hobbies that you can start this new year ft hobby tracker notion template pink
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As we dive into the year, now is the ideal moment to discover new interests that bring us joy, creativity, and personal growth. Whether you want to relax, go on an adventure, or simply broaden your horizons, there is a pastime for you. Here are ten intriguing hobbies to consider for the new year:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Photography: Using a camera lens, capture the beauty of your surroundings. Whether you enjoy landscape, portrait, or macro photography, there are limitless opportunities for creativity and investigation.
Pilates: is an adaptable and efficient fitness regimen that provides a rewarding pastime option that fits into every schedule. Pilates classes, which emphasize strength, flexibility, and mindfulness, can be brief but effective, relieving stress and boosting overall well-being. In my opinion, pilates truly focuses the body in a soothing but powerful way. Overall, I like it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Writing: allows you to express yourself creatively. Whether you're into journaling, fiction, poetry, or nonfiction. Writing is something I really enjoy doing. I've written poetry and begun a novel, but I constantly get sidetracked and fall off course, which is why I built the hobby tracker to help me focus on writing, which is one of my goals for the second quarter of the new year. Writing might be as simple as making cute notes, but it is quite fun and relaxing
DIY crafts: allow you to exhibit your creativity while also decorating your space. From knitting and crocheting to woodworking and painting, crafting is such a productive way to spend your time, and I really enjoy the sense of completing a craft; it feels very satisfying.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Learning a Musical Instrument: To channel your inner rockstar, learn to play a musical instrument. Mastering a musical instrument, whether it's the guitar, piano, or ukulele, can be both tough and incredibly rewarding, and the music itself is simply lovely.
Cooking or Baking: A lot of people see cooking as a chore but it's so relaxing, in the quiet of your kitchen or better yet with your friends just imagine baking, cleaning up, and eating with the people you love; it all sounds so relaxing and it can really help in the future in the instance you get really good and might even pursue it as a career.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nature Walks: Walking not only provides wellness but also allows you to explore amazing landscapes and reconnect with nature. Walking is one of the most therapeutic forms of exercise because it allows you to think and connect with yourself, and it is really peaceful.
Vlogging: For me, vlogging is more of a nostalgic activity because I enjoy going back and seeing my development and what I've been up to, but your vlogs can also be shared with the world via YouTube, TikTok, or any other site. It is a very good approach to capture memories.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Collecting: collecting merch or just anything you find interesting can be considered a hobby. For example, I want to collect Archie comics because I see a lot of people collecting manga and how it fills their shelves is so cool, I want mine to be Archie comics because I just like them and it connects with my childhood self. You can collect anything really, from toys to albums; it just has to be something you love.
Ice skating: is a thrilling and graceful hobby that offers both physical and mental benefits. Whether you're gliding gracefully across the ice or perfecting your spins and jumps, ice skating provides a fun and rewarding way to stay active and express yourself. i think it is fun
A lot of times we lose track of our hobbies and sometimes they seem too much and overwhelming so here is a futional hobby tracker to keep track of your hobbies and also add anyone you might want to dive into in the future.
You can find it through the link below.

how do limit or control my urge to write. i sometimes have studies and projects and other things due, and all i can find myself doing is working on my WIP. it’s like an itch, and all i can think about it and it’s all i can focus on. it doesn’t help that my best ideas pop up at very inconvenient times. how do i accommodate for this while not essentially bottlenecking my writing flow and ideas.
Controlling Constant Urge to Write
There are a few things you can try.
1 - Figure Out Your "High Creativity" Times
Google "daily timeblocking template" and pick one to print out or make your own. Keep this with you at all times during the day and night, and record every time these urges to write occur for about a week.
You may find that they occur at all times of day, but are more heavily concentrated during certain periods, like mornings or late at night. You might also see other patterns, like they occur more frequently on days when you don't have class or work.
Getting a "big picture" view of when these urges are more likely to occur can help you better schedule your time. For instance, you can try to schedule writing time for the periods when your creativity seems to be in higher gear. You can try to skew studying and project time for periods when your creativity isn't as urgent.
2 - Hard Schedule Your Time and Develop a Routine
Most of the time, our brains love routine. Over time, our brains can rewire themselves to be in a certain mindset during a certain period of time. So, if you can, try setting a hard-ish schedule for when you study and when you write. If you do the tracking exercise in #1, you can use that information to decide when to schedule that time. If you stick to this schedule as well as you can, as often as possible, after a while you may find that your brain has an easier time focusing on studying and projects during the alloted time. 3 - Create a Environmental Signals Specific to Studying vs Writing
Our brains respond very well to environmental signals related to routine. For example, the sun coming through your window, the smell of coffee brewing, a morning run, hot water from the shower... these are all things that--if you experience them every morning--work together to tell your brain it's time to start the day. You can do a similar thing with writing and studying to help get your brain into gear for those things separately.
If you try to study/work on projects at the same-ish time every day, that's a big step in the right direction. But there are other things you can do... try to study/work on projects in the same place, use the same lighting/ambient lighting, put on the same soft music if you can listen to music while you study. Maybe have a particular flavor of tea and a particular snack.
If you try to write at the same-ish time every day--a different time of day than you dedicate to studying/projects--that's also a big step in the right direction, but maybe you write in a different place from where you study/work on projects. Maybe you put on different lighting, different music, have a different kind of drink and snack. These are all things that will signal to your brain "now it's time to write." When you do the other things, the signal tells your brain, "now it's time to study." This helps your brain stay focused on the task at hand.
