i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.

#i often wonder about how many things would be considered classic or high art had they only received the marketing #how many short films that were made for class could have been the most powerful thing you'd ever seen? if you'd seen them?#“you know the greatest films of all time were never made” etc etc #but like. these works of art ARE being made. it's just enjoyed by a smaller audience with equal impact though #i think about this one furry i used to follow on insta who had the coolest worldbuilding ever. it's been years.#thought prompted by that sketch of nimona from ten years ago that was just for a character design #posted to the creator's tumblr and now it's nominated for best animated feature film at the oscars #and by the genuine emotional reaction a fan comic made me feel. how much work had gone into it. how beautiful it was to me.#idk what to tag this but i hope whoever needs to hear it does #writing #writer #fandom #fandom culture #artist

I remember discussing Tintin casting choices with a friend from Germany and remarked how it was odd he often has an English accent in adaptations rather than a Belgian one, and my friend just replied "that's because Tintin gives incredibly strong English boy energy (derogatory)"

Here in the UK there's a lot of weird classism tied into accents. Today accent diversity and representation in broadcasting is actively pursued but in Tintin's time there certainly was a preferred accent to have.

#and the moment when he is ‘unmasked’ so to speak #is the moment where Celia understands the depths of his regard for her #it’s like - you know how all those acts of service are a representation of how well he understands her and her needs?#josh literally at one point says ‘i think I’m aware of just about everything with you’#but it’s not reciprocated #Celia doesn’t GET Josh for a very long time #Josh notes this too ‘maybe you don’t know me that well if that’s what you think of me’#it’s a source of frustration and hurt for him #but part of the reason she doesn’t see him is he’s been actively hiding himself #and in the act of being at his most vulnerable - in baring his heart to her - she finally understands him #and this moment of understating is exactly equivalent to her realizing she loves him #love and understanding are one and the same for them #she sees him and immediately goes ‘oh. it’s was never going to be anyone else’#how wonderful is that?#how heartbreaking must it be to know it could have happened sooner had he not been so scared of breaking his manly mask #the dream as a metaphor for Josh’s repression but also the dream as a metaphor for the barriers between them #celias journey #fumbles #josh rumbles

Now? Now he is in Superman's arms, very much alive after being hit by a stray beam from Lex Luthors newest invention, quite literally hit from the sky when he didn't expect it and out of f reflex turned back human.

"I'm... alive?" He jokes weakly, smiling awkwardly at Superman's stare.

Danny considered this awkward.

Clark was processing the fact Lex Luthor somehow managed to bring back someone from death, his hands now full of said miracle and—

I love how whenever ATLA recognizes Sokka is smart enough to solve a problem but it’d be too fast they just stick him in some kind of situation. Like he COULD’VE stopped jet from drowning a town so they tied him up and dumped him in a forest. He COULD’VE figured out what that spirits deal was so they lost him in the spirit world for 24 hours.
