"You know what I don't get? The 'Daddy? Sorry.' thing," you told Natasha as you waited for Bucky to join you at the cafe for lunch. It was a beautiful day to sit outside. "Is it bad that I don't get it?"

"Not bad," Natasha replied, cocking an eyebrow at you and not questioning the out of the blue topic. "But what exactly are you not getting?"

"I guess calling a guy 'Daddy'," you shrugged, adding air quotes for good measure. "I've never done it."

"So, you haven't called Bucky 'Daddy'?" she smirked.

“No, I haven’t. I just said I haven’t called anyone that,” you said, holding your chin high when her expression didn’t change.

If there was one thing you appreciated about Natasha, she never made you feel dumb or embarrassed for any candid discussions you had with her. Even when she teased you, it was all in good fun. Bucky liked that the two of you became friends, though he preferred to be your main confidant. You felt the same way about him.

“But he isn’t just anyone.”

“I know,” you smiled, glancing around to see if he arrived yet. “He’s special.”

My future husband. I just know it.

“And you’re special to him, too. Can’t have Stud without Smartie,” the redhead said as you smiled more. It was nice to hear that. “Okay. In your mind, how would you describe a Daddy?”

You snorted a bit because you couldn’t believe this was where the conversation went. Well, you brought it up. You should’ve known your friend would ask questions. She did have a way of getting people to talk.

“Besides handsome?” you asked, getting a nod in agreement. You had to think about it before you continued. “I guess someone protective and maybe a bit dominant? Not in a controlling way, but in a ‘I want to take care of you’ kind of way.”

Bucky was the most protective person you knew. It wasn’t just physically standing up for you if he felt the need to step in and defend you. He cared about your mental well-being and feelings. And while he didn’t mind you taking the lead, he was very much the more dominant of the two of you. No matter what, you knew you were his number one priority in and out of bed.

“Go on,” she urged, taking a sip as she kept her neutral gaze on you.

A small smile touched your lips as you adjusted the hoodie you were wearing. It was Bucky’s, of course. “And I guess it can be playful and affectionate, like I want to tease him. Can you imagine if I called him that in front of everyone?” you asked, giggling as you pictured a couple of expressions he might give you from hearing the nickname. “But it’s also vulnerable, in a way, because it might sound awkward if I say it and he may not like it. What matters is that I trusted him enough to say it though and he might like it.”

I trust him to tell me the truth.

“Why do you think he’d like it?”

You looked at her without an ounce of shame. “Because it's that extra bit of assurance that I’m his.”

But it also says he’s mine, right?

Natasha gave you a rare wide smile. “Sounds like you understand it just fine.”

As if he sensed the two of you were discussing him, Bucky came into view. If your friend heard you whimper, she kindly didn’t call you out on it. Maybe she was used to you gazing at Bucky Barnes like he was a work of art that you had the privilege to touch.

Your brain tried to tell your eyes to quit looking at him like a creep, but you didn’t blink. You just stared at your man and tried not to drool as you took in his tight blue sweater and pulled back hair. His stance and size screamed “power” and you suddenly wished he’d bend you over the table and take you right there. There was also a softness about him that made you want to burrow in his arms and never leave.

Daddy? Sorry. Daddy? Sorry. Daddy? Sorry. OH. I fucking get it now. Is this a new kink unlocked? Wait, is it a kink?

“Call him ‘Daddy’ and I’ll pay for lunch,” Natasha offered as Bucky spotted you both and headed to the table.

“That’s a conversation for Daddy and I to have first,” you joked.

And knowing Bucky, he’d be happy with whatever you called him.

