simon and North) meeting Ghost!Child!Reader headcanons? who like Protects androids and Jericho through like Illusions and scaring off any Nosy Humans?...They died protecting a Deviant android friend of theres and they’re kind of like Charlie from Fnaf.Maybe they could maybe Sneak/teleport inside the PD to have some info to tell Markus,or like they were one of the first people who DISCOVERED Jericho..
Oh dw! It’s already Halloween in my heart
..........
Markus
Seeing a ghost when he first arrived to Jericho was a shock; he almost didn't believe it at first. But to also learn you were a child who died protecting their deviant android friend (who was the founder and shutdown long ago) was nothing short of tragic.
You died so young and it made Markus wonder why you weren't all that angry or what was keeping you here.
You tell him anger won't bring anyone back, and you promised your friend to look after any androids who come here, officially establishing Jericho as a safe haven.
As a wise man once said, “it’s in your nature to protect the innocent.”
There's a modified child android model that you spend a majority of your time possessing if you need to interface or analyze things.
But you do have advantages as just a ghost: scaring humans who get too close to the freighter into thinking it's haunted or helping the group find the best routes for scavenging biocomponents.
Your actions really inspire Markus, who would eventually step up and help ease these burdens on you.
He aims to free his people without violence, so that other humans like you who support them don’t die or die in vain.
Simon
To know you were a kid who died for your android’s freedom really struck a wire within him. No child should ever have to make such a difficult sacrifice.
He’s seen you do incredible things to protect Jericho and all its androids.
You inspire him to do more to help everyone, but he knows you’re at an advantage in most cases.
At times he feels useless.
It’s just very conflicting to see a child take on so much responsibility. Sometimes he forgets you’re actually dead, thus you never tire.
He’d plead for you to rest, but you tell him you simply can’t. Not like this. Not when there’s far too much suffering go on around you.
Simon knows he can’t convince you, so he tries all he can to help you and step up as a leader.
Yet he remained ruled by fear: Fear at being discovered and fear that his mistakes could get his people killed.
But time and time again you reassure him he’s doing his best, and that he didn’t have to worry about you so much. You’ll take care of everyone.
This is what your friend wanted you to do.
North
She would be shocked that you aren’t furious about your death and swearing revenge on humans.
Though it does change her perception on some of them, knowing you died to protect a deviant friend.
Kids and teenagers would not be as biased towards androids as adults.
But her general opinion on them still remains largely negative, especially when realizing they’d gladly kill their own kind if they protect deviants.
She smiles when you tell her the pranks you pulled on humans trying to infiltrate Jericho or abuse their androids (something she knows all-too-well).
How she wishes to hear their screams of fear..and one day inflict that fear herself.
As far as you tackling so many responsibilities, it doesn’t bother her. Whatever good you’re doing for Jericho is better than nothing. And you never tire or have plans to move on.
Basically....Ghost!Y/N🤝North: Never trusting humans.

(MASSIVE WARNING: infant death, and characters death. Violence towards baby)
“Mama?” Blood should never litter hands so tiny, never should blood be seen by those tiny blue eyes- nativity filled them as she patted at her mothers face, unintentionally spreading her mothers blood.
Catelyn’s unresponsive corpse laid in a growing puddle of her own blood, spilling from the slit in her throat. Despite her limp form nothing was stronger but her arms holding her babe to her chest. Cat wanted nothing more in the seconds of her, and Robb’s- and Talia’s death then to save her child. Her sweet babe, her tiny (y/n). Months after Neds execution, and the relentless wars in the realm (y/n) and Cat only truly had each other. It wasn’t uncommon to see the babe wrapped to her mother chest as she bickered over war plans, or to see the two snuggled beneath the covers in their war tent.
What Cat did realize, was that their was no loyalty at this wedding, none that could save her babe. As a last stitch attempt she held (y/n) as close as possibly to her chest as if she could sink the babe inside of her- hiding her away before any violence befell against her.
Of course, it did. The appearance of a man above her and her mother took (y/n) off of attempting to get her mothers attention, to peering up at this stranger. The notice of the screams, blood, and not only her brothers corpse but hundreds scattered about the perimeter. Tears spurred down fast as he attempted to pry her from her mothers cold, dead arms- her last ditch attempt to save her daughter but instead of prying further the man was happy to do his duty in a uncomfortable position.
A rupturing shriek filled the air when he reached the dagger into (y/n) Stark chest- her tiny cavity that stood no more wider then a few inches. Once he pulled out the bloodied weapon the babe was silent, peering down he left the mother and daughter alone.

[ Betrayal clouds your judgement, for when Jacaerys' indiscretion takes the form of a child, your anger lands in the palm of the Rogue Prince. ]
[ +18 MDNI ] [ 3,412 ] | Daemon Targaryen x Targaryen Niece!Reader, Jacaerys Velaryon x Manipulative Aunt!Reader | this set in an au inside of in hightower green. | this is able to be read as a oneshot.
contains— canon divergence to the second power - an au of an au - targcest, use of 'bastard', infidelity, profanity, revenge, violence, pureblood Valyrian bullshit - thinking about death as a revenge but no suicide/suicidal ideation- angst, smut - two wrongs apparently make a right - mentions of children, pregnancy, childbirth - nsfw: rough sex, biting, degradation, breeding kink, smidge dacryphilia, creampie - no kinslayers, no kings, no betas.
a/n— special thanks to @ahristata and @hiraethrhapsody for kicking my pursuit of this thread!! i woke up (almost literally) to this line of inquiry, & though writing for daemon is difficult, i had a way, way too much fun with this one m'fraid. Ihad so much fun I started laughing at the absurdity. + comment, reblog & like at will, mi luvs, mwa!

