i feel like i am less important than other ppl. oe that i dont matter , inferior something like that :(
Hii doll!! Tysm for asking me this 💗
Let’s Talk Self Worth!!
Tumblr media
”I just take a book with me everywhere. It’s a habit.” - Rory Gilmore
Tumblr media
Why do you feel this way? Well, the root cause is most likely your surroundings. Those around you, social media, and maybe yourself? Maybe others make you feel unimportant? Maybe social media is telling you others are more important? Or maybe your just always judging yourself? If not, take a moment to think of when you started to feel this way. Then, why you started to feel this way. You can journal this in a notebook or your notes app. Now, describe the wave of emotions you get when feeling this way. Let it all out, it’s ok. Lastly, think of how you can heal from this!
2. Mentality!! Let’s say you get bullied, harsh things are said to you I would believe. The people bullying or saying mean things to you, say you’re “unimportant.” Then those words go to your mind and you start to believe them. Next thing you know more negative words are said. So, your brain continues to believe them as if their affirmations. Your brain now doesn’t even have a say in what you think about yourself. Why? Well, because now you only live by your bullies words. What your bully thinks of you, is how you think of yourself. Now, do you really want to live your life like that? I would hope the answer is no. Ok, so you need to work on becoming secure in yourself. So secure in yourself that when someone says something about you. Guess what, YOU DON’T CARE. You need to start living by your words (and Jesus’s) instead. For example, you like your hair and someone else doesn’t? So what! You go rock that hair of yours cause you like it!!!
3. Stop Comparing Yourself!! Not everything you see and hear is real. Not everyone tells the truth. Plus, what’s the point in comparing yourself to someone your whole life? There is none. What there is, is your older self disappointed thinking back to you now. Not only your older self, your younger self too. They wouldn’t want to see you comparing yourself. I would hope, your present self doesn’t want to be comparing yourself too. In my opinion, comparing yourself is a waste of youth. You spend your whole day, week, month, year, life wasting youth. It’s pointless because it really doesn’t get you anywhere. It just continues to make you more insecure. Therefore, remove what you can that makes you compare yourself. A little example would be deleting social media! If you can remove it from your life, do it.
4. Stop Punishing Yourself!! In other words, stop being so hard on yourself. Just because you got a bad grade isn’t an excuse. Just because you did something “embarrassing” isn’t an excuse. In fact, there is no excuse for punishing yourself. Be nice to yourself instead. You deserve so so sooo much love from yourself. For that reason, give all of that love to yourself. Leave that mistake in the past. Learn to embrace your mistake too. It’s ok, you’ll be ok.
5. You’re Only Human!! If there is one thing I want you to remember from this blog. It’s that you are only human. You can’t be “perfect” and you can’t be happy all the time. Your feelings and struggles are important. We all deal with a bunch of things everyday. It’s in our nature to feel this way at times. Maybe you feel this way more than others, and thats ok. You are only human. Maybe you act different than others, and thats ok. You are only human. Maybe you hate your life, and thats ok. You’re only human. Maybe you can’t do things others can, and thats ok. You’re only human. Maybe you struggle with healing, and thats ok. You are only human. You are only human, imperfectly perfect. You can really only choose to love yourself and have fun. Oh, and remember that you’re only human.
Love you so much dolls!! Remember God loves you and stay pretty 💋🎀

Being that girl once again- back to school!
Tumblr media
It’s back to school season everyone, and my favourite times of the year. In this post im going to give you stuff to do for back to school + advice in specific areas of your school life! I hope everyone can take away something from this post <3
THINGS TO DO BEFORE BACK TO SCHOOL <3
Revise your past term content in your core subjects, ensure there’s nothing you do not understand(it’s better to understand now than have to understand later)
Review what you are going to be learning for this current term in your core subject, you don’t have to study it, just familiarise yourself.
Catch up with your friends- hang out, call or text before the new school term. My favourite thing is to create predictions of drama, couples etc in the upcoming term w my girlies!
Create SMART goals for you to achieve that term, in any aspect you want. I say; 1 goal for academics, 1 goal for social and 1 goal for extracurriculars/sports.
Clean your room !! do a deep clean and declutter. E.g wipe down all surfaces, hover pillows, vacuum floor, clean mirrors, take out any clothes you dislike
Do an everything shower + face masks!!
ACADEMICALLY
Everyday afterschool, revise everything that you’ve learnt today + the things that you struggle on
Anytime you get homework, complete it as soon as possible. Most of the time, it’s easy and non time consuming.
Create study guides for exams/tests while actually learning instead of when the assessments are actually coming up. It saves you a lot of time, which you can use for studying effectively.
