Since leverage Redemption s3 and the new Librarians spin-off are filming at the same time, Jake and Eliot's hair are probably going to be pretty similar, which raises the question:

hii first of all i love your writing and im so glad i came across your fics 🖤 i was wondering if you could maybe write a johnnie x fem reader, enemies to lovers fic? or something along the lines of johnnie and fem reader always bullying each other a bit only to realise they've been crushing on each other the whole time?
johnnie guilbert x reader
enemies to lovers 18+
➷ you hated his guts, everything about him irritated you and made your skin crawl. you are friends with jake and you absolutely love him to bits so you spending time with him normally equals to you having to be around johnnie. these feelings aren't without reason though, your not the type of girl to hate on others very easily.
it happened a few years back, when your own youtube career recently jumpstarted and you started spending time with other similar youtubers near you. this is how you originally met johnnie, even before jake. you were first invited to a party hosted by some popular la youtuber at the time and you obviously took the invite since you knew this would not only help you make more friends in the industry but to also promote yourself!
you were greeting everyone and taking many pictures as the night went on, fully using this opportunity to the best of your ability. as it hit 12 you decided to look around and scope out the last person you want to introduce yourself to before you head home. you saw a short-ish guy with deep red emo hair swooped to the side with harsh makeup around his eyes and you were immediately intriged. you preferred a more grunge look yourself so seeing someone with such familiar fashion made you feel at ease.
"hey im y/n!" you say, introducing yourself. "do I know you?" he says coldly as he turns to see who was speaking to him. "no but everyone will soon the way my channel is going" you say with some sass so you can counter his rudeness. "you have way too much confidence" he says with a smirk. "so I've been told".
"what's your name?" you ask, "my names johnnie, johnnie guilbert". "well nice to meet you johnnie" you say with a smile. "what do you do for a living? if I can ask", " I make youtube videos and I also make some music on the side!" he says. you two talk for a little longer before you check the time seeing its quite past what you had planned. "hey it was great meeting you! I don't want to stay too long so I think I should get going!"
as you say goodbye and walk away you feel him grab you by your wrist, you turn around. "wait don't go yet, your the most interesting person I've spoken to today and I don't want to go home just yet" you bite your lip, "fine, how about I just walk you to your car then". he rolls his eyes, "is that all? anyways I don't even have a car, I came with uber"
"wait why did you take an uber?", you say confused, "do I really have to say". "yes", " okay, I can't drive.. happy?" you scrunch up your face, you don't feel comfortable letting him go home with an uber this time of night. "I don't mind giving you a lift! then you can talk to me during the ride all you want"
you walked him to your car and he got in on the passenger seat, let me just say that convincing him to let you take him home was harder than you imagined, but you could see in his face he appreciated it.
"why are you doing this again?" he asks as you start driving. "because I'm a nice person and I don't trust ubers". he nods, "I like your piercings" he says, observing your face in the dim lighting. "thanks!" you say as you stick out your tongue, showing your snake eyes. "oh shit I've never seen that in person before, it looks great". you blush slightly, "it was pretty painful and it's hard to upkeep but I don't regret it at all".
he brushes his hands through his hair, probably anxious from the small talk. "this might sound weird but, do you have a girlfriend" you ask. "I don't, why?", "it's because I figured that if u did she would be the one driving u home from a party, so I was just curious". "haven't had one in years", he says leaning back. "really? your really hot so I'd imagine girls would be all over you".
he laughs, "maybe in the past but not anymore, my sense of fashion and my lack of confidence kinda makes getting a girlfriend hard" he says, opening up to you effortlessly. "I think emo guys are hot" you turn and look at him.
"what are you implying?" he says, giving a lewd grin. "that if I had the choice to either have sex with you or not have sex with you that I would". you notice him squirm slightly in his seat. "if you mean that, pull over" he says
you do as he says and you climb into the back seat. you crawl into his lap and find yourself grabbing and pulling on anything you can find as you feel his tounge slip deep into your mouth, tasting the alcohol he had ingested that night. you wish you could recall the rest but you were much drunker than you thought you were and ended up slightly blacking out.
the moral of the story is that you gave him your number, and he never came back after that. not a call, not even a single text. you never ever hooked up with guys, this was your first time. and you hate how knowing a guy for just one hour could make you feel such strong feelings towards him, for johnnies case those feelings were a mix of lust and disgust.
back to current times, you ended up meeting jake a year later and that's when you saw johnnie again for the first time since that night. but instead of apologizing or at least being honest he instead found himself ignoring you. this frustrated you the most, you despise a man who cannot own up to his actions, let alone not even acknowledging them. every time you found yourself around him you felt your blood boil and you just wanted to give him a peice of your mind, but you can't.
you can't since it's been 5 months since and neither of you have said anything at all, 5 months of pure pretend. jake noticed your dislike towards his roommate but he didn't want to get involved in any issues that didn't require him, which you appreciated greatly.
after a lot of convincing, jake did eventually get the both of you to film a video together with him. it was one of those food rating videos and the goal was to order one type of food for everyone, jake said that I will do the drinks, johnnie the main and jake the desert. you were dreading this.
and you have been dreading this day for the past month since jake started bringing it up. you couldn't even handle being in the same room as him for a few minutes let alone a whole video.
"let's plan what we will order now so that we don't have to think to hard tomorrow!' jake says as you sat down on the couch next to him and opposite from johnnie. "I already know what I'm making you guys eat", "let it be actual food and not just chicken nuggets please" jake says jokingly. "knowing johnnie he will probably poison mine" you say with a scoff. a few minutes later jake started getting a call from someone and had to leave, aka leaving you alone with johnnie.
"why would you say that?" johnnie said to you the moment jake left the room. "say what?", "say that I'd poison your food, it's rude". you laugh from the pure nerve this guy has. "don't fuck with me, don't act like your the victim here". "says the one starting unnecessary shit". " I'm not starting anything, you started and I'm just continuing". the tension in the room was cut as jake walks back in, "sorry guys that was my studio, anyways where were we!" he looks between the two of you and johnnie gets up and leaves, saying he's not feeling well.
that evening you sat down in the passengers seat of jakes car, you breathe in and out meditatively to calm your nerves. "okay everything is orderd we just gotta wait for the food!" jake says climbing into his seat of the car and started prepping for the recording. you fiddle with your rings and move around your hair for a solid 12 minutes before johnnie got in the car with the food in hand.
the video started off fine, you didn't laugh at his jokes and he didn't laugh at yours. you two didn't even make eye contact, that was untill it was jakes turn. "okay guys for johnnie I got him a really massive chocolate chip cookie because hes a basic bitch and I got y/n a gummy lunchable because she's never had one" you laugh since the idea for having gummy pizza seems so obscure. "jake that's so wrong you know I love lunchables". jake turns to you as if implying you should give him a piece.
"I rather not" you say softly, but not soft enough to where johnnie couldn't hear you, "it's literally just a lunchable what's your problem". " I never said I had a problem, it's not my fault you don't have manners and can't ask for something yourself". "I literally just said that I love lunchables, stop starting shit were recording".
jake turns around to face the both of you, "what the fuck guys, what's your problem", you look at johnnie, "ask him". " you guys are acting like fucking toddlers either tell me what happened or just sort your issues alone, like now" he says as he gets out of his car, "there's no point in keeping on filming so let's just go inside okay".
you go inside and sit down and you feel as if your in the third grade getting detention from your angry teacher Mr Webber. "so.. what happend, you two have been like this since the moment you met and I don't understand, y/n, johnnie,I love you both so much but I can't handle this bad energy", you stay quiet and so does johnnie. "okay if you guys are going to be like that I'm going to my room, just please sort something out because I promised our fans we were doing a collab". he says walking off into his room.
you bite the inside of your mouth and look around, not able to handle the awkward silence. "johnnie I just have to ask you one question, why?" he makes an upset face, "what do you mean 'why'", " you know what I mean" you say in almost a defeated tone. you stand up and walk towards where he is sitting, "I mean why didn't you text me back, why did you ghost me" he looks away. "don't be a coward please, im tired of our crap". upon hearing this he stands up.
"fine okay, I'm a fucking coward. I was too scared to message you back because I was drunk and you were drunk and I knew for a fact that nothing would happen between us because I mean look at you, your gorgeous and I know if we somehow started something in the future I would feel so guilty that we hooked up the night we met, I've only ever had sex with two people y/n!! that's you and my ex and I feel guilty for it every day because sleeping with random people is not me!!"
your feel as if your in shock, almost frozen in place. you brush your hand through your hair about to say something but nothing comes out. "I never met to hurt you at all I just, I'm stupid I'm fucking st-" you cut him off by putting your lips on his, he doesn't push you away and instead takes his arms and grabs onto you tight while pushing you against the nearest wall. "I sware I'm not usually like this" he says, breaking the kiss,"you just.. do something to me"
'fuck' you mutter as you grab onto his hair as the kiss becomes more and more passionate. he takes his hands off the wall and starts to remove your baby tee, exposing your lacy black bra. as he did this you hear something behind you and look to see jake, his mouth dropped right to the floor. johnnie immediately stood in front of you to cover your exposed skin and when he heard jake walk away he helped you put your shirt back on. "I'm so sorry" he says with the most guilty look on his face.
"shh don't be it's okay!" you say holding his face and giving him a soft kiss, "I definitely overreacted to everything because of how much I liked you, it hurt me so much that someone I felt so strongly about could shove me aside like you did". " I haven't gone a day without regretting what I did" he says. you felt so relieved that this issue between you two was finally sorted out.
"what now?" you ask, indentifying the elephant in the room. "its my turn to say sorry I shouldnt have kissed you like that it was impulsive and careless of me".
"y/n". " yes?", you ask completely confused. "I've never met someone I've wanted more then you in this moment, I want you and all of you" he says walking towards you and holding your waist, "let's not torture each other as we have, please" you smile "I'm all yours".

It's undeniably real (Layla El-Faouly x The Moonknight system x Reader)
Tumblr media
Chapter 1: Then, it's the best feeling I've even known
Words: 1282
Warning: sex mentioned not described.
Three months ago when my best friend, and childhood crush, Layla El-Faouly reached out asking if I would like to possibly be in a threesome with her and her Husband Marc I was surprised. One they never seemed the type for Non-Monogamy, and Two I was pretty sure Layla was over her Bi-curious phase a long time ago. It was a pretty amazing night. I was pretty sure I would never have sex that good again, but I was very wrong. I have sex like that all the time. About a week after that night they had invited me over again, this time, I found out a lot more. About Marc’s DID, About Steven and Jake, about Moon-knight, and their adventures around the world. I felt like I could probably take that all into stride as their friend, then came the next surprise.
They asked me out.
They wanted me to be in a relationship with them, all of them. I had felt like my heart stopped that second. It took me sometime to process it and decide.
It had been a long day at work, I had just managed to get in the door and get out of my work clothes when there was a knock at the door. I went to take a look though my peephole It was Marc. I opened the door with a half smile on my face.
“Hey, Marc. Come on in.” I smiled and gestured for him to come inside.
“Hey, I’m sorry to not call or something before coming over I...I needed to see you.” He says in his usual gruff voice. He needed to see me? This was something else.
“Oh, um Okay.” I closed the door after he walked in. “Is something wrong?”
“Look, I thought it would be a good idea if, I asked you on a date, and they Want to ask you on a date as well, Especially Jake, He and Layla, don’t exactly get along…It’s a long story.” He seemed anxious about it, about asking me out.
“Does Layla also want a date? Is this some kinda trail period? First four dates free?” I try to lighten the mood with a joke. Marc smirks and chuckles.
“Yeah, something like that. I’m sure Layla would enjoy that. Sorry…this is still new to me…to us.” He rubs the back of his neck and averts his gaze.
“And not to me.” Admittedly my last triad hadn’t ended well but I had more experience in this than they did. “Anyway you feel about it is totally normal. Its how you act on those feelings that matters.” We sat in the living room for hours after that. Talking about how he felt, talking about how the others felt, and talking about how we all felt about Layla. I put my hand on his knee at one point and he after thinking for a second put his hand on mine, and that’s when I think I knew, no matter how those first dates went, I was saying yes.
~
Now three months later I’m grocery shopping with Layla, trying to figure out what one of the boys wrote on the shared grocery list, her arm around my waist as I’m holding the list.
“I can’t read Jake’s handwriting, what the hell does this say?” She points at it.
“Horchata Mix.” I laugh
“How can you read that?”
“He leaves me little love notes, like in the book I’m reading or on my bathroom mirror. I had to figure out what they said. So I made a cipher.”
“Well Jeeze, For all the times I managed to get him to talk to me all he could do was cuss me out.” Layla chuckles. Layla and Jake had a rough start of it, when He first showed up he brought chaos into their lives again and after they had just managed to settle down again. Layla had every right to feel like she did, but Jake also had a right to live a life, and for some reason, He really liked living his life with me. Which made me think of our first “free date”
~
“Dress for dancing. Can’t wait to see you. -J” That’s all the text said. The text made me laugh. The short black dress that hugs every curve of my body, the comfortable dance heels from my days in dance class, delicate makeup, hair done nicely. I thought I did well. I was surprised when Marc and Layla had said Jake wanted to take me out first. Apparently he had practically begged. I thought they were kidding at first, until I had gotten the text from Jake. Once I was ready I checked my phone to see a text from Jake.
“Outside. –J”
I felt my heart start to race as I left the building. He was standing outside his car, a flirtatious smirk on his face, It was a little odd to see Marc’s body but know it wasn’t him, how he held himself, the way he dressed, it was all very different. I walked up to him. I looked him over for the first time, he was dressed very nice, dress pants, white button up, dark tie, and the pageboy cap pulled over his dark curls was a good touch.
“It’s good to finally meet you Hermosa. You look stunning.”  His Spanish accent was a bit of a surprise.
“Thank you Jake, It’s really nice to meet you too.” I smile and lean in to kiss his cheek, a soft chuckle leaves his lip before returning the favor.
“Tu eres muy dulce…” His Honeyed words hit my ear and a shiver goes down my back. He opened the car door for her and she sat down in the car. As we drove to the dance hall we made some simple conversation. We pull into the parking lot of the dance hall and Jake is a gentleman the whole way in, opening doors, taking my hand, ordering my drink, it was quite sweet. But I had no idea what I was in for when we hit the dance floor.
He takes one of my hands in his and his other wraps around my waist, and he gives me a warm smile. It was my turn to surprise him by knowing where to hold myself in a starting dance position, a small smirk on my face as he chuckles and we start to dance together. I feel my heart thumping in my chest as His dark brown eyes met mine, something in the quality behind them, was different then when Marc looked at me. Everything about him was sensual, every touch, every turn, every second I felt like I was dancing on air. At some point we took a break and sat down to talk.
“Where did you learn to dance Muñeca?” He asks
“I took a bunch of classes in college, and some more recently with my ex. ” I answered honestly “And you?”
“If I told you I’d have to kill you.” He says with a chuckle. I laughed.
“Alright keep you’re secrets Lockley.”
“How else am I gonna keep you on your toes? Hm?” He wiggles his eyebrows at me and I couldn’t help but laugh again.
~
I put the blue bag of Horchata Mix in the cart with a smile then looked up at Layla. Her coffee eyes looked at me with an affection I had learned to enjoy over the last three months. I was thankful every single second I had with them. I had learned many times over the years that love like this is rare and fleeting, I just hope this time it lasts.

The Lovers
The Lovers represent relationships and choices. Its appearance in a spread indicates some decision about an existing relationship, a temptation of the heart, or a choice of potential partners. Often an aspect of the querent's life will have to be sacrificed; a bachelor's lifestyle may be sacrificed and a relationship gaine, or one potential partner may be chosen while another is turned down. Whatever the choice, it should not be made lightly, as the ramifications will be lasting.