After the second titan war ended, Percy started to value some things way more than he did before it all went down

Or Pan. the god of the wild had practically died in front of him, telling him and his friends that the future of nature, of the world they lived in was actually in their hands. Everyone had to do their part for it to survive

He had to pay them back somehow, honor them

So that’s why he was THRILLED when the first Hestia kid arrived on camp after he made the gods promise they would claim all of their kids and send them to camp Half Blood, where all of the gods would have cabins for their descendants

This was his chance to pay back Hestia for her help!! So he promptly asked Chiron to mentor the new girl and teach her what she needed to know about self defense and sword fighting, since she was practically his age and had to survive until now with the mortals without proper training

In fact, how did you manage to do that anyway?

He didn’t really know, but he felt he was the best man for the job. His sword fighting skills were unmatched, only bested by Luke’s

So, not gonna lie. He was kind of waiting to show off his skills on your first lesson and help you with whatever you needed

He told you he would first show you some hand to hand combat moves before y’all could move on to sword fighting, to which you shrugged it out, being cool with it

Too cool even, you seemed super comfortable with it 🧐

“Okay. First, I’ll come at you slowly and you can try and stop the blow however you feel is right. This will be kind of a warm up to start things off. But don’t worry, I won’t actually hurt you, if you feel uncomfortable in any way, please let me know okay?” He said, smiling kindly at you while taking an offensive stance

You nodded, waiting for him to start

He slowly swung at you, being careful to not scare you out

Imagine how completely and utterly bamboozled he was when he found himself lying on the ground, the arm he swung at you now twisted and pressed on to his back, just enough to keep him on the ground

And you were like 😄 so what’s next?

That was honestly so impressive that when you offered a hand to help him get back to his feet, his cheeks where slightly flushed

He cleaned his throat, fixing his camp Half Blood necklace back into place

“Okay so I guess you’ve got that part covered” He said, giving you his signature sarcastic smirk

You let out a small laugh in response, explaining to him that you actually loved martial arts and that stuff came easy to you

He was completely fascinated, asking you to help him better his hand to hand combat skills after you guys finished

That was the start of a kind of chaotic friendship between the two of you. You helped him better himself in your area while he gave you sword fighting lessons

You weren’t really a fan of it but Percy was so talented and so patient while teaching you that you were winning sparring duels in no time

Y’all were a power duo in capture the flag for sure. You knocked people out and Percy wouldn’t let anyone get even slightly near you with riptide

You knew some strategies in theory from some books you had read and Percy knew how to put them into action

You always ranted to him about art in general, he didn’t really understand most of the things you told him but he always listened attentively, even memorizing some of your favorite artists to get you stuff related to them when he went home for the school year

One time, Percy took you to the bottom of it, putting an air bubble around you both so you could see how beautiful it was underwater

This is for most of the anon questions I got!

I actually haven’t considered that! Part of me wanted to say accents aren’t a thing in Unova, but then I remembered the infamous nugget bros...and their catchphrase “nuggetabout it!” It just makes me wish every single character in Unova was heavily accented in all variations. But to answer the question, I haven’t given it any thought at all so I can’t say!

I’ve answered this before I think? But my point remains the same. My art of them features them exclusively in a platonic way! However, I don’t mind the ships, and I don’t mind people seeing it in such a way. I get comments all the time where people joke about “Elesa and her two malethings + her gf Skyla” Hell even I joke about it sometimes. But it’s all in good fun.

I’ll be cynical for a second: From what I’ve noticed (this is a small observation, not a factoid) I think a lot of submas fans are new to Pokemon…so are maybe not used to gamefreak being huge disappointments yet. 😩 in my experience, they tend to drop lore or plot points and then ignore them for years.

Hahah, I haven’t really given it much thought, but I genuinely believe that three of them are some of the toughest trainers in Unova. I would say they got far enough to reach victory road. The twins’ talent speaks for themselves being battle facility bosses, but Elesa is nothing to sneeze at either. Since i like to HC them as childhood friends, it only feels fitting that Elesa was not only able to keep up with the twins, but probably bested them several times.