If you don’t already, have a specific learning/studying style that works for you. E.g flashcards, blurting, mind map, spaced repetition, the feynman technique. (ofc you can have multiple). Just know the pros and cons of each studying technique.
Or, what I do is that I assign specific studying techniques to different subjects e.g science - blurting, HASS - flashcards, maths - the feynman technique. This may be different to what you have the most success learning.
Have a place, time every day or at least most days, where you can study without distractions. I like to study at the library afterschool, it’s chill and literally void of any distractions.
The only advice in which i’ll say is not optional– do practise questions under the said test conditions. Stop using websites, listening to music, being on your phone etc. Get in the zone and transfer the environment.
SOCIALLY
Make an effort to say hi or goodbye to some people, even if you do not know them that well. If you’re up for it, ask them how they are going or how their day has been.
Start remembering names and birthdays. This will literally make people like you so much more, it’s so simple but people swoon over this. Process names in your mind and write down birthdays in your calendar.
Don’t be afraid to talk to others. Most people do not care if you talk to them, and some are glad that you talk to them. This is how people become well-known or well-liked.
Watch videos on how to converse with people you do not know well effectively and become close with them. TED x has a lot of videos on this, and are usually helpful.
Don’t try to fit in with the crowd. It’s so draining, and even if you think they do, they most likely dislike you(sorry!) . Instead, find/be with your people.
Join a club/extracurricular. You meet so many like-minded people this way, while still developing your own skills. I say everyone should at least have one solid extracurricular.
If you are in a talking stage, three weeks is enough time for him or you to decide if you’re willing to date them. It’s not the 1920s anymore, we have imessages, facetime, skype and others to communicate and get to know each other without contact
Call out your friends if you notice them doing something toxic or generally anything they shouldn’t do. E.g gossiping, getting mad at others, bullying someone. If they continue, it will influence you in the long run.
MENTALLY
Reframe your mindset. I know most of us do not favour school, but do not dwell on negativity and find ways to be positive/neutral about your circumstances. You’ll feel so much better.
Detach. Detachment is literally essential in highschool, there’s so much drama and most likely you will somehow get tied up in it. Stop absorbing what happens and let it influence you, observe what happens and learn from it. I have a post on this here.
Start saying affirmations everyday. I know affs are usually viewed as a manifestation thing, but it doesn’t have to be. It can be a simple one minute way to cultivate a neutral/positive perspective of yourself.
Journal. Things will happen, so journaling is a great way to discuss your circumstances, feelings, trauma, relationships etc and develop a sense of identity at the same time. I have a post on this here.
Meditate. It can be go-go-go constantly, but just take a break and gain some mental clarity and see how much better you feel decluttering your mind.
Embrace a change and growth mindset, especially in an environment where we are constantly required to adapt.
PHYSICALLY
Start stretching.. seriously. You sit at a desk for like 5 hours a day excluding lunch and recess, everyday, which is of course going to do a number on your body. It can relieve pain in many different areas.
Have at least 1 form of exercise you do everyday. I know being students, we have to sit at a desk constantly. But, do not give up on practising good exercise habits. Not only can it help with results, it’s good for you.
Get the recommended sleep of 6-8 hours per night, which is good quality sleep without disruptions. It helps with long term memory and you’ll feel better.
Start packing healthy but tasty lunches to school instead of buying. You’ll save so much money in the long run, and it’s better for your body.
BEAUTY
Get your uniforms tailored just a bit. Not too noticeable, but enough that it fits better on your body. Especially for button formal shirts, as they make you look 10 times as bulky than what you actually are.
Buy new jewellery, earrings, necklaces or whatever you’re allowed. Subtle but noticeable jewellery makes girls look so pretty.
Learn new hairstyles!! Don’t just wear the same hair everyday, mix it up, it’s fun and makes you look attractive.
Get a good eyebrow gel + clear mascara. Legit life changer, I look so much better everyday because I look put together without make up.
apply  vaseline on areas you would apply highlight, but avoid your eye area.
Have a good skincare regime!! Being a student is stressful, getting pimples is a sign of stress.
Okay that's it. Happy back to school everyone! Here’s an affirmation for you <3
I am intelligent and capable. I am skilled and confident in my abilities. I am perceived well by others. I am healthy. I am wealthy. I am looking for this term to be full of good grades, vibes, friends, growth and fun.

The first time you met jess was in a bookstore.
Your school had hour long lunches, so students were allowed to leave the campus and go out to get food or stay at school and eat the food they make. On this day you decided to go the bookstore, it was just up the street from your school. You grabbed your walkman, grabbed a mixtape from your bag and put on your headphones.