PART 7:
THEN:
It had been two months since Jake left Atlanta the first time. Since then he had been back to see you twice. Both were quick trips, one was when he came down for a weekend to talk to the record company on behalf of the band, another was just when he had a “layover” (that he most definitely created himself) on his way to Charlotte for a guitar convention. Both times you had chosen to stay in, order take out, listen to music, drink wine, and fuck- a lot. Sam had come down by himself to visit you. This was just a visit, he stayed for almost a week. You two went out drinking, dancing, and he stayed busy while you were at school and work. Of course Sam slept in the guest bedroom, and it was harder for you and Jake to communicate with Sam being there, but it was still nice to have him around. You and Jake conversed more than originally, but it still wasn’t as often as you might have hoped. He called you about three times a week, and you peppered texts back and forth sporadically. Sam called you almost everyday, sometimes multiple times a day. You and Sam had become even closer, so it felt even more strange to keep a secret from him. It had been about three months since you and Jake started messing around. Now you were packing, getting ready to head to Detroit for the week. Sam was absolutely over the moon when you told him you had thought of coming up to see them on your week off. Sam assured you that you could stay in his room with him. You thanked him, but wondered how you and Jake might navigate that. I’m fact you were insanely nervous and curious as to how this week might go. You hadn’t told anyone about the two of you. Even Lana was clueless. Would you two act like normal? You doubted it. Since your first encounter every time you saw each other it was hard to keep your hands to yourself. But you also sat up and talked for hours. You decided to cross that bridge when you got there. Your flight was tonight, which was a day early from when you were supposed to come. Sam had begged you to come and surprise everyone, because they were having a small gathering tonight with friends before they left. Jake hadn’t told you about that. You finished packing and decided to pick out an outfit. You wanted comfortable yet cute since you were traveling. It wasn’t too long of a flight though. You wore a pair of black pleather leggings with a white tank crop top. You paired it with a light hoodie for the flight and chunky white sneakers. You put your hair in a loose fishtail braid and added gold jewelry. You did light makeup, just your lash extensions, concealer, bronzer, and brows. You were already sun kissed since it was summer. You grabbed your carry on and suitcase and were off. You texted Sam before you boarded, he would be picking you up.
**
Your flight was easy. Everything had gone right and on schedule. You picked up your bags and called Sam, he informed you he was out front. As soon as you walked out you saw Sam standing with a huge smile on his face. He was wearing super short shorts with a button up leopard shirt and Birkenstocks. He fast walked to you and picked you up and spun you around in a tight hug.
“Sorority girl!” Sam said as he placed you back on the ground.
You laughed. “Hi Sammy. It’s good to see you.”
“Likewise. I’m glad you got in safely. How was your flight?” Sam said as he took your bags and started towards his Tesla.
“It was great actually. Pretty quick.” You responded, taking off your jacket.
“Good. I’m excited to surprise everyone.” Sam said as you both entered the car.
“Who all is there?” You asked, reaching for your seatbelt.
“Just a couple of friends we have known since we were kids.” Sam replies, pulling out of the airport. “We actually have to stop by the liquor store. It was the only way I could leave without being suspicious.”
You smile. “Tequila I’m assuming?”
Sam laughs and looks over at you, he pats your leg with his hand. “You know me so well.”
**
After you and Sam had picked up three bottles of Casamigos, you finally pulled up to their rented house. It was nice, very secluded in the suburbs. There was four bedrooms, one for each of the boys. You were so excited to see Jake you could hardly stand it. You grabbed two bottles of tequila, while Sam got the rest. You walked in the back door in the kitchen and no one was there. Sam said everyone was in the loft upstairs. You sat down the tequila and Sam showed you his room, which was right next to Jake’s. He laid down your things and took your hand leading you upstairs. Your heart was pounding in anticipation.
“Hey everyone I’m back with the tequila and something very special.” Sam announces as you breach the top of the stairs.
Your eyes are darting around the room for Jake. Upstairs is really nice, there is a foosball table which you see Danny and Josh currently playing with another guy who you hadn’t seen before. You spot Jake on the futon sitting and drinking a beer, only he isn’t alone. There is a blonde girl sitting basically on top of him. Her tan legs are splayed across his lap, her jean shorts are ridiculously tight and short. She has on a blue tank top with no bra. Jake had his non-beer drinking hand laid over her shins. Who in the fuck was this? Why was she all over Jake? He looks as cool as can be until he sees you.
“Holy shit! Hey mama!” Josh exclaims as he runs over and hugs you.
Danny follows after him. “Oh my god it’s so good to see you!”
You smile and say hello to both of them. But you are fuming. As soon as Jake sees you he throws the tanned legs off of him and stands up engulfing you in a hug.
“Thought you weren’t coming until tomorrow?”
Jake says whispering in your ear.
“Sam’s idea to surprise everyone.” You say meekly.
“Hi.” Tan legs says to you. “Jake, who is this?”
Jake starts to answer but he’s cut off by Sam, who throws his arm around you. “This is y/n. We met her in Atlanta a few months ago and have been ever so enamored by her since.”
“Oh. Well I’m Jessica and that’s my brother over there Jace.” Tan legs says.
Her brother approaches you and extends his hand. “It’s a pleasure.”
You smile, very fake. “Nice to meet you both.”
“Sam please tell me you went to the liquor store like you said.” Jessica says, throwing her head back.
You already didn’t like her. You also noticed Jake hadn’t taken his eyes off of you.
“Tone it down Jess, it’s downstairs.” He says.
“Well let’s go.” Jessica says getting up and prancing down the stairs.
“Right behind ya.” Sam says.
Danny and Josh follow down the stairs, and Jace throws his arm around Sam. He whispers something you can’t hear and all you can make out is Sam saying “Don’t think about it.”
You and Jake start to follow along but Jake grabs your arm before you make your descent.
“I’m glad you’re here. You look gorgeous.” Jake says, wrapping his hand around your waist.
You give him a weak smile, definitely still bothered by what you saw. “Me too. We should get down there.”
Jake kisses your head and nods. When you make it down the stairs you see Sam pouring shots.
“There you are sorority girl! Get over here!” Sam yells.
You walk over to him and take the shot glass.
“Here Jake! Come here!” Jessica yells out handing a shot glass to Jake.
He takes it and nods, standing next to her.
“Okay to tonight! Celebrating leaving friends and a friend joining us.” Sam says, raising his glass in the air.
“Here here!” Josh yells.
You all clink your glasses and Jake makes eye contact with you. He offers you a small smile. You just smack your shot glass on the table and shoot the tequila.
“Whew! Okay come on sorority girl time to give you the grand tour.” Sam says, as he wraps his arm around you and takes you through the house. He only shows you the common rooms, outside, and his bedroom. He brags about being the only room that has a couch. When you return to the living room you see that beer pong is being set up in the living room.
“Sam let’s go! Me and Jake versus you and sorority girl.” Jessica yells.
This irritates you. When Sam calls you that it’s endearing, out of her mouth it sounds like mocking.
“Damn there goes my partner.” Danny says, joking.
“Don’t worry Daniel. I will play with you as well.” Sam says.
“Eh, I don’t know. I think I’m good.” Jake says from across the room.
She pouts her lips out. “Oh come on Jake. You have been my partner this whole weekend. Don’t switch up on me now.”
Fuming again.
“Yeah Jake if you’re scared we are going to beat the shit out of you just say it!” Sam yells, poking fun at him.
You look at Jake directly. “Yeah Jake. Are you scared?”
He huffs out and reluctantly walks over.
You all start playing. Jake is up first. He sinks his first shot. Jessica cheers and throws her arms around him. You could vomit. She misses. You and Sam both sink your shots, so you get balls back. You make it again, Sam barely misses.
“Sorority girl! Always so clutch.” Sam says.
You and Sam inevitably win. Sam is the one who clinched the win. Jessica seems bothered, but Jake isn’t.
Next up the rest of the boys play. You take a seat on the couch, Jessica plops down next to you. Jake stays by the table to watch them play.
“Soooooo how long have you known them now?” Jessica asks you.
“About three months.” You say casually.
“Oh you’re lucky.” She laughs. “I have known these guys since I was 7. Our parents are friends.”
You can tell she’s trying to let you know that she is their go to girl, and you need to learn your place. Gross. “Oh nice. Where are you and your brother sleeping? Surely they’re not giving you the couch?” You say, trying to gain information.
She smiles. “No not me, I’m staying in Jake’s room. But Jace is on the couch.”
Your blood is boiling. You were worried about how you and Jake would pull off this weekend, but turns out it doesn’t matter. He’s shacking up with bleach blonde tan legs. Fuck that.
You force a smile back. “Oh, what a gentleman.”
She looks over at Jake and smiles. “Yeah, he is. So you and Sam?”
You look at her confused. “Huh?”
“Are you and Sam a thing? I have never seen him be so touchy and gauky around a girl before like he is with you.” She says.
You huff a laugh. “Oh no. We’re just really good friends. Sam feels like a brother to me.”
“Interesting.” She says, as she sips her beer.
**
Sam and Danny lost. Josh and Jace wanted to play again, so Jake volunteered to play with Danny.
Sam approached you and extended his hand. “Sorority girl, care to join me outside?”
You took his hand immediately, anything to get you away from Jessica. Sam continued to hold your hand as he pulled you towards the back porch. You passed right by Jake, and he slightly furrowed his brows at you. You shrugged and continued following Sam. When you both got outside you sat at the table and Sam pulled out a baggie.
“Oh thank god.” You said as Sam held up the bud.
“I figured you might want to get out of there.” He said starting to roll.
You laugh. “Was it obvious?”
“I didn’t think you and Jessica would really mesh well. She’s… well a lot. But she’s one of those people who you just have to tolerate because she’s like family. She annoys the piss out of Jake.” Sam says.
This ignites a curious spark in you. “Oh yeah I was going to ask what is going on there.”
Sam laughs. “Yeah. Basically she has been pining over him since we were like 16. But Jake has never indulged her. She throws herself at him sometimes, but Jake doesn’t have the heart to tell her to fuck off. Like I said, we basically grew up together.”
This makes you feel somewhat better, but still mad that they’re sharing a room. “Ouch. That seems like a situation.”
“Indeed.” Sam says licking the paper and finishing the roll. “Jace is cool though, but he’s a whore so stay away from him like that.”
You laugh at him. Sam lights up and you two sit outside for about 15 minutes talking and smoking before heading back in. Once back inside the beer pong game had calmed down. Everyone was standing around the table talking, Jessica was next to Jake. Shocker.
“Sam, what is that smell?” Danny inquires.
Sam shruggs and grabs a beer for you and him.
“You bastard. You didn’t share!” Josh shouts.
Sam smiles. “You snooze, you lose. Plus I did share, just not with you.”
You chuckle a little.
Jake walks over to you. “What a little stoner you are.”
You smile at him. “I know how to get down.”
“Oh I know you do.” Jake says with a smirk.
Sam shouts out. “Can we order pizza, vegan of course. I’m starving.”
**
You had all ordered pizza and gathered in the living room. There was a large L shaped couch. You had sat next to Sam, Jake had plopped down next to you, and of course Jessica scooted herself next to Jake. You all stayed up and talked and drank. Sam busted out his famous margaritas. Jessica drank a lot. She tried to cuddle up all on Jake, but he had turned away from her towards you. Sam was too high to notice, Jessica was not. Jake seemed so amused that you were high. He even made a comment that your eyes were cute all bloodshot, you were pretty sure Jessica heard that. After a few hours of drinking and talking you were ready to go to bed. Sam seemed like he was about to doze off as well.
“Sam.” You said turning towards him. “Can we go to bed? I'm so tired.”
“Yeah of course. We just have to figure out the sleeping situation.” Sam replies.
“I can take the couch in your room.” You say, seemingly obvious.
Sam sighs. “First of all if it were just you and I- I would be taking the couch. But Jake has been sleeping there. Jessica has been staying in his room because he has the only room with a connected bathroom. Lady’s shower privacy and all.”
So Jake hadn’t been sharing a room, better yet a bed with her. That made you feel better.
“Oh.” Is all you said.
“I mean obviously you can sleep in the bed with me. Only if you want to, no pressure and it’s not weird or anything.” Sam says, suddenly getting tongue tied.
You laugh a little. “Yeah that’s fine.”
Sam stands up. “Okay everyone we are going to bed.”
“I’m right behind you. Good night everyone.” Jake says also standing up.
The three of you head towards Sam’s room.
“So how are we doing this?” Jake says as you all get into the room.
“Sorority girl and I will take the bed and you can keep your couch.” Sam says, pulling off his shirt.
Jake looks at you and presses his lips together. He is obviously less than thrilled with this.
“Or you can take the room with Jess and I’ll take the couch.” Sam says smirking at Jake.
“Mhm no thanks.” Jake says grabbing his blankets and splaying them out.
“Okay I’m going to go change, wash my face, and brush my teeth.” You say grabbing your bag.
As you exit the room you pass Jessica, she shoots you a dirty look. Whatever fake niceness she had exuded earlier was long gone. You threw on your pajamas, which were black and tan plaid pants and a black tank top. When you return Jake is on the couch and Sam is on one side of the bed. Sam is already out.
“Lock the door please.” Jake says.
You nod and do it before climbing into bed with Sam. You knew how weird this felt. There was so much you wanted to say to Jake, but you didn’t. Instead you stared at the ceiling before slowly falling asleep.
**
You were awoken by banging at the door. What in the hell was that?
“Jesus Christ.” Sam says before getting up and cracking the door.
“What?” He says as he answers the door.
You pretend to be asleep but are listening to everything said.
“Hi um good morning. Jace and I are leaving and I wanted to say bye to you and Jake.”
It’s Jessica. You squint your eyes and see that she is trying to glide by Sam inside.
“No hold up. They’re still asleep.” Sam says.
“Oh I was just going to ask Jake to help me with my bags.” She replies.
Sam huffs. “I can help you. Jake is asleep and so is y/n there is no sense in waking them up. Come on.”
You smile slightly at this.
You hadn’t seen Jessica since.
TODAY:
Jake was pissed. The whole car ride home had been tense and silent. You glanced over once and Jake was gripping the steering wheel so tight his knuckles were white. You didn’t care. How hypocritical of him to be pissed at you for flirting when he was fucking women all around the world? Your buzz had worn off by the time you had gotten home. Jake again, didn’t say a word as he went inside. You felt for a moment that you two may not even speak again. You went up to Jake’s room to change and start packing. But he was right behind you. He followed you in and shut the door. You didn’t turn around.
“What the fuck?” Jake says. You turn around and his arms are crossed and his face is telling of how angry he is.
“What?” You say flatly.
“Don’t fucking what me. What the fuck was that? Who the fuck was that? Why the fuck did he have his fucking hands on you?” Jake says, raising his voice ever so slightly.
“Ben.” You say taking off your jewelry.
Jake makes the most confused yet angry face you have ever seen. “Who the fuck is Ben?”
“Oh cut the shit with me Jake. You don’t get to be a fucking hypocrite.” You say in an annoyed tone.
He looks at you with straight confusion. “What?”
“Don’t play dumb. It’s obvious that you’re out fucking whatever groupie whores because the road can get lonely.” You say in a mocking voice. “But I don’t even give a fuck. We are not together. You owe me nothing, and I owe you nothing. If some guy wants to buy me drinks and touch my legs at a bar, don't cockblock me.”
Jake is at a loss for words. It takes him a few seconds to even process what he just heard.
“Are you fucking kidding me?” He seethes. “Is this because of what Sam said?”
You look up at him, not responding.
Jake lets out the kind of laugh that you elicit when you are hearing something unbelievable. “Are you fucking kidding me right now? I do not fuck groupie whores. I have not fucked another person since the first time I fucked you. In fact I have not fucking looked at or given the time of day to another woman since I fucked you. I don’t want anyone else in this whole goddamn world but you. How is that not painfully obvious?”
You sit there in silence.
“Before I met you, sure. But since? Absolutely not. I have done nothing but think about you. I have tried to tell you how I feel, I have tried to make us official, I have done everything I could think of to keep you. Goddamn it I fucking love you.” Jake says, throwing his hands in the air.
Your heart swells, but you feel like you have no air left in you.
Jake takes a few steps towards you. “Yeah you heard me. I am in love with you. I love you so much, and I have for a while. So when I see someone else putting their hands on you, I feel a kind of rage I have never felt before. I want you, all of you. No more bullshit.”
You feel like your chest is going to burst. “Jake-“ you start, half whispering.
“No.” He says pressing his body to yours and putting his hands on your arms. “I want to be yours and I want you to be mine. Officially. There is no one else, and there never will be. Say it, please just say it.”
Your lip starts to quiver and you feel like you’re going to cry and scream at the same time. That sinking feeling has turned into something else entirely, something you had never felt before. You look up at him, with tears slightly welling in your eyes. “I’m yours Jake.”
Immediately his lips are crashed onto yours. Your tears spill out but neither of you care. Jake’s hands are running all over your body. He is frantically trying to remove your clothes as you are also doing to him. You kick your boots off while Jake peels you out of your skirt. You finish unbuttoning his shirt before it also drops to the floor. Jake is hard and when you rub your hand over his length he moans into your mouth. You are so full of lust and love in this moment. Jake slips his tongue into your mouth and you eagerly obliged. Jake’s pants are off and he rips your sweater over your head. His hands continue to rub all over your body, electrifying your senses. He cups your ass and unclasps your bra. Jake hoists you up and sits you on his dresser. His lips move to your neck, sucking and biting. You know there will be purple bruises there tomorrow but you don’t care. Jake was marking his territory. His fingers find their way down to your core. He slips them in your panties and works his magic. You are a moaning mess but so is Jake. At this moment he is almost animalistic, so raw and so rough. You love it. He swirls his tongue over your nipples before lightly biting them. You are so turned on that you’re actually throbbing.
“Fuck Jake please.” You moan out.
He doesn’t need anymore begging. Your panties are being ripped off of you and Jake’s boxers are off. He rubs his cock all over your soaking wet entrance and you feel like you’re going to cum already. Your whole body is on fire and you’re craving more touch than you ever thought possible.
“Fuck baby.” Jake says in the sexiest voice you have ever heard as he continues to tease your entrance. He plunges his cock inside of you and you are both practically screaming. You have your hands around Jake with one hand lightly tugged and his hair woven in the base of his neck. He has one hand around your waist holding you at an angle while he fucks you. His other hand is rubbing light circles around your clit. You and Jake lock eyes and it turns you on even more. The sounds coming from you two are absolutely obscene and you are thankful no one else is home. The dresser is smacking against the wall, the sound of skin on skin, your moaning, and Jake’s expletives fill the air. Jake removes his fingers from your clit and takes them to your mouth. You suck on them and he inhales sharply at the sight before returning them to your clit.
“God, I love you.” Jake says as he pounds into you mercilessly. You know he is dangerously close, but you are too.
You moan and say through a shaky breath, “Fuck- I -I love you too Jake.”
He smashes his lips to yours and you give him a little nod letting him know that you’re about to finish. You start to cum and Jake is right behind you. Your orgasm is intense and flows through your whole body. You feel the warmness wash through you and Jake is whispering sweet praises in your ear. You’re both a sweaty mess and when you both return to your senses you look at each other. Jake presses his forehead to yours still panting, he kisses all over your face and neck before returning to your lips. He grabs the back of your head and kisses you passionately for at least two minutes straight. He gives your forehead another kiss before helping clean you off with a towel. Jake runs you both a bath and you climb into it. Jake is behind you, holding you. Neither one of you let go of the other for the rest of the night.
**
The next morning you woke up and felt happier than you had in a while. You couldn’t stop grinning. Jake was yours and you were his. You were unsure how this would change you two, but you were excited. Jake had also woken up and pulled you into an embrace. He kissed your head and ran his fingers gingerly over your arm.
“Good morning lover.” Jake says.
You smile at him. “Good morning Jake.”
“Are you ready for today?” He asks you.
You let out a sigh. “Not really, I’m not ready to leave you.”
Jake pulls you into a kiss. “I know, me either.”
You both laid there for a while before getting up and getting ready for the day. Jake started packing your things while you showered. Then he showered while you had gotten ready. Today you wore black leggings with a ripped up Rob Zombie tee and an oversized flannel. You did light jewelry and makeup since you would be on a plane later. You threw your hair up in a high ponytail and left out a few pieces to frame your face. You gathered all of your bathroom items and packed them away. You were all ready. Your flight wasn’t until 5, but Jake wanted to grab lunch before. Jake took your bags downstairs and you followed him. All of the guys were down in the kitchen making coffee.
“I’m going to run this to the car babe.” Jake said.
You nodded your head.
“Well you seem to be in a good mood this morning mama.” Josh says, sipping his coffee.
“Yeah you two seemed upset when you left last night.” Danny said.
“Yeah, we made up. All is well now.” You said.
Josh snickered. “Yeah I think we gathered that. We heard some sounds from upstairs. I hope Jake’s wall is still intact.”
Your face blushes a little and you huff out a laugh.
“So you’re leaving today?” Sam asks, changing the subject. You’re thankful for that.
“Yeah sadly. I have to get back to work tomorrow. Obviously I’ll be back for Halloween.” You say giving him a smile.
Jake walks in and Josh and Danny start clapping obnoxiously. He walks over to all of you and looks a little confused.
“Did you tell them?” Jake says to you.
Shit. You shake your head no.
“Tell us what?” Sam asks.
“Well what were you clapping for?” Jake asks.
Danny laughs a little. “We were just being smart asses. We heard some of that commotion last night.”
Jake furrows his brows a little. “Oh.”
“Tell us what?” Sam repeats.
Jake shoots you a look, almost asking for permission. You nod.
Jake blows out a breath. “Well, we finally made it official last night.” He tries to hide his smile, but fails.
It’s quiet for a minute. Then Josh lets out a laugh. “Holy shit! It’s about damn time!” He says clapping once.
“Seriously. But congratulations, I’m happy for you two.” Danny says.
You smile and look over at Sam. He’s really pale, and keeps looking into his coffee. He must have drank a lot last night.
“I mean shit. I thought you two were going to drag that out forever. It’s been obvious that you’re soulmates for a long long time.” Josh says.
Jake chuckles. “Okay, we get it. But, we are about to head out and grab some food before I take her to the airport.”
You say your goodbyes to everyone.
“Goodbye my future sister-in-law.” Josh says kissing your cheek.
You roll your eyes and hug Danny. When you make it over to Sam he isn’t acting like himself. He offers you a weak smile and a light hug.
“Safe travels.” Sam says.
You smile at him. “Thank you Sammy. I’ll call you later okay?”
He nods and you walk back towards Jake. He throws his arm around you as you both walk to the door.
“Oh by the way.” Jake says, turning around. “Sorry if we kept anyone up last night.”
You gasp a little and lightly smack his arm. He smirks and laughs while walking out the door.
**
Jake had pulled up outside of a deli in a little shopping plaza. You had never been here before, but trusted Jake’s restaurant skills. It was still relatively early, but you assumed you would stay there and talk for a while or go somewhere after. You started walking up to the deli when Jake stopped you.
“We are going there after.”
You look at him confused. He takes your hand and leads you next door into a pottery studio.
You smile at him. “Jake, this is so fun.”
“Anything for you.” He says as he opens the door.
You and Jake had decided to make a vase. The instructor showed you the basics then gave you a mound of clay to start molding. You and Jake both took turns molding and shaping your vase. Jake looked so hot with his flannel sleeves rolled up with that concentrated look on his face.
“C’mere.” Jake says with his hands still on the clay.
You sit down in the stool in front of him as he scoots back.
“Let’s finish this together. We can’t go to a pottery studio without having a ghost moment.” He says.
You laugh and oblige. You and Jake both have your hands on the vase smoothing and finishing the shape. Your head is turned laughing at the jokes Jake is cracking and then you see a flash go off from the corner of your eye.
“Sorry, this was too cute not to capture.” The instructor says, taking the Polaroid picture and fanning it off. “I’ll leave this right here for you guys.” She says sitting it on the table.
You and Jake finish your vase and then discuss the best glaze for it. Once it’s glazed you turn it into be fired before washing your hands.
Jake picks up the picture and observes it with a smile. “This is cute, but I’m sorry you’re not getting it my love. It’s staying in my wallet so I can look at it when we’re apart. I will bring the vase to you however.”
“Sounds like a fair trade off.” You say grabbing your things and heading out the door. Next you both walk over to the deli and order some turkey clubs. You both sit at the booth and eat your sandwiches while discussing plans for this upcoming week. Even though it feels like everything changed, it also feels like nothing changed. Jake would always be Jake to you, title or not. He was your person. But now he was your person wholly, with no doubts. This made you feel alive in ways you couldn’t describe. All of those negative emotions you harbored had dissipated, and you felt lighter than ever. You were sad when Jake pulled up to the airport, but you knew you would be seeing him soon. When he parked at the unloading zone he got your bags out and put them on the sidewalk. He sighed heavily and walked over to you, embracing you in a tight hug.
“I hate this part.” You said.
Jake kissed your head. “Me too, but it won’t be as long as last time.”
You sighed and looked up at Jake. He leaned down and kissed you ever so sweetly.
“I love you.” He says pressing his forehead to yours.
You take a deep breath, “I love you too.”
**
The next day you felt drained at work. When that clock hit 5, you were out the door. You had gotten back to Atlanta late. By the time you called Sam and called Jake it was even later. You had asked Sam if he was okay, and he told you yes he had just had too many beers. Jake stayed up with you until you had fallen asleep on the phone. When you got back to your apartment today you climbed into bed and knocked out. You woke up around 7 and decided to Uber eats some takeout. You wore a big t-shirt and bike shorts. Your doorbell rang, and there was no way it was your takeout. You made your way to the door and opened it. There stood Jake with a suitcase and your vase in hand.
“Hi lover. I’m sorry I would have been here last night but I had to wait on this damn thing.” He said, shaking around the vase.
You smiled the biggest smile. “Oh my god. I thought you were traveling this week?”
“We leave for tour again next Wednesday. So for the rest of the week, I’m yours.” Jake says stepping into your apartment. He kissed you softly.
“Well I just ordered takeout, I’ll add on to the order. Do you want your usual?” You say taking the vase and sitting it on your TV stand.
Jake smirks at you. “You know it baby.”
**
For the next week Jake spent every waking moment possible with you. Everything felt like normal, but there was more love and lust than you knew possible. Every night you went out to eat, made love- wilder and more passionate than ever, watched movies, and cuddled up in bed. You were both engulfed in your own little bubble of love and happiness. But it wouldn’t stay that way forever.
• thank you for reading!! Don’t forget to check back here on October 31st at midnight for a special Halloween chapter :)

