please look inside yourself and ask yourself why you are so un-christ-like as to suggest that how god created someone - as gay or trans or both or neither - is insufficient for you, for lack of a better term, approve of how they were born. god creates everyone perfectly. that includes in making them trans or gay. and i'm sorry, but i don't think you know better than god.
We are all insufficient. We are all born into sin, insufficient of God's love and grace. I am a liar and a bad friend and have experienced struggle with lust and anger and so many other sins. I was insufficient from the moment I was born. We all were. All of us born dirty sinners with no hope of a relationship with God.
And yet in His great love, He sent Jesus to die for us. Jesus took all of our sins, big and small, so that we could be forgiven and redeemed. Because of God's mercy and grace, I am able to be sanctified. To become a better friend and focus on preparing myself for if I ever marry a Godly man. To learn discipline and to no longer feel desires to lie or steal or hurt people. Only through God's grace and mercy am I the person I am today, sinful though I still am - and will be until Christ returns.
I absolutely do not know better than God. If I've at all implied that, I beg forgiveness. God's way is higher than my way, and He knows best.
However I have read the Bible, God's word that He has given us in His love. I understand that men and men can have deep, close relationships, as can women and women. But marriage is to be an example of God's union with His church, and sexual relations are to be kept inside the bond of a husband and wife. The husband represents Jesus, who died for His bride and sacrificed everything for her. The wife represents the church, who supports and helps and loves. To meddle with this example of God's love and the order of His world is sinful, to make the explanation short. And because I want people to understand the beauty of doing things God's way, in everything, I will call out my brothers and sisters - in love, and ideally in a preexisting relationship- when I see them sinning.
In the end, nothing I say will convince you - only God can convict you. Who knows - maybe I am wrong after all. But as I read the Bible more and pray more and spend more time with God, I pray my desires will align with His desires - because He is my creator and He knows what's best for me - and if I am in sin, I trust that He will reveal that to me and give me the strength to overcome.
But I do want to say again. No one is sufficient in our own strength. No one is perfect. We all sin. To think otherwise is to be deceived. Only through Christ's sacrifice can we be saved and changed.

BUT I ALSO DIDNT#i love english. both language and literature#but it would take me hours to even work out what i was supposed to write unless it was under timed exam conditions#when it was timed the panic would put me into hyperdrive#but i only realised last night that maybe taking a full day to work out what to write on a simple essay might not be normal#but then people point out that this kinda thing is normal and i just. dont know.#do i have adhd or am i just giving myself excuses for being slow#or do i expect others to be so much faster and see myself as slow in comparison#im so sure i have adhd but i dont know either

summary: while staying over at your boyfriends house, you get your period. basically just ethan hunt being the gorgeous and perfect and comforting guy that he is.

