But once she finishes the album she immediately misses Luke. So she try’s to cuddle with him on the couch but it’s kinda hard with her bump.
she shuffles out to the living room at like 4am, finding him passed out snoring on the couch, and tries to crawl on and cuddle with him, but he’s immediately waking up at the feeling of her bump pressing into him.
“ready to be my girl again, eh?” his voice is raspy, laced with sleep as he squints his eyes open to peer down at dolly.
her eyes struggle to stay open, dark circles surrounding her under-eyes, and she sleepily nods.
“it was a poetic masterpiece.” she informs him, “not that i doubted it would be.”
“hmm,” luke hums, “i’m sure it was. can we go to the bed now?”
dolly whines, throwing her head back like a toddler throwing a fit, “i just got comfy!”
luke chuckles, “i’m glad you are, but your bump is pressing into my side and i’m squished against the back of the couch. i want the bed.”

he’s regretting his decision immediately— he didn’t think it would mean he wouldn’t be allowed to sleep in his bed and he wouldn’t get to cuddle his girl!
but at his pout, dolly just shrugs and smiles innocently, telling him “i mean, you could also ask to sleep in jack’s bed with him, i guess? that’s also an option.”

luke’s head rears back, his lips parting in shock, “no! we should really get you tested for insanity.” he sighs, “but fine, we can fake break up for the night.”
“oh good! you’re sleeping on the couch.”

El doesn’t know to feel having to share her mommy with someone else.
she really doesn’t! she’s so conflicted because on one hand, that’s her mommy. but on the other hand, that’s her leo and so she should be glad her mommy is taking care of him. she’s just at a loss— sometimes she’s crying because she wants her mommy and she has elio instead, but then other times she’s happy to embrace the time with her dad or uncle luke!

i haven’t gotten this question yet!!
it’s definitely a change! they’re fortunate enough to have luke around to help, for now, and they’re so grateful for that, but it’s a lot of nights with only a couple hours of sleep!
luckily, luke has been a great help with keeping el occupied and happy! elio has been attached to lovie, as he’s only a week and 4 days old, so he’s feeding every 2 hours and taking lots of naps in her arms!

ohhh, then my best advice is to listen intently to what the instructor says in the beginning because usually they’ll go over their expectations! check your mirrors, know where your emergency break, flashers, and turn signals are!! and don’t overthink it! you know how to drive, you got this, love!

that’s the written test, right? sorry, it’s been 7 years since i’ve taken that and i’m a bit tipsy so i can’t think!
but my best advice would be to make sure you study, and don’t be too nervous, love! i promise, it’s okay if you don’t pass the first time because you have plenty of chances to retake it!
