Incorrect Quotes Tag!

I was kindly tagged by @rickie-the-storyteller for this one! You can find their post here.

And here is the link to the actual Incorrect Quotes Generator.

(The rules of the tag game involve using the generator to create incorrect quotes of your OCs)

For this one, I will be using characters from The Last Wrath (I might tweak, add to or adapt some of the quotes slightly but most of them will be untouched)

Brace yourselves, cause this one is about to get very long - because I have a big character cast and love chaos. (:

THE LAST WRATH -

NYX: You’re both.

SEIRA (after Peregrine accepts the Bloodbind Ritual on himself and fails to realize why she is so upset at him): What, I can’t be in a bad mood? It’s like people think, “Oh, Seira: is such a nice person, Seira is so happy-go-lucky! Seira can’t be in a bad mood!” Well, you know what? Seira CAN be in a bad mood. And right now, Seira IS in a bad mood.

THE HIDDEN ROOM IN THE SORCERER’S TOWER: I give you a cursed amulet!

HELIOS : Cool! It’ll make me look cute, and the shadow that follows me will make me more active, I’ll get out more!

DARIAN (while being hunted down across the continent by an Empire and a horde of assassins) : Well, well, well, if it isn’t the consequences of my actions.

MORWAN (already five cups of wine in, still not drunk): You treat an outside wound with rubbing alcohol. You treat an inside wound with drinking alcohol.

YUNA (chugging a bottle of rum across the table): Honestly, same.

NADINNE (daintily sipping a cup of tea): Should I... be concerned?

MORWAN: Maybe, babe

CASSANDER: I was born for politics. I have great hair and I love lying.

EMRYC: I just learned a way to get stuff on the cheap. Steal it!

ANSELL (nearly in tears, chasing down Emryc): It’s the third time this week - put that thing back where it came from!

NETHEN (at some point after his father allowed the Emperor to execute Elain): Helpful grammar tip: “farther” is for physical distance, “further” is for methaphorical distance, and “father” is for emotional distance, and emotional damage!

JULYAN: I only have two emotions: exhaustion and stress. And I’m somehow always feeling both simultaneously.

BRYN at the slightest provocation: I came into this earth screaming and covered in someone else's blood and and I'm not afraid to leave the same way.

ANSELL and The Squad (deeply concerned, turning to Ellinor and Nethen): Are you still sure this is the right guy for the job?

ELLINOR with a proud smile: Yep, that’s the one!

NETHEN: *looking straight at Bryn* I’m pretty sure that guy is clinically insane... Imma be his best friend!

AZRA (at 3AM): I’m gonna mix a can of Red Bull with seventeen shots of espresso in a fishbowl and then chug it while Kids by MGMT plays in the background so I can perceive twenty-three spatial dimensions and fight my own soul.

RAELEN (with a feral grin and sleep deprived eyes): DO IT

NYX (awakened and confused): Please don’t.

KADEN AND SYBIL: *already chugging down a fishbowl with that precise mix in the background*

JULYAN (torn between pride and deep concern as he stares straight at Raelen and Azra): *quietly* I raised these kids

JAMIE: Sometimes, I don’t realize an event was traumatic until I tell it as a funny story and notice everyone is staring at me weird.

BRYN: I scare people a lot because I walk very softly and they don't hear me enter rooms. So when they turn around, I'm just kind of there and their fear fuels me.

(In the background, as Bryn has just popped out of thin air and spoke without prompting, Ansell’s soul has yet to return to his body.)

ISOLDE (being physically held back by Arammis): I have yet to encounter a problem where a sword didn't factor into the solution at least in some way.

PEREGRINE: *nods in agreement to her statement*

DARIAN: I've got a weapon, and I'm... admittedly VERY afraid to use it!

TRYSTAN (Peregrine’s mentor and brother-figure, has been rambling on about this for more than an hour) - I’m sick and tired of being called 'mortal' like, you don’t know that. Neither do I. I have never died even ONCE. Nothing has been proven yet. Stop making assumptions. It’s rude.