a/n: hello lovlies!! I hope your all having a great day, and thank you so much for clicking on this post! it is seriously so cold where I live, there is snow and it feels kinda like Christmas🎅 the grammar in this is probably whack, thats because Im trying to write a history essay right now and all of my 'grammar-ly thoughts' are going into that. sooooo, enjoy whatever this story is! ✌️😚
Last night was the first time you had stayed over at your boyfriend, Ethan's house. Now of course you had slept over before, but last night was the very first time that the two of you had actually orchestrated plans for you to stay over. Instead of scavenging his bathroom cupboards for an extra toothbrush or some form of cleanser that wasn't a 3 in 1 wash for face, hair, body, groin, feet and lord knows what else, you had packed all of your cosmetics and a comfy pair of pjs to sleep in. However, you didn't exactly wear the pyjamas for very long upon your arrival.
When you woke up, it took you a moment to realize where you were. The feeling of Ethan's arm wrapped loosely around your waist and the sun filtering through the blinds in the way similar to that of a Monet painting reassured your busy mind as the memories from last night played over in your head. Fall was in full bloom outside, and you felt warm and safe beneath the covers. That is, until you moved from your side onto your back.
As you pivoted beneath the sheets you felt a unwanted but yet familiar gush in-between your thighs. Your heart rate began to rise, and the pit of your stomach began to sink as you noticed the damp sensation in your underwear. You slowly pulled back the sheets, shimming your hips up, revealing a red spot from where you had been sleeping. Sure the spot was small, but it still was a stain of blood in your boyfriend's light grey bedsheets.
You rolled your eyes, just great.
So confidently, you had slept in only your panties and one of Ethan's t-shirts, which had hit just below your waist. The one time you didnt actually sleep in a pair of cheap ratty Walmart sweatpants is the time when miss flo decided to pay a visit.
You cursed silently as you brought yourself up, sitting vertically in bed.
On the chair in the corner lay your small duffel with your belongings. You would rise from bed, grab a change of clothes, and head into the bathroom and change. After in a fresh pair of panties and a new oversized t-shirt courtesy of Ethan, you would crawl back into bed and pretend that this all was a dream. The only problem, was the bed sheets. What the hell were you going to do about those?
It seemed, the moment you thought about how to keep Ethan sleeping and somehow remove the soaked sheet, Ethan was already stirring. "y/n?" he mumbled, barely awake, his green eyes meeting with the sun for the first time today.
You ran a hand through his messy brown hair, reassuring him of your presence, "Shhh," you hushed him, in a tone that was somehow quieter than a whisper, "go back to sleep."
Ethan blinked a couple of times before bringing his eyes up to yours. "What's wrong?" he asked, perhaps noticing the sheets pulled around your waist or the worried look in your eyes. "Are you okay?"
You nodded, tugging the sheets up, "I got my period," you replied, saying that last work as if it were a curse. Even saying it made you want to crawl away and pretend like you didn't just leave a notable mark on your boyfriends pressed linen sheets.
You were so embarrassed. Yeah, of course Ethan knew you had a period, you were a woman of a certain age after all, but it was never something the two of you had ever really discussed before. Sure, in passing you might have companied about your cramps, or asked him to come lay on the couch with you, but you never had openly talked about it with him before, and for some reason, this made you nervous.
You brought your hands up to your face, rubbing them over your eyes in embarrassment. You felt so humiliated.
"Hey," Ethan said reassuringly, sitting up, reaching for your hands, lulling them down from your eyes, "its okay y/n. It's all natural."
You shook your head, still refusing to meet his gaze.
"Do you need me to get you anything?" he asked, propping himself up on one of the pillows.
"A change of clothes?" he offered, "I can drive to Walgreens and pick up some pads if you need?"
You nodded, taking a hold of Ethan's hand, "That would be really nice Ethan," you said, offering him a gentle smile, "but thats not what I'm worried about."
Running a hand though his hair in the nonchalant way he always seemed to, "what is it then?" He spoke softly.
"I kinda leaked onto your sheets," you said, embarrassed, "Do you have a change?"
Ethan nodded, but before he could speak, you interjected, "I'm so sorry Ethan. This isn't how I wanted my first real time over here to end up."
Ethan took your hand in his, bringing it up to his lips to press a featherlight kiss on the back of your palm, "Waking up next to you is all I ever wanted," he spoke softly, "and I got to do that today y/n."
"So please," he begun gently, "let me help you."
"Go hop in the shower, change into one of my t-shirts and by the time you're done, the sheets will be changed and I will be back with some things from the pharmacy."
You looked up, finally meeting his gaze, "Ethan," you cooed, "what did I ever do to deserve you?"
...
So you did as Ethan wished. You showered, changed into his navy blue t-shirt that always seemed to bring out his eyes, and when you were done blowdrying your hair, Ethan was back with a whole bag of items.
"I wasn't too sure what to get," Ethan smiled, handing you a grocery bag that seemed to have perhaps a bit too much in it, "so I just got it all."
Sitting up in the chair opposite of the island, you peered into the bag, pulling out not one but three packs of pads and one case of tampons. Oh, and also, there was a heating pack, Tylenol, a small stuffed dog with eyes smilier to the colour of Ethan's, and enough candy and sweets for three months of time. You laughed whole heartedly, "Ethan," you smiled, pulling your boyfriend in by the collar of his jacket, "You're the best."
Ethan planted a kiss on your forehead, "Only for you."