4 - Keep a Brain Dump Notebook - Another thing you can do is keep a notebook for you that serves as a place to get those ideas out of your head while you're doing other things. If an idea pops up while you're studying, you can take a few minutes to open up the notebook, jot the idea down, and then close it and turn your attention back to studying. It may take a little practice, but you can train your brain to know that once that notebook is closed, you're done thinking about it and moving back to the other thing.
I hope that helps!

Best Apps For Productivity & Studying
Tumblr media
Hello there lovelies! It hasn’t been long since I started my vacay and soon enough, school is about to start. A few days from now I’ll be entering my school as a junior, aka 3rd-year college student. Time flies fast, doesn’t it? I started this blog when I was in my junior year of high school and now I’m a college student!
Speaking of school, I have here 4 apps that I really love to use for studying and any academic-related tasks, or whenever I need to be productive. These are 4 of the best apps out there that can help you be more productive and track your progress. You can also use these apps regardless if you’re in high school or college. Another thing about these apps is they are all easy to use and navigate. Lastly, these are all free to download on IOS and Android devices.
Tumblr media
1. Google Calendar
First on the list is Google Calendar. Of all the calendar apps to choose from, this is my favorite. I have tried several calendar apps in the past and this is the only one I continue using and will use forever!
The layout is simple, easy to use, customizable, and it has a lot of features. I like that you can notify yourself multiple times for an event or task. I also like that you share an event (or calendar/tasks) with your organization, friends, and family. Another thing that I like about this app is how convenient it is because you can use it via desktop or your mobile devices.
Note: you can also add more colors for your calendar/event by clicking the three dots when hovering over a calendar, then click add custom color.
Tumblr media
2. Yeolpumta
This is probably one of my best discoveries last semester! It’s easy to use, very customizable, functional, and of course, very aesthetically pleasing.
The app itself looks very minimalist and there arent a lot of distractions. Aside from that, you can use this app for a wide range of options such as a habit tracker, study tracker, pomodoro, etc. I personally use this as a progress and study tracker. This also helps you to stay focused because it wont let you leave the screen unless you’re using one of the allowed apps, which you can also choose which to include. In addition, it also has tons of features like the timer and calculator option, a dictionary, and white noise feature as well as see the users who are also studying at that time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Notion
Notion is one of my favorite apps and I’ve been using it since I started college. I use Notion for everything! My habit tracker, expense tracker, reading tracker, journal, class schedule, to-do list, or basically my life is in here. The screenshots above is what half of my Notion dashboard looks like.
You can find lots of cool templates online or you can just create your own. It can be overwhelming at first, but once you get the gist of it, the things that you can create are endless. You may search for Alyanna Ross on Youtube because she has a lot of Notion-related videos and you can learn so much from her.
Tumblr media
(Alyanna Ross is one of my fave YouTubers so go check her out!)
As mentioned above, you can use Notion for various things, may it be for school, work, life, or productivity. You can add lots of widgets to further customize your setup and make it more tailored to your needs. Take advantage also of the tables and columns to enhance your Notion setup.
Tumblr media
4. Forest
This app is one of my faves to record how long I am studying. It’s also easy to use and can be used on your mobile devices or as a Chrome extension. It’s up to you to select the time or minutes of studying and after that, you get to plant a tree. If you stop, your tree also withers.
I honestly prefer Yeolpumta nowadays because it has more features. However, I am also after the plant a real-life tree feature of Forest and so far, I have already planted 5 trees! Sadly tho, 5 is the maximum.
----------------------
That’s all for today’s blog post, loves! I also just want to say that this is not sponsored. I personally use all the apps that I have mentioned on this post. Anyway, at the end of the day, your progress depends upon your will to take action and nothing will happen if you will not act. Nonetheless, I hope that these apps can also help you to be productive as much as they helped me. Originally posted on my Wordpress blog Aestrophilia.
Stay self and healthy everyone!

Baby, It's Halloween.
A/N: Made with the help of @foxilayde and with @alwritey-aphrodite 's marvelous taste in music in mind. I love you guys!!!!
Pairing: Jonathan Levy x Reader
Warnings: P in V, porn with plot, unprotected sex, descriptions of Jonathan carrying reader, I mean reader fucks her Professor, so., you can let me know if there is anything else, not beta read
Description: You hadn't been planning on fucking your professor. You really hadn't; sometimes those things just happen. You also hadn't been planning on him crying in your arms, but those things also sometimes happen.
Word Count: 3.1k
Additional note: if you like Jonathan Levy and also sex, read Danny's Putz and the Perv fic. If she is at all more mentally sane than me, she probably wasn't projecting onto one of the references on her resume while writing it.
Tumblr media
Why is it that Universities never give days off for Halloween? You get Thanksgiving and  fucking Presidents' day, but not Halloween? As if that weren’t bad enough, of course it lands on a Monday this year. Your busiest, boringest day of the week; Only made up for in part by Professor Levy’s class at 12:45, to which he always shows up just disheveled enough to look class time appropriate and hot.
This strays drastically from the point, though, which is this: Halloween is on a Monday this year, Halloween is a much better holiday than Thanksgiving, and you need to maintain a professional GPA if you want to keep the fantastic lineup of Pell Grants and scholarships sitting in your Financial Aid portal. It was the accumulation of all of these fascinating tidbits of information that led to you showing up to every one of your scheduled classes in a thrift-store Indiana Jones cosplay which you and your roommates had drunkenly put together Friday night.
