albedo, the one you always look for in the crowd. he was never a student who got all the attention, but there’s a few times when he’s called up on stage because he won a place in the art contests held. in the canteen, during the flag ceremony, or even when school ends, your eyes would always be looking for his figure in the ocean of students that would be flooding the school grounds.

lyney, the flirtatious one who never seems to give up. this guy is dead set on flattering you. from pulling up some simple tricks from his sleeves (literally because he managed to pull a bouquet out of his sleeves once and you still don’t know how that worked) to smoothly slipping flattering words into a normal conversation you two would have. he just doesn’t know when to give up! but when you finally give him a taste of his own medicine, he’s the one stuttering with red ears.

wriothesley, the varsity player that you didn’t expect to fall for. he was out of your league, in your opinion. wriothesley had his popularity, and it was certainly deserved because of his talent, smarts, and looks. but it doesn’t matter if the majority of the school’s population fawns over him. after all, at the end of the day, he still comes home to you.

kazuha, the poet whose hands are never tired of writing for and about you. it started with him slipping some simple anonymous notes that wished you good luck for the day and that you shouldn’t forget to eat your meals. it was a sweet gesture, especially when you had a rough day. but it soon turned into poems about the things he noticed about you, like how he admires the way your eyes would sparkle in joy when you see a stray cat around campus or how he admires your loving personality, which makes him fall even harder. kazuha would never get tired of this. after all, it is you who he is writing for anyway.

neuvillette, the student council member that you couldn’t help but like. he had everything! the leadership skills, the smarts, the talents, the personality, and god, don’t even start with his looks. he was way out of your league with that! but admiring from afar simply wouldn’t hurt, right? not that much attachment, just him being a source of motivation for you to get up and go to school.

childe, the class clown who never fails to make you smile. but even if he’s typically known with the title "class clown", there is a different reason as to why he makes you smile. he’s good at reading the room and can easily detect if someone is feeling down; hell, he even makes the effort of being inclusive to everyone and making sure that they’re not feeling left out. and that’s just a really nice thing to notice. of course, it’s no surprise that childe would notice that you’ve been having a bad day as well. from passing on stupid, silly notes to cheer you up to lending his ear to listen, he’d break his back just to make you break a smile.

xiao, the one who would always wake you up. no matter the time or place, he’d always find you sleeping. and he secretly keeps you company if you’re alone. oh, you accidentally slept in the library while studying? don’t worry; xiao already took the chair next to you and decided to work there. but as the time ticks on the clock, the library has to close now, so he wakes you up. it was always the same, but you never knew who would wake you up in the end.

thoma, the guy who gets along with everyone (especially with you). one could probably misinterpret his actions as romantic because he’s just… really nice to everyone. not that it’s a bad thing; it’s sweet, really. but you can’t help but overthink if his actions have meanings. from him waiting for you at your locker, you and him playfully nudging and joking around each other without even noticing that there are others around the two of you, and his words probably have some implication—it’s complicated. it’s like, you’re friends, but you’re also not sure if your feelings for him are reciprocated.

Probably not. You can ask lore questions if you want tho. I wanted to draw more but i got distracted with other ideas, and I can only work on a few at a time

No, I don't know Spanish, tho I've always wanted to learn. I just haven't had the motivation to actively pursue learning it. I'm Filipino so my actual first language is Tagalog. Aside from that I also know a bit of Japanese because it was in our high school's curriculum.

synopsis: simeon is so damn pretty and nice, you think you fall short. luckily for you, he thinks otherwise, and really wants to marry you when the time comes for the both of you.

Father as Our Witness

“prayers again?”

you look up to meet smiling azure eyes, the black cassock reflecting in his irises. simeon was carrying togas and a coin box, and after some insistence, you took the togas from him to lighten his load. setting down the clipboard of prayers down a table, you stand up and walk with him towards the back of the chapel.

“as usual, the top of the batch got first reading. quite fitting for him, no?” you remarked bitterly.

simeon chuckles and replies, “is that jealousy i hear?”

you stay silent, shifting your attention to the people going in the chapel already. simeon gives you a gentle nudge, as if to remind you of your conversation. you sigh in defeat, swallowing your pride.

“you’re hard to be around when i feel like hating someone for having better things happen to them. in fact, i feel like i’ve done such a big sin.”