Oblivion
TWELVE
I was busy with my motorcycle, a bit of care on the engine, a bit of tinkering, cleaning, that sort of things, that's why I didn't hear her message comming in. Only after more than fifteen minutes did I see that she had sent me something. I quickly answered her when I saw it, only I didn't get any response back. I waited and waited, but after an hour of waiting I started to get a little worried. It wasn't like her to not respond back quickly. Especially now that she has her old phone back, she may have had a hard time with the memories that came back.
There are a lot of moments that I find it so tough, I want to hold her in my arms so desperately. I waited so long to have her back with me. And now that she's so close again, she seems even further away from me than ever. The distance I feel from her to me is even more crushing than when we only had contact through a screen. I get it, it's not her fault. She did not choose this. I only wish she could look at me and see me. See who I am, what I meant to her, what she means to me. That she feels the same nervousness in her stomach as I do when I look at her. That she would have the same desire as I have, to feel my lips on hers.
I don't want to make her feel uncomfortable. And no matter how hard I try to pretend that I don't know her and play along in getting to know each other, I don't always succeed. If it shines through too much I do know her, she gets irritated. And I get it, I get it all. It's just so unfair, for me but especially for her. Despite wanting more, much more, I will never ask her for it. If all that lies ahead of us is friendship, I'll take it with both hands. When I said I was at her mercy, I meant it with all I have. I'm hers, even if she doesn't see it.
When it came to almost an hour and a half, I started to get really worried. So I decided to go to her house to check if everything was going well. Maybe I should have just called, because the one time I do something impulsively, I'm standing at her door like a stupid idiot in love. The way she opened the door surprised me, it was quite unexpected. But on the inside it made me laugh, I saw the Layana as I know her from our conversations. Confident, ready to take the fight. One of those things I admire her for.
----
I could kick myself, he hadn't heard from me for two hours, normally I respond within a few minutes. Of course he was worried, especially knowing that I had been busy with my old messages and photos. I quickly invited him in and made my apology. Offered him a drink and we sat together on the couch and chatted. Casualy for a change, without difficult questions, without tension. It felt nice, however it also gave me the chance to watch him. The dimples in his cheeks when he smiles are cute. The twinkle in his bright blue eyes when he's excited about something, is adorable. When he runs his hand through his hair to keep the hair out of his eyes, evokes a feeling in me that not very moral. Because then I see a small piece of a tattoo appear under his short sleeve, and is tense muscular arm then stands out. "Goddamn this man is so attractive" I think to myself. I try to hide it as best I can, but startle at my own thought. Somehow I am completely convinced to ask him to go with me, to Duskwood. I don't understand myself, I'm scared that I find him attractive and then I'm convinced that I want to be with him more.
"Jake?" I interrupt him, without having the faintest idea what he was talking about. He looks at me with narrowed eyes and a grin "You have no idea what I just said huh". "I'm not going to admit or deny that" I say with a playful laugh. "Mhm, sure, sure. Where were your thoughts then?" he raises an eyebrow teasingly. I pretend to be shocked by his ambiguous remark "It's none of your business yet," I say with a wink. Inside, I'm yelling at myself what are you doing!! stop flirting so openly!! but my mouth happily continues. "Yet?" he looks at me with toying eyes. "Yes, yet. You never know what could happen in now and say and a while?" I keep looking at him with a seductive smirk. Layana stop this! Oh god what am I doing. Don't panic, don't panic. "We will see." he says most assured of himself, which makes him damn sexy, and I don't want that image in my head too, which is actually too late already. "But you wanted to ask something?" he continues in a most casual way. Bewildered by my own inner conflict, I stare at him. "Yes... there was indeed something I wanted to ask." I put my finger to my mouth to think, but my brain is blank. Now he laughs out loud and wide "Am I such a big distraction to you? Shall I go then?". "No! You stay, I need you." I look at him, and then I realize what I just admitted. My face couldn't get any redder and hide it behind my hands. Still hiding in my hands, I mumble "I can't ask that now, that's even more embarrassing.". "What can be so embarrassing that you cannot ask me?" I hear he's trying to hide his laugh. I sigh deeply, and don't look up from my hands as I quickly throw out the question "Will you come with me to Duskwood?".

~DUSKWOOD~
(So,this time i'm following a thought i had days ago. I don't know what is going to happen,i don't have a plot. I'm just writing and hoping for the best xD Could be sad, could be happy...i could also stop here xD but i hope not. So,enjoy!)
Hold my Hand
After a year of unsuccessful searches, which led MC and the group to nothing more than tiny clues, they had finally managed to get news on Jake.
In their last moments together,Jake told MC that he needed to run. To hide and be in the shadows for a bit. He told MC he loved her and ran away without looking back. But some time after Richy's death and Hannah's rescue, the FBI finally managed to catch him. The news reached MC thru a message.
"They got him. We need to meet. A."
MC didn't take long to understand who the message was from, what she didn't understand was why the sender was Alan. Did the Duskwood Police Captain, whom they had avoided for so long for obvious reasons, now worried about a "criminal"? Or maybe it was just a trick to catch Jake by taking her as hostage? Whatever the reason, once she read the message she felt anxiety building in her body.
Now she was on a train bound for Duskwood. She had already changed two, trying not to attract too much attention. If Jake had been caught, maybe the FBI was also on her trail, given the bond between them. Maybe she was just giving in to paranoia. In the end she didn't know anything about Jake, she had certainly been by his side to find Hannah, but she didn't know anything about him. Nor why the government was looking for him.
"Duskwood, central station."
The "sensual" voice of the speaker, distorted and robotic, distracted her from her thoughts. She picked up her backpack and, keeping the peak of her cap low, got off the last carriage of the train.
She had never seen Duskwood, exception made for the pictures Jessy had taken for her during that surprise tour. Which saddened her not a little, remembering how Jessy was subsequently attacked by the MWAF. And worst of all was the knowledge that the bastard was none other than Richy.
MC: "Alan I suppose..."
She could not have recognized him in normal situations, they didn't know each other. She promised him, "that" night, to let him have a speech with her. But she didn't keep the promise. Not so nice of her,but the Police Chief have never made it a problem. Alan knew that MC wouldn't deny him a meeting if he asked her again, but after all that had happened, the cop had decided not to press any further.
So now the problem led them to not know each other, but Alan had the good idea of wearing a blu baseball cap with a gold police badge on the front. At least they wouldn't waste time looking for each other in the crowd that occupied the station at that moment.
A: "What got me? The mustaches?"
She smiled awkwardly shaking the hand he was holding out to her.
MC: "In my mind you were really...different..."
And it was true. She had always imagined Alan as a man on his fifty, not too tall, with thin brown eyes and curly hair. Instead, what was in front of her was maybe a 35/40 years old man with light brown hair, cut short, blue eyes and a dirty blond mustache. He had a well-trained physique and he was really, very tall.
A: "...like what?"
MC: "Well...not so tall,to say one. What are you, a giraffe?"
Alan laughed as he loosened their hands and gestured for her to follow him to the parking lot.
A: "I'm not so tall. You are too short, Tic-Tac."
She pouted pretending to be offended, but she found his joke funny. At least that wholesome humor had loosened a little the knot she kept feeling in her stomach.
When they got to the car, MC was a little surprised to see what she thought was Alan's personal car. They would have attracted too much attention with the police car. She walked over to the passenger seat door and before she could open it, Alan did it for her. Not that she didn't appreciate it, but she wasn't used to these gentlemanly things. Before taking her seat she looked at him. He could see the concern in the girl's eyes.
MC: "Wait a moment..."
A: "What?"
MC: "Not that i don't trust you, after all we've been through...but i have to ask. Why you? How is it that you are so close to Ja-"
He jumped when he heard those words and shut her up. He brought the index finger of his right hand to his mouth, mimicking her to be silent.
A: "Not here. Not now. I'll tell you everything once in the safe house."
MC: "...but..."
A: "Please MC, trust me like i trusted you back then. This is not the place, nor the time to talk about 'this' matter."
She had so many questions to ask him. First of all, why they couldn't speak freely? Something was wrong and now that they were in the car, driving around the streets of Duskwood, MC could see that Alan was as taut as a violin string. He kept looking around as he drove, often shifting his gaze to the rearview mirror to check that he was not being followed. Maybe, she thought, the situation was even worse than she thought.

