Rtc neurodivergency headcanons:

Ocean isn’t professionally diagnosed because her parents think that smoking weed will somehow cure her autism

Noel was diagnosed when he was five and I feel like his mom started out as one of those mommy bloggers who was like “autism has stolen my son 😭”

She got better don’t worry

Penny is very attached to her doll and loves it to death but if she accidentally touches the fabric on the dolls dress when she’s having a bad sensory day she will yeet that bitch across the room as fast as humanly possible

We stan Mischa our favorite undiagnosed adhd bisexual Ukrainian king

Constance is the one who diagnosed Ocean because like A. She’s been friends with this girl for her entire life and B. She is also autistic

Ricky has a stim that is literally just him signing the word for cat

Ocean and Mischa are the perfect pair during group projects because Ocean has the unlimited energy that she gets out by writing as fast as humanly possible and Mischa just has these bursts of productivity that he uses for the more creative parts of the project

Ocean has a verbal stim that she got from Penny where she just kinda makes a small little “hmm” sound

Noel has a stim where he just kinda…blows on his fingers. Like Ocean will be in the middle of talking and he’ll just kinda…bring his hand in front of his mouth and blow on it

Constance’s mortal enemy is this specific blanket that is brown and has those little fuzzy cotton balls that are like sensory hell

Mischa messes with his phone case as a stim

Penny and Ricky are the least experienced people at masking

“People already think we’re weird, why try to hide it now?”

Ocean almost never stops masking

Like it is so hard to get her relaxed

One time she was having a meltdown in class and the only person who noticed was Noel because she was gripping her dress so tightly that he knuckles looked like pieces of paper

As much as they argue, Noel and Ocean are really good at calming each other down when they’re having a meltdown

They’ll notice the other is in the middle of one during class and then figure out a way to somehow get them both out of class and into a secluded location

Mischa has a very specific set of headphones and a very specific hoodie for whenever his executive dysfunction is at its worst or he’s just having a really bad sensory day

Whenever Ricky’s having a bad day whenever he gets home he makes it his personal goal to pet every single cat in the house because A. It is an impossible task and B. The cats’ fur always sends him to sensory heaven

This either comes out one of three ways:

He gets so caught up in trying to pet all the cats and the difficulty that this task brings that he forgets about his bad day

He gets so distracted in the fluffiness of the kitties that he forgets about his day

He accomplishes the task and is so proud and happy with himself that he forgets why he felt bad in the first place

Ocean came over one day and he could tell she was really wound up so he gave the challenge to her instead

She was later seen running after a very chunky orange kitty throughout the hallways while Ricky rolled behind with the biggest grin on his face

His parents took a picture of that moment that he now has on the wall of his room

Noel has a basket full of stim toys in his room

Sometimes when they have a sleepover at his house there’s like a solid few minutes of just fidget toy noises

They all steal hoodies from Mischa and then proceed to steal Mischa’s hoodies from each other

Constance has a lot of information on a lot of things because she has a new special interest about every month or so

She makes comfort cupcakes when she knows the others are in that place where everything is just too much

One year for her birthday present Constance bought Ocean noise cancelling headphones

Ocean almost sobbed

The wild hunt

The Wild Hunt or also known as Wotans Hunt is a legend or folk tale that occurs in several European regions.

In other words, it is a large group of ghosts, gods and other demons that move thunderously and loudly across the sky. Depending on the legend and region, watching the wild hunt could be interpreted differently, but often as a bad omen that predicted catastrophes, wars, barren harvests and even death. It has often been assumed that the wild hunt also takes souls of sleeping or dying people with it.

The band is described as fearsome riders on dark horses and with hunting dogs, riding around on a cold storm wind and bringing disaster with them.

The time between the “Rauhnächte” or “Zwölfnächte” (winter solstice / December 21st to January 2nd, in European customs also between December 25th and January 6th) is particularly associated with the Wild Hunt.

The hunt races through the sky with all kinds of loud noises, screams and howls; you can often hear the neighing of horses and the barking of dogs in the distance. The group is led by the Germanic pagan god Wodan or Frau Holle / Frau Perchta (here too, it depends on the legend and region).