Imperial Guards that have him Imprisoned: PLEASE SHUT UP

ZEPHYR (Age 14, fresh out of the destruction of Eldon and deeply cursed): I am very small and I have no money, so you can imagine the kind of stress that I'm under.

BRYN, TANWIN AND ORYON (collectively): Dear Diary, my teen angst bullshit has a body count

JULYAN, an antisocial fire mage: Do not come over to my house. If the house is on fire you may knock once, if I don’t answer assume I set the fire and I want to burn to death.

Also Julyan, an antisocial fire mage: *sets himself on fire and screams in agony, only to start laughing uncontrollably* Nah, I’m just kidding. Fire does nothing to me.

(In response to that) Oryon, running on 2 hours of sleep, having to deal with being this dumbass’ healer 24/7 in an enemy dungeon: If you do that again, I will personally yeet myself out of the tallest window I can find. No, as a matter of fact, I will yeet both of us out of a window. TRY ME.

ZEPHYR (in his time searching for an anti-magic spell in the Liranthian Academies): Sometimes I wonder if I’m hearing voices. Then I remember that’s the last bit of sanity I have trying to get me to fall asleep at a reasonable time.

LUCIYA (yelling at Willen/Raven): Of course I have a lot of pent-up rage, you fool! I've been the same height since I was twelve! We grew up together, how could you not know this -

AZRA, about the feral dragon that has decided to adopt him: I can't believe there's a dragon somewhere in my house. Amazing feeling. Love dragons. And she's here, in my house! Somewhere! And I may encounter her! What a treat.

ORYON (after befriending Julyan and Nesryn) - I have met some of the most insufferable people! *stops to think, suddenly concerned* But they also met me -

MYRAH, at the slightest of inconveniences - I'm a nice person, but I'm about to start throwing rocks at people.

ARAMMIS, done with the bullshit she witnesses on a daily basis at the royal court of Faravvia: I think I mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks apart.

ZEPHYR, in the middle of the night, unprompted: I have one foot in the grave but in a kind of fun flirty way, the way one might slip on a fishnet stocking.

INNARA, writing in her diary with a glitter pen: I'm losing my sense of humanity. Nothing matters. God is dead. There's blood on my hands.

(In the background) JAMIE: *sobs* STOP TALKING AT 2 AM AND LET ME SLEEP, FOR FUCKS SAKE -

TRYSTAN (right after Peregrine screws up majorly and almost gets himself killed): My expectations were low, but I guess they can always go lower.

NYX: My ultimate goal is to punch the Emperor in the eye, just to spite him one last time.

SYBIL: Isn’t our mere existence enough to do that?

KADEN: Nah. It isn’t petty enough.

NYX, proud: That’s what I’m talking about!

AZRA: We’re all gonna die, aren’t we?

RAELEN: Yep, but it will be glorious.

CIRIEN: The next time I open up to someone, I’ll die and it'll be my autopsy.

BRYN, panicking: Please don’t.

I have no idea if I mentioned this over here (I def know I mentioned it on Twitter) and many people have already picked up on the vibes but Bitterbat is def a diet yandere OC.

I say diet yandere because he doesn't do any of the hella extreme stuff nor would he ever harm Sweetheart and their friends (He might scare the shit out of them if they legit harm Sweetheart but murder is out of the question) but everyone outside of the immediate circle are just

potential obstacles.

He only has his sights on Sweetheart and her happiness and if anyone comes in the way of her being happy, whether with him or with life in general, he will see to it that they are disposed of.

Of course, he did promise Sweetheart that he wouldn't kill any innocent people.

But he doesn't have to touch someone to scar them. He's literally a monster and is well versed in what humans fear the most.

And depending on if whoever he is dealing with is another hero or a villain, he'd def raise the ante and resort to actual physical harm. Then it's easier for the public to think it's a just hero versus villain situation like all the others.

"A hero bit off more than they could chew."

"This is why he should be left to Sweetheart, she knows how to deal with him."

And if Bitterbat is dealing with another villain

"It's just some territory disputes."