You can't breathe.
You stand there, your daughters by your sides, no more than five or so name days, dutiful as ever, the princess of the realm— the heir's wife, blindsided. Betrayed. Lied to. And you can't show them your grief, your anger, your shock— you smile, not betrayed, not realised, stupid.
Your act of stupidity protects you, for you can just tell that others, sharp-eyed as they are owning of sharper tongues, calculate the similarities between your husband and the child he is cooing at, at the arms of the Warden of the North's sister.
His bastard fucking sister.
You can't blink away as the facts, the threads, make a beautiful web in front of you. The conclusion is unmistakable. Jacaerys' consistent travels to the North, despite the campaigning for his mother's seat had not required the frequent stretches of long travels. How Aemond had remarked that the bastard is doing twice as much work in doing so, "as he should," Aemond murmurs darkly. "He casts a disgusting shadow on the Iron Throne, 'tis the least he can do."
The insistent of personally greeting the delegates from the North, you thinking it is just his wondrously formed friendship with the Lord Stark, had you dressing up and bringing your girls with him. So that your daughters can meet their father's fucking friend, one that occupied his time when he could have been at home, tending to his duties, his heirs.
And the woman who follows after the Wolf, the bastard Snow, his beloved sister. Dyanna had told you beforehand, as Lord Stark adores his only sibling. Their parenthood is unmistakable, dark hair and sharp chins. A Northern Beauty.
And then you stop, as there is a babe in her arms, no more than two name days at least.
And you see Jacaerys in his gaze.
His beautiful, warm brown eyes in the child in her arms, and as he stands there, your Prince of the Realm, too close for comfort, too close for platonic friendship, a familiarity one cannot deny— and that fucking, sweet-edged, tender smile on his face...
The same one he wore when you had given birth to his daughters. Soiled sheets, bloodied babes— it didn't matter. He held them to his arms with the very same smile, thanking you for birthing his babes.
A gut punch, a sharp inhale, an anger that coils and burns and roars.
Your bastard of a husband had fucked another bastard, and made himself a bastard little fucking family.
Life can ever be so cruel as it is humorous.
Tumblr media
Daemon could have laughed at the prediction you found yourself in.
He sits to the left of his wife, the Queen who— in enough of itself, the evidence of the turmoil the court is about to get under, amusingly is talking quick with her Lord Hand; Corlys and Rhaenyra had not stopped pointedly looking at her heir, words too fast but unmistakable what the topic is if their gestures, the knot between their eyebrows, and unmistakable sighs and determined noises.
He, on the other hand, is pointedly staring at you.
You, who tries so hard to piece together an armour of stupidity, an air of nonchalance. As if there is no anger in your visage at your husband's attention completely stolen by Wolf's little sister and her son... who looked completely like him. Dark colouring, the First Men blood thick in his nose, his hair, at the curled edges of his baby-cheeked giggles.
When standing so close, faces to each other, there can be no doubt a mirror.
Or the lovesick smile on the mother's face, watching the Prince of the Realm interact with her son.
Together, the trio of them don't hint as much as a bead of Targaryen blood. One is able to pretend they are nothing more than a small... brown haired family.
Daemon presses his lips, trying desperately not to laugh so loudly.
He admired the boy, truly. Rhaenyra loved each child from her bosom with equal fervor, and Daemon was prepared take him as purely one of his own... but after he broke the betrothal with his daughter (though Baela could give lesser of a shit, though mildly dissatisfied as she was to become Queen, and the girl held her duties between canines) to marry a Hightower cunt... he had distanced himself from the boy.
Daemon viewed it as a sign of weakness, for he knew you. You were just like your mother, prodding into softened parts of his family— that green whore with his brother, young as she had been, his good sister Aemma had not been cold in their memories before she had found herself weightily pregnant with new heirs, and then Jacaerys, new to womanly spells, new to cunt, and you had him making vows in the ways of the dragonlords.
Though he can surmise that much of your mother's movements had not entirely been her own... Daemon knew that calculative look you got in your eye. Blink and it's gone, but your gaze sharpens, your mouth curls in a winning, prideful little smirk.
You were Otto Hightower's granddaughter alright, and you had wanted the Heir's Heir.
But now, it seems like, once a vow broken, it didn't really matter if it was a betrothal or a marriage to Jacaerys.
It brings a sick pull of satisfaction in him, that tugs him to look at you. Every time.
You laugh, tither, still evermore the gem of the feast— a feast you organised with the Lord Hand for your husband's absolutely exceptional diplomatic achievements in the North, truly, Daemon is laughing in the sidelines as the jests and songs make themselves — but Daemon is overtly familiar with dragons. And anger. And you simply stink of it. The way your eye twitches, the occasional grind of your jaw to how your fingers dig crescent moons into your palm. He catches blood in one blink then smeared, then gone, in another.
Your hold onto your armour— the Darling of the Realm, curated so painfully by a young, sly girl moving about the cesspit they call a crown's court — is breaking in pieces and tatters at each hour the feast went on.
It snarls. Like a dragon locked in the pits, tugging at reins, wishing to burn cities.
Maybe you aren't just another Hightower cunt after all.
Not purely at least, he thinks in distaste, staring at the dark green of your gown.
It is a childish tantrum, more than anything, for what is your Hightower green will do now? A bastard has been made, worse, a son. And though Jacaerys himself has muddied blood, he is still a Targaryen. His mother is Queen, prepared to make him an Heir to the Iron Throne as he had been legitimised as Laenor's son. A Velaryon. He bears the name, the crest, and the support of its house.
What is stopping him from marrying the Snow Bastard, legitimising the boy as his own, surpassing your own daughters?
Targaryens marry siblings, they also marry multiple wives.
It is a thought that he can see it dancing in your head— raw, enticing rage and bloodlust that tightens his breeches.
It is an interesting thing.
The green is disgusting, but Daemon can appreciate a young, fertile, Valyrian beauty.
Something your mother had ingeniously provided you and your siblings with, reining in her muddied blood to produce unmistakable Valyrian children. And as a smart little tart, you understood what to do with it.
When Daemon first met you, you were just one of the Hightower spawns that his brother had made to further his line. His brother's daughters—apart from Rhaenyra — were quiet things as babes and children. Odd the two of you were, but not really hostile. When you were introduced to him, your fat babe of a twin brother was teary-eyed and clinging to you, a quiet child with round eyes, staring at him inquisitively, as if challenging.
Then and there, Daemon disliked you so.
Even as you grew, the little of what he could see as he paid no mind of Viserys' other children, you grew up a fine royal, a princess of every word and sung note. Mentions of your progressive fight for the small folk, your charitable heart, your sweet nature that even his brother had made a note once or twice—
He thought it had been Otto Hightower who put you up to such machinations. Wouldn't be below him.
The night you bedded Jacaerys Velaryon, he was pleasantly surprised to find out it had been you all along.
And now here you are, betrayed as you had betrayed his daughter, delicious in your righteous anger and ripe (two babes before the year ended, Jace is an inglorious fool) for the taking. And youthful still. Smooth, soft skin, pretty lips and bright-eyed.
All your scheming, going as far as throwing your grandsire to Oldtown, it is obvious no one has wrangled the clever, spoiled little brat out of you.
As he sips his wine, amused and pleasantly hungry, he muses he might do a job or two of being the strong arm to do so.
He snorts, eyes straying back to the little First Men family.
There it is again. The jest that keeps on giving.
Tumblr media
It was pride, truly, that kept you for most of the feast. That kept your gritted teeth to yourself, ducking into corners whenever your anger burned at your eyelids, stubbornly brushing stray tears away.
All is not lost, you stubbornly thought. You just had to plot.
But when Jace had taken your daughters, your Daenera and Aemma, gently tugging them to his bastard whore and his actual bastard to meet— finding your eyes, at that very moment as Daenera's precious, pureblooded hand shyly took the hand of her bastard brother, a fool's tender fucking simpleton of a smile on your husband's face —
Something in your head had snapped. A clean break.
And your armour had fallen. Like limestone from a fortress. Caved in ruins at the pool of your feet. Dark, furious loathe unfurled in your chest. Unable to handle it anymore, you had taken your dress and got out of the feast, for you could feel the urge of unsheathing a sword and going on a bloodied massacre, crowns and titles be damned.
You may not have a dragon, but you have its bloodlust.
Just as you are rushing to your chambers, you stop and make a different turn, knowing that if your husband had caught wind of such an ugly expression on your face, he would try and find you, talk to you, and you don't have the patience to cater to him at the moment— you find what you know of is an empty chamber, reserved for guests at the Keep.
It is a simple room with all the usual accruements. Most of the fanfare, the sheets, are in storage.
You start with a candelabra.
Raise it high before you are violently smashing it against the dresser, shrieks and guttural screams out of your mouth as you tear through the room like a typhoon, cursing Jacaerys, the North, and bastards to the Seven Hells.
None will be the wiser, for you had built your network well. Your spiders will pivot guards and strangers from this area, ensuring you a reprieve where your anger and grief can unfurl and manifest.
So you lose yourself, a dragon untethered. You get so into your rage, quiet in your thoughts, that you don't hear an intruder entering until there is a low, amused laugh too close for comfort.
You whirl around, tear-stained and rage-filled, and though the Rogue Prince expects you to fall into stutters, your eyes slit and you grip— when had you picked up a tome? — the tome tighter to your chest, snarling, "Get out."
Instead of surprise, or even offense, Daemon laughs as if you are the most amusing thing to him all night. Jesters and whores alike.
"I shall not." He makes a noncommittal hum around the dark room. "I rather like it here. It seems this chamber holds a much better entertainment than anything beheld at the feast."
You let out a dark, incredulous laughter. "I have no time for your toying, uncle, get out!" You toss the tome with fervour, but he's a warrior and he anticipates your anger, sidestepping easily before he's back to casual prowling.
"I do not have time to play jester for your entertainment," you hiss, unable to stop the hateful tears from spilling, brushing them away harshly as you watch him watch you.
He raises an eyebrow. "I am not asking you to."
"Are you here then for my humiliation? Press a bitter wound while it's still bleeding, is that it? Is that what would make the glory of your night?"
He snorts. "What would make the glory of my night is a warm body and a tight cunt."
Your face scrunches. "You are disgusting."
He barks out a laugh. "Not as disgusting as your brother."
"Aegon is no longer—"
"— or as stupidly naive as your husband."
A sharp intake of breath before you're once more cracking in broken rage and ghastly pain.
"Of course you would notice, who would not, he looks so much like his fucking bastard."
"Watch yourself, girl," he barks. "You are still talking about the Queen's heir."
A beautiful guard dog, you think, you snort. You push past him, gasping into the crisp, cool air, holding onto the balcony for dear life.
"His already diluted blood makes this conversation entirely hilarious to me I'm afraid." You look down and wonder how fast you will fall. How messy would such a death be? How much care there is left in your wake? Will your husband even care, now that he has his heir? Borne out of true love no doubt, despite such bastardly blood— or is that what makes it thrilling for them?
Mangled bone, spread thin blood— if you die such a way, it should be pretty. You hope it haunts the Keep of so many before you.
But if you die now, you will be replaced so easily. So prettily.
And your daughters—who will care for them? Will Jacaerys even care, if his bastards soon no doubt fill your once home, your mother, your brothers— your daughters pushed aside to make way for fucking dogs.
There is no satisfaction in such a plan.
There are many others.
The Rogue Prince makes his presence known by standing close to your back, close enough that you can smell him, that his heat is your own, as he hums, peering below as you have.
"Have you been drinking, zaldrītsos little dragon?" he whispers, tangling his fingers through your hair, running a lone finger down your neck, up and down in a tantalising movement. You can't help it, it feels comforting, leaning close to it despite such a breathy huff out of your lips.
"Since when am I dragon, kepus uncle? Haven't you always likened us muddied blood, filthier than dragonseeds?"
"I see that I am wrong," he says, almost idle as if he isn't devouring you in his gaze. How you feel soft, pliant under one finger after weighted in wine and the ruins of your anger, how you're almost purring and sweet like this, your fire alive but consistent. "Aōha perzys burns jehikagrī. Nyke hae ziry. Your flames burn bright. I like it."
"Hm. You've had sons, don't you uncle?"
"I have," he replies, amused.
"And many a children." You reach for his chin, your thumb rubbing his bottom lip. He's old, sure, but men don't have the same bodily issues as women. You know he could reach your father's age and be able to produce five more brats.
But his shoulders are strong, spry only as a swordsman can be.
And he isn't like he's loyal to Nyra, turning fully to you with a hand caressing your side.
His hand comes for your neck, halting your movement as he tests a squeeze. There is only much hatred as there is lust. And his cock is winning over his mind, for when your free hand, watching him intently, reaches for the hardness straining against his breeches, giving it a stroke, his breath stutters into a groan whilst his hips push into your hand.
"Dragons do not seek permission, niece of mine," he hums darkly. "Dragons take, or do you have too much of your Hightower cunt of a mother that you—"
You curl your hand over his cock until his breath hitches.
"I want a son. Surely you'd rather want for your true blood to sit on the Iron Throne? Your wife would remain Queen, her and her heir none the wiser. Any son of mine would be King regardless." Your voice is barely above whisper, stroking him as your squirm in his hold, his breath heavy by each promise, each tale you spin so tall. "Wouldn't you like that better? I am a Targaryen, as are you. Our blood would be pure."
"I have pureblooded sons, riñītsos little girl."
"But will they be king? With my husband as your wife's heir?" When his hold softens on your throat, you push yourself forward, pressing yourself against him. "Wouldn't you want your family's legacy, your legacy, unsullied with prettier blood?
"I want a son, uncle," you whimper, thickened with need and desire, willing him to bend and fold because men like Daemon are easy, because a loving marriage is one thing, a man who holds his house as his pride in another fist is another. "I want your seed to take root in me."
And it isn't like you're asking him to betray his Queen.
Tumblr media
Daemon is surprisingly a soft lover, prone in a way to worshipping you even as you had gotten impatient and tried to get your way. His punishments are quick and precise, a hit on your thigh, a tighter squeeze in your throat, a firm bite in your breast enough to draw blood. He's soft but by choice, almost as if he is amusing you in each caress while one hand is holding you by your hair, fucking you down into the sheets.
His words aren't better, spun in hisses and spits, mocking laughter and groans.
"Do you want my seed, you little whore?"
"What would your husband say now, his pretty wife mewling for another? Or would he even care?"
"Your tears are pretty, if you want my seed, I think you need to be sobbing, hm?"
When he finally spills inside of you with nothing less of a broken, guttural roar, hips chasing the high, meeting your sensitivity once, twice, again— you are shattered in pieces and contradictions, floating and wide awake, pleasured and in pain.
He slaps your face gently after he's cleaned himself up, tucked his flaccid cock back in his breeches as he comes to your eye line. "Come to me again when you want my seed, hm? I shall prioritise your wants for the good of the realm but I dare say—"
He cocks his head with a smirk, feeling stirrings at the sight of your fucked out state, his seed spilling from your pretty hole that he can't help himself as he chases it with a finger, forcefully pushing it back in while your body trembles and twitches.
"— you may be with child soon enough, niece. I shall congratulate you and my son with the happy news."
Your eyes flutter close at the echoes of his disappearing footsteps.
Nine moons later, through a hearty, blood-soaked birth that rocked the keep with your wails of pure pain— much more painful than when your girls had come into the world — a baby boy is born of pure Valyrian colouring.
A fat babe who cried murder in his first seconds of life, and it is Caraxes who snarls and screeches into the high noon sky.
"I shall name him Daemon," you say to your husband beside you as you beheld the babe with a wondrous smile and a full heart.
"After your brother and my father," Jace says, smiling. "That is wonderful, my wife. He does look much like them."
Your smile curls, a finger rubbing your babe's fat cheek. "He does. And he will be strong swordsman." Your lashes flutter to Jace, poisoned vowels in each word that he blinks, startled. "Just like his father."

FATHER, CAN I DIE?
✶﹒ platonic yandere! manhwa fathers x suicidal/overworked daughter! reader
summary : maybe they should just lock you in your room to make sure that you won't do something dangerous.
a.n : i plan to make this a series, what do you think?
abel heilon
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
let's start with the most chill platonic yandere! out of the guys that i will feature in this post! abel heilon, the duke of the north with a simple mindset of 'if you mess with me then i'll mess with ya' we all know how protective he is with fiona and siegren. but just imagine, what if— just what if he has an illegitimate child who's related to him by blood that he hid from the public's eyes.
anyways, the first time he met you. he became sure of one thing. damn, you were indeed his child. with that silver hair, blue eyes and personality of yours— you were indeed his child. he can't deny that because you looked like a kid version of him. well, it's not like he is denying it tho— but what the fuck is wrong with your brain anyways?!
he doesn't know if you were abused before he met you. but why in the hell are you so obsessed with suicide anyways?! why the fuck are you even throwing yourself in battles when you were a support mage?! for the fuck sake! stop! yes, you have above average amount of mana! but the hell?! you're not as strong as fiona nor siegren! stop it!
if it's not for siegren then he wouldn't know the fact that you happily greeted the assassin that was sent by the imperial family. according to him, before siegren saved you from the assassin you even have the guts to propose to that damn assassin about committing suicide together since according to you, you have fallen in love with him— hearing that story, abel couldn't help but facepalm. (first name), you're thirteen! and that assassin is already thirty-six or worse, older!
maybe because of the stress of managing the north and keeping you safe from your suicide attempts. abel finally snapped.
look, abel likes watching you enjoying your freedom. but damn, if he doesn't do anything about this— he might end up burying you before you even reach the age of 18. he won't hurt you, he swears. that was the last thing that he will do to you. but that doesn't mean that he can't take preventive measures to make sure that you were safe.
platonic yandere! abel heilon was one of the chillest platonic yandere that existed. he will let you do anything that you want, he won't take away your freedom nor hurt you. he isn't also overbearing to the point that it was suffocating. but don't make him snap, because he can be the most suffocating and controlling parent existed.
now, on your sixteenth birthday— to celebrate it. you decided to jump onto the freezing river near the manor. you expected that you'll wake up inside your room— but no. when you opened your eyes, you were inside an unfamiliar room that has no windows. seeing that you can't use your magic, you were sure that there's a magic restricting device placed around here. what the hell is happening?
the door had opened, you looked at who it was and saw abel looking at you with a smug grin. you tried to ask him what is going on but instead of replying— abel only ruffled your hair saying that it will be only him and you from now on. and that was when you realized one thing— abel had taken your freedom away from you.
but abel didn't care. cry until you have no tears left, he doesn't care. the only thing that he cared about was keeping you alive. and this is the only thing that he know to achieve his goal. but don't worry, he will visit you everyday and give you books to make sure that you won't get bored. so, can you stop being a btch and appreciate his efforts?
he doesn't care if your eyes lost its usual enthusiasm and spark. he doesn't care if you stop eating at some point— because abel can shove the food inside your mouth to make sure that you stay alive.
oh, by the way— fiona was the one who made the room where you were staying now. she just wanted to make sure that you were safe! and the only place where you can be safe is the place where you can't use magic! so, forgive them, will ya?
“should i just cut off your arms? so that you won't be able to use your magic again?”
gallahan lombardy
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
okay, as far as you know— you are not really a suicidal type of person. but for your father, gallahan lombardy you are. because for gallahan, overworking is another way to try to kill yourself after all.
gallahan is a sweet person, i swear. he won't hurt you at all and isolating you? no, no, no, gallahan won't do that! but he still couldn't help but become paranoid when it came to you. you were way too focused on studying— maybe because of the pressure that you were getting from the other people.
your sleep only lasted for two or four hours, you always isolate yourself inside the library. and gallahan didn't like it at all— look, you need to take it easy and rest. the only time you leave the library was when gallahan and tia drag you outside to eat in a cafe or buy new clothes.
platonic yandere! gallahan loves to spoil you. you wanted to buy books? here you go. want to try home-cooked foods? sure, he'll cook it for you. do you want to go to the festival with tia? alright! as long as he will go with you two.
but then, a certain event made gallahan snap. it was a normal day and gallahan entered the library to drag you outside so that you could socialize with the family. but then, he saw you unconscious on the floor, buried in the books and your nose was bleeding. gallahan was panicking, he didn't know what to do. what if you don't wake up? what if something bad happens to you? or worse— what if you die? if it wasn't for shananet who saw her younger brother's panicked face and her niece's condition. then gallahan won't be able to calm down and call the family doctor.
and what is the doctor's diagnosis? you were overworked. and after hearing that, rulac lombardi, your grandfather along with your auntie and uncles saw how your father's face darkened while looking at you who was peacefully sleeping on the bed.
and then, after that incident. you couldn't help but become confused when gallahan didn't scold you— instead, when you woke up. you saw him smiling softly at you. he didn't even ask you to take it easy. he just lets you do what you want.
but what you found odd was your father started giving you foods and drinks everytime and after consuming those things. you started feeling tired and before you knew it, you always ends up asleep. and once you woken up, you were already on your room. with tia cuddling with you while your father was asleep while sitting on the chair next to your bed also asleep.
knowing how innocent your father was, you never suspect a thing. you just kept on eating and drinking the things that he was giving to you. and you never questioned why you always get tired after it. your father loves you so much, so he wouldn't do anything— right?
plot twist, gallahan actually puts drug on your food and drinks to make sure that you will take a rest and never overwork yourself again. but a year later, you started losing your sense of sight because of it. but gallahan and tia don't care when you have them? oh, just thinking about their sweet (first name) being dependent on them was enough to make them very happy.
“sorry, honey! this is just a precaution, okay?”

