A/N: I’m so sorry this took so long, I’ve literally been locked in my room for two weeks with no motivation. I really hope that y’all like this chapter. I’m also hoping to work on some other stuff coming up soon. 😁

Y/N’s POV
Nick and Matt stood at the island as me and Chris walked into the kitchen. I caught Nick’s eye as I set down enough food to feed a small militia. He just stares.
Matt hits him in the shoulder, prompting him to give him a dirty look before speaking. “I’m sorry…” He looked like he wasn’t sure what all he needed to apologize for. “I’m sorry that I punched you” he nodded toward Chris. “I’m sorry that I made you cry, I feel really bad about that.” He averts his eyes, and I think I see a small glint of shame.
I physically can’t stay mad at him, and I make it very obvious when I envelop him into a rib crushing hug. He whispers a small thank you in my ear before I walk back to the other side of the island to unpack the food. As I start unpacking breakfast I feel arms wrap around my waist, and a chin resting on my shoulder.
I freeze up, and Chris mumbles a quick “is this okay?” Into my hair. I look around realizing that Matt and Nick don’t even notice, much too invested in their food to care. I nod my head, trying to will the rosy shade to leave my face.
I’m failing miserably.
after breakfast me and Chris went upstairs to watch a movie in his room. Matt was quick to respond in the worst way possible.
“Sock that wang before you bang… and please be quiet, I don’t want to hear my brother doin it”
Y/N: 😨
Chris: 😮
Nick: 😟
Matt: 😁
needless to say, me and Matt practically teleported upstairs and away from that mortifying experience. Me and Chris enter his room in a fit of laughter, practically collapsing onto the bed.
After a second I noticed that Chris had stopped laughing… his laughter is addictive, and I already missed it. I turned to see him staring at me with a look in his blue eyes that I couldn’t quite grasp. He looked happy and sad and something else all at once.
“What?” I giggled as I said it, still thinking about what Matt said only a few minutes earlier.
“are you doing okay?” This question again… I never know what to say when people ask me that. Right now I’m doing great… but in 30 minutes, or a week, or even a month I might break down again.
that’s never the answer that people want. They want something simple, yes or no. He stares at me patiently waiting for my response, it makes me feel bad for not having one.
“I’m okay right now…” he gives me a quick nod before speaking again.
“Okay, will you tell me when you aren’t doing good?” Why is he offering this, he doesn’t want to deal with me. “You need a safe space, and you clearly aren’t going to tell Nick. Let me be your safe space.”
“okay”
With that we got comfy on his bed and found a movie.
“”“”“”“”“”
things carried on like this for months.
doing good.
going down.
running to Chris.
repeat.
he was always so sweet and caring. He would hold me while I cried Myself to sleep, he would walk me home early from an event if I wanted to leave, he would hold my hair back and get me a heating pad when my cramps got bad… no matter what, he was there. He had also started being more touchy in public, leaning into the fake relationship for those around us. It made me feel things that I tried to avoid for years.
I think I hate him… how DARE he make me fall in love with him, knowing that none of this is real. How dare he kiss me at parties, and hold me during movie nights, and make me feel safe when none of it is real for him.
“you okay baby?” He snaps me out of my thoughts with the use of his new favorite nickname for me. I melt when he calls me his baby, unfortunately a small part of me also dies inside every time I hear it.
“yeah, just a little tired.” We’ve been at this party for like three hours, and I haven’t even touched my drink. When Chris is tipsy he get more brave with his PDA, I don’t want to risk forgetting a single moment where he is touching me.
“do you want to walk home?” He doesn’t want to leave, he shouldn’t have to leave because I’m sad that he doesn’t love me.
“no. we should stay, you’re having fun. I’m actually going to go get a drink, maybe it will make me feel better.” He looks at me for a second before letting go of my hip, allowing me to grab a drink.
“”“”“”“”“”
How did I get here?
It’s like one second I was listening to Chris tell a story, and now I’m dancing to some annoying pop song. I need to find Chris, I definitely had a few too many drinks.
I stumbled around for a minute, everything is spinning and making me want to throw up. I don’t know if I can walk all the way home, but I don’t want to make all of them leave early. I grab my phone in an attempt to call Chris, but by the time he picks up I’ve forgotten what I was doing.

Chris’s POV
I look down at my phone to see that Y/N is calling me, and it makes me a little worried. I pick the phone up to my ear, trying to head over the sounds of music and talking. I don’t hear her, only making me more worried.
She almost never drinks, because she has a very low tolerance. Last time I saw her, she was already three drinks in and proclaiming her love for the song that was on.
That was an hour ago.
I quickly scour the crowd in an attempt to find her face. And when I do my heart drops.
There she is in her skin tight jeans and corset top, looking lost with tears in her eyes. I rush to her side, immediately pulling the drink from her hand. She looks like she’s about to start crying.
“hey baby, can you look at me please?” When I say that she starts crying and she doesn’t seem like she’s stopping any time soon. “Hey, it’s okay. Do you want to find somewhere quiet so that you can sit down for a minute?” She nods her head aggressively before stumbling towards the bedroom of whoever is hosting.
The Golden Trio
From: Chris
can y’all meet me in the master bedroom, Y/N is really drunk and needs to go home.
From: Nicky Bo Bicky
for sure, I’ll bring some water for her.
I turned to Y/N, she looked out of it. Then all of a sudden life came back to her eyes in the worst way possible. She almost fell down in her attempt to get to the bathroom.
“it’s okay baby” I whispered sweet nothings to her as I held her hair and rubbed her back. Nick and Matt showed up shortly after she finished dry heaving, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen her drink anything as fast as she drank that water.
If I thought it was a hassle trying to get her in the car, I had no clue how hard it would be to get her up a flight of stairs. She giggled as I picked her up bridal style… it made me so happy to hear her laughing.
once she got into more comfortable clothes, she fell asleep in no time.
as she held onto me and nuzzled into my side, my heart shattered. All I want is for her to be happy, but I know that I can’t fix everything. I kiss her on the forehead before rolling over and going to sleep.

‘So I have a little favour to ask’ Carly sang down the phone to you and you couldn't deny the sound of her voice filled you with joy. You'd been home from Portugal for two weeks now and you’d missed being around her everyday. Your mood significantly dropping since you’d got back home but it wasn’t just the absence of your best friend in your life that was making you miserable.
Not a word had been exchanged between you and Mason since that night he left you in bed. Not a call or a text. Nothing. No sign of life from him at all and the longer it went on the more your heart broke.
‘Oh yeah, what’s up?’ You asked her, hoping it was nothing too much as you weren’t in the mood.
‘Welllll, Ben and I were hoping to host a little gathering at the weekend and I was hoping you’d come’ she asked sweetly but you could tell there was something else.
‘You know I will, so what’s the catch’
‘Fine’ she laughed. ‘We were hoping to make it a pizza making party, like do something a little different? Bens just got the new oven installed and wants to try it out’ she explained.
‘Let me guess, you want me to make the pizza dough?’
‘Well you are a professional baker’ she giggled. ‘Pleaseeee I’ll make sure I’ve got all your favourite toppings and I’ll get you a bottle of that fancy gin you like’
‘Oh yeah?’
‘I mean you’ll have to share it with me but of course’
‘It’s fine i’ll do it you’ laughed, thinking it would probably be a good idea to socialise again after keeping to yourself for a little while but there was a thought itching away in the back of your brain. ‘Hey, Carly. Who else is gonna be there?’
‘Oh the usuals, Dec, Lauren, Woody, Kayla’ she listed off and the omission of a certain someone’s name made you relax. ‘Bens also got a friend from home here and possibly a couple of the Chelsea boys might come. Oh and Mason too, he’s free that weekend’
‘Oh so quite a few then’ you breathed, your heart sinking as she finally listed his name off but you’d already agreed to go and couldn’t back out now no matter how much you wanted to.
You thought about it the whole afternoon though. It felt too soon to see him but you knew you’d have to get it over with eventually. It’s not like you didn’t want to talk to him, often finding yourself typing something out for him to message but you were too scared to hit send on anything as he was yet to make a move himself.
When you made it home, your concierge waved you over before handing you a parcel. You took it with a smile, the box being heavier than you first anticipated as it wasn’t overly big but you managed to get it upstairs and once you were in you tore into it. Unsure of what was inside until you’d taken all the bubble wrap off to reveal the hand decorated tip jar that Mason had painted for you. Your heart leaping at the memory of when he first showed you his design and you spent the next few minutes giving it a proper look over.
It was all still there, the pretty flowers and little cakes, the heart with gwens face in but what really made you melt was the detail on the bottom you missed. His initials, MM, in a little heart and you had to bite your bottom lip to hold your emotions in.
All you could think about was messaging him, just wanting to hear his voice but after how things were left you were still feeling unsure of yourself and if he’d want to talk so you resisted. Instead looking back at videos you’d taken of the pair of you on your week away, your favourite being the one from a pool day in the middle of the week where he was giving you a tutorial on how to dive into the pool. You could hear your voice over the speaker telling him there was no chance in hell you’d ever get in there and the sarcastic pout he gave you made you smile.
You managed to hold it together but as the days became closer to seeing him you could feel yourself freaking out. You decided to throw yourself into work and the night before you distracted yourself by making all the dough for the next day. Making way more than you needed to but it seemed to be your coping mechanism for the night so you didn’t think about looking back into his brown eyes again.
When you arrived at Bens the next night you were thankful that Woody and Kayla arrived at the same time and helped you carry everything inside and once in, you made the rounds and said hello to everyone. There were a few faces you didn’t recognise and when you were sat with Carly you watched a girl come from downstairs and lounge over the back of the sofa like it was her own.
You were constantly watching the door, waiting for a specific person to show and just like usual he turned up late so you were semi caught off guard.
You heard his voice before you turned to give him a once over and you hated the way your tummy sunk at the sight of him. The last time you’d seen him he was abandoning you in your bed as he made it clear you were nothing more than someone he wanted to fuck for the week. Now he was just Mason again and you weren’t sure you’d be able to differentiate between the two.
You couldn’t take your eyes off him though, watching him say hello to everyone before he got to the girl who’d come from upstairs and they both looked thrilled to see each other. Him wrapping his arms around her waist as she buried her face his neck and you had to turn away before you burst into tears.
Who was she? And why were they so cosy? You knew the pout on your face was visible and before you could stop yourself you were tugging on Carly’s arm.
‘Hey, Carly? who’s that girl?’
‘Who, Kenny?’ She asked but you could tell she wanted to roll her eyes a bit. ‘Ben invited her, they’re old friends and she’s here for the weekend’
‘Oh right… What’s she like?
‘She fine’ she shrugged but you knew there was more to the story. ‘I wish she wouldn’t lay all over the sofa like that though’ she laughed and even though it was in jest you knew she was serious. ‘I think Ben’s been trying to set her and Mason up for a while now but I’m not sure how well it’s working’ she told you and you felt your heart sink. You didn’t push her for anything else though and soon enough you felt a hand on your shoulder that was gone as soon as it came.
‘Ladies, how are we?’ Mason smirked, leaning over to give Carly a quick kiss on the cheek before looking down at you. ‘You alright?’
‘Good thanks, you?’ You asked, keeping still just in case he tried to kiss your cheek too but he didn’t move a muscle. Looking down at you with a blank expression and you hated not being able to read him.
‘Yeah not bad. It’s good to see you’
‘You too’ you whispered. Not sure how good it was to see him right now and his standoffishness was making your heart shatter.
Mason was about to say something else when the sound of his name being called across the room startled you both. Looking to see Kenny waving him over and he gave you a sympathetic smile before leaving you alone.
You couldn’t lie, his apparent coldness hurt and you had to turn away from Carly so as not to let it show how upset you were. The fact that he couldn’t even seem to touch you in some way for more than a second made you feel rubbish and you knew you’d be in for a long night which was only made worse by the fact Mason and Kenny seemed to know each other and Ben was trying to set them up. You felt him slipping through your fingers even more and you had to give yourself a mini pep talk to carry on.
Not wanting to be a party pooper you put on your brave face and went to sit with Kayla and Woody. Catching up with everything they’d been up to and reliving your favourite holiday moments before Dec, Lauren and a few others joined you. Dec giving you a sympathetic smile but you just shrugged your shoulders. Not wanting to speak about any of it.
You could see Mason out of the corner of your eye, standing with Kenny as they chatted just the two of them and you wondered why he never came to join you until Carly called you into the kitchen and they finally joined everyone else. Realising you must have been the reason he didn't want to sit with everyone and you felt your eyes sting.
You kept away from him on purpose after that, not wanting to keep him away from his friends so you stuck into helping Carly in the kitchen until she got hot and said she wanted to go and change. Leaving you on your own to finish up cutting the pizza toppings.
‘Sorry, y/n’ you suddenly heard behind you, the sound of Mason's voice making you jump but when you turned to face him, he was standing as far away from you as he could get. ‘Shit sorry, I didn’t mean to make you jump. I was just wondering if you could grab me a glass?’ He asked quietly. Head nodding to the cupboard above your head so with a quick nod you pulled one out and handed it to him.
Your fingers brushed, just for a second, but when you looked up he was looking down still. Unable to meet your eyes so you turned back around to continue chopping.
You heard him move, thinking he would be leaving but when you felt him next to you your heart gave a thud. Carrying on chopping as he faced inwards towards the kitchen but you were waiting for him to speak first.
‘Sorry we haven’t spoken much lately, I’ve just had a lot on’ he told you quietly and you knew it was the worst excuse in the world from him. The way he didn’t care enough to be honest with you made you feel sick and you had no idea how to respond
‘S’fine’ you shrugged, eyes down as you bit the inside of your cheek.
‘No it’s not. I know I just left and that wasn't cool’
‘Its fine’
‘Y/n-‘
‘Mase?’ Ben suddenly called, head popping into the kitchen and his eyes lit up at the sight of him. ‘Ahh there you are. We’re playing Pictionary and Kenny needs a partner. You coming?’
Mason didn’t respond, his eyes flashing down to you first but you just gave him a forced smile.
‘It’s fine, go’
‘Y/n-‘
‘Y/n, you wanna come join? I’m sure we can find you someone’ Ben interjected, cutting Mason off thankfully but you just shook your head.