"Better they attack each other and not us."

I know people are probably wondering "Well how would Bitterbat respond if Sweetheart broke up with him" or something to that and tbh...nothing really unique. We've seen a buncha stories where the obsessive party doesn't get the girl and we know how it ends up. Highkey not fun for me to write just because there's no pizzazz in it for me and this entire story is basically me answering the question "What if the villain did get the girl" but more rocky flavored.

That's why it's a fun twist to have Sweetheart somewhat find his more monstrous behavior endearing. She doesn't actively demand he does things for her but she can't help but feel touched that he resorts to such lengths just for her.

Sweetheart herself isn't the perfect clean hero people or even I make her out to be. She's been through a lot both physically, emotionally, and mentally. She knows she shouldn't be encouraging his behavior by her visible signs of being flustered when he comes back from dealing with someone who bugged her.

She knows she shouldn't be watching the news as it films live footage of him absolutely destroying some hot shot and rooting for Bitterbat to beat their ass and think Bitterbat wiping the smug grin off a cocky hero's face and replacing it with pure horror is hot.

And she knows much better than to listen to that little voice in the back of her head that only pipes up when she is having a tough time being a hero in the city, with all the rankings, infighting, nonstop publicity stunts, rumors, and the constant shifting in regulations for heroics. That voice that sounds just like her that grows louder with each little hoop she has to jump through to keep everyone happy.

That voice that tells her "It would be so nice for Bitterbat to erase this city from the map"

Because she knows that Bitterbat knows how she feels about his behavior. They're suit mate's after all. So he knows when she thinks these thoughts, whether she's in a meeting, or right next to him on the couch, or even just watching him in battle through a tv screen.

He may act like he doesn't know but when he steals a glance from her with pupils void of violet and are just a haunting gold and a wide crooked smile creeps onto his face because of the images flashing in her mind, he is more than willing to do whatever it takes to keep his future queen happy.

Mistletoe Headcanons

So all the boys except Siver and Sebek are in here. I wanted to post them last night but my power went out. Merry Christmas! I hope you enjoy!

Warnings: fluff, kissing, possibly oc characters

Heartslabyul:

Not sure how to react

On one hand he would like to take the head of whoever put it up

On the other hand he has to follow the rules and the rules with mistletoe are that you have to kiss who you meet underneath the hanging kiss trap

Oh look you’re the one he has to kiss

He’s gone beet red by now

Steel’s himself and shuts his eyes

The kiss is quick and somewhat off since he couldn’t see what he was doing

“Ahem, excuse me”

Your shocked as Riddle runs into the next room

Trey Clover:

Somewhat annoyed by the mistletoe

But only because he knows he’s gonna have to deal with Riddle later when the dorm head finds out

What he isn’t annoyed by is your cute, stunned face staring up at it

Taking his chance he moves in and pecks you gently on the lips

Your shocked gaze meets his and he smiles before moving around you

Wait. What just happened?

Cater Diamond:

Don’t tell Riddle but he knew the mistletoe was going to be there

Tells you he wants to take a selfie with you in this doorway because it has ‘good lighting’

“Oh look mistletoe. You know what that means.”

Steals a kiss before you can even react

He pulls back with a wink

“If you wanna take another selfie here later let me know.”

Ace Trapolla:

Highkey he’s the one that put it there

Literally only thought that other people were gonna get caught

Spends quite a bit of time lingering near the doorway and laughing into his cup when people realize what they walked into

It’s not until you’ve attempted to drag him to the other room through the doorway that he realize that he’s screwed

Cater sneakily points it out to you

You grab him excitedly and kiss him on the lips

“Oh...ok. Thanks”

Walks away stunned and redder than Riddle’s hair

Deuce Spade:

Oh no

He forgot this was going to be here

The two of you have been standing in this doorway for about 3 minutes and you haven’t seemed to notice

Unfortunately he knows that he can’t walk away now that he’s been caught

Takes a deep breath and kisses you

Not understanding what happened you pull back shocked

“Oh my god I’m so sorry-”

