Summary: You’ve had a crush on natasha for years, but she’s dating Steve. What will happen?

A/n: i need to work on writing longer fics 😭

Natasha, the girl you loved. The girl who was in love with a man who didn't love her. It seriously ached your heart seeing her heart be crushed by him every day. Steve was his name, you hated him and that girl he's always with. She had been dating him for a few months now, at first the relationship seemed so good it genuinely gave you zero hope of finally being with the woman you love. Seeing him run around with that Peggy girl really pissed you off. You never said anything to Natasha because you didn't want to see her soul crushed, but you're on the verge of almost letting it slip.

Wanda, your neighbor and best friend, invited you over early to set up for your monthly catch-up lunch with Natasha. You were surprised though when Natasha came through the door, with Steve. Wanda seemed disappointed that it wouldn't just be the three of you, but also didn't seem to mind because the three go back. They all used to be good friends in high school, but going off to college and Steve joining the military kind of separated the group.

Wanda was aware of your crush; she could see it the moment you met her. She could see the way you looked at Natahsa all too clearly. She finally asked you one day, before meeting up with Natasha. You denied it, but eventually her teasing got to you. It honestly helped you and Wanda grow close.

You all had sat around the table, air slightly tense. Wanda broke the tension by speaking first, "It's nice to see you Steve, how have you been?" She questioned in a half genuine, half sarcastic tone. "Oh well, not too crazy. Just work stuff, and Nat." You had to hold back your scoff. Wanda could already suspect your anger for the man being here.

Steve's phone rang, and you watched him carefully as he scurried to answer his phone. You gave Wanda a look, then he excused himself in a hurry. He gave Natahsa a side hug, not even a kiss. You watched the sadness on her face, only causing your heart to hurt.

"Nat, are you okay?" You broke the silence, her face relaxing. "Yes, things have just been" she paused, "off." You watched Wanda's face quickly turn to a worried look. "Welp, since it's just us girls why don't we spend our time well together! We can watch a movie and have some wine." Natasha's face lit up with a smile, bringing a smile to yours.

Time had passed, and you were saying your goodbyes. Standing on Wanda's porch with Natasha, you asked her if she would like you to walk her home which she declined. "Are you sure Nat? I really don't mine." She shook her head, "It's fine Y/n, it's not like I live three neighborhoods away." She giggled, to which you sighed in defeat. "Fine."

You and Natasha departed, but it didn't take long for her to show up at your door with tears streaming down her face. "Natty, what's wrong?" She tried to choke out an answer, but she couldn't, so you just pulled her into your house. You gave her a moment to breathe, then asked her again. 'Steve, he" her hesitation to tell you gave you an idea of the situation. "Steve was cheating on me in my own bed!" She choked out. You pull her body into your arms and hold her.

It had taken a while for her to calm down, but glass, after glass of wine calmed her till she was a giggling mess in your arms. She looked, into your eyes then something in her snapped. Her lips eagerly met yours. "Nat, why did you do that?" She looked at you and smiled. "It felt right, you feel right." Your eyes widened in shock at her words. Had you heard her correctly? Is she thinking incorrectly?

She scooted her body closer to yours, placing her hands on your face drawing you lips closer to hers. She sealed your lips for a second time, this time only with more passion. "I need you Y/n, I need to have you right now. I can't believe it's taken this for me to realize, but I'm in love with you." You sat in shock, but you were also happy.

You quickly climbed onto her lap, reclaiming her lips back onto yours. Her hands roam your body, causing moans to escape your throat. ~Shadowpeach Headcanons (I'm Delusional)~

I did this because I was bored... so if you happen to like this... uh... feel free to suggest other things you would want to see headcanons for (I also take art and one-shot requests too -3- (pleaseee, I need ideassss))

Neither of them bothers labeling their relationship (Macaque is more aware of identities and labels and identifies as bisexual. On the other hand, if you ask Wukong about his pronouns, he'll just stare at you silently before completely changing the subject.)

Wukong may be a jerk, but one thing he absolutely WON'T do is make fun of Macaque's art. (He was always happy when Macaque would express himself when they were younger and still has a similar mentality about it. Definitely would diss anyone else's art though.)

Both are subconsciously protective of the other's boundaries (Macaque steers clear of subjects that might trigger memories of Wukong's past, and Wukong makes sure others don't get too loud around Macaque (while still forgetting to check his own volume.) If you were to ask them, they'd say it's because they're the only ones who get to antagonize each other.)

Wukong is surprisingly good at dancing; Macaque is salty about it.

They fall asleep facing away from each other and then wake up cuddling

At first, they would stick around each other just to be annoying, but it slowly turned into them genuinely hanging out, and now they have regular "dates."

Macaque writes notes to remind Wukong of things when he can't be there to remind him himself, and Wukong doodles on them (and then forgets what he was supposed to do anyway)

Wukong likes to draw Macaque smiling (both genuine smiles and that bastard smile he does)

Macaque is surprisingly cuddly in the morning.

They are groggy after waking up, but sometimes Wukong will be up all night and super energetic when Mac wakes up.

Macaque constantly rearranges the furniture, and Wukong runs into stuff because he moves through rooms on muscle memory

Macaque tries flirting with Wukong, but it all goes over his head. Meanwhile, Wukong says things that fluster Macaque without even knowing it.

Macaque laughs so hard at Wukong that he snorts, and Wukong teases him for it.

They have so many inside jokes that their conversations have become incomprehensible to people who don't know them.

They don't like beds and will shove a bunch of blankets in a corner and curl up there if they can't sleep outside because it's raining.

They have serious talks late at night that they both pretend never happened in the morning.

Both of them get really excited about random things and will info dump on each other

Macaque is scared of his food/drinks being contaminated and won't eat/drink something that is out of his sight for too long; sometimes, he trusts Wukong to watch his food, and other times doesn't

Wukong loves eating peaches and playing in the dirt but hates the feeling of his skin being sticky or dirt under his claws; Macaque will grumble and huff but will eventually clean him up

They make weird noises at each other.

Wukong still doesn't understand tech and constantly has to ask Macaque for help. Macaque is more knowledgeable than Wukong but still has to ask MK for help helping Wukong sometimes.

Wukong doesn't save his drawings because he doesn't think they're that important, but Macaque always keeps them. The same can be said vice versa.

❃How Seventeen would act around their crush❃

A/N: So... I thought this would be just a fun short prompt and instead, I made it long because why have a word limit when you can let your delulu run wild :')

Scoups/Seunghceol

❀ Coups is a fairly confident person; he knows that people find him attractive and that there is no shortage of people lining up to date him. Yet, when he developed a crush on you, he found himself unable to go and talk to you. Instead, he watches you from afar, trying to assert whether the interest is mutual before making any sort of move. He always tries to be in your vicinity, close enough to catch your eye but not enough to prompt any one-on-one conversations.

❀ He strives to impress you, always taking up the other members in challenges when you are around. Whenever he wins an arm wrestling match, he briefly glances at you, gauging your reaction. He wants you to be impressed by his physical strength. Similarly, when he goes out drinking, and you are present, he makes sure to down every shot and tries to win every drinking game. He will even shyly take shots for you when you lose a game.

❀ To put it differently, when you are around him, his competitiveness will increase tenfold. He wants to impress you, whilst also using these moments to check whether the interest is mutual.

❀ He absolutely hates it when the other members tease him about it as, to them, it's obvious that he has a crush on you. His eyes continuously follow you around, and he always seems to be smiling to himself when you talk; it is not difficult to figure it out. Still, he needs some time to ascertain whether you reciprocate his feelings. If he gets any indication that it is, it will not take him long to ask you out.