Despite the fact that it had been made by a gaggle of drunk college students, the costume stood strong through the test of soberness. The playfully ripped up khakis, the leather fedora that for some reason you already had lying around, the linen shirt with one too many buttons undone, and the makeuped on grime all shouted “yeah dude, it’s halloween, fucking fight me about it”, but in a fun, kind of hot way. This was an opinion you had Friday night while making the damned thing, and your confidence certainly wasn’t dimmed after sitting through your first couple of compliment filled classes.
Still, sitting through your Anthropology class–the very 12:45 lecture previously mentioned, had proven to be…not as you had expected. You had still received the “bro, you look so good”’s and “Oh my god, that’s great, I should have dressed up”’s from your friends and acquaintances in the class, but you also noticed that about every 7 minutes, Professor Levy would pause his lecture on the progression of agriculture through the anthropocene to look at you. Part of you felt like you were going crazy, because no one else seemed to notice, but what you could have written off the first time kept. fucking. happening.
At first you thought that your Professor had somehow figured out that you’d been switching tabs between your notes and the videos of your friend’s cat which she had sent you, but the glances kept happening long after you’d closed the kitten tab as discreetly and quickly as possible.
Despite your urge to uncomfortably wriggle in your seat, you were still able to pay some modicum of attention, occasionally jotting down fragmented notes of “adapted land to their needs” and “Europeans destroyed ecology and then were confused when other people didn’t cuz british ppl are stupid”. You even managed to get a head start on the homework. That is to say, you got a head start on finding out the link to the homework template was broken. Either way, though, keeping busy kept your mind from jumping to conclusions about the glances.
You breathed a sigh of relief when Professor Levy finally said, “Alright, that's all for today. We don’t have class until Wednesday, but don’t party too hard.”
The class broke into chatter, jokes about “Grandpa Levy” telling you all “not to party too hard” and idle conversation about various forms of debauchery going on that night tossed around.
You turned as Marissa, the girl who sat next to you poked you and asked, “Are you going to the library today?”
You hummed, distracted. “Maybe. Don’t wait up. And don’t study too hard.” You winked with a grin as she rolled her eyes at you playfully and left the classrooms dusty walls and creaky seats, before walking up to Professor Levy’s desk. You waited patiently for the go-getters and teachers' pets to ask their questions and take their leave before gently clearing your throat behind him.
Professor Levy spun, eyes wide when he saw you there. You had never noticed the dark circles beneath them, how they so perfectly seemed to frame his face in a way that you didn’t know was possible.
“Sorry. Didn’t mean to startle you. The link for the homework is broken.” You trailed your finger along his desk, a fidgeting motion masked through the confidence of the archeologist you were imitating. It was coated in an endearing layer of dust that you had found was a common fixture of the anthropology wing, and it held Professor Levy’s school-issued laptop and an Oliver Sacks book–The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat.
Professor Levy’s brow furrowed, eye line slipping to where your finger met his table before snapping back to meet your own gaze. Apparently he believed you to be much less observant than you are, or maybe he simply can’t help himself, because his eyes roamed away from your face once more, this time to the top button of your linen shirt, the lapse of fabric where the valley of your breasts met.
Gaze snapping up again, Levy informed you, “There is no homework for Wednesday. The module likely transferred over from last semester, but I’ll make sure to fix that. Have a happy Halloween.”
You didn’t know how he did it. The man was so easily flustered, yet he spoke to you like nothing at all had transpired. It almost made you want to laugh, how this man was so clearly looking at your breasts just seconds before, and decided to just play it off as if you wouldn’t have noticed. All it took to get him blushing during lectures was teasing him for the music he played before class, but now here he was, calmly explaining that the homework assignment was canceled so you could get debauched, after so obviously staring at your breasts, and nothing?
“...okay,” you conceded, wiping the dust from your hand onto your pants before looping your thumbs in your belt loops. “Thanks.”
He resumed packing his things into his canvas bag, likely assuming that you would leave. You thought about doing just that, but– “Professor?”
Levy’s head tilted back towards you in surprise. You weren’t sure by his expression whether you’d exceeded his expectations or overwhelmed them. Either way, you continued the originally poorly planned message with, “Indiana Jones fan?”
Professor Levy’s eyes seemed to bug out from your discreet tease before he regained his own composure.
“I can’t say that the trilogy is the most accurate representation of Archeology as a study, but yeah, it’s a… pretty good film.”
You snickered, turning on a booted heel. “Happy Halloween, Professor Levy,” you called as you walked out of the lecture hall through the wooden door. There was something charming about how Professor Levy seemed to think that you hadn’t noticed the noticeably hard wood that was currently pushing against the confines of his pants.
***
You knocked on his door that night at 8 pm. Well, not his door, you weren’t some creepy stalker, but his office door. It’s not like you had been looking for him or anything, but you always cut through the anthro building to get back to your apartment when it was cold, and it was always less crowded if you went through the office area instead of the lecture hallways, and it wasn’t like you had meant to notice that his light was still on and didn’t show any signs of turning off.
So yeah, you reformed all of your Halloween plans on the way to the house party that you were actually supposed to be going to because your professor who clearly had the hots for you had to be pathetically sad to be grading papers at 8 pm on Halloween, even if it was a Monday.