You see the mistletoe and kiss him again

Smiling shyly you pull back and walk away

“Wow I kissed someone”

Realizing that you’re staring at it curiously he sighs and puts his fingers on the bridge of his nose

He growls and grabs your chin, tilting it towards him

He kisses you harshly and growls again in distaste that he had to be coerced into this by a damn plant

Pulling away he only takes a second to admire your flushed face and dazed look before grunting “African mistletoe” and stalking away

Pointedly ignores any stares he gets and growls under his breath

Would deny it to his death but he enjoyed the brief kiss

Would also deny that he wants to do it again

Ruggie Bucchi:

Snickers at the face you make when you realize you guys are underneath a mistletoe hanging

Greatly appreciates the blush that decorates your cheeks

He honestly doesn’t care all that much about the mistletoe

It’s just a kiss

He leans forward and pecks you on the lips before pulling back and snickering again

“You should see your face y/n”

Stunned you mumbled and walked away

He wished he had taken the chance to kiss you again

He’s pretty much in denial that mistletoe exists

You noticed that the two of you had crossed underneath it and pulled him back to the doorway

He’s in complete shock and his face makes you giggle

Unconsciously strikes up a conversation about it to prolong the inevitable

At some point you realize what he’s doing and reach to kiss him

You pull away and continue to talk about christmas traditions as if nothing happened

No there isn’t a blush on his face (he’s just developed a fever that’s all)

Also meant to get you underneath it with him

He takes a moment to watch you shift uneasily as he eyes you like you’re prey

Taller then you so he leans down and places a hand underneath your chin

When you think he’s going to deepen it he pulls back with a smile

“Darling if you wanted to kiss me you should have just said so. No need to use traditions as an excuse.”

Yes that was his way of flustering you further while also slyly mentioning that he didn’t just kiss you because of the mistletoe

He’s aware of it and makes a point not to get caught underneath it

He’s not a kisser

He’s a hugger

If he ever did meet someone under the mistletoe he would pretend to be oblivious to the proper tradition and squeeze them instead

With you however he is very excited to be caught

Picks you up with a squeal and squeezes you tightly

His inner sadist loves how you squirm and gasp for breath

Also loves the redness of your face when you see the mistletoe

Thinking he wasn’t going to kiss you, you brace yourself for a squeeze

He does squeeze you but he kisses you too

Also bites your cheek lightly

“There. Now everyone knows that Shrimpy is my mistletoe buddy, hehe”

Literally is obsessed with hugging his friends and it gives him an excellent excuse to do so

He just didn’t count on you being there

Of course he has to chase Kalim through one of the doorways

Flushes a deep red and has to take a moment to collect himself

Calmly he leans closer to you

Kisses passionately but also nervously

Beet red when he pulls back and hides his face with his hood for the rest of the night

Rook Hunt:

Due to his hunter instincts and excellent observation skills he knows where every piece of mistletoe is hung

Likely guided you right underneath it without your knowledge

If you’re extra careful about them then he might just shoot another one up

“Did you put that there?” “Shhh, ma chérie."

Will kiss your cheeks, nose, and lips in that order

Calls you beautiful and asks you to spend some more time with him

Highkey Rook is the only one at NRC that knows what he’s doing with the ladies

Epel Felmier:

Epel has literally never kissed anyone in his life

There are rarely any people his age in his hometown either so he has little experience with dating or even dealing with anyone he’s interested

Finding himself under mistletoe with anyone would be terrifying nonetheless you

You’re cute and sweet and kind and a lot of things

But most importantly you’re someone who he wants to kiss

Which means that you and him can not kiss under any circumstances

But here you are and here he is under the mistletoe

And know you have to kiss

The kiss was short and barely existent but it was sweet and when he pulled back his face was equal parts red and pale

So it’s super unlikely he’s gonna end up anywhere with an actual mistletoe

But Ortho dragged him out of his room so here he is

And now he’s under the mistletoe

He’s not cold like you thought he would be

He’s actually very hot

The kiss only lasts for a second because you were cut off by his hair turning red and flaming up