‘No thanks, I’ve got some stuff to finish in here’ you told Ben before looking back up into Mason's soft eyes. An unreadable expression behind them but you knew you couldn’t look at him for too long. ‘Go on, I won’t get finished otherwise’
‘You sure?’ He asked but you just sent him a nod back. Looking back down to what you were chopping before you felt him sigh and push himself up to leave. The feel of his hand on your waist making you freeze as you felt him press a fleeting kiss to the crown of your head before walking out the door to leave you on your own. Your eyes filled up immediately but you blinked the tears away and took a deep breath in to steady yourself.
He was so confusing and truth be told, you couldn’t face watching Mason with her so you kept yourself out of the way on purpose. Making up jobs in the kitchen and setting everything out for everyone else so that when Carly came back everything was good to go and it was worth it to see the smile on her face.
You let everyone else make their pizzas first, helping Woody out a little bit as he seemed to have no idea what he was doing but you didn’t dare look in Masons direction as Kenny was half draped over him. Soon enough the kitchen was clearing as people took theirs out to the new pizza oven to be cooked and you felt like you were able to take a breath.
After everything that had happened tonight you weren’t very hungry but now everyone had left you could make yours in peace and you were almost done when you felt a presence beside you and you knew who it was immediately
‘You still going?’ Mason asked, taking a seat beside you as you popped the last of your toppings on
‘I’m almost done, I want it to be perfect’ you told him quietly ‘I take pizza very seriously’
‘Well yours looks way better than mine’ he huffed and you sent him a small smile. ‘Are we okay?’ He asked carefully, his voice small and scared almost and when you finally made eye contact with him you saw how sad he looked.
‘Why wouldn’t we be?’
‘You just seem… quiet’
‘Long day’ you shrugged, gulping back your emotions but before you could say anything else you heard people start to filter back inside. ‘Go on, yours is probably done. I’ll just cook mine and be in’
He didn’t reply, just stood up with a sigh as you were already making your way outside where now only Ben and Carly were. You told them you were fine to finish up if they wanted to go inside and you were left with just your thoughts.
You were being miserable and you knew you were and you knew you had to snap out of it. You were the one who caught feelings, clearly he hadn’t so this was a you issue and if you didn’t fix up you were risking ruining the whole friendship group.
Before any of this Mason was a friend and the friendship came first. There was no point dwelling on what had happened and the fact that nothing probably ever would again but you missed being civil with him more than anything so after a quick pep talk you told yourself you’d make an effort with him to be normal. You’d leave the past in the past and move on so you could have your friend back as that was the most important thing. Even if that meant watching him fawn over someone else.
These things don’t work out like you want them too sometimes and that’s okay. But your mood wasn’t and after the realisation hit you, you made sure you’d be cherpier when you went back inside.
You felt lighter as you made your way back in, stopping in the kitchen to cut your pizza up and as if by magic Mason appeared. Walking over to the fridge to grab a drink before standing opposite you.
‘I came to check up on your masterpiece’ he smiled sweetly but he seemed taken aback as you looked back at him with a bright smile.
‘Oh yeah? What do you think’ you asked, showing it to him proudly with a wide smile and your sudden change of demeanour had him looking at you bewildered but he soon mirrored your expression and smiled back at you widely.
‘I think, I probably should have asked you to make mine’ he laughed, eyes wide as he looked over your food and you figured this would be a good time to give him an olive branch and let him know everything was okay.
‘Here, why don’t you take this bit’ you told him, popping a slice on his plate and the rosy blush that took over his cheeks made you smile.
‘No I-I couldn’t’ he stuttered, looking at you like he was in shock but you nodded at him encouragingly.
‘Please? I’ll never finish it all. I want you to have some’ you told him, placing your hand on his arm and his eyes flashed to where you were touching him before looking at you with a soft smile.
‘Thank you’ he whispered but before anything else could be said, Carly was calling you over to sit with her.
‘I’m gonna go eat, but I’ll see you in a bit, yeah?’
‘Okay’ he breathed, a huge smile on his face as he looked at you and you hated the fact that all you wanted to do was kiss him but with one last smile you let him go and took your seat next to Carly.
You sat and listened to everyone talking, chipping in when you needed to but your eyes were on Mason and Kenny, hating the way she looked at him and even worse the way he was looking at her. You told yourself outside you’d have to get used to it but it was going to take more than one evening to do that.
You ignored it though until you couldn’t, watching them discuss the pizza on his plate before she picked up the slice you’d given him from yours and take a massive bite from it.
You were filled with rage instantly. That slice was meant for him, a peace offering of sorts to let him know that the pair of you would be okay and he’d just handed it over to his new play thing like it was nothing.
Your appetite was gone in an instant so you let Carly know you were quickly running to the loo so you could sort yourself out but memories of you and Mason getting physical on this very counter made your blood boil and you just wanted to go home.
Everywhere you looked you could see him and you knew you couldn’t stick around much longer.
Everyone had disbursed by the time you got back downstairs but you found Carly as quickly as you could so you could say goodbye before slipping out.
‘I don’t wanna cause a fuss, I’ll just go it’s fine’ you told her with a weak smile. ‘It’s been a long day and I just don’t feel great’
‘Oh no’ she pouted, pulling you into her body for a hug and you had to bite your lip so you didn’t cry. ‘You sure you’re alright?’
‘I’m fine. I’m just gonna head out before anyone sees. Just tell them I don’t feel good if anyone asks’ you told her and even though she was pouting at you tried not to let it bother you too much as you hated upsetting her and if you carried on seeing how sad she was you’d end up staying.
You’d almost made it out the door when a voice you didn’t recognise called your name and you turned to see Kenny smiling at you sweetly.
‘Hey, I don't believe we’ve met. I’m Kenny, you’re y/n right?’
‘Uh yeah, that’s me’
‘I thought so, I recognised you from everyone’s holiday pictures. I was so jealous but I’m so happy my spot wasn’t wasted’ she smiled but her words confused you.
‘What do you mean, your spot?’
‘Oh Mason didn't tell you?’ She asked, brows raising in shock like she couldn’t believe you didn’t know but you could tell she was about to take some satisfaction in filling you in. ‘I was meant to go with him originally but like a week before I had a really important job come up and I had to back out. I told Mason to find someone else to take and he mentioned you guys were friends. You know what Masons like he probably didn’t want to say anything and upset you’
Her words sliced through you, gaping holes left in your chest at the idea of being just an afterthought for Mason. Second choice, just like normal. You felt like you couldn’t take in a proper breath and you were hoping she didn’t notice how her words were tearing to pieces but even if she did you weren’t sure she would have cared. ‘Don’t worry though, he’s promised me a solo trip just the two of us soon to make up for it’ she laughed before her eyes were back on you. ‘You're leaving so soon?’
‘Yeah I’m not feeling great, I'm just gonna head home’ you said quietly, eyes on the floor so she couldn’t see the pain in them and you stuffed yourself into your coat so you could leave.
‘Oh okay, well hopefully see you around’ she told you sweetly but all you could do was nod before rushing out of the door.
You could barely focus as you drove home. Feeling even more used now that you knew you were his back up. Probably only sleeping with you as you were all he had to choose from and you felt even dirtier than before.
You’d really let yourself believe you meant a little something to him but you couldn’t stand thinking about him anymore. Even if you were only friends you thought he would have treated you with a bit more respect than this.
You were even more emotional when you finally got to the safety of your flat. Tears filling your eyes but you resisted the urge to let them escape. Jumping in the shower before changing into a comfy pair of pjs so you could get ready for bed and cry your little heart out but fate wasn’t on your side tonight.
You thought about ignoring the knock on your door, but it was late so you knew it wasn’t random. Opening up the door with a huff to reveal the last person you wanted to see and the sight of him raised your blood pressure.
‘Mason, what do you want?’ You asked with furrowed brows and you knew you looked pissed from the way he was looking back at you.
‘Charming’ he laughed, but you didn’t react. Watching his face drop a little bit but he carried on. ‘Carly said you weren’t feeling too well I was just coming to check on you’
‘There’s no need, I’m fine’ you told him bluntly but just like usual Mason was giving up without a fight.
‘Can I come in then?’
‘Where’s Kenny’ you questioned, eyebrow raised but he looked even more confused at this.
‘How should I know?’ He scoffed, looking at you like you’d lost your mind and you realised you couldn't send him away no matter how much you wanted to. Hoping he’d see you weren’t in the mood for visitors and leave but this was Mason you were talking about and as soon as you moved aside to let him in you wished you hadn’t of.
He walked through your flat, making his way to the living room where he perched himself on the arm of the sofa so he could face you as you stood far away from him in the doorway. Hands behind your back as he played with his in his lap, both in silence for a beat until he looked up at you with his big eyes and you nearly lost it.
‘Are you gonna tell me what’s really wrong? Cause you look fine’ he told you and you felt your anger rise up in your throat.
‘Oh and you’re the authority on who’s sick then are you? Sorry I didn't realise I had to meet your standards to pass. What do you want me to do, cough up a lung? Would you believe me then?’
‘What the hells gotten into you?’ He laughed, a look of disbelief on his face and you knew you had to tone it down a little bit.
‘Nothing’ you huffed, eyes on the floor so he couldn't read you but you saw him shuffle about uncomfortably.
‘Well it has. Look I know things have been a little weird since Portugal but I’m only here for a few days and I…’
‘And what?’
‘I miss you’ he whispered. You heart breaking at the sound of his voice but you knew you had to stay firm. ‘Things aren’t the same as they used to be. What happened to the contract? Friendship comes first and all that shit? You can barely look at me now’ he told you, unable to hide the hurt in his voice but you were too upset to let it affect you. ‘Last time we spoke at Ben's things seemed better and now you’ve gone all cold again’
‘I said already, I don’t feel well’
‘You don’t expect me to believe that’
‘Believe what you want’ you mumbled and the sigh that he let out almost broke your heart.
‘I hate all this, being off with each other and stuff. Why can’t we just go back to how it was?’
‘Cause I fucking like you, you idiot!’ you suddenly exploded, silencing him immediately as he stared at you in shock and you knew you needed to take it down a peg. ‘I like you’ you told him, your voice sounding vulnerable and small as your eyes fell to the floor. ‘I know about the contract and I remember the rules but I like you. And I’ve been trying to make it stop but I can’t and then you shared my pizza that I gave you with some random girl I’ve never seen before right in front of me’
‘It’s just pizza, Muffin’ he said quietly, trying to hide the smile on his face but you saw it clear as day. He hadn’t called you Muffin since the second to last day in Portugal, the sound making your knees weak and your eyes water but you were determined not to show him what he was doing to you.
‘It’s the principle’ you huffed shakily, wanting him to understand how insignificant he’d made you feel and by the way his eyes dropped you think he got the picture. ‘It hurt, Mase’
‘I didn’t mean to hurt you’ he told you softly, standing up to be closer to you and when he reached for your hand you let him take it. ‘That’s the last thing I’d want to do. Truth is I never actually gave it to her, she picked it up off my plate before I could say anything. I was actually pretty pissed cause I wanted to eat it, like I’d saved it till last on purpose and I knew I couldn’t ask you for another bit’ he laughed, trying to make you smile and you almost conceded. ‘There’s something else though, isn’t there’
‘What do you mean?’
‘It’s not just the pizza you’re upset about. Something else is wrong’ he stated and you froze.
What did he expect you to say?
You’d admitted you liked him and even though he hadn’t said it back he also hadn't shot you down. If anything he looked lighter from your confession and you figured you had nothing left to lose so you decided to be honest.
‘That girl.. the one who stole my pizza’
‘Kenny?’
‘Who is she?’ You whispered. Your voice sounding scared like you might not like the answer but from the way Mason was looking at you you felt yourself settling down.
‘A friend of Bens from back home. I didn’t meet her that long ago but he introduced us cause she lives in Manchester now’ he explained and you hated the fact she lived so close to him.
‘Oh, so you haven’t known her long?’
‘Not really. Why?’ He asked and even though it was petty you just shrugged your shoulders. ‘Hey come on. What happened?’ He asked, pulling you back towards the arm of the sofa and in between his legs so he could hold your waist but you kept your arms crossed in front of you. ‘Please tell me, Muffin. I can’t help if I don’t know’
‘When you told me you’d paid for my part of the holiday already and were waiting to convince me, were you telling the truth?’ You asked quietly, not wanting to look him in the eyes so you focused on his shoulder instead but you could see from the corner of your eye the confused look on his face.
‘Of course I was. Why? Did someone say something different?’
‘She told me that space was booked for her. That you’d invited her first but a job came up and she couldn’t go so that’s why you never asked me sooner cause it never really was for me. I was just back up but you didn’t want to upset me’
‘First of all, that’s bullshit. It was always meant for you and I’ve got the texts to prove it’ he told you, reaching for his phone to prove his point but you felt a little silly now.
‘Mase it’s fine-‘
‘No, I wanna show you. I don’t want you to think that when it wasn’t that at all’ he told you, his voice hard but you knew his frustrations weren’t aimed at you.
Tumblr media
‘See, it was always for you’ he told you gently, your heart sinking at the fact you’d believed her so easily.
‘Why did she say that to me then?’
‘Cause she’s probably annoyed you ended up going’ he laughed. ‘Look, I’ll admit I took her out on a date a few weeks before I came down that weekend we… you know for the first time’ he explained. ‘Nothing special, just dinner and some drinks and she asked about any plans over the winter break and this came up. I think Ben must have mentioned it already and she told me she was up for it if your space was available and I said I’d let her know. Obviously it wasn’t and she got a bit jealous I guess and wanted to make you feel a bit shit about it’
‘Well mission accomplished’ you laughed, uncrossing your arms so you didn’t look so defensive but you were still a little uncomfortable so you just played with your fingers and he let out a gentle sigh.
‘Muffin, who are we trying to kid?’ He asked you softly, your eyes on his face immediately and the soft look on his face made your knees weak.
‘What do you mean?’
‘I mean, there’s clearly something here. Why are we trying so hard to fight it?’ He asked quietly and you felt your breath catch in the back of your throat. ‘Did you mean what you said earlier?’
‘Depends, what did I say?’ You laughed and he squeezed your hips softly.
‘When you said you liked me, did you mean it?’ He questioned, wanting an answer but you weren’t ready to speak so you just nodded, hoping that would be enough for him. ‘Well, I like you too. A lot in fact, more than I ever intended to. And I know it’s against the rules but fuck all that’ he laughed. ‘Why are we fighting so hard against what we want?’
