The Cordial Cardinal - Archibald Phim
A lovely, commissioned character sheet for @fashionablyfyrdraaca! Archibald is a fine Fallen London gentleman who was a Catholic Cardinal before London fell. Peter Cushing is his faceclaim and it was a lot of fun to imagine his Neathly appearances!
(I am open for character sheet and other illustrative commissions, more info here!)

I know this is almost certainly a stretch, but I was wondering if you know what these are:
They're made of mother-of-pearl with turquoise topped screws on each end. Similar ones I've found on Etsy/eBay claim they're collar stays but I can't for the life of me figure out how they're meant to be worn, the screws aren't pointed enough to go through fabric. I was gifted them for my birthday so all I know is they're from an antique shop
Neat! I've never seen things like that before!
I do know that little pieces of metal were sometimes used to keep the collars of those lacy Edwardian blouses and dresses standing straight up (someone gave me an antique one once that has that) but I'd not heard of pearl ones.
Maybe the screws go through the eyelet holes in the lace or something? Hopefully someone who knows more will see this post.