It's by @ariaste who is also a famous author, and if she's right, even a little bit, it explains SO MUCH about the inconsistency and 'bad writing' and backsliding of s2. This is me after reading it, absolutely mindblown

So, I read it (across like 3 days time) because I love and care about you all, and I would never make an opinion about something if I hadn't known about it in great detail, and the entire time I was reading it, I thought:
MAN it would be SO embarrassing if this is NOT the case. And the author of the essay had just insulted Neil Gaiman and his writing for a grand total of 36 pages. They are even meaner to the season than I am 😂 and posting this on main (when they are apparently a published author?), what a power move. Through the middle I keep questioning myself that maybe THIS ESSAY is an elaborate scheme, and OP just purely HATED the season but didn't want to insult Neil Gaiman to his face, so they came up with the world's most convoluted way to insult Neil Gaiman's writing without him noticing. 🤣🤣🤣
IF OP is 100% correct about everything (I personally think very unlikely) then...kudos to them. I tip my hat to them. Still not to season 2 tho because like OP themselves kinda explained in their essay, showing me a bunch of random things isn't the full magic trick, so you can't expect me to clap after it. (The only thing I'm upset about reading in the essay is actually that -- I'm a little annoyed that OP compared one of my favorite Penn and Teller routines to this dumpster fire that is season 2 🤣 THEY ARE NOT THE SAME. The Penn and Teller routine is incredible and entertaining and well-structured here it is)
If OP is wrong and Neil Gaiman actually wrote this season genuinely (which I think he did)......OP would have called Neil Gaiman a "Hack" and a "Clumsy Apprentice Writer" (both of these are OP's words, not mine) for 36 pages in 16k words, and I can't wait to see their metaphorical face when season 3 comes out. Actually, in a way, adaed5, you did change my mind; I now want season 3 to be greenlit and made just for that to play out.

unfortunately I do not have the skills to write this but I’ve been thinking so much about vale and marc fucking after assen 2015. vale being on cloud nine because he just won and marc has been showing him through his words and body language that he’s capable of feeling anger towards vale too, and it makes vale feel less of a piece of shit for having experienced this exact same feeling towards marc from the start of the season. and marc is so mad but he can’t just reject vale one of the few time he’s actually in a good mood, he can’t reject vale at all really. while vale just wants to kiss marc so bad to taste the bitterness in his mouth. also i know vale loves when marc is acting like a brat towards him, playing hard to get, which makes vale even more insane when marc still ends up losing his head under vale’s hands 🙃
assen 2015 is weird because looking back yeah of course vale was more irritated about marc's reaction than he said, and the relationship was probably starting to show its cracks a bit more. BUT assen was in JUNE and they didnt actually get divorced until OCTOBER. so theres like four full months of them still being visibly on good terms (they did post race grabby hands at sachsenring! and indy! and motegi!) until the ACTUAL trigger for divorce kicks in and vale starts feeling the pressure of jorge gaining and the uccio Telemetry Powerpoint of Evil influences his whims. and as much as ive written essays about assen as linchpin to divorce, it should be noted that both of them were very sweet and happy in that post-race pressconference, and even when theyre disagreeing theyre joking around! like rosquez dont generally like to do their confrontations head-on off-track (with a few notable exceptions). even in argentina. send uccio etc. SOOO all this to say they were absolutely fucking nasty at assen. undoubtably. i was there i SAW it
and it IS a little tense from vale but alsooooo they are not talking about why it is tense (vale is TRYINGGG to be cool and chill and marc is still cheerfully stubborn in believing he should win but also being like. its on track why would that matter to vale ?? he is like me he can separate it :) [<- clueless]) so i think. in order to incorporate the lovelyyyy idea you had about marc being a little brat and to incorporate their insanely messed up communication style during this period we can have marc JOKING (not entirely) about how he should have won in a bratty little skit that doesnt quiteeee land and vale playing along, while still nurturing a beautiful knot of resentment in his narrow little elf-man chest...
like marc IS being a leedle annoying a little goofy and vale usually finds it more charming BUT he also WON todayyyyyy and he loves assen so hes gonna have some fun. hot twink that he is in love with is throwing himself at him cmon. and maybe marc is postrace sweaty, shows up at wherever vale is... and hes like midsentence jabbering about the chicane or whatever, playing petulant but not really that mad, laughing more than anything, and vale's sitting down and cannot fucking believe this guy but also. this is before the paranoia sets in!!! and thats just marc!!! and hes being goofy and so beautiful and IRRITATING and vale just pulls him into his lap. cuts him off with an absolutely NASTY kiss. much ado about nothing voice come, i will stop thy mouth... and it starts off with vale getting a little rougher than normal. a little handsier. biting a little harder. line of hickies up marc's neck like this imageeee and a hand big and possessive on his lower back. consuming. and marc is so lost in the babygirl sauce hes just like completely onboard for the vibe shift when vale starts tugging at his clothes and thatsssss why he rates assen as his favorite moment of the season later <3 because vale fought with him on track and then made him come TWICE <3
#if i had a dollar everytime i googled motogp 2015 season to look up the results on wikipedia i would be. so rich#the thing is i dont think marc is hard to get. oh youre gonna think im so lame. it's essay writing. ahdjsjdkaksk. i think i told you before but i write book reviews for every book i read and my writing feels so Natural then because it's like. every line has a purpose to prove my point about the book. whenever im feeling rusty with narrative writing i find myself telling myself 'okay pretend this is an essay and this whole story is trying to prove your thesis about the characters' ahdjsj