Jeonghan

❀ From the outside, it is rather difficult to determine whether Jeonghan has a crush on someone, as his demeanour doesn’t change. He teases everyone equally, and you are no exception to that. Even if he seems to target you more than others, enjoying your reactions to his antics, it is so subtle that nobody around him seems to catch it.

❀ He is also not one to mention it to his friends or the other members; he doesn't see the point in doing so. Instead, he keeps his feelings private, just for himself, unless he is planning on doing something about them.

❀ However, it becomes slightly apparent in the way that he silently takes care of you. Jeonghan is a very nurturing person who tends to the needs of those around him. Still, he dislikes it when people draw attention to his caring gestures, not wanting to be praised for it.

❀ For some reason, he always seems aware when you need help, ready to offer his in a heartbeat. Little do you know that he is constantly watching you out of the corner of his eye, making sure that you are doing alright.

❀ Regardless of how puzzled his behaviour leaves you, Jeonghan is not one to beat around the bush. He is quick to confess to you that he finds you attractive, seeing no point in leaving it unsaid for long. Despite his mischievous and playful personality, he likes to have these things clear from the get-go. Why would he wait when he could enjoy taking you on fun dates?

Joshua

❀ Joshua is the definition of “Is he into me, or is he just being friendly?” When you met Joshua, you were surprised by his gentle nature. Sure, he likes to play pranks on people, and he does the craziest stuff occasionally, but when it comes down to it, Joshua is a very caring person. So honestly, you might have a difficult time determining whether he is being so unbelievably kind to you because he likes you or because he is a gentleman.

❀ Still, he is not shy, approaching you and striking up conversations whenever he sees you. In fact, ever since he met you, he has been conversing with you. It is almost like the two of you are magnets naturally pulling towards each other, as every time you find yourself in the same room, the two of you end up talking the entire time. When you do, nobody is able to interject, leaving you two in your own shared little world. He is perfectly courteous, and when he gets more comfortable with you, he starts showing his crazy side.

❀ Apart from this gravitational pull, he makes a conscious effort to text you back. Shocking, I know. It might still take him longer than others, but the moment you give him your number, he makes the conscious decision to text you first and respond timely to your replies. The other members think it is incredibly unfair, but he really enjoys talking to you, and this is one way to continue doing so.

❀ He is definitely another member who will not postpone confessing. Rejection, to him, isn't the end of the world; if he wants to date you, but you are not feeling it, why would he not want to be your friend instead? You’re still an awesome person he wanted to spend more time with. It makes asking you out a lot less stressful.

Jun

❀ He is freaking out in the corner of the room as the party rages on around him, dipping the moment he laid eyes on you. Minghao has been encouraging him to talk to you, but that is not happening anytime soon. Jun is incredibly shy, and once he develops a crush on someone, he inexplicably becomes one with the furniture.

❀ It isn’t that he doesn’t want to talk to you, but he doesn’t quite know how to start a conversation and keep it going without making it awkward. He has been running different scenarios in his head, trying to formulate responses that he could use. However, once he sees you laugh, he knows it is hopeless; your smile is so radiant that he can’t help but be reduced to a stuttering mess. So yeah, hiding in a corner seems to be his safest option for now.

❀ If you somehow manage to corner him and actually have a conversation with him, it is not hard to note his discomfort. The only indication that he might be into you is the other members trying to encourage him from afar, giving him thumbs up whenever he utters a word back.

❀ Over text, it is a world of difference; he seems to be more brazen without having to see you face-to-face. He is still nervous on the other side of the phone, but the distance seems to help him with his shyness, and he is able to articulate his thoughts much better.

Hoshi/Soonyoung

❀ Everyone expects Hoshi to be a social butterfly and energetic around new people, but, in reality, he is only loud around his friends. When it comes to strangers, however, he falls incredibly quiet and gets painfully shy, which worsens when he meets you, someone he is attracted to. He knows he can be shameless and say insane things. Hence, he avoids you like the plague.

❀ After a couple of awkward first conversations with you, he begins to feel more comfortable around you, and his wild side starts coming out. It almost gives you whiplash, as in his giddy excitement, his energy multiplies. Even to his own members, he seems to be much wilder, barely able to sit still, when he sees you. It is as if you inject him with straight-up adrenaline and caffeine, having him bounce off the walls.

❀ When he gets drunk, his feelings will be on his sleeve, on display for everyone to see. His members have to keep an eye on him because, in his drunken state, he will accidentally kiss you or end up confessing his feelings. There will be no filter between his brain and his mouth, and he unabashedly will keep telling anyone who will listen that he finds you pretty.

❀ He might, nevertheless, accidentally confess whilst sober. He has no intention of doing it, but unintentionally lets it slip out when he is joking around with you. Regardless of whether or not you have heard him, he will try to play it off as a joke. He is so embarrassed about his unexpected confession; this was not how he wanted it to happen.

Wonwoo

❀ Wonwoo is part of the shy gang, but where Jun and Hoshi are socially awkward, Wonwoo is simply quiet. He's already someone who uses words sparingly by nature, but once he develops a crush on someone, he is unable to get any sentences out. At first, you thought Wonwoo disliked you, finding him aloof around you. Whenever you tried to talk to him, he would merely spare you a glance before quickly moving away.

❀ As time passes, however, you notice that he tends to wear a soft smile around you when he thinks you aren't looking. It is so tiny and subtle that it is easy to miss. Moreover, you've noticed that he gives you special privileges compared to his members. When the two of you are playing games together, he tends to go easy on you, to the chagrin of the other members. He likes seeing you excited over your definitely not-facilitated win.

❀ He also tried his hardest to talk to you despite his shyness, with the rest of the members pushing him to do so. Mingyu fully adopts the role of wingman, easing the conversation between Wonwoo and you to get his friend to open up. He knows his friend is struggling and wants nothing more than to help him out.

❀ Despite how hard his heart is beating in his chest, he will continuously come up to you, trying to start a conversation. Even if he fails and the conversation goes nowhere, he will not be deterred and will try again later. Do not count on him to confess his attraction, though. He will take it to his grave unless you decide to confess to him first.

Woozi/Jihoon

❀ Despite being part of the shy gang, Woozi will muster up the courage to come over and talk to you. The conversation isn't life-changing or mind-blowing; there are a lot of awkward pauses and painful silences, but at least he is trying to connect to you.

❀ The amount of music-related questions he has asked in the past five minutes makes you almost feel like you're having a job interview. It is obvious that producing music is his passion, but you kind of wish that he would talk about something else, even if you find his intensity attractive. Woozi knows that he should probably change the topic, but he feels so overwhelmed by your presence that music is all he can think of.

❀ He, furthermore, is trying his hardest to show off his manly side. Whether it is constantly crossing his arms over his chest, trying to look imposing, or refusing any requests to act cute, he wants you to think he is handsome, not adorable. It is painfully apparent to the members that he has a massive crush on you, and they can't wait to tease him into oblivion, provoking him by constantly calling him precious.

❀ He will definitely start waving around his black card more; it isn't because he wants to impress you with his wealth, but because he wants to ensure you have everything you need. If you mention that you want to swing by a convenience store, he will be right by your side, casually handing you his black card.

DK/Seokmin

❀ Upon seeing you, DK is hopelessly gone; he follows you around with so much excitement, much like a lost puppy. Although he is always friendly and thrilled when it comes to meeting new people, it is easy to tell that he has a crush on you. Maybe, if you're truly in denial, you might feel like he is simply being nice to you, but DK wears his heart on his sleeve, so it is abundantly apparent to everyone around him that he has a crush on you. It is literally coming out of every pore on his body.

❀ His main goal in life has changed into making you laugh. If you haven't laughed at least six times over the span of a ten-minute conversation, he is counting it as a loss. Be prepared for your stomach and laugh muscles to hurt after talking to him; he is upping his antics, pushing aside his shame in order to hear you giggle.