• denki most definitely is obsessed with one direction and their solo careers. i can just see him being a huge directioner, and having a lot of harry styles things.
• going along with the 1D obsession, i feel like he loves taylor too (like bakugo lol). he's very open with his love for taylor, which you find adorable. and if you're a swiftie too, then it's definitely a match made in heaven. (he also has a burning hatred for jake gyllenhaal).
• since he's not the smartest, he will always ask you for help on things he doesn't understand. he always thinks he's annoying for asking so many questions, but you're always more than happy to help him.
• when you guys are doing training and other things in your hero costumes, he'll go up to you and slide his glasses on your face. which they are too big on you, so they start to slide off your face; he finds it adorable.
• when you guys started getting closer, he started to stop talking and hanging out with mineta, and he realized how creepy he was.
• for christmas, he got you guys matching pikachu onesies, which you wore in front of everyone along with your custom santa hats.
• this man is a SUCKER for cuddles and head scratches:
it was a long day of training, and both you and denki were very tired. you plopped down on his bed after you changed into one of his shirts, which he did the same.
you were laying on your back, so denki decided to crawl on top of you and lay there. you let out a small 'omph' as he rested his head in the crook of your neck. he sighed, tickling your neck. you raise your hand and place it on his head, giving it a nice rub. you comb through his blonde locks with your fingers, receiving a soft groan from him.
you giggle, softly digging your fingers into his hair further, beginning to scratch his head. he hums and buries his face deeper in your neck, "don't stop." you could feel the smile on his face, which made you smile.
——————
• when denki short circuits, everyone else laughed at him, which actually hurt his feelings. everyone but you. you never made fun of him, which made him develop feelings for you.
• you guys have some sort of matching gear for your hero costumes. you get a new piece of gear? denki’s got it too. obviously not the same hero costume, but you guys have a lot of similar gear and gadgets.
• if you’re doing your nails he’ll ask you to do his too! he loves to paint his nails. but he’s not very good at it, so he’ll ask you to do it for him. and when you’re painting your own nails, he’ll join in and you guys will have a spa day.
• you and denki will definitely have a lot of inside jokes between the two of you. like if you’re hanging with the rest of he bakusquad and you see something or someone says something that relates to your inside joke, you guys will start giggling n shit. the squad gives you weird looks, but they smile seeing how happy and cute you guys are together.
• if you have a pet, denki will become their new bestie. he loves animals, and mostly cats. if you’ve got a cat, you bet your cat’s gonna love him more than you.
• overall, denki is an amazing boyfriend, even tho he’s a very chaotic boy (in a good way tho!)

Sunghoon as your boyfriend
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n: as usual with these bf headcanons, im sorry it was so messy TT also thank you so so much for over 100 followers !! <33
open to read <3
tbh it got to a point where literally everyone but you two knew that you were crushing on each other..
Sunghoon can very oblivious sometimes, and so can you
Sunghoon can very oblivious sometimes, and so can you
tbh it was literally until jake had to spell out to sunghoon how he obviously had a crush on you which is what prompted him to actively make moves on you (lmao)
And, sooner or later, you both ended up dating :D
Sunghoon is be pretty awkward early on in the relationship so it’s just so so precious ):
so every small moment of skinship between you both has butterflies instantly swarming in your stomachs and your cheeks heating up like crazy ):
And sunghoon will think about it for ages in his bed later at nighttime, replaying the moment you took his hand in yours and interlocked your fingers with his
He’d think about how soft your hands felt in his hold and how fuzzy the feeling made him feel, and sunghoon isn’t one to freak out easily but gee the butterflies you made him feel (he will never tell you about that though)
Many late night dates!
I say this for literally every enhypen member but to me this concept just fits so well with all of them
Sunghoon likes going on late night walks with you in private (and safe!) parks where he knows that you two will be completely alone
He loves walking around with you for hours, chatting away about random weird topics and sharing shy eye contact with each other
Or he will also like to lay down on the grass with you, backs on the plush ground and stargazing together 💔
He’ll admire your side profile and smile at your awed expression as you stare up at the stars, thinking about how pretty you look under the moonlight
But then when you turn to face him he’ll look away and pretend he was never looking in the first place🙄
To me sunghoon seems the type to silently appreciate you and the small moments he shares with you.
You could be sitting across from him eating messily while ranting about your day and he’ll simply nod, barely listening and instead watching the way your moth moves and how prettily your lips create shapes as you talk
Or you could be simply doing nothing at all, instead laying on the sofa on your phone and he’ll look up from his own now and then, quietly reflecting and feeling thankful for how you’re in his life
):
In public he is very much the silent observer! but not in a creepy way, it’s all loving of course, especially since hoon has said before that he’s not the best with expressing his words and feelings
So he instead shows his love and appreciation to you through small acts of service and gifts!
It’s small things that he does for you, such as tying your shoelaces for you, pulling you onto his other side when you’re asking along a busy road so he is the one one the road side instead or buying what he knows is your favourite snack to surprise you with!
I think that he will also ask jay for tips on what to cook for you hehe. He likes to surprise you and pls I just see him standing wearing an apron as he tries to follow the recipe jay gave him so he can make you your favourite food for you to eat the next day )):
Many cafe dates!!
Have you seen that picture of him sipping from a drink as he sits at a cafe table?? yeAH WELL
takes you out to his favourite cafes all the time 😁😁
going on the lookout for best cafés on your dates is YOUR THING i see it
Sunghoon honestly treasures you so much and although he doesn’t express it in words often, he really thinks about you a lot ): so many little things remind him of you its ridiculous.
he’ll see something and go like “oh!” which confuses the other members but its just because he saw something that made him think of you lol
He is comfortable enough with you to be vulnerable in front of you!
At first when you both started dating he was reallyyyy shy since he is an introvert.. but ofc soon the ice boy melted and he eventually became so much more comfy around you :D
so yes park sunghoon does share a lot of his weird thoughts and personality with you lmao
but its just bc he trusts you and knows that you wont judge him ):<
Takes you on ice skating dates where he teaches you how to skate
Will come up with a simple routine with you
I’m gonna cry I’m gonna pass out I can’t take this I’m tearing up TAKE MY PHONE AWAY FROM NE AT THIS
he will come up with ): simple ice skating routines with you ): where he spins you around and holds both your hands steadily as he skates backward and guides you forward, making breathless eye contact while he rests his forehead against yours, smiling softly
🧍🏻‍♀️🧍🏻‍♀️🧍🏻‍♀️🧍🏻‍♀️🧍🏻‍♀️
although when you do end up falling he laughs 🙄 he is so rude i stg
but he then helps you back up of course, holding your gloved hands in his softly since they took the most impact of ur fall
he’ll massage them gently in his, concerned and telling you to be more careful next time and showing you how to regain your balance when you feel yourself slipping.
“aha like you will even need to use that technique anyways y/n because your ice prince will save you from falling.”
sighs. anyways
Whenever he catches you staring at him (which is 99% of the time when you’re with him because well, duh), he will the hELL out of you lmao
He teases you pretty often anyways
“If you’re just going to continue staring at me this whole time then just take a photo instead y/n, it lasts longer you know 😐.”
“I know I’m handsome y/n. Instead of making it so obvious with your googly eyes then don’t be afraid to say it too. I don’t bite 🙂👎.”
Is so proud of himself whenever he gets you flustered at his comments because as much as it embarrasses you, what he says is true </3 and you don’t deny it
But then when YOU tell him how attractive he is in a teasing way it’s HIM that starts blushing LMFAO
“The view is so pretty.” You said, sighing out as you stood next to sunghoon on the top floor balcony.
“Yeah, Seoul is so beautiful.” Your boyfriend commented, nodding as he looked down at the blinking lights from down below.
Frowning, you tilted your head as you stared at him. “Oh, I wasn’t  talking about that.”
Looking up, sunghoon looked at you in confusion. “What do you mean then?”
“I meant the view is so pretty. You’re the view.”
Gets so flustered PLSJDKSJS he looked away from you and ignored you for the next 5 minutes while he tried to compose himself and pretend like he was not affected by what you said
You simply laughed at how red his ears had become and how he ignored your teasing remarks indifferently when he was actually dying inside at what you said
Or other times when you compliment him he will be really smug about it too lmao
He values your opinion, even if it’s something about the new jacket he wore and how it looks nice on him
You bet he will wear that jacket 372837 more files after that and uploaded it on Twitter for engenes too (;
All because you complimented him once
It gets to the point where jay and jungwon tease him about why he is constantly wearing the same thing every day and whether it’s something to do with you LMAO
boy gets so shy 😭😭😭
Sunghoon likes it when you run your hands though his hair ): especially at the back of his head where you tug at his strange gently, especially since his hair is pretty long rn
It’s so soothing to him to feel your nails gently rake through his mullet and massage his scalp, it instantly makes his eyes shut and sleepiness take over.
I feel like sunghoon isn’t that big on cuddles? But when you both sleep together he always pulls you in closer to him subconsciously ):
Head pats from sunghoon ✔️
Kisses with sunghoon!
When you both first started dating you had to initiate everything and he would get so flustered after
But after you had been dating sunghoon for a while and you kiss, he’ll do this thing where he looks at you with lidded eyes and stares at your lips and he kNOWS how good he looks when he does that
Such a tease..
Will cup the back of your neck and bring you in
his hands gently roam around your waist or place themselves onto your back to hold you close to him
Kisses with sunghoon are usually pretty slow and can last a while, so you’re always left feeling breathless when you finally pull apart
Nibbles your lips to tease you hehe
He doesn’t really give you short kisses apart from when he’s feeling bursts of happiness and really excited about something! Or when he wants to thank you
Also Hoon likes to also keep your scrunchie on his wrist if you wear any
Idk, he just likes it [:
Hoon also likes to take many pretty photos with you too, it’s so aesthetic TT
Kisses your forehead whenever he says bye to you on his way to complete his schedule for the day 🥺
Shows Jake and jay pictures of you all the time lol
The 02z definitely don’t miss the blush on his cheeks whenever he tells them about how cute you are 🙄
Sunghoon cutest bf ): he doesn’t reall like to show affection for you in front of other people but when y’all are alone?
Phew, the boy might be an ice prince but whenever he is around you.. let’s say that perhaps you seem to melt him a lil bit (:

Blind Trust
Bucky x Fem!Avenger
Set to: As the World Caves In (Cover by: Sarah Cothran)
Warnings: Main character death, blood/violence, betrayal, fluff
It was meant to be a simple recon mission. Steve didn’t like sending the two of you on missions alone. He didn’t like the thought of not just losing both of you, but you two losing each other. But you both had so many successful missions under your belt, you insisted.
You and Bucky had loved each other from the moment you met. Steve was always worried his pal wouldn’t find true love after everything he’d been through. When SHIELD recruited you, you were the perfect fit. Just as skilled as Black Widow, no family, no real friends, fluent in English, French, Russian, Spanish, and Italian. You were ready to serve something bigger than yourself. You quickly made your way up the ranks and became an integral part of the Avengers team. Your super powers were your trusting physical features, your ability to blend in anywhere, and your deadly, but easy smile.
Those things made you a good agent, but they also stole the heart of the infamous Winter Soldier.
Love became second nature between the two of you. Attached at the hip, always training together, reading together, eating together, and sleeping together.
Now, you both found yourselves at what you thought would be a recently abandoned Hydra base. Your mission: collect any data left, scavenge for any remaining files, maps, and plans. This base was rumored to be abandoned recently and hastily. Your inside man said his Hydra unit had received notice that the Avengers had been made aware of their latest site and experiments.
You trusted this agent. He never gave you false information, he never allowed your team to go in blind. Until now. He had started at SHIELD with you, in your graduating class of new agents. That was 10 years ago. A few years after that, he was sent off to be recruited by HYDRA, or attempted to be recruited. It was difficult for agents to make the transition. You were sad to see him go, you liked Jake. He liked you. But you were grateful to know a good man would be on the inside.
When you entered the facility you found it very much not abandoned. You were ambushed. Bucky barely had time to react before 3 agents were on him. You felt yourself go deep down and into survivor mode. Your throwing knives were out of your hands and into the throats of the closest two agents that came for you before you knew you were moving.
You both made your rounds, fighting side by side for what felt like an hour. Once you knew no more agents were coming, you glanced at each other panting and exhausted. He didn’t look too beat up, you’d seen him in worse shape. He gave you a slight nod and you made your way to retrieve your knives before searching the remaining parts of the building.
You made your way to the basement levels and found Jake beaten and bloody, barely alive. You ran to his side and called for Bucky. You had an eerie feeling while assessing his injuries. Why was he here alone?
“They found me out! They thought they killed me and left me here for you both to find me.” Jake half screams to you.
Bucky has moved deeper into the cell with you. He didn’t like this either, but didn’t know why. You helped Jake to his feet, turn around and place him on a chair. You and Bucky exchange glances, and that’s when you realized what was off.
Turning back around you ask “Jake, how did they know it would be just me and Buc-“ but it’s too late. Jake is up and out of the cell, locking it behind him.
You can’t believe it. Bucky can’t believe it.
“It had to be you two first. We need Steve Rogers nice and emotional when he comes to find you. Mistakes will be made. This is the end of the line for the Avengers.”
You begin pleading with him. Never in a million years would you think that Jake would allow himself to be influenced by such hate. But that’s how it starts isn’t it? Hydra has brainwashing down to a science. You should’ve seen this coming.
After Jake laughs and walks away, you hear him trigger a timer not so far away. Just enough time to get himself out, you assume.
When the end came, you stripped off your gear. Bucky took off his leather jacket, his gun holster, you removed your knives, your jacket. You wanted to hold each other as Bucky and Y/N. Not as Avengers.
You wanted to say everything ever left on the table. Instead, you just held each other stared into his soul. You’re memorizing each other’s features. His strong jaw, your big eyes. He pushed some bloody hair out of your face. You held his waist. You both tried to not cry, always strong for each other.
As you heard the first bombs go off in the distance, he finally spoke.
“Y/N, I have never not loved you. You saved me after I left Wakanda.” His eyes are glossing over. You tried not to mirror him, but you realized your tears were already falling thru the gun powder stuck to your cheeks. You wondered if you looked as beat up as he did. A black eye forming over his perfect face. You didn’t care. You had the privilege of seeing him laugh, smile, cry, be pissed off, and feel loved up close for 5 years now. That’s what you thought of in this moment as the next round of bombs went off. You realized that that they were leveling the entire facility.
“Buck, you’ve kept me going through my darkest moments. Let’s do it one more time.”
He studies you for a moment more. It seems like his life is flashing before his eyes, but he’s staring at you.
“So how would you rather die? Poison or electrocution?” He asks.
Ah yes, the game you’ve played for as long as you can remember. It hits a little different right now.
“Hmmm” you say, “I think electrocution. Short and sweet, nighty night.” He laughs even though he’s holding you a bit harder, as the noises around you become more violent. “A knife fight or drowning?” You ask.
“Damn, that’s a hard one. Seeing as I’m more of a skilled knife fighter than YOU are, I think drowning would be my downfall. Never enjoyed swimming that much.” You giggle at his taunting, even as you're both looking death in the eyes.
There's a long pause. Both of you not really wanting to continue the game you both so loved playing during your free time.
“Y/N, I only have a few regrets in my life, but the main one is not making you my wife.”
“Really, Bucky? That is the most 1940’s shit you’ve ever said to me” you laugh. “What matters is that I can say whole-heartedly that I’m grateful in my short life that I got to spend it with you.”
You hear the ceiling in the cell you’re trapped in start to crack. You both look up and at then at each other one last time.
“I love you, Y/N”
“I love you, Bucky. Thank you for being in my life and choosing me.”
“There’s no one else, Y/N. No one else.”
He smiles at you one last time as you hear the ceiling start to cave in. Before everything goes black, you hear him say “Goodnight, love.”
You lean in one last time to kiss him. You’re holding on to each other with every last ounce of energy you have. “Goodnight, Bucky, I’ll see you soon.”