bren 🥹 ily. my hanahaki wip is really fun and i feel like has a lot of good writing because it really demands a lot of descriptiveness. i have this section when adrien sees gabriel for the first time in a while that i kept scrolling up and rereading
He knows, logically, that this is his father. You can't forget a face like that, the face you searched for in vain at every fencing tournament, piano recital, fashion gala that you knew full well he hadn’t attended but you were tired and wanted an adult to hold your hand and guide you around the crowds.
It is that face. But a mimicry of it, like a portrait with the wrong proportions.
He’s gaunt — it’s the first word that comes to mind. His eyes sit deep in their sockets beneath his glasses, jaw a sharp trapezoid attached to his cheeks. It’s not just a matter of losing weight over the months — which, even if it was, would be a surprising deviation from the seventy-five kilos he had not shifted a decimal of a gram from in thirty years. It’s everything else, the biology hidden behind the layers of perfectly-tailored clothing, and well-combed hair, and skin, although pristine, textured like paper over the canvas of his skull.
🍎What's something you learned while researching for a fic?
did i ever tell you about how when i went to paris last year i literally knew where everything was by arrondissements because ive searched them up so many times for ml fics. i think it was even specifically rue lepic that i remember the most because i once wrote about ladynoir patrolling around there and it turned out to be the road right next to my hotel (yes, we got a hotel in pigalle, my paris knowledge did not supply me with what exactly pigalle is known for,)
⏳If you could go back in time and tell your younger writer self something, what would it be?
literally not to lose that unwarranted confidence i had. at age eleven i was pounding out 50k+ word multichapter fics for my first fandom and like. the plots are so questionable. but when i reread them now im genuinely impressed at the quality of writing i had at that age. i think as i hit 13/14 i went through that phase where i was like ohhh my god i was sooo embarrassing when i was a kid and that insecurity really hindered my writing progress! i think creativity needs you to be unapologetic and cringe. that's when the best stuff is made because it's Real

I didnt see that there was an update until now and i dont feel like discording and i just read the new chapter so here i am with my few main points bc i dont feel like doing a full live reaction👍👍🫶
Seeing Jeeto come into play in any capacity at all makes me feel like a proud parent watching their children grow. Its always wonderful like those are my emotional support middle aged fictional men. I watched them go from conspiracy to getting crumbs to now their "dates" and gossiping together. Youve gotta love it. Those are my children. Im so proud of them. But im also scared because you killed shen so obviously my feeligns mean nothing to you 🙄😒😒. (Im never going to get over that, im going to be 80 years old in some pst apocolypic enviroment with horrors all around me, but im going to be having nightmares about shen. Ill send you my therapy bill) (im going to get a tattoo in his memory istg)
Also its always really subtle but its funny to see your specific linguistical patterns in liab esp because i can never really explain it. Like ill read a random sentence and be like 'yeah that seems like sreeder wrote it' i just think its neat.
I also really loved zukka this chapter. But i always lovr zukka so its not a surprise. But espesially this chapter because its mostly soft zukka.