Ortho drags him back to his room where he resets enough to remember where he is

Once he figures out what happened he’s gonna flare up again

Poor Ortho has to spray the whole room with the fire extinguisher

Ortho Shroud (platonic):

Ortho is delighted at all the cool traditions and decorations that are strewn about the place

He spends Christmas with Idia of course but he finally managed to get him out of his room long enough to have a look around

There are some things that he doesn’t recognize like the dangling plant clippings that people are kissing under

When he finds himself under one with you he points to it and asks about it

You giggle and tell him before quickly kissing his cheek

The younger Shroud tells Idia afterwards and laughs at his older brother’s face

Idia is at least fond of your friendship with Ortho

He thinks it’s fine that you told him about mistletoe as long as Ortho remembers to avoid it at all costs for the rest of his active life

Diasomnia:

Has no clue what mistletoe is

“Child of man what is this thing here?”

You flush and start to stammer about mistletoe

Cue Lilia popping in with a thorough explanation about of how mistletoe works and pays special attention to the fact that Malleus has to kiss you

The vampiric man takes his leave and smirks knowingly when you glare daggers into his back

Malleus stays silent for a moment before leaning down and kissing you

He is a surprisingly good kisser and you are too shocked to do anything

“Well then, I hope that the tradition was to your liking child of man.”

Would never admit that he is blushing and walks away quickly

Oh Malleus the tradition was very much to your liking

Lilia Vanrouge:

This man has been waiting for you to show up

Highkey pops in just as you walk underneath the mistletoe

“Hello there”

Your mini heart attack means little to him as he giggles and points up

“Look mistletoe”

Then he kisses you

Experienced kisser and leaves you breathless

“We should do this again but right now I have to go deal with one of the, ahem, children” (Sebek)

Stunned you stand there for a moment before wondering what happened

“Um ok later then”

Yes he did here you and will take that as permission to kiss you again

Zaaki and Shaari look so pretty! :0 tell us about them!

OJGKJG WHERE DO I START

so , zaaki and shaari are twins born into the de Veloura household which is a powerful noble house filled with extremely talented mages and prodigies in the arcane. zaaki and shaari’s dad, saliya or sal comes from the far eastern cities where the cities and bazaars sparkle from dawn to midnight and the dancing and festivities never end.

sal was the younger of the three brothers and his oldest brother was to inherit the clanleader title after their mother’s death. he was an adventurous child and was born into a traditional and ritualistic clan of elemental weavers, most of them have various shades of red hair lol and he left the clan and his city to wander the country and the land beyond.

he travelled far west and across the large oceans to explore and learn and he met eleanor in the country of Fraerar, a daughter of the de Veloura house. they fell in love and soon got married, he marries into the household and the children eleanor bears would carry the family name.

eleanor however actually cannot conceive children but she always wanted to be a mother as her own maternal parent passed away when she was born. along with her strong maternal instincts, she creates a pact with a powerful demon she conjures. the deal was that half of her lifespan would be exchanged to bear children. soon after the deal was made, she fell pregnant and gave birth to twins. zaakias being older by a few minutes and shaari who was rather small at birth.

zaakias and shaaria de veloura grew up in a wealthy and powerful household, hence they had a good yet strict upbringing. their parents loved them and their mother hoped the children would both inherit the family’s magical prowess. shaari grows up with a natural talent of the arcane, wielding it at a very young age whereas for zaaki it was difficult for him to control and create even simple spells. growing up, they were very close to their older cousin elias would is 7 years older lol and he is an older sibling to them;; always helping with anything such as stealing from the kitchen, getting them out of trouble (its mostly zaaki) and teaching them with simple spells and practising swordplay.

as children of a prominent house, the children were taught swordplay and the arcane. zaaki was gifted in swordsmanship as he grew older felt more at home with the blade and in order to prove himself to the family he practised everyday to become stronger. shaari excelled at both swordplay and the arcane and frequently spars with her brother and older cousin.