Nerd 14
Tumblr media
Previously on Nerd
There weren’t many things considered as decorations in the house on the corner of Inglewood Street. The old stone house, with its black shutters and manicured lawn hid behind a stately oak and the polished Porsche in the driveway, glowed as a beacon in the neighborhood, of perfection and wealthy modesty. Inside, it was less populated than one might expect, never fully lived-in, at least not to the casual observer.
Clarke moved her way down the stairs as she balanced the bag on her shoulder, fully prepared for work and then studying with her girlfriend on a fairly boring Saturday night. For the first time in a long time, she looked at the sparse frames of pictures of her family.
Unsure of what made her pause, she furrowed, pushing her eyebrows tightly together and leaning into the image of her mother and father on a random date when they were together in college. They were carefree and at some bar trivia night. Abby hugged Jake’s bicep and nearly hid in his shoulder as he leaned forward, other arm lifted to interject an answer. He was smiling wide despite his eagerness, the flash ricocheting off part of his large glasses. His hair was floppy and fully, swept to the side and neatly arranged, while Abby was brimming with life. Clarke loved the candid picture because sometimes she looked at it, and these were two people who had entire lives and experiences and she forgot that. They probably got butterflies like she did when Lexa smiled at her. They probably spent hours excitedly waiting to see the other.
In that picture, her mother wasn’t the person she was now, though both seemed insanely far away from Clarke. This college-aged person was alive, vibrant, in-love, awake, eager, and not cheating on her husband. The body language alone showed how much she adored him.
In that picture, her father was the funny, charming man she remembered, not the angry, frustrated man who was skin and bones, who couldn’t eat, who couldn’t swallow, who had difficulties moving most days and remembering his own daughter others. He was alive as well. He was the man everyone wanted to sit beside for some reason, for som inexplicable reason he had this… he had a spark that drew those to him like a moth to a flame, except he was that flame, and he shared his light eagerly with those around him.
Clarke relaxed her face after a few moments of looking and seeing and trying to find some kind of detail in that picture that would indicate that the couple in it would know what their life would like like two decades later. There wasn’t a single indication, and that terrified her.
“Did you finish you math?” her mother’s voice called from the hallway, hearing her daughter shift and move to look at the next picture without seeing her first.
“Yes.”
The next image was a very tiny Clarke on her father’s shoulders and her mother hugging his waist as they all stood beneath a redwood tree. They had hiking gear, shorts, sunglasses, hats and sunscreen. They were all smiling. They were a family.
“Did you email me that draft of your personal essay for applications?”
Clarke gave up perusing, no longer feeling the yearn for that family unit that was far away. She rolled her eyes and stomped her way down the steps to find her mother sorting through envelopes and mail.
“No.”
“Why not?” Abby didn’t look up as she flipped.
“Because I’m a junior, and I have five months before applications are due.”
“That’s no excuse not to be prepared. Maybe if you didn’t spend so much time chasing after some gir--”
“Who am I chasing after?” Clarke scoffed, crossing her arms and peering at her mother. “Do you mean helping Lexa on her submission for film school? Do you mean tennis practice? Do you mean working part time? Do you mean having a social life?”
“Considerate that you can help someone else get into college.”
“It’s going to take her months to edit, which I can’t-- I don’t have to explain myself to you.”
That did it. Clarke knew it would. Clarke new an overt expression of her own independence would trigger her mother. She knew arguing and not appearing to care about college would give her the satisfaction of a righteous fight. She wanted it. It’d been brewing for about a week and a half, ever since Clarke said she was going prom dress shopping without her. Ever since Clark forgot to tell her about spending the night camping with Lexa and the film crew while the powered through the project. Ever since Clarke didn't’ come home for dinner last Tuesday and then raved about Mrs. Woods’ garlic chicken. Tiny things Clarke did with spite because she didn’t know what else to do, because she couldn’t do anything else.
Abby’s nostrils flared and Clarke jutted her hip, shrugging to herself as she dug for her phone, ready to go to work and escape the house and the persistent smell of medical equipment and cleaner that haunted her until she was about two blocks from the house.
“I’ll be home around midnight.”
“Like hell you will. You’ll be home right after your shift.”
“No,” Clarke paused as she turned to leave. “I’m going over Lexa’s to study. We’re watching a Cary Grant movie.”
“You’re under the misconception that you get to make your own schedule and plans without asking permission. But that is not the case, Clarke.”
“I’ve been doing fine.”
“You’ve barely been home. Your father is--”
“Right there, in that room, asleep. I know this because I spent the morning with him. We made pancakes and played a game of cribbage. We talked about school and Lexa and I showed him pictures of the past week of my life. And I helped him with his meds because he’s having a bit of a flare. I told him I’d see him in the morning for omelettes because we’ve been watching cooking shows together and he wants to try the french style. I know exactly what is going on with my father.”
She hadn’t meant to, but her voice began to raise as she spoke. Clarke felt her fist shake. She felt her muscles tighten and her jaw clench. She was okay with being considered lazy and unmotivated, but to be accused of negligence was uncalled for, especially from someone like her mother.
“Don’t you raise your voice! You are greatly mistaken as to the nature of our relationship. I am your mother, and I am sick of your attitude, and your priorities not being your father and your family or your education.”
“Lexa has nothing to do with any of that. Are you just mad I’m dating a girl? Or that I don’t care what you think anymore?”
Slightly taken aback by her daughter, by her words, by her actions, by her entire demeanor over the past few months and frankly just sick of dealing with being the bad guy.
“I don’t even know who you are anymore,” Abby shook her head.
“I could say the same thing.”
The two stared at each other before Clarke shook her head and adjusted her bag. She toyed with her keys in her pockets before checking her phone again.
“I’m going to be late for work. I’ll be back tonight.”
“You’re not going anywhere,” Abby insisted again. “You’re grounded indefinitely.”
“Except I’m not,” Clarke sighed and shook her head. “I’m not because I don’t care anymore. I genuinely don’t.”
“You’re going to. Give me your keys and your phone.”
“No.”
“I’m not joking, Clarke. You’re going to need to readjust your priorities and attitude.”
“I think you should take your own advice,” Clarke insisted as she reached the front door. Or are you too busy fucking Kane to realize that there is no more family here?”
With a satisfying slam, she yanked the door shut. The anger that was stationed in her shoulders dissipated with the noise and movement. Clarke stood there in the quiet of her perfect neighborhood, the flapping of the flag lazily moving in the spring breeze was all she heard at first. Then the birds came. Then a lawnmower started in the distance.
Clarke felt lighter than she’d felt in a long time. She also felt emptier than any other time in her life. It was officially the end, and now she had to deal with that because the anger and the hurt and the betrayal was all she’d had in her for what felt like months. It hadn’t made anything better, and it certainly ruined everything, but Clarke took some solace in the fact that now she could try to fill herself up with something else.
XXXXXXXXXX
The party at Bellamy Blake’s house was in full swing by the time Lexa made her way up the winding driveway and into the belly of the beast. She wasn’t sure how she ended up there exactly, except that her girlfriend texted and said to show up. That seemed to be enough of a reason, though Lexa wasn’t particularly prepared. They’d had plans. Quiet plans. Private plans. Movie plans.
And now Lexa was going to her girlfriend’s ex’s party.
She shoved her hands in her pockets as she moved through the crowd, clearly not getting the memo that jeans were not entirely good enough attire, and in fact she seemed to be extremely overdressed. Her eyes bugged slightly as she watched a girl from her physics class walk by in a very tiny, very teeny lime green bikini. Lexa became suddenly aware of the appeal of such things, as if she hadn’t noticed them before, but then MIchelle who sat diagonally in front of her third period looked like that and she gulped.
The music thumped loudly. The beats were rattling the walls and shaking the windows while the screams and giggles of her classmates sought to shatter glass. It wasn’t like the other parties she’d been to with Clarke. It wasn’t even like thrones Anya dragged her to when she visited. This was a night of debauchery and she hadn’t had time to prepare.
And as much as she saw everyone else wearing bikinis, she hadn’t thought about Clarke wearing one. She’d seen Clarke’s boobs before. That was nice. But there was something to her girlfriend in a bikini that was… good. Very good, even.
Lexa pushed her glasses up slightly on her nose and stared.
“What are you doing here?” Gus asked, approaching quietly. She didn’t move or say anything else, just stared from across the pool, the steam billowing upward to ward the sky while everyone seemed to glow blue and green and red, the lights alternating around them, the flames of the fire pits dancing to keep everyone warm. The warm glow of the lights inside were lost on the white-blue shade to the water.
“Lexa, focus,” he snapped his fingers in front of her face. “What are you doing here? Your sister would kill me if she knew you were at a Blake party.”
“How is it different than any other party?”
“It just is.”
“Because of the pool? I’ve been to pool parties.”
It hadn’t been since seventh grade and didn’t look like an episode of a CW show, but still, she’d been to a pool party with many of the same cast of characters that were currently on display. It was before puberty, but still.
“We need to get you home.”
“Clarke invited me.”
“It doesn’t matter. This isn’t your scene.”
“I can be in any scene. I’ve watched every John Hughes movie.”
“This is more of an episode of Euphoria than an 80s teen flick,” Gus sighed and took another swig from his cup. “And I fully believe you would fit in fine with Molly Ringwald.”
“That’s very kind of you to say,” Lexa nodded. “I’ll be fine.”
She took her eyes off of her girlfriend long enough to assure her friend that she was perfectly fine now. She was dating the head cheerleader. She’d been to parties and seen--
“Gus-- is that cocaine?”
“Okay, yeah, we have to get you out of here,” he shook his head and tossed his empty cup into a flowerbed.
“Is it really?” she asked, craning her neck as he pushed her forward. “I’ve never see that in real life before. People actually do that thing with the credit cards and dollar bills? Astounding. Where does one get cocaine?”
“You don’t need to know that.”
“I’m not going to do it. I’m just curious.”
They only made it a few steps before the ran into a sopping body. A tall, muscular, tan, perfectly chiseled and dripping body. It was the body of an actual god. It was the body of the perfect specimen, with biceps and the long swimmer cuts that pointed firmly toward his… his-ness.
“Gus, long time, man. How you been?” Bellamy Blake grinned before slipping his cup in his teeth as he hugged the other football player.
“Not too bad. Heard you’re heading to Oregon in the fall?”
“Yeah, partial scholarship. We’ll see what happens,” he shrugged. “Staying close?”
“Yeah, St. Johns, about three hours away.”
“Full ride?”
“Yeah. I got offered half to OSU, but would rather not have to pay anything.”
“No, that’s smart.”
The whole time they spoke, Lexa watched Clarke’s ex intently. She frowned to herself and wondered how her girlfriend broke up with him. He was effortlessly cool. He was huge. He looked like he knew how to go down on a girl, and Lexa was still apprehensive. She wished she could fast forward in life until she was really good at sex.
She watched him grin and sip from his red cup, meeting her eyes curiously as Gus explained something about his college recruitment process.
“I don’t think we’ve ever met before. I’m Bellamy.”
He held out his hand. And though she didn’t want to do it, she sighed and shook his hand.
“Sorry, I should have introduced you. This is Lexa.”
“Lexa… Lexa…” He mulled.
“Anya Woods’ sister.”
“Wow, you’re Anya’s little sister?”
“Yeah.”
“How is she? I forgot she had a little sister. I remember her little brother died-- oh shit.”
“Yeah.”
“We were just heading out,” Gus interrupted.
“I was actually just going to go talk to Clarke.”
“Why would you--”
Before anything else could be said, before anything else could transpire between the two of them, before Gus had to interrupt again, Clarke appeared, launching herself into her girlfriend’s arms, wrapping her own around her neck, her body still slightly damp from the pool she must have just climbed out of during the awkward introduction.
“You’re here. I’m so happy,” Clarke hummed against Lexa’s warm neck. She buried herself there, suffocating herself happily, slightly tipsy.
“I told you I’d stop by.”
Clarke kissed her girlfriend’s neck. She leaned most of her body against her there and giggled, oblivious to the eyes, too drunk to care about anything else happening.
“I am have the worst day. Maybe the worst week. Maybe the worst year ever. No, wait. Definitely the worst year, and today I finally told my mom everything and then left. So Yeah. It’s been terrible. I got drunk.”
“Not the healthiest coping mechanism.”
“Not a bit,” Clarke grinned, agreeing eagerly and with a wide grin. She leaned forward and kissed her girlfriend despite her words.
“You can be healthy tomorrow,” Lexa offered. “You okay?”
“As okay as can be.”
There was some throat clearing that happened behind them, and Lexa felt a burning in her ears and chest at the display, unaccustomed to it all.
“So this is your new girlfriend?” Bellamy asked, looking at the pair.
“Lex, I suppose you’ve met my ex,” Clarke gestured.
“Kind of.”
“Is this party a little much?”
“If I remember correctly, this was exactly the kind of thing you liked. We went to many a party in our tenure,” Bellamy shrugged, lazily leaning against a counter. “Things changed since I left, I guess.”
“I enjoyed not thinking,” Clarke offered. “You were great for that.”
Gus and Lexa looked between the two and then at each other. She was almost certain she didn’t know what was happening, but that certainly, something was, and she wasn’t sure how she felt about it.
“You moved on quick, huh?”
“Hey, step back,” Gus interrupted as Bellamy took a single step. “This is Anya’s sister.”
“Woods?” he furrowed. “You’re dating Anya Woods’ kid sister?”
“Yup,” Clarke nodded.
“I heard she was--”
“Standing right here,” Gus finished.
Lexa felt Clarke’s hand move into her own and she smiled despite the fact that she was picking up a drunk girl at her college guy ex’s party. There was a lot in that sentence she wasn’t happy about, now that she thought about it.
“You ready to get out of here?” Lexa asked innocently, ignoring the rest.
“I think we still have a few more shots lined up, Clarke,” Bellamy smiled and Lexa understood the need to punch.
Noticeably torn, she looked at her girlfriend and back at her ex before realizing that she was actually drunk, and that wasn’t good. Lexa smiled softly and rubbed her girlfriend’s back. She kind of imagined how it must have felt to implode and take her mother down with her. Lexa remembered the feeling of telling her father she was gay and sad. Clarke’s implosion didn’t seem as successful as her own, and Lexa was more than happy to try to help in whatever way she could.
“Can I stay at your place tonight?”
“Yeah,” Lexa nodded quickly. “I’ll text my mom to let her know.”
“You’re seriously leaving?” The college football player and terrible ex scoffed. “The night is still young. It’s barely after eleven.”
“Thanks for getting me drunk, but I should probably go do something better.”
“Thanks for showing me around,” Lexa offered nodding her head slightly toward the host before he could argue. “Have a good night. I’ll see you on Monday, Gus.”
“Get home safe,” the linebacker warned.
Slightly dumbfounded, Bellamy Blake stood there, hands on his hips as he watched his ex weave through the crowd of people and disappear. As much s everything stayed the same, he couldn’t shake the sinking feeling of change, and how averse he was to it.
XXXXXXXXXX
“Here, you can, uh,” Lexa quickly moved through her bedroom, leaving her girlfriend standing by the bed. “I have some old sweats if you want.”
Already, Clarke began taking off her pants, and Lexa quickly looked in the drawers of her dresser. She felt the tips of her ears burn slightly as she looked over her shoulder, her girlfriend slumping into the bed, pants lost to the floor.
“I knew I shouldn’t have gone to that party. I knew it,” Clarke sighed, rubbing her face with both hands to ride herself of the spinning. “But I didn’t care. I just wanted to… you know…”
“You had it out with your mom. You just anted to go far away. I get it.”
“Don’t be nice to me. I knew better than to go, especially to anything involving Bellamy Blake.”
“Why?”
“He doesn’t care about any of it. Just has drinks. I should have called you or like done something else.”
“You’re allowed to want to take a night off from a giant secret after a huge fight. And you don’t need my permission,” Lexa reminded her girlfriend, offering an old shirt.
“It was stupid.”
“Do you feel better?”
Gingerly, Lexa tugged at Clarke’s shirt, pulling it over her head until she flopped back down on the bed, her hair fanning out against the pillow. Agitated at herself, at her clothe, at the unfathomable uncontrollability to the entirety of her life, Clarke growled to herself as she tugged off her bra, tossing it to the side and gracelessly pulling on the shirt Lexa offered.
“I don’t feel better at all.”
It was certainly a pout, and Lexa did her best to ignore it. Instead, she slicked off the light beside the bed, and slid between the sheets next to Clarke. Lexa laid there until Clarke turned to face her, until she placed her hand on her neck and cheek.
“I’m sorry you had to pick me up.”
“It’s okay,” Lexa whispered.
“It’s not. I’m not like this… I don’t mean to be… I mean--”
“It’s okay.”
Clarke leaned forward, shifting beneath the blankets until their knees were touching. She moved to only push the hair from Lexa’s forehead and she paused before kissing her lips. She tasted the warmth of the tequila there and she didn’t care. Lexa signed.
“Please don’t give up on me anytime soon,” Clarke murmured. Stunned from the kiss, Lexa blinked in the dark and shifted closer.
“I wouldn’t ever.”
“I know you wouldn’t. I just had to say it out loud.”
“Okay.”
Lexa was certain she was going to get another kiss, but instead, Clarke dug her forehead under her girlfriend’s chin and pressed their bodies together, hugging her tightly and disappearing, being overwhelmed, anchoring herself to a steady force. Lexa rubbed Clarke’s back for a few moments until she fell asleep, and then she allowed herself the option of sleep.