When he opened the door he fit the exact image which had formulated in your mind; button-up opened a few buttons revealing a white undershirt (granted, in your head the undershirt was replaced with a glimpse of bare chest), hair messed up in a cute, disgruntled way, and papers covering his desk, not an inch of empty space.
“Trick or treat,” you playfully quipped, smirking at him from where you leaned in the doorway. After you had finished all of your classes for the day, you had opened your shirt a couple of extra buttons, exposing your black lacy bra underneath; This was something that Professor Levy clearly noticed, his eyes lingering on your chest (again) as he looked you up and down. He seemed less ashamed of it this time around. Maybe it was because he was tired, or the two of you weren’t in the middle of a lecture hall. Maybe he had finally noticed how you wanted him back.
“You don’t seem to care very much about professionalism in school environments,” Professor Levy noticed.
You shrugged. “Dress codes are for High Schools and Mormons. C’mon, stop moping, it’s Halloween–”
Before you had the chance to finish your offer, Levy cut you off with, “Who says I’m moping?”
You scoffed. “Either you’re sad or you’re boring. Anyways, as I was saying, I have blood,” you joked, pulling out a bottle of cheap wine from your satchel, “and candy, and by all means, you can stay here and be boring, or you can hang out with me so that I don’t have to be near drunk frat boys. By all means, your choice, Professor Levy, but I do hope you’ll take pity on me.”
He seemed to be weighing his options, staring at you as he decided. You smiled back at him, with only a hint of snark. “It’s a bad idea,” he said, but he seemed resigned; You knew that it wouldn’t take much more pushing to get him to cave.
“Perfect. Your place or mine? Mine is probably filled with drunk college students dressed like slutty vampires, but I’m flexible,” you joked.
Professor Levy sighed, brow furrowed. “Come on, I’m parked in Lot F.” He picked up his bag, tossing in the random knick knacks which he decided he needed, but leaving the papers. You tried to stay calm, but internally you were smiling, giggling, and punching the air. You had managed to get your hot professor to take you home on Halloween. How the fuck did you manage to get your hot professor to take you home on Halloween?
You followed him to his car, a grey prius, doing your best to keep up that suave facade that you had spent at least two years perfecting. It was a quiet walk. You weren’t sure if you should be filling the silence; It wasn’t even a particularly comfortable silence, both of you so stuck in your own thoughts. Once in the car, though, Levy turned the radio on to a soul station, which made you smile.
“Otis Redding? Not Spooky Scary Skeletons?” You teased, looking over the center console at your Professor.
“I don’t think it was me who wrote my Midterm paper on the influence of soul on the Modern Era.”
“Oh God, I think if I start thinking about school right now I’ll have a stress migraine.”
Levy chuckled. “It was the best paper I read.”
You rolled your eyes. “Yeah? is that why you looked so depressed when you opened the door, Professor Levy?”
Instead of answering, he pulled into the driveway of a beautiful culdesac suburban home that made you wonder if you really knew anything about him at all. He got out of the car, and for a moment you were worried that you had offended him, but he circled around the front of the car, opening the door for you.
He leaned in close–close enough for you to smell his cologne, the spice and leather mixing with his natural scent–and told you, “If you’re a guest in my house and I’m going to be drinking your five dollar wine, you should really call me Jonathan, Dr. Jones.”
You grinned, taking his offered hand as he led you through his door and into the house. You set your bag on the mahogany table and wandered into the kitchen.
“Wine glasses?” You asked.
“Lost all the wine glasses in the divorce,” Jonathan joked. You glanced at him, eyebrows scrunched.
“What cruel and unusual punishment,” you quipped, turning back to the cabinet above you. You never realized how little you knew about the man. He wasn’t the type to mention anything about his personal life during his lectures, and you’d never asked. You guessed that there was a lot that he didn’t know about you, too. “Luckily for you, I prefer my five dollar wine in mugs. Do you want…” You looked at the mugs you had grabbed. “Snoopy or Hello Kitty? Quite refined taste, Jonathan.”
“Definitely Hello Kitty.” Jonathan walked further into the room, leaning on the island next to where you poured the wine. “My daughter, she’s in charge of most of the mug selection around here.”
“She at her mom’s?” You asked, handing Jonathan the glass.
“You know, you’re not as subtle as you think,” Jonathan responded, tilting his glass towards you before taking a sip.
“I’m not trying to be subtle,” you remarked, sipping your own alcohol.
“What is it you’re playing at, then?” He seemed different in his own house; More confident. No longer quietly trudging about the day, but questioning your own crumbling authority.
“I’m not playing at anything, Professor Levy. Just playing.”
You paused when you felt his hand close around your wrist. It was big and warm, sending sparks of a thrilling heat down your back. “I thought I told you to call me Jonathan.”
“Just playing then, Jonathan,” you breathed. He’d been leaning closer and you hadn’t even noticed. Not until now, when your faces were mere inches apart.
“This is highly unprofessional.” He sounded like he was trying to convince himself, and failing.
“Live a little, Levy.” When he finally kissed you (your endgame the entire night, which would have seemed ridiculous and unachievable just last week) it was hard, and just rough enough, hands running along your ribcage as he pinned you against the kitchen island with his hips. When you broke away for air, he didn’t stop, mouth trailing down to your neck to suck bruises and nip at the skin there while his hands worked on opening what few buttons had still been left done on your blouse.