Hey!! Could you write a fic with R being a teenager that plays for arsenal, so shes kind of the baby of the team. In a derby she gets fouled many times and in the end R ends up breaking her leg or something. The team is kind of protective over her and after the match they take care of her. (maybe leah being like her mother figure) Hope that makes sense x
Protective || awfc x reader

awfc x reader, leah williamson x reader (platonic)
prompt: requested
warnings: mentions of injury, mostly fluff
a/n: hope i did this request justice!
Being the youngest on the team came with many, many perks. Your every need was constantly met, the older girls liking it better when you simply didn’t lift a finger, mostly because in some way they thought you would mess something up, but a win is a win, sometimes. On the flip side, being the youngest means you were babied like no other. The girls even adopted the nickname ‘teeny’ because you were one, a teenager, and two, because it sounds like tiny, as you were not only the youngest but also one of the smallest.
You had signed your first professional contract when you turned 18, coming up through the academy, Arsenal was your home, your dream club, and you loved playing for Arsenal. You currently live with Leah because your parents and fellow teammates did not want you living alone, worrying themselves dry with scenarios that would never realistically happen on your own. Moving in with Leah was easy because you had practically known Leah your whole life, looking up to her as a role model and now she was your teammate. Leah had became basically a second mother to you, always making sure you ate breakfast, brushed your teeth, the usual ‘mom’ things. You honestly enjoyed living with her, not that you would ever give her the satisfaction of saying it out loud.
Derby days were always huge for Arsenal, important matches that needed to go in Arsenal’s favor and securing the three points, especially when it was the North London derby. Growing up a lifelong fan of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspurs were the enemy and battling for North London was always entertaining. Today was going to be the first derby you were actually going go be playing in and starting. You are a dangerous forward and working alongside Frida and Beth, it was sure to be an exciting game.
Unfortunately for you, Leah had come into your room and woke you up far too early. Leah had tried to gently wake up, speaking softly and gently shaking your shoulder, but her efforts were useless because you were stone cold out. She moved to a different approach, getting a running start and jumping straight on your bed, screaming, “Y/N Y/N WAKE UP ITS DERBY DAY!”
The sudden yelling and body on top of you awoke you instantly, frantically scanning the room to see if there was an immediate problem. Only to find Leah laying on you with a cheeky smile before she says, “Well good morning Teeny.”
You couldn’t really ever be actually mad at Leah, but you sure could pretend, loving when you gave her a hard time. You quickly send her the harshest glare you could possibly muster up and simply just push her off of you and exit the bed. She follows your body a step behind and wraps you in a warm hug, already apologizing for yelling and jumping on you, ushering out words fast. You stay silent while she speaks before saying, “I will only except your apology if we can get Nando’s after the match today.”
“Score a goal and we win the game, I pinky promise we can get Nando’s” she replies as she sticks out her pinky finger. You bring her pinky in to seal the promise and begin getting ready for match day. Leah has already packed your kit bag the night prior and even set out your jumper and sweats that you were supposed to be wearing today.
Your nerves were a little high today, your first derby match and you were starting. You really needed to play well and secure the win. It is almost as if Leah could feel your stress and she simply sent you words of encouragement and sealed it with yet another hug and a forehead kiss.
Arriving at the Emirates Stadium alongside Leah, who insisted that she always drive, was always a surreal feeling. Younger you would be simply amazed at what you have accomplished and achieved. Entering the changing room, you were pulled by Viv who gave you a simple pregame talk.
“Teeny, we all believe in you and I know you are going to play well, but I also need you to believe in yourself. Now did you eat breakfast? Drink water today? Did you bring your kit and boots?” she questions as if you have never played a football match ever.
“Yes Viv, I have everything and Leah made me eat the huge breakfast she made this morning, every last bite.” you tell her as you pat your belly. Sometimes the girls treated you like an absolute child, but you knew there was love behind their intentions so you often let it slide.
Luckily for you, Beth came to your rescue, “Leave the kid alone Vivi, she’s not five.” she says.
“Have I told you how much I love you Bethy” you slyly say, moving to hug her and escape Viv’s questions.
Walking onto the pitch, you could certainly hear the loud fans and Arsenal red flooded the stadium. The next 90 minutes of football were sure to be interesting. Quickly finding your spot on the pitch, you high-fived Alessia and did your ritual of 3 jumps, something you started doing very early on in your football days.
The match started close, Tottenham and Arsenal sharing possessions and a lot of the game occurring in the midfield. The pitch was tense, you could feel it, both teams wanting to prove who owned North London, the rivalry running deep. Lia had sent you a perfect curved ball as you made a run to the goal, until suddenly your back was harshly pushed and you fell over. You quickly get up and the ref indicates a foul. You can vaguely hear Leah arguing with the ref but you let it go through one ear and out the other, trying to focus on getting the ball back. Near the end of the first half, every time you had gotten the ball, a Spurs player was roughly all over you, mostly ending in fouls. You tried your best to keep your cool, the same could not be said for your teammates.
“Ref is that not a yellow?” Katie shouts at the referee, hoping to get you some justice for the hammering you are currently experiencing by the opposite team. The ref quickly dismissed Katie and thankfully the halftime whistle blew and you jogged to the changing room. The halftime score was 0-0, as you were mor upset at not being able to score rather than the physically of the match.
In the changing room, your teammates were past angry. “They are all over Teeny, she can barely get the ball without getting fouled.” Alessia stated.
You had yet to really say anything, your body was sore from the harsh hits and falling all over the pitch, you simply just trying to catch your breath after an intense half. With a cold face you say out, “I am okay, keep pushing the ball upwards, one of these times I will be able to put it in the back of the net.” And with that, you and your teammates were making your way back to the pitch to begin the second half.
The Arsenal team that started the second half was scary, becoming more physical and focused on scoring. Arsenal controlled possession and played in Tottenham’s half mostly. A corner had arrived and although you were one of the smallest, you had a way of making yourself open as your opponent would lose you within the players and leave you unmarked. You also were able to jump pretty high and get your head on balls. The next few seconds of the set piece felt like it happened very fast. One second you were jumping in the air and the next you felt a body check you and you fell harsh on the ground, hearing a faint snap in your leg.
The pain the filled your body was stronger than anything you had ever experienced. There was a lot of commotion around you but all you could focus on was the sting in your leg, tears fell at free will. A soft hand meets yours as a voice you recognize as Steph’s says, “It is okay Teeny, everything will be okay. Do not move baby, the medics are coming on now.” You want to get up and continue the match but Steph basically holds your body down. All you can do is sob into her shoulder, a mixture of pain, anger, and the thoughts of your future football career.
The medics take over and help you limp off the pitch carefully, you can see Leah, Katie, and Beth in a heated conversation with the ref but you couldn’t make out their words specifically. The whole injury was incredibly overwhelming and time felt like it flew when you were getting your scans. They had told you the news that you had broken leg and they gave you some pretty high painkillers to ease the intense pain you were in. You hadn’t even noticed that the match was over until you heard a faint knock on the door.
The physio opened the door and almost ever single one of your teammates had made their way into your room. You were still in a bit of a daze with the high emotions and pain, but a soft smile was plastered on your face and you were in a calm state.
“Did I score?” is all you say out, hoping that at least the broken leg was worth it. When the girls had initially entered, they were tense and nervous, not knowing in what condition you were in. The room was quickly filled with laughter though, the girls becoming more personable when you were still their Teeny.
“It hit the back of the net, 1 nil.” Leah laughed out as she reaches out to stroke your cheek and gently move your hair out of your eyes. The girls fall into normal conversations and the physio pulls Leah aside to explain some important details of your exact injury and when to give you medication. You try to get up as the medication is making it feel like you were in no pain at all when Katie forces you back down, “Sorry Teeny, you need to stay in bed. doctors orders.” is all she says as your current state just believes her and you lie back down.
Alessia explains to you how Leah almost got a red card from the ref as she ripped him a new one when you went down. The girls eventually left one by one, wishing you well and giving you hugs until you are left with just Leah.
“Kid you really scared me today.” Leah explains out, the weight of what occurred today finally hitting her.
“I know, I know.” is all you could say out. Breaking your leg was not how you envisioned today going. “Can we still get Nando’s though? Since I did score and we won?” you question.
“Is that all you are thinking about Y/N?” Leah chuckled out. “Yes of course we can.”
The transition to Leah’s car was pretty painful but the strong drugs they gave you were doing wonders for you. The next few days were rough, the weight of being out from football for an extended period of time was heartbreaking for you. Leah could tell you were upset when you did not leave your room. Leah just simply walk into your room and bring you food, water, or your medicine and leave you, understanding that you just needed some time.
By day four, Leah had to do something. She sent a quick text to some of the Arsenal girls and requested them to come over to help make you feel better. Hours later, you hear your door being opened and see Leah poke her head in, “Hey Teeny, you have some visitors. Want to come see?” she questions, hoping you were open to the idea.
The recent day have been harder than you thought they would be, so at first you were reluctant to see your guests but you carefully got up and made your way to the living room. Many of your teammates were standing in your and Leah’s home. “What are you guys doing here?” you smile as you ask.
“We came to cheer you up Teeny!” Beth replies, screaming slightly at you. A large smile appears on your face, a smile Leah hadn’t seen in days.
Several of the girls brought you small plush animals and gifts like flowers and sweets to make you feel a little bit better about your unfortunate situation. Beth and Viv even brought Myle for some puppy cuddles. Most of the girls also offered advice on rehab and helpful stretches. Leah orders in food for the group as you all relax on Leah’s couch and watch a film.
Your injury was painful and hard, but your teammates always knew how to cheer you up and make you feel both loved and important. Your teammates may treat you like baby at times and are way too over protective, but you loved every single one of them.
Eventually your home was empty and Leah worked on cleaning up, you said out, “Thank you for today Leah, really, thank you.” you told her.
“Anything for you Teeny.” Leah said as she placed a kiss on your temple.