You enter the bookstore just as your music started playing, looking at the different labeled shelves you tried finding the one you needed. You were looking for a copy of Macbeth, not to read for the first time, you had just lent your copy of Macbeth to one of your friends and it'd been a month and a half, you were not getting your book back, clearly. The bookstore was small, it didn't have many sections to it so your best guess at finding the book was in the fiction section.
You hummed along to Love of My Life by Queen, which was honestly one of your favorite song at the moment. Skimming through the fiction section for last names that start with 'S', you found yourself crouching down to the bottom of the shelf.
You probably would've found Macbeth too, if it wasn't for someone tripping over you. You headphones and walkman were smacked off you head. When you reached over to grab them, you looked over to the person who was basically face down on the floor. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to be in your way, I had my headphones on, are you alright?" You ask the guy, who'd now sat up from the floor.
"I'm fine." He replied curtly. "Are you sure?" you asked, it was only then that the boy looked at you. He was pretty, very pretty. His furrowed brows softening as he spoke out his next response, "Yeah, yeah, I'm okay". You nod at him and stand to your feet reaching your hand out toward him to take. "Thanks" he let out and gave you a tight lipped smile.
The second time you guys met was in the same bookstore.
You were cautious this time, not looking through the books on the bottom shelf, and leaving one ear uncovered while you wore your headphones. You were just browsing today. It happened to be you day off from the coffee shop you worked at and school finished only a couple hours ago. Not only that you were kind of hoping you'd run into the pretty boy again. Maybe not run into him literally, he'd already tripped over you.
Browsing through different sections of the store you found yourself in the fiction area again. You smiled as you saw the boy standing there reading the back of a book. Checking out the summary of course.
"Hey, I almost didn't recognize you, standing up." He looked over to you with furrowed brows, as if he just recognized you he spoke, "Almost didn't recognize you not being in my way," your shoulders slumped and you felt guilty all over again, "I'm so sorry, let me make it up to you, there's a coffee shop up the block, I'll buy you whatever you want?" He stayed silent for only a second before putting the book he had back on the shelf, "fine."
"Okay?" You asked, wanting a confirmation, "sure, yeah." You smiled brightly at him and led him out the bookstore.
Upon entering the Cafe you were greeted by many familiar faces, you smile back and offer a small wave. "You come here a lot?" The boy beside you asked, "Yeah, I guess you could say that, I actually work here," he offered a nod in response. Both of you ordered and true to your word you bought his drink.
You went to go sit down at a table near the back of the cafe, not wanting your co workers to overhear the boy's and your conversation. "I never got your name," you told the boy, he mumbled a small oh and mumbled his name, of course you heard him wrong.
"Like the cherry?" His brows quickly furrowed together "What?"
"Your last name?" He let out a laugh, it was the first time he showed any other emotion. "No, no it's Mariano, Jess Mariano, definitely not like the cherry." His laughter died a little down and he just smiled at you, "definitely not" you smiled back.
You spent the rest of the day in the corner of that coffee shop talking, laughing from time to time, and listening to one another.
The next time you saw him was at the coffee shop.
You were working on a Saturday, it was extremely busy. You hadn't been able to take a break yet and you were starving. That's when Jess walked in, when things were starting to slow down. You noticed him before he had a chance to say hello. "Jess! Hi!" You smiled at him, "Hi Y/n, you told me you usually work Saturdays so I thought I'd come by and see if you had any free time coming up, or if your shift was almost over?" You could feel your face heat up, and butterflies in your stomach erupted as you realized he'd come to see you, "Hey V?" You called toward your manager, "Hey whats up Y/n?" She called back, "The stores calmed some, I think I'm going to take my lunch now!" She yelled back an okay, "I have free time right now," Jess smiled back at you, "let me get my coat."
You walked around the block with Jess. He listened to you talk about your day at work and he talked about a book he was currently reading, before he walked you back to work. Before you entered he asked if he could call you, nodding you gave him your number before you really had to get back to work.
You guys called each other everyday. He'd occasionally visit you at work, and you were starting to spend all you free time with him. The two of you got closer and closer, eventually you told him how you'd been emancipated and lived on your own with your aunt occasionally checking in on you. He told you about his mom and how he was always finding himself in trouble. Soon enough he told you he was transferring to your school because he'd been expelled from his old one. Now it seemed like you guys were inseparable. He was still finding himself in trouble but not as much as he was before.