You started fumbling with the buttons of Jonathan’s dark red button up, gasping as he suckled into your skin. You managed to get it off, tossing it took the floor, and groaned when you saw the little patch of hair, leading down below Jonathan’s waistline.
He dragged your trousers along your thighs and onto the floor, fingers hooking your panties along with, before lifting you by your waist onto the counter. The cool stone of Jonathan’s countertop sent shivers down your spine, but that was soon countered by a lustful heat when his thick fingers found their way between your folds. They were teasing, playing you like a meandering harmony as you buried your face into Jonathan’s shoulder, his soft curls brushing your cheek and his scent overpowering your senses. Your pussy clenched around his index finger when he inserted it in, and you were half tempted to beg him for more.
Instead, you lifted your head from Jonathan’s shoulder, looking at him with lidded eyes as his finger pumped inside you. He chose this moment to add a second, just so that he could see the look on your face as he did it, breath catching and eyes rolling back.
When you managed to regain composure, you asked, “We gonna fuck on this counter, or…”
“No,” Jonathan removed his fingers from inside you so he could grab you by the hips and lift you up, leveraging your body against his with your legs wrapped around his back, “We’re gonna fuck on the couch.”
You giggled a little, licking and biting at his exposed neck as he walked the two of you to his living room couch, careful not to lose balance or drop you. He laid you down beneath him, eyes appreciating your form as his hands gently unclipped your lace bra, dragging it off so he could feel your soft skin. You leaned up as he worked at your breasts, hands working at his belt, followed by his button, followed by zipper. You smiled when your hand finally met Jonathan’s dick and he gasped, burying his face into your shoulder.
Both of you worked in silence, entangled and connected by lips and hands and warmth. You were kissing, tongue in Jonathan’s mouth as he lined himself up with your entrance. You could feel warmth building inside you, as his head brushed the sensitive bundle of nerves inside you and his calloused fingers worked at your clit. There was the familiar feeling pulling at you, tugging at your core, of lust and release, but there was something else–something less familiar–there as well. Something tense but emotional. Unexpected and painful and beautiful and incohesive in every sense of the word. You didn’t have much time to dwell on it though, breath mixing with Jonathan’s with your bodies connected in every sense of the word.
You could feel that spring that’s coiled within you snap as Jonathan’s thrusts reach a messy and passionate peak. The noise Jonathan made as he met his own release was almost a growl, and you were half tempted to laugh as you came down from your high. You didn’t, though.
The air was tense with something you didn’t quite understand until you saw Jonathan’s face. His eyes were just slightly red when he pulled out of you, your own reflection clear on the glassy surface, betraying emotions that you knew all too well; loneliness, confusion, shame. He seemed awkward and unsure, but you pulled him down on the couch, cramped for space and practically laying on top of you.
You carded your hands through his hair in what you hoped was a soothing gesture. “Hey, It’s okay, Jonathan. It’s gonna be okay.”
You didn’t know his problems—you weren’t even sure you wanted to know—but the two of you laid there, bodies connected, and it didn’t really matter. Everyone has problems. You have problems, Jonathan clearly has problems, and those problems definitely aren’t your problems to fix. But it was nice, laying on his sofa, and touching his soft curls, and knowing that for this moment in time, these few hours, neither of you need to feel so lonely.
Yeah, it’ll be okay.

how do you get that font and the word decoration? you can use coolsymbols and emojicombos for that! for the font i chose two fonts of ones that i love to use. then, i used one font for the first letter and the rest of the word another font. it took a lot of copy and pasting.
is this your template or someone else's? i took inspiration from script templates i've seen and made something of my own! i have two templates that i've made and use. if you'd like to use it, comment or dm me!

Just wanted to say first off that I love your artwork so much and it’s so fun to just scroll through. I’ve also become curious about playing 커뮤/commu (or trying to put one together) and would love to learn more about how they work.
Like for instance, how do character sheets and classes/powers work for a system that seems very open RP-based? Is there a particular omni-genre sheet or system that people often use for 커뮤? Or is that that something entirely up to the admins?
Give my love to Nero, Soren, and ESPECIALLY Charlotte
in the end it's very much like an dnd server on discord! except it's public and usually very short term (7-30 days)
essentially a commu is like a tabletop rpg with as much dice as you want, the admin team is the dm/npcs, and you recruit members based on their character sheet that they submit based on the template you make
so the foundational pillar is the admin team, which:
does all the worldbuilding, including setting boundaries and parameters for the characters
sets an event schedule and/or sets up a plot -- there's some really casual ones you go with your friend you ship your OCs with where they do couple games, and then there's one i just got out of that had time loops and also forced us to choose between executing a bunch of innocent people and completing our mission which was pretty intense
basically you are writing an rpg one-shot module! it can be as complex or as simple as you want, i've gone to ones that had stats and ones that didn't. this essentially means that you are writing a whole system! so if you want to include combat, you...are probably making a combat system from scratch, which means you usually have to also think about balance
you also probably want to determine a rating. most of the ones i went to were pg13 but there's specific ones rated R for either gore/violence or ERP
often people make a temporary website with notices, world info, rules, character sheet templates, and FAQs
the admin also moderates. if someone's being unfairly left out, you give a general warning, for example, or if someone is being an asshole you give them one strike, etc.