The moment Sejanus shared Billy Taup's escape plan with you, there wasn't much hesitation on your part. It's not that you acted without thinking; it's just that you didn't need much time to decide.
The summer was scorching, feeling like an unending oven. The sun never let up, and even when you hoped for cooler nights, the heat lingered. You've gotten used to the coal dust that's practically become your second skin in District 12, but what truly got to you wasn't the clinging dirt. It was the musty scent of men's sweat, a scent that clung to the air, heavy with the hard work that defined your daily life.
Being one of the few female Peacekeepers among a crowd of men wasn't your ideal situation. Many other girls had come and gone, unable to stand the sacrifices the job demanded, but you stood your ground, determined to prove yourself in this role, even if serving in this particular district wasn't your dream come true.
At least until a certain point.
When you first arrived in District 12, your main goal was to pass your officer's exam as quickly as possible and secure a transfer elsewhere. But when young Plinth kindled the idea of a life beyond authority and rules, the seed of belief in freedom took root within you. The very thought of it resonated in your mind, sounding truly incredible, and you couldn't wait to leave the filthy district behind, escaping through a gap in the wire mesh fence.
But, of course, life wouldn't be too easy if everything just went as planned, right?
One moment, you were getting ready with Sejanus and the other rebels, gathering the basics for your escape north to the supposedly destroyed District 13. The next, you found yourself standing behind one of the empty houses on the Seam with Coriolanus. He held onto your shoulders, telling you urgently that you had to leave the District as soon as possible.
“What?” was the first word that slipped from your lips, your brows furrowed in confusion as you looked at your friend. “Isn't that exactly what we're working on?” you added, slightly amused, pushing Coriolanus' hands off your shoulders.
Shaking your head, you were about to update him on your progress when he caught your forearm again. “I think you misunderstood me, Y/N,” he said, his face dead serious. “You need to get out of here now,” he continued, and seeing your raised eyebrow, he almost gritted the last word through his teeth.
“What do you mean, Coryo?” you asked, breaking the silence after staring at him for a while, tired of him speaking in riddles.
Now Coriolanus was the one staying silent, his cool eyes fixed on you. You couldn't decipher his expressions; it felt like he was betraying a hundred feelings at once and, at the same time, nothing at all.
“I… um, there's…” the blond man started, stumbling over his words, unsure how to share the information he needed to tell you. “There's a chance that the talk Sejanus and I had, which you joined not long ago, about your escape plan, might have been fully recorded by one of the jabberjays.”
You seemed not to grasp the gravity of Coriolanus' words, so you stared at him, searching for any hint in his eyes that he might be joking.
“Okay, so what?” you eventually asked, once again furrowing your brows, this time with a bit less intensity. When a twig snapped around the building's corner, you quickly turned, thinking it might be someone eavesdropping, but finding only a small hedgehog, you shifted your attention back to the boy in the bluish uniform.
“So what?” Coriolanus repeated your question, unable to believe your difficulty in connecting the dots. “Y/N, these birds are headed to the Capitol. To the lab of the woman who’s the Head Gamemaker of the Hunger Games. And do you know what the Capitol authorities do to rebels?” he asked the question, not waiting for your response. “They hang them on the hanging tree, Y/N.”
You stared at Coriolanus, steadying yourself with a hand against the wooden building. With every word he spoke, you felt the color drain from your face.
“How… How did this happen?” you asked, trying to keep your emotions in check.
Coriolanus happily took care of the mockingjays, moving their cages, tagging them, and passing them along. As Bug left with the fiftieth cage, Sejanus burst into the room, full of excitement. He shared the good news about the upcoming package from his mother with his friends, watching Bug leave with a smile before turning to Coriolanus, who had just finished dealing with the bird marked as number 1.
The bird chirped in its cage, mimicking the last mockingbird, but once Bug was gone, Sejanus' cheerful expression faded, replaced by a troubled look. He glanced around the hangar to ensure they were alone before speaking in a quiet voice.
“Listen, we've only got a few minutes. I know you might not like what I'm about to do, but I need you to at least understand it. After what you said the other day, about us being like brothers, well, I feel I owe you an explanation. Please, just hear me out.”
This was the moment, the confession.
Now was the time for the pieces to be explained, especially about the alliance with rebels and money that he found in Sejanus' belongings. Once Coriolanus heard it, he'd be as good as one of them, a traitor to the Capitol.
Panic, running, or trying to silence Sejanus could be expected, but Coriolanus did none of these things. Instead, his hands moved instinctively. His left hand adjusted the cover of the jabberjay cage, while his right, hidden from Sejanus's view by his body, reached for a remote on the counter. Coriolanus pressed RECORD, and the jabberjay fell silent.
Turning his back to the cage, Coriolanus leaned on the table with his hands, waiting.
In the middle of Sejanus' explanation, you dashed into the hangar like a hurricane itself.
“There you are!” you exclaimed, both happy and a bit annoyed to find young Plinth. “Why didn't you wait for me? I said I wanted to go to Coryo with you,” you added, crossing your arms on your chest as you closed the gap between the boys and yourself.
It seemed that Coriolanus, noticing you in the hangar, tensed up a bit. He glanced briefly at the cage with the bird recording the conversation on the table, but neither of you or Sejanus noticed, and together, you continued explaining your plan to him.
During your report, where you and Sejanus competed over who could give Coriolanus more details, he lowered his head and rubbed his brow with his fingertips. It looked like he was trying to gather his thoughts, unsure how long he could stay silent without seeming suspicious.
But Sejanus rushed on, “I couldn't leave without telling you. You've been like a brother to me. I'll never forget what you did for me in the arena. I'll find a way to let Ma know what happened to me. And my father, too. I'll let him know the Plinth name lives on, even if it's in obscurity.”
The mention of the Plinth name was enough.
Coriolanus's left hand found the remote, and he pressed the NEUTRAL button with his thumb. The jabberjay resumed its earlier song.
Something caught Coriolanus's attention. “Here comes Bug.”
“Here comes Bug,” the bird echoed in his voice.
“Hush, you silly thing,” he scolded the bird, secretly pleased it had returned to its normal pattern. Nothing to alert both of you. He quickly covered the cage with a cloth and marked it with J1.
“I swear, I have no idea,” Coriolanus lied, wearing a worried expression. “While rearranging the cages, one of them must have snagged the remote control.”
You lightly bit your lower lip, eyeing your friend. Without any reason to doubt him, you finally let out a shaky breath.
Gazing up at the sky, you counted to three in your mind to steady your nerves. Then, you looked back at Coriolanus.
“Does Sejanus know?”
“Of course, I told him first,” he lied again, his gaze fixed beyond your shoulders without losing the concerned look on his face.
“God, what are we going to do now?” nerves took over every cell in your body as you asked another question. You leaned against the wooden building, slowly lowering yourself until you were sitting on the ground.
You lifted your head to meet Coriolanus's eyes, and he crouched in front of you, placing his hand on one of your knees.
“Hey, don't stress. You're heading back to the base now. Pack what you need, and tonight, you'll slip out of the district just like you planned with the rebels. You'll meet Sejanus at the lake, alright?” he spoke with a calmness, almost like talking to a kid, trying to reassure you.
Even though Coriolanus despised rebels those who went against the Capitol's rules — he didn't want you to suffer the consequences that would surely befall Sejanus. He had nothing against you; in fact, he genuinely liked you. Your innocence about a better life beyond the Capitol's control wasn't his concern because you hadn't caused him any trouble, unlike young Plinth who had stirred up problems more than once.
“But won't it be suspicious if I suddenly vanish? They'll be searching for me, Coryo. They'll find me and punish me,” you said, placing your hand on his.
“I told you not to worry, remember?” Coriolanus replied, a bit sharper but still maintaining his reassuring tone. “I'll figure something out. No one's going to harm you.”
“But Coryo, you-” you began, but he quickly cut you off.
“Enough, Y/N,” Coriolanus said firmly, standing up from his crouch. “Get up. We're heading back to base,” he reached out a hand to you, which you took after a moment's hesitation. He helped you stand, silently conveying to act naturally before stepping out from behind the building.
You had no choice but to go along with Coriolanus' questionable plan, clinging to the hope that he knew what he was doing.
Little did you grasp the reality—that he was the cunning architect behind the recorded conversation. Sejanus wouldn't show up at the lake beyond District 12's boundaries. Instead, his fate would take a dark turn as he dangled lifeless from a tree in a matter of days.

You Belong With Me
Aitana Bonmati x fem!reader
(Sorry to my non-male attracted viewers, there’s only a tiny bit of straightness at the start!)
Tumblr media
You and Aitana had met and instantly clicked as soon as you made the move to Barcelona, even though when you moved you had no experience speaking the Spanish language at all, Aitana used her broken English which never failed at making you laugh to teach you the basics of her first language.
When you were at Arsenal, you met a man at the bar when the team was celebrating a successful victory against Chelsea which ensured that North London stayed red. After engaging in a conversation with him, you learnt that the two of you shared similar interests including football, and he later asked you out on a date which you immediately accepted.
After a few more dates, texting back and forth, and the short but sweet kisses you two shared, he soon asked if you would be his girlfriend, which you accepted happily.
In all honesty, you hadn’t been with anyone in a while, and so when you met him, you completely misunderstood your platonic connection with him as a romantic connection between you two.
When your contract ended with Arsenal, Barcelona almost instantly reached out offering you a new contract, one that you couldn’t turn away.
At the time, you and your boyfriend were hitting the 8 month mark, you had moved in together and broke the news to him over dinner. He agreed to long distance, and when he mentioned how proud he was of you at the time, you really thought he was the one.
You two did long distance for around 3 months, almost hitting your 1 year anniversary, your boyfriend had previously explained his plans to come over on the 12th, 2 days before Valentines Day. But on February 8th, you received a phone call from him, explaining he couldn’t come as he had thought over your relationship and didn’t think it was worth it to continue long distance for over a year.
You weren’t heartbroken, but you more just felt numb, you told Aitana about what happened but failed to notice the look of relief masked by her predominantly angered state at your boyfriend for hurting you only a few days before Valentines.
The night before Valentines, Aitana had come round one again to comfort you as your head rested in her lap, and once again you missed the red tint to her cheeks as she ran her fingers through your hair. As you looked up at the brunette midfielder, you saw a look of hesitation in her eyes.
“What’s wrong tana?”
“I- I was just wondering if you would like to spend Valentines with me tomorrow? To take your mind off him.”
“As friends?” You asked, but for once the idea of you spending the day as ‘friends’ with Aitana made your heart ache.
A flash of hurt appeared in Aitana’s eyes as she answered you softly, “Yes, as friends.”
You only hummed in response and buried your head into her lap, hoping to hide the disappointment on your face.
———————————————————————
When you awoke the next morning, you were hurt to see that Aitana had left, only leaving you a short message.
From: Aitana
- I pick you at 7, formal wear.
For once, Aitana’s bad English didn’t make you laugh. Instead it reminded you of the uneasy feeling in your chest about your newfound feelings towards your best friend.
You spent most of the day moping around, trying to cure your confused mind about Aitana. You had only ever been with boys in your life, why were you beginning to feel like this now, at 24?
You knew that there was nothing wrong with figuring out your sexuality later than others, but you had listened to most of your teammates’ stories about how they figured they were into girls at 12. You are now double the age they found out about themselves, and a sense of fear settled in your chest at the thought of coming out to everyone, your friends, your family, the public.
So you called one of your closest friends, Keira.
You already knew Keira from the Lionesses team, and when you moved to Barcelona, she was quick to take you under her wing with her and Lucy being the only fluent English speakers in the team.
After a few tries of ringing Keira, the English midfielder finally picked up.
“How did you know you were into girls?”
A chuckle could be heard from Keira’s end of the call, which you made out to be Lucy sat near her.
“I just realised that what I felt for them wasn’t platonic, and was romantic feelings instead, why do you ask?”
“Aitana asked me to spend Valentine’s Day with her as friends, but I’m not sure if I want it to be more than that Kei.”
For a moment, Keira’s end of the line went quiet, which you guessed was the older girl being in thought, until you heard some rustling and then Lucy’s voice through your phone.
“Hello kid, I have news for you.”
“Lucy I swear to god if your going to make fun of me then save it, I have a real problem here.”
“Calm down kid, what I was trying to say that due to me being amazing friends with Mapi, she often talks about how when Aitana third-wheels her and Ingrid, Aitana often spends the entire time gushing about you, does that sound platonic to you?”
“I don’t know.”
“God y/n! Your useless, no wonder Aitana hasn’t asked you out yet, if your this oblivious to all her flirting!”
“She does not flirt with me!” You retorted.
“She calls you amor, lets you sit on her lap, and always blushes when you kiss her cheek, the poor girl probably thinks your 100% straight and leading her on!”
“Well actually Lucy, less than a week ago I thought I was a 100% straight, so..”
“Shut up, just treat it as a date, and kiss her at the end to get your point across and you will be fine”
“Your no help Lucy, goodbye”
And with that, you hang up still trying to process Lucy’s earlier words, Aitana talks about you to others, and now you think about it, is Aitana really flirting with you, have you mistook it as general Spanish affection?
Aitana has never been one to shy away from her sexuality, always making her disgust for romantic activities with men known. You on the other hand, had never confirmed your sexuality as straight, but equally you had only ever dated men, which left people to assume. Did Aitana share your feelings, or had you and Lucy misread the situation?
What you were unaware of though, was Lucy and Keira’s shock which they masked well on the call, and Lucy’s first words when the call ended being: ‘What the actual fuck.’
The whole team knew about Aitana’s tragically unrequited love for you, they saw each time Aitana made a hint of you to reveal your sexuality by making a comment of:
“I just don’t know how you put up with men!”
And each time, they saw how the small glimmer of hope that you would agree with her shatter as instead you laughed it off, replying with “I don’t know I just do!”
———————————————————————
As promised, Aitana’s car pulls up outside your house at 7, to which you rush out of your house ready to meet the beautiful brunette, who was clad in the most gorgeous suit you had ever seen in your entire life.
You didn’t miss how her eyes raked over your figure which was hugged by a strapless back dress which accentuated all of your curves.
She opened the passenger door for you and then walked round to the drivers side, the drive there was filled with silence, little did the both of you know, you both shared the same thoughts of what exactly the other wanted this ‘friend’ date to be.
When you got to the restaurant, you were unsurprised to see that it was some fancy 5-star restaurant that Aitana had picked out.
You had both ordered starters, mains and deserts and had chatted just as you normally would over a bottle of red wine.
Aitana couldn’t help but notice the way the red wine had slightly tinted your lips, and she wished nothing more than to have a chance to taste them some day.
Of course you noticed Aitana staring at your lips, but Aitana didn’t know that at that moment, you had realised that there was no one else you would rather be with right now. That you would trade the past year of good memories spent with your boyfriend, just to remember this one perfect night with Aitana.
“I don’t want to be here as friends.” You said nervously.
A look of shock was evident in Aitana’s eyes, “What do you mean? Have I upset you?”
“No, no! Of course not tana. I meant that I- ”
You paused for a second and made the haste decision to be completely honest with Aitana.
“God, I don’t know how to say this, I’ve never actually asked anyone out before!”
There it was, the look in her eyes that you wanted to see for the rest of your life time, the glimmer of hope that even Aitana herself thought you had fully extinguished long ago.
Aitana could not help her smile which stretched ear to ear, as she helped you out.
“Could this be a date then if you are okay with that?” Aitana asked softly.
“I would love that.”
With that you and Aitana got up and walked out of the restaurant, the previous adrenaline rush Aitana was still on from coming clean about her feelings with you, urged the brunette to lace her fingers with yours as she led you back to her car.
On the drive back, you noticed how tense Aitana looked, so with a similar sense of confidence to Aitana earlier, you grabbed her hand, which rested awkwardly on her lap and moved it to your thigh. Upon doing this Aitana’s stance relaxed visibly, and she looked over at you with a dopey smile, one which you couldn’t help the laugh that escaped your lips.
When it was time to get out of the car when it pulled up outside your house, Aitana quickly scrambled up and walked you over to your door.
“I would invite you in.” You said with a smile, “But I need some time to think, okay?”
“That’s fine, I understand, I will pick you up for training tomorow?”
“I look forward to it.”
But as Aitana turned to leave, you grabbed her bicep pulling her back to you where your lips met hers in a soft, sensual kiss.
You were the first to pull back, offering her a smile, “Night tana.”
“Goodnight y/n.”
———————————————————————
The next morning, Aitana pulled outside of your house at 7:45, ready for the 8am training session, when you both arrived and got out of the car, you made the decision to hold the brunette’s hand as you walked to the locker room.
“Ready?” Aitana asked.
“Always.” You responded.
With her free hand, Aitana pushed open the door, only to hear the familiar chatter and laughter stop.
As you and Aitana came into the view of the other players, you two were met with a few wolf whistles, and many of your teammates muttering:
“I can’t believe it.”
Until Mapi comes barrelling over and basically throws herself on poor Aitana’s back.
“Well done my friend! I see you finally came to your senses and asked her out!”
Aitana’s glare was enough to silence Mapi, who instead turned to you.
“And you, miss england, I thought you were straight!”
This statement recieved yet another scowl from Aitana, who instinctively wrapped her arm around your waist.
“I never confirmed my sexuality.”
“You’ve only ever been with boys, in fact you have a boyfriend of like a year?”
“They broke up, idiot.” Aitana answered for you.
“Hey don’t call me idiot! This is just…unexpected?” Mapi said, feigning a look of hurt.
Only then did Lucy and Keira walk in, to see you with Aitana’s arms still securely wrapped around your waist.
“Ha! I told you guys and none of you believed me, every single one of you except Ona owes me €10!” Lucy exclaimed.
“You betted on us?! And they don’t owe you anything, it was an unfair bet, I already told you I liked her!” You said whilst blushing.
“Lucy you cheater!” Mapi shouted.
Lucy, ignoring them sauntered over to you and whispered “So, what type of gay are you?”
“Lucy that’s possibly the weirdest thing that you’ve ever said in your life.” You said, whilst grabbing Aitana’s hand from your waist and tugging her out if the room.
“I still can’t believe this.” Patri muttered.