Maybe some daaaayyy….i love Adaman’s design (even if wayyy to many of the charcters are wayyy to pale eeergh)

Im always thinkin to myself i need to have comic ideas in order to draw certain characters. But I forget I can just … draw them……without giving them a reason to be. SO maybe someday haha! Im glad you like the way I drew him though lol!

It’s not so much that its canon (don’t believe much has been confirmed about them except they are clown inspired and have receding hairlines) but it’s apparent and obvious. I would dare say it’s not even debatable, but with these sort of headcanons, you have to consider that the people that feel strongly about it are more likely autistic themselves and therefore know more about the subject.

I recommend reading posts by @/1863-project! They go into detail about every detail and honestly it’s allowed me to learn a lot about how to write the characters!

Personally. I don’t think either of them gets mad often. Frustrated, annoyed, and cranky maybe…but all the way angry?

Kind of interesting to think about. I’m unsure if I’d describe it as scary. More so intimidating because it’s so rare to witness!

I’m reminded of how passively Ingo handled Melli’s fuckery…his customer service voice fell back in time with him. It can be attributed to his politeness, but it certainly takes a great level of patience. So yeah, honestly, I think Ingo would never allow anyone to see him completely angry. Similarly for Emmet, even though he does tend to be more expressive.

I am always down to yell about these games let’s go

1.) Your favorite season, & why?

For the longest time I would have insisted that S1 and TFS were tied for my favorites but as I replay the games more I’ve definitely found myself leaning more towards TFS! There’s just so much I love about it from the Gameplay to the Art style to the Little details like the writing on the walls of the school and the Fucking PARALLELS Ugh I could go on for hours 😩.. The fact that both of her love interests have really good chemistry with her in the short time we have with them? The fact that they managed to deliver a season like that when telltale literally passed away halfway through production?? Absolutely phenomenal. You can just feel how much the developers love the story and love Clementine:,) I really love how they wrapped up her story and of course when I played it for the first time I cried like a baby which twdg hadn’t made me do since s1 so that’s something!

5.) Favorite survivor group? (Cabin, Garcia's, The School, ect.)

This may be obvious from the last question but the school is by far my favorite survivor group! It was so refreshing to see the people around Clementine make an effort to accept her as she was, a traumatized teenage girl trying her best to survive and protect the people she loves! A human being! After two straight seasons of grown ass adults dragging her into horribly dangerous situations and directly blaming her for deaths and bad scenarios that were always gonna be out of her control, not making any room for her to deal with her own issues or outwardly process her emotions without lashing out at her for.. acting her fucking age lmao… to watch the kids around her open up about how the adults in their lives had fucked them over and left them for dead I realized that it was the perfect group and that I couldn’t imagine a better ending for her!

Weirdly enough the scene that comes to mind for me right now that I got overly emotional about the first time I played it is the scene in which Marlon helps her confront her fear of dogs and get closer to Rosie. It really hit me in that moment how long it had been since we got to see her process her own shit in an accepting environment and I defs got choked up. Even knowing what happens with Marlon later on I really appreciated this moment from him and it was one of the moments that stuck with me in the time waiting for episode 2 to drop!

I'm having an awful week.... So here's random facts about me and this beautiful fucking hoe of mine 😩😩:

Shorter and I would get so high or drunk off our faces, we end up slow dancing to upbeat club music at a rave party

Learnt to get around New York City because of him

Shorter does the cooking coz he can't stand bland boiled vegetables and meat... not my fault it's good for you SHEESH =3=

He likes my baking at least.. and he's suprised that it ain't bland XD

During art school, I couldn't stop drawing him. (Also true irl, I will admit. Except art school being in America. I never left this oversized island before XD) And honestly still can't stop.

We argue over which consoles better. He prefers Playstation while I prefer Xbox.... then Ash slam dunks us with PC having mods, 4K and more games. Like bruh.