❀ He will be trying his hardest to flirt with you, but instead of coming off as flirty, it is downright hilarious. His pick-up lines are so incredibly awful that you can't help but laugh at them. You have no idea why he thought that "you're hotter than the bottom of my laptop" or "if you'd be words on a page, you'd be fine print" would work, but hey, at least he got you laughing.

❀ He might be a bit shy when it comes to actually asking you out directly, but he is so shameless with his flirting, and it is so obvious he is into you that it feels like he has already done so.

Mingyu

❀ Mingyu is incredibly shameless when it comes to flirting, wasting absolutely no time when it comes to approaching his crush. Sure, he gets very shy when you reciprocate any of his attention, but he will initiate it first. It kind of drives you insane. One moment, he will be leaning over as the two of you are drinking at a bar, seductively whispering into your ear that you look stunning in your dress, and the other, he will be blushing and giggling as if he has never heard a single compliment in his life before. You're not sure whether he is doing it on purpose or whether he truly is that bashful. It doesn't matter, though; it works like a charm.

❀ The other members better not be around him when he is talking to you. He will casually stretch his arms, showing off his toned arms, or sneakily reach around you, momentarily hugging you, to reach for a coaster that just happened to be on the other side of you. If they saw him, they would not let him live it down; perhaps that is why he gets so shy when you tease him for casually touching you or showing off. He will look for any excuse to briefly touch you, pretending like he doesn't know what he is doing.

❀ Speaking of teasing, he lives for the moments where you tease him. It effectively makes him momentarily lose his cool; we all know Mingyu secretly enjoys being degraded. The moment you mildly mock him marks the moment he is completely gone for you.

❀ Mingyu will drag out the flirting phase; he enjoys the chase and the back-and-forth. It isn't that he doesn't want to date you, but he lives for the tension that comes before it, savouring it for as long as he can.

The8/Minghao

❀ Minghao has two vastly different reactions when he is around his crush. He either will act very giddy around you, staring at you as if you hung the moon and the stars, or completely indifferent around you, making you wonder whether you have wronged him at some point. It takes him some time to feel completely comfortable around you, but once he feels at ease, giddy Minghao will come out.

❀ He loves involving you in his activities; expect a ton of invitations for walks, painting sessions or meditations. He makes sure to come up with plenty of excuses for why you should join, most revolving around it being good for you. Truth be told, he simply wants to spend time with you without directly asking you out. He wants to ensure that the two of you connect on a deeper level before confessing his feelings to you.

❀ Conversations with Minghao are so deep. He wants to know your opinion on every philosophical and existential question he has. Honestly, the intense way he listens to you is enough to make you blush; it is as if nothing matters more to him than your words.

❀ Minghao is a firm believer in the "friends first before dating." He will only act on his feelings after he feels like the two of you are somewhat friends.

Seungkwan

❀ Seungkwan hasn't stopped talking to you since the moment he met you. He is another member who wears his heart on his sleeve; he will pour all his energy into socializing with you, making sure that you are comfortable and having a great time. The only times that your conversations turn awkward is when one of his jokes doesn't land; he will beat himself up over it for the rest of eternity, even if you find it incredibly adorable.

❀ Half the contents in his bag are reserved for you; he always brings enough supplements and snacks in order to share them with you. He, additionally, makes sure to pick up coffee for you when he is ordering his usual Iced Americano, ignoring the teasing of his members when he does so. Seungkwan has a very nurturing and caring personality, and it truly shines when he is around you. Know that when he nags you for not going to bed on time, it is because he cares.

❀ Where Seungkwan is ready to fight with all of his members, he is the definition of soft around you. Even his nagging takes on a softer tone, becoming more of a suggestion than a demand. The other members constantly complain that he is giving you preferential treatment and that he usually isn't this sweet.

❀ He will confess after a while, being another one who upholds the "first friends before dating" rule. Seungkwan isn't the most confident when it comes to relationships, so it takes him a while to build up the courage to suggest dating.

Vernon

❀ Vernon is a unique case when it comes to developing a crush on someone; he won't necessarily have it show, yet he will tell all his members that he thinks you are cute. From an outsider's perspective, it is barely noticeable; he isn't a talkative person to begin with and tends to be shy around strangers. Thus, it won't be out of character when his conversations with you are awkward and few and far between.

❀ It doesn't become clearer whether he likes you once you manage to get his socials. He keeps sending you random memes that might be slightly flirtatious in nature. Most of them, however, are funny, never failing to make you laugh. Vernon, to be honest, is way too scared to talk to you directly, and he feels like using memes instead is a great replacement for words. Once he feels comfortable enough, he will be sending you essay-length messages, and there will be no stopping him.

❀ Similarly to Minghao, he likes to have deep conversations about topics that he finds important. He values your opinions a lot and wants to hear what you think. Whether it is a serious political issue or a film he recently watched, he will immediately text you a seven-page essay to ask you what you think.

❀ It takes you ages to figure out that he has a crush on you, and it isn't because Vernon finally decided to confess. No, one of the members accidentally lets it slip; they didn't mean to, but they were getting so frustrated by Vernon's inactions that it came out without thinking.

Dino/Chan

❀ He thinks he is being super slick with his crush and that no one can tell, but in reality, everyone, including you, is aware that he developed a crush on you. He is trying his hardest to show off, failing miserably at it as he does. Dino wants you to see him as a man, not the youngest member of Seventeen, and he will do his best to come across as mature. The members are torn between making fun of him or helping him out; he is a bit hopeless.

❀ Truly, Dino having a crush on you is nothing short of adorable. He can be confident about himself and his abilities; he knows that he is handsome and quite witty when he wants to be. Still, he can be a bit shy when talking to strangers, being used to having the older members take charge of those conversations. Hence, it might take him a bit to come up to you and start a conversation, but once he does, he will be as flirty as he dares to be.

❀ He will be inviting you along for anything and everything. When he wants to go for a hike, his first instinct is to text you to come with him. It isn't a date unless, of course, you suggest it is. He keeps inviting you along on these pseudo-dates, testing out the waters and whether you are interested in potentially going on a real one.

❀ Please help him out and confess to him first. His members are tired of his endless rants on how beautiful you looked and how incapable he was when it came to telling you that. They might accidentally murder him.

in public, not much. the most he’ll do is maybe hold pinkies or have an arm around you/on you - but at home he is allll over you. literally will lay his head on your shoulder whenever he can, kisses (esp forehead ones) are a must, too. he basically cannot bear to be away from you when you guys are alone.

he’s your boyfriend, but first and foremost, he’s your best friend (corny, whatever). he really values deep relationships with people and if he can’t talk to you like you’re his friend, then he’s most likely not dating you. he wants you guys to be able to goof off and be comfortable around each other. definitely likes to do stupid stuff with you like trying to cook and failing miserably.

you could not waterboard this information out of him but he is 100% the little spoon. he likes to lay his head on your stomach or lap, have your arms around him from behind - all that jazz. he also definitely mumbles in his sleep when you guys cuddle, especially if he’s extremely comfortable. he also loves when you scratch his scalp or back to help him fall asleep. and for you, he likes to draw shapes on your torso with his fingers - it just relaxes him for some reason.

matt is definitely a family-oriented person so he knows that if you two end up getting married he’d want to settle down with you and eventually have kids. he helps a lot around the house, especially with things like laundry (duh), dishes, anything that involves cleaning. he hates cooking though, but will do it if it’s necessary - he just prefers your food over his. also hates folding laundry and mopping. he’s mostly a dishes, laundry, vacuum kinda guy.

he wouldn’t hold any resentment or hard feelings (unless it ended badly). basically very civil. generally i think he wouldn’t go out of his way to contact you if things break off, but he’ll occasionally check on you or ask your friends about you if he can. he’d still hold some love for you in his heart, but ultimately he wouldn’t really want to stay friends.