You should have been with them. You weren't sure if it would have made any difference but you belonged with your team. The previous mission left you with a decent gash along your arm, just enough that you were benched for the current excursion. While the boys shipped out you worked overwatch with Laswell, gathering intel and guiding the boys in the field.
A lead on Shephard and the remnants of Shadow Company led the team to an abandoned factory compound. Throughout the mission, they were in constant contact with the base at least they were supposed to be. Gaz announced they were breaching another building and that was the last contact you received from them.
After a half hour of silence, Laswell started trying to pull up satellite images, anything that could shed light on what happened. Kate managed to get a drone to the area but there was nothing, like they disappeared without a trace.
Two weeks later you finally found something actionable. You led a small team to a safehouse Laswell discovered. After a bit of not-so-gentle persuading, the Shadows there gave up a set of coordinates.
As soon as you were back on base you practically ran to Laswell's office to give them to her. Much to your dismay, she didn't share in your urgency or so you thought.
"That will take too long!" You paced the room, shaking your head as you spoke.
"We can't go in blind, Y/n"
"If we wait any longer they'll all be dead if they aren't already." You stopped in front of her desk.
Laswell sighed and stared ahead at her computer. She had put the coordinates in and was looking at satellite images of the area. "We have their location that's good but it's not enough. We need to get a team together, find building schematics."
"You know as well as I do, not one of them will talk. As soon as Shepherd gets bored they will be killed."
"I can't authorize an op without more information. We need to surveil the building first. Figure out how many people are there, if Shephard is there." She stood from the desk, her tone shifting. "However, I am technically not your commanding officer."
She turned to face the window and you realized what she was doing. You quickly took a photo of the screen, making sure to capture each image before you stepped back.
"I understand." You spoke as she turned back around to face you. "You know how to reach me."
As you turned to leave Kate spoke once more. "Be careful, Y/n."
"I will."
-
It wasn't hard to formulate a plan, after all, you were recruited by Price for a reason. Your strategic thinking went almost unmatched and your propensity for stealth made you deadly. You waited for nightfall before sneaking off base with all the gear you'd need and some that packed a bigger punch.
The drive was tense as you got closer to your target, you stopped in a clearing a few miles north to avoid detection and hiked the rest of the way. No overwatch and no backup, you triple-checked your gear. There was no room for error here.
The two-mile hike seemed to pass in an instant, your feet carrying you on autopilot through the dark forest. Looking up at the building when it finally came into view you gathered what information you could. Three floors, unknown if there was a basement. One large receiving door and two entrances on the northern and western sides of the warehouse.
Your plan was to use stealth to take out as many Shadows as possible. Moving floor by floor looking for the boys. You knew you would inevitably be discovered, so you'd hoped at that point you would have found at least one of them and that they were in any condition to help you fight.
You decide to enter through the northern entrance. The first objective was to steal a uniform so you could move through the building easier. As you went you were to keep an eye out for weak points, places to set one of the many charges you had brought with you.  After tightening the straps of your vest and double-checking the C4 in your backpack, you readied yourself as you moved out of the tree line and toward the door.
Situational awareness. They practically beat it into in when you enlist, it could very easily be the difference between life and death. You thanked whatever high power was up there for granting you a natural affinity for the skill. You were on high alert each cell in your body buzzing, your highly trained eyes scanning the environment for threats.
Approaching the door you turned the handle slowly. Peeking in you checked both directions before entering fully.
The door opened to a long hallway that was empty as you entered. Slowly you moved in deeper, listening closely for movement. The familiar weight of the rifle in your hands was welcome as you delved further into unknown enemy territory.
The rifle however was simply to keep up apprentices while inside until all hell broke loose. Shooting it would attract every Shadow in the building to your presence. You had also attached a silencer to your sidearm but even still the shot could be heard if someone was close enough. Even if the noise wasn't heard, the blood would certainly be noticed. Snapping necks or choking them out was dangerous because you had to get up close but it was clean and quiet. Stealth takedowns are your best option for ensuring no one knew you were infiltrating the base until you wanted them to.
A single set of footsteps could be heard approaching from behind you so you ducked into a closet. Leaving the door open a crack you waited for the Shadow to be in front of it before pouncing. You grabbed him in a chokehold and dragged him back into the closet. He thrashed in your hold but not long before you had enough of a grip to snap his neck. He fell limp and you slowly guided his body down to the floor.
Lucky for you he seemed to be about your size so you made quick work of relieving him of his uniform. You momentarily removed your tac vest to put on the jacket with the Shadow Company emblem. Your vest was already black so it fit in with the uniform. It had seen you through countless missions, quickly becoming an extension of you. Price had given it to you when you joined the 141 and it has been with you ever since. You grabbed the gaiter and helmet next, adjusting them to fit properly over your face, effectively shielding your identity.
You strapped the dead man's rifle to your back for later and brought yours up as you exited the closet once more. Head held high you continued pushing forward.
Turning down the next hallway you paid close attention to the attached rooms. It was quiet, you couldn’t hear many voices if any. You didn’t have time to clear each room but some of the doors had windows allowing you to confirm those particular rooms were empty. You stashed that information in your mind for later.
Footsteps approached from in front of you but you held fast. A Shadow rounded the corner, not paying any attention to you. A plan quickly formed in your head. You waited until he passed you and was standing next to the door of one of the empty rooms before calling out to him.
“Excuse me,” He paused his walking and you approached so you were standing in front of him. “I seem to be a little lost, could you tell me where the armory is?” You lied.
He rolled his eyes and just as he was about to speak you lunged, maneuvering him into the empty room and kicking the door shut behind you. He fell lying on his stomach, so you straddled him and held his wrists against his back. "Where’s the 141?"
He gritted his teeth as he squirmed. "Fuck you, I’m not telling you shit.”
You tutted in his ear. “Is that really how you want this to go?”
“I’m dead either way." He grunted as he struggled beneath you.
“So you’re not entirely stupid then.” You shifted both of your positions so you were on the ground behind him, holding him firmly with your thighs as you pulled his arm at an awkward angle.
"You have a choice here." Your voice was low, calm. "I can kill you quickly and painlessly. Or," You tugged on his arm earning a groan from him. "I can make sure you bleed out nice and slow where no one will find you."
He grunted at the pressure before he spoke. "The Captain is in a cell on this level, south hallway with the Brit two doors down from him."
"What about the other two?" When he didn't answer right away, you pulled on his arm once more, popping it out of the socket.
He yelled in pain and you quickly brought a gloved hand over his mouth to muffle the noise.
You waited for the man to still before removing your hand. He spoke hurriedly as soon as the barrier was gone. "The Scot was being annoying so they pulled him out of his cell and brought him to the top floor. The big guy is there too."
"What's up there?" You shifted again, putting him in a chokehold.
"Interrogation."
“What about Shepherd?”
“He left a few days ago, I don’t know where.”
"Good boy." You patted his head before snapping his neck. You stood and dragged the body deeper into the room, out of view from the door. You planted some C4 in the room before readjusting your gear back into place. Stretching your neck you headed out of the room and toward the southern end of the building.
The building was large and you mentally kicked yourself for entering on the opposite side of where the boys were, not that you could’ve known. The long walk however did give you an opportunity to take out many of the patrolling Shadows as well as get a better idea of stairwells and possible escape routes.
Finally, you entered the hallway in question. There was only one guard stationed outside the doors. Obviously, they didn't think anyone would be stupid enough to storm their castle. You waited until you were right in front of the guard to pounce. Quickly reaching up and snapping his neck then lowering the body quietly to the floor. You pulled the keys off his belt, opened the door, and dragged the body in with you.
The cell was dimly lit and smelled strongly of blood. Price was chained to a chair in the middle of the room. He slowly raised his head looking at the dead Shadow then at you, a weary expression crossing his bloodied features. You pulled your mask down as you approached him.
"Y/n?" He spoke, voice horse.
"Nice to see you, Cap."
He paused squinting at you through a black eye as you unlocked his bindings. After you finished you hooked the keys back onto your vest and stood in front of him.
"Where's your team?" The Captain questioned, finally noticing no other soldiers were with you.
"My team went and got themselves captured."
Price grabbed your bicep as he stood. "Y/n, did you come here alone?"
"Didn't have a choice. You boys were running out of time and Laswell's hands were tied."
"Christ."
"I know, reprimand me later. Gaz is down the hall, Soap and Ghost are on the top floor." You handed him one of the guns you looted off a Shadow. "We're all we got."
He took the gun and nodded. "That's all we need."
You moved toward the Shadow you had just killed, quickly relieving him of his uniform and helmet then handing it to Price. "Can't have you breaking my cover just yet."
"As soon as we have everyone, we're blowing this place to high hell." He spoke as he got dressed, wincing when he tightened the vest over his chest.
"What d'ya thinks in my backpack?" You smirked.
"Remind me to separate you and Soap from now on."
"Aw come on, sir." You feigned offense as you stepped up to the door, pulling your mask back up and preparing to move. You pulled more explosives from your back, carefully affixing them to the wall.
With your back turned you couldn't see the small smile that crossed Price’s features as he looked at you, a sense of pride swelled in his chest. He pulled up his mask as he took position behind you. "Take point, kid."
"Copy." You opened the door, looking both ways before stepping fully out. Quickly you moved two doors down. You unhooked the keys from your vest and unlocked the door.
"I'll watch the hall." Price spoke, closing the door for you as you entered the room.
Gaz's cell was the same as Price’s; same dim light and metallic scent. You pulled your mask down and the scent hit you hard. Shaking it off you moved toward Gaz, his head was limp against his chest, slow breaths could be heard emanating from him.
"Gaz?" You kneeled down and set a hand on his shoulder as soon as you were close enough. Blood slowly trickled from his nose and you assumed it was broken by the new angle it was bent at.
"Come on Kyle, we gotta go." You gently shook him, a light groan left him as he woke.
Bleary eyes met yours as he regained consciousness, a smile forming from cracked lips. "My hero."
You rolled your eyes and smiled at him before gently removing the chains holding him in place and standing in front of him. "Can you stand?"
Tentatively he stood grabbing your shoulder for support. He squeezed his eyes shut for a moment before opening them, clearer than they were before. "Ready to roll."
The door opened and Price dragged a dead guard in with him. You felt Gaz tense next to you and realized Price still had his mask up, so you addressed him. “Having fun out there without me, Captain?”
Price pulled his mask down and looked toward Gaz who relaxed his grip on your shoulder. "Wouldn’t dream of it. Good to see you're still standing, Sergeant."
"You too, Cap." Gaz let go of you, rolling his shoulders back in preparation for the fight to come.
"Get dressed," You pointed at the Shadow Price just dragged in. "Soap and Ghost are on the top floor."
"Don't you have a squad with you?" Gaz questioned.
"No, they came by themselves." Price interjected.
"Badass." Gaz moved to high-five you.
Price grabbed Gaz's wrist before his hand could meet yours, placing the Shadow's uniform in it instead. "Don't encourage them."
You smiled sheepishly at Gaz as you moved back toward the door. "We should get moving. I've made a dent in their numbers but it's only a matter of time before someone finds the trail of bodies I've left and sets off some alarms." You pulled some C4 from your pack and affixed it to the wall next to the door. "Ready?"
"Got your back," Gaz spoke as he finished getting dressed. Price handed him the gun that the Shadow had been carrying. He pulled his mask back up and you and Gaz mirrored the motion.
You opened the door, the two men falling into step behind you. You lead them to one of the stairwells you’d noticed earlier, it would take you straight to the top floor. You didn’t want to prolong your stay here any longer, neither of the men with you would admit it but you could see the physical toll their time here had taken. They both moved cautiously and you could see a slight limp from Gaz.
After ascending the stairs, stopping a couple of times to plant explosives, you slowly approached the door. You peeked through the small window in the door. The top floor was much smaller than the rest, the door opened to a large room with one door situated to the right, and one guard stationed in front of it. He was a hulking figure, taller than Ghost but leaner. He stood between you and the room that held the rest of your team.
Years of sparring with Ghost had taught you how to fight an opponent who was stronger and bigger than you. He wanted to make sure you knew how to defend yourself in any situation. Mentally, you thanked him as you formed a plan of attack.
"Let me get him out of the way. Keep going," You unhooked the keys from your vest and handed them to Price. "Ghost and Soap should be through that door. As soon as I engage, move."
"Y/n-" Gaz began to protest but you cut him off.
"Neither of you are in any condition to fight him off and we can't make too much noise until we get through that door. That big fucker is the last thing standing between us and them. I'll be right behind you." You pulled three comms from your vest and handed one to Price and Gaz then put the other in your own ear. You pulled out two more and handed them to Price who tucked them into his pocket. "And if we're still doing our dance by the time you're done then I'll shoot him and we can blow these fuckers sky high."
“Shouldn’t I be giving the orders?” Price spoke with no real heat.
“I’m open to suggestions, I’m a just and fair tyrant.” You smiled and Price shook his head.
"We'll be fast," Gaz spoke up and patted your shoulder.
"You better." You spoke as you exited the stairwell and headed straight for the guard.
He stood up straighter as you got close, eyeing you incredulously. “No one is allowed up here. Name and rank?” He spoke, voice stern.
“Ah yes,” You stopped right in front of him. “Sergeant none ya business.” You smiled and could have sworn you heard Soap’s voice from the other side of the door.
“Who’s your commanding officer?” He raised his voice more, crossing his arms as he stared you down.
“That would be Captain kiss my ass.” This time you were sure you’d heard Soap laughing. Deciding not to further press your luck with the bantering you sent a swift kick into the man's crotch. It was a low blow sure but this was Shadow Company and they deserve far worse for their actions in Las Almas. He doubled over and you used your leverage to throw him to the side and away from the door.
“Now, Price!” You yelled into your comm. Quickly the pair ran from the stairwell and toward the door, unlocking it and heading inside.
Your opponent had recovered and lunged toward you, but easily you dodged. Kicking a leg out you knocked him off balance and onto the floor.
It was a momentarily lapse, your mind focused solely on the opponent in front of you, and you didn't notice the one that had just exited the stairs. A shot rang out, then a scream tore from your throat. The bullet lodged itself into your pelvis and you fell backward. The first guard lunged positioning himself on top of you and wrapping his hands firmly around your throat.
“Y/n what’s going on?” Price’s worried voice sounded in your ear but you couldn’t respond. Your body acted on pure instinct then, grabbing your sidearm and firing two shots. One for the man above you and one for the other, both bullets hitting their mark.
The Shadow fell limp on top of you, effectively knocking the wind out of your lungs. Your side screamed in protest at the weight but you were unable to move.
"Y/n, how copy?" Price's voice rang through your ear again as your vision began to blur. Strength slowly left your body as you tried to push the dead Shadow off of you to no avail.
Suddenly the weight was lifted off of you. Ghost and Price threw the Shadow to the side while Soap kneeled next to you. “Y/n you keep those pretty eyes open for me, aye?”
“Doing my best, Johnny.” You wheezed out, the fog quickly leeching into your mind.
He smiled softly at you. “I know.”
Ghost was staring at you behind his mask, worry creasing his eyes. “What’s our exfil?”
“There’s a truck two miles north of here in a clearing.” You spoke, wincing as Soap put pressure on your wound.
"Reinforcements?" Ghost questioned.
Price sighed, "Y/n came alone."
"Bloody hell." Ghost feigned disappointment, despite your current state, he was impressed.
"That's fuckin' badass." Soap beamed at you, squeezing your shoulder.
"That's what I said." Gaz smiled, wincing when he reopened his lip again.
"Stop encouraging them." Price shook his head as he spoke. “Ghost grab them let’s get the hell out of here.”
The conversion sounded further and further away as blood pooled beneath you. You used your last bit of energy to pull the detonator from your vest and handed it to Soap.
“Do the honors would ya?” You breathed out before the world went dark.
-
Heat radiating in your side brought you slowly to consciousness. Your brain struggled to regain traction in the fog that clouded it. The mission came back to you slowly, the fight, the gunshot, the boys. Panic set in, you didn’t know if they got out. Your eyes shot open as you sat up, violent dots danced in your vision and you could hear movement near you, something beeped incessantly to your right.
A familiar voice entered your ears. “Hey, you’re okay, I got you.”
Calloused hands settled on your shoulders, grounding you. The beeping slowed. “You’re in the hospital on base.”
Your eyes finally cleared and you could see Price standing next to your bed. He gently guided you to lay back down and that's when you noticed the rest of the team at the foot of your bed. Various bandages and bruises littered their bodies but they were alive.
You tried to speak but ended up coughing instead. Ghost appeared in front of you and silently handed you a glass of water with a straw.
“Did I miss a party?” You managed after wetting your throat, voice still hoarse.
“It seems we did.” Soap smiled patting your shin.
“How're you feeling?” Gaz asked.
You shrugged. “Good as I can I guess. Just glad everyone made it out.”
“You did good,” Price spoke. “But don’t ever do that again or I will sign your discharge forms myself.”
“Yes sir.” He smiled at you and patted your shoulder. You knew the statement came from a place of worry. Your infiltration could have easily gone a different route and you could have been sitting in the morgue right now.
Instead, you were surrounded by your found family.
A light atmosphere settled in the room, you watched content as the boys chatted amongst themselves. You laughed at the terrible jokes Ghost and Soap were telling each other. Smiled while Gaz and Price told the story of Gaz falling out of a helicopter for the millionth time. The 141 would live to fight another day and god help anyway who tried to stand in their way.