I call his motorcycle Red Steed

Shorter chose the gamer tag "The BFG" Which I've mistaken for as "The Big Friendly Giant"... but he was referring to the weapon in DOOM 4/ Eternal "The Big Fucking Gun" And of course he changed it after that convo XDD

Out of all of Shorter's friends, I can't get along with Ash. Simply because every game he touches beats my high score and I have to spend all day and night trying to reclaim the dozens of high scores =-=

Shorter would definitely hate my dad, especially while my dad's drunk and wouldn't hesitate to beat his ass. And he doesn't need my permission to either. Someone needs to knock some sense into that fool when he gets like that.

I swear Shorter teaching me Chinese and making me say it after him is his plan to kill me with embarrassment. But he convinced me he's being genuine by letting me teach him Te Reo... now I understand why he likes making me nervous XDD

Ngl I love it when he's emotional or sensitive, its so fucking sweet

I've met Nadia and she's so fucking cool, I love it when she talks about every single embarrassing story she has of her brother.. but Shorter hates it. Probably why he doesn't like hanging around his sister while I'm there, if he had to stay then he's probably thinking "Wow, they're bitches from different witches alright."

He never admitted that he was in a gang yet and I haven't admitted that I have PCOS, Diabetes type 2 or Hypertension... coz I have no idea what he'd do if he finds out this whole time we can't have a kid so easily or at all if it was ever decided ^^;... then again, what would I be thinking if he told me he leads a whole mafia and killed people before? o3o;

I play Fortnite and he hates seeing it on the TV almost every... Fortnite 👀 (bad pun ik XD)

Between me and Shorter, I'm mostly terrible to sleep with. I kneed him hard in the butt once in our sleep and now we have a pillow barrier between us.. still gotta get use to sharing a bed XD

I hate it when he watches me draw coz he knows I'm always drawing him

It was a surprise to me that he could do graffiti art and shamelessly flawless at it, but he has no idea why I'm making such a big deal out of it

I appreciate how he likes to talk about his culture, means he's closer to home than we think. Me? I rather be far from my home as possible tbh XD

If I had to explain how I fell for him, it was like a honey bee to a sweetpea... meaning his purple hair caught my attention like a colorful flower to a bee. And the flower turning out to be the sweetest of them all

Oh I love the manga version just as much, but he won't get my attention as easily no doubt, unless he approaches first, then hell yeah.

I never believed Shorter's his real name and he believes Nature isn't my name either XD

I can't remember (or haven't decided o3o) where our first kiss was but it was either at a party or at the old Freedom Tunnel

Speaking of first, we didn't know each others exsistance until we glance across the road

she clearly doesn’t have a genuine interest in hyunjin’s hobbies and passions, which are important to him and a vital piece of him, and i’m just over here wondering how she thinks that’s gonna work out for her in the long term.... you can’t fake a relationship, well i mean you can, but not if you want an authentic match made in heaven like she seems to desire. i hope someone comes to their senses and talks to her, preferably y/n bc she needs to look out for hana’s heart as her best friend, if not hyunjin’s too as he’s not just an acquaintance anymore, because neither of them deserve.... whatever is going on here. i mean, we don’t know yet what hyunjin’s intentions are for the relationship, if hes also looking for long term or just going with the flow, but either way, hana is not the one for him (obviously, because you didn’t write her to be). he said he wouldn’t hurt hana (at least i think that’s who he was talking about), so i’m curious as to how this is gonna play out.... i’m sure whatever happens, you’re gonna write it so beautifully😭

i think as well that hana’s used her energy focusing on her romantic relationships (past and present) rather than on being observant and a good friend to y/n, which makes me sad. i’m glad y/n has felix though, even if he’s being a jealous bean rn💛

um.... also we love minho the menace. i mean i had to stop and breathe deeply because i was as nervous and embarrassed for what he was gonna say as y/n, but..... dare i say..... he’s useful in progressing the plot✨ if only slightly✨ i could be wrong, bc you didn’t give a direct hint (that i know of), but i’m hoping hyunjin, as the smart, observant boy he is, caught on to what minho was saying. because i really think hyunjin remembers y/n too, whether he’s as sentimental about it as her or not.