—‘F’ IS FOR FIANCÉE (how do they feel about commitment?)

absolutely knows he’s going to marry you some day if you guys are long term. he wouldn’t be a fan of getting married young but if you guys are still together in the future he could see himself being with you for the rest of his life. commitment is a big deal to him and i think he’d appreciate someone who is the same.

it’s matt like… he’s a sweetheart. he doesn’t treat you like you’re fragile, but more like you’re something special to be admired. you’ll catch him staring at you all lovey dovey sometimes to which he’d blush and turn away from. other times he’ll caress your cheeks before going in to peck you on the forehead or lips. all in all he leaves feather light touches everywhere he goes (because he knows you deserve to be treated with care and love).

—‘H’ IS FOR HUGS (do they like hugs?)

is this even a question? he may not be all that touchy with his friends or with you in public but if you offer a hug he can never deny it. he’s a sucker for having you close to him. he likes feeling cherished and safe, and that’s how he feels when you embrace him. you are the living embodiment of his safe space.

—‘I’ IS FOR I LOVE YOU (how long does it take them to say the ‘l word?’)

i think it would take him a while to say it out loud. it’s not that he didn’t develop those feelings - he actually knew he loved you pretty early on into the relationship. he just doesn’t want to scare you off by saying it too soon, so he actually waits for you to say it first. but once that first ‘i love you’ passes, he’s saying it all the time. in his good morning texts, whenever he leaves for a meeting, whenever he ends a call. all. the. time.

—‘J’ IS FOR JEALOUSY (how do they get jealous?)

matt doesn’t get jealous often. he trusts you wholeheartedly and he expects the same from you. the only time he would get jealous is if you were like overly touchy with a friend or something, but other than that he really isn’t worried about stuff like that. he knows you love your friends and you show that through affection - he would never in a million years be jealous of that. not when he knows that you’re his, and he’s yours.

—‘K’ IS FOR KISSES (what's their kissing schedule?)

sorry to burst the bubble here but i honestly don’t think he’d be a big kisser. he loves to kiss your hands, forehead, cheeks, etc. but kissing on the lips is only reserved for when you guys are chilling in his room alone. ofc if you ask for one or initiate it he won’t decline - because he does enjoy kissing you. he just prefers to keep that stuff private, so on a day-to-day basis it won’t really happen often since you guys are almost always with his brothers.

—‘L’ IS FOR LITTLE ONES (how are they around kids?)

he definitely adores kids, he just finds them so adorable. kids love him because of his calm nature, and he’ll happily do whatever with them if it means it’ll make them laugh or smile - even if it’s a princess makeover. however, he does get a little awkward sometimes since he’s not sure how to act around other people’s kids, but he’s still an absolute angel to them.

usually if he wakes up before you he’ll scroll on tiktok while stroking your hair. he likes to enjoy the mornings with you since it’s one of the only times you two can be fully alone. you guys will watch videos or listen to a podcast or something while you cuddle and get ready for the day. he also loves brushing his teeth with you - he just melts for domestic stuff like that because it makes him feel like you guys already live together.

—‘N’ IS FOR NIGHTS (how will your nights go?)

typically he’ll get you guys some food before calling it a night and retreating to his room. he’ll put on a movie or a show that you both strictly ONLY watch together. you guys will cuddle up and make dumb jokes about what’s going on on the TV. this always ends up with you two fallen asleep before the end of the movie, the low buzz of dialogue like a lullaby in the background.

—‘O’ IS FOR OPEN (when will they tell you about themselves?)

if you start off as friends i think he opens up way faster than if you don’t. due to the fact that you’d be hanging around him and his friends and brothers, he’d open up way easier because he feels comfortable around the company that you’re in. he’ll still take a while, but he definitely becomes more talkative before you enter a relationship - since he believes that you both shouldn’t go into dating each other blindly. he wants you to know the ugliest parts of him, and him you. that way he’ll know he really wants to be with you, because you’ll accept him for who he is - and vice versa. he’s very in tune with his emotions. although it would take him a while to feel comfortable crying in front of you (not because he’s ashamed, but he physically can’t cry in front of people).

—‘P’ IS FOR PATIENCE (how patient are they with you?)

this man needs an award for his patience. matt has had enough experience with his brothers to have mastered the art of it. but also, he just doesn’t like the idea of pressuring you. if you don’t want to do something, or go somewhere - he will immediately accept it, no questions asked. if you stutter a lot or just have trouble speaking he’s always there to help you, no matter how frustrated you are. also, this goes without saying, but he’s extremely understanding and patient of any mental health problems you have.

—‘Q’ IS FOR QUIZZES (how much do they remember about you?)

i feel like i don’t even have to say anything. he remembers every little detail about you. your favourite colour, your mom’s maiden name, your childhood pet’s name. he knows what you’re afraid of, where you like to eat, he remembers every important date of your relationship - and any significant dates for you, too. he writes them down in his journal so he remembers but he honestly doesn’t have to. it’s like he has a little file reserved just for you in his brain because he knows everything.

—‘R’ IS FOR REMEMBER (what is his favorite moment in your relationship?)

it would definitely have to be right before you two got together. his most vivid memory of your early relationship is the first time that you guys had a genuine, deep conversation together. you were sat by the pool late at night, both of your feet dangling in the water below you as you spilled your souls to each other. that was coincidentally also the night that he first held your hand and asked you on a date.

—‘S’ IS FOR SECURITY (how protective are they of you?)

he’s protective, but not in a male alpha toxic way. he just wants to know that you’re safe and happy. he’ll always drive you home and wait for you to get inside before he drives off - if you’re out with your friends and you need a ride, he’s there, if you go home with a taxi he asks you to update him so he knows you’re okay. if, on the off chance that you absolutely have to walk, he’ll stay on face-time with you with your location shared on his phone so that he can make sure you make it home alright.

—‘T’ IS FOR TRY (how much effort do they put into dates? special occasions?)

plans dates literally weeks in advance. he always just wants things to be 100% perfect for you because you deserve nothing less. he loves to surprise you with nice things if you're going out for your anniversary or birthday. also he's just a sucker for seeing you all smiley and giddy so he will sit and plans for a month if that's what it takes. one month he couldn't make it back home in time for your birthday (so he said) but that morning you woke up to him cuddled into your side, his luggage at the end of the bed. apparently he "made some adjustments" so that he could come and see you.

— 'U' IS FOR UGLY (what's a bad habit of theirs?)

he bites his nails. a lot. that’s why he always asks you to paint his nails with him; it helps him stop nibbling on them. it’s usually because of his anxiety but over the years it just became a habit that he hasn’t been able to kick. he’s tried several remedies but the only thing that seems to help is painting his nails nicely - because then they’re just too pretty to ruin!

—‘V’ IS FOR VANITY (how insecure are they?)

he doesn’t get insecure often but when he does it’s bad. he’d get really anxious, and he’d probably feel a little stupid for it - he’ll always eventually let you know what’s going on if it does happen. you’re the only person that can really comfort him when this occurs, because his brothers don’t really know what to say to bring his ego up, especially if it’s about his looks or how he is as a boyfriend. overall though, he doesn’t get insecure about your relationship too much. he knows he’s a great boyfriend, and he knows that you love him just as much as he loves you.

—‘W’ IS FOR WHOLE (would they feel incomplete without you?)

again, not even a question. similar to how he feels when he’s without nick and chris (but to a lesser extent) is how he feels when you’re not around. he just feels like he’s not whole. especially if he sees something he knows you’d find funny or enjoy and you’re not there to experience it with him he’ll get a little upset - mostly when he’s on tour and you can’t come.