On Monday it had dusted snow, but tragically, it had happened while you were in class. You hadn’t even known until you were leaving campus and had seen the lightest coating left on some spots of the grass by the treeline.
When you got back to the apartment, Josh was already there, stirring a huge pot of something on the stove. The room smelled like a restaurant.
“Josh, oh my god, it snowed and I missed it!” you exclaimed, tossing your jacket over the back of the chair.
He paused what he was doing to look up at you and chuckled. “Don’t worry, I promise that’s not the last time.”
“What are you making?” you asked, padding across the linoleum to peer over his shoulder.
“Vegetarian chili,” he answered, lifting a wooden spoon to your face. You blew on it for a moment before taking a taste. “It needs something, but I can’t figure out what.”
“I think it’s perfect,” you replied and meant it, suddenly excited to have a bowl of it.
He hummed at you. “Thanks, but it’ll be a while before it’s done.”
You watched as he swiped the scraps from vegetables from the cutting table into the compost bucket.
“You want to watch a movie tonight?” he asked.
You frowned back at him. “I wish I could, but I’ve got a lot of work to do on my presentation. I’m supposed to be reading it to the class in like two days.”
“Alright,” he agreed, just a shade on the solemn side. There was one thing you knew for sure, and it was that there was a lot you would endure to make sure you didn’t have to see him looking sad.
“I think I can still concentrate on it if I sit with you during a movie.”
He laughed under his breath at your bargain. “It’s okay, you can work in your room instead if you’d like. Or, you can have the living room and I’ll keep to my bedroom.”
You scowled at him and pointedly replied, “Don’t be stupid, Joshua. Okay, I’ll make you a deal. I’m going to work on my paper until dinner time, then we can watch a movie.”
“I’ll take that deal.” He reached out and took your hand, shaking it once in a faux professional manner.
“But, that means I have to work all night on it tomorrow,” you warned, looking directly into his eyes.
He just grinned back mischievously.
+++
“So, what happened?” you prompted, dipping a spoon into a cup of strawberry yogurt. Kate peeked up at you over the rim of her cup, crunching a piece of ice as she set it back down on the cafeteria table.
You had been expecting Josh to join you for lunch, but you’d gotten a text telling you that he had to bail to work on production stuff and he’d see you later. You had been a bit disappointed, but you had to admit that you envied his dedication. Plus, you had Kate to keep you company.
She poured more of her Diet Cherry Coke from the bottle into the cup of ice as she talked. “Not much, honestly.” She looked like she was going to continue until her gaze caught on something over your shoulder.
You were just about to turn your head to find what she was looking at when she spoke again abruptly, making you halt all movement. “Don’t look, but there’s a guy by the vending machine that keeps looking at you.”
You gave her a surprised look. “Oh, what does he look like?”
“He’s kinda handsome - short blonde hair, probably a little taller than you, a little shorter than me.” She paused, fiddling with the cap of her soda bottle as he snuck peeks at him from across the room. “Okay, quick look.”
You chanced a glance over your shoulder and hummed as you turned back to her. “I think I’ve seen him around. I don’t really know him though,” you stated. “Are you sure he’s not looking at you?”
She huffed amusedly at you. “Pretty sure he’s not.”
“Ooh, speaking of,” you started, reaching out and nabbing one of the waffle fries off of her plate and popping it into your mouth. “Have you been texting Jake?”
“Not really.” A scarlet-colored smile was forming on her lips.
“Does that mean yes?” you pressed when you realized that was all the information she was going to give you.
She shrugged at you, already collecting the remainder of her lunch to toss away with a cheeky look.
It wasn’t until your last class that you realized where you’d seen that boy before, and embarrassingly, it wasn’t until he was already sitting next to you.
You glanced over at him, trying not to look too surprised.
“Hey, do you care if I take this spot today?” he asked, seemingly knowing what your answer would be. You kind of wanted to say no, just to prove him wrong.
“Yeah, sure,” you agreed sweetly instead.
“I hope this isn’t weird, but I saw you at Bennie’s party on Saturday and I guess I just wanted to formally introduce myself. I’m Trevor.”
He held out an open palm for you to take, and you cautiously did. “It’s nice to meet you.”
He looked pleased that this was going as smoothly as he had clearly intended - not that he was lacking confidence, but something about his facial posture told you he had expected you to give him a hard time.
“So, I’m not going to lie, this is partly because you seem to be really good at this class, but would you like to study together sometime? We could maybe get coffee after class.”
You looked at him for a silent beat before replying. “What’s the other part of the reason?”
“You seem nice, and I think you’re very pretty,” he said honestly, giving you a smile.
You mirrored it back to him with a nod. “Coffee sounds nice.”
+++
You had made it a point to message Kate, telling her exactly where you were and who you were with, and you had texted Josh, telling him you’d be back in a couple of hours.
Trevor was nice and somewhat funny. He seemed a little intellectually shallow, but you couldn’t actually judge that from an hour and a half long hang out in a coffee shop.
When you got back to your apartment and checked your phone, you had six messages from Kate.
Oh i’m kinda shocked
Good for you tho
Is he cuter up close?
Are you guys actually studding
*studying
i’m going to ask around and see if anyone knows anything about him
You snickered to yourself as you were reading them, before quickly typing back, let me know what you find out tomorrow.
You were greeted by an empty living room and kitchen, but you could see that Josh’s bedroom light was on, so you headed that way as you shedded your extra layers of clothing.
You knocked on the door frame, though the door was wide open to reveal Josh laying out on his bed with a lit joint between his lips and Penny on his bedside table. Folk music was playing from his laptop in a tinny quality.
He peeked an eye open at the sound of your entrance, greeting you with a smile.
“You’re not falling asleep with a lit spliff, are you?”
“This is my second one,” he replied as if that was supposed to answer your question or quell your concern. “You want some? Or do you want to work on your paper?”
You ran your teeth over your bottom lip. “I finished my paper in class today. My professor gave us the whole period to work on it.”
He perked up then. “I can’t help but notice that wasn’t a no.” And after a pause he finished, “And congratulations - I’m proud of you.”
You gave him an awkward thumbs up that he promptly barked a laugh at.
 “You wanna?”
“I’ve never smoked before,” you reminded him like it might change his mind.
“C’mere. I’ll help you.”
You held a finger up at him. “Hang on, I’m going to change. Don’t look at me like that, I don’t want my new sweater to smell like pot, dude.”
You returned back in your pajamas, still nervous, but now comfy. He patted the spot in front of him on his bed, prompting you to clamber on. Once you were situated, you tugged his comforter over your shoulders from where it was bunched up at the bottom of his bed.
“Are you good?” he asked.
You nodded at him, nervous enough that he could sense it.
“I’m going to shotgun you, okay?” He put his hand on your knee for comfort, and you had to admit that the touch helped ground you.
“Okay,” you replied quickly.
“Okay?” he prompted again, looking less convinced.
“What does shotgun mean?” you whispered like it was a secret, making him giggle into his shoulder.
“I’m going to blow the smoke into your mouth. Since it’s your first time, I don’t want you to get super high.”
“Oh. Yeah, that wouldn’t be good,” you agreed.
“Okay, I’m going to take a drag, and you’re going to open your mouth and suck in the smoke when I blow it out.”
You watched him raise the paper to his lips, the cherry turning bright orange as he inhaled. It wasn’t until he leaned forward with a closed mouth that you realized how...intimate the moment was.
You weren’t positive he wasn’t going to press his lips directly to yours until you opened your mouth and pulled in his exhale.
“Hold it in a second if you can,” he instructed, his voice a bit deeper from the smoke.
You did as you were told, grimacing as you exhaled. “It tastes like dirty socks.”
He snorted a laugh, tipping his head back until it was rested against the wall.
“I’m not sure what I expected though, because it also smells like dirty socks,” you continued, prompting his laughing to continue until he was sighing contentedly.
“That’s cute,” he said through a grin. “Innocent.”
You could feel your cheeks warming by the second. You rolled your eyes at him playfully.
“Do you feel anything?” he asked, sitting back up to attend to you.
You shook your head. “Not really,” you admitted.
“You wanna try again? You can just take a hit yourself if you want.”
“Actually could you do it again?” you asked, embarrassed, but not enough so that you were willing to do it alone.
He gave you a grin, lifting the blunt back to his lips, but this time when he leaned forward, the fingers of his right hand found your jawline, pulling you into him too. When he blew the smoke to you, it was just inches from your lips, and this time you drank it in, forcing it deep into your lungs and holding it there.
It started to hit you moments after you exhaled it - this pleasant, warm feeling.
“Hang on,” you said excitedly, throwing the blanket off of you as you scrambled to get off the bed. When you returned you had a little speaker and your phone. The playlist that the two of you had collaborated on for cleaning days started playing, and even though he was laying out flat on his bed, you could see his lips turn up into a smile.
You laid next to him, resting your head on his arm and giving a pleasant sigh.
“What’s it feel like?” he asked, a rasp behind the words. He lolled his head to the side to look at you.
“Warm and fuzzy. Kinda like being in love or seeing a really cute kitten. But also kinda like being on a sailboat in the middle of...I don’t know, some European sea. I can’t think of a single one right now if I’m being honest though.”
When you met his eyes, he was grinning like the Cheshire Cat. “Damn, that’s awesome.”
He sat up on his elbow and reached past you to grab something from his nightstand. You were going to look and see what it was, but staring at the little speckles of plaster on his ceiling was suddenly the best thing you’d ever experienced.
“Do you always wear cologne?” you asked, suddenly unsure if you were talking really slowly or if your brain just couldn’t process the sound on time.
“Usually.” When you were able to look over at him, he had a bag of Tootsie Pops by his side, one of the sticks hanging out of his mouth. “You want one?”
You agreed by holding out your hand, letting him give you whatever flavor chance had picked for you.
He had unwrapped it already, which you thanked him for as the flavor of grape hit your tongue.
“What flavor did you get?” you asked, turning over so you could lay on your stomach, head propped up by your hands.
“Cherry,” he replied through a smile, opening his mouth to show you after he asked, “Is my tongue red?”
You giggled at him. “Yeah, it definitely is.”
There was a long, comfortable pause, but you were in no state to determine how long it lasted.
“I went on a date today.” It came out like an admission, despite your efforts to keep the statement casual.
He had an impressed look on his face ”Oh, yeah? With who?”
He sat up with what looked like some effort until he was sitting cross-legged. You breathed a laugh, casting your eyes to the pendant of his necklace where it rested against his sternum.
“This guy, Trevor.”
The shocked smile he gave you felt a little surreal in your state. “I didn’t know you even knew any other people here.”
“I actually met him today,” you admitted.
“And you went on a date with him?” And before you could answer, he continued. “How did it go?”
“It wasn’t really a date, per se. We just had coffee,” you informed. “And, actually, I even bought my own. “
He raised his eyebrows at you until you realized he wanted you to answer the other part of his question.
“Oh, it was okay. I liked him.”
“Was he kind to you?” he asked, keeping his expression level.
You nodded. “Yeah, he was. He offered to get my coffee, but I didn’t want him to think he was like. Doing me some big favor, you know?”
Josh huffed a laugh. “That sounds about right. Sounds like you.”
“We made plans for him to come over on Thursday and study.”
Josh tossed the stick of his sucker across the room, landing it perfectly in the little trash can by his door. “Would you like me to be gone for that?”
You frowned at nothing in particular. “Two things. One, how did you just make that shot? I can’t even move. And two, no, why would I want you to go?”
He shrugged, popping another sucker into his mouth. “I’m full of surprises, you’ve just gotta stick around.”
“Well, I live here so I don’t think that’ll be a problem.” The way you had muttered made him smirk at you. “But no, you obviously don’t have to leave while he’s here. Actually, I’d prefer if you didn’t - I don’t know him very well.”
Josh looked up at you through his lashes for a moment. “Then I’ll be here.”
The both of you hung out on his bed for an indiscernible amount of time, and not once did you ever feel less high. You had intended to get up and brush your teeth, but it didn’t happen, and there was nothing you could do about it. Your eyelids started to feel heavier than you could ever remember them being - like something had ahold of your leg and was dragging you down into sleep.
The last thing you could recall was the sound of Josh’s smoked-out voice, quietly humming along to the chorus of a song and the visualization of the sound behind your eyes, sweeping back and forth between notes.

HbtP Epilogue Part 1:
The Party
I put the finishing touches on my make-up and stepped out of the bathroom, ready to celebrate Dan's birthday at Aurora. I was also semi-psyching myself up for the conversation I still needed to have with Phil, but with my newly dyed wine red hair and “hot as hell" outfit (Cleo’s words, not mine) I'd hoped that the conversation wouldn't be so hard. There was just one problem.
“Ok, I’m ready,” I announced to Jake as I stepped out of the bathroom.
“Finally!” he groaned as he stood up from the couch and put his phone away. “I don't know why you-" He cut himself off as soon as he laid eyes on me. “You- what?”
“It’s a skirt, Jake,” I twirled around, showing the knee length garment off.
“It- There’s- So much- Too much!” he fumbled.
I laughed and pulled my skirt up my thigh more to tease him, “I was thinking of going shorter.”
“No!” he exclaimed. “That’s short enough.”
“What’s wrong? You don’t think I should wear a skirt?” I smirked.
“Not around other men. Or women. People. People that aren't me,” he responded flustered. “Especially him!”
“Him? Him who?” I teased.
“You know who I'm talking about,” Jake narrowed his eyes.
“Do I?” I asked playfully.
“The womanizer with the gaudy bat tattoo and the stupid hair,” Jake's expression soured just thinking about Phil.
I tilted my head, “Well I’m not going home with him tonight, am I?”
“Or we could just not go out at all,” he argued. He folded his arms as best as he could with his cast. “I like that idea better.”
“None of that! We are celebrating Dan's birthday tonight at Aurora and we’re all going to have fun and let loose. Even you!” I insisted.
“How can I relax when you’re dressed like that?” he whined. “When that skirt shows... I'm already getting a migraine.”
“You don’t need to give death stares to everyone, you know,” I shook my head.
“They’re all going to be looking at you,” he sighed.
“And they’re going to see you next to me. It’s you they’re going to be jealous of,” I tried to reassure him.
“All right, but we’re not staying too long,” Jake conceded.
“Just a couple of hours, I promise,” I smiled.
--
Saturday night at Aurora and it was crowded! I didn’t mind it so much, maybe Phil would never realize we were there. Everyone else had already arrived and were standing in a circle near the bar. We walked up and everyone’s faces lit up.
“There you are!” Cleo waved.
“Wow, MC, you look good,” Dan commented before downing his whisky.
“That you do!” Lilly agreed.
I could hear Jake groaning quietly. He probably thought no one else could hear him.
“Thank you, Dan, Lilly,” I smiled. Dan immediately handed me my own glass of whisky. “Hi, nice to see you too,” I laughed.
“It’s my birthday and we still haven’t shared a bottle together!” he insisted.
I shook my head and took the glass. “That’s whisky all right,” I winced.
“It’s good, isn’t it?” Dan grinned.
“We were just debating cavemen or astronauts,” Cleo explained.
“What? Seriously?” I laughed.
“Tell me you’re a cavemen girl,” Dan pleaded.
“He’s really taking this very seriously,” Lilly rolled her eyes.
“I don’t think you can underestimate the astronauts that easily though,” Thomas argued.
“Right, astronauts have a better understanding of strategy,” I nodded.
“No, cavemen win, every time,” Jake shook his head. “They’re ruthless and will do anything to survive. Humanity is a foreign concept to them. Astronauts will get caught up in ethics.”
“I never thought I’d say this, but I agree with hacker boy,” Dan downed another glass of whisky. “The world must be ending!”
“I didn’t take you to be Team Cavemen,” Hannah commented to Jake.
“Cavemen are truly terrifying people,” his eyes widened as he spoke. “The astronauts have to give up their humanity to stand a chance.”
Hannah looked down at Jake’s cast, “How’s your arm?”
“It’s healing. My physical therapist says I’m making good progress,” he smiled. “How are you?”
Hannah sighed, “Less nightmares so I guess that’s progress.”
“How did you manage to get a black cast?” Lilly remarked.
“They gave me color options so I chose black,” Jake replied innocently.
“Don’t they usually offer that to kids?” Cleo whispered to me.
“Shh, the nurses all fell for his tale of heroics,” I laughed. “He could’ve asked for caviar and they would’ve found him some.”
“What!? They just kept treating me like trash!” Dan whined.
“Maybe you needed to come up with a better story for your accident,” Cleo pointed out.
“Something better than ‘it wasn’t the whisky!’” I teased. We all laughed.
“Hey, MC, are you still using your secret identities?” Cleo asked inquisitively.
“Hmm, as far as Duskwood PD is concerned, yes. It’s getting kind of bothersome now though. Why?” I replied questioningly.
“Oh it’s just you're still wearing those wedding bands,” she smirked. “You didn’t get hitched, did you?”
I looked down at the ring on my finger and blushed, “No, I must’ve put it on the wrong hand out of habit. It’s a promise ring.”
I went to move the ring to the other hand, but I received the most disappointed look from Jake.
Cleo laughed, “Clearly it’s not just a promise ring!”
“Are those wedding bells I hear?” Lilly teased.
“What? Are you engaged?” Hannah chimed in.
I grabbed the next glass from Dan before responding any further. “It’s complicated,” I blushed harder.
“No it’s not, we are engaged,” Jake clarified.
“I told you you have to do it properly,” I muttered under my breath.
Jake smiled, “I will, but we’re still informally engaged.”
The girls all chorused their excitement. I wanted to hide under the bar out of embarrassment. Dan waved to the bartender for more whisky and promptly handed it to me.
“You need this more than I do,” he joked.
“Engaged, huh?” a voice chimed behind me. “Well congratulations,” the voice mocked.
I turned to see Phil standing behind me. Jake squeezed my hand.
“Um, hi Phil,” I strained to stay calm. “I want to apologize about how things went down.”
“Oh, water under the bridge,” Phil brushed it aside a bit too easily. “What I really want to know is when you were going to tell me I had my sister’s murderer memorialized on the wall next to her.” He spoke quietly so it was hard for the others to hear, but the pain and anger in his voice was unmistakable.
“Phil, when we were here, I had absolutely no idea,” I explained. “Believe me, it was just as shocking for me.”
Phil laughed mockingly, “No it wasn’t. What you felt was nowhere near what I felt. And if your words are anything to go by, he knew. He stayed in my bar knowing full well. So, spare me the fake sympathy.” Phil glared at Jake, who glared right back.
“Ugh, Phil, Jake didn’t know how to tell me nevertheless tell you. I had to work it out myself,” I rubbed my forehead. “It’s not something you can just come out and say.”
“At any point you could’ve told me! Any point! You owed me that much!” Phil snapped. “I had to hear it from a drunk Dan!”
“I’m sorry, Phil,” I responded sincerely.
“I'm sorry too that I didn’t get to torch his corpse before you buried him,” he sighed. “Best I could do was torch his photo.”
I released Jake’s hand to give Phil a hug, much to Jake’s disapproval. Phil settled a bit in the hug and eventually hugged back. However, Phil extended that hug a bit long, which made me suspect a war of looks. When Phil finally let go, he smirked and walked off. Jake’s expression was the worst I had seen yet. He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me into his side, holding me there possessively.
“So when is the wedding?” Cleo teased.
Lilly giggled, “Not soon enough it seems.”
“Ugh, we’re enjoying the quiet right now,” I shook my head. “There’s no rush for the next big thing.”
“So what is your plan?” Hannah asked.
“While Jake’s still recovering, we’re just taking time off,” I glanced at Jake. “He'll be working as a freelancer once he has two working hands again. It’s just a bit hard with one hand.”
“It must drive you mad,” Lilly sympathized with Jake.
“It’s not that bad,” Jake brushed off.
I frowned, “Yeah, I hear you cursing when you think I’m not listening. I know it drives you mad.”
“Ok it’s a little annoying,” he admitted. “I don’t regret it though. If this was the price that had to be paid, then so be it.”
I smiled at Jake, who smiled back at me.
“Have you given it any thought?” Lilly asked suddenly. “Did you want to meet Dad?”
“I did,” Jake sighed. “And no, I don’t. There is nothing to be gained from meeting him. I cannot and will not ever be able to acknowledge him as my father. He is your father, not mine.” I leaned my head against Jake’s shoulder in support of his decision.
“I can’t say I blame you,” Hannah replied. “It was hard to look at him the same way once we knew the truth.”
“We’re happy that you gave us the chance to be your sisters though,” Lilly added.
“That we are!” Hannah nodded in agreement.
Jake blushed and I decided it was time to take the pressure off of him, “How is the new job Dan?”
Dan nearly spat out his drink from my sudden spotlight change onto him, “Um, I’ve been let go.”
Instantly regretting my choice of victims, I sympathized, “I’m so sorry to hear that!”
Lilly rolled her eyes, “Will you ever keep a job?”
“I have an interview lined up tomorrow!” Dan argued.
I grabbed the glass out of his hand and motioned to the bartender to cut him off, “Seriously? The hung over look doesn’t get you jobs!”
“But it’s my birfday!” Dan protested.
“And we’re cutting you off!” Cleo agreed. “No excuses!”
“You guyz are the worst,” Dan frowned.
“Yeah, you'll be changing your tune by morning,” I shook my head with a laugh.

