Hi I’m not sure if you’re aware put people are going around screenshotting your tumblr and sharing it on callout and adult yume hate tweets. I felt so weird messaging that’s why anon but I wanted to let you know about it, with the harassment and doxxing that has happened recently! I’m a fellow Jack yume and adore your art so this is sad to see.
This is one of the occurrences.

So called ''normal people'' when they got nothing to do
Yeah I'm aware of the rabid anti-yume swarm in twitter..... I've seen plenty of moots getting hate campaigns and being doxxed to the point where I'm almost desensitized to it. What's the point of persecuting yumeshippers?? Especially the adult ones who quite literally keep the game alive and running for consuming and making content and buying merch? So they can feel entitled to the non-existent anime boy and feel morally superior for not having ''disGusTInG THOUGHTS'' about an imaginary little guy despite literally commiting a cybercrime and thinking they've just did a favor society?? Truly a priviledged chronically online teenager moment™
I was already expecting to get hate at some point but thankfully I've been focusing on my academic and social life lately so discourses online just seem more and more insignificant and irrelevant (as they always should be) going outside and touching grass is really healing and important to make you realize that there are greater irl problems to worry about than protecting fictional characters and harassing strangers on the internet, everybody should do that methinks 🧡
I might be a target of doxxing one day and honestly??:? I don't care. It's gonna be funny as hell. Cause it's probably some american teenager who thinks that doxxing an user in another country is gonna make the FBI arrest me for kissing my fictional blorbo in my head and that I'll be beaten up on the streets lol. Mini Karen, I assure you no one in south america cares about fictional character discourses to the point of making threats as much as people in the US do (and u guys somehow think that's normal behaviour) much LESS in my city, it's gonna do nothing 😭
Anyway, thanks for the heads up!!! I hope you thrive with your yume with Jack, he needs more love, don't let gatekeeper losers ruin your vibe 💗💗💗💗

I love earnestly and unironically calling conservative men bitches. I’m obsessed. Looking a wealthy white cishet christian man probably named John or Dave right in the face and saying “you’re being kinda bitchy, are your hormones acting up maybe?” really fucking makes my day