—‘X’ IS FOR XTRA (a random headcanon about them?)

i think he’d love if you drew on him - and also head scratches. he’ll sometimes just straight up ask you to doodle on him when you’re bored. he really just loves to see what you come up with, and he likes sporting around your drawings like a badge of honour. also if you give him head scratches and have your nails done? he’s a goner.

—‘Y’ IS FOR YUCK (what are some things they dislike?)

he absolutely hates hates hates being messy. sure, he’ll leave his shoes lying around occasionally or forget to throw wrappers away - he’s not a saint - but he always goes back and fixes it/cleans it up. he just can’t stand being in a dirty environment. also, he doesn’t really put many condiments on his food. if he does it’s like… minuscule.

—‘Z’ IS FOR ZZZ (some of their sleeping habits?)

as i mentioned before, matt is a mumbler. he won’t say flat out sentences but you’ll catch him sleepily muttering gibberish before he falls back asleep and is knocked out cold. he also likes to sleep in. he could not be an early bird if he tried. i feel like he also likes to curl up when he sleeps, especially if you’re cuddling. he’ll curl up into your side, or both of you will, whilst facing each other, blankets up to your chins as you fall into a peaceful slumber.

AITA for telling a school counselor about what my friend does online?

I (F minor) am in middle school. I have a group of friends, about 8 people, but this is about one girl in specific we can call Annie. All of us are mutuals on tumblr, twitter, etc. and we have a discord server too.

All of us are into a lot of the same things, like art, anime, video games, and have a lot of the same hobbies. Most of us also struggle with mental health stuff like anxiety and/or depression so we regularly talk to our school counselor (F, Idk how old she is).

Anyways, we're all really close and we get along really well for the most part, but lately Annie has been doing stuff that really bothers and worries us.

She's VERY into internet discourse. Has 10 paragraph long DNI page, is constantly starting fights with other people, etc. She usually argues about stuff like LGBT+ rights, womens rights, etc. but also a LOT of fandom discourse which is my biggest concern.

A lot of my other friends reblog/retweet stuff like anime gifs, fanart, memes, etc. but pretty much every post I see from Annie is her fighting with someone over shipping or something like that.

A lot of the posts are basically:

Her talking about how disgusting a certain ship or character is

How everyone who likes that specific thing is a degenerate, or freak, or pedo or groomer.

How if you like problematic ships you need to get a therapist, or you deserve to be hurt. Once I saw her arguing with someone who said they write certain stuff due to trauma and she said "You don't have trauma, you're either lying or you actually liked it and that's why you write such disgusting nasty shit"

Fighting with random people and accusing them of being a predator or a pedo

Breaking her own DNI (which says adults, proshitters, etc. DNI) and then getting mad at the other person for responding

It's really upsetting to see because she does this CONSTANTLY. She never seems to use tumblr/twitter to do things she actually likes. I never see her reblog gifs or memes or just silly lighthearted posts about stuff she enjoys.

It's especially upsetting because we're minors and she TELLS PEOPLE THAT. Like she's arguging with people that she thinks are pedos or child predators, while openly telling people her actual age. To me that's like covering yourself in bloody steaks and then jumping into water full of sharks.

I was really starting to get concerned because even in our private discord server she's always talking about how much she hates these people or whatever and how they should die, a lot of the time she says things like "they should get the wall" or "I hope their nasty fanfics happen to them irl that would teach them lol" and it really freaks me out.

She also talks about seeing the "child porn" that these people make which as far as I'm aware is drawings of characters but it still freaks me out how open and calm she is about looking at what she THINKS is child porn. I asked her if it's child porn why is it being linked in callout posts for other people (including minors!) to see and not being reported to the FBI but she just gets mad and changes the subject.

Me and our other friends have mentioned before that we don't like hearing about this kind of stuff but then she just gets mad and goes offline or gives us the silent treatment at school.

A month or so ago I got so fed up and upset, that I took a bunch of screenshots of her tumblr account and discord messages. One thing to note is that her username is VERY specific.

It's a combination of her first and last name and her birth year. Most people will not know that, but if you know her name and birthday, it's easy to tell it's her. She also goes by her real name online which I also screenshotted as proof it's her.

I brought all this to the school counselor, and I told her how worried I was about Annie, and how I think she's doing something really unsafe. Not only is she confronting people she thinks are child predators/groomers, she's telling people they deserve to get hurt in really awful ways, and looking at porn and I don't think this is good for her mental health.

The counselor at first was like "Idk are you SURE it's her? It could be anyone online!" But I insisted that it was and explained the username thing and that this was our private discord server so obviously I know it's her.

She thanked me for letting her know and told me I was being a good friend and then we talked about how I was doing, and then I left. I kind of forgot about it until a week later.

Annie wasn't online at all and I was kind of worried, but then I saw her on Monday at school. I was with our other friends and we called out her name so she would see us and come over and she LOST IT. She started screaming at us and telling us how awful we were, and how we ruined her life.

Idk what exactly happened, but apparently the counselor talked to her and her parents got involved? Her parents now monitor her internet usage, they have child safety stuff on the browsers, and she's only allowed on certain websites for doing research for school, or watching videos on youtube on their account so they can see what videos she's watching, or playing games on steam.

She said that her parents are also putting her in therapy once a week now (with an actual therapist, not the counselor) and she's only allowed to go out with an adult chaperone (either her older sister or one of her parents).

But... None of our friends know it was me who told the counselor. Annie has other friends besides us, so they're also "suspects" for being the snitch. It seems like half of our friends are relieved that Annie is kept away from that kind of stuff and the other half are mad at whoever the snitch is for ratting Annie out and resulting in her having less privacy/freedom.

At first I was happy that Annie was getting help and being kept away from this but now I feel really conflicted. I feel so disgusting talking to her and our other friends and pretending nothing happened, knowing that I was the one who told the counselor.

Annie still talks to us but she's a lot less open. We still have our discord server but apparently her parents will read through the messages to make sure she's not talking about anything bad and that she's only talking to us and not strangers.

My first time posting. I wrote a thing and got told to share it.

The Walking Dead x Male Mute!Reader HC’s

Daryl probably didn’t trust or like you right off the bat:

• He didn’t like how quiet you were, like deadass you never made a sound, even while walking

• Doesn’t realize your mute at first and figured you just thought you were too good to talk to anyone

• Probably has beef with you because you use a bow and arrow

• He soon comes to respect you when you prove your willingness to help protect the group

• Even more so when he realizes you don’t talk because you just 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵

Rick probably trusts you right away, although he isn’t much of a fan of how you just kinda do your own thing:

• He likes that you’ll usually do what he asks(orders) - little does he know that what he tells you to do, you were already planning on doing it

• Because of your quietness, you can easily get in and out of places without being noticed - be that by walkers or people - and he 100% uses that to the group’s advantage

• Rick doesn’t like that you disappear from the group at times, even when your hunkered down somewhere; the prison for example, you’d sometimes just vanish and no one could find you

• When you come back though you usually have stuff that the group needs or wants, so they can’t be too mad

Glenn is pretty neutral towards you at first, although you somehow become pretty good friends:

• He was really unnerved from you at first, with how quiet you were and the hard RBF you got

• Because you both were quiet and quick, you often got sent on runs together and he 𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘥 it

• Glenn realized you weren’t so bad when you made a joke one time on a run;

You both were in some sort of hardware store gathering supplies when Glenn bent down to grab something. A fart noised sounded in the store and with how quiet it was, Glenn heard it loud and clear.

He stood up and looked at you in embarrassment, truly believing that sound had come from him, only to stop when he saw the grin on your face and the playful glint in your eye. You repeated the noise, blowing a raspberry at him before your shoulders shook in silent laughter.

• After that you both became good friends

• He also realized that you weren’t some hardass that was constantly judging people

• Although he’s definitely caught you staring at the others when they did something questionable, definitely judging them.