Other members of the Wild Hunt are any spirits/souls of people who have died due to violence or misfortune, including children. Animals also come along (horses and dogs etc) and, like human souls, stay with the hunt until they are freed. To free a soul from the duty of hunting usually requires a victim who has to fulfill the soul's duty in place of the soul until it is also freed. So the Wild Hunt is everlasting and infinite.

Maybe this has already been pointed out but it just came to me that there’s a pretty common theme between Travis’s characters that they all seem to share: being brought to their lowest point, then, despite it all, rising up.

Like for example, Cerrit, sole survivor of the ring of brass, who failed to see the corruption right under his nose, knowing that all of his friends have fallen, and if he doesn’t move he will soon follow them; flying above the smoke and destruction, up, up, up into the unknown in search of his family waiting for him in bluer skies.

And then there’s Fjord, striking down his former patron, following Uk’otoa as he sinks down to the deepest depth of the Lucidian Ocean to purge away his past mistakes and seal away the biggest evil that has haunted his life. The body of the serpent vanishes, and then it’s just Fjord, alone at the bottom of the sea. And despite it all he kicks off the sand, swimming up, up, up in search of his family waiting for him in bluer skies.

Just some pretty imagery there, I think.

I’ve come to realize that there are several different types of Tim Drake fans, that can all be sorted different ways, but I’m going to sort them this way:

Hate/Dislike Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, and Damian Wayne: idk if this is a result of cancel culture or what, but the fact that they’ve all wronged him at least once is apparently the worst thing in the universe, as though not everyone has done something that could be perceived as wronging Tim at some point in comic history. I hate to break it to you guys, but y’all are extremely biased, and Tim isn’t so innocent either

Hate/Dislike Jason Todd and Damian Wayne: This is because they both tried to kill Tim at one point and you haven’t been able to let it go. While this is more valid than the last one, I still think you need to chill with the character hate, they’ve both been through some pretty traumatic stuff and we’re mostly not in their right minds when they did that. I mean, I’m not saying it’s okay that they tried to kill Tim, but they’re also fictional representations of what might occur if you came back to life after having died only to see all your insecurities thrown at your face, or if you were raised by a murder cult.

Hate/Dislike Damian Wayne: Now this group of people likely fall into the mentality that because at one point Tim hero-worshipped Jason, he must not have hard feelings for him, and therefore neither should you. But also you can’t forgive the 10-year-old for acting on his traumatized, raised-by-a-murder cult mentalities, like any 10-year-old has the ability to think outside their biases born from the childhood they were provided.

Love/Like ALL the robins: You either believe that Tim wouldn’t hold hard feelings, so neither should you, or you realize they’re all fictional characters who hold the fatal flaw of having flaws and not being perfect individuals.

I’m not saying that any of this is 100% accurate or anything, and you could probably throw some variations of adding Bruce, Stephanie, or even Alfred into the mix, but these are the thoughts that I had while taking a shower yesterday and have only just now put into typing.

Anywho, basically, there are people who don’t like Dick Grayson because of what happened when Dick gave Damian Robin, and while I see your perspective, and I don’t agree with his actions at the time, Dick was a desperate, young adult who just lost his second father and was thrust into a role and burden he never wanted. Of course he made mistakes, anyone would! I don’t believe he was ever trying to alienate Tim the way it ended up being. (Side note: the wanting to put Tim in Arkham is fanon, and should not be used as a reason for disliking Dick. I believe there was mention of therapy, but that’s it, and while it’s extremely hypocritical of Dick to suggest therapy while not being willing to go himself, it’s not like he was exactly wrong. They all need therapy; even before everyone he loved was dying around him Tim needed therapy. You probably need therapy too.)

