lemonade mouth/band au! more notes under the cut
lemonade as in like the disney movie! so there are a couple like clear comparisons but mostly it's the bad kids get stuck in detention together except they form a band instead of an adventuring party
fabian > no equivalent (olivia vibes)
the most popular kid at school who is both in dance and on the football team. somehow gets decent grades as well. no close friends, but a lot of people who know him and want to get on his good side. kind of depressed, and his dad's currently in prison. he started playing the guitar as a way to show off and then genuinely started enjoying it
adaine > mo
she's a concert violist (playing the viola) always an accompaniment for her sister and is striking it out on her own for the first time. her family is very upset about this, and consistently puts her down so she'll go along with they want her to do. also she recently transitioned to going to public school for the first time, making her the new girl.
kristen > no equivalent
she's recently ex mormon, got out of her parents house (currently living in her car) and without all of her former friends stuck in a student president position that she got when she was still with the religion. questioning her sexuality after one too many encounters with the soccer team captain, tracker. used to be on the church choir, was a bit too enthusiastic about it.
gorgug > no equivalent (charlie vibes)
he's got like one or two kinda friends (mainly fig). extremely busy with his classes and with marching band and self isolating as a result. he's stressed out about living up to his parent's name (they run a very successful electric engineering company). signed up to work as a sound tech for the theatre department bc one of the female stage managers is very cute (zelda) and then discovered that he rlly like it.
riz > no equivalent
no friends! (other than maybe the AV club + penny) too used to burying himself in work at both his part time gig and with his insane amount of extracurriculars. started playing the piano bc he heard it helps with memory retention and overall cognitive ability.
fig > stella/wen
she's the cool loner skater kid who is the floater friend mostly? she's got a maybe relationship with ayda, who she loves to annoy at the school library. very interested in making her own music not very interested in school. freaking out over her parents getting remarried. her mom enrolled her in music lessons when she was younger, and it's one of the only things she can talk about with her mom these days.

Celeb!Gojo x POC Reader
Satoru doesn't pay much attention to the things people say about him on social media. Not until they get his girlfriend involved.
a/n: celeb gojo prolly dont even manage his own account ughhh
(POC Reader!, suggestive dialogue, pet names {princess, love, babe, etc}, m4f)
Tumblr media
You yawn, turning over to the empty spot beside you in the bed. Per usual, Satoru was making phone calls. He called his manager about his next events and interviews, simultaneously fighting allegations on twitter and instagram.
“Cancel the party for- What do you mean I’m trending? Excuse me?”
He frantically paced the halls, shouting yet still whispering so he wouldn’t wake his love. You heard the muffled rambling of his manager on the other line.
“It’s all about you and miss [F/N]. They have an image of you two entering coachella.” Satoru sighs at the clarification as he wraps up the conversation, eager to get back to you. He lets his head hang while his hands are on his hips. He couldn’t think of what to do.
It isn’t like he doesn’t want the world to know about you, he just doesn’t want you to receive any of the hate he gets on social media, especially by crazed fans who get upset at the thought of him with someone. You knew all this and still decided to fall in love with a celebrity.
I mean, who could blame you? He’s hot!
He paced more until he caught a glimpse of you sitting up from your shared bed. He stops abruptly and takes lazy steps towards you with a small frown.
“Morning, princess. Did y’sleep well?” He mumbles against your neck, peppering it with kisses and easing back into bed with you.
You rubs your eyes with a nod, leaning into his touch. His hands were soft, but cold against your skin. You yawn before stretching and putting your weight on him as you tilt against his chest.
“Ya haven’t slept that long since I fucked you to sleep-” His comment was cut off with a harsh smack in the face with his own pillow. “Ouch, babe. Love you, too.”
“Maybe don’t say things like that in my first ten minutes of consciousness.” You pout.
He gently tackles you to lie back down as he passes you your phone, watching you scroll on social media. You come across a fan edit of him before huffing and scrolling onto the next post.
Satoru reaches his hand out to scroll back up to the edit of himself. “What’s this? You make this or somethin’?”
You sigh before denying his inquiry, “No, Satoru, it’s an edit from one of your many fans.”
“Go to the comments, what are they saying?” He smiles, eager to receive the praise he gets on the daily from a bunch of strangers online.
You tap the comment section to open the pop-up and start to scroll through. He squints to read them and is taken aback by a few things.
“No lube, no… What the fuck? We aren’t stopping until- hold on, who is we?” Satoru gasps at the replies to a simple video of flashing lights and transitioning video clips of him. Is this really all it took to be talked about like a pornstar? He wasn’t sure how to feel.
A particular comment catches his eye.
‘guys chill yk he got a girl now’
‘when?!?! omg link??’
‘js search “satoru gojo girlfriend coachella” on youtube’
“Oh, way to keep a secret, Gojo is my idol underscore fifteen!” Satoru groans.
You continue scrolling through the replies which, to your surprise, are becoming less about your boyfriend and targeted towards you. And not in a good way.
Insult after slur and slur after insult, they were just going in on you.
‘that *** can khs, he dont deserve that thing’
‘Shes not even attractive bye’
You felt tears start to swell in your eyes, blinking them away as Satoru scanned the screen for some kind of joke. He frowned and stood up, dialing his manager again.
They exchange a few inaudible words from the other side of the bedroom door before he returns to your company and smiles widely.
“What’re you up to, Satoru?”
He doesn't reply, but instead sends you a tweet he made a moment ago.
Tumblr media
He continues to grin as he sees your mood improve a bit, pulling you in closer. “Don’t worry about them. They’re jus’ mad cuz they probably don’t have the exotic gorgeousness you possess, baby.”
You smile but cringe a bit internally, “Never say exotic again.”

