Seriously- I know you love my writing and I appreciate it deeply, but please please be patient with me.

I am a masters student in her final semester. I'm behind on schoolwork because of a depressive episode. I have finals coming up. The final part of my thesis is due this week and I haven't started because I've been trying to catch up- only to be sidelined by my endometriosis which I need surgery for as soon as I graduate. I've been putting it off all semester so I can graduate on time and I am very often in pain, which has a negative effect on my schoolwork. I'm job hunting so I can have health insurance when my student health insurance runs out and I am praying I can find a surgeon quickly enough so that I can get my surgery done before then and have at least a portion of it covered. I'm moving back in with my parents because I'm flat broke, and I am constantly worried about student loan payments. I've yet to hear anything positive from the over 50 jobs I've applied to. I need to start packing and figure out a way to sell my furniture before move out day. I am doing this entirely on my own because I live alone and am paying my way through school. I have nobody in my city to help me with any of this.

I am trying my fucking hardest. I'm sorry updates are slow. Writing is not my priority right now. I am not a content machine. I am a person. Please for the love of all things holy be patient, and be gentle with me. Please.

I don’t think I really need to say it, but this entire fem-Custodes debacle is completely and utterly ridiculous.

Getting upset and worked up over certain people being allowed to exist in your fictional universe is amongst the most unpleasant ways anyone can act, and is a thoroughly repugnant type of behaviour to see in someone.

If you can’t handle women, or societal minorities for that matter, being present in the fiction you consume, then, quite frankly, you can take your bigoted, misogynistic opinion and shove it up your ugly arse, because none of us want to hear it anyway.

You’re the reason this community, and many others, get a bad name, so if you could kindly do us all a favour and come back when you’ve learned how to behave as a mature, grown-up man, rather than as a spoiled, whiny toddler, that’d be great.

Listened to the new episode of Birds of Vahalla and got really pissed that I don't know the full story of Odysseus. Like, I read Goddess Girls in elementary/early middle school, and read the full Percy Jackson and the Heroes of Olympus series in high school, and obviously, those are adaptions of Greek mythology, which is much different than the actual stories, but still. So when the story revealed to be Greek mythology, I was pissed because I remember NOTHING, and I feel so stupid 😭.

Then looked up if there were twin ravens in Greek mythology. Nope. Muginn and Huginn are NORSE mythology, so now not only do I have to find time to reread the other two series, I also need to read "Magnus Chase." I also need to continue Trials of Apollo. Too much to do, so little time!

The sexism elements are a very important part of the show. Sokka being a sexist at the beginning is important because it’s a part of his character development. He has this delusional view point of masculinity all while being ignorant about women and what they are capable of doing. He gets humbled hard by the Kyoshi warriors, especially by Suki, who mostly did all of the humbling, and that is where their relationship starts.

The sexist interactions between the water tribe water benders and Katara is in the show not just to have Katara gain a win over a man, but to prove her biggest point, which is simple: she is just as capable as the male water benders in the tribe, and she doesn’t care if she loses or wins, she is there to prove her case.

So removing the sexism in the live action show shoots Sokka’s character development in the foot, and it takes away the biggest character highlight for Katara. It would be just like them removing the genocide elements from the show because it would be too scary or too dark for kids, which would declaw the Fire Nation, especially Azula, who is the best female villain in the series.

Well i just turned 26 and i just left the family insurance and joined in on my work's insurance. I had already been with Kaiser before and around 2016 my mom switched to Aetna.

But when I was 14 I was legally allowed to create my own account with Kaiser to look at records and schedule my own visits. Even though I haven't touched this account since 2016, when I re-upped with Kaiser this account followed, username and all...

I had to call in to ask about my username and password to gain access as I had not known that I had an account at all.

The lady helping me was so sweet in that customer service insincerity as expected and was otherwise really helpful. Until she looked up my account to relay my username...

She GROANED audibly when seeing my username and slowly read back my username.

I am not allowed to change it either so no matter how old I am, and as long as I am with Kaiser. I am a jewfaggot to them. Not that at my core I ever stopped being jewish or gay.

Okay. This is probably not that controversial of an opinion, but the Danny Phantom Christmas episode sucks. And not because I have a thing against Christmas. (I do, but that's not my point here.)

It's because everyone basically bullies Danny because no one has ever made the holiday enjoyable for him and continues that trend until he basically gives up. Like, the point is "Push this distressed and stressed person to the breaking point to get them to enjoy this thing they don't enjoy."

Like the entire episode is tone deaf. Like, 10 Points for being religiously inclusive and not assholes about other winter holidays, but -1000 points for having everyone basically say "I don't know why you're so upset about this holiday that you have trauma over. Get over it."

It is just a very upsetting episode that ends with Danny burying his trauma and going "Yay! Christmas is such a fun time."