‘I’m not sure’ you whispered, eyes finally meeting his and you smiled at him but his last words to you in Portugal were still ringing in your ears. ‘I guess after what you said on our last night away and how you were for that whole day, I just didn’t think you’d ever want anything more from me. You made me feel like crap, like you got what you wanted and you were done’
You watched the hurt flash over his features, reliving his words to you from that night and even though he hadn’t said a lot, he knew his words along with his actions had really upset you.
‘I didn’t say any of that stuff cause I believed it’ he sighed. ‘You don’t know how many times that night I came back to your door ready to knock it down and tell you how I was feeling. Why do you think I left that night like I was going out of my mind and I was crying like a baby’ he laughed but your heart broke at the sound of his confession. ‘I was so caught up in you and then reality hit that I probably can’t give you what you want. What you deserve’
‘What do you mean?’ You asked quietly, hands finally resting on his chest as you reached out to touch him and he smiled and pulled you in closer at the gesture.
‘You’re this big scary boss lady who’s got so much going for her, you know? Like you’ve got your whole little empire and that’s your world. I thought being with me would be too much for you or something. I’m so far away now and I can’t give you the time you deserve. Maybe I’m not making that much sense’
‘You’re really not’ you laughed, thinking he looked adorable when he rambled but you knew he wanted to carry on so you let him.
‘I’m so proud of you and everything you are and everything that you have. I guess I don’t want to get in the way of that’
‘What if I want you in the way?’ You asked and he looked up at you hopefully. Flashing you your favourite smile that you hadn’t seen in what felt like a lifetime and you had to really hold back to not kiss him. ‘Yes I’m busy and yes I have a lot of stuff to do but do you remember what you said to me on the stairs at Ben's house before we went away?’
‘I said a lot of stuff’ he winked, clearly reliving all the ways he’d tried to woo you on the stairs and you blushed as you remembered his words.
‘You did’ you laughed, nodding your head as you moved your hands to his shoulders. ‘But you said everyone’s got time, you just have to make it. And you Mason, I’d be more than willing to make time for you’
‘Yeah?’ he questioned with a laugh and you nodded reassuring him before his face fell. ‘I’m really sorry. I feel like I’ve acted like such a brat’
‘Did I do something?’ You whispered, wanting to get to the bottom of what really happened. ‘I feel like that last day it went all wrong. You just left without a word and didn’t even try to make it right’
‘I know, I was trying to run away I think. I knew I pushed it too far that night before and we broke all the rules but I was past the point of caring. All I wanted was to wake up next to you that morning, kiss you and tell you how I really felt. But you’d gone and then I saw you in the pool with Chilly and it drove me mad’
‘He was teaching me how to swim, Mase’
‘I know’ he laughed, looking like he realised how silly he sounded but you knew there was more to it. ‘But you told me you wouldn’t ever get in the pool for me and after we’d had the day before and it was so perfect, I could feel myself caring more than I knew I should. It fucking hurt that you didn’t ask me and I know it sounds stupid cause it is so I thought it was best to shut it down. I should of handled it differently though I’m sorry’
‘I’m sorry Mase, I didn’t even think. I never meant to make you feel like that’
‘I know you didn’t’ he smiled, pulling you in closer so that your bodies were flush against each other now. ‘There’s nothing to be sorry for I was just jealous’
‘Is that why you spoke to those girls that night?’
‘That looked worse than it was, but I get it didn’t look great so I’m sorry’ he whispered, looking at you with eyes full of guilt but you just nodded. ‘The guys were going in at me at the bar about you and asking why I hadn’t spoken to any other girls that week and then she practically crashed into me. She was as drunk as anything but she told me she was a fan so I spoke to her hoping the boys would leave me alone. She was falling all over me though and I could barely hear her so I tried to steady her and let her know I’d walk her back to her table but you with your incredible timing popped up at the worst possible moment’ he laughed. ‘But I walked her back and then her friends were asking me loads of questions about United so I just sat with them for a bit to get the others off my back but as soon as Dec told me you were out of it I left them’
‘I know’ you whispered, silently relieved that things weren’t as they seemed. ‘Thank you for looking after me’
‘You don’t have to thank me, all I care about is you being okay and I get it didn’t seem like that sometimes’ he sighed. ‘That whole day I knew it was gonna be my last with you and I was miserable. Didn’t wanna do anything or speak to anyone, like once I was over my strop that morning I just wanted to hold you cause I knew I wouldn’t be allowed to the next day. I was terrified of talking to you about anything cause I knew I’d get upset so I just didn’t and then when we went out I thought if I wasn’t around you then I could push it all down and move on and maybe by the time we saw each other again it’d be alright but as soon as I saw you earlier I knew I’d messed up. I don't think I can be just friends with you now Muffin, it’s not gonna work. Not when I know I want so much more from you’
‘Really?’ You breathed, your bottom lip wobbling as his worlds sunk in.
‘Promise. That holiday just proved to me I’d do absolutely anything for you and these last few weeks without you have been hell’ he confessed. ‘I’ve missed you. So much’ he whispered, kissing your cheek and you blushed at his words. ‘Missed holding you and kissing you and pretending that you’re mine. I’m fed up with pretending though like I’ve had enough of it’
‘Me too’ you laughed, thinking his stroppy expression was adorable but your smile made him smile too.
‘So we’re gonna do this then?’ He asked hopefully and you knew you couldn’t deny him.
‘I think so’ you nodded, holding him close as you squeezed each other tightly. ‘I have no idea how or anything but we can sort it out. I just know I want you’
‘We’ll find a way, I’d do anything to make this work’ he assured you and you couldn’t take it anymore. Leaning forward to finally kiss him like you’d wanted to for the longest time and he reciprocated straight away. Lightly brushing his lips against yours as the pair of you tried to not smile but it was too difficult. Giggling onto each other's lips before you pulled away and you just hoped you mirrored the joy that was so plainly written over Mason's face.
‘How I’ve gone that long without kissing you I’ll never know’ he told you, pressing another heavy kiss to your lips. ‘How about we start a Sugar Mumma franchise in Manchester?’ He teased, eyebrows wiggling to let you know he was only half joking but you quite liked the sound of it.
‘I mean I’m always looking for opportunities to expand’ you laughed, pulling back to look into his eyes and they were the happiest you’d seen him all evening and knowing it was because of you made you blush.
‘You gonna let me be your muffin man, then?’ He joked, referencing the fact he always asked if you had found your Mr. Muffin but little did he know he’d been your muffin man all along.
You quickly escaped from his arms so you could grab your phone, wanting to show him something he’d never seen before and when you returned he sat you down in his lap with his arms crossed over your front before he kissed your neck softly.
‘I wanna show you something’ you laughed, quickly opening up your messages to reveal to him the name you had him under in your contacts and you watched his face as the realisation hit him before he looked at you softly. ‘You’ve always been my muffin man’
‘How long has it been like that?’ He laughed, squeezing you a little tighter as he kissed your cheek but you didn’t have time to answer him as a notification from Dec came through and you were left confused.
Tumblr media
‘What’s that supposed to mean?’ You questioned aloud. Looking up at Mason but you could tell from his shy face that he knew what was going on. ‘Mase?’
‘Well I realised pretty quickly you’d gone but I didn’t know what to do so I waited until Woody asked and when Carly said you didn’t feel well I knew something was off’ he shrugged. ‘You were fine before we ate so I went into another room to try and call you but Dec found me before I got a chance and when I told him what I was doing he gave me a bit of a talking to’ he gulped, his face going as red as you’d ever seen it and you weren’t sure if you wanted to hear anymore. ‘Don’t be upset with him but he told me about when you spoke after I’d left. I don't think he told me everything but I got the main parts and I felt like such a knob. He told me he’d bang our heads together if I didn’t come over and make things right so I left and I guess he thinks if we’ve worked it out then it’s all down to him’
‘Well he’s been suspicious from the start I guess’ you shrugged. ‘You know he told me he’d love for you to have someone like me? That I could be just what you need’
‘I mean he’s not wrong but when did he say that?’
‘Day of the boat trip, when we got back from dinner and you had a word with him. I think he only kept teasing cause he was trying to push us together’
‘Well he should have saved himself the bother, I’ve been yours for a while’ he winked and you felt yourself cuddle into him as you blushed.
‘Really?’
‘Of course, had me hooked since that first chocolate muffin’ he confessed. ‘I like you a lot and I didn’t want you to think I’m like what everyone else sees me as. I love having you in my life and I love having you as a friend but lately I couldn’t help but see you as more’ he told you truthfully. ‘And then you showed up at my birthday looking hot as hell like you’re enough to drive anyone insane’ he teased and his words made you giggle as you tried to hide your face in your hands.
‘I never thought you’d see me as more than a friend’ you laughed, holding him tighter as he peppered kisses to your cheek. ‘And I love being your friend but I’ve always had a soft spot for you’
‘We can still be friends’ he told you softly. Kissing your cheek gently before smiling down at you. ‘Well just be extra special friends who kiss and get to see each other naked’ he teased and you rolled your eyes playfully. ‘Plus now you're my girl you get a prime face time slot’
‘Are you ever serious?’ You laughed, turning in his arms so you could pull him into a hug and you shivered at the way he tucked himself into your neck.
‘I’m serious about you’ he whispered into your skin and you couldn’t contain your smile but you knew in the back of your mind this wouldn’t be as simple as you wanted it to be. ‘What’s wrong, muffin?’
You gave him a sad smile, your heart thumping at how he was able to read you so easily before shrugging lightly. ‘Just worrying’
‘Well don’t, there’s nothing to worry about’
‘Well there is. What’s everyone gonna say? I know Carly will be upset I kept this from her’
‘Wanna know a secret?’ He whispered, his voice sounding playful and you looked up at him in confusion. ‘I think she knows’
‘How? Did you say something?’
‘Of course not, but just like my best friend figured it out I think yours has too. Probably knew before we knew ourselves. Remember when we were at the airport and you made your big entrance?’ He teased, making you hide your face in embarrassment but he was quick to pull your hands apart. ‘She came over to speak to me, mainly just to say thank you for the surprise but she asked me if something was going on between us as she knew you always keep your cards close to your chest’
‘Well now I feel even worse’
‘You don’t have to, she knows you’ll tell her when you’re ready’ he reassured you. Kissing you softly before squeezing your hip. ‘Are you working tomorrow?’
‘Gave myself the day off’ you told him, shaking your head into his neck and you felt him squeeze you tighter.
‘Well I’m staying at Woodlands Park, treated myself to a suite but it’s a bit pointless on my own. Will you come and stay with me tonight?’
‘Really?’ You asked, excitement bubbling through you as you knew it was super fancy there and you’d always wanted to go but the fact you got to spend the night with Mason after so long was even more appealing. You pulled back to look at him, laughing as he gave your bum a cheeky pinch and he nodded at you shyly.
‘Of course, I don’t wanna go back there without you’ he whispered and you knew you didn’t want to leave him either. ‘I promise I’ll get you room service in the morning’ he laughed, trying to convince you further but you were already wanting to free yourself from his grip so you could grab your things.
‘Give me five minutes and I’ll be ready’ you laughed, reaching down so you could kiss him again quickly before sorting yourself out but he held you close to him so you couldn’t move. His face serious when you looked at him
‘Thank you, Muffin. I’ve honestly been miserable without you and I’m really glad we get to start again’ he told you truthfully. Your eyes stinging as you nodded back at him softly before he kissed your forehead. ‘We’ll do it the right way this time, yeah? No more secrets or ground rules or whatever else. We’ll just be honest with each other about our feelings and we’ll go from there okay?’
‘Okay’ you whispered, loving the way Mason made it sound so easy when you knew it probably wouldn’t be but you also knew there was no one else you wanted to try this hard with and when he lent forward to capture your lips again, you let him. Content being back in his arms and thankful you’d broken all your rules for him.

Joey B Blurbs: Strawberry Acai
Tumblr media
————————————————————————-
Summary: Joe gets you back after all of those pranks you pulled on him. It doesn't end in his favor though…
Warnings: None, fluff, unserious/funny, pranks
Pairing: Joe Burrow x reader
Imagine universe: Into The Mystic
————————————————————————-
*December 27th, 2023 - 21 weeks pregnant*
You and Joe sat on the couch, unwinding after a long day of Christmas festivities in Athens at his parent's house.
Tyson and Miles slept in the car the entire ride home, so when you two arrived, Joe carried them upstairs and put them in their beds.
Before you guys left Robin and Jimmy’s, you had put the boys’s pajamas on, already expecting them to crash in the car.
Now, Joe loved his family, don't get me wrong, but usually after a get-together with them, he wouldn't want to be around a lot of people for at least a whole day.
In other words, he'd keep his circle limited to you, Tyson, and Miles.
Currently, Joe was cuddled up to you while talking to the baby in your stomach.
Joe was adamant that his baby girl would know her father's voice as soon as she met the outside world.
You loved being a third wheel in their conversations, finding the way Joe’s tone went up an octave while talking in a baby voice to be cute.
But unbeknownst to you, Joe was planning something not-so-innocent.
He had a prank up his sleeve.
Joe was fed up with being on the receiving end of all your little pranks, and now it was his turn to be the prankster.
A few minutes ago, when Joe was “using the bathroom” he was actually on DoorDash ordering your favorite Starbucks drink.
But it was for himself.
That was the prank.
Joe was proud of himself for already having your go-to order memorized because it came in handy today.
Baby girl’s conversation with her daddy was interrupted by a slight knock on the door.
Joe had specified not ringing the doorbell because there were sleeping kids.
You watched him stand up and walk to the door. Joe seemed calm, cool, and collected while you were slightly worried about who or what was knocking on your door at nine o'clock at night.
When Joe opened the door he took a few steps onto the porch and bent over to pick something up.
He walked back into the house, shut the door, and pulled the bag out from behind his back to reveal that it was Starbucks.
“Joey! Did you get me a refresher?” - you grinned
Joe pulled the drink out of the bag and sat back down in his spot next to you on the couch.
Without saying a word Joe moved the cup to his lips and took a slow sip.
You laughed when you saw his face contort slightly, Strawberry Acai refreshers can be sour sometimes.
“Can I have it now?” - you
Joe shook his head no and continued drinking. He tried and failed to not make a face at the sourness.
Now that 1/4 of the venti cup was empty, you realized what he was doing.
With a longing glance, side-eye style, Joe took in your slightly sad expression.
Fuck, he made his pregnant wife sad.