So how about tooth fairy Jack frost Easter bunny and mr claus(sorry if do do him) with someone that represents karma and make bad things happen to terrible people.
Tooth fairy,Jack frost,Easter bunny/bunnymund and north with a karma reader
I have so many requests so I'm starting off with the requests that have the less characters bc they take me the less amount of time.
Of course you can,for this you will be chosen as a guardian because karma dosnt nescerally have someone who represents it so they just have to believe in karma and shit.
Also norths will be more platonic than romantic
Has been proof read
Ty for the request
Tumblr media
Tooth fairy
Shes kinda scared that you'll be something like pitch black
However once shes been explained to that you give people what they had coming she understands alot better
Despite her first interpretation shes actually very sweet
She sees you give a bully karma and she just smiles sweetly at you.
You and her come across each other every so often, usually it's because someone had their tooth taken out unwillingly(like someone punching someone or something)
She likes hanging out when shes not collecting teeth or just having some down time
You also explain to her that when you give someone karma they had it coming and deserved it
You like to hang out with her at the tooth palace(or whatever its called)
You have actually given abit of karma to pitch before
There have been times where you've had to put bunnymund and Jack in their place, she finds it funny whenever this happens
Her mini tooths love you to bits
Even when your not at the palace you'll always have a small group of them following you about
They like to make sure your okay and pick up teeth along the way
Tumblr media
Jack frost
Honestly hes kinda excited
A guardian of karma sounds excitciting
He probally wouldnt be surprised if he was one of the first to receive karma though
He asks you constantly why you give him karma, much like a kid who broke a vase then pretended they didnt do anything
Hes very clingy
Tries to get other people out of trouble by bribeing you
If hes ever done something that you need to give him karma for he'll try get out of it by sweet talking
If there one person he'll never stop you giving karma to its pitch
Infact he constantly whines to you about giving pitch more, even going as far as making things up
He likes putting his hand on your shoulder
Will start snow fights with you at random
He will definatly see you floating around during an unexpected storm
Your almost constantly busy so he dosnt get to much time with you
Because of this he will definatly start more frost days so you can spend a day off with him and enjoy the snow
Tumblr media
Bunnymund/Easter bunny
Hes mixed between two mindsets
Having another responsible guardian
Another Jack situation
He would definitely be surprised if he got any karma, its be a "I dont think I deserve this " even though he knows what hes done
Hes definitely got it easy after seeing the type of karma you gave to Jack though
Will ask if you can give karma to Jack, because he was playing with some of the elves....
He likes to hang out with you when your not doing anything in Easter island
He likes to give you personalized eggs as presents
Hes very protective of you especially when coming on the topic of pitch
Speaking of,bunny would definatly ask how much karma hes due, isnt surprised with the amount
You sometimes help him place the eggs around at Easter, its a fun activity for the day
Your the only one he'll ever allow to brush his fur,let alone touch it
Glares at Jack if he gets to close
Tumblr media
North(platonic)
He trust the man in the moon, and so far manny hasnt been wrong in choosing his guardians
Hes also heard about you before so hes confident in manys choosing
Hes grateful that you seperate Jack and bunny alot, they can be quite tiring sometimes
Since you dont really have a realm or anything north let's you hang about in the workshop
The yetis and elvs love you
The elves will often climb on you or show you some of the toys
You help the yetis paint and make the toys every so often
He gives you one of the snow globes so if you cant make it back yourself you can just throw the globe
He acts very much like a father figure to you
Asking how your day was and what some of the people did etc
He was the one to reasure the others that you ment no Ill intention
You fit very well into the guardians
If north thinks you need a break he gives you a toy with a note with it
Let's you pet the reindeer
He allows you to watch the globe if your ever bored

