Does anyone have any tips on how to get out of the “clean plate club” mindset?
As a kid I was forced to finish everything I ate and was made to feel extremely guilty for leaving anything behind even if I was full or in pain. I still carry this today, I’m slightly better about it now, but everything I eat it feels like, especially around family, I end finishing the food at my own expense. I genuinely feel like I cannot simply stop eating in the middle of a meal without immeasurable guilt. It’s become so ingrained and I hate it. Before I was taught that, I used to eat like a bird, and very little only when I was hungry. As I kid whenever I was given the opportunity, like thanksgiving to portion out my own food, chose extremely small and restrictive amounts so that I wouldn’t be in pain after dinner. I feel like if I wasn’t trained and guilted into this way of eating as a kid I could’ve grown up without hating my body.
I just want to learn to stop, all advice appreciated and comments are welcome

Trader Joe’s has a lot of food and snacks that are low cal and low sugar but trick you into feeling full, also the meal portions are small so if you have to eat in front of someone it’s a good option. I’ll be posting a haul soon🦋

one of my favorite low calorie lunch/snacks!
however much chopped carrot you want (i usually go for under a cup, which is 52 calories)
whatever seasoning blend you like (0 cal)
i like to take two whole carrots, peel and chop them into little bites and sprinkle seasonings on them. they're super good for killing salty cravings but filling because of the fiber in the carrots.
my favorite seasonings to put on them right now are noble made bbq blend and trader joe's mushroom umami (i also love vegan ranch seasoning on these but i am out of it right now) you can also use everything bagel which is yummy but it does have calories so if you're wanting to avoid extra cals i wouldn't use it :)

Overwhelmed about mid terms….
Hey!
Just me checking in. I have my mid terms on Saturday. Just feeling really overwhelmed, under prepared and unhappy. I just feel so gone and I just want to curl up and watch TV and cry about my body. I feel like I am getting a lot of back fat and I feel so heavy. I need to know…am I the only one absolutely exhausted and unhappy at mid term??