“Wait, shit, I'm sorry. Here, you can have it. I was just trying to prank you, not make you sad.” - Joe
He handed you the drink and you apprehensively took a small sip, trying to mess with him.
“Mama… I’m sorry. I'll order another one if you want. Want a cake pop? Or two?” - Joe
You giggled as you watched him frantically get on his phone to find the DoorDash app.
“Babe, I’m okay. Just this drink is fine.” - you
“Are you sure? I can order another one!” - Joe
“Joe, it's fine, I promise. Was this your way of getting back at me?” - you laughed
“Yes, but I failed miserably. You have too big of an effect on me for me to prank you.” - Joe
His comment made you smile and cuddle back up to him, your head leaning into his shoulder as his hand found its place on your bump.
“I think we should leave the pranking in this marriage up to me...” - you
“Hell, that's for sure.” - Joe scoffed before laughing
You spent the rest of the night cuddled up with Joe as you sipped on your refresher.
——
The next morning, you'd wake up alone because Joe was working out in the home gym.
You immediately went downstairs to start breakfast for your three boys and yourself, and your heart warmed when you saw what was on the counter.
It was a small bouquet of different colored tulips, a venti refresher, and a cookie already out of the package sitting on the paper.
There was also a small note next to it and a grin spread across your face when you read it.
Sorry again for that prank, Mama. I hope the baby is craving a chocolate chip cookie this morning, and I also hope this makes for a good apology.
Love you, Joe.
You let out a content sigh as you reached for the cookie and took a bite, running your hand over your bump as you did so.
“You’ve got one good daddy, princess.” - you
————————————————————————-
Authors note: Definitely not the end of the prank saga. 😏

things to remember in 2023
goodbye emo era, goodbye empath era, goodbye all you eras that have been putting others + emotions at the center of everything. hello self-serving era. self-serving, not selfish. see, more accurate vocabulary can make all the difference.
choose people who choose you. bare minimum is not impressive. it’s only an indicator that hmmm maybe I can explore what something with this person could lead to. it’s the basic eligibility criteria for opening up your time/schedule to someone, not heart. only time.
new people don’t need to know life stories and trauma from before 2018. if you want to talk about it just write about it, write it into your book.
do not listen to your parents. I mean this in the most respectful possible way. you are an adult now, you make your own decisions. because 20 years from now if you are sad and miserable and hating your life and you tell them hey it’s because you made me la la la chances are they are going to turn around and be like nobody forced you, you were an adult, you made your own decisions. so just make your own decisions. and they would be right. like just dodge the emotional manipulation and the drama and the guilt and lack of validation from them for a bit and go ahead and do things you want to in your life. and you already have daddy issues, right? pacify them in bed or something idk. just make your own bloody decisions independent of what your family/others expect of you.
explore more Hindi music.
channelize certain things you’ve seen in most men around you. channelize compartmentalization. channelize binary problem solving. channelize cutting your losses and exiting at the right time from romantic situations that do not have any future no matter how much you feel for them in the present.
do not force yourself to write fiction. maybe you don’t want to create stories. maybe you just want to write down what you already know. maybe you just want to write creative non-fiction. why is that a bad thing? don’t you think it’s time to let go of the ideas you have hyper-romanticized and see things for what they really are and then work with them?
dating apps are not where you will find love. hook-ups, maybe. but drama-free hook-ups? yeah, not quite sure about that either. let’s just go back to how we were before? let’s just focus on our life and believe that love will happen if and when it’s supposed to?
self-dates must make a return. you found that amazing second-hand bookseller next to your home and your favourite cafe from Bangalore is now in Mumbai and so many new art galleries are opening up around and when was the last time you went to Marine Drive and maybe it’s time to sneak into your college to go have your favourite food again from the canteen and maybe after work you can stay around and explore the popular bars and maybe you can find a post office next to your new apartment so you can start sending letters and packages to your best friend again. I know, I know 2022 was a year of such dramatic highs that gave you such adrenaline rush that coming back to things that were more grounded and brought you joy seems difficult but baby please. you cannot run towards psychosis so soon, okay? come back.
on that note, let’s find a yoga class around your apartment and also a gurudwara.
sign up for experiences and invest for the long term but do not invest in material things like furniture. at this point you are the typical mid-20s person who is free to up and leave whenever and wherever and you haven’t found a place you want to call home yet anyway. so keep your money liquid, don’t lock it up in stupid things, but invest for the long-term in equity assets to create wealth. also, go meet your accountant please. and get life insurance.
do not let family stuff get to you emotionally. deal with it in a logistic, functional, and objective way. as much as possible.
you really don’t have to respond to people within 24 hours, 48 hours, or even a week. I mean other than very few selected people (family, best friend, and your partner), nobody is owed your immediate attention. and even these inner circle people are owed your immediate attention only in a way where you keep them in the loop to let them know you are alive and doing okay.
you are a warm person and it’s easy for people to like you wherever you go. but you have such limited time, energy, and brain cells. you cannot scale yourself like a company. which means if you more people want to get to know you, talk to you, etc., you can’t supply them with that because you are not a scalable product. okay? okay.
earning more money will help only in a limited manner if you do not budget and control your spending. it’s not the person who earns more that is rich but the person who saves and invests and doesn’t take debt for consumption purposes. you can no longer be the ironic financial writer like in the confessions of a shopaholic. you are no longer a kid, you are an adult who has to take care of yourself and soon your dependents and so you cannot keep ranting on about capitalism while falling constant prey to it. instead you have to benefit from it.
figure out what is your choice of poison. for when you wanna just vibe, for when you want to get drunk drunk, for when you wanna be bhand. figure it out.
think of studying Korean as doing an undergrad degree. so you know you have to stick with this for the next three years. this way you don’t see it as a short-term fancy but as a longer term commitment and reach level 6 of fluency in the language. this way, by the time you are in your late 20s, you will actually be able to read Korean books in Hangul and not the English translation. that’s your goal, isn’t it? and writing poetry in Korean too.
your high school friend answered the question no doctor was. when you drink alcohol, make sure there is a 3-hour gap between that and your medication. but also keep the drinking in check. I mean honestly, iced coffee and fresh fruit juices for the win.
you go through people like you go through books. but people are not books. time to pick up actual books again and press pause on people.
do not commit anything to anybody because you have no sense of stability or certainty in your life right now. that doesn’t make you flighty. that doesn’t make you irresponsible. in fact, it makes you responsible because you aren’t making promises you aren’t sure you are capable of keeping even if you want to keep them. actions > intentions.
time to have a skincare routine. your sister has written you a whole blog on it - just follow that.
also oh my god. being twenty five/twenty six does not make you old. you don’t have to look at the younger people you interact with and feel uncool or outdated because then that’s how you’ll always feel. like when you were younger, you would look at the older people and think they are so cool, graceful, smart, and badass. divine, even. then that’s what you are becoming now. not knowing what certain emojis and slang means really has no bearing on how relevant you are.
this isn’t an exhaustive list, so come back. don’t just write this and forget all about it. come back, review, revise, add. but most importantly, remember. remember this is for you. so that you minimise pain and failure and shitty feelings and maximise peace and success and joy. and you do like optimum utilisation of resources, don’t you? so do that. apply yourself for yourself. that’s where the returns are the highest.

“Sweetheart,” Carol called out as she opened the door to her shared apartment. It was oddly quiet. She was used to the apartment being filled with music and you dancing around the kitchen to whatever song was playing. Or throwing a toy at your Tabby cat. The quiet made Carol uneasy. She closed the door, toed off her shoes, and placed her keys on the hook. Carol called out your name, but still, there was no answer as she walked towards the bathroom. The door was cracked open and she quietly opened it all the way, smiling at the sight in front of her. You were laying in the bed, the sheet over you, and Oakley asleep on your stomach. The captain saw why you weren’t up to greet her. A heating pad was plugged in and the nightstand was covered with your water bottle, a tea mug, and snacks. You grabbed the trash can from the bathroom and moved it closer. The first day of your cycle was always the worst. No doctor could give you an answer and it took Carol months of watching you suffer to go see Helen.
Carol changed into gray sweatpants and a white tank top. The entire time she felt Oakley’s eyes watching her. When she climbed onto her side of the bed, the tabby moved off of you. The sudden weight shift caused your eyes to flutter open. “Hey baby,” Carol whispered. You turned to face her.
“Your home,” you smiled, voice laced with sleep. You turned to lay on your side but the sudden movement made you wince.
“How are you feeling?” She asked, even though she had a good feeling about what the answer was going to be.
“Bad,” you mumbled. Carol frowned. She hated seeing you in any type of pain.
“What do you need?” She ran her hand underneath the heating pad. “I can run you a bath, make you something to eat, or we can cuddle.” You took a minute to think about it.
“Cuddle then bath,” you turned off the heating pad and tossed it to the ground. Carol became the big spoon, resting her hands on your lower stomach. She concentrated her powers on her hands, warming them up slightly. You let out a sigh of relief and Carol felt the tension in your body melt away.
“Have you eaten today?” Your body went stiff. The Avenger chuckled, resting her head in the crook of your neck. Goosebumps formed on your skin. “It’s okay, baby, we’ll cuddle then I’ll make you something to eat, and after I’ll run you a bath. Sound good?” She felt you nod your head. Soon your breathing evened out and you fell asleep. Carol was quick to follow.
*
When you woke up, the bed was empty and a little too cold for your liking. You groaned, not wanting to get up but you knew you needed to go to the bathroom. Periods were the worst. Before you started dating Carol, your period left you bedridden for the entire week. No doctors would take you seriously or could find out what was wrong with you. Until you saw Helen. The Avenger’s doctor believed every word you said and found a medication to help. Instead of all 6 days being miserable only the first day was. It still wasn’t ideal but it was a star. You rolled over, placing your feet on the ground. The nightstand was cleaned up, your water bottle was refilled and Carol left you pain medication. You smiled, took the two white pills, and walked into the bathroom.
Once you were done, you followed the sound of your girlfriend in the kitchen. She was chopping up some vegetables to put into a soup. The smell of chicken broth made your stomach growl. “Need some help?” The Avenger let out a surprised yelp and spun around. You smirked, crossing your arms. “And here I thought you were this big tough superhero, why was it so easy to sneak up on you?” You teased. Carol rolled her eyes.
“You were supposed to stay in bed and I was going to bring it to you when it was done,” she said, continuing with her task. A warm feeling grew inside your chest as the sweet gesture.
“Awe, I’m sorry, do you want me to go back to bed?” You asked. She shook her head.
“Well since you are up, you can keep me company. Take a seat, beautiful, it’s almost ready.” The warm feeling grew at the compliment as you sat down on one of the bar stools. Dating Carol was an experience, you’ve never felt more seen in any of your past relationships. You had to believe in fate, it was the only thing you could explain how she came into your life. You used to work part-time at a restaurant, the tips helped pay your way through night school. It was a slow night and you weren’t assigned to her table but the table you were waiting on was a group of frat boys from the local college. You could deal with their behavior, the disgusting comments they threw at you didn’t faze you. As you were leaving to put in their order, one of them smacked your ass. The restaurant went silent beside the sound of a chair scratching against the floor. Before you knew it the man who just physically assaulted you was ripped from his chair and pinned against the wall. And there she was, wearing blue jeans and a fitted white muscle tank top. You learned her name was Carol. Carol stayed with you until the cops showed up and waited for you to be done so she could walk you home. You thought that would be the last you saw of her but your next few shifts she was there. At the same spot and ordered the same thing off the menu. You started as friends, a bond from something traumatic but soon your feelings for the Avenger moved to something that wasn’t platonic. She was the first one to make a move and ask you out.
“You’re starring sweetheart,” you were and she caught you but you didn’t mind. You smiled.
“Your just perfect,” Carol chuckled.
“I’m not perfect, doll,” she smiled. “But you are one of the best things that have happened to me so I’ll be as close to perfect as possible.”
*
Dinner was ready, and you and Carol sat on the couch to watch the newest episode of Survivor. You definitely could see her on the show but she said it would be unfair with her powers and being an Avenger. You took a sip from your water bottle. “You could do like an Avenger season to raise money for charity,” you gasped. “And you could meet Jeff Probst,” you let out a dreamy sigh, leaning back into the couch. “There is something about that man.”
“Would you leave me for Jeff Probst?” Carol asked, glancing at you. You giggled.
“No! Never well maybe in a different universe I’m with him already.” She rolled her eyes.
“Just eat your damn food,” she mumbled. You pinched her cheeks and a smile began to form on her face. “Stop it.” She smiled. You pulled your hand back and continued to eat.
Once your bowls were empty you fought with Carol on who would clean up but you won when you suggested she could get the bath started while you put dinner away. It was an easy clean-up since Carol was better at the ‘clean while you cook’ method. The biggest challenge was stepping around Oakley. You picked up the tabby, and she protested it with a soft meow, but you ignored her and walked into your room. Carol was sitting on the edge of the bathtub, watching the water fill up. You set Oakley on the bed and walked over to your girlfriend, you hugged her from behind. She leaned back into you. “How are you feeling?” She asked, looking up at you.
“Better because of you,” you kissed her on her cheek and you liked the blush that rose to her cheeks. She turned off the water. “Are you going to join me?” You asked, closing the door. The last thing you needed was for Oakley to venture in and fall into the water.
“Do you want me to?” Her back was towards you as she added Epsom salt and bubbles. You took your clothes off.
“Always,” you said, smiling.
“It’s re-” Her jaw dropped as she saw you. You smiled, walking over to the tub to get in. She always seemed to make you feel beautiful, not only with her words but with how she looked and touched you. You put your hand on her shoulder to steady yourself to get in. The warm water relaxed your muscles and you let out a small sigh.
“You coming?” You questioned. She made quick work of stripping down and joining behind you in the tub. Her hands found their place on your stomach and gently massaged the area. “I don’t think I tell you how thankful I am for you,” You whispered. “Most people wouldn’t go out of their way to do this for your partner.”
“No need to thank me,” she chuckled against your skin. “The number of times you’ve helped me after a mission it evens itself out.” That was true. In the beginning of your relationship, Carol tried to hide her injuries to not worry you but you got her to show you and even help. You smiled.
“I love you,” you whispered.
“I love you too,” you could hear the smile in her voice. “And thank you for letting me take care of you.”
“Well duh,” you closed your eyes. “I love your warm hugs too much to let you go.”