Joy Looks Good on You (Snape x Artist!Reader)
Request: Snape with an artist reader- she makes gorgeous paintings, teaches an art class at Hogwarts (Bob Ross style, for reference). Doesn't have many students, but when he comes into her classroom its such a calming atmosphere. Maybe a short drabble about how he falls in love with her and her skill with paintings?
Requested by: anon
Warnings: none
A/N: this is more platonic than I had initially intended it to be, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless!
Oh! Gender neutral reader as I always try my best to write 💕
Tumblr media
Hogwarts was home to many secrets, one of them being that the school offered painting classes as an elective for those in third year or higher.
Even you were shocked when you first heard about the job posting. You always figured art would be just a hobby of yours. When it came to jobs in the wizarding world, anything to do with art and painting was quite rare to find.
So when you were finally offered the job for art teacher at Hogwarts, to say you were overjoyed would have been an understatement. You never thought you’d be able to turn your love of painting into your career.
Dumbledore had placed you in the North Tower, just below Professor Trelawney’s Divination classroom. Compared to her room, yours was rather small: you only had to walk ten steps and you’d already be at the other side of the room. A handful of round tables with matching wooden chairs had been crammed into the tiny space. There was a small desk nestled in the corner for you to work, along with a shelf against the wall to store your paints and supplies.
Your favourite feature about the room, and perhaps one of its only redeeming qualities, was the large window in the middle of the wall. It was rounded at the top, with an ornate stained glass inlay that covered almost half the window. It was the source of your inspiration on sunny days.
It certainly wasn’t the nicest classroom, and sometimes a theory crossed your mind that your classroom had once been a generously-sized storage closet, but anything was better than being down in the dungeons of the castle.
You glanced up from your own painting to quickly sweep your eyes over the paintings your students were finishing up. You never had more than ten students a year, painting certainly wasn’t a common interest for wizards (much to your disappointment), but it didn’t matter. It gave you the opportunity to grow closer to your students, to get to know everyone’s individual art style. It made you all the more proud when you were able to see how much they progressed over the course of the year.
“Professor?”
You glanced over to see Luna Lovegood, one of your students with the biggest imaginations, waving politely to catch your attention.
“Yes?” You asked softly.
“We won’t have time to finish our paintings this class. I know we’re not supposed to, but since it’s Friday, could we leave our supplies out? We’ll be back first thing on Monday.”
A few other students murmured their agreement. You smiled apologetically, silently cursing that you had given them an assignment far bigger than they had time to complete.
“Of course. That’s fine.” You dismissed everyone with a wave of your hand. “Go on. Enjoy the weekend. And don’t worry about handing in your still life sketches this week, you’ve got enough on your hands with the landscape painting I assigned.”
A handful of cheers erupted among the students, and you smiled as each one nodded and murmured their thanks before leaving.
You stood up from your desk, walking across the room to collect everyone’s paintbrushes one by one.
“Letting your students go without cleaning up after themselves?” A deep voice murmured softly from the doorway. “I’m surprised Y/N, I thought you were more disciplined than that.”
It never failed to startle you, how Severus had this uncanny ability to sneak up silently on you. Usually you’d be able to hear students’ footsteps echoing as they made their way up the stairs to your classroom, but Severus seemed to be able to glide noiselessly around the castle like a ghost.
You set your paintbrushes in the small sink that rested in the corner of your room, smiling in acknowledgement and beckoning the professor to come in.
“It’s Friday,” you answered, grabbing a paintbrush and using your fingers to work the paint out of the bristles. “They’ve got enough going on, I figured I’d give them a bit of a break.”
You heard Severus scoff as he approached you from behind.
“You’re too easy on them.”
“And you’re too hard on your own students, but you don’t see me waltzing into your classroom to nag.”
That earned a soft chuckle from the professor as he stood beside you.
“You can use magic to clean those.” Severus observed, nodding toward your fingers as you worked the leftover paint out of the brush.
“I know I can,” you shrug, watching the water beneath the brush turn a bright turquoise. “But I prefer not to. Helps me clear my mind a bit.”
“Hm.” Was the small response you got in reply. To your surprise, Severus reached into the sink and grabbed a paintbrush, mimicking your movements as he began cleaning it.
“Oh,” you exclaimed softly. “It’s okay, I can do that-”
“Too late,” Severus retorted, casting a quick glance at you out of the corner of his eye. “I’ve already started.”
The two of you scrubbed brushes in silence, and you just barely caught Severus let out a small, tired sigh. As you placed your final brush to the side to dry, you glanced at him.
“Rough day today?”
You had to hold in your giggles as he answered your question with the biggest eye roll you’d ever seen.
“That’s putting it lightly,” he muttered.
“Come,” you beckoned as you sat down in one of the empty seats in the middle of the class. You nodded for Severus to join you as you crossed one leg over the other and leaned back in your seat. “Tell me about it. What happened? Was it Potter again?
You smirked at the eye roll Severus gave you in response before tiredly making his way over to the seat across from you.
“Someone’s been stealing supplies for a Polyjuice potion,” he grumbled, pinching the bridge of his nose. “I have reasons to believe it’s Potter and his dunderhead friends.”
You bit back a smile, and raised an eyebrow. “What makes you think it’s him? Do you have evidence?”
“Trouble follows him wherever he goes, isn’t that evidence enough?”
You had trouble holding in a giggle, and Severus glared at you.
“He’s brewed Polyjuice potion before.” Severus continued. “It’s the only thing he can actually do well. And those specific ingredients keep going missing.”
You frown a little and shook your head.
“Really, Severus. I don’t know what you have against that boy, but you’ve got to give him a break,” you encouraged gently. “He’s got enough on his shoulders right now, with the Triwizard Tournament going on.”
“And what if he is stealing from my supplies?” Severus retorted.
“What if he isn’t?” You challenged calmly. Severus sighed again, shaking his head as he gazed at you.
“Should we place bets on whether it’s Potter who’s stealing from you?” You asked jokingly, leaning forward in your seat with a smirk. Severus pressed his lips together in a thin line.
“No.”
“Why not?”
“Because every damned time we make a bet, you win.”
You snickered at Severus’ remark, before standing up from your seat and placing your hand reassuringly on the professor’s shoulder. He looked up at you with dark eyes that warmed very slightly at your touch.
“I truly do not know how you always manage to see the good in people.” He murmured, sighing tiredly. You squeezed his shoulder lightly.
“I just… see the good in everything I guess.” You shrugged. “Even things that seem terrible can be beautiful, if they’re in the right lighting.”
Severus let out a little snort at your comment, shaking his head.
“C’mon grumpypants,” you teased lightly, patting your friend on the back. “I know what’ll cheer you up.”
You walked over to your desk and opened the far left drawer. Upon hearing the dull scrape of wood as the drawer pulled open, Severus looked over at you with the tiniest smile.
“Have you added any teas to your collection?” He asked. He kept a somewhat level expression, but you couldn’t help but grin at the hint of a hopeful tone in his voice.
“I went to Hogsmeade last weekend and got a few more. Some just for you. Come over here and pick one, I’ll put the kettle on.”
Severus stood up just as you moved to the corner of the room to fill the kettle. You noticed out of the corner of your eye how shadow-like he was: the way his cloak billowed slightly as he almost seemed to glide over to your desk.
You heard a few papers rustle as you filled the kettle, and that’s when your heart stopped.
Oh no, oh god no.
You forgot to move your sketchbook, bloody hell.
Maybe Severus was looking at something else, you thought to yourself. Maybe you misheard and he was only rifling through your tea stash-
“Is this… me?”
Nope. He found it. Shit.
You set the kettle down slowly, your hands trembling as you felt a rush of heat fly up to your cheeks.
“S-Sorry?”
You kept your eyes glued to the teacups on the small wooden countertop, trying your best not to cringe as you continued to hear pages being flipped over gently.
“Y/N…” Severus murmured. “You drew these?”
You chewed your lip, just about ready to sink through the floorboards at this point.
“Y-yes.” Your voice came out as a small squeak, barely even intelligible.
You squeezed your eyes shut as you heard gentle footsteps approach you from behind.
“Turn around,” Severus encouraged softly. Clenching your jaw, you tried to ignore the burning heat in your cheeks as you shuffled around to face Severus.
His dark eyes were swirling with so many emotions, you genuinely couldn’t tell what he was thinking. It terrified you. You looked down, and saw that he was holding one of your sketches in his hand.
“I’m sorry,” you whispered. “I don’t show those to anyone, they’re just for me to practice with…”
“This is how you see me?”
You heard Severus‘ voice catch in his throat, and you looked up to see his features had softened into a gentle and almost sad expression. You lowered your gaze to his hands again, taking a closer look at the sketch he brought over.
It was from the Yule Ball a few months ago. You had sketched Severus during dinner after you saw him throw his head back in a hearty laugh, thanks to a dirty joke Professor Sprout had casually dropped at the staff table that night. You couldn’t remember the joke for the life of you, but you’d never forget the way Severus’ eyes lit up with a rare joy few ever saw. Nor would you forget the way his hair curled that night, perfectly framing his face and making him look almost angelic.
“Joy looks good on you.” You explained in the tiniest whisper, pressing your lips together nervously. “I… that was one of my first times seeing you laugh, and I just…”
You trailed off, silently cursing the fact that your face was still as red as ever. Finally, to your relief, Severus set your sketch down. But when you looked up at him, you noticed his eyes were glassy.
Was he… crying?
“Oh.” You gasp softly. “Oh no, I’m sorry. It’s a terrible drawing, I know-”
Severus shook his head. “Stop bloody apologizing. It’s beautiful. All your sketches are. I had no idea.”
“Well, you weren’t supposed to find out.” You muttered, laughing your nerves out softly. Your heart nearly stopped as Severus reached out, gently cradling your hands in his.
“Thank you.” He murmured quietly. “For… what you said.”
You frowned. “What did I say?”
“About… seeing the joy in me,” he replied. “That’s perhaps the kindest thing anyone has ever said to me.”
Your heart sank as you took in Severus’ words. You looked up, your soft eyes meeting his dark ones.
“It’s true.” You said simply. “It doesn’t take an expert to see you’ve been through some real shit, Sev. You deserve to be happy.”
Severus froze at your words, unsure of what to do or how to react. Then, to your surprise, he took one more step forward and closed the distance between the two of you. He wrapped his arms around you, and you nearly gasped at how tightly he held you to him. You returned his embrace without hesitation, finally calming after the initial scare of Severus finding your sketches. He was warm. You could get used to this feeling.
“Thank you, Y/N.” You heard Severus whisper.
“For what?” You asked back just as softly.
“Showing me how you see the world. How you see… me.”

happy accident (law x reader)
law runs into a familiar face :)

Swirling in apprehension, Law isn’t quite sure how to approach you.  Years spent apart had changed you less than he had expected them to; your jaw was sharper, your posture more askew, and the deep purple rings underneath your eyes were even more pronounced than his—and yet, Law thinks, he finds you softer.  The hair that frames your face curls inward and is no longer jagged and choppy, the black in your wardrobe had evidently been replaced with creams and tans and small floral prints, and the edge that had been imbued in each of your carefully selected words no longer emanated from your being.
When he had met you all those years ago in a rural North Blue doctor’s office, you were determined, stubborn to a fault as you begged your father to treat him—or at the very least do something to ease the pain or slow the progression of his disease.  The plea was met with nothing but vitriol, with him screaming at you for disappointing him by being mentally weak and letting emotions cloud your thinking.  Corazón wasn’t spared either and caught an earful too, both for walking in when he wasn’t accepting new patients, and for expecting him to be able to remove the lead from Law’s body at all—let alone in a small, outdated facility.  Despite the insults flung at you, you stood tall and simply bit the side of your tongue and trembled, unwilling to allow the tears welling up in your eyes to fall. The yelling continued long after Corazón had stormed out of the office with Law—enough to be heard from a decent distance away, the vibrations from your father’s screaming reverberating in the snow; it gnawed at the pair to the point where Corazón turned on his heels and scooped you up despite Law’s insistence that it was too dangerous to bring you along.
You were by no means a permanent traveler, only spending roughly a week and a half with them hitching a ride to the next island; your aunt had a house in the country there, and Corazón was more than willing to use his rank as a Marine Commander if need be to spin some yarn to justify why you had to live with her now, by ‘order’ of the World Government.  However, the short time spent with you was a bright spot during his illness.  Quiet, but sharp, you had gotten along well with him, and though you were a bit jaded, you were hopeful, swelling with pure optimism that just as you were headed for a more stable and happy life, that he would get better—that he would live—you were like Corazón in that way.
But now, in stark contrast, Law watches you flip through another row of antique books, looking wholly defeated.  Tension hangs heavy between your neck and shoulder blades as you search in vain for a novel to throw yourself into in a futile attempt to ward off the pain accumulating in your chest.
“Hey.” Law murmurs as he approaches; his fingers skim along the spines of books nearby yours, but he isn’t truly looking—instead, he’s fixated on quelling the rapid beats of his heart as he waits to see if you recognize him.
Your head snaps toward the sound of his voice, lips parting slightly as starry eyes come to life; the sands of time had changed Law immensely, but his strong, steely gaze coupled with that silly snow-leopard print bucket hat that he still wears are a dead giveaway.
“Law!  It’s really you!” you exclaim, trembling with excitement as you soak in his presence, melding the image of the man in front of you with the hazy, murky memory of the boy you had befriended so long ago.  You weren’t surprised that he had survived—earlier this week the World Government had issued a small bounty on him; assuming he was already sailing out of the North Blue and towards the Grand Line, you had resigned yourself to the idea of never seeing him again, though it seemed fate had other plans for you.
“I heard you were living around here, so I figured I’d pay you a visit.”  Law says with a sly smile, slightly shocked by how smoothly the words come out.  It was a bit of a fib—he was secretly hoping he might run into you when traveling through this set of islands, but the real reason he was here was to stock up on food; still in the process of figuring out how to properly manage resources on the Polar Tang, Law had unfortunately found out that if left unchecked, Bepo was capable of going through a week’s worth of provisions in less than an hour.
“I really appreciate it—” you sputter out.  Often the one pouring effort into others, being on someone's mind was foreign to you. “I—I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately.” you admit with a nervous laugh, face flushing pink as you struggle to spit your words out.
Amused, the edge of Law’s lip quirks upward. “So, I take it you’ve seen the poster.” he says, leaning in slightly and lowering his voice in case there were any prying ears nearby.
“Yep—though I figured you’d be long gone by now.” you reply sheepishly.  Law notes you’re markedly more relaxed than before, letting your shoulders hang loose as you mirror his actions and lean a smidge closer to him.
“Tch.  Not without you.” he says with a crooked grin; as the words come out, he momentarily worries about a potential rejection of his offer that’s admittedly phrased more like an order, but the way your face lights up stabilizes his confidence.
“Are you sure?” you ask with a hopeful grin, giving him one last out before fully emotionally attaching yourself to the opportunity.
“I wouldn’t have said it if I wasn’t sure.” he teases; his voice is deeper, but he still speaks to you with the same direct, blunt nature that you found so endearing years ago.
“Just making sure.” you say with a soft giggle, a bit embarrassed from his sly reassurance.  With the matter of whether or not you were coming with him now settled, he gives you a run down of the Polar Tang and their current situation, rambling for quite a while before realizing that he’d barely asked you any questions about what you’ve been up to as of late.
“I’ve been studying chemistry—I actually just finished an accelerated program.” you tell him; now it was your turn to ramble on about your thesis project, and everything you’d studied beforehand, happy to have a captivated audience as he hangs onto your every word.
“Good.  It’ll be useful to have someone able to synthesize basic analgesics and extract compounds on board.” he says in response when you bring up your experience with chemical synthesis, though his words make you start to sputter once more.
“I don’t know too much about medicinal chemistry yet, I don’t know how helpful I’ll be—” you reply, worried about overstating your abilities, but Law interjects before you can put yourself down too much.
“Don’t worry.  You’ve got all the time in the world to learn.” he says reassuringly, leaving no room in his tone for opposition; it clicks for you in that moment that it didn’t matter what you planned to do to make yourself useful on the Polar Tang—he simply wants your company.
As you talk, he catches your head peering past his shoulder every so often, gaze fixed well above his head as you scan the room; Law knows exactly who you’re looking for, but his tongue twists into a knot, unable to string the words together to tell you what happened to Corazón—at least not right now.  Instead, he gestures behind him at the three young men—one significantly furrier than the other two—intently watching you with dopey grins on their faces.
“This is Shachi, Penguin, and—” he begins, only to be cut off by his navigator introducing himself with enthusiasm.
“And I’m Bepo!” he shouts happily, though he quickly hangs his head and apologizes upon catching a glare from Law for interrupting him.  Finding his silly behavior endearing, you can’t help but let out a tiny giggle that you stifle behind your hand.
As you mingle with them, laughing at all of Shachi’s painfully corny jokes and making some of your own in return, Law can’t help but smile as he hangs back and observes.  Watching the sway of your skirt as you ask Bepo a dozen curious questions about cartography, he notices the flowers adorning the fabric are bleeding hearts; touched by the sentiment, his hand unconsciously traces over his tattoos through his sweatshirt.  Though you still were blissfully unaware of Corazón's fate, Law is glad he isn’t the only one who has carried his memory with them all this time.  The loss often weighs on his heart like a heavy blanket of snow, but finding you again—someone who knew him, even for a short while, eases his burden ever so slightly.