Jess asked you to be his girlfriend on your birthday, April 11, you couldn't stop smiling the entire day. Jess got to know all of your coworkers and your aunt. She really liked him. You met his mom, you could tell she wasn't your biggest fan, but she couldn't lie, you were a good influence on her son.
Everything was going great, until you realized you were pregnant. It was February when you realized you hadn't bought a new box of pads, and then you couldn't remember the last time you had your period. It not like you could tell Jess at the time, he mom sent him to live with his uncle, about two weeks about Jess turned 17. You didn't think you could tell him over the phone you were pregnant or thought you were pregnant. You didn't see the signs either, you weren't getting morning sickness, and if you did you always brushed it off as eating something bad.
You called your aunt and told her to come as soon as possible. You felt nauseous as you waited for her come with the tests. When she finally showed up you cried into her shoulder the nervousness getting to you. She tried to convince you that you weren't pregnant and that it was only a coincidence, maybe your period is irregular honey, she told you. The nausea you felt before was stronger as you waited for the tests to give you the results. After a couple of minutes you looked at the tests.
"Fuck"
You told your aunt and she stayed with you until you stopped crying, she offered to take you to the doctors the next day just to confirm and to see how far along you were. She ended up spending the night with you. You wanted to think about this rationally as soon as you could but the only thing running through your mind was Jess. He'd called you earlier that night but you didn't answer. You thought you'd probably blurt it out if you did. You missed him so much, and cursed his mother for sending him away. You wanted to be next to him as soon as possible, you wanted to tell him in person. You wanted to be with him.
The next day you told your aunt that you'd planned to be with Jess and you were leaving on the weekend, she respected your wishes and told you she's send your stuff as soon as you found somewhere to settle down, and if you need help not to hesitate to call her. You bought a bus ticket to stars hallow and went on your way as soon as the weekend came around. You did answer Jess' calls until then but decided not to tell him your plans until you saw him.
Stars hallow was a small town very small town, luckily for you , you knew exactly where to look for him. Once you got off the bus you asked the nearest person for the diner his uncle owned. "Hi, I'm Y/n, can you tell me where Luke's is?" The guy introduced himself as Kirk and told you were to go, offering to take you there, but you politely declined. When you made it to the diner, you looked around for Jess but it seemed he wasn't there.
You sat on the counter and decided to wait. "Hey what can I get you?" An older man asked, you shook your head, he sighed. "Look if you don't order anything I'm going to have to ask you leave." You nodded and told him a soda would be nice, "You're Luke right?" You asked the older man when he came back with your soda. He furrowed his brows and you were now sure he was. He nodded and let out a yeah. "I'm Y/n, Jess's girlfriend." He looked surprise to see you, "he didn't say you were visiting," you shook your head. "Uh he doesn't know I'm here." He nodded his head, "He should be here in a little I'll let him now to help you."
When Jess showed up only a couple of minutes later Luke went up to him and told him to serve the girl at the counter. "Whatever" he said to Luke and grabbed a pen and pad to write down an order, not looking up to see you he asked what he could get you. "You know it's a little rude not to greet the customers beforehand," you told him, "what? Y/n?" You giggled as he put the pad down and walked around the counter. You stood up from the stool and hugged Jess. He hugged you back tightly, "What are you doing here Y/n?" He smiled brightly at you, "I came to see you silly," he reached for your face and kissed you harshly, butterflies erupted in your stomach and you could feel your face heat up. You pulled away from him first, slightly embarrassed because of the people in the diner. "Hey why don't you show Y/n around the town?" Luke said to you guys. Jess nodded and grabbed your hand and pulled you out of the diner.
You spent the rest of the day with him, he didn't really show you around but that's okay. You'd see it another day. Jess asked you throughout the day what you were actually doing there but you would change the subject not wanting to ruin the day. You'll tell him later you thought. You got food from Luke's for dinner and Jess took you to a bridge telling you that's where Luke pushed him off, you laughed and wished you were there to witness that. It was a really calm quiet night, you could get used to this you thought to yourself.
"What are you actually doing here, Y/n? You work on Saturdays, why aren't you in New York?" You shrugged your shoulders, "I quit." You said curtly. He furrowed his brows but didn't press on the matter. You sat in silence watching the moon's reflection in the water below you. You thought you'd feel nauseous in the moment but you weren't.
"Hey Jess?" You called out to him. "Yeah Y/n," he replied still looking at the water below. You could feel your heartbeat quickly, and you hands start to tremble. "I'm pregnant." You said before you could psyche yourself out of saying it. You looked over to Jess whose eyebrows were raised astronomically high, he looked at you with wide eyes. You didn't say anything else. His face softened as he took in this new information "oh."