Life had a round about way of giving you what you had longed for all along.
You had spoke to Paul for hours up on the mountain side, the world around you quiet as the only thing you could focus on was him. You sat side by side, invisible sparks crackling between warm skin as he told you everything there was to know about your new found wolfiness. He reassured you that even though you were mates, it didn’t mean you had to feel pressured into anything, an imprint was there to be anything for their other half, a friend, a lover.. You shivered at the sound of being Paul Lahote’s lover, you had to stop yourself from pinching yourself a few times.
It was dark by the time you made the descent down the frosty mountain, in normal circumstances you would have most likely died of hypothermia by now, but as you’d established, life was anything but normal.
You were laughing at something Paul had said when you heard a twig snap in the distance, it caught Pauls attention to, he tensed, pushing you behind him. Your face scrunched against his back as a foul smell invaded your senses and that’s when it happened.
A flash of red hair was all it took for your body to start quivering.
—————————————————————————---------------
“So that was a vampire?” You were changing back into clothing, your other stuff shredded in the shift. “I thought they would look… less human?” Your nose scrunched up when you thought about the vampire stench that came off the one they called Victoria.
You looked towards Paul who was tense with a capital T. He was mad that he didn’t sense her approach sooner, hating the fact that you were newly shifted and still had much to learn about being a wolf. What if something had happened to you? Luckily the red headed vamp disappeared when you and Paul started chasing her, the pack had followed behind in a second, your link alerting them to the threat nearby.
You walked closer to him, scared that he might be too angry. His back was rippling and his muscles tensed. Your small warm hand reached up to touch the space between his shoulder blades and it was like magic. In an instant he relaxed as invisible electrical current crackled between your skin.
He turned slowly and looked down at you, his gaze warm and calm when he looked into your eyes. He took your hand and pulled you into him, your bodies colliding in a much needed embrace, his chin resting on the top of your head. You sighed and snuggled your face into his toned chest as his arms came around you like a cocoon of safety.
“Yes Y/N, that, was a vampire. The only reason she’s here is because of the fucking Cullens and their pet project.” You felt his jaw tense on the top of your head, your hands rubbing small circles on the lower part of his back.
“What do you mean their pet project?” You hadn’t found out about Bella yet and her involvement with the Cullens. Vampires were your natural enemy now, but some part of you still found it romantic that a blood sucking demon fell in love with a human. A human that you didn’t really know, had only met in passing when she was little and used to visit the Blacks. Since then, you’d never seen her again, but by the sounds of things, you’d be seeing her very soon.
Sam had agreed to helping the Cullens. The pack had a treaty with them but it was unheard of for Wolves and Vampires to help each other, at least that’s what you were told anyway, you were still trying to wrap your head around the fact that when you got angry a bushy tail would maybe appear.
Alice, one of the Cullens, could see the future? Honestly things were still feeling like a dream. Anyway, she could see the future and had a vision of a big bad newborn vampire army appearing from the watery depths below and invading forks. Naturally the Cullens would have handled it on their own if they could, but the numbers predicted were too many and they needed help. That’s where you guys came in. They would never see you coming.
“So were going to learn how to fight these newborns?” Paul had sat down while giving you the lowdown, his arms never leaving your waist, he just plopped you on his knee instead. You felt him tense again.
“Paul if you tense anymore you’re going to break a bone.” Your fingers found the back of his head, playing with and twisting the dark hair at the nape of his neck.
“You’re not going to learn to fight anything.” That made you halt your finger twirling. You looked at him with a scowl and he raised an eyebrow as if saying “try me.”
“Im a wolf like the rest of you now, just because i’m your soulmate doesn’t mean I shouldn’t know how to defend myself or learn how to.. you know… be a frikin wolf! What if you weren’t around and some vampire came about and boom, Y/N doesn’t know how to defend herself, then what?” You stood up from his lap, pacing slightly in front of him.
“I’ll never leave your side so you don’t have to worry about that babe.” That made your heart flutter but also angered you at the same time.
“As much as I love that Paul, it’s not realistic, what if Sam sends me off with other members of the pack or what if something comes up and you’re just not around? You can’t guarantee that you’ll always be around.” You watched Paul huff. Actually huff life a child would when they were told off.
“Awh come on you big baby, i’ll be fine!” You were interrupted by Sam and Emily coming through the door, Quil, Embry and Jake following behind, Leah coming in seconds after the rest.
“Who’s fine where, what?” Leah grabbed a cookie from a bowl Emily put out, she still want gotten over the feeling of betrayal when Sam left her to go to Emily, but you thought you saw a glimpse of… something there. Maybe she was getting used to being around them and the guys more. You’d like to think it would help now that you’d be around too, she had a confidant, a shoulder to lean on. You’d have to talk to her after, when you were both alone, find out if she was okay with everything going on. It’s not exactly like you could help it, but still, you wouldn’t be a good friend if you didn’t at least check in.
“Nothing, Paul is just worried about me learning to fight with the rest of you guys, you know, for the big, impending doom of the vampire army.” Sam frowned.
“I have to admit, I kinda agree with Paul on this one.” Leah stopped munching on her cookie when Sam finished his sentence. Embry and Quil looked around awkwardly and Jake wasn’t really paying too much attention.
“The training starts in two days and you’ve only just turned for the first time today, it might be too early for you to gain control over your wolf.”
You couldn’t believe Sam was siding with Paul. What the hell was the point of you turning and being chosen to be a Wolf, being told you’d have to give up everything you’d been working towards, for you to then be told you can’t fight and do what the fuck you were designed to now do.
“This is bullshit. I was perfectly fine being a normal girl, studying, working towards something I’d been dreaming of my whole life. Now this happens and you tell me i’m not ready. Whatever.” Leah stood at the same time you did, you heard Paul’s chair scrape back.
“Babe come on, it’s not like that.” You glared at him.
“Then what’s it like Paul, because i’m sure if I was a guy and didn’t have an imprint and the roles were reversed, i’d be training with the rest of you, newly shifted or not.” You grabbed your phone and house keys and made your way to the door, Leah walking beside you, most likely knowing exactly how you felt.
——————————————————————————————————
The next morning you woke to 20 missed calls and 40 texts, mostly from Paul a couple from Sam, one from Emily and even one from Jake. You snorted as you turned over in bed, noticing Leah sprawled out like a starfish, mouth hanging open, hair in every direction. Same old Leah.
You opened the message from Emily, wondering what she would have to say, she wasn’t someone you’d really spoke to before because of the whole love triangle but she seemed nice.
“I spoke to Sam about how unfair it was for you to miss out, all sorted ;)” .. what the hell did that mean?
Then you read the messages from Sam. “Training starts tomorrow at 8am, don’t be late, sorry about what happened the other day, i’m not used to having a pair of imprints in the pack.”
You could see where he was coming from. As the leader it was probably hard to always please everyone and Sam was obviously siding with Paul because he’d been part of his pack longer, friends when they were younger and he knew what it felt like to have the need to protect your mate. Still, they would just have to get used to it.
Leah soon woke and then left, pack duties. You would be put on duties soon enough, but first, you needed training. So that left you with a day of doing nothing, well, that was until you heard a knock on your.. bedroom window?
You grabbed the first thing that was closest to you for protection, a hairdryer. You hadn’t opened your curtains yet so couldn’t see what horror awaited, what if that red headed vamp followed you, but wait, wouldn’t you smell her? Or are your abilities not heightened enough yet? You got closer to the window when there was a knock again. The closer you got the happier you felt. Frikin Paul. Curtains pulled back, balcony door opened, your soulmate stumbled through wearing nothing but shorts.
“Babe, you’re a werewolf, were you seriously going to attack me with a hairdryer?"

Tangled up in blue- 3
warnings- light smut, drugs, alcohol.
Tumblr media
The dull light of the afternoon sun reflected off of Josh’s cheekbones as he showed Penny around the venue and the various rooms. He led her around, hand in hand with childlike excitement, explaining every funny thing that happened in every specific spot.
“Oh and here's where Sam yacked after taking five tequila shots in a row,” he laughed heartily, placing a hand across his chest. Penny shook her head, laughing at the antics concurring within the band. They finished the tour by entering the tour bus for a pre-show drink and warm-up. Sam sat on one of the various tables, criss cross applesauce and void of shoes of course, Jake was sat sideways in a chair strumming his guitar, and Danny was crouched in front of a mirror far too short for him trying to do his hair. Josh sat across from Jake, patting the seat next to him softly. His eyes widened for a moment, as if he had just remembered something vitally important.
“Mama, what should I wear tonight?” He said in hyper speed, moving his hands in his usual manner, “I have a few options, but I need your fashion expertise.”
“What are the options?” Penny answered. Josh then climbed haphazardly across the row and opened a small closet by the bunks, pulling out three extravagant outfits. The first was a purple silk or satin jumpsuit, clad in gems and detailing. The second was a sleeveless black jumpsuit covered in gold detailing. The last was a white jumpsuit, similar to the purple one, just softer in look. She scratched her chin thoughtfully, pondering it seriously in her head.
“You look sexy in purple,” she answered after a few moments of consideration. Jake then snorted, chuckling to himself.
“Yeah if you consider looking like a magenta hobbit sexy,” he continued. Penny laughed at the other twin's response, looking at Josh’s offended expression. Josh then silently, and dramatically removed the purple jumpsuit from the hanger and moved into the bathroom to change. While Josh was gone, the rest of the group decided to bring out the good stuff. Danny put a large bottle of tequila on the table, causing Sam to make a queasy face. Jake then placed a freshly rolled joint and a few beers down next to it. Penny smiled, feeling relieved that she had a group of friends to do these things with rather than alone with her cat on the couch. She plopped herself down next to Jake, causing her suede jacket to ruffle slightly, she then grabbed the joint and raised her eyebrows at Jake, asking permission to light it. He nodded, handing her his silver zippo in response. She then leaned into the light and inhaled, feeling that familiar burning sensation run through her chest. Josh soon exited the bathroom, of course making a show out of it. He first swung his leg out and then dramatically sung some old show tune, wiggling his eyebrows at her. She laughed and then offered a hit of the joint to him. He responded with an excited “ooh” and took a hit. He looked magnificent, the purple perfectly accented his skin tone, making it gleam in a pearly fashion. His hair was his usual mop, but now it was a tad longer, covering his ears and falling perfectly. He was beautiful, truly.
“That probably isn’t great for your voice babe,” she thought out loud. Josh raised his eyebrows at her mid-hit. He exhaled then thought for a moment.
“You are probably right, wise one.”
After the J was passed around to everybody a few times, pre-show nerves were no longer present, and it was time to get in the real mood. Jake handed everybody a shot glass and poured a generous amount of tequila in each. Sam still looked unhappy about the choice in alcohol, but held the glass in his hand anyways.
“Cheers,” rang out from the group and heads tilted back, mouths filling with the painful taste of tequila. Penny felt the shot rush straight to her head, the mixture of weed and alcohol making her feel slightly dizzy, but still dazed out.
“Lets rock this shit,” Jake exclaimed loudly, in a british accent for some reason.
“Oh no, Oliver Reed is back,” Danny sighed, carrying the bottle out as the group exited the bus. Josh and Penny were the last ones to get up, staying together for one last moment of silence before the show began.
“You look beautiful,” Penny said truthfully, running her hands softly down the fabric. He glanced down at her hands for a moment, then back up into her eyes, running a hand through her hair as he did.
“You look stunning mama, you always do,” he said, inching closer to her slowly. She smiled softly, pulling the collar of his jumpsuit closer to her. Josh then closed the gap between the pair, connecting their lips. The kiss began softly, feeling out the waters as if they had not swam in them a thousand times before. He tasted like tequila and smoke, but it felt like home. She sighed into the kiss softly, running her hands up and down his chest lovingly. Just as the kiss got more intense and their tongues traced the outlines of the other, Josh pulled away with narrowed eyes.
“Fuck, I missed you Pen,” he said in a hushed whisper. He then took her hand and guided her towards the green room behind the stage. The few minutes they had together as a group before the show were filled with adrenaline, and more shots. She managed to snap a few photos amidst the chaos. One of Jake and Josh posed in front of a large painting, Josh holding a fire extinguisher for whatever alcohol induced reason, and Jake with his hands clasped in front of his red suit. She also snapped one of Josh, leaning against a box smiling. She made sure to capture the realness of the moment, wanting to remember the beauty of his persona at the show.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Soon enough, the boys pranced onto the stage and Penny stood against an amp box by the side of the stage watching in awe. It was not her first time seeing the boys perform, but everytime she did, it felt better than the last. The show began with a fan favorite, Heat Above. This was one of Penny’s favorite tracks on the album, remembering back to the sunny mornings when Josh would belt it out in the shower, tinkering with certain parts of it. The song was a work of art, one of their best, and it deserved to be based on how long they waited to release it. The other numbers passed by in a haze, she loved every moment, dancing and singing along wildly by the side of the stage. Every now and then Josh would turn around to her on a particularly lovely line and wink at her. He did this during Highway tune’s “so sweet, so nice, so fine,” and Light my love’s “your mind is stream of colors.” The fact that he looked at her during these specific lyrics made her heart hurt with happiness, knowing that Josh felt the same way about her.
The band soon exited the stage, sweaty and filled to the brim with post-show adrenaline. Josh immediately ran to her, pulling her hand behind him as he ran to one of the dressing rooms. Penny was slightly confused by his quick exit, but followed him nevertheless, she would follow him anywhere. He shut the door in a hurry and connected their lips harshly. She froze for a second, still wondering where this rush of affection came from, but she soon gave in, melting into his touch. He then pushed her against the door and pushed her jacket off of her shoulders. She sighed, lifting his chin up and meeting his eyes. He looked at her with wide eyes, licking his own lips. He opened his mouth as if to say something, but closed it after a few seconds. But his nexts words caused Penny to have another head rush, but this time it wasn’t due to tequila.
“I love you,” he said in such a hushed whisper that she could barely hear it over the crowd still relishing in the shows excitement. She blinked, slightly tearily and put her hands on either side of his face.
“I love you, Joshua.” Josh then kissed her with a fercosity that had never been present between the pair, until now. She whined against him, as his core jutted against her own. His hands were roaming over her body, squeezing her ass over her jeans, and toying with her breasts. They were then interupted harshly with a knock on the door that vibrated into Penny’s back.
“Guys, I know you haven’t seen each other in a bit, but can you save the fucking for when we have a hotel, we kind of need to change our clothes,” Jake yelled through the door. Penny looked at Josh, meeting his eyes with a surprised expression. They maintained the eye contact for a moment before breaking out in hysterical laughter, clutching their stomachs as Josh opened the door to a very annoyed Jake.
.
Hi babes, I know this chapter is rather short, I just had a really busy day today! next one will be longer (and maybe more smut) :)