growing older, shaari grows more and more distant from zaaki and at the age of 12, an incident killed both the twins parent and shaari was not to be seen. sajdaskdh im so bad with explaining this but i might explain in depth or smth later hhhhnn

zaaki was never quite the same after the incident and started to train harder than before. rumours spread that his sister was the one that killed their parents or that she had died but zaaki, never believed them and was strong in his beliefs that his sister was alive, somewhere.

he left home two years after, telling elias that he will find his sister and that he will bring her back home. elias was left to look after the house by himself as zaaki ventures out to find his twin.

shaari highkey has a resting bitch face, its not that shes rude or anything but she finds no reason into putting so much energy to things that are not very important. she can be quite arrogant and is an AVID DEBATER!!!!! she loves to prove her point and will. roast. ur. ass. off because she really does not give any fucks about u but does give a fuck about her being right. shes actually an extrovert but not those typical ones, shes quite good with crowds but its usually that people are intimidated by her or dislike her honesty and rather cruel critique of u.

however shes very loyal, determined and loving person to the ones she cares about. but can be very calculating, cold and cruel.

after the incident, whereabouts of her are unknown????

zaaki is a carefree child, much like his papa…..he acts very child like and either has a smug look on his face…think of him like a big pupper…cheerful, loud, obnoxious and fun. he is very righteous and virtuous….even though his exterior might make u think hes a dumbass

ok he kinda is but he can be very analytical and forms very quick solutions and tactics on his mind..hes quite creative but not very good with he long study hours. zaaki loves eating iced sweets and in his spare time he goes to bars and inns for drinks and hanging out with rowdy drunk people……and always in a middle of drunken fight lmao

he’s been travelling for a while and currently he’s 24 years old lol

he gets money from fighting in arenas and winning battles and side jobs such as being a bodyguard to nobles or fighting off monsters for $$

She had moderate acne that showed up at the end of elementary school as well as a high metabolism, which made her face “ugly” as well as her body enviable. As such, she was usually alone and friendless, save for one or two people that she talked to once or twice a week. She didn’t really know why no one wanted to talk to her and still doesn’t as she grows older, but Auburn thought that something was wrong with her. After years of being socially isolated by her female classmates and verbally bullied by some of her male peers, Auburn felt like everything was wrong with her, and as such that she wasn’t good enough for anyone. When she was younger she also used to have a really strong distaste for anyone who wasn’t like her (mainly beautiful girls who had clear skin, loved makeup and had nice clothes), thinking that they were just lipstick-brained idiots. After some life experience she learns more about others and reflects on her past self, realizing that a lot of that distaste stemmed from self-hatred and lack of self-worth. She begins to actively rearrange her thinking and check in with herself and her mental state every so often. Auburn even starts wearing makeup and slowly learns to love how she looks with or without it. Through the intervention of others and circumstance, she gained friends that accepted her for who she was. During high school and even close to graduation she had to deal with intense abandonment issues and feared talking about her tangled web of feelings with those she loved in fear of annoying or scaring them away. She slowly comes to live with her social anxiety among other things and grow trust in those who love her, however, and, through their love for her and encouragement of her stupid jokes, becomes more social and more vocal of her ideas. She grows more confidence in herself and gets into writing. When Tanner comes around and they grow trust in each other, Auburn begins to believe that she is worthy of any relationship, whether familial, platonic, or romantic/sexual (which, for her, would be one relationship :))))). Why You Love Them: I’ve made Auburn a lot like myself in quite a few ways. She’s not only a sweet little bean but she also embodies a lot of the things that I want to be; pretty/beautiful, smart, capable, loving, and loved. Although yes, she has a lot of problems (problems that I have as well), it’s very obvious that she’s well-loved, not only by Tanner but also by her friends, and I also want to one day have an S.O. that loves me like Tanner loves Auburn and to love someone like she does Tanner. I also want to highkey have spicy clothes like Auburn and wear heels more often and also be able to do makeup more bc 1) I’m lazy and 2) my sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin cries when I use drugstore brand makeup.