..... just thought about the fact that if earlier at the chateau y/n had chosen to ask hyunjin if he remembered her, and he did catch on to what minho was saying at the diner..... boyohboyohboy🤪 the mortification–i can feel it. silly goose y/n hours, for sure. she’d be regretting every decision to open up to anyone she’s ever made.

lastly, i just wanted to point out that i noticed and appreciated the purple pin that was holding up that art piece💜👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨 little foreshadowing there?? i hope🥺

as always love you and your writing. i want to live in the slwy universe so bad😩 the way you’ve described everything like settings and people is so !!!!!! ugh, i don’t have the words. it’s so easy to get immersed in the story each chapter. and i just see so much of myself in the way you’ve written y/n, but she’s living my dream😭 when is it my turn?🤨 but yeah. you’re just so talented jade, i don’t know how else to put it. i might’ve said something like this before but i feel like i need to tell you a hundred times because i don’t want you to ever doubt yourself. thank you for being so creative and sharing that with us. so cool of you lol 🤍

hi anon ! don’t worry your butterflies will come back in chapter 5 😘 im glad you want hana to be happy, but also dislike her 😭 understandable. she definitely does want a match made in heaven but also seems to believe that it means everything will fall into place with no real effort from her side. that’s probably why she isn’t too interested in knowing more about hyunjin as a person. yes! hyunjin’s intentions are unknown too at this point.

we will see if hyunjin caught onto minho’s conversation or remembers yn…👀 that would definitely have been so embarrassing for her if she asked hyun that and then the minho conversation happened ! its a good thing it didn’t right 🤪 so glad you noticed the purple pin 📍

Hello, February. Aace Speedster 🐺🐶⭐ asked me to draw a comic based on his relationship story with May 🐰👊💥, a friend of the Speedsters Family. So, why not! 🙂 After all, "Valentine's Day" is coming up within few days. 💘💌 So, let Aace do the talking. The floor is yours. 😊

Aace 🐺🐶⭐: A thank yew (you), cweator (creator). 😊 And Paw-llo, everyone! 😄 I'm hewe (here) to show ya my welationship (relationship) story with May 🐰👊💥. So, hewe we goes! 😄

IMPORTANT NOTE: Despite how lazy person I am 😩🥱, I decided to make something different for the coloring. And that's inspiring a Game Boy color style. 🎮🖌️🙂

Comic 1 & 2:

Aace 🐺🐶⭐: It was snowy day, and I saw May dwinking (drinking) her nice cup of cocoa, so I hide myself fwom (from) the bushes with my guitaw (guitar) gifted from her 😳🎸. I was vewy newvious (very nervous) and blush, so I decided to take a bweath (breath) for a moment, while I was wemembewing (remembering) some few music lessons via videyow tutowial (video tutorial).

Comic 3 to 5:

Aace 🐺🐶⭐: Aftew (after) my bweak (break) fwom the bushes, I wrise (rise) up & I begin to pway (play) my guitaw with a simple swipe; May heaws (hears) my music stwings (strings).

Comic 6 & 7:

Aace 🐺🐶⭐: May tuwn (turn) around her head, and she saw me waving, and then I intwoduced (introduced) to myself. May appweciates (appreciates) me holding a guitar that she gifted me from Chwistmas (Christmas).🎁🎸😄 With that, I must commenced my own musical note to impwess (impress) her. 😁 Even though, I'm not a fan of music, I'm only gewd (good) at auto mechanics and scientific stuff fwom my pawents (from my parents). 🤔

BTW: Me 🇵🇭: I uh... I draw a different version of his guitar compare to A-Pal's version, but let's pretend to be the same.

Comic 8 & 9:

Aace 🐺🐶⭐: I cwear (clear) up my thwoat (throat), tuning my guitaw befowe (guitar before) I sing my song while pwaying (playing) my guitaw as I can! 🎶🎸 I didn't see May's weactions (reactions) 😖, though. But, I pwedict (predict) that she's not impwessed my new talent. I guess?