y/n.hughes Q, you taught me what familial love really is. you took a quiet, introverted, anxiety ridden, 13 year old girl under your wing, and i’m so grateful for that. you constantly reminded me that my home life did not make me who i was, but that it could help shape me into who i wanted to become. it’s because of you that i met my soulmate and have the amazing family and support system that i have now. where everyone else saw an outcasted 8th grader who snuck in to watch hockey practices, you saw someone who needed your love and guidance, and you had never been more right. you showed me that my house was not a home, but yours was. you showed me that i could live a life that made me feel good. and most importantly, you showed me what it was like to feel loved and wanted in someone’s life.
i’m so thankful that i get to call you my brother. i’m thankful that when i call, you answer; when i cry, you do anything to make me smile; and when i’m living, you’re cheering me on.
i love you from the north pole to the south, a million times over 🤍 thank you for providing me with the chance to be happy “because i deserve it”
happy 24th, snuggles!

You’re One of Us Now.
Sully Family x GN!Reader (platonic) | Word Count: 1816 Words
Tw: Minor mention of Self Harm.
Written before the release of Avatar: The Way of Water, some facts may be inaccurate.
Synopsis: Having grown up in the confines of the RDA, you plan to fake your death on a data collection expedition to become one with the Pandoran jungle, yet you stumble across an unlikely family of Na’vi who take you in as one of their own.
The reader is seventeen.
Tumblr media
Pandora was all I had ever known, having grown up in the RDA’s base I understood the dangers of the world outside. Yet despite this I yearned for the embrace of the forest, yearned to live as one of the people, to leave humanity behind and forge a new life among the Omaticaya.
But I was a soldier, a weapon of war against my will… and I wanted out.
Yet for now I have to pose as a perfect cog in the machine. I conform to Quaritch’s rules to earn the privilege to be selected for intel expedition. Whist being a soldier, I was exceptional in navigation and botany. I hoped that my skills would put me as a candidate for the upcoming expedition in three days.
Standing at attention on the training grounds Quaritch marched back and forth eyeing us all off. He was more imposing than ever, the towering Navi body he embodied was enough to strike fear into even the toughest of men.
“All right ladies and gentlemen, in light of last expeditions failure in attempting to gather subsequent data of neurotoxins used by the Omaticaya, it has resulted in the loss of five of your fellow soldiers.”
My breath was caught in my throat as Quaritch listed off the names of the next team, that was until the final candidate was called, it was my own. I held in my smile as I knew it was my only chance of getting out of the program.
After being sent back to my room, I lay down on my cot and watch the raindrops dribble down the windowpane, I watch the wind sway the trees and animals call out into the night as the as I finalise my plan to escape under the noses of my squad.
Before I knew it, I was wearing the oxygen mask and prepped with my botany data collection devices. Stepping out of the pressure lock we march single file out of the gates and into the wilderness. My squad and I marched for what felt like hours before we reached a zone reading high levels of toxicity, as the five of us spread around the location collecting data on the flora I call out.
“I’m heading North-west as I see a specimen not yet recorded on the data bank.” My squad not even rearing their heads from their specimens made noises of understanding, one even calling out to “Watch out for the locals”.
Treading carefully, I come to a stop once I was sure I was out of sight before preparing my diversion. Taking my pocket knife out I slashed at the tress nearby mimicking the claw marks of a Thanator and spraying Thanator scents around the area. I then nicked my hands and smeared my blood around the scene, kicking the dirt around to mimic a struggle and my data devices leaving them strewn across the ground.
With a last bitter smile, I took the blade to my uniform and sawing off the crest of the RDA and leaving it as the scene. I then ran off into the unknown leaving my old life behind, blissful tears accumulating in my mask as I free myself from the shackles of humanity and let my mind and soul become one with the forests of Pandora.
I ran until my legs gave in as I collapse into a field of plush grass and I gaze up at my surrounds, trees loom over me shielding me from the light rains that wash over the lands. That’s when I heard a gasp and scampering nearby. My head darts to my left as I watch carefully for movement. That’s when I see her, a young Omaticayian girl crouched and almost invisible against the bioluminescence of the forest she dwells in.
“Hi, I won’t hurt you, I’m not with them.” I call as I see her eyes dilate and ears twitch with recognition of my words.
“Your human.” The Na’vi states yet remains hidden.
“Indeed I am.” I smile gently but I make no indication of moving as not to frighten the girl away.
After a moment of reflection, the Na’vi stands and walks towards me apprehensively, she towers over my sitting form as I gaze upwards. She points to herself.
“I’m Kiri, and you?”
“I’m (Y/n)”
“-(Y/n), what a strange name” Kiri mutters to herself but I couldn’t help but let out a chuckle at her words. Her eyes dart back to mine from my sudden noise. Kiri’s wide eyes trail down my figure, as if she was analysing me for any threat.
“KIRI, WHERE DID YOU GO?!” A man’s voice calls in Na’vi tongue from deeper in the forest.
“COMING FATHER!” Kiri calls back as she races towards the forest line, that was until her Father beat her there alongside two young boys trailing close behind, his eyes scan her form for injury as his eyes observe his surroundings… until his gaze lands on me. I sit there petrified of the look in his eyes.
Weariness and protective.
My breath catches in my throat, even if I wanted to run I couldn’t, it was like I was paralysed. He pulled Kiri behind him as the younger boys peeked out from behind their Father.
“Who are you and what are you doing this far in the Omaticaya’s lands” He spoke in fluent English.
“My name is (Y/n) (L/n), I was a soldier and botanist, I’ve abandoned the RDA to dedicate my heart to the forest and everything living within it.” I spoke with complete resolution despite my heart thumping in fear of what he would do to me.
He approached me as I remained sitting in fear that he would strike me down if I moved an inch. I gazed upon his imposing figure as his dreadlocks framed his stern eyes that flickered over my body.
His face contorted in a scowl once he spotted my pocket knife nestled in my boot. My gaze follows it, my gaze widened as I came to this realisation.
“Here.” I spoke curtly as I pulled the knife out and handing it to him keeping it closed. He took it and caught sight my wound on the palm of my hand.
“Your injured.” He spoke his tone softening as he gathered that I wasn’t a threat to his kin.
“Self-inflicted.”
His eyebrows furrowed in what appeared to be a hint of concern. I elaborated.
“I had to fake my death to escape… I used my blood to mimic a Thanator attack.”
“I see.” He said. He mulled over his thoughts for a moment before continuing.
“I’m Jake Sully. These are my some of kids, Kiri, Neteyam and Lo’ak.” He introduced gesturing behind him.
Kiri smiled back at me as she stuck up a little thumbs up in approval.
“So why did you leave the RDA (Y/n).”
I let out a sigh as my mind flashed back to my childhood within the RDA as I spoke carefully.
“I- I was born in the base, confined to its walls for years before being forged into a soldier. Yet despite this I always had a passion for botany – plants – I had yearned to be able to freely explore the forest and grew an appreciation for the Na’vi through the data files… I never thought I fit in… I felt like an outcast.” I took another breath to calm myself, “I understand if you want to kill me due to my affiliation, and I won’t hold any resentment to you or your people if you so decide.”
“Come.” Jake stated and offered me a hand. I accepted it without a second thought, my hand only wrapping around two of his fingers. Jake pulled me to my feet and proceeded to lead me deeper into to forest. Neteyam – I came to learn who was the oldest of the boys – spoke to me in curt English.
“Hello, I am Neteyam. You are short.” He stated, he seemed quite proud of himself for speaking to me. I smiled gently at his attempt of communicating with me.
“Hello Neteyam, I’m (Y/n). Nice to meet you. You are correct I am short.” I replied.
“I’m Lo’ak!” The shorter boy piped up. “I’m great at speaking Sky People language.”
“English Lo’ak. These Human’s speak English.” Jake corrected from his position from the front. Neteyam laughed and gave his younger brother a punch to the arm, which resulted in a yelp from Lo’ak. Jake spun around at the noise and glared at Neteyam as he deducted what happened.
“Apologise Neteyam.” Jake spoke in Na’vi.
“What!” Neteyam exclaimed.
“Now –” Jake growled baring his teeth. With a stutter Neteyam apologised picking at his fingers.
“S-sorryyy Lo’akkkk –” Neteyam apologised as he continued walking.
We soon reached a point where Jake motioned Kiri, Neteyam and Lo’ak to begin their accent up into the trees, they fly up the trunk with ease. Jake looked at me as I gape as how far the climb is. He then bent down and motioned me to climb onto his back. I gently pull myself onto his back careful not to bump his queue. We quickly reach the top and I see an intricately woven home nestled into the trees canopy. Standing on the edge of the home is Kiri, Neteyam, Lo’ak, an older Omaticayian woman I figured was their Mother with a small child in her arms… and a human boy.
“Neytiri, Spider, Tuktiery, I’m home” Jake called as he carefully slid me off his back. I nervously hide behind Jake at the look Neytiri was giving us.
“Jake why is there a human on your back.” She hissed in Na’vi.
“I can explain ‘Tiri.”
“Explain what? that you brought another human into our home.” My eyes widened as I try and quell the tremors of her wrath. The toddler – I assumed was Tuktiery – began to whine in her Mother’s arms as the commotion.
“They are not one of them, I can sense they are good, please trust me!” Jake begged his lover.
Neytiri glared down at me and let out a sigh.
“One chance Jake, one.” Neytiri caved.
“Thank you, my love.” Jake turned to me with a smile.
“You’re one of us now” He smiled his gaze falling down to my wound again. “Let’s get you cleaned up now.” Jake offered as he grabbed some medicinal berries, I had never seen in the data files before. My eyes shone and he crushed them into a paste and applied it before wrapping it in cloth. As he finished tying the knot Jake looked down to me and smiled softly.
“Your safe here, I understand what’s it’s like to not fit in.” He whispered for only me to hear.
“You were from the Avatar program weren’t you.” I stated in a whisper.
Jake could only smile knowingly at my statement.
“Welcome to the family.”