Paring: Derek Morgan x Latina!reader
Summary: You had a big surprise for him. So when you and Derek go and visit his mother for her birthday, you figured it would be the best way to tell them. To tell his family; however, things don't go as planned when Derek gets arrested. Memories flood the both of you as you figured out how to fight this nightmare together.
Tigger warning: mention of sexual assault and abuse.
A/n: I figured I'd post the second part since I had it done. Look forward to next week, I'll have the third part out. Thank you guys for the support

You tried to do as Hotch and Derek's family said and rest up; however, memories plagued you every time you closed your eyes. Memories that you had pushed so far deep back into your mind, ignoring the horrifying feeling. The way your stomach turned and flipped in as flashbacks flooded your thoughts. You shook your head from such thoughts as you pushed yourself off the bed. You dropped to your knees as you searched through Derek's clothes. Something to wear for the night so it would feel like he was with you. The thought made you chuckle as you remembered the first time Derek noticed you doing this when he went away for work for long periods.
Nesting.
That is how he worded it. You were making a nest with his clothes. Anything that carried his scent to help you feel safe. Hell, sometimes you'd even spray a bit of his cologne to have his scent on you. You took the black shirt he had on the night before and wasted no time slipping it on. As his shirt surrounded you, his scent invaded your nose. It smelt musky, with hints of lavender, warm vanilla, and some sage. As you crawled into bed, you wrapped your arms around yourself. The blankets lay over you, and you took a deep breath. Even with your nerves heightened, you couldn't help but relax as you closed your eyes. You were going to try to go to sleep; the darkness soon took over, and you were drifting to the world of slumber.
"I'm sorry," You looked around; the room looked familiar. And you glanced up, taking in the lady in front of you, and you could feel yourself pale. The fear wrapped around your bones, unable to bring yourself to run. Your body screamed for you to run, but you couldn't. "I didn't mean to." Her eyes burned with anger as she held the cord in her hand. Your blood ran ice cold as you huddled in the corner. "Mami, perdóname! (forgive me)" You begged, rubbing your hands together.
“¿Quieres que te perdone? (You want me to forgive you)" Her voice held so much malice as her grip around the cord tightened. Her knuckles turned white. "Que te perdone? (to forgive you)" Her tone makes it sound like you were asking something stupid. The tears rolled down your cheeks as you whimpered. You forced your eyes closed as she raised her hand, preparing yourself. “Eres una niña estúpida e inútil! (you're a stupid useless girl)" Then you felt it, the way the cord connected with your skin. The burning sensation of the impact made you cry even louder. You knew this would anger her, but you couldn't help it. How were you supposed to hold back when the pain was so unbearable? You tried to tell her. You tried, but she never listened. It wasn't your fault that you wet your bed. You tried to tell her, but she placed all her blame and anger on you.
"I'm sorry." You pushed your back further into the fall, trying to avoid her. Trying to prevent any more pain. You knew that if this kept going, you would have more bruises. More marks. You knew that when your dad came home, there would be yelling. Yelling between your mom and dad. And when they fought, you were taken to the monster's house. Another person you fear. She brought the cord down again, and you yelped in pain.
"Arruinaste nuestras vidas, (you ruined our lives)" Another smack echoed the room with a muffled cry. “Y ahora las estás haciendo miserables. (and now you're making it miserable)" Two more hits followed. Her angered look was embedded in your mind as you tried to cover your face.
A gasp left your lips as you sat up. Sweat rolled down the side of your face as you took in the room around you— short breaths as you clutched your chest. You could hear the blood rushing through your body so loudly in your ears as your heart drummed so harshly in your chest. Every fiber within you shook as you closed your eyes, forcing those horrid nightmares back. You had to bite your lip to stop a cry that wanted to leave your lips. You rubbed your chest to soothe the pain and the heaviness that weighed on your chest.
Since finding out about your pregnancy, you had this haunting feeling that you pushed away, but Derek getting arrested seemed to trigger the event. The nightmares hit you with full force, and nothing was shielding you from them without Derek— nothing to help you overcome them. You weren't going to be able to hide yourself in his arms. Sitting up, you were quick to get out of bed. The need to leave the room was intense as you slightly stumbled out. You sat on the couch and pulled your knees up to your chest. You tried to concentrate on breathing normally. You knew you weren't going to fall asleep. You weren't going to do anything.
~~~~~~~~~
You didn't get much sleep last night. Horrid memories plagued your thoughts. You did your best to push it back and away through your mind, but it was hard. Every time you close your eyes, bits of memories flash behind your closed eyelids. Any slight noise made you jumpy. You felt like you were slowly returning to that little girl who feared everyone. You needed Derek. You wanted Derek. To be held as he made you feel safe.
But he wasn't here.
He, too, was suffering. So you tried to be strong. You trusted that his team would do whatever they needed to to make this right. You had to believe in them. How could you not? Derek trusts them with his life, so it made sense for you to trust them. To have faith that they'll bring the man that gave you strength. A man who loved you as if you were perfect, even though you were far from that. He didn't know your flaws or damages. The fear was eating you as you worried how he would react as he found out. Would he still love you? Want you? Your nails dung into your arms as you shook your head. You needed to do something, so you headed to the kitchen. Wash the dishes. You made some coffee. You kept yourself busy as you cleaned things that didn't need cleaning. Reorganized. Anything to keep your mind busy.
When you ran out of things to do, the sun was up, and you didn't even process the fact that you pulled a hoodie and grabbed Derek's keys before leaving the house. You pulled up to the police station and walked in. "I want to see Derek Morgan." You demanded the first person you saw.
"I'm sorry, ma'am, I can't do that." He didn't even glance up at me. You felt your jaw tick, and you clicked your tongue.
"Why is that?" you didn't move. You began to tap your finger against the side of your thigh as you glared at the man. "Why can I not see my boyfriend!?" He made no attempt to acknowledge you, which irked you. Your lack of sleep left you on a very tightrope with any patience you would have had. "Gosh, damn it, someone gives me some answers." You slammed your hand on the desk, and everyone grew quiet. All eyes were on you.
"You need to calm down." You turned around and glared at the man. It was the same man who cuffed Derek.
"Calm down?!" You raised an eyebrow. "You expect me to calm down when your fucking men don't acknowledge me. Don't even look like they want to help? Ridiculo. (ridiculous)" Your nails dug into your palms as you took a deep breath. "I want to see Derek." You said once again in a calmer tone. "I want to know why you arrested him."
"Gordinski will be here shortly." The detective said as he moved to the side a bit. "You are more than welcome to wait until he arrives." You gave him a short nod and followed behind him. He took you to a room with the walls being windows, as you could see out of it. He allowed you to take a seat. You looked around as you sat down. You felt his eyes on you. "Coffee?" He offered, and you gave him an annoyed look.
"No, thank you." He gave you a slight nod and took the open seat next to you. "Why are you so insistent on helping him?"
"Because I know he is innocent." You interlock your fingers together as you lean closer to the table. "You assholes have nothing on him. No actual evidence to connect him to whatever they think he is; that's why they're detaining him." There was a slight flicker in his eyes, and you gave him a smug look, knowing you were right.
"He murdered a boy, which isn't his first victim." You scoffed, dumbfounded that they believed Derek was capable of murder. The same man who would lay his life for innocent people. Derek risked his life every day, catching the actual scumbags.
"You're dumber than you look." You shook your head. "Where does your so-called evidence connect him to these murders you believe he did?"
"I can't show you them." He tapped his finger on the table. "It's official police business." You let out an unamused scoff as you pushed yourself back in the chair.
"I'm wasting my time talking to you." You clicked your tongue and crossed your arms over your chest. "Imbécil. (fool)" You muttered under your breath. You weren't surprised that he was refusing to show you anything.
~~~~~~~~~
You had been sitting in the room for an hour. Even after Gordinski came, that man didn't wish to entertain you. He barely even spoke to you. He just said that you didn't know Derek at all. He wasn't the man who you thought you knew. And then you went off on him. Calling the man words in Spanish that you knew he didn't even understand. You were cursing him, his stupidity, and how his feelings against Derek blinded him.
It was when he left the room. You could see the anger on his face as he walked out, but you couldn't care less. If they wanted a scene, you would give it to them. They treated you like a clueless woman blinded by a man she was infatuated with.
Your eyes landed on his team, and you exited the room. "Hotch," You breathed out, relieved that they were here. "Thank god." JJ gave you a quick hug as she rubbed your arm.
"What do you know?" Hotch asked as he took in your state. He could see the bags under your eyes and the lack of sleep.
"They think Derek killed a boy." You lowered your voice a bit. "My guess is it concerns the little boy they found last night. They mentioned that he's had a few kills, but they aren't charging him yet." You tapped your fingers against your thigh. "They have nothing against him besides whatever vendetta Gordinski has against Derek. They won't tell me anything else."
"We'll take it from here," He gave you a slight nod. "You should go rest." Your body screamed for you to get some sleep. To get food in you. You just couldn't. The thought of food sickened you, and you knew you'd be flooded with nightmares the moment you slept. Before you could say anything, Gordinski came out and greeted the team. JJ pulled you behind Hotch as she took in the angered look you threw at him.
"Detective Gordinski, CPB" Hotch shook his hand.
"You think an FBI agent, a BAU profiler, committed a homicide?" Hotch asked, finding it hard to believe and understand why they had insisted on Derek being the one.
"Actually, three homicides. At least over 15 years." Your lips formed a thin line as you forced yourself to keep quiet. You had to let them handle it.
"You- you think he's a serial killer?" JJ asked, trying to make sure she understood him.
"This is ridiculous." You nodded, agreeing with Reid.
"Has he been charged with anything?" Hotch asked. Gordinsky puffed his chest as if he could charge him any minute.
"I got 72 hours for that." Unfazed was his reaction, and it angered you even more. You weren't about to have Derek sit there just because they believed they could detain him.
"I'd like to see him." Gordinski nodded, and the other detective– you hadn't bothered getting his name– showed him the way. You turned around and took a deep breath. You wanted to snap at them again. Yell and call them stupid. Push past them and get Derek out, but you knew you couldn't. It would help him if you did so you tried to calm down. You pushed Gordinksi's voice away, trying to ignore him until he said something that made you snap.
"Everything in it points to that son of a bitch, Derek Morgan." You turned around so quickly and pointed a finger at him as you drew close to him.
"What do you just call him?" Your blood boiled. You were proven wrong, just as you thought how they treated Derek couldn't worsen. In their eyes, he was a criminal. One who could murder innocent kids. "Repeat it, I dare you." You weren't thinking logically anymore.
“Y/n.” You heard Gideon's stern voice as he tried to get you to stop. You were tired of it. Tired of seeing how they treated him. "Y/n." Gideon grabbed your arm and turned you to face him. His stern look locked with the anger you displayed in your eyes. "Go get some air." He was telling you to go cool down; you knew that. You knew you needed to before something happened. Before you did something you'd regret. "Now." Clenching your jaw, you walked out of the station. When the cool breeze hit your skin, you dropped into a crouching position. You wanted to scream, but the tears fell on your face instead. Your ears began to ring as you clamped your hands over them. The tears felt like they burned your skin as you tried to stop them.
You were frustrated.
Scared.
Tired.
You tried to calm down as you sniffled. Moving away from the door so you could use the wall as support, you closed your eyes. The image of your angry mother flashed through your mind. Then, it switched to those eyes you feared the most. The ringing in your ears grew louder. You closed your eyes tighter, hoping to erase those memories, but it didn't work. Those eyes stared back at you, and you felt the goosebumps rise on your arms and the urge to throw up. Your nails dug into your scalp as you tried to block the ringing and your mother's angry yelling— her cursing. The sound of the cord meeting your skin with each hit echoed in your head, and it felt like it was bouncing off in your skull.
Then, a hand grabbed your arm, and you flinched. You pulled away quickly, and your eyes shot open, only to see Emily standing before you. A worried look etched into her face as she called out your name. "Are you okay?" You blinked and hid the panic and fear away as you smiled.
"I'm fine. I'm just," You cleared your throat as you forced the lump you felt in your throat down. "Tired. This whole thing has me on edge, and I haven't been able to rest." You lied perfectly through your teeth.
You couldn't seem weak.
Or Broken.
Not now.

━━❝Shall I wake you up with a kiss?❞
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was one of those rare days you spent, waiting in the living room while your boyfriend was occupied with his new inventions.
You know it was his passion for putting on great shows and you love them of course but sometimes... you just feel very lonely.
You slapped both of your cheeks unconsciously, leaving behind two reddish cheeks... just what the heck were you thinking?
"Haa... maybe I'm more tired than I thought..." scratching your head, displeased as you stand up from the sofa before picking up one of the many cushions.
You stared…before turning to the black screen featuring a channel promoting some valentine's day special ads "Hmm...I guess a nap won't hurt, better than being miserable about this whole thing...haa"
Grabbing the remote on the table before turning the TV off and silence came into the room, you immediately went to make your temporary bed on the sofa.
It's just for a short nap while you wait so it won't hurt anyone if you just rearrange some things... right?
Just as you finish setting up your makeshift bed, the loud click of a door opening and the shuffling footsteps get louder as if it's coming towards you...
In a panic, you tried to make it look like you were already asleep while making yourself as comfortable as possible.
Wait...
Why are you pretending to be asleep for...?
Ah... I didn't even realize...uhh this is going to be so awkward..!!
But a moment later...
TAP! TAP!
"Hey, (name)..." He paused at the sight of you sleeping on his living room sofa...well he thought at first "...(name)?"
A moment passed, you could hear his footsteps coming closer and soon enough, you could feel his presence...
"Hmm... interesting" Rui chuckled with a playful grin, amused by your silly attempt to play pretend...
What is so interesting about me sleeping here, Rui?!
"(name), I know you're just faking it~"
"..."
You just keep laying there, stubbornly continue to pretend to be asleep...
"..."
Man...It feels like he is really staring at me...
To make it more convincing, you pretended to snore and stir a little in your sleep "mmm..."
He didn't respond which makes you feel a little nervous because you know how unpredictable he can be once he gets his eyes on something...
Please believe it and leave peacefully...!
But to your disbeliefs, the next thing he says almost made you fall off the sofa... almost
"Ah I see, shall I wake you up with...hmm I don't know..." Rui asked in a teasing tone as bright golden eyes stared at your sleeping face "...maybe a kiss? Do you want that, (name)?"
"..."