then you make a template for applicants and essentially pick the ones you think will make for the best story. historically, this has caused some drama. there is so much drama in commu
usually the commus that incorporated stats had specific roles (dps/tank/healer) and you had up to a certain amount of stat points that affected your skills (so a dps character might calculate their damage by idk ((attack)d6)/2) or something). so the roles would be part of the character application template, and the applicant would distribute the stats how they wanted it
so yes, in the end, the sheet is entirely up to the admin, and the applicants generally get creative within the space you create! soren, for example, had a power ranking (A), role (tank), reason for participating in the commu storyline (he didn't care but his friends did so he's doing it on their behalf) but i made up his ability (turns into a gryphon) and stuff about his family, past traumas, etc.
while the commu is running, applicants generally RP with each other and make their own relationships and mini plotlines (soren is now bffs with another character because they both lost siblings/students) but the admin administers a scheduled plot to keep things moving (nero, for example, was part of a group that went around stopping monster dungeons around the world so every week the admins would say ok they're going to peru now. and then florida.)
while commus are usually short, sometimes they have like...seasons? one of my friends ran one based on the uma musume setting and recently they did a season 2 of the same commu with new applicants
back when twitter was whole, two comms i went to also had a sparring system using a bot and keywords (so you'd type [attack] or [evade] or whatever and depending on your character's stats, which the admin entered into the bot, you'd get an automated reply that gave you the result of your actions), gacha (same as above, and also included things like...pet eggs and equipment and whatnot), a store with potions/etc., i know one that had like literal mini-rooms with pixel furnitures that people could buy through currencies earned doing daily quests or whatever....that was really intense though lmao people usually do not go that far
commus also often have like....specific disclaimers written for good reason, usually to do with code of conduct and not being bigoted/being inclusive (unfortunately female characters often get ignored in rp, and also oh my god so much casual bigotry)
TL;DR making a commu is essentially writing a whole oneshot module that you're publicly recruiting players for! honestly though it is a Lot of work setting it up and then maintaining it even for the short time it runs

hey,
idk if i should ask this but there's things really messed up for me and i really need some advice and get out of this.
*i always see many different kinds of posts about self improvement and self care and after seeing that i make many goals for myself that i will implement all of these. But i just dont know how to do these and how to start and what to start i just want to do all of the things in one day which i will never do.
*i am a high school student, this is my last year of school and also it is really important and this is the only very long vacation i got and i am very weak in studies also i have very less knowledge about many things (like i am just dumb?). My school is gng to reopen on 28 august and when my school is closed i planned various things that i will improve to do to improve myself and become a completely different person (like have a glow up). But i did nthng for like whole one month and just watched kdramas and stuff. i also have many things to study and complete stuffs.
*i jst dnt knw hw to do like planning and stuffs and do my works according to it. bcz i tried making notion templates regarding everything and do all the stuffs in one day and bcm a wonder women in one day but i did nthng. and then i deleted my whole notion page bcz i jst dk hw to do. i also tried bullet journaling that didn't work s well. i jst dk wht do everything is jst messed up.
*also i feel so embarrassing talking to someone verbally in english bcz idk i jst start saying nonsense words like i realy dk hw to speak english even though I've been speaking since i was 4.
*i am just struggling with all the aspects of my life. and idk hw to just start.
*also like i jst be scared to talk to someone or even speaking in class or anything i jst stand there being embarrased and getting weird looks from everyone in my class. no one even asks me anything bcz they know tht idk anything and everyone looks down at me like my own parents too.
*and my sleep schedule is also a mess rn. and like the whole day i jst keep making fake scenarios in my mind tht i dnt feel like i am in the prsent my brain jst gets numb and i dnt feel any thing in the present its jst like yea the prsenet is somewht gng on but i hv no idea wht is gng on i jst forget everything. this is gng on since many years. evn at school i jst dont listn to any lecturs bcz of this. i think my thinkinh capabilities has also gone. i jst forget things very easily.
*i wanna workout to remove my leg fat but i end up planning many thiings in one day like focusing my whole body this and that and then i give up that toooo.
i hope i get a reply from you :(
Hey! Just saw this part of your question.
I get what you're going through. You want to make things better, but you're not sure where to start.
If planning tools like Notion or bullet journaling don't work for you, that's fine. Try making a list or using your phone's notes section. That's what I do.
When it comes to talking in English, it's okay if you feel scared or mess up sometimes. You're being tough on yourself and caring too much about what others might say. This is something many people go through. But let's shift our attention away from others and focus on how you can handle this feeling of not being sure about yourself.
Are you truly putting effort into improving yourself, or do you give up as soon as things get tough? This matters a lot because you need to make a real commitment. If not, you'll just keep going around in circles of negativity. If you want to exercise, then go ahead and exercise. What is stopping you? Think about it? Just yourself. That is quite literally it.
If your sleep schedule is messed up and you feel disconnected, try setting a routine for sleep and doing things that help you stay present, like meditation or going for a walk.
I can tell you're feeling pretty down and everything seems gloomy right now. I understand, and it's not a good feeling. But there will come a time, and it looks like you're getting there, when you'll need to stand up and take charge of your life again.
If you really want to work on all of these things, you need to cut/stop doing all of the negative things you are doing now and only focusing on the version of you that you want to identify with. Change might feel tough, but staying stuck in one place is tough too. You get to pick which kind of tough you want to deal with.
I am going to teach you right now what you need to do if you really do want to work on yourself.
Write down things that make you feel not so good that you want to change.
Next to each item, write down how you can make these things better. For example, if you're not exercising enough, you could start taking short walks every day.