So I just read this somewhere on LinkedIn, haven’t stopped crying. Why?
Because all of this is nonexistent in my country.
Because I recently lost an awesome job opportunity just because the managers were illogically clung to the idea of the position being 100% on-site, even if it wasn’t a customer facing one, and even if the office was located in an overly conflictive and dangerous area, and my working shift would end at 9 pm.
I told them my concern, and they chose to increase the base salary instead of changing their minds about switching to remote working. Even when this position was 100% remote in all other countries they have presence at.
Even when the recruiter and the director himself interviewed me from the comfort of their homes in Italy and Latvia at weird evening times.
And this is too stupid.
In all the jobs I’ve had so far, my colleagues from other countries always work remotely. My local team and I are the stupid ones who have to go to the office at least two or three times a week. It doesn’t matter which company it is, or what kind of position it is about. We always, ALWAYS have to go to an office.
This is particularly traumatic for me (yes, TRAUMATIC) in a city like this, located in the third world. One of the most chaotic cities on the planet, with the worst traffic and deficient, slow, and inadequate public transportation systems where a major disaster happens every year. Where you can spend two hours trying to cover a 10 km distance.
This is one of the dirtiest cities in the world, with the highest levels of environmental pollution, litter in the streets and broken sidewalks that, if you’re not careful enough, you can step on and fall to the ground or into an open sewer. This is one of the cities with the worst rates of violent crime on the streets, countless kidnappings, rapings and femicides, and rampant drug and people trafficking.
And natural disasters. Yes, we do have rainstorms, floods and winds for most part of the year, along with incoherent temperature changes. And.. overly strong earthquakes from time to time (7-8+ degrees of magnitude) that can happen as you’re commuting to the office in the middle of the traffic at peak hours, or as you’re packed like a sardine in the underground, or at the 15th floor in the office, or inside their elevator with 10 strangers around you. Plus, we have too many hurricanes from both ocean sides, and volcano ashes that worsen my asthma, for which is recommended to stay indoors.
Well.. for me, having to commute to an office every fucking day has turned my work life into a nightmare, into something tremendously traumatic, depressive and deteriorating. Even more so because of the need to force myself to socialize in office settings, wearing uncomfortable clothing that makes me feel like a clown, surrounded by people from a backward and poor culture where they only watch Televisa soap operas as kids. A culture of nosy and gossipy people who don’t respect personal space nor personal boundaries, people who excessively use physical contact in unnecessary ways.. who are envious, jealous, classist, racist, misogynistic, and terribly competitive. People who instead of valuing my strengths and helping me overcome my weaknesses, chooses to see me as a threat, as a rival that has to be put down and eliminated. People that come from a nepotistic culture of laziness who do everything half-heartedly and get everything in life by being either the boot-licker of the boss, or simply friends or family with someone with power and influence in the company.
So why does remote work hardly ever exist here? First, because of the local culture. People from this damn country don’t know how to exist without being surrounded by others. They don’t know how to be by themselves, nor how to work without being micromanaged and without gossiping against each other, like the telenovelas they watch. And second, because this is a petrol based country, where petrol extraction and supply is controlled by the government and therefore, they need to sell gasoline at all costs. Having a mostly remote national workforce would kill their fuel business, so they do everything they can to promote on-site work by hindering laws.
My life.. it would be totally different today if there were remote job opportunities in this shitty country. Having a remote job would have allowed me to move to a better country already, as a digital nomad.. a country that has a better infrastructure, better laws, better services, better geographical conditions, and most importantly.. a better culture.
So here it is.. the text from LinkedIn..
“Remote work does not mean Work from Home (WFH)
Remote work means Work from Anywhere (WFA)
Here are a few other things it means:
1) It means not being handcuffed to an expensive city with a high cost of living.
2) It means access to the best opportunities from where you live your best life.
3) It means flexibility to work when you are most productive, not a rigid 9-to-6 shift.
4) It means anywhere is your office: a cafe in Paris, co-working in Melbourne.
5) It means trust & responsibility, with a culture of accountability and initiative.
6) It means a greener lifestyle, reducing carbon footprint, eliminating useless commutes.
7) It means improving your health & well-being instead of 2H a day commuting.
8) It means being a global citizen: colleagues of different cultures & time zones.
9) It means not having to choose between a fulfilling career or life: you get both.
10) It means breakfast with your spouse before work & dinner with kids at night.
11) It means being there for a family member who is dying of an illnesses.
12) It means quick adaptation to new technology, staying ahead of digital trends.
13) It means focusing on results and outcomes that matter rather than clocking hours.
14) It means removing the stress and anxiety that can come with office senseless politics.
15) It means having your ideal work environment to foster your creativity & focus.
16) It means doing the best, most meaningful, impactful work of your life.
17) It means seeing your kids walk, laugh & talk for the first time.
18) It means creating a more inclusive and diverse workforce.
Actually, remote work is the future of living!
It's about upgrading quality of life for billions of workers & their families globally.”

In response to staff's recent post concerning AI and how we now have to opt out of our work being scraped by AI on here:
Staff y'all really decided THIS would be a good time to announce this? While your userbase is already upset because your transmisogynist CEO is having a public meltdown online (instead of, you know, getting a PR team to address users' concerns, at the very least)?
I've supported Tumblr financially before. I've purchased checkmarks. I've purchased ad-free browsing and then disabled it, because I genuinely think this website has been a great alternative to other shitty social networks in the past, and could absolutely continue being that great alternative if given the chance by the people who make these sorts of decisions - but for all your talk about how you want to make Tumblr better and continue improving on it, you sure do seem determined to run it into the ground. Including in terms of financial viability, because I have SEEN smaller sites like Pillowfort run successful fundraisers and manage to stay afloat despite userbases a fraction of the size of yours, because your userbase feels exploited, used, and disrespected by you.
Your lack of financial viability and the userbase's contempt towards staff is a symptom of how you treat them. And if you don't get your act together soon, there is only so long people are willing to spend on a platform that seems to actively go out of its way at every opportunity to make choices that they are CLEARLY not on board with.
Anyways, join Pillowfort, Cohost, and/or InkBlot Art (InkBlot and Pillowfort explicitly do not allow AI art, idk if Cohost does but I know the company that runs it put out a very strongly-worded manifesto criticizing NFTs which did state that trying to promote those on Cohost was not allowed, and from their other stances on the current state of the software industry, I'm guessing they'd probably be against AI art). All of these platforms are great alternatives to Tumblr (InkBlot is more of a DeviantArt alternative, but still), especially for creative folks, and Cohost allows customizing your posts with CSS (like. a lot. You could make a post look like a Discord chat log if you wanted, that's how customizable it is.). InkBlot Art is QTPOC-owned. All of these platforms allow NSFW, have filters to allow you to control what you see on your dashboard, and Cohost allows you to make multiple pages (like sideblogs), follow from pages that aren't your main page, and switch your main page at any time.