Comic 10 & 11:

Aace 🐺🐶⭐: Suddenly, my guitaw stwings (guitar strings) snaps entiwely (entirely), unable to play it. 😨 Yeah, I was vewy shocked because I'm not built to song or pwaying musical instwuments (instruments). I told ya... 🙁

Comic 12 & 13:

Aace 🐺🐶⭐: On the pwus (plus) side, I was vewy good spiwit (spirit) from my inexpewience (inexperience) music, and May gave me a decent thumbs up fow (for) my effowt (effort). 😊👍 She offwered (offered) me a nice cup of cocoa fwom a hot cocoa stand, and then we chat to talk about related things, ouw pewsonality (our personality), and mowe (more) while looking at the beautiful scape on wintew (winter) season. 😋☕🍫

Aace 🐺🐶⭐: Looks like, I'll be sticking with my pewsonal (personal) skills rather than pwaying music, so I'm not gonna thwow (throw) my gift from her. I'll dispway it in my bedwoom as a wemembwance (remembrance).😉🎸 So yeah, that's the end of my stowy (story). Thanks fow listening! 🙂

Appearance: Wavy caramel hair - it’s a mess but I like it, deep cheekbones, dark eyebrows. I always wear oversized, “luxurious” (fluffy and velvety), dark retro clothing and chunky heels. I’m very short (5’2)

Personality: Blunt - no sugar-coating, easy-going and easy to be around.. I prefer to let things be imperfect rather than micromanaging everything..

Open-minded and dirty-minded. I’ve a heavily alternative, multicultural background and people being different or “flawed” doesn’t bother me. kinda mellow in some ways but hotheaded in others.

Somewhere between an introvert and extrovert; while I like to be alone, I’m not shy and can talk for hours if in the right mood. I’m pretty private when it comes to myself, though, and don’t open up unless I’m comfortable with the person. Saying that, flirting comes kinda natural to me..

First off, I think Sammy would love your original style and flair! He’s such a diva like that 😩✌️😊 Personality wise, Sammy needs a good counter weight. With you being more straight laced, that might teach him to advocate for himself more often. It reminds me of that whole meek guy won’t tell the waiter he asked for no pickles on his sandwich and bold girl will speak up for him scenario 🤣 You need to take care of Sammy boy! If he doesn’t want pickles, dammit send it back!!!! 😂😂 That’s me just being a goof of course, but on the other hand he’d jive well with your laid back approach to life. He truly just wants to have fun and share that with everyone.

“Open and dirty minded” screams Sam 🤣🤣 As philosophical as some people make all the boys out to be, they truly are just like 12 year old boys. Laughing over fart noises, cracking dirty jokes, and hazing on each other constantly. That’ll come with Sam, so buckle up for the buffoonery! Something tells me you’ll gladly deal with it 👍

You’re middle ground of introversion and extroversion speaks to Sammy. He often is so light hearted, glowing, and happy that we tend to overlook his intelligent, ambitious, and tame side. I’m certain there are many people that would speak to those characteristics. As well as entertaining you, I think he’d stimulate your brain with teachings and discussions about substantial topics (then stimulating other things along the way— 😉)

I think Sammy and you share cooking as a love language! I’m certain there would be many nights spent in the kitchen; goofing, dancing, and singing all to create a delicious meal made with love! To wrap that night up, I could see you guys painting each others bodies and creating art whilst— y’know ☺️

“Ay, Agustín. Are you alright?”

The back of his head was throbbing in pain. His wife’s voice sounded like a faraway dream. And he could feel the start of a goose egg forming where he hit his head on the tile. He doesn’t even know what he tripped on for heaven's sake!

Agustín looked up through his messy fringe and a fiery blush immediately crossed his cheeks - not from his embarrassing fall in front of the family, but from the sight of his wife in front of him.