“please don’t feel bad, we all want the best for ourselves. you’re not a bad person to feel this way,” the angel reassures. “why, what’s making it hard for you to be around me when you’re feeling… that way?”

you choose your words carefully despite talking through a tough confrontation. “you don’t feel these, simeon. you’re… different. i’m petty, i’m envious of an impossible person, i’m impatient to change. simeon, i’m not the best person, and the fact that we’re together doesn’t even seem real to me.”

he doesn’t respond. you gulp down the sob building up your throat, worried about his response. the two of you reach the back of the chapel, setting down the things you two brought in its right places. your throat ached setting out those words for him. communicating was not your best suit, especially if it was about your feelings.

“i take it back, forget it, it’s wrong, i shouldn’t have thought that,” you sighed. as you smooth out the togas held by hangers, a hum of the psalms tickled your ear. simeon stands beside you, facing the altar. he pauses his song to look at you.

“love, you’re not a bad person. you’re human and i don’t judge you for that. just because i’m closer in creation to father doesn’t mean i have the right to judge you.”

you purse your lips and face nowhere, looking anywhere but the angel’s eyes. a sinner you were, and a sinner you will be. that was the truth for those around you, but why not for him? your doubt-filled heart found it hard to take that, thus you resorted to forcing out the reassuring words he gave you from yourself. an unhealthy habit you wish to unlearn for him.

“right, i’m sorry.” you pause, struggling to take the words out of your mouth. the angel smiles at you, sighing.

“nevermind that. me being an angel is quite the hindrance between us. but, even with that,” simeon continues, taking your hand in his discreetly. “prayers sound beautiful when they come out of your lips, no matter what kind. if you were a bit nicer, you’d fit right in.”

a smile formed on your lips as you shook your head. “you really have to stop being this smooth. keep being nice to me and i fear i’m going to be the red flag in our relationship, simeon.”

“and you are. do i mind? not really.”

“tch, what does that mean!”

you scoff at him and take a toga, putting it over your head. simeon pulls down the toga while you slip your arms into its sleeves. he pats down the toga along with you, straightening it out. you tie a knot to its string, and notice your undone hair in the mirror in front of you.

“ah, i’ll fix this, be right back,” you say, striding to the comfort room. simeon hums in response and goes back to the table for the offerings.

twisting the ends of your hair as you went out, you saw simeon mingling with other altar servers about the procession. some boys helped one another put on their cassocks, while some of them joked around with some religious apparatus. simeon held a strained smile, most likely uncomfortable by their horseplay. he caught your eye and signalled the two of you to talk somewhere else. you follow him to the back of the altar to carry out the remaining things needed for the mass at the back of the chapel.

you took a cup from the cabinet and broke the silence. “hehe, i could see you wanted to tell the younger ones from playing with those. would you be annoyed if i told you i’ve done worse with them as a kid?”

“you were a kid, what did you know? but that surprises me, you didn’t strike me as a wild child. i didn’t think you even went through a childhood,” simeon replies.

“simeon, if i wasn’t smitten with you and your stupid face, i would have punched you.”

he snickered at your retort, moving you to retaliate. as he moved to nudge you, you panicked and swiped your finger in the incense, smearing a mark on his cheek. simeon scoffs and follows suit, attempting to do the same to you. you flaunt your white toga, exclaiming, “no, no! don’t do that, i have white clothes. if you smear me, i’ll blame you!”

“that’s not fair. alright,” simeon retreats, “but you owe me food later.”

you both stop your shenanigans, resuming what you two were supposed to be doing. you take out the incense and wipe the dust off its container. simeon was folding cloth needed for the mass. a few minutes later, you two head back to the back of the chapel, carrying the items you needed.

simeon walked down the aisle and you followed him.

the two of you walked in slow strides. you both had numerous religious apparatus in hand, and you did not need a lecture from your handler. at some point the aisle looked longer than usual, prompting you to look at simeon.

his hair fell down perfectly, curling slightly at the tips. his blue eyes reflected the gold of the cups he was holding and the black of his cassock. the sun seeped through the chapel’s stained windows, the light shining upon the angel, forming a halo decorated with color. you stare at him in awe, mind lost. lord, give me strength. if repenting for jealousy was something you should do to keep this angel by your side, you would do it ten times over.

unbeknownst to you, simeon has been staring at you in his peripheral vision. the white toga that cascaded over your uniform resembled you as his partner to be wed. your walk mirrored how a bride walked through the aisle in a traditional wedding. simeon had half a mind to take off the black cassock and leave his white toga on to delude himself in a picture of your wedding day. bells clamored at the back of the chapel, sun rays peeked through the stained glass, and the devotees brought flowers. his resolve met defeat, giving in to the temptation to look at you. simeon thought your envy was for naught; there was nothing more he could want from you.