The projectors keep coming out of the woodwork and it never ends. Again, if you are seeing CSEM on television or on social media report it to the police! The FBI and the Police will laugh you out of the office for trying to report fictional objects that don't exist. It's clear some people have zero reading comprehension given that they were responding to my previous post. Antis once again trying to project their sick and twisted interests on to someone pointing out their insanity. They're the masters of gaslighting and manipulation; so much so they need their own category in the olympics. The fact that they think it's acceptable to compare real children to objects is nothing short of horrifying. Imagine going through life thinking children are objects or something that doesn't exist. How dehumanizing, how shameful and inhuman must you be to make a mockery of real human suffering because you need to protect your pixels more so than the well being of actual people. We know for sure, with this kind of response, they would turn a blind eye to the pain and suffering of children.

Something I very distinctly remember from high school was a kid asking a math teacher how often we would actually use something we were learning in real life. And this woman looked him dead in the face, in completely 100% seriousness, and do you know what she said?
"I use it every day."
Surely the math teacher will not have a biased view of how often the average person will use a math concept.

The thing I hate the most about Christmas is that it has the simplest, most obvious holiday gimmick ever (give and get presents) but the Christmas Lovers™ just. Refuse to accept that this could possibly be a factor in why people who aren't children like Christmas over other holidays like sorry but you live across the street from your parents I dont believe that you literally only ever see your family But One Day A Year on Christmas, so the whole "I just love being with family uwu" schtick is so fucking transparent just say you like presents!!! Just say it!
"Oh the strange mystical unnameable magic of Christmas..."
Yeah that's presents and enforced Christianity and it's never been mystical or strange
#I have had two people in my life ask me about Christmas traditions with my family when not forced to do so by a questionnaire of some kind#every year everyone I know asks me what I got for Christmas#THE PRIORITIES ARE NOT OBFUSCATED IN ANY WAY#Cassidy.txt#I genuinely and truly would have so much less of a problem with people acting like I'm a serial killer for thinking Christmas is overrated#if they would admit that they like it mainly bc of presents#but instead I'm painted as a hater of humanity bc I think Santa Claus is fucking stupid and pointing out you could do literally every singl#'Christmas activity' whenever you want but you dont. you ignore your parents who live across the street until it's FB photo time.#so I guess there's also a kind of Christmas lover who just likes the social cache floating around this time of year#if it seems like I post about this a lot it's because everyone ignores it whenever I have brought it up interpersonally in any way :)#if you dont like Christmas you get social ostracization#FROM ADULTS?#You asked if I'm excited for Christmas and just said 'not really' and then we dont talk for three days#it's just a fucking day you could give people presents and do stuff together whenever you wanted!#put down the hallmark channel. it's just a fucking day like any other. you give everything your own meaning and I find none in it and#that takes nothing from anyone!!!!#I will say the funniest thing is hearing people describe why they like Christmas#and realizing they're just describing having time off of work#yes they're anti union they always are 🫶

Good news but bitter sweet.
Good news is the US government finally realized that deepfake po/n from AI generators is indeed an issue.
The annoying thing is it took them a year and this is the reason why they are taking action.
Tumblr media
Yup it's because someone did it to a popular celebrity with a giant fan base. Not the evidence of deepfakes of child p/rn or the women being harassed by this but Americas sweet heart.
I will add at least now they are noting this but it's still just annoying.
Also to anyone who doesn't know deepfake po/n has been a big issue for a year and there are AI bros who see no issue with it.
Also how it works is someone can use your image or your children's or siblings, put it in an AI generator and then they can turn your photo into por/n.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Above is a real Ad on X/twitter I have actually seen some pop up in my comments or feed. It's very disturbing but hopefully with the government noticing this something will be done to stop this.
Fingers crossed.

Sometimes I wish I could treat people the way I treat bugs. Either run from them in fear, or crush them with a book.