She stood there with her hand out to him and wearing … his suit?

His heart skipped a beat. He’s seen his wife wear his clothes before but that had usually been just his button ups or underwear. Something casual that she could toss on when she wanted to lounge around their bedroom. Now that she was wearing the whole ensemble … well.

He didn’t know what to say.

Julieta helped him to his feet without escaping her gaze. He didn’t hear what Bruno said to make Pepa strike him with a bolt of lightning but it was probably well deserved. In a dazed state, he eyed his wife up and down, curious, aroused, and a little confused on what was going on with her and her siblings.

“Does this mean I get to wear your dress now?” He asked, raising an eyebrow.

Julieta broke into a laugh, not able to keep a straight face.

“Yes, me too! Pepi, give me one of your dresses!” Félix jumped with glee, clapping his hands together in front of him. Pepa playfully rolled her eyes at him.

“You do realise that none of them would fit you?”

Félix scoffed. “But I’d look freaking amazing!” He grabbed her tiny wrists with his big hands and began to pull her towards the stairs. “Come on! Let’s at least try!”

Pepa chuckled, letting him drag her along. “Ok, ok. We can at least try.”

The two resorted upstairs in a fit of giggles and laughter and slammed the door shut behind him. There was a loud clicking sound of a lock that the siblings vividly heard but chose to not comment on.

“Well, I guess she won’t be needing this back anytime soon.” Bruno commented, fanning out the skirt of the dress with his hands. His hair became dishevelled when Pepa struck him earlier and the dress seemed to fit him oddly well. In a way, he did look like Pepa on her more stormy days.

“I’m going to go to wash this thing before I give it back to Pepa. I farted in it a couple of times and I don’t think she’ll appreciate the smell it left behind.”

Bruno walked off to his room with a swagger in his step. He clearly enjoyed wearing his sister’s clothes and felt more than comfortable picking the wedgie as he waddled up the stairs in a true brotherly fashion. When he disappeared from the foyer, Julieta looked to Agustín.

“Did you… actually want to try on one of my dresses?” She asked bashfully.

Agustín was surprised by her shyness. She tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear and didn’t make eye contact with him. He wasn’t sure why she was so apprehensive, but he knew a good laugh would bring her back to her usual self.

“Of course!” He exclaimed. “Let’s follow suit and try one on now. I think I just pulled your nice blue dress out of the wash last night.”

“Oh, Agustín. I need to wear that for Dolores’ dinner tomorrow.”

He shrugged. “It’s fine. I won’t dirty it.”

“Dirtying it is the least of my worries.”

Agustín ignored her concerns and reached for her hand to lead them to their bedroom. Once the door was shut behind them, he plopped himself on the bed like a giddy child and clicked his feet together.

Julieta began searching through her closet, searching through racks of handmade clothing for her dress. She reached up on her tip-toes and had her tongue between her teeth as she searched, and Agustín leaned back and admired the view. If he looked that good every time he wore that suit, he wondered how Julieta wasn’t on him all day. Even though he was taller than her, the pants bunched above her ankles to reveal that she wore his mismatched purple socks that Mirabel made for him. He was surprised that she even found those since he always hid them in a special place.

She finally pulled out the blue dress and looked at it longingly like she might never see it again. “Promise me you won’t rip it?”

Agustín gasped. “I would never! I know how long it took you to make that! Hand it here,” he held out his hands for her. Julieta made a careless laugh and tossed it over. She swapped seats with him and lay flat on the bed so her head was facing the ceiling, covering her eyes with her hands. “I don’t want to see until it’s on.”

“Well, then you’re going to miss the best part,” Agustín laughed. He began undoing his tie and unbuttoning his shirt, eyeing his wife to see if she really wasn’t looking. When she didn’t budge when he took off his trousers, he huffed out an annoyed breath and began to fiddle with her dress. There was no zipper or buttons so he tried pulling it on over his feet, but the neckhole was too small for him to get his knobby knees through. He tried a new technique of removing one foot and seeing how far up his leg the dress would go, but hopping around on one foot made him lose his balance and he screeched as he fell over onto the floor with a big thud.