Forget the old version of you exists. Imagine you used to eat a lot of junk food and that made you feel tired. Decide that you won't go back to eating junk food even when you feel like it. You need to really have a vision for yourself and who you want to be. This is important because it will be how you motivate yourself.
Keep finding new ways to make your situation better. If you're trying to be more social, maybe you could join a club or group where you can meet new people.
Exercise and incorporate more healthy meals into your diet. Exercising will not only make you feel good but it will also help you look good.
Take care of your appearance. When you look good you feel good and vice versa. You will become more motivated and confident.
Stop procrastinating. Set realistic and achievable goals. This will help you boost your confidence as well as increase your levels of productivity and discipline.
Get hobbies. Learn new things, figure out your passions and pursue them. Live a life of purpose so you don't continue to feel like you are just floating through life.
Avoid negative content or really anything that no longer aligns with the version of you that you want to be. You want to change your life? You want to be a different version of yourself? What does that person look like? How do they act? What do they do? Your whole life should be consumed with those examples and those examples ONLY.
Learn a new skill and practice it daily. This will help you grow as a person. Develop critical thinking skills. You learn new things and become smarter. It will make life more interesting and exciting for you.
Keep promises to yourself. If you don't take care of yourself, who will? People will treat you how you treat yourself.
REPLACE NEGATIVE THOUGHTS WITH POSITIVE ONES. Pay attention to how you talk to yourself because you are listening and your mind is normalizing these ideas.
By doing these things, you can feel better, be more confident, do well in your tasks, try new stuff, have good relationships, make good choices, stay positive, and be someone others trust. It helps you have a happy life where you learn and grow while being kind to yourself and others around you <3

Navigating Nursing School with Technology
Tumblr media
Each day of a nursing student's life is intricately woven with the use of modern technologies that simplify and enhance daily routines. Mornings start with the phone acting as an alarm clock, displaying the date and time, ensuring a prompt start to the day.
Tumblr media
Being part of a hybrid/blended class demands a well-organized schedule. Apps like Canvas Student are essential for accessing and managing activities, assignments, and class schedules. The calendar app helps set reminders for crucial class timings, assignments, and exams. Meanwhile, the laptop is indispensable for note-taking, completing tasks, and conducting research, significantly optimizing the learning process. Communication with peers and professors is streamlined through Gmail, Messenger, and Viber, with virtual meetings and study groups efficiently conducted via Zoom and Google Meet.
Tumblr media
As a nursing student, quick access to information is vital. Mobile searching apps provide instant references for patient conditions, medications, and procedures. The laptop becomes a powerful tool for developing nursing care plans, creating graphs, presentations, and concept maps, often utilizing templates from Canva for efficiency. And take pictures for documentations of our everyday duties and events.
Tumblr media
For research and studies, search apps facilitate the exploration of journals, articles, and research references essential for academic papers and nursing activities. Collaboration is made seamless through Google Docs for group projects and assignments.
Tumblr media
During leisure time, reading online stories, watching movies or series, and scrolling through social media on the phone provides relaxation. Health and fitness are monitored using the Sweatcoin app to track daily steps. Online shopping (Shopee, Tiktok shop) and grocery and food purchases (Foodpanda, Grab) are simplified through these technologies, enabling convenient home deliveries. Relying on Grab, Move-it, and Google Maps if I travel alone. For financial transactions, Gcash is utilized to transfer allowances and manage online payments, especially important when studying away from family.
Tumblr media
Capturing every moments with your friends and families that become a memorable documentations of every aspects of you life. Travel, beautiful sceneries, and many more.
In summary, these technologies are integral to both academic and personal aspects of a nursing student's life, enhancing efficiency, organization, and connectivity throughout daily routines and activities.

Mulberry woods!! A nature themed template with kind of a dark and misty vibe. Parts of it it are pretty text heavy, so good for you people who like long backstories.
I’m gonna be honest I never know what to write here
Btw I scheduled this for the time I’m supposed to wake up so if everyone spam likes this maybe I’ll get to class on time for once?

S1E1-"Pilot"
This format is likely going to be very "figure it out as I go" but for now this is the template I imagine these posts will follow, me pulling together my scattered thoughts into the form of bulletpoints. Also this is a bit longer than I imagine they'll typically be. Pilots, turns out they're important.
TW: Racism, police brutality, misogyny
Tumblr media
I think its very funny that I've decided to start this analysis of middle class suburban white guys through a guy literally named Walter H. White. Nomenclature aside this guy is so prototypical American normie that its almost painful. His heavily academic background is clear from the outset, with him staring at his awards for "research contributing to a Nobel Prize". Its the kind of thing the average joe equates with unimaginable success and brilliance and yet as soon as the rest of the world wakes up around him its clear he's struggling to make ends meet. I think it's fitting he's introduced to the audience in his tightie-whities. It's a visual metaphor that works on two levels. One, he's stripped bare, this archetype taken down to its essentials and exposed uncomfortably to the light. Two, he's literally caught with his pants down. Clearly he's in over his head. Its a simple (and effective) means of garnering audience sympathy and endearment. Most of us wouldn't know how to start being a drug kingpin either.