The 'moving forward' ness of zukka in liab is so nicely written. Like ive been reading liab since (almost) the beginning and it has been a ride and its starting to feel more conclusive and that is SCARY but its also nice because you write it very well and i adore the way you write trauma and the healing of it and the ups and downs and the two steps forward two steps backness. Its very lovely.
I knew ara was going to have a suicide attempt (esque situation (idk if that counts)) i called it i win.
Idc what others say ara will always be amazing. I love her character SO MUCH
i feel like you can always tell the strengths of a writer in the way they write complicated characters and the way you write ara is very telling of that. Like the fragility and also harshness used for her is very realistic and i always enjoy her parts so much.
Like her deciding to move on independant of how zuko or sokka feel about it is and regardless of whether people thinks she 'deserves it' is immaculate.
And thats a good example on your specific strengths as the author of liab (being able to handle delicate situations well, and realistically and make them very thought out and not rushed, stuff like that).
But her 'i need to start getting along with other girls' is great because like,, RHATS SO TRUE. she is genuienlly one of my favorite characters of all time, i could write essays on why i love her. Exquisite.

I didn’t see much of Lando or Danny’s responses but from what I did see they didn’t outright agree with what Christian’s done so it’s not as bad as it would be had they outright agreed with him
sure they didn't agree but they also wanted to 'block out the noise'. they didnt agree but they thought of it as a 'distraction'. they didnt agree but they continued to invalidate the victim and the situation.
some people are saying lando's response is fake, and honestly i dont know. all i know is that them saying those thing still left the same effect as them agreeing with h*rner: women in the paddock knowing if they step up and say something, no one will pay any attention to them and they have a risk of losing their job + men in power in the paddock now knowing that they can do shit and get away with it.
nobody expected them to write a full essay on the situation. all we wanted was them to say 'this shouldn't be happening in f1' and 'i hope the victim gets justice'?? idk seems weird to me that they can't even say that and they continue to act like this is drama

i want to spend a whole day doing nothing but listening to all of techdog. i want to be alone with nothing but my thoughts and this project.
techdog 1-4 are full of fun rhythms and melodies, that keep lasting longer and longer as the albums progress. when listening to the albums sequentially, you dont really notice the track length increasing. 4’s tracks feel as long as 1’s did, at least in my memories of it.
techdog 5 is where we reach act 2. uncertainty permeates through this album. the tracks become more ambient, and more ominous, hinting at whats to come. despite this, i still hear some hope in the tracks. it ends on a track that reveals what is coming, but i still hear hope through the noise. it ends with a sudden drop, then silence.
6 begins immediately. the first track starts with complete noise. the only constant being a low drone. the track spends over a minute fading out. then we are back to noise.
this album is the first noise music ive enjoyed listening to. i normally get bored by it, but this one showed my that noise music can be interesting to hear. i still feel the idm of techdog 1-4 in the tracks, the origin of these albums being vaguely gestured at through all the sound.
6 ends with a very hopeful track. did we leave the storm? or did we reach the eye? i dont know, and i dont think it matters. we have found a relief from the noise, and we celebrate in triumph. and we end on a happy note.
7 starts in silence. the storm has faded, and we are left. the slight breeze is all that remains. we’re happy to be out of the noise, but we’re left with nothing to focus on, and nothing to do. we cant go back to the start, the fun of 1-4 is many hours behind us now. we are left with nothing.
i dont normally like ambient/drone music. i normally get bored by it. even when trying to use it as background sound to do something else to, i dont really care much for it. i planned to play a game while listening to 7, but as i listened to the first track, i sat there in silence, unable to focus on choosing a game. i was fully focused on nothing but the slight breeze, and i realised i was fine with that. i was doing nothing. normally i tend to push myself into doing something, because otherwise i feel like im not being productive. but for once i was fine with just listening an empty track. there was nothing, and it had my full attention.
after listening to wind for longer than the duration of techdog 1, you get to hear a note. it didnt feel like i was waiting that long. my internal clock was broken by these tracks.
i havent finished 7 yet. i dont have enough time today to listen to it all, but i will soon. out of what ive heard so far, its been amazing. i could probably write a whole essay on just how the radio silence voicemail track made me feel.
i want to hear this full project, in its whole over half a day length, from start to finish, without anything else to do, left with just these albums and my thoughts.