Julieta sprang up and looked at her darling husband lying on the floor. She shook her head. “Do you need help?”

He nodded his head in defeat. “Yes please.”

Julieta sighed amusingly and got to her feet. “Take it off and stand up.” She demanded.

Agustín did as told and removed the entangled dress from his feet. He held the dress out in front of him and she took it and began bunching it at the bottom. “Lift your arms up.”

He lifted them and examined Julieta’s technique of tossing the dress over his arms and sliding it down over his head. He thinks he’s seen her put her clothes on like this before but he’s not usually watching where the dress goes but rather what it covers. She helped him slide his arms through the elbow length sleeves, running her fingers along his skin. Then, she made her way down to his torso and fixed the fitted seam that would sit around her waistline but rested at the top of his stomach instead. Agustín shivered when she traced the seam with her fingers, pushing into his skin slightly.

Next was the skirt itself. It fell nicely around his boxy frame but the length only reached his calves due to his towering height. Julieta got down on her knees and began fanning out the ruffles, delicately lifting the fabric in the air and letting it fall back into place. On the last toss, she let the skirt fall over her head as she began to work on the inner lining layer. The thin, silky fabric got tangled around his waist so she began to pull at it, knuckles brushing against the skin above his underwear every so often. Agustín tried not to move while she worked but there was something about the sight of his wife underneath his dress that made his stomach get butterflies.

And just as soon as they came, her hands were gone in an instant. His skin felt cold at the loss of her touch. She emerged from the material and went back to fiddling with the ruffles. Once done, she leaned back and rested her hands on her knees, eyeing her work, lost in thought.

“Well, how do I look?” He asked with a hint of eagerness. Julieta rose to her feet, not looking impressed. His expression immediately dropped. “Uh oh. What’s wrong? Did I pull a seam somewhere?”

“Mmm, no,” she hummed. “I’m just disappointed that you look better in that dress than me.”

Agustín threw his head back and laughed. “You can’t be serious!”

“I am! Casita,” she clapped her hands together. “Can you bring us the mirror please?”

The room shook as the door for Agustín’s closet flew open and the tiles moved the body length mirror into the middle of the room. He turned around and looked at his reflection. That same, throaty chuckle returned when he saw how ridiculous he looked.

“Oh jeez, Julieta. I can see why you didn’t want me wearing this dress. It looks horrible!”

“What do you mean? You look so handsome! I especially love the exposed calves,” she bent down and slapped his hairy legs, causing him to jump.

“Hey, be careful! I thought you didn’t want me ruining your dress,” he laughed, running his hands down the ruffles to fix them.

“It’s fine. Maybe we should wear each other's clothes more often,” she said, joining him in the mirror. She wrapped her arm around his waist and stood up straighter, trying to match his height.

“I’m not sure.” He mused, pulling her closer. “I like the dress, but it’s a little drafty down there. What happens if there’s a big gust of wind?”

“You’ll get used to it with having Pepa around,” she waved him off. “But I don’t think I'm giving this back anytime soon. I kind of like the way I look,” she ran her fingers down the length of her collar and puffed it out to emphasize her point. “And these trousers are much comfier than I had imagined.”

“I like the way you look too, but unfortunately, I’m going to need all of that back.”

She shook her head. “No thank you.”

He raised an eyebrow. “No thank you?”

Julieta nodded. “No thank you. I think I'll hang on to this for a little while longer.”

Agustín puffed out some air. “Alright. Then I’ll just have to wear this to Dolores’ dinner. Hopefully there will be dancing, I need to stretch it out in some places…”

Julieta scolded him and hit him on his arm. She tried to look stern but her annoyance only made him laugh harder.