Despite both the high octane chase sequence and the Nobel Prize accolades Walt is pretty quickly brought back down to the audience's level. He handwrings with his wife about what card is appropriate to use to buy printer paper. He clearly feels pretty unfulfilled as a high school teacher, not to mention taking on a second job where he experiences further disrespect. His life seemingly revolves around money, with most of his conversations centering around the topic. There's almost a bureacracy to their home life, with the every day minutiae of coordinating schedules paired with bill discussions, and Skyler's time as a housewife occupied by buying and selling second hand knickknacks and writing short stories for a little bonus income. They're holding down the fort. Like most Americans, however, they're one emergency away from some serious strain. And what an emergency they will get
The veggie bacon is a dark joke made darker by Walter Jr.'s offhand comment that it smells like bandaids. Its a laughably ineffectual solution to what the problem actually is. No one at the table yet realizes Walt's not going to be around long enough to really worry about things like cholesterol.
Speaking of Junior, he's another big reason I wanted to do this rewatch analysis. Naming your child after yourself is already a pretty big red flag. It indicates something that will only be drilled down on further in: Walt sees his family as an extension of his identity. Some due credit, Junior is the subject of very little disability porn in the show. There's no heroic moment of him dragging himself crutchless towards his mother or anything like that. He's a fairly average 17 year old, with the usual flippancy and ego and selfishness and kindness that comes with that territory. However, its undeniable that his cerebral palsy, at minimum in universe, is used as yet another signifier of Walt's emasculation. Instead of strong proud heir he gets a """"broken""""" one. Walt harbors those feelings himself. Him tearing the disabled parking tag off his rearview mirror as he drives home is one of those things that doesn't make Logical sense. Its not like he can be flagged for misusing the tag for parking at his own home, it would've made far more sense to take it off when he left the school without Junior. However, coming on the tail end of him being mocked by his students for cleaning their car, its clear Walt wants to tuck away any other symbols that might indicate he's lesser than. I also want to point forward to him attacking the bullies: the only thing he can think to do is answer humiliation for humiliation, bringing him low by putting him on the level of his son physically ("having a little trouble walking there?") as a punishment. This doesn't change the fact that on a literal level it was probably pretty good for Junior to see his dad punch out some assholes on his behalf. But it does establish a subtext that Walt regards Junior's cerebral palsy as a punishment of some kind
The party scene is a great establishment of Walt's in-laws as our current in-universe standards for gendered performance. Marie snidely remarks on Skyler "showing a little" and Hank's entire scene is nothing but a series of jabs at Walt's masculinity. What I want to zero in on here is the fact that Hank projects a particular kind of blue collar masculine sensibility (as opposed to Walt with his "brain the size of Wisconsin [which] we won't hold...against ya"). He positions himself as a working stiff. Despite this its clear from the house that Hank and Marie are doing a lot better than Walt or Skyler.
This is further expounded on when Walt goes on a ride-along. Which apparently you can just....do. Hank is all jokes and bravado, swaggering up with functionally a fully armed squadron to take down one twenty something guy unaware that they're coming. He gives off the impression of being unrattleable. However, based on the way Hank reacts to Tuco later on, its honestly unclear how much active combat action Hank's actually seen. Not without 10 armored guys going in before him.
Final Hank note. I rarely see discussions of his racism. Little surprising considering how loud and constant it is. Perhaps it feels softened by Steve Gomez there, but the fact of the matter is this is a cop joking blithely about the high numbers of brown people he's arrested and anticipates arresting. Emilio Koyama being half Asian literally doesn't fit into Hank's worldview. He instead has to insist on "at least half a b**ner". This is all so loud and in your face that I have to assume its doing something with this.
After the disastrous handjob on his birthday (god that scene is well done) I think its notable that Walt's first glimpse of his future protege/victim is paired with him stumbling around post coitus. Eroticism being paired with criminality is a major theme in the BBCU and it starts here with Walt ogling the neighbor lady's tits and Jesse's half naked body rolling around off the roof. Its the contradiction at the heart of the character. Crime may be dangerous and the odds may be against you...but to the repressed suburban dad it's nonetheless titillating.
Jesse's own whiteness is worth focusing in on here. Despite the frequent AAVE usage and his pretenses of getting his education from "the STREETS, yo", Jesse's background is a lot closer to someone like Walt than Emilio. His family is also comfortably suburban, enough to want to pretend their burnout son functionally doesn't exist. The fact that Walt found his aunt's address on file makes it likely Jesse inherited her house either in senior year or shortly after, immediately jumping from his parent's home into another house in a nice neighborhood. The "street talk" seems to be an affectation, though likely one that's gone on long enough for it to verge on authentic. Notably, he dials it the hell up when he's around someone like Krazy-8, who he feels a need to perform for (lot of "ese"s and other Spanish tossed around that he doesn't often use when he's speaking to Walt). I think its worth questioning if this is authentic codeswitching, or a performance of a particular kind of (brown) masculinity that Jesse feels called to give in order to fit his mental image of a what a "gangster" is.
Whether or not the language is his authentically its definitely policed. Walt expresses a lot of aggravation with how Jesse talks, for the frequent slang and the imprecise wording. To someone like Walt, who prizes intelligence and education as a sign of worth, someone who says things like "cow houses" can't be worth very much at all.
And speaking of policing, Miami Vice reference brings me neatly into the discomfort Walt feels with addicts. Despite literally planning to profit off of them he nether wants to be involved in the sales process or let Jesse use it. There's a business reason of course, that its just smart not to use the product when it eats out of your profits. But it also starts us on the path of exactly how Jesse is going to be treated as a "junkie"