"Still being stubborn, I see..."
Your ears picked up his shuffling footsteps and in the next moment, a warm breath hit your cheek and when you realized what he was doing. You suddenly found yourself in a dangerous situation with your heart about to explode at any moment...
Before you could mentally prepare yourself, the next thing you know was his lips brushed against yours softly and delicately...
Like a pair of a butterfly wings, long enough to make you gasp in surprise when he slowly removes himself and stares into your widen (colour) eyes.
Rui smiles proudly when he saw your expression went from gawking at him like a goldfish to a blossoming pink as you stumble over your words from the shock.
"Are you awake now?"

Midnight
Pairing: Wanda Maximoff x reader
Word count: ~4.7k
Summary: Wanda has been gone for work and you miss her
A/N: Hurt/comfort and fluffy fic because I can’t help myselff.
Warnings: Hurt, comfort, some angst
You’d abandoned the popcorn in front of you long ago as you try to pay attention to the movie playing on the television. It’s Saturday night and you’re in your apartment trying to get out of a funk you’ve been in for a while with a horror movie marathon. It’s not working too well because you’re only on the second movie and your mind has already started to wander. Despite how much junk food you’ve eaten tonight and how excited you were to try and wind down after finals week, this night is a little bit of a letdown.
You only have one semester until you graduate and you can move on to vet school. You wanted to celebrate being finished with finals and finally being able to relax for a while. You did well on them and you should be relieved to be finished, and you are, but you’re also lonely. You’d been lonely these past two weeks, but you’d been able to distract yourself studying for the seven exams you’d had to take. Now that you were done, you had time to think about your girlfriend that you hadn’t seen in far too long.
You had been dating Wanda for a few months now, and to say that they were what you expected would be a complete lie. You had learned during the time you spent together that she was smart, thoughtful, and hardworking. You’d also learned fairly quickly that when she’d said that her schedule was unpredictable, she wasn’t kidding.
Sometimes you’d see her every day a week and you’d spend the night catching up and cooking dinner for each other. Other weeks you saw her twice, and sometimes you went days without seeing her, let alone hearing from her.
After Wanda had admitted that she wasn’t a student, she’d only told you the bare minimum about her job. She said she worked with her brother and they owned the family business that they’d inherited from their parents. When asked what the business entailed, she’d told you ‘a lot of things’ or ‘just boring shipping and manufacturing stuff’ and you got the hint that she didn’t want to tell you.
It wasn’t until more recently, right before her most recent disappearance, that Wanda told you that she wasn’t on the right side of the law. You’d suspected this, but having her tell you that it might be a while before you saw her again made it clearer.
You hated when Wanda went dark on you. When she didn’t text for days, it made the insecurities that you could push away when Wanda was with you come back with a vengeance. You’d question whether or not she actually liked you, and if she was just using work as an excuse to be away from you. Maybe she was seeing someone else who was far better than you were, and this thought put you into a slump similar to what you’re in now.
So yeah, you enjoy spending time with Wanda, but when she’s gone for extended periods of time, you’re at your most miserable. You sigh as you continue to pick at the popcorn in front of you as you consider what Wanda could be doing right now. You hope that work is going well, and that she comes back soon because you could really use a pick me up.
You fall asleep on the couch a little while later so you don’t hear your phone go off. It’s not until you wake up and decide to go to bed that you realize you have a few notifications. You ignore them because you’re too tired and you brush your teeth half-heartedly before crawling into bed. It’s almost midnight and you figure you’ll sleep in tomorrow. That’s the least you deserve from finishing all of your finals.
Wanda frowns as she reaches your voicemail again. She knows it’s late, but she really had wanted to see you today. You’d had your last final today and she hates that she missed the entire two weeks that you’d been so busy. She’d wanted to be here, but work called her away yet again and for far longer than she expected. She sighs as she gives up calling and decides to just check on your herself.
She’d driven over before she’d even gone home, so she’d been sitting for a while. She wanted to lie down, but she also wanted to check on you first to make sure you’re okay. Despite the late hour, Wanda can’t help but worry about you not answering the phone. She climbs the stairs to your apartment and takes note of how quiet it is. She tries to be mindful of this as she knocks on your door and waits to see if you’ll answer.
She checks her phone again before knocking one more time slightly louder. She waits for almost two minutes before she tries the door just to make sure. She’s alarmed when she realizes it’s not locked, and she’s quick to investigate. She opens the door and locks it quietly behind her as she pulls her gun and looks around the dark apartment.
She looks to the kitchen first to see that it’s empty, and the living room is equally so. The night light that you keep in the hall illuminated the area just enough for Wanda to see that your bedroom door was shut. She checks in the bathroom and then the spare bedroom before trying to figure out how to check on you.
She knows that if she surprises you, she might get a fist to the face as well as the neighbors calling the cops. The last time she’d scared you while you were sleeping, you’d screamed so loudly that your neighbor’s dog two floors up started barking.
“Y/n?”
You’re sleeping soundly and don’t hear her as she shuts the door behind her. She sees that nothing’s amiss and figures that you must have just fallen asleep and forgotten to lock the door. She plans on chastising you for this later, but for now she’s mostly just glad to see you again after so long. She sighs and puts her gun away before she reaches out for you carefully.
“Y/n, wake up. It’s Wanda.”
You think you’re still dreaming when you hear her voice and you shift so your face is under the covers. You want to stay sleeping so you can keep hearing Wanda’s voice, but something is trying to pull you from unconsciousness. You grumble under your breath as the covers are pulled away from your face and you roll away in annoyance. It takes you a good three seconds before you realize that someone’s in your room with you. You only keep yourself from freaking out by opening your eyes and turning back around to confirm your suspicion.
“Wanda?”
It’s dark, but you see her standing by your bed with a small smile. She’s dressed for work and looks tired, but she doesn’t hesitate to reach out for you.
“Hey, detka. Good to see you.”
You briefly wonder how she’d gotten into your apartment, but figuring this out quickly becomes unimportant when you realize that Wanda’s here. You haven’t seen her in too long and the excitement is enough to wake you up from your deep sleep and you sit up quickly. You smile widely as you reach out for her offered hand to pull her closer. It’s a little bit of an awkward hug given that she’s still standing, but neither of you mind as you hide your face in her stomach with a happy hum.
“Wanda, you’re here! I’m so happy to see you, but how did you...?”
You trail off as you release the redhead for two reasons. You notice as you hug her that she stiffens, and not in the way you expect. You want to ask about this, but first you would like to know if your girlfriend broke into your apartment. She seems to know what you’re asking and she shoots you a look that makes you wonder what you did wrong.
“The door was unlocked, Y/n. You should be more careful.”
You cringe slightly at the reminder that you’d completely forgotten to lock the door tonight. You had been wallowing in your self-pity and gorging on junk food, so you’d forgotten basic security. Luckily it was just Wanda who had come knocking, but you know that she’s right. You need to be more careful. You nod in agreement before you scoot over a little so Wanda can at least sit down.
“Sorry, I fell asleep. Here sit.”
You smile as Wanda sits down beside you, but you’re quickly reminded of your second question when you notice that the redhead is still stiff. You frown as you reach out for her again and she realizes she’s caught as soon as you open your mouth.
“Are you okay? You seem tense.”
You know this could be a loaded question given that Wanda is coming off of what was undoubtedly a stressful two-week work stint. She just nods before she takes off her jacket and sets it aside with a sigh. You wait until she stands up again to take off her shoes, and gun before setting them aside. You think you almost have where she’s injured only seconds before she tells you what happened. You’ve always worried about her when she disappears for a while. You know that if she’s working there’s always the risk of her being in dangerous situations. So far, you’d both been really lucky and she hasn’t gotten too injured, and you just hope that tonight you’ll continue to be.
“It’s nothing serious, detka. I’m just a little sore.”
You don’t have time to ask or even let your mind run wild before Wanda’s unbuttoning her shirt. You wait with increasing anxiety as she finally reveals the angry, dark bruise that runs along her ribs on her left side down to her abdomen. You can’t stop the horrified gasp that leaves you when you see it, and you’re already moving to get out of bed.
“Shit, Wands. That looks awful. What can I do?”
You don’t even wait to hear her answer before you’re on your feet and heading to the bathroom. You have some pain meds from when you’d gotten your wisdom teeth removed that you never used. You’d never gotten around to throwing them out, and once you started dating Wanda, you figured it wouldn’t be a bad idea to hang onto them. You didn’t want to use them, but as you return to your room to find her wincing slightly, you’re glad that you have them for her.
“Here, let me go grab you some water. Then I’ll get you a change of clothes.”
“Y/n, it’s okay. You don’t have--.”
Wanda trails off as you shake your head and disappear through the door despite her protests. She just sighs in defeat as she takes off her uncomfortable shirt with a grimace. Despite this injury being a couple of days old, it still hurts like a bitch. She should have stopped by the compound before coming here, but she was exhausted and just wanted to see you as soon as possible. She hadn’t meant to wake you up and make you fuss over her.
“Here, this should help.”
Wanda thanks you before taking the offered medication with a smile. She doesn’t even bother asking what it is, but she hopes it’s something strong enough to put her to sleep for a while. She sets the glass down on the bedside table next to her gun as you bring her a change of clothes. You help her put the t-shirt on before helping her stand to finish getting changed. You wait until she’s under the covers before speaking up, and it’s not until she shakes her head that you go to lie down next to her.
“Is there anything else I can do?”
Wanda reaches out for you and you hurry to her side as she smiles at you gratefully.
“No, thank you. I feel better already.”
You roll your eyes at this as you get settled in bed with a sigh. You are too worried to simply go to sleep, and you can’t help but want to know what happened during Wanda’s absence. She turns to face you and isn’t surprised to see you shooting her a concerned look. She knows she needs to address it, and she will, but first she wants you closer.
“Come here, detka.”
You don’t resist the urge to cuddle close to your girlfriend, but you make sure not to hold her too tightly against you. You let her pull you close and you sigh tiredly before daring to ask.
“What happened, Wands?”
You lie in silence for a bit as Wanda recalls what had happened a few days ago. She’d been working on dealing with a new competitor that was trying to steal her business. They were unorganized and reckless, and confronting them had been as chaotic as expected. Wanda had killed more people in the past two weeks than she had in a long time. She’d been pressured into confronting them before she was ready because she had to stop an attempt at sabotage, and as a result there’d been a blood bath.
Bucky had been shot in the arm, but mostly everyone made it out with just some cuts and bruises. She’d only been injured because she’d gone off on her own to chase the self-proclaimed mobster. If getting hit with a bat wasn’t painful enough, her brother berating her for being reckless definitely made her regret her actions. Whenever he gets on her about something, she knows she’s really screwed up.
She conveniently leaves this part out because she knows you’ll probably get upset at her too. She doesn’t want to fight. She’s just glad that she’s here with you and that she didn’t get too hurt in the process of eliminating an annoying threat.
“Someone snuck up on me, but we took care of them.”
You don’t have to ask what this means, and you frown at the idea of someone hurting the woman next to you. You know that she deals with criminals, professional or otherwise, and they’d likely just shoot you before you could even touch them, but you still fantasize about punching them in the face. You know it’s a little more complicated than you’re imagining, but you try not to worry too much about what Wanda gets up to. You look up to see she’s watching you carefully for your reaction and you just sigh before shooting her a suspicious look.
“Did you see a doctor for this?”
Wanda is at least grateful that she can confirm that she did this. She’d honestly thought that she’d broken a couple of ribs, but luckily they were only severely bruised. She says this and claims that she got scanned and only left with pain meds and orders to rest. You nod at this and smile slightly as you dare to hope that she can stick around for a while. You’d never want her to be hurt, but you won’t complain about getting to have her around for a while as she recovers.
“How long are you around for? I’d hope you’re taking some time to get better.”
Wanda had thought about this for a while before coming to see you. She was told that she should take a couple of weeks, but she knew that this wasn’t going to happen. She was still busy and had some things she needed to do as soon as tomorrow. That said, when she’d left her brother earlier, she’d promised to remain scarce for at least tomorrow. Now that she’s told you what happened, she’d be surprised if you didn’t demand she sit out for longer.
“I’m supposed to take it easy for the week, but I still have work to do.”
You frown at this predictable answer and you’re already trying to figure out how you’ll convince Wanda to hang out for a couple of days. You’d already given her some oxy, so hopefully she’ll at least sleep through the morning, but you didn’t want to keep drugging her to keep her here. You’d prefer if she wanted to hang around opposed to being forced to do so.
“Well work can wait for at least a day. You’ll hang out here tomorrow.”
Wanda just smiles at you before she kisses the top of your head with a nod. She’ll take at least the day to relax with you and recover. Hopefully you didn’t have any plans that she was interrupting. She can already feel herself getting sleepy. She might end up sleeping through most of tomorrow.
“Yes, ma’am.”
You roll your eyes but say nothing as you lie down beside Wanda with a yawn. You are getting sleepy again, and now that Wanda’s taken care of you are able to relax. You close your eyes and breathe in deeply before turning your face into Wanda’s neck with a smile. You’re about to fall asleep to the soothing smell of her shampoo when she speaks up again. You open your eyes in confusion until her words register and you laugh quietly.
“How did your finals go?”
You hum in contemplation before kissing Wanda’s cheek with a smile.
“They were fine, babe. Go to sleep. We can talk tomorrow.”
Tomorrow comes sooner than either of you are ready for it. Wanda is still asleep at 10, but you need to get out of bed and make some breakfast. You’re careful not to wake her up as you sneak out of bed and retreat to the kitchen. You make sure that the front door is locked, even though you’re sure Wanda locked it, before you start on breakfast. You clean up a little from last night as your food is cooking, and once it’s done you set a plate aside for Wanda for whenever she wakes up.
You eat on your couch as you consider what you’re going to do today. Originally, you’d planned on going grocery shopping before relaxing for most of the day. Now that Wanda was here, you didn’t really want to leave, so you decided to just skip the store and go straight to relaxing.
A little later you’re in bed with your computer on your lap and your headphones in watching a movie. Wanda’s still asleep beside you, and you try not to disturb her as you watch your second favorite horror movie. You don’t notice her stir immediately because the best part of the movie has started, but once she groans and rolls onto her back, you pause it and take out your headphones.
“Hey there, sleepyhead. How are you feeling?”