(Small warning for swearing and genocide mentions)
Today in my history class I learned that some reservations JUST got electricity. >:/
How I love being American.
Seriously though, it shouldn't have taken that long.
This is just another reminder of the effects of colonization (AKA mass genocide).
"America is the land of the free!"
Land of the free my ass.
If it's truly the "land of the free", how come the Indigenous Americans are still being discriminated against? Not just Indigenous Americans, but also Muslims, LGBTQIA2S+, Neurodivergents, Blacks, Asians, Hispanics, and many more. Hell some people are even being full on ATTACKED for siding with Palestine. Not to mention the book bans happening. AND ALSO PEOPLE GET HARASSED FOR HOBBIES (Example: Furries) AND SPIRITUAL BELIEFS (Example: Therians)!
Last time I checked, we had rights to identity and freedom, so why is that being taken away from us?
Which brings me to this point:
We are not free until all of us are free.
Thank you for reading my Rian Rant, hope y'all have a great rest of your day/night. <3

Just wanted to say I appreciate your take on the whole white man/woc imbalanced power plot issue. This is something that I had a big problem with in season 4 and others definitely seemed to pick up on the same when all the storylines were Wesley, Nolan or Tim centric, and Nyla, Angela and Lucy were seemingly left as the 'other'. However I feel like I saw the issue be forgotten in the fandom a little. It seems this show has consistently favoured highlighting the male struggle and treating female storylines as trivial and unworthy, other than that of Bailey, the then newly introduced and now main cast white female character. I thought this would change with Lucy's story now being written consistently in s6 but it's clear that Tim's potentially the more favourable storyline. Now I can't speak from a psychological standpoint on what Tim did to Lucy but from a plot pov it's definitely making the white man vs woc power issue glaringly obvious. He is the one that gets to start or end their relationship. He's the white man with issues that is allowed to feel what he wants and grow his character while the asian woman is left behind despite her own depth and trauma. Let's hope that Lucy is given the same grace of dealing with her issues and growing as Tim, and Lucy gets her power back.
Hi Anon!
Thank you for your kind and thoughtful message. And thanks for patiently waiting for my response. I agree with everything you said. I believe the post you’re referring to is this one and possibly this one too.
It’s clear that the show has favored male storylines, particularly those of Wesley, Nolan, and Tim (and Bailey a non-WOC), while sidelining WOC ones. And even though the focus here is on Lucy and Chenford, I’m equally happy and willing to talk about race through the POVs of Angela/Wopez and Nyla/Jayla too.
I don’t think the actual act of Tim breaking up with Lucy has a racial dynamic to it other than the obvious. Them being of different races is just who they are. But their overall relationship (TO/Rookie, mentor/mentee, sergeant/gofer, friends, couple, etc.) does. And Melissa, bless her heart (affectionate), codes so heavily as Chinese in her mannerisms too and this gets projected onto Lucy. But that’s not talked about very often either. I say all of this to agree with you, Anon, because the “white man vs woc power issue” as you described has existed the whole time.
Let’s look at S5b and S6. A WOC masterminded the career progressions of at least two middle aged white men. One of them derailed her career progression. The other one broke up with her. Both broke her heart in very different ways. We did get some of Lucy’s character development and growth in S6 on the front end of the season. But even within that, her storyline has been about the 5 player trade (made to benefit Tim primarily) and Tim not being comfortable with her in UC. Tim gets demoted but he has a cushion to fall on because Lucy trampolined him into the Metro clouds and now the show’s able to use what Lucy did to benefit Tim again and use that to give him room to fall back on. This is part of the whole ‘using a WOC as a plot device to further a white man’s story’ which I’ve shared about in regards to the breakup (which is different than the act of breaking up) and you've detailed out too. We’ll see what happens to her story in the next few episodes, and I too hope that Lucy is given the same grace and that she does get her power back. But no matter what happens in future episodes, that trope was used so the genie’s already out of the bottle.
You did bring up the fandom, so I am going to talk about it a little more. This next part may be hard to hear, Anon, but … I have received negativity from Chenford fans for talking about Lucy and Melissa O’Neil’s race. This shows me that this topic is so worth talking about because there are people who feel a certain way about seeing race-related discussions about Lucy (they don’t want to be anywhere near it) and I do believe it’s unhealthy for the fandom to have these beliefs about a WOC. Others in the fandom have also encountered negativity and pushback when discussing this topic. Maybe it's even happened to you. People have shared their fandom experiences with me privately, but you’re the first to do it Anonymously which is great because that means you’ve given me the opportunity to respond to you publicly.
Challenging this negatively held belief within our fandom and embracing Lucy/Mel’s racial and cultural identity is a worthy endeavor so let’s move the dial on that. It starts with talking about these topics in the context of The Rookieverse and keeping an open mind if these topics are unfamiliar to us. I mean, Mel wants more of that too.
Thanks again, Anon!