“mc,” simeon murmured. “you look nice in white.” you were confused at his compliment. “thank you? haha, love what was that for?”

“i really… want to see you in this. in front of my father, our father, bearing witness to our vows. if he approves, i will flaunt you. if he does not, i will still do the same. i want to see you again in this, but in different white clothes, walking down the aisle of the church.”

simeon catches himself saying this, looking away from your gaze. “if you want to, that is. we’re still young, we don’t know the future-“

“i don’t mind, especially if it’s you.” your stomach lurched in cringe when you realized you basically said yes to his indirect proposal, but your heart fluttered at the way the angel’s expression lit up in excitement. once you both reached the back of the chapel, you set down the religious apparatus. as soon as your hands were free, simeon flung his arms around you and let out a soft laugh. the other altar boys snicker at the sight, but you couldn’t care less.

“is this your way of dealing with my insecurities?” you chuckle, pulling away to save face. “you’re overdoing it. i’m done sulking.”

simeon gives you a smile pretty enough to send you to heaven, “did it work? if you want a stronger guilt trip, you can turn to raphael. although, that would make me the jealous one.” you nudge his shoulder.

“and i’ll be the reassuring one? ah, how cute, i can imagine coaxing you to be happy again when you’re all and pouty that i’m not giving you a time of my day,” you chided.

you forget your self-deprecating episode from earlier, and go on with simeon in preparing for the mass.

My Take on The Backup Detectives AU

This is an AU created by @skullse-mi and I am so fascinated by it, that what if... my OC, alongside a few familiar characters, would be a group of detectives like Mickey and his friends, only they work on cases overseas. Well here they are and please enjoy!

Kate Morgan Jones (My OC)

Leader of a detective team known as the Canardian Investigators, a group of investigators that work on cases overseas, rivals to Mortimer and Gladstone and friends to the Backup Detectives. Kate, nicknamed the 'She Devil Detective', is a tomboyish young girl with a fiery temper and an appetite for helping others. She is an American Filipino girl who loves anime and manga, a fan of rock music and often swooning boys due to her beauty. She is half succubus, often showing her horns and tails when she gets angry.

Megavolt (Darkwing Duck)

In this AU, he is Elmo Sputterspark (not really Megavolt), the forensic scientist of the team and Kate's boyfriend. He suffers from memory loss in high school but he's super smart and organize when it comes to analyzing forensics for the different cases they take.

Quackerjack (Darkwing Duck)

His real name in this AU is Jack Mabeline, the team's prankster detective who would target Mortimer and Gladstone for his various pranks and jokes. He works as a professional comedian for various club functions and is Daisy's co. worker.

Bushroot (Darkwing Duck)

Reginald 'Reggie' Bushroot, a florist by day and the team's 2nd forensic scientist by night. He is sweet and shy, always had a green thumb when it comes to researching plants. He also has a living Venus flytrap named Spike, who is the team's canine (?) companion.

Liquidator (Darkwing Duck)

Bud Flud, the team's financial manager and business consultant, is frugal when it comes to money, a true salesman. He often helps the team when they are cases of corrupt business and others that is business related.

So BG3 is currently holding a chokehold on me and I can't help but think of hetasean dnd au. I'll try to limit this to PHB and 5e for simplicity reasons. also sorry I'm not a seasoned DND player at all i played one casual campaign but only actually understood the mechanics after playing bg3 LOL im a highly kinetic-visual person

Vietnam: Any tanky build will do as such I was thinking an atheist paladin would be funny lol. She is definitely the one with the most hands-on experience in battle. Proficient with polearms and shields. I see her more leaning towards martial classes, so like barbarian or fighter. probably fighter. Looks Lawful but actually Chaotic. Hmm... maybe Neutral Good?

Thailand: Monk for the muay thai coolness. Not sure about his subclass tho... most of them don't sound lethal and brutal enough. Definitely Lawful Evil.