• Glenn always found those moments funny, seeing the look of confusion or disbelief on your face

Carl likes you, he thinks your really cool:

• He thinks it’s really cool how you use a bow and arrow (something Daryl is totally not a little jealous of)

• Would beg you to teach him how to use it

• You would, only to grin and silently laugh when he somehow smacks himself in the face with the bow string

• You of course would apologize for laughing and properly teach him how to use it, although he can’t for the life of him draw it back at first

• Carl also thinks it’s really cool how quiet you are as he gets older

• Young Carl was definitely afraid to approach you because of your RBF

• As he gets older though he admires your stealth and will even ask how to be stealthier like you

Other characters:

Merle:

• Merle was convinced that you were lying about being mute

• He probably followed you one day while you went for a hunt or something to confront you

• You beat his ass six ways till Sunday

• He didn’t pester you after that, although Daryl tried to kick your ass for beating up his brother

Maggie:

• She probably thought you were kinda weird at first

• But she was also really curious about you

• Her and Glenn both went to you about the other, Glenn to be an absolute simp, and Maggie to see if Glenn was truly a good guy

Shane:

• Bro hated you from the start

• Because of how quiet you are, he felt like he was always being watched (he was)

• You always had this blank stare when you looked at him, it made him feel like you knew all his secrets (you did)

• You knew about him sleeping with Lori, at first you didn’t care for it but then Rick showed up and turned out to be her husband

• Shane was only a little thankful that you were mute so you couldn’t tell everyone what you knew

• He still knew that you could destroy him through, so he was very careful

• You only tortured him psychologically a 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦

• Especially after Otis died

• You had gone with them on the run and had supposedly gotten separated from them when the walkers showed up

• Shane knew better by that point though

• You seemed to know everything

Hershel:

• Just like the rest of the group, he didn’t want you on his farm

• He seemed to like you the most though because you didn’t carry a gun - at all - and you weren’t aggressive like Daryl

• It helped that you put your bow and arrows down whenever he asked for no weapons

• Overall you were just respectful towards the man and he appreciated it

Dates with 1610!Miles and 42!Miles

So i made this at 3 am, brain half asleep, half dead, so this hasn’t and won’t be proofread 😔🤚🏻 but I still hope you enjoy EHE

1610!Miles

Now during the first dates, he’ll want to be cautious once he had actually mustered the guts to ask you out

So he’ll be sticking with the classics like asking you out to dinner, watch a movie, etc.

But as time goes by after yall started to date

He’s bound to spice it up because he already knows about your faves a lot and just wants to make you the happiest in the world

Midnight dates

I can see him just visiting your room after he’s done with Spiderman duties and asks you out on a spontaneous date because he’s missed you

“Hey there sunflower, wanna go grab some food and head up to the—“ “Miles you don’t even have to ask.”

So he brings you to like some rooftop by swinging the two of you while you held on to the paperbags of some food you guys bought

And the two of you just chill, while he sketches the scenic view (but most likely has you in it)

Dates with his art

What I mean by this is that there can be dates where he asks you to come by his place and tells you to sit down

Don’t ask just do it

Spends a good hour drawing you on his sketchbook

He does show you after!

In reference to the sunflower nickname, whenever he draws you he always puts a single sunflower on your hair 🩵 boy’s a sucker for symbolism

During these tho he likes to take pics of you on his phone without you knowing

Example is the one time he asks you to sit by his window sill and tells you to look out the window, he sneaks about a thousand pictures of you in that angle

Bonus headcannon: I see Miles having a dog, and the both of you treat it as your child. Sometimes you’d take turns with bringing your furry child home, and it has become one of Miles’ excuses to see you

I see this Miles being more of a sentimental or chill type of guy

Like the both of you cuddled up in your bed and his arm wrapped around your shoulder while he kisses the side of your head

And you see the bajillion drawings of you that he made, and he managed to make you look so pretty that it may have increased your self esteem a bit bc was this how he actually saw you? like damn

So once he showed you it was like some weight being lifted off from his shoulder

His “date with his art” would now consist of the both of you going to some place that inspires him

He makes you pose, this boy would instruct you on how to do that; the posing, where your hands should be, your facial expression, etc

He’s gonna make you his little model

Bonus headcannon: would have a cat in contrast with 1610!Miles. A black cat specifically. He would name it after some name that would be so close to yours, and he’s overly clingy to it (not as much as he is with you tho) the cat also loves you of course (but seemingly antisocial to everyone else) (its very 42!Miles behavior)

• I’ve noticed Water suns especially Pisces are really good at playing the Villain’s role in movies/series! They’re the types of villains you’ll easily remember and love to hate! E.g. Martin Kove (who plays the ‘no-mercy’ Sensei Kreese from The Karate Kid trilogy and the Cobra Kai series), Thomas Griffith (who plays the jack-of-all-trades eccentric Terry Silver from the 3rd Karate Kid movie and the Cobra Kai series) and Jacob Bertrand (Eli Moskowitz a.k.a. ‘Hawk’ from the Cobra Kai series) are all Pisces suns. Okay I’d like anyone that sees this to blind react and put a finger down for each thing in this list you relate to. There are 9 things. You can comment your score publicly or keep it private, up to you, but I think this might be interesting for some people. Here’s the list:

-Do you tend to take criticism too personally, or gotten unreasonably defensive when someone points out a mistake you made? Do you hate admitting you’ve done something wrong?

-Do you like to daydream about doing something amazing (such as saving people from a burning building, being the one to win your team the game, being an amazing actor in a movie, etc.) and having people recognize you for the great thing you did?

-Do you place in importance on being associated with important or high status things, like trying to date/be friends with the coolest kids in your classes, or choosing to go to a prestigious university over a common state school?

-Do you tell people about things you’ve done specifically to get praise for it? So what that list was a rewriting of the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for narcissistic personality disorder, where for each section I filled in one of the ways I actually feel that part of the criteria. So instead of “grandiose sense of self”, I said “bad at taking criticism”, because that’s one of the ways my grandiose sense of self actually presents. If this was the original diagnostic criteria, you would need 5 of 9 to be diagnosed with NPD.

The reason I asked you all to count how many you relate to is that I have seen a lot of egotypicals do this exact same stuff. My goal is to help someone possibly unfamiliar with NPD understand that people with NPD are not the foreign, subhuman monsters that we are so often represented as, but rather people who feel some normal human traits too much.

Hi! I was thinking of a F1 request (male reader preferably) where 2 drivers (or more) like the reader and are kinda fighting for attention, flirting and generally being sweet (like bringing reader his favorite drink etc) but reader is too oblivious to realize it happening. Eventually readers best friend (I was thinking Yuki or Danny) tells him but he stays in denial, despite liking the idea. Eventually one of the others confesses and pushes the other/s to do it as well and reader gets stressed about disappointing them, but they agree they can all date him (alternate ending: he picks one and the others deal with it lmao) and it’s just a happy and fluffy ending. I was thinking maybe Max and Charles, or maybe Lando and Oscar but honestly it kinda works with any combination. Like I said it can be 2 or more drivers, and I understand if you aren’t comfortable writing because everyone isn’t always cool with this type of stuff so ofc I’ll respect it if that’s the case. You are McLaren's social media manager, you film all their tiktoks,instagram posts and whatnot, so you're quite close to both drivers Lando and Oscar, some (your best friend Yuki) would say too close, but you never understand what he's talking about. Right now you're hanging out with Yuki in his place, you're sitting across him on the couch, he groaned and rolled his eyes at you as you put another +2 card on the table, drawing 4 cards from the deck "hey Y/N, how's the job at McLaren going?" he suddenly asked with underlying intentions you couldn't tell "it's fine,why you ask?" you answered Yuki with a raised eyebrow "oh no reasonn... you seem to get along well with the Lando and Oscar" he said while putting another card "isn't that a good thing,it's kind of my job, i don't want them to hate me" you said also placing a card down, you answer earned a shrug from Yuki "they seem to really like you" he said, you shook your head "impossible, but I'm not opposed to that" you answered while chuckling, after that Yuki dropped the subject and continued losing to you in UNO. A few minutes later Yuki decided to bring up the subject once again "So let's say you could date one of them,which one?" he asked, you rubbed your chin while thinking "hmm..can I say both?" you said, raising an eyebrow, you response earned a chuckle from Yuki "you can, but I don't think they'll like that" he said, and with that the conversation ended

You were sitting with the two drivers, scrolling on your phone trying to think about some ideas for the next tiktok video, you felt thirsty "I'm gonna go grab a glass of water" you said and stood up from the couch so it wouldn't seem like you're just walking away out of nowhere, you felt a hand force you to sit down,actually two hands, Lando's and Oscar's, you looked at them confused "I'll get you a glass of water" Lando said with a heroic voice before getting up, Oscar slightly elbowed the brit but Lando ignored that and walked to the kitchen area to get you a glass of water and returning shortly after and looking smugly at Oscar who rolled his eyes at Lando, making you think about what you and Yuki talked about earlier. Small things like that kept happening for the next few weeks, you saying you'll get something,ask for something etc, and the two boys jumping at the opportunity to provide it to you.

One day after doing some shootings for an Instagram post you were standing by yourself in a room, it was empty besides yourself, suddenly you were cornered by Lando, a determined look on the brits face "Hello, Y/N" he said, trying to make his voice deeper, you made a face and raised an eyebrow "Hello, Lando.." you said and put your phone in your pocket "I've got something to tell you!" he semi-yelled, you could tell he was kind of nervous "shoot" you said and waited for an answer from Lando "actually, Oscar also has something to tell you" he said and left, adding to your confusion as you stood there, moments later Lando came back,dragging poor Oscar with him "you go first, I'll tell him after you do" Oscar said and Lando nodded "but you are telling him, deal?" Lando said and Oscar nodded "tell me what? what's going on with you two" you asked in a confused tone "well...I think I like you,no, I know I like you, in a romantic way" Lando said first, without letting you even think, let alone open your mouth, Oscar started to speak too "Yeah, Me too, we both like you" the aussie said, leaving you shocked as you looked at them with your eyes widened "uhm...what..? you finally asked after a few seconds, you didn't know what to say, you thought about your conversation with Yuki, and how he said that the two would not want to date you at the same time, you felt a bit stressed, you didn't want to accept one and reject the other especially since you liked both of them, you train of thoughts was cut but Oscar starting to talk again "It's okay if you don't like us back, or only like one of us, but just tell us the truth,please" he said and Lando nodded,waiting for you answer "Well" you began "I like both of you, if that's fine, I just don't really know if you two would like to be in a relationship together, the three of us" you finished talking "we are more than okay with that!" Lando said enthusiastically, grabbing your shoulders and hugging you tightly, urging Oscar to join the hug. The three of you ended all cuddled up in one of their driver rooms.

Riley family photo! 🥺 Mama Riley, Simon, Joseph, Tommy and Beth!

Wanted to design Simon's fam for so long, so here we are! And I wrote a bunch more headcanons I have for them, and for the context of this photo being taken, under the cut below!! 🥺 And also, just, huge thank you to all the fic authors out there who expand on Simon's family in their fics, I live so much for all your content 😭🧡

Okay so, as for a lot of the Riley family thoughts I had when I was drawing this artwork. These may kinda be in random order..

So I'm imagining this pic was taken at Simon's mom's house! She had a friend over (or something) when Tommy, Beth(Tommy's wife), baby Joseph, and Simon, who's been visiting for the past week or so, come over.

I'm imagining this is several months post-Roba, but the Roba stuff is still pretty recent. Simon is still wearing the mask because he doesn't want his family or others to see his facial scars too often, but I imagine on some occasions, if it's just him and his fam, he's okay taking it off, but bc they're visiting the mom and she has a friend over he keeps it on.

So I think this is his second time visiting his family post-Roba? He's done some healing, and recovery since then, so he's more stable visiting his family, though I imagine it's still a weird experience for him but he's trying to get better. And yeah he's visiting for a couple weeks here. I wanted him to seem kinda slimmer tho, like he's not hugely bulky bc I imagine he lost a lot of weight in captivity and is still putting weight back on.

Also this is a total side note, but I really love the idea so much that baby Joseph brought Simon out of his shell a lot more post-Roba? Like I imagine he had a really hard time initially learning to bond again and heal, but having little baby Joseph who's too young to judge him and is so innocent, is good for him? 🤣 So on Simon's time visiting his fam he spends a lot of time with baby Jo. I think he'd thank Joseph a lot for helping him come out of his shell post Roba.

Okay, but yeah for the photo!! So Simon , Tommy and them go to visit the mom, maybe to help her move some things, or bring her over some stuff. Simon, who's staying with Tommy (bc he doesn't like to stay at his mom's house as much bc it's the childhood home) comes over too. Maybe they end up all sitting and chatting together, and then maybe Simon's mom asks if the friend can take a family photo of all of them? Bc I bet they have like, so few family photos of them as adults, if any. And so Simon, who I hugely hc hates photos being taken of him 😂 agrees ofc for his mom bc he loves her and wants to make her happy ahaha. And so they all pose for the pic together.

I think Tommy and Simon also look pretty similar, just have different hairstyles/ colours and eye colours. They're unmistakable as brothers if you see them side by side tho lol. And Beth, I imagine she met Tommy when he was in recovery, maybe they were both in some therapy program together (I don't think I hc her as a recovering addict like Tommy, but she had other reasons for being in therapy at that time in her life) and they hit it off. She has red hair bc that's the colour hair she has in the comics, and I like to imagine she's just super radiant and pretty, and maybe a little punk too? XD Or she was in her past, hence the piercings and tattoos. She's also just the coolest lady and happiest mom ever.

Also Beth definitely is trying to convince Mama Riley to get a nose piercing.

we all know he deserves some fluff in his life 🩰

genre: fluff, gn! reader, kissing, lots of love, gossip boyfriend kuni (my favorite personal hc)

+ ˚ gossiping while cuddling (gossip bf kuni)

without a single doubt, quality time like that one in particular was surely scaramouche's favorite and according to him, nothing else could outbid it either.

and, well, this is what he always aspired, to have you close by his side so you'd be secured and loved forever.

enveloping you with both tenderness and warmth, kuni had placed his head against your own to listen to your incoherent mumbling about your day.

how come your breathing was calming him so greatly? your heart, it sounded so fragile, stirring him on to protect it even further.

more often than not, you'd also ask him to tell you all about his past work place, you weren't sure what made it funnier, the stories scaramouche would come up with from time to time or the way he was telling them to you.

full of disgust and demeanor, it was safe to say he hated everyone there.

from what you can see, it was clear as day kuni loved sharing stuff with you, didn’t matter what it was.

he wasn't eager to do so in the beginning but gradually loosened up to the idea of sharing things with his s/o.

yet in truth, and that goes without saying, scaramouche was actually quite invested in the gossips and little stories you'd tell him, he'd ask more than you would’ve thought he would about them.

the worst, jarring, possible outcome would be for you to leave him on a damned cliffhanger, it was infuriating and irksome, so annoying!

his hands are now tightly entangled in yours and ever so often he‘d draw you closer as well, kissing and worshipping your tender skin while eagerly listening to the continuation of your juicy, hilarious stories.

+ ˚ painting each others nails

as you'd expect from your boyfriend, he'd do whatever you'd want, sometimes scaramouche would complain about it but do not fret, he‘d still do it regardless.

so, if you ask if he could paint your nails because you tend to mess yours up, he'd naturally agree after some bickering like "can you not even do that without me?"

but bear in mind, scaramouche wants everyone to know you're his so, what if, he'd let you paint his nails too now? it'll be a perfect outcome, a so called "win-win" situation.

"be careful!" he's squeaking as you worked your way to his fingernails, gingerly applying the black polish, slowly, you did it slow so you wouldn't mess it up.

important to note and much to your surprise, kuni was actually quite skilled in putting on nail polish on your nails.

"why wouldn't i be able to do this?"

he's shooting you a deadly glare while hiding the obvious flustered state he were in, raising a brow.

"do you humans need to be taught every single little thing?"

here he goes again, well, that was entirely different but you did not bother to speak up, being aware of his nature with words that is.

"you're just that skilled kuni."

making sure to add a little teasing, apathetic lace around your words, you had caught your boyfriend off guard, again.

he's averting his gaze from you fully now to focus on the mission ahead— that being applying polish on the nails of your left hand, but not before snarkily rolling his eyes back at you.

also in true fashion, he‘d complain every once in a while, can you stop moving? he‘s trying to get the job done, duh!

"stop wiggling around like that, you just want me to mess up!"

+ ˚ getting used to being loved

touch, intimacy and love.

three things that weren't as easy for scaramouche as someone might think.

you see, it's quite difficult to trust, to open yourself up to someone and give yourself to them in the process.

for him, it's like he showed weakness that way, something he utterly despised about not only himself, but about humans in the past.

yet as you took his hands into yours, soothing relaxing circles on his palms, the once dampened light in him, suddenly glowed yet again.

you had never seen it before like that. Of course, when scaramouche and you were together, you'd be able to coax out a couple grins or smiles from him— even with him trying to hide them, they‘ll still appear in the end.

but that glow, that damned glow and you couldn't stop yourself from looking into his eyes that shimmered with a bright indigo color.

"is this too much?" you whispered and hummed at him to be sure, not daring to overstep any boundaries or have him overwhelmed.

"yes, i‘m fine."

once, he had answered back, his hands weakly traced over your arms, melting in your skin and drawing themselves all the way to your shoulders, one second - two seconds, before pulling himself back to your hands.

the motion of it was slow and light, for scaramouche it was interesting to see how your body reacted to him.

it was almost addicting to watch and study your facial expressions— how your brows knitted together in concentration, or how he caught you chew on your cheeks as he advanced closer to your collarbones.

all the little details surely would come in handy some day, he figured.

+ ˚ conclusion and his past

truly, he wondered how he had ever gotten so lucky to have you by his side.

was this, again, some cruel trick played out by some god? or was it for one, a lucky encounter he had faced?

scaramouche was certain he'd never get this lucky again, and quite frankly, he didn't want to. His past was filled with both sorrow and hard comings, despair without a way out.

sometimes, while being close to you, while none of you spoke rather only indulged in each others embrace, he can't help himself but be encountered by those dreadful memories again.

it's as if his mind was playing dirty, as if it never let him heal but then, he's looking at you, slightly shaken and you notice, you always do.

and when you're closing the slight gap between your lips, kissing away the grim and distress, kuni had been woken up by you again, stirred from the unpleasant feelings as you reassured him that you will stay, as long as you had to until he had fallen asleep at last.

A while ago, I commissioned the wonderful and talented @nae812 to draw a scene from my YOI novelisation Can You Hear My Heartbeat. The scene is part of the Tanabata* chapter, set during the summer of mutual pining, and I'm very proud to share the absolutely gorgeous result with you:

They fell silent, watching the stars. But Yuuri’s heart refused to be still.

“O-hoshi-sama,” Viktor murmured, gazing at the sky. “I get it now. How can you look at the universe spinning in the sky and simply call them hoshi?”

Yuuri smiled. “Yeah. The stars are that majestic.”

“I like it. This is the most beautiful night of my life so far, Yuuri. Not even the White Nights can compare to this.”

The warm, reverent nuance in his voice made Yuuri tremble. This night, this place—it created a closeness he had never felt before with Viktor. As if a bridge had emerged from the sea of stars between them.

“Um, Viktor. There’s something you should know.”

“Huh?”

“There’s an even larger Tanabata festival held in Fukuoka.” The words welled out of Yuuri, encouraged by the darkness engulfing them and because they were not facing each other. “It’s because they have a huge Tanabata shrine there. I… I didn’t suggest it because you wanted to see the fireworks, but we wouldn’t have been able to stay that late because we’d need to catch the last train back. And I didn’t want to take the van because I wasn’t sure if I’d want to drink and I also don’t like to drive at night.” And because it would have been a date then. “My apologies.”

“No, Yuuri,” Viktor said softly. “I’m glad we stayed here. Fukuoka is likely overcrowded tonight and I don’t want to do that to Makkachin. Besides, here we have a better view of the stars because of less—how did you call it?”

“Light pollution.”

“Right.” Viktor’s voice was warm in the night as if he was smiling. “Thanks for introducing me to this festival, Yuuri.”

Yuuri thought back to the wish he had written on the red tanzaku. I wish that I’ll figure out my feelings for Viktor. I wish it to be love.

“I’m glad we came here, too.”

A reddish shine illuminated the lookout, followed by a cracking noise that ruptured the silence. “The fireworks have started!” Yuuri said. “Let’s watch!”

They hurried to a spot where the trees parted. Orange sparks rose into the sky and blossomed into colourful stars, illuminating rooftops and the people cramming on the beach and along the bridges, glittering on the bay. A sudden giddiness rose in Yuuri.

“When I was younger, I often imagined what it would be like to celebrate Tanabata with you,” he said. Each year, he had written a wish for it and hung it on a tree. “I didn’t ask you because I didn’t know how to do it without things taking a weird turn.”

“Really?” Viktor’s voice was hushed with an undercurrent of excitement.

Yuuri nodded. “The last weeks were very nice. I would have hated to ruin that.”

A hand touched Yuuri’s shoulder, stirring a swarm of butterflies in his stomach. “I enjoy our time together very much, too.”

“Yeah,” Yuuri said. His heart fluttered.

They fell silent, watching the colourful sparks blossoming above the town, mirrored on the silent river. The hand remained on his shoulder and Yuuri found he liked it being there.

“Yuuri?”

“Hum?”

“Will you tell me what you wished for?”

“No, Viktor.”

“I’ll tell you what I wished for in return.”

“It won’t come true when you say it aloud.”

“But if a wish isn’t voiced no one will know and they won’t do anything about it.”

“The gods will.”

If I were already sure of my feelings, this would have been the perfect date, Yuuri mused.

“Will you tell me your wish when it comes true?”

You will know when it comes true, Yuuri thought, struggling to tame the tempest of emotions raging within his heart. “Yes,” he said, leaning his head against Viktor’s shoulder. “I will.”

*On Tanabata or the Star Festival:

According to a legend, Princess Orihime fell in love with a cow herd named Hikoboshi, and their love was so great that both neglected their duties whereopun Orihime's father, the Emperor, banished the pair to the heavens with the Milky Way separating them. Orihime became the star Vega and Hikoboshi became the star Altair. Only once a year, in the seventh night of the seventh month, they can meet--but only if the skies are clear.

Tanabata (七夕) is celebrated in July, but in some regions, it's celebrated in August (depending on whether the Gregorian calendar or the lunar calendar is used). The stars Vega and Altair are visible in Japan from July to September. There's a couple of customs surrounding the festival, one of them is to write your wishes on paper strips and hang them on a bamboo tree. These trees are set afloat or burnt during the night. Tanabata is a very popular festival in Japan and often referred to as the most romantic night of the year. However, since in most regions, the rainy season lasts until August, the chances for clear skies are 30% on average and thus people pray for good weather several days in advance.