Jason todd x teen reader
~ You’re the product of a former one-night stand Jason had as a teenager.
~ Jason didn't know he had a kid until he got a call from bruce saying, Commissioner Gordon need him down at the station. He didn't know what he was expecting but having a kid, wasn't it. He was informed that your mother had passed and you would now be put in his care.
~ Jason had no clue how to take care of a kid so the first place you went after being released into his custody was Wayne Manor. You were greeted with a warm welcome by both Alfred and Bruce. You roamed around the house as Jason, Alfred, and Bruce were talking when you ran into Tim.
~ Tim was already sleep-deprived running on 1 hour of sleep and 4 cups of coffee was oh so very confused hearing that JASON TODD had a daughter. I mean how could this be he’s never heard of you. Eventually, you got tired of him asking the same question trying to comprehend what he heard, and walked off. Where you ran into Dick.
~ Who was also confused but slightly less. You explained the situation once again. He tried comforting you with the loss of your mother knowing what it's like but you brushed it off. He offered to take you to the kitchen to get food which you didn't decline. neither would I. You guys make random small talk until Jason's voice could be heard echoing through the manor yelling your name you follow the noise meeting him. “There you are come on where leaving,” he said in an uncertain gentle but stern voice.
~ He took you shopping to get all the necessary things. yes, he used bruce's card but in his defense, he gave it to him to use on you. He took you to get new clothes, shoes, a phone, and anything you asked for.
~ He struggles with discipline because you obviously just met him and he doesn't want to seem like the asshole. That is until you put yourself in a dangerous position like drinking, or smoking at a party. You guys have a nice heart-to-heart convo and told you if your gonna do stuff like that at least do it when he is there cuz it's better to have supervision and guidance than be on your own.
~ You guys definitely develop one of those close father-daughter relationships. You can talk to each other about anything where you’re looking for advice or someone to listen to.
~ Your fav uncle is Dick and ur fav aunt is Kate there just superior. don't attack me love all the bat fam.
~ Like I said earlier he is kinda lenient you can curse around him and at other people just not him, you can have a S/O but don't think for one moment the entire bat fam won't interrogate them before and pray for them if they break your heart

Hi, nonnie! I'm glad you like my nonsense. I answered a similar ask here. I'm not a POC blog, but I do my best to make my readers as blank of a canvas as possible. You'll also never see a "reader" in my moodboards.
@the-soot-sprite has an Asian writer masterlist here.
@starynighty has a Black writer masterlist here.
@flordeamatista has a Latino-Hispanic writer masterlist here.
Amazing writers and creators on these lists. I hope you enjoy! Love and thanks. ❤️

Crying at the video of that dude going around asking poc and black folks if they could change their race, what would it be and every nb in that video we’re saying “white,” because of privilege with their whole chest, albeit, a little bit ashamed, while EVERY black person looked at the dude like he was crazy and was like “NO!? What the hell are you even talking about?” Like….. yeah, of course.