Malaysia: At first I was thinking of a gunslinger build (just so I can give him a loooooong boy ala Malacca era) but the fighter subclass, because he doesn't come off as the artificer type to me. Either that or barbarian for the tiger rage. Now him being a druid would allow him to actually turn into a tiger, but honestly Mal as a character doesn't seem so druid-y to me--Oh wait. he skips meetings to catch sea creatures and talks about social harmony... maybe he could be a druid. Chaotic Good.

Singapore: Any class that relies on high INT, like wizard . Ok I said I'd limit to PHB but war magic is so him. The other schools just doesn't scream poisoned shrimp enough for me. Lawful Neutral.

Indonesia: At first I was thinking of cleric to match his worldflags counterpart but Indo as a warlock is a delicious thought. Besides, Pact of Talisman mechanic sounds like typical indo black magic shenanigans. Of course the talisman must be a haunted ornate keris. Then later another idea came: what if he's a multiclass bard-monk?? The mechanics match up with pesilat Betawi as it's tradition to roast your opp with pantun (type of Malay poem) before commencing the beating. So like, Vicious Mockery -> Flurry of Blows . but if Thai is already a monk, Indo will have to relinquish that role for diversity reasons. I'm on the fence between True Neutral and Chaotic Neutral.

Philippines: Him being a bard is a no-brainer because filipinos and singing!!11!!! also after playing a bard, there seem to be more of roasting a dude than singing But hear me out: deadly dex-based fighter. Or since he already has Pien, why not a beast master ranger? If we really need to play that Catholic Trauma™ then Piri could be a cleric. never paladin tho. Two-weapon proficiency, twin blades because he's a gemini. Same alignment as Indo awww twinning!!! but leaning more on chaotic

this is still a brainstorming post maaaaybe I'll draw their designs some day...... what do y'all think???? I'd like to hear some suggestions 🙌

Thank you for the tags @inlocusmads and @alleykatart !! Here are three random facts (...and some bonus ones too) about me!

This fact is very embarrassing and bisexual. In my junior year of high school, I had a very huge stupid crush on a girl in my English class. It was so bad. I cringe every time I think about it. Oh my god. I can’t stop cringing. It was so intense my top two songs on Spotify wrapped for that year (2022) were Brand New City AND Once More to See You by Mitski. I would bake for her – with her knowledge of course – at least every other week because I didn’t know how else to express my first-time sapphic yearning LOL. (Also fun fact, I came out as bi in 2018)! She drew me as a ‘thank you’ gift and I still have it hung up on my wall :’) Anyways. You do really cringy stupid shit as a high schooler. Also, I found out she did not like me back after I just spent three hours baking her a heart-shaped cake the week before Valentine’s Day. I was crushed haha.

I’ve always loved writing and literature. In elementary school, my two best friends and I would spend every single recess and lunch break writing little stories together. One of said friends and I wrote this horrible cliche story about two twin sisters – who were essentially gothic copies of us – called Raven and Evelin Moonblood. GOD. We were super obsessed with Supernatural at the time and it was…so bad lol. I stopped writing after middle school, and I got back into it years later – in my senior year of high school, I took a creative writing course and loved it. I wrote a short story called It’ll Pass that was very obviously inspired by Fleabag and I was so proud of it. (I still am). I also wrote a short 10-minute play called Made with Love about a Filipino woman cooking her late Mom’s sinigang recipe and obviously, it inspired me to write my very first Crimes fic of the same name!

Horror has always been my favorite genre ever. I love Asian horror films and analog horror, and even as a kid, I was super into cryptids and creepy shit like the Bermuda Triangle. It’ll always be my favorite genre to write, too, and I will GLADLY write like a thousand AUs of Emily and Trystan going through the bleakest horrific shit ever.

And some bonus mini-facts about me because I just will never shut up about myself lol…

4. The dog Emily and Trystan have, Twilight, is named after my real-life dog who looks a lot like her :) Though, mine is a pittie and not a boxer like in-game. I love her so much. She turns six in June, and every year on her birthday I cook her a little meal – usually with pumpkin puree and plain chicken.

5. My writing routine is very annoying. I must always write at night – at least in the dark – and I have to either listen to jazz compilations on YouTube or listen to nothing at all. I usually write in my bed – which is a shit habit I’m trying to break – and I also have a horrible posture because of it lol.