I've mostly seen a bunch of analysis from everyone about Blake's part of the confession, but I think I'm more enamored with yang' part because we rarely see her so open about her own raw ROMANTIC feelings about blake to Blake's face, every other time its mostly been her trying to give words of encouragement, reassuring her things will be okay between them. But she was always so scared to scare blake away if she were ever honest about how she actually about her, partly bc abandonedment issues partly she didnt want to remind blake of adam. And the way Blake looks softly at her as yang gives these compliments and confession just speaks to the volumes screentime we've seen where Blake just feels utterly safe with Yang, "kinda scary but isn't" and you can see that here. Yang, the big bad beast who will tear you a part if you touch the people she loves (get fucked adam), but every single time she's with blake she's always so gentle with her, with her words with her hands, the way she still silently asks blake for permission to kiss her when looking at her lips and then back at her eyes, or how she continously gently pulls her in closer by the waist. You can tell Yang has been wanting to do that for ages, to hold and kiss Blake in the safety of her arms for 2 years now.
Oh for sure. I have seen some analysis on Yang's side of it. I'm pretty sure I mentioned a small blurb on it after the episode aired. I think a lot of people gravitated to what Blake said because of Yang's reaction to it. the surprise that was so evident on Yang's face at her words, and the fact that Blake was the quiet one that didn't really talk about anything. She doesn't give up her secrets so easily, so when she could have taken a cop out and said "I think your hair/eyes is/are beautiful," to slightly mirror Yang's "I think your cat ears are cute," comment and she doesn't, it was a big deal. She took the initiative, she was the one running headfirst into this where that's usually Yang's MO. (I'm not saying Yang's comment is a cop out, it had more weight to it than a simple physical compliment, and could write a whole thing on this as well, just that Blake making a comment on Yang's physical beauty wouldn't have had the same impact)
As for Yang's part of it... yes, I agree with you there anon. There is so much to unpack in this one episode, I could write 5 full on essays about it. The points Yang mentioned are so, so important.
The first thing she says is she likes how Blake has never been intimidated by her. When Blake had every right to be. When Yang did in some ways remind her of Adam. And I think Yang only came to appreciate Blake's trust in her after meeting Adam and standing with Blake against him. She realized how intimidating Adam was, how strong Blake had to be to run from him, stand up to him, and trust anyone after what he put her through, especially humans who she innately mistrusted, especially a human who's charisma and power/semblance reminded her of Adam. But Blake isn't intimidated by Yang, even in the ways others tend to be.
Then the "you never give up on them, even when they hurt you. You never give up. You know what matters to you." This is a whole pile of emotions to unpack.
Where the first confession was a comment on Blake's ability to trust Yang, this has more depth emotionally for Yang. "You never give up on them." It's both a reassurance that even though others have left and given up on Yang, Blake hasn't. She might have left after Beacon... but she came back and even though things were awkward and rocky between them, she stayed. She worked on it. She didn't give up. Because Blake knows what things matter to her enough to not give up on, and Yang is one of those things. And it means the world to Yang to understand that.
But it's also a reflection of who Yang is as well. It's a similarity they both share. Being there for those that matter to you. Not giving up just because things are difficult. Those are some of Yang's own core beliefs. They may have developed them in differing world views, but at their core, they are the same. And for someone like Yang, who gives her all, gives up everything for everyone else, finding someone that would do the same for the ones they both love, and for her...
Blake is someone she can share that burden with now, and Yang's never felt she could trust anyone else with that before.
So yeah, definitely there is so much to unpack in their confessions and I literally could write so much more on this because these characters are so complex at this point that I don't think any of us could fully do them justice at this point. I could expand on what you said about Yang being so gentle with Blake or how she always gives Blake a voice where Adam never allowed that from her... but I think you said it well. :)

i am SOOO excited to see beonhwa finally open and can't wait to write with everyone here and see muse development! i am here to introduce my toll and veryyy internally conflicted and overwhelmed muse YI YEONSU the recently returned heir apparent of house gladiolus. i've editted this part like three times now - barely have any pages set up but pulled this plot page together last minute for something at the least!
bec i have nothing else to offer but extreme volume (LOUD) please feel free to take a dive into my best attempt at yeonsu's tldr bec i literally wrote an entire essay for my app and still feel sorry for that hhhh,, (to save u time if u read his app this is basically that cut in half so u can skip to the bottom OR vice versa if you didnt want to read his app bec it was so fking long u can read his intro!)