I have a headcanon that my courier is from a small Islamic town/community near shady sands. I'm not sure whether the ncr would consider them tribals, bc they have a distinct culture outside of that of the mainstream ncr citizens, but they aren't indigenous (iirc the great khans are similar, bc they came from vault dwellers, and I doubt the vault dwellers in question were actually turkic or mongolian given how small that diaspora is). Do you have any thoughts on what a tribal actually is or means in postwar america?
Canonically, Shady Sands was founded by one group of former inhabitants of Vault 15, and other groups from the vault became the Khans, Jackals, and Vipers.
As far as how the label "tribal" is applied in canon, it's not incredibly clear. When Caesar, House, or the NCR speak of "tribals" it's often perjorative, referring to groups they deem uncivilized; more broadly, it's frequently used to refer to any distinct cultural group that lacks formal government and is self-sufficient.
Anthropologically speaking, a tribe is a group linked by social, economic, religious, or blood ties, with a common culture and dialect—which covers a range of post-war societies and could very well encompass the society you described. Of course, there are still certain connotations associated with the terms (especially "tribal") both irl and in the game that you may want to avoid, especially if you're incorporating Islam and potentially MENA/MENASA diaspora.
I don't mean to suggest you wouldn't do your due diligence, and you've obviously given this a lot of thought, but since we're talking about how it relates to canon and the precedents Fallout sets wrt its fictional tribes range from thoughtless to abhorrent, you may prefer to refer to your society by a different term than to adopt the baggage that canon has attached to tribe.
Josh Sawyer has explained that, in Honest Hearts at least, the tribes were meant to be made up of descendents of diverse ethnic backgrounds, and I imagine that was likely the intent in the other games. However (and to his credit, JS owns up to this in the linked post), the end result still played into a lot of Western stereotypes of Indigenous Peoples, particularly Indigenous Peoples of North America.
Of course the problems didn't begin or end with Honest Hearts—from New Vegas' Blackfoots of Arizona (not to be confused with the irl Blackfoot Nation, whose traditional lands comprise what is now Alberta, Canada, and Montana, U.S.) to the Whachutu tribals of Peoria (from Fallout Tactics), whose name is a reference to the fictional African tribe called the Wachootoo from Ace Ventura, there are a ton of examples of how not to handle a topic like this in a culturally sensitive/respectful way.
I'm glad that the dev team at Obsidian is taking criticism of these depictions to heart and involving more sensitivity readers, but unfortunately there's a lot of shit baked into the Fallout canon that anyone making derivative works has to navigate with extreme care.
(Also, I'd love to hear more about your courier and their community!)

This Easter and TDOV really just showed that people have a lot of shit to say but don't know what the everloving fuck they're talking about.
"Why do Trans people need a day you have a whole month already???" Trans Visibility Day is for Trans people, Pride month is for all Queer people. It's different. But also there are other national months that have a dedicated day in a different month.
Easter is a different day every year and sometimes it's going to land on a day that already has a holiday/nationally recognized day. You gonna be mad at stoners next year for daring to have a smoke with jesus?
Why do you think February is Black History Month? Or why May is AAPI month? Or why June is Pride month?
Do people think that national months happen by closing our eyes and pointing at a calendar? Do you think we just picked a month at random and claimed it ours? Significant moments and events in history happened during those months. And it often took years for those months to be nationally recognized. History is actually so fun to learn about please read something I'm begging.
• And if you're outside of the U.S and you have different national months/holidays please let me know I'd love to read about it!
(Also I only used History.com and one AmericanBar articles because other links weren't working but I encourage you to do research from other sources as well as read the articles I linked.)
In February Black History Month was Black History week for decades:
In March Women's History Month started as Women's History Week:
April is Arab American Heritage Month:
May is Asian American & Pacific Islander Month:
June is Pride Month:
Juneteenth:
July is Disability Pride Month:
September 15 to October 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month:
Indigenous Peoples' Day is the second Monday in October, and November is Native American Heritage Month:
