I'm a fanfiction author who writes canon, pre- and post-canon YOI fanfics, and I will continue writing for as long as YOI brings me joy, which is probably going to be for a very long time because YOI makes me that happy and I still have so many ideas I want to write.

I will continue sharing my stories for as long as people are willing to read them and the same goes for my meta. And if people no longer want them, I will continue writing them for myself because I can't stop writing but I also can't bring myself to share something that personal with a non-existing audience.

Viktor's not listening. There's no time for little worries or concerns. He's already up on his feet. One hand clings back to Yuuri's, while the other reaches down and... “Viktor?” Grabbing the nearest toy by his feet, Viktor twists around and shouts, “MAKKA, FETCH!” as he whips one of Makkachin's many squeaky toys across the room. It only takes a second before Makkachin's flying after it, ears high, nails clacking against the wooden floor in her rush to attack. Her toy squeaks its way to an early grave all while Viktor and Yuuri dash up the stairs. “Viktor,” Yuuri laughs, panting by the time they've reached Viktor's bedroom door, “that was mean.” “Don't care.” Viktor doesn't bother to look back. Not until the door's wide open, and they're rushing inside. Only then does he turn around to face Yuuri. “Now, come here.” Yuuri's mouth opens, but it's devoured by Viktor's, his gasp swallowed all the way down as his back hits the door with a hard enough knock to rattle the hinges. The sound just as quickly turns into a whine. Yuuri's hands scramble across Viktor's back, looking for the perfect place to find purchase. This is a little more like it.

I hope someone leaks the movie or script

I know it's near high impossible with how guarded Mappa is with everything involving yoi, but it would be nice getting at least a synopsis of the story they worked on, so we could know at least some of Victor's lore. Maybe some sketches or storyboards. Skaters worked on it, didn't they? Maybe choreography. The movie was so close to being finished and we get nothing except a few empty words? Is the movie forever going to be lost in Mappa's server or some producer's USB? All that work and passion that went into it for years?

reread yoi's lovely confession in uruwashi no yoi no tsuki ch15 and ichimura's reaction to yoi's confession while she faced away, asking her to turn around, and then seeing her bright red face, reminded me of another one of yamamori mika works where the girl tries to hide her Extreme Blushing but ends up showing the person she loves

yes i'm writing about hirunaka no ryuusei again

let's compare the two scenes. both girls are Highly Embarrased, facing away from their love interest. the guys are surprised to what's going on. first is uruwashi no yoi no tsuki ch15:

then hirunaka no ryuusei ch40:

then, the guys become aware of what's happening and they both ask their girl to turn around. they want to see their face (always, but guess that's not possible). the girls are hesistant, understandably, because they feel vulnerable. their mask, not showing their face, feels safe. their secret would be out in the open if they'd turn around. there'd be no going back.

to the left is hirunaka no ryuusei, to the right is uruwashi no yoi no tsuki:

the girls turn around. faces bright red. bashful. honestly, they've never looked more cute. the guys see it clearly on their face. no hiding in plain sight.

I love reading/writing Yuri!!! on Ice stories that center around Viktor's insecurities around his "worthiness" of being w/ Yuuri.

The fandom has (understandably) created tons of content around Yuuri's insecurities, but I find it really compelling to ideate around this "Living Legend" superstar athlete -- who, prior to finding love, built up pretty much his entire life around his career -- and his worry that the love of his life will one day tire of him, especially the closer that Yuuri approaches retirement and no longer needs Viktor to be his coach.

It's the subject of an ongoing post-canon, married Viktuuri story I've been working on, which currently has three chapters out (of five total, but that chapter count could very well increase, lol). You'll see it's part of my larger series, but IMO, you can still enjoy/understand it without reading the other works.

It's a Viktor POV fic, whose premise is that Yuuri (who has now achieved certification to teach group pole dancing classes) one day gets approached by a fellow instructor around teaching one-one-one classes. He mentions this idea to Viktor, but appears underconfident around it, so Viktor volunteers to become his "trial student" in order to help his husband get used to the idea around someone he already knows/is comfortable around.

While the overall story might appear light-hearted (especially b/c this arrangement gives these two ample opportunity to be all flirty and eros with one another), a big theme in the story is Viktor's insecurity around being a beginner/bad at something. It's a concept that he's still not used to, post-retirement: not immediately being an expert at things, and having to accept that he can be bad at something, and still entirely lovable, anyway.

The other element of the story that's been exciting to explore is the idea that Viktor is approaching this arrangement with a somewhat ulterior motive that taps directly into his own insecurities. While, yes, he is ultimately hoping that being Yuuri's student will boost his husband's confidence in his own teaching skills, he also believes that he needs to find more and more ways to "hold" Yuuri's interest, especially given his student's approaching retirement (after the 2022 Beijing Olympics). Once Yuuri retires and no longer needs Viktor as his coach, what could Viktor have to possibly offer him? Maybe if he learns how to pole-dance, his husband will still find him sexy and inspirational and interesting.

It's easy for an outside observer to be like "Viktor, you idiot...Yuuri has been obsessed with you since he was twelve, he's not going to suddenly think you're boring when you're no longer his coach", but that's the thing about insecurities: they're rarely rational, or based in logic. Mine certainly aren't.

As accomplished and impressive as he is, Viktor still needs reminders that who he is, inherently, is absolutely enough, whether that means he is an expert pole dancer like Yuuri, or a complete novice. A lot of this also taps into my headcanons around Viktor's childhood trauma and strained relationship with his parents, which has given him significant abandonment issues.

Gah, thinking about it really gets me in my feels; I can't wait to finish this WIP up, and hope you all would consider checking it out, now or once it's completed.

It's for the beach scene in Chapter 18, in which Yuuri and Viktor make a trip through the countryside of Hasetsu during the summer of mutual pining:

He had read only two pages when his phone buzzed.

Frowning, he picked up it from the nightstand. His heart did a flip as he recognised the sender.

[This was a wonderful day. Thank you, Yuuri.]

Attached to the message were three pictures. Recognition set in the moment Yuuri opened them. The first was the one the stranger from the main island had taken of them and Makkachin at the waterfall. A second one Viktor had taken on the beach as they had lain on the blanket, again with Makkachin between them. A third showed Yuuri on Mount Tenzan, sitting with his legs angled, gazing into the distance with a thoughtful expression. Viktor must have shot it when he had photographed the panorama.

We look happy, Yuuri thought regarding the beach photo, while patting Makkachin absentmindedly. Even when we’re bickering.

Weirdly, Viktor had not sent the one where they were both looking to the camera, but the one he had shot when Yuuri had said something about poor illumination due to the waning daylight. He teased me about it, and I laughed.

I was right, Yuuri thought as he studied the muted colours. Despite the fading light, their eyes shone as if a sliver of the sun was burning in them as they gazed at each other. This is how he looks at me when he’s lovestruck. A pleasant chill ran through him, releasing an echo of that moment on the beach. He’s been looking at me like this all the time, but I needed a photo to notice.
