Shoutout to people with arthritis, specially kids who have to deal with it the whole life.
It’s very hard to live with it, it’s worse without medication,
And very welcome to the disabled community.

Just found out the tax return I'm using to buy forearm crutches can take 8 weeks to get to me. Having legs can wait, I guess.
Also, the fact that I have to use my tax return to be able to walk is fucking dystopian as shit, I hate it here.

i remember being ten years old and wishing to die rather than experience the pain i was in yet still my parents and my doctors didn’t believe me. sometimes it just hits me. that wasn’t a normal experience for a ten year old, was it?

did you know that if you're about to suggest a disabled person do something or another to cure their disability, there's a feature everyone possesses but i'm sure you're unaware of it. it's this funny little thing called shutting the fuck up. hope this helps!!!!! :D

Self destructive behavior pertaining to disability isn’t talking about enough
Forcing yourself to do activities that you know will hurt your body is bad!
Making yourself not use your mobility aid when you know you need it is bad!
Not taking your medicine because you want to get worse or just don’t care anymore is bad!!!!!
I think that mental illness can definitely manifest differently for disabled people. It’s not rlly talked about because this all stuff that ableds see as inspiring or us pushing through. It is just harmful behavior.
Since every single disabled person is or has been mentally ill this stuff is just seen as normal.

Ugly Laws. Creepy coming from the word cripple. Freak shows. Fear of clowns. Bearded ladies with PCOS & intersex variations. Contortionists with EDS. Little people. “Missing links” people with Microcephaly. “Snake man” people with limb differences. Lack of welfare programs. Disability rights. All of these things are connected.

I have feelings about sidewalks.
That probably sounds weird, it's just a sidewalk. But you know how many city's do not keep up with the sidewalks properly. And the effect this has on mobility aid users. Do you know how hard it is to wheel yourself on a slightly sloped sidewalk? How about uneven bricks? The way it feels to roll over messing chunks in a sidewalk, or get your cane stuck in it.

Just realized something and I think some of you need to realize it too
Being in *any* unprompted pain means there's something wrong
you don't need to be in agonizing pain to get help, the human body isn't supposed to be in any pain
Edit:
Important!!!!!

Why can’t people understand my anger at medical professionals? I logically know it’s because they’re able bodied and have likely never had a bad experience. But why can’t they use a bit of compassion to see the problems with healthcare? Let me be angry at being treated poorly. Let me be angry about the state of our healthcare system. Let me be angry.

Needing a mobility aid but being unable to get one because of ur parents is actually so frustrating!
Sorry to all the people who r too young to get one on their own
Who can get one, but face too much pressure from their families not to
Who r told that getting a mobility aid is basically giving up
And last but not least!
One big FUCK YOU to ur ableist family