Wanda doesn’t answer immediately as she blinks the sleep out of her eyes. She’s exhausted and she feels a little drunk from her extended sleep. She feels the familiar ache in her side and she sighs heavily before scooting toward you with a yawn.
“Tired. What time is it?”
When you tell her it’s nearly 1, her eyes fly open and you think she’d going to jump out of bed. You reach out to stop her as you try to reassure her that she hasn’t missed anything important. You run your hand through her hair as you list off what you’d already checked on.
“It’s okay, Wands. No one’s called you, or me, or shown up demanding your presence. Today’s about relaxing, okay? For both of us.”
You smile as Wanda frowns slightly as she thinks about this. She’s still tired, and she’s sure you’re tired from all of your finals, and given that it’s Sunday she really doesn’t have anything pressing to do. As realization sets in, Wanda lies back down and sighs in defeat before she shoots your computer a curious look. She nearly rolls her eyes when she sees what movie you’re watching. Again.
“I will need to get out of bed for food at some point.”
Wanda watches as you close your computer quickly before tossing it aside with a smile. You shake your head as you move to get out of bed, but you don’t quite make it before Wanda grabs your arm to keep you from leaving.
“I made you some breakfast, but I can also make lunch instead if you’d rather have that.”
Wanda shakes her head before tugging on you lightly with a pout that makes you cave far too easily. You fall back into bed and Wanda moves closer to you with a smile.
“Thank you, but later. I want to cuddle now.”
You can’t help but laugh at this, but you don’t refuse as you get back under the covers and pull Wanda closer. You wonder if the people in Wanda’s life knew how snuggly she was. You decide not to bring it up as you lie down with a groan. You could honestly spend all day in bed. Your brain was mush and your body ached, and you finally had Wanda back. You couldn’t think of anywhere else that you’d rather be.
You don’t realize that you both fell asleep until you are woken up by the sound of knocking reverberating through the room. You groan in annoyance before you realize that Wanda is still asleep. You mutter a curse under your breath as you get out of bed and go to investigate. You close the door behind you before heading toward the sound of increasingly loud knocking. You glance at the clock in the kitchen and realize it’s almost 6. Time for dinner.
“Hi, can I help you?”
You’re unprepared for the person on the other side of the door when you open it. He’s tall, blonde and built like a solider, and you have no idea who he is. If he wasn’t smiling at you, you’d be thoroughly freaked out. That said, you’re on your way there when he speaks up.
“Hi, my name’s Steve. I’m looking for Wanda, is she here?”
You have several questions that you’d like answered before you answer his. How did he know that Wanda was here? Who was he? And why the hell hadn’t you grabbed your phone? You frown feigning confusion before you shake your head in response. You’re not sure if Wanda has ever mentioned a Steve, but that doesn’t matter at the moment. You don’t care who he is because unless someone is dying, Wanda isn’t going back to work today.
“Sorry, you’ve got the wrong place, Steve.”
Instead of appearing apologetic or defeated like you were hoping, he just continues to smile as he looks over your shoulder into your apartment. He knows that Wanda’s here. He followed her here to make sure she got here safely, and now there was a problem that Pietro needed help with. He didn’t want to bother Wanda who he figured was sleeping considering she wasn’t nearby, but he did need her. He sighs quietly before opening his mouth to ask again, but you beat him to it.
“Who did you say you were again? Are you a friend?”
He takes a minute to consider how he should answer this. He’s not sure how much Wanda’s told you. He only recently found out about your existence, but the fact that Wanda was here now is very telling. She must trust you, and like you a lot, but still, she’s probably only told you the bare minimum because she’s always been paranoid.
“Yes. We’re friends and we work together. Steve Rogers.”
The last name doesn’t mean much to you, but he holds out his hand to you, a smile still on his face. He seems genuine, but if being with Wanda has taught you anything, it is to be cautious, borderline paranoid really. Still, you don’t think this man means you any harm. Other than trying to take your girlfriend after you just got her back.
“Nice to meet you, Steve. I’m Y/n, but I’m guessing you already knew that?”
You shake his hand, dropping it quickly as he smiles guiltily at your question. You’re not going to think too much about that and you sigh in defeat before trying to figure out your next move.
“I did.”
“Great, well Wanda’s resting, and she’s going to keep resting at least until tomorrow, so…come back then please.”
Steve opens his mouth to argue, but you shut the door in his face. You know you’re being rude, but you’re not letting Steve stress Wanda out after she slept nearly 12 hours. She clearly needed the rest and you don’t want her running off anywhere only to hurt herself more. You head back to your bedroom and are relieved to see that Wanda is still asleep. You sigh before getting back into bed and trying to relax again.
This lasts for 30 seconds before you hear a phone start vibrating. It’s not yours and you look around only to find Wanda’s phone on a chair in the corner with her folded clothes. You grab it and see that it’s Steve and you sigh in defeat. You answer it and can’t help but smile as you walk back out into the living room.
“Hello?”
“I really need to talk to Wanda, Y/n. “
You sigh loudly before you hang up the phone and walk back to your front door. Unsurprisingly, Steve is still standing there with his phone in his hand and a slightly annoyed look. You shoot him one back before you try to strike a deal.
“What’s so important that it can’t wait until tomorrow? Is someone hurt?”
Steve thinks about this for a second before he shakes his head. He’s not going to tell you the details because you won’t understand since he doubts Wanda told you about what happened to her, but he can tell you’re just as stubborn as he feared when you just frown.
“No, no one is hurt. We just need to talk about next steps.”
“You mean after she killed a bunch of people?”
Steve’s not expecting you to say this and he hesitates before shaking his head. He realizes he’s lying to you though, but you don’t give him time to take it back. You tilt your head slightly before asking the last question you plan to. Unless the answer is yes, you’re not letting Steve leave here with Wanda.
“Is Wanda in danger?”
Steve considers lying, but he’s really no good at it and he can tell you’re probably too smart to fall for it. So he just sighs before shrugging slightly and telling the truth that does nothing to convince you.
“Not any more so than usual.”
You smile at this despite hating the truth of the words and you prepare to close the door again.
“Okay, well not to be rude Steve because it’s nice to meet you, but please leave. Wanda will call you tomorrow.”
Steve just sighs in defeat before he decides to call it quits for now. Pietro can figure this out until at least then, and he can tell short of forcing his way in, he’s not going to get to talk to Wanda. He just offers you a wave before leaving.
“Alright fine. Nice to meet you too, kid.”
You frown at the name, but don’t bother arguing as you shut and lock the door behind him. You sigh in relief before you walk back to your bedroom. That was far more stressful than you anticipated it would be, and you felt wiped out. You notice that Wanda’s shifted since you left, but she was still asleep which you were grateful for. You were not looking forward to try and explain what happened just yet. She needs to sleep, and unless something drastic happens and Wanda is truly needed for an emergency, you plan to keep her here with you for at least the rest of the day. You were promised today, and you’d be damned if it was taken from you.
You kiss Wanda’s forehead and smile widely when she grumbles in her sleep.
“Night, Wands.”

I feel like you have made such a safe space and I really need to tell you my IRL Erik moment after reading about my girl with fairytale ending with her bestie <3
Um.. I thought I gave pretty good head y'all. Truly I did. But then last week I came face to face with a man who humbled the fuck out of me and my knees are still so weak still from his presence. 🫠
Ok so boom! I was on my period and we had been flirting for awhile so although we agreed to hang out my master plan was originally to come in the door looking good, charm him with my wit, and give him some bomb sloppy toppy to blow his mind and make him really be feenin for wanting to fuck me later on.... I know, I know. I was trying to be on my femme fatale Charlie's Angel shit and failed miserably 🙄
Hunny did I ever get humbled so quickly. I'll keep it short but BABY let me tell you the shock in my soul when I saw it...he has the longest dick I've ever seen in person. Like I seriously had my two hands cranking at the base and still had a mouth full of dick at the top. It was insane.
I walked in with confidence and walked out as happy and broken woman lmfao. We were kissing and touching and I told him I wanted to take care of him. He asked how and when he realized what I wanted to do he was like "ok ma but if u want that ur gonna have to pull him out" so me being me went straight to pull that shit out. No going back.
I was feeling myself at first. In my head like go meeeee mini superhead!! I got this boo.
I think he was amused by my attempts to swallow him y'all I could tell he was enjoying it but my deep throat was leaving some dick unsucked and he wanted more from me
Next thing I know this man is standing on the bed. One hand on the ceiling and the other is gently on the back of my head guiding me so he can fuck my mouth. TRAINING MY THROAT. 😭 He was sticking it down my throat until I gasped for air and he pulled out and then he did it over and over again.... 😫 It worked too cuz when he laid me back on the bed and told me to try again baby I was down on that thang further than I knew I could handle. I knew at that moment I fucked up and this man was not there to play with me and also that I must be a real freak cuz I loved every minute of that shit. I felt myself getting creamy from getting him off. Lord.
He really claimed my mouth and I'm not even mad about it. Then he has the nerve to be able to stop himself from cumming WELL so I was getting my throat fucked for like 40 mins 🥴 so yeah mission failed but he did nut and I sucked that shit down like it was the sweetest prize I've ever won! I worked hard for that!!! It felt so powerful to see him submit to me for even a second. This powerful man gave me some of his power in that moment and it tasted so sweet too lol
THE ICING ON THE CAKE? When we were done he takes a towel and gets some warm water on it and starts cleaning my face GENTLY.... INTIMATELY.... Staring me in my eyes while he slowly wiped my mouth, eyebrows, bridge of nose 😭😭😭😭
So yeah I'm in lust now. This is how stalkers are created I just know it....smfh
We are on opposite schedules so idk when I'll see him again. He tried to hit me up yesterday but I couldn't get to him and I was kicking myself. I'm off myself and ready to get dicked down 😭 I feel like such a stalker though cuz this man has me in an actual chokehold just from that.
Sorry I didn't edit this!! Thank you for letting me get this off my chest. I feel better now 🥹
Y'all please pray I get some help soon lmao
😩😩🥵🥵😭😭🤯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
“Okay ma but if you want that you’re gonna have to pull him out.”
Bruh!!!!!!! And the after care while staring you in the eyes on some “that’s my good girl.” Shit?!!!!!’
This was too damn good!!!!!
Thanks for sharing!

Long road ahead - pt 5
I might make this the second to last chapter actually because this ended very softly but without a firm direction. I like that tender things like this don't have to be definitive. Anyway, here is part 5 and the payoff for all the previous chapters. This part is not without its heartaches, so apologies, but if you like confessions I hope you'll like this. Also, surprise! A wild Dustin appears
TW: Miscommunication, swearing, and some self-hatred.
4,300+ words, Steve’s POV. 1 week and a half or so after their fight.
Pt1  Pt1.2  Pt2   Pt3 Pt4
--
He had fucked up. He had fucked up so badly.
Steve had been beside himself with sorrow and frustration for days as he went over and over the events of last week. He had been so unbelievably stupid and let his drunk brain take control. He hadn’t been able to help it–but that was just an excuse. It was all just excuses actually. But the way Eddie had been positively shining that night had made Steve feel irrational. It had made him irrational. It was so easy to get swept up into a party with someone like Eddie there who laughed freely and touched everyone he was familiar with. He had partially hung off of Steve’s shoulders and every time he came close enough to ‘rib’ Steve in one way or another–boast about him and charm the crowd–Steve had felt a bit more of his conviction waver.
It had been weeks, weeks, since Steve and Eddie had hung out and it had started Steve off on the back foot. Time apart sounded like a good idea, but the fleeting moments he had shared with Eddie in a group setting over the last month had only made him pine harder. It broke him up inside and it hurt every time Eddie turned him down when he asked to hang out. It hurt so fucking much, but each time he convinced himself it was the better, so of course he hadn’t been able to say no when Eddie asked him if he wanted to come to an end-of-the-summer rager.
God, he had been so weak and Eddie had been so fucking brilliant all night. It was like he had been apart for years and finally, Steve’s heart couldn't be contained anymore. He had let himself be reckless and he had gone and fucked up the whole night.
Steve was miserable at home by himself for days as he self-soothed the hurt away. Not only had he gone and ruined their friendship he had made Eddie straight up hate him. He had never taken rejection this badly before, but it couldn’t be helped with how long he had let this crush go. No amount of stamping his interests out had worked and then he had set fire to their foundation in one night. Less than one night… and now Eddie absolutely hated him.
He had been sworn at and crushed out, called terrible and cruel and Steve couldn’t deny that it was true. What had he been hoping would happen? Had he gone into it thinking they would kiss and then he could walk away from it all? He hadn’t been thinking at all, but something Eddie had said made him pause and it was dwelling heavily on his mind now.
Do you know how fucking badly I wanted you to kiss me all fucking summer?
He had said that--he had yelled it in his face--and after the initial shock, Steve had turned that phrasing over in his mind again and again.
It was to no avail though; what was he supposed to do with that piece of knowledge? How was he supposed to handle that and do anything with it? Was he supposed to feel regret for not acting soon or regret for acting at all? Just because Eddie had said it didn’t mean he wanted it–and it especially didn’t mean he wanted it now after all of that. He had been right to be mad, and he had been right to accuse Steve of leading him on.
Steve still didn’t think he could face genuinely pursuing Eddie, because what was worse than it not working out was the idea of Eddie accepting and risking his heart further. If he accepted that would mean… Steve couldn’t deny the fact that he was a freak too.
The doorbell rang and Steve had to muster all of his energy to pull himself up from bed. The doorbell had actually rung four more times as he slumped out of his room and down the stairs, trying to hush it with a ’yeah, yeah, I hear you’ to no avail.
Steve pulled the door open and Dustin stood there with his finger on the buzzer, making deliberate eye contact as he pressed the button twice more, giving Steve an incredulous look.
“Stop it–” Steve scolded, reaching out to swat Dustin’s hand away. He pulled back before Steve could make contact, frustration evident.
“Just making sure it works–what took you so long, huh?”
He was being a brat, acting like he owned the place like he always did and Steve didn’t have the energy to do anything else other than roll his eyes and sigh.
“What is with you, man?” Dustin asked, pushing past Steve and into his house.
“Henderson–” Steve half tried, his hand slapping lamely against his own leg as he turned to look at Dustin, “at least your shoes”
“Yeah, yeah,” Dustin complained, wiping his feet on the mat and then toeing his shoes off, barely stopping his stride toward the living room.
“No one else home?” Dustin asked, surveying the two closest rooms to them–the kitchen and the living room–before turning to look at Steve who was still standing with the door open.