heir apparent of house gladiolus
twenty-seven old man (weeping for older fcs)
was born to the yi family of gladiolus
as a young child growing up, yeonsu was very naturally talented at everything he learned and picked up from academics to physical training! he also had great relations with his parents and grandparents
wasn't exactly doted on but was regarded with as much respect as the growing heir apparent could get so that he would understand his role from a young age versus being treated as a usual child would be
at 12, yeonsu was kidnapped during a large town celebration hosted by the villagers after the house of gladiolus supported them against an issue with the nobility. it was clear that families of the nobility were behind the kidnapping however there wasn't any concrete evidence to pinpoint which families were responsible for hiring kidnappers
a ransom was demanded for yeonsu's life along with certain demands to accommodate the nobility. however, the yi family came to odds against each other between deciding how to save yeonsu and what was the right thing to do for the people as a whole
during this time, yeonsu was able to escape from his kidnappers after finding a moment of opportunity. he was chased to a town far from beonhwa where he found refuge within a poor town - collapsing in front of a small farmer family that took him in.
yeonsu's escape was kept secret from the yi family as the kidnappers continued to hunt him down. he was only able to survive after being hidden in a home full of sick villagers where he then fell ill with pneumonia from being exposed to the sick along with all the distress his body and mind were under.
eventually, the kidnappers stopped looking for yeonsu and it was reported to the yi family that yeonsu was killed due to their inability to pay the ransom or accommodate the nobles.
for his safety, his adoptive mother encouraged yeonsu to assume a new identity as one of their children until someone from his family came to retrieve him - unaware of his true background. from a poor farming family in a town barely able to sustain itself, there was no one that would be able to truly protect yeonsu or provide him safe passage back to beonhwa.
thus, yeonsu became chae dohwan. as the years passed by with no one from the yi family ever coming to search for yeonsu, he slowly let go of the hope that he would ever be found and truly began assimilating into his life as dohwan.
after 15 years, yeonsu was finally pulled back to his past and true identity when his true birth mother suddenly showed up after hearing about yeonsu through many attempts of contact from his adoptive mother.
with his true identity confirmed and restored, yeonsu was immediately whisked back to beonhwa to return to his rightful place as the heir apparent of the gladiolus house.
personality
yeonsu is going through A LOT of internal conflict and strife!! it's only been about three months since he's returned. short enough of a time to still feel out of place, but long enough to have a routine established.
kind of feels like impostor syndrome but? he's the real deal hello! how do you deal with that?! aka he's feeling suffocated on top of all the other negative feelings!
he's in an odd place of reassimilating into the lifestyle of those in beonhwa
for one, he misses his family dearly and is struggling with trying to reconnect with his original family after finding out the truth all these years that they had believed he was dead this entire time
from the fifteen years he's lived as a poor farmer, there are a lot of things about politics, luxury, power, and the people of beonhwa that yeonsu is having a hard time accepting with ease
but wait! underneath all the commotion dotion yeonsu is actually a heckin great guy! smart, strong, talented! and super control of his emotions actually which is why he hasn't lashed out or anything. he just needs to catch a break!

yeonsu heard muse talking shit and now he’s avoiding them. but the thing is, he doesn’t have context! muse isn’t a bad person! OR maybe yeonsu did have context and he honest to god just doesn’t want to get involved with whatever is happening !
a huge feast is being held at the house of gladiolus officially celebrating yeonsu’s return. it’s too much though and yeonsu wishes he was anywhere but there. while muse sneaks around the estate to secretly find a quite place, yeonsu follows to join them.
muse doesn’t know that know or realize that yeonsu is the newly returned heir apparent of the gladiolus house. they catch him on the street interacting with non-nobles and start treating him like one of them !

[ claimed ] in a field near the outskirts of beonhwa, yeonsu has found a moment to escape. muse comes across yeonsu by chance - hidden by the thick grassy field, and lays down to join him.
