Venti, Zhongli, and Neuvillette eggs headcanons

(Not entirely sure if it’s true that Neuvillette is a dragon but this headcanon is will the assumption that he is and will be suggesting female/afab reader, so be aware.)

Venti

Having his eggs would have you ending up carrying multiple eggs, about 5-7 though don’t worry as they will be pretty small (about the size of your thumb tip) due to his true form being a wind spirit.

The shells of the eggs would oval shaped and soft to the touch so they would have to be handled gently.

Speaking of the shells they would be the color of aqua color, the same color as his braid tips for those wondering why.

Zhongli

Having his eggs would have you only ending up with 1 though the egg will be very big that by the time it’s ready to be laid you would look like you were in your 6 month of pregnancy.

The shell would be elliptical shaped (the same shape as an ostrich egg for those wondering) and as hard as a rock as you probably already guessed.

The coloring would be a dark brown with orange/yellow starting at the top before fading away into brown the lower down it goes.

Neuvillette

Having his eggs would have you either having 2-3 and would be about the size of soft balls. (The ones used in baseball)

The shells would be circular shaped and as hard as thick glass.

Their coloring would be a pale blue that seems to shine white in the right light and sparkle so they would easily be mistaken for large pearls.

currently at work at a pretty massive picrew project. i’m designing a picrew that has as many options as possible, keeping in mind things i’ve heard people complain about picrews lacking.

it is otherkin/therian/plural/alter focused. if you are any of these things and want to request something you frequently are frustrated about picrews lacking, please let me know!!!

planned features

-all features with color will have a large set of colors. the colors included are red, orange, yellow, green, aqua, blue, purple, pink, brown, dark brown, peach, white, grey, and black

-all color options will have a secondary layer with the color at 50% opacity. this way you can mix and match different color combinations to get your desired shade. white and black layers can be used to lighten or darken

-choose from flat faced, muzzle, or beak

-variety of mouths with flat tooth, fanged, and sharp toothed options

-eyeshadow/eyelid color options, as well as color options for bags under eyes

-a variety of pupil shapes

-hair separated into bangs, sides, back, and extra. will include a wide selection of different styles and volumes

-ear types are human, pointed (elf/vampire), cat/fox/wolf pointed animal ears, dog ears, fins, droopy (sheep/deer), rabbit ears

-antler and horn options with a variety of shapes. will include homestuck troll and helluva boss imp patterning for fictives

-wings and tails

-outfits and accessories

-glasses (some picrews genuinely don’t have these for some reason)

Tour the Ocean through the Art of Sound

The ocean is one of the largest ecosystems on our planet. From eye-catching waves to the darkness of the twilight zone, it’s a place filled with mystery and rapid change.

For a scientist studying ocean color at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, there was one more question–what does it sound like?

Before long, a “symphonic ocean experience” was born, combining satellite imagery, ocean color data and programming expertise. Learn more about how data gets converted to music and sound here:

Bering Sea

This melody explores the phytoplankton blooms in the western Bering Sea along the coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula collected by Aqua/MODIS on May 15, 2021. The melody created for this image was aimed at capturing the movement of the eddies or the circular movements of water. Data came from the image’s red, green, and blue channels.

Rio de la Plata

This melody explores a spring bloom in the South Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil, lending the water many different shades of green, blue, and brown. The Rio de la Plata estuary in the northwest corner of the above image gets most of its tan coloration from sediments suspended in the water. The melody paired with the data evokes the sediment plumes and swirls happening off the coast.

Coral Sea

Data for the sounds of the Coral Sea were collected over the course of one year from the Aqua/Modis satellite. The information was extracted from a series of 32-day rolling averages for the year 2020, displaying the movement of chlorophyll a data.

Chlorophyll a is a specific form of chlorophyll used in photosynthesis. It absorbs most energy from wavelengths of violet-blue and orange-red light. It is a poor absorber of green and near-green portions of the spectrum, and that’s why it appears green.

Western Australia

Off the coast of western Australia is the appearance of swirls in the ocean. To catch the movement of the Indian Ocean, data was collected from 31 days of imagery examining blue wavelengths of light. The information was gathered from the Suomi-NPP/VIIRS instrument aboard the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) series of spacecraft.