survivors as roommates hcs
just some silly little headcanons i wrote between fics <3
Dwight is a huge pushover. Late on rent? Dwight has you covered. Ate his food? “Haha, it’s fine, you were probably more hungry anyway and it’s not like I need to eat today—”. He’s a little messy but mostly keeps to himself, unless you befriend him, in which case he’s clingy af. Constantly asks to hang out and isn’t the best at understanding social cues.
Meg is a whirlwind, leaving stuff in her wake wherever she goes. She leaves for morning runs at like 4 am and showers weird hours of the day. She’s also really assertive, going “You don’t mind if I borrow this, do you? Ok cool!” and sprinting off before you can even reply.
Claudette keeps to herself. Hope you don’t mind the 6281 plants that start in her bedroom and slowly spread to cover every available surface of the apartment. Sometimes she leaves weird science projects in the fridge that you do not want to accidentally drink unless you want to be poisoned by some obscure plant.
Jake just wants to be alone. He’s a hermit, never having people over and shutting himself into his room if you do. He can go days without showering, so hope you don’t mind his stink or the constant weed smell.
Nea will throw impromptu parties and leaves her shit laying around. Empty spray paint cans are now a permanent part of your décor, since no matter how many you throw out, more always appear. She has a habit of adopting stray cats and you’re not even sure how many are in the apartment at this point.
Laurie is the most perfect roommate anyone could ask for. She usually just keeps to herself and reads books or something, but will almost always join you in watching a movie or cooking or whatever, if you ask. She’s also very neat and will clean up after you, even if she scolds you for it. Sometimes she’s a little too responsible and doesn’t know how to let loose, so you won’t be throwing any wild parties with her around.
Ace on the other hand, is… well. A wild card. He doesn’t have a sleep schedule, stumbling home at varying hours in the middle of the night from god-knows-where. Will bring home random hook-ups. Will beg you to lend rent money when he’s gambled away his share. Will make you cover for him when the police comes knocking. 0/10 worst roommate wouldn’t recommend, the only thing he’s good for is a laugh and knowing the best parties.
Bill smokes inside. He also snores. Loudly. Usually falls asleep with the tv blaring, so hope you have earplugs. There’s also the war flashbacks, which… yeah you should probably not ask him about that.
Feng will play games all night, screaming at her teammates over Discord. Again, earplugs are a must, or alternatively you can join her in game and be screamed at. She lives on energy drinks and you’re not 100% sure she even sleeps.
David is kind of unpredictable. He’s punched at least two dents in the wall after losing at Mario Kart. Has a boxing bag in his room that he loudly beats up. If you have friends over, he’s going to do shirtless push-ups right in front of them. He sleeps naked and sometimes forgets to put on clothes so you’ll be getting an eyeful whether you like it or not.
Quentin is a great roommate… except when he’s asleep, because he sleepwalks and has night terrors. When he’s awake he’s super chill, picking up after himself and letting you do your thing, occasionally asking to hang out but not minding if you say no.
Tapp will complain about the slightest bit of noise, and you’d better not be doing any drugs or underage drinking. Is the most punctual with paying rent and utility bills, and you can bet he’s always in bed by 9 pm.
Kate is tidy, but her music doesn’t have an off button. Sometimes her inspiration hits in the middle of the night, and while she tries to be quiet, she gets carried away and always ends up singing at full volume. Will also insist on throwing huge bbq parties no matter the season.
Adam is a very nice roommate. His biggest sin is being a little forgetful and sometimes leaving wet laundry in the machine until it starts to smell. He works long hours and isn’t home a lot, but still somehow manages to do his share of the housework.
Jeff tries his best not to make a mess with his art but the paint splatters are inevitable. He comes with a dog and the entire apartment is now filled with both the puppy’s and Jeff’s long hairs. Surprisingly, the death metal isn’t an issue in the slightest because he always listens to music with headphones.
Jane listens to podcasts on speaker. Is a little bit of a mom, often cooking extras so you can have some later, and even occasionally washing your laundry. Her guilty pleasure is watching corny telenovelas and you can bet your ass she’s yelling at the tv in her native tongue.
Ash is just loud. He talks to himself, laughs at shitty sitcoms and brings home random hookups to have obnoxiously loud sex. Sometimes leaves his prosthetic in odd places especially when he’s been drinking. You’ve found it in the freezer at least twice.
Nancy is mostly really neat and organized. Sometimes, she leaves research papers strewn around and you do not want to touch them or, heaven forbid, throw them away lest you want to face her wrath.
Steve is messy and a little spoiled. His room is pure chaos, and occasionally sweaty socks and basketball shorts make their way to the shared living space. The apartment always smells faintly of hairspray.
Yui constantly has her gang over, and they’re nice enough but it gets a little annoying. Constant motor oil smell from when she’s been tinkering with a bike part. Once, she even brought the entire bike indoors and you got into a fight when she tried to get rid of the couch to make room for it.
Zarina has photography and film equipment laying around the entire apartment, especially when she’s working on a project. She’s a great cook and the kitchen smells like exotic spice 24/7, so depending on your tastes that’s either the best or worst thing ever.
Cheryl means well but is a disaster. If she tries to cook, the kitchen looks like a hurricane and smells burnt, and you’ve found the laundry machine overflowing with foam more times than you can remember. You might need to parent her until she learns the ropes.
Felix is neat but doesn’t know how to relax. He’ll often pull all-nighters and passive-aggressively complain if you disturb him. Miniature buildings will appear on every available surface, especially when nearing a deadline.

Total Opposite (part 5)
Paul Lahote x swan reader
Masterlist
Tumblr media
After that day at the forest with Paul, i slowly start to get close with the others. Uncle Harry told me everything that i need to know and he assured me that I'll be safe with the Quileute and don't have to worry about anything.
Me and the Clearwaters still hangout together after school, despite Paul always want me to spend time with him. But i can't help it. We are just friends, and i'm not ready to step into another level.
Unfortunately, Seth and Leah phased not long after, surprised both Uncle Harry and Sue. Now, they are joining Sam's pack. Seth totally happy about his new ability, while Leah didn't take it well, get caught between Sam and Emily. I feel bad about her, so i tried to be there for her, cheer her up and make her feel comfortable enough on the pack.
Oh, by the way, Bella already told me everything about Cullens. She said that the one who saved me back then was Carlisle. But she never push me to meet them yet. "I just wanted you to know that not every vampires are bad. The one with red eyes eat people and you have to be carefull around them. But the golden eyes are safe. They are vegetarian. When you are ready, i'll let you meet them. Carlisle always asked me if you are okay now..." I tried to accept the fact that my sister close to a family of vampires and she's so fine with it. "I'll try to understand it, okay? I still need time.." she nod understandingly.
Who can imagine that only 2 days later i get attacked by a red hair vampire? Lucky me.
I'm driving my car after doing groceries. It still in the afternoon and usually it's totally okay. But, to my bad luck, someone or i can say a woman, with red hair standing in the middle of the road, making me break hard. My car turn around a few times before crashing into a tree. With a blurry views and heachaches, i barely see the red hair woman walk toward me and drag me out of the car. I groan in pain. She crunched down and look me straight into my eyes, her red eyes glowing. My breath hitch as the memories flowing into my head. I can't find my voice nor move my body as she reach down my throat, licking her lips. "Your blood smell so nice... like your sister. Maybe if i can't have your sister, i can have you as a dinner." She said, making me frightened.
Her mouth slowly reach my neck, as her tried to suck me up to death. I can't think about anything. Not even thinking about help or getting out of her. But before she can suck my blood, a loud growl coming from the trees, making the woman turn to see the creatures.
A big massive black wolf is growling at her, baring his teeth. Behind him, walk one by one a bunch of wolves. The red hed woman release me and stand up. She mutteted something under breath and run aways shortly being chased by the wolves. One wolf stand infront of me, then he crunch down, licks my face. With blurry views, i notice that the wolf is Paul, from his grey fur. Then, beside me there's sandy fur wolf, poking me on my hands, whining. Seth.
Not long after, both of them change back into human form, wearing a cut short jeans. Paul run into me, crunching down and pick me up bridal style. I groan in pain as he pick me up. "Hang in there, okay? Seth, call your mom. Let's meet up at Emily's." Seth nod and run into different path as me and Paul head back to Emily. I realised his hands are shaking while carrying me. I try to look up at him, seeing his hard face.
"I'm... fine...." i whispers, slowly find my voice. Paul tightening his grip. "No, you're not.. i nearly lose you..."
Soon after we arrive at Emily's. As Paul lay me down on the sofa, Emily has been busy taking a bowl of warm water and towel to clean up my wounds. Sue comes later with Seth, with some medical equipments on her hands. She quickly treated my wound and give me pain killers and some medicines.
"Luckily her wounds aren't deep. She just need some rest for a few days and she will be fine." She said after taking care of me. The boys and Leah already back in the middle of my treatment.
"(Y/n), you should stay here. I'll prepare the guest room for you. I'll call Charlie to let him know that you will stay us." Sam said.
"Will he be okay?" I'm not sure Dad will be okay with me staying with Sam and the others.
"I'll let him know that (y/n) will be staying with us. I'll take care of it." Sue suggest, since she also close with Dad. Sam nod in agreement.
Sue, Leah and Seth go home short after, Emily is preparing my room to stay, Paul and the guys are with me, sitting or standing close to me, like they are guarding me. "Just go home, guys.. i'll be safe here.." i said, feeling bad about them.
"Jared, Embry and Paul will be staying here. Jacob and Quil will guard your home. Victoria must be hunting Bella too." Sam said as the boys nod.
"(Y/n), the room is ready. Come on, let's move you so you can rest well." Emily walk down and Paul pick me up slowly, bridal style, and head up into the guest room. He lay me down softly on the bed and lay himself beside me, hugging me under his chin, securing me.
"I'm sorry... i couldn't protect you well.." he whispered, almost crying. I sigh softly. "It's not your fault. We didn't know that she hunt me too. It's okay. I'll be fine, don't worry."
"Still... with you having that traumatized moment, and with that red hair woman..." I pat his hand, which hug me tightly on my waist, snuggling more into his warmth. "Let's sleep okay? You are here now, with the others, and i finally can rest well.." i start to drift into darkness and soon sleep consume me.
~~
In a days where i'm healing, the packs start to have join power with the Cullens and train with them, when they heard about a new born army lead by Victoria. She targeted Bella for revenge to Cullen since they killed her mate, James. Classic.
"We will go for a war with the new borns in a few days." Sam said as the packs are having a lunch at Emily. Paul grip on my body tighten as i sit on him, eating lunch.
"How about Bella?" I asked.
"She will be with Jacob and Edward, staying in the mountain, while the rest of us fighting the new born." Jared said as my eyes widen.
"What?! Are you serious?! What the hell?!" My usual calm attitude, snap as i heard about it. The others flinch at my sudden attitude, shock that i snap like that. "Edward and Jacob didn't fight?! What the hell is that! That's not fair."
"(Y/n)... calm down... maybe they have another strategy.." Paul, shockingly, the one who calm me down. I huff and continue to eat my lunch.
"It's fine, (y/n).. maybe Edward try to hide your sister scent or lure Victoria to him.... we don't know.. just believe that everything will be okay." Sam try to assured me.
"Still.. if one of you get hurt, i'll definitely kill her myself." I murmured, gulping down my lunch.
Paul laugh softly, kissing my side head. "I never knew you can be this fierce.."
"You better not know, Paul... but she really can kill people if she's mad..." Seth murmured, knowing very well about me. "Better not make her angry if you don't want to die.." the guys laugh loudly. And that we start to enjoy our lunch before the war.
Emily, Kim and I are waiting impatiently for the packs to come back from the war. We silently pray that all of them are okay and not hurt. But when Seth running hurriedly toward us, we knew that something must happened.
"Jake's hurt. He's at Billy's waiting for Carlisle to help him."
Me and Emily hurriedly go to Billy's while Kim had to come home. As we arrive at Billy's, i immediately go to Paul and hug him tightly. Part of me relief that he's okay, and part of me because i'm scared about Jacob. Paul hug me back tightly and kiss my head. "I'm fine... everything will be fine.. Jake will be fine..." He keeps saying it.
Carlisle arrive later, and hurriedly get inside the house with Sam. Short after, Jake's scream fill the air. I flinch and burried my head into Paul's arm, hugging him by the waist tightly. Seth, who stand beside me, rub my hand, try to calm me down. While Paul, hugging me and with his hands close my ears so i don't really heard Jake's scream.
The sound of car engine approaching us take our attention. Bella's truck is parking and she hurriedly walk toward us. I glare at my sister, want to yell at her, but Paul held me down. "It's been going on a while, doc rebreaking his bone so it can heal properly." Jared said.
"Why did he had to butt in? I could take him." Leah said with so much guilt on her voice. I know it's not her fault.
"Oh, give it a rest, Leah." Paul snap. I tighten my grip on his waist, try to just drop it.
Soon, the scream died down and Carlisle walk out with Sam. "He's fine. I give him a medicine and his body temperature will burn it off soon." He said as Billy sigh in relief. I sigh and slowly loosen my grip on Paul, looking at the others. "He is searching for you, Bella." I glare at my sister. Why must her? How about Billy?
"Thankyou." Billy offer his hand to Carlisle which he return. Then he is off, back home maybe.
Bella glance at Billy as he nod, approving, and Bella get inside the house. I huff, annoyingly. Paul rub my back slowly. "She's so annoying..." i murmured.
"Calm down, (y/n)... it's not partly Bella's fault..." Seth said.
I raise my eyebrows. "Really? To me it still her fault.. because she's having a relationship with vampires that it end up like this." I snap with so much venom.
"(Y/n), dear.. calm down.." Sue said, softly, and Billy just smile.
I groan and freeing myself from Paul's grip. "I'll go back to Emily's.. i don't want to say something that i'll regret."
Sam nod understandingly. "Paul, go with her. Emily, you too. We can handle this." He said.
So the three of us back to Emily's to call it a day. As Emily prepare something for Sam to eat, me and Paul are laying down on the bed, in each other arms.
What happened this few weeks with the new born army make my relationship with Paul go further. We complete each other out, and i feel more safe with him and the packs. "I'm glad that i got imprinted by you.. i could never imagine if i'm not.. what will happened to me if you guys didn't save me from Victoria. I'm thinking about my Dad, but having Uncle Billy and Uncle Harry being with him make me calmer. But, Bella.. huh.. even if i want her happiness, but this are so stupid.. having a happy relationship with vampires.. i can't imagine it. And this is what happened..."
Paul look down at me, who lying on his arms, hugging his waist tightly. "Me too... if i didn't met you and imprinted on you, maybe i'll never change and always be the bad guy. But you change me to a better man. I never imagine thay i'll be the one who calm you down.." he chuckle. "I'm gratefull that our ancestor pick you to become my imprint. I could never ask for more. Just you by my side is enough for me."
We, enjoying each other warmth, talking so much about our relationship and life ahead. The bond is deeper now. And i'm ready to take this into another level. "Are you sure? I won't push you if you are not ready yet.."
"I'm ready, Paul... besides it just a boyfriend and girlfriend thing.." i shrug.
"So, will you be my girlfriend, (y/n) Swan?" He asked, smile widely. I look up at him. "Of course. Why do you still ask if you already know the answer?"
"Just want to make it more formal?" We both laugh and enjoying the night. Slowly drifting into sleep as tiredness hit both of us.