For everyone who dislikes Jason Todd, I see your reasoning, I really do. He took his hurt and pain out at being replaced and unavenged out on Tim and likely did some pretty heavy psychological damage whilst doing so. It’s a bit hypocritical of him to be so upset about being replaced when he 1. Doesn’t know the full story and/or 2. Was a “replacement” himself. But you have to remember that none of this is really about Tim. Maybe that makes it worst, maybe that makes it better, but it’s the truth. Jason literally died and came back to life, and the minute he gains complete thought he realizes he’s been in the hands of the League of Assassins, and that his torturer and murderer is still out there causing harm to everyone he can. Was he wrong to take all of this out on Tim? Yes, obviously, Tim was just trying to help and honor Jason’s legacy. Does he deserve a chance to make it up to Tim and be better? Also yes. Batman preaches about second chances, which is part of the reason why he doesn’t kill, but to me that’s like being someone who’s never been a victim of rape or abuse, and telling someone who has been a victim of rape or abuse that they’re wrong for being traumatized and that they should forgive their rapist or abuser and just get over it. That’s not how trauma works, and even if you’re against killing someone yourself, you don’t get to tell a victim how to protect themselves from those who harmed them. Locking him up didn’t and doesn’t work, and all he’s doing is creating more victims without any inclination towards change or remorse.

Sorry, that went into a bit of a rant that nobody asked for. Not that anybody asked for any of this, of course. Anywho, the point of all that was to say that Jason Todd is a victim. I’m not saying that Tim isn’t a victim, and that he shouldn’t also get the same allowances as Jason of course. Tim also went through a very traumatizing experience, he should get to do what makes him feel safe. (Another side note: forgiving someone and putting yourself back into a harmful situation are two different things. You can forgive someone and also want to never have to see them again. That’s valid, and even if that person isn’t actively trying to harm you anymore, their presence in and of itself can still be harmful.)

This all leads into Damian Wayne. I mentioned before that Damian showed up as a traumatized 10-year-old straight out of being raised by a murder-cult. Damian, like Jason, is a victim and deserves the chance to grow and change. Tim is also a victim, and deserves not to constantly be in a state of Danger. So what does this mean? I’ve seen some people mention that Damian is never actually punished for any of his harmful actions. And I’ve seen other people wonder how you plan on punishing the traumatized 10-year-old. I’m not a parent, but I am currently studying psychology, and I believe some of the same stuff applies. You can’t just throw Damian in jail or ground him or something, that’s never going to work, and will only alienate him further— reducing his likelihood of listening and being open to change. Damian needs to be shown that his actions have consequences though (Look at me acting like he’s a real person). You can’t just hear/see him actively trying to harm someone and be like :( bad Damian. That just tells him that he’s never going to be punished for his actions, and can therefore get away with it. You need a balance, and to also recognize that Tim is allowed to be defensive and not want to be in the same room as Damian. You see Damian do something wrong? He’s benched from being Robin, and you explain that this is not what Robin represents and that Robin doesn’t bring harm to innocents. However, when you see him do something good? You reward him. Now you have positive reinforcement showing that certain actions have benefits. Damian is a victim of his past, but he’s also a child emulating what he knows. There’s a difference between not punishing him for being a victim, and teaching him to not create his own victims.

And that has been my unwanted and unasked for rant about the robins. Another side note, but if you create media that depicts any of the robins or Bruce, or any DC character in a negative light, I’m not telling you to stop. I can think that they don’t accurately depict who the characters are suppose to be and still love reading the angst.

thoughts on hu tao + diluc as a dynamic? (kinda like ur amber + kaeya one). i’d love to hear your thoughts and how they would potentially interact with each other :00 especially since both backstories involve losing their loved ones but they have very different takes and reactions to loss and grief. so i’d love to hear ur thoughts hehe :33

i’m gonna be honest, i don’t really know very much about hu tao in general </3 but based on my limited knowledge, i was thinking in the same direction that you were, about the parallels the two have concerning loss and grief. when i first imagined them interacting, i imagined diluc getting annoyed at her silly antics, since he tends to be more of a serious character and may not take her lighthearted attitude very well depending on the situation. but i also noticed that they have a lot in common as well… both are in a similar situation in society, where they’re respected for what they’re good at but also seen as outsiders by others. i mean, nearly every voiceline about hu tao is negative to an extent and many of the mondstadt characters don’t speak too highly of diluc either. so while i could see them in a situation where they don’t get along at all, i think they also have the potential to become one of those unlikely friendships (like xiao and hu tao, or even diluc’s one-sided respect for diona)