“No,” Steve answered, exasperated as he shut the door a bit dramatically, pinching his lips and looking back at Dustin.
“Good, so what the hell happened?” Dustin asked, crossing his arms and behaving as if he was the older one here.
“What are you talking about?” Steve asked, picking up Dustin’s shoes and putting them properly by the front door before walking past him and into the kitchen.
“You know what I mean!” Dustin declared, following and then leaning with his chest against the kitchen island as Steve opened the fridge to get something to drink. He kept soda and juice in the fridge for if and when one of the kids dropped by–even though most of the refreshments were regularly used up by Robin when she visited.
“No, I don’t,” Steve answered, frustrated, as he poured the soda into two glasses and put one of them within arm’s reach of Dustin. He didn’t go for it right away and instead gave Steve an unimpressed look, one that could have put Robin to shame.
“Yeah, well, why is Eddie saying you guys aren’t talking?” Dustin asked, finger quoting before settling back down with his chest on the counter.
Steve visibly cringed as Dustin spoke, the glass halfway to his lips before he was forced to break eye contact with Dustin and look away. He didn’t want to talk about this. He didn’t want to hear what Eddie had been saying.
“What the hell happened? Cause from the way Eddie tells it something happened, it’s your fault, and now you guys aren’t talking. That’s bullshit, man. Just apologize!”
Steve grimaced and turned his back to Dustin, not sure if he was going to yell or cry. He wasn’t looking to sort this out and he sure as hell didn’t want to explain all of this to Dustin.
“Come on, man!” Dustin grumbled, finally standing up in order to walk a dramatic circle over towards Steve.
“If I mess up, I apologize. It happens! Ask Lucas and Mike!” He exclaimed, pointing towards the front door as if his friends were in that direction.
Steve wasn’t interested in hearing this, he didn’t want to be scolded and treated like a kid when Dustin was four years younger than him.
“It’s more complicated than that,” Steve tried, attempting to drink his soda again as he took a tentative sip, still avoiding eye contact.
“Bullshit!” Dustin hollered, his hands shooting up into the air and then letting them fall again with a loud slap against his thighs.
“Come on, man. We’re helping him pack the van today.”
Steve’s stomach flopped hearing that and he hunched forward a bit as if closing in on himself would help the uneasy feeling growing in his belly. He already felt terrible and he didn’t want to be put on a time limit to sort out his own feelings. It was so much more complicated than that.
“Come on, man…” Dustin said again, his tone much quieter and edging into desperation. The sound of his voice tore at Steve’s heart a bit, the obvious hurt and confusion that was there because he just couldn’t understand why Eddie and Steve had fought.
Do you know how fucking badly I wanted you to kiss me all fucking summer?
“He’s not going to forgive me,” Steve said finally, placing his glass down on the counter.
“Yeah, he will,” Dustin insisted, that edge of annoyance back in his tone.
“No. He won't,” Steve sneered back, holding his tongue.
His tone seemed to surprise Dustin a bit because he went quiet for a moment which allowed the eerie silence of the Harrington home to make Steve uneasy.
“Well, say it anyways,” Dustin finally said, the words simple and somehow piercing through Steve’s heart.
Say it anyways?
“Just say it anyways and mean it… and then there’s nothing else you can do.”
Steve felt his throat getting tight at the sentiment behind those words. They weren’t wise because Dustin didn’t know what he was talking about, but they weren’t untrue either. Just say it anyways. Just say it anyways.
And then there’s nothing else you can do.
Steve pinched his nose and sniffed, covering up any emotions that could have slipped through. He had been leaning with his palms on the counter and he straightened up now, looking across the kitchen at nothing in particular.
“Yeah… alright,” Steve swallowed, feeling a bit foolish for having to have Dustin give him a pep talk. Maybe he was a bit wiser than Steve gave him credit for.
“Alright?” Dustin asked as if he needed to confirm that he had heard Steve correctly.
“Yeah, I said alright,” Steve repeated, putting on an annoyed attitude to cover up the fear and relief that mingled in his gut.
“Alright then,” Dustin replied, almost shocked that what he had said worked, “we going?”
Steve was hesitantly walking towards the garage door, a bowl of keys sitting at the far end of the kitchen counter.
“Yeah, we’re going,” Steve grouched, looking back over his shoulder as he picked up his car keys and rolled them between his fingers.
“Dump that, won’t you?” He asked, gesturing towards the cups of soda that had been left on the counter.
“Dump it? Dustin repeated back, offended.
“Yeah, dump it,” Steve mocked, holding the door to the garage open.
“No way!”
As if to prove him wrong Dustin hurried back over to the glass and made hard eye contact as he tipped the drink back and started to chug. Steve rolled his eyes with annoyance, obviously becoming irritated as he waved his hand in a ‘hurry up’ motion. Why was Dustin always such a brat?
Dustin finished the glass and put it down a bit too hard before belching loudly and putting his hand to his chest.
“Oh, uh, I think I drank that too–fast,” he burped, making a bit of a sour face as he walked towards Steve anyway.
“You think?” Steve replied exasperated, pushing Dustin through the door and into the garage.
—- –
Focusing on the road had been hard as they drove the short distance from Steve’s place to the Trailer Park. Dustin hadn’t stopped talking and Steve wasn’t sure if that was to cover up the awkward silence or because he genuinely wanted to try and liven the mood. Either way, he appreciated it in part, even though he couldn’t focus on all of that right now.
No, he needed to pay attention to the road and not get so far into his own head that he turned around and went home. He just had to resign himself to being chewed out and left for dead. Dramatic, but that was how it felt. At the very least that would mean he could properly bury this crush and maybe he’d be able to cruise through life not thinking about another man ever again. It was wishful thinking and it had taken him a long time to even admit that was what was happening to him–he still thought of it as this foreign thing instead of a part of himself. That was only half true though, because the worst thing that could happen was that Eddie forgave him. Maybe it wouldn’t happen right away, maybe it would be three years down the line or even twenty, but Steve wasn’t sure how he’d feel if Eddie forgave him.
But that was all he could do. He didn’t need to theorize and implement a fail-safe for something that was out of his control.
Just apologize and mean it.
Steve slowed the car as they drove down the gravel road and into the Trailer Park. Most of the homes here were new but still unimpressive. Many of the trailers had been replaced by the government program that came to do the ‘clean up’ and the real site of the ‘incident’ was roped off farther to the south. You could still see some of the rusting, metal homes through the treeline if you went looking for it. Steve didn’t go looking for it and he didn’t know of anyone in the party that would.
Steve had trouble pulling up because there were people all over the place. Gareth and Lucas, Mike, Nancy–everyone was here and totting boxes or struggling to move a heavy, wooden dresser. Fleetingly, Steve had seen Eddie standing by Wayne’s trailer talking with Benson before he had excused himself. No doubt he had seen Steve’s car, it was unmistakable; no one else with a BMW would drive down this way.
Dustin hopped out as Steve pulled to a stop. He took a moment to breathe as he turned the ignition off, the din of voices outside making his nerves flare until he finally mustered the courage to get out of his car.
No one drew much attention to him and Steve said some quick hellos before helping load a few things into Eddie’s van. He didn’t come back outside and Steve stood awkwardly with his hands on his hips, looking at the trailer. Someone elbowed him and Steve glanced down to see Dustin giving him another one of his frustrated looks.
Steve rolled his eyes and with the motion noticed that a few other people were watching him subtly. They probably all knew to some degree that Steve and Eddie had fought and that made him uneasy, but from the looks of it Eddie wasn’t going to come back outside unless he was forced. They were getting close to finishing the packing too, so it really only left one option.
Steve cocked his hip a bit and hung his head, breathing through the anxiety quietly before counting down in his mind and just walking into the trailer. No one stopped him, and the door had been left open for moving purposes. Everyone probably knew what this was about, or at least they knew Dustin had gone to get him for this exact reason.
Steve swallowed thickly as he stepped into the trailer and looked down the dark little hallway to Eddie’s room. The door was ajar, but he couldn’t see in and he was uncertain if Eddie was in there or not. Probably. If he had to place his bets.
Steve knocked quietly on the door, pushing it open just enough to see inside and spot Eddie sitting on the end of his bed. The room was mostly empty except for his unmade box spring and a few larger pieces of furniture. It felt weird to see it like this since the room had almost always been bursting at the seams with junk that Eddie had squirreled away.
“Yeah?” Eddie asked to the knock, only glancing up before looking away again.
Steve’s stomach flopped and his grip on the doorframe tightened slightly. Eddie wasn’t a ball of rage any longer, but he still looked distressed and he was pointedly not looking at him.
Steve swallowed and stepped the rest of the way into the room, half closing the door again before taking a seat on the end of the bed with Eddie. He didn’t want to give him any reason to refuse him, but it felt rude to sit down without asking. Eddie didn’t move away though–actually, he didn’t move at all.
Steve glanced at Eddie, unable to see his expression as his hair fell in his face, but his shoulders were hunched forward and his hands were limp on his own thighs. He looked listless.
“Hey…” Steve started, his tone gentle but not pandering. This felt so awkward, he didn’t know what he wanted to say.
“Can we talk?” He asked as he clasped his hands between his knees and looked ahead. He hadn’t wanted to ask that, but he didn’t know how else to start the conversation.
Eddie just shrugged in an indifferent manner, uncharacteristically quiet.
“So...” Steve breathed, tapping his thumbs together softly, “I’ve been thinking about what you said and… I’m sorry.”
Eddie tensed and Steve noticed right away. His shoulders rose up to his ears and his once limp hands were now fisted on top of his thighs. He still wasn’t looking at Steve so he couldn’t read his expression, but from his body language alone he didn’t seem happy.
“That it?” Eddie asked as the silence drew out between them. It hurt to be spoken to that way and Steve felt his airway tightening a bit.
“Y-yeah,” Steve answered, having to clear his throat halfway through because of how strained his voice sounded. He didn’t get up though and Eddie still wasn’t looking at him as he let the silence draw out between them.
“If you need any more help… moving stuff, don’t hesitate to ask,” Steve offered weakly, pressing his tongue hard against the roof of his mouth. Eddie didn’t move and Steve swallowed again, trying to remind himself he just needed to apologize and mean it… that was it. What else could he say?
With a heavy breath, Steve finally stood up, his head almost feeling light as the tension settled over him. That was it then, that was all he could do. Eddie would just hate him for the rest of their lives.
Steve stepped towards the door, intent on leaving Eddie to his peace and just wallowing in his own emotions for the next few days. He had lived through heartbreak before, he could live through it again.
“You’re unbelievable.”
Steve stopped as he stood at the door, his palm already pressed against the cool metal of the handle. He glanced back at Eddie who still had his head turned, but he watched as his shoulder shook a bit and quiet, bitter laughter filled the room.
“You came all the way here to say that?” Eddie asked, his voice accusatory but not as punchy as it usually was.
Steve pressed his lips into a thin line, not wanting to linger if he was just going to get yelled at.
“Yeah…” Steve replied, sounding sorry as he tried to steady himself, “I’m really sorry that I hurt you.”
Eddie barked a laugh and it startled Steve a bit, his throat closing up.
“You’re sorry that you hurt me?” He repeated back, acting as if Steve had just said the most unbelievable thing in the world.
The words made Steve’s heartache though, the sentiment behind the language so drenched in distrust and pain. All he could really think about was the insecurity that he had heard in every single one of Eddie’s words when he had tried to hide his scars or ask for a ride. How secretly fragile he was and how desperately he tried to hide that part of himself until he trusted you. How Steve had broken that trust completely.
“Yeah, Eddie,” Steve replied genuinely, his voice soft as he tried to speak to that heartache instead of his own feelings.
“I didn’t–I shouldn’t have done that to you,” Steve replied, his own insecurities threatening to come through as he felt his fingers twitch against the door handle.
“Why?” Eddie asked, sounding like a child all of a sudden as he curled up into himself. He pulled his legs up, wedging his heels under himself so he was sitting in a squat on the end of the bed.
“Regret it?” He asked, laughing a little bit as if the bitter remark had instead been an attempt at levity.
Steve felt himself frown and he let go of the door finally, trying to push past the stress that threatened to steal his voice.
Just say it and mean it, and then there is nothing else you can do.
“Of course I do,” Steve replied, watching as Eddie slowly started to shake his head, obviously starting to get frustrated again.
“That was a terrible way to tell you… that I like you.”
Eddie stopped moving at Steve’s words, his shoulders slowly hunching in more as he hugged his legs to his chest. He went quiet again and Steve resigned himself to admitting that this was probably as good as it was going to get. He regretted a lot of things, but nothing more than this–
“Since when?” Eddie asked quietly, his voice almost lost to the room.
It was Steve’s turn to freeze and go silent, as he stared at Eddie. He gaped at him, unsure of what to say to that before Eddie repeated himself.
“Since when?” He asked again, his voice a bit firmer this time, but he was still closed off to Steve.
“Since when…” Steve said back to him, understanding what he was being asked but unsure of how to reply.
“Since–” Steve tried, his chest flooding with butterflies as he tried to grasp at his thoughts, “since–I don’t know–since—since you came back.”
That wasn’t much of an answer but it was as close to the truth as Steve could get. He had been pining since March, but he hadn’t admitted it to himself for months. He hadn’t even wanted to admit it to himself today.
“All summer?” Eddie asked quietly after another pause.
Steve pinched his lips together again, fighting back the torrent of emotions threatening to swallow him whole.
“All…” Steve sighed, putting his hands on his hips, “all summer.”
Eddie finally moved as he tightened his grip on his legs and turned his head so he could press his face into his knees. Steve still couldn’t see his expression past his curtain of hair, but it was obvious that he was crying.
“You’re such an—asshole,” Eddie blubbered and the sound went straight through Steve’s heart.
“I know…” he swallowed, thinking back to how many times that had been said to him over the years, “I’m sorry.”
Eddie shook his head and sniffled, not looking up as he sat there curled in on himself. Steve didn’t know what to do, so he lingered for a moment before eventually sitting back down on the edge of the bed beside Eddie.
“Not like that,” Eddie muttered, shaking his head again and vaguely peering up from under his bangs.
“Sorry?” Steve asked, confused about what was being said to him. Did Eddie want him to leave after all?
“Not like that,” Eddie repeated, lifting his face marginally so his nose was pressed between his knees. “You’re a good guy… I’m sorry… I said that.”
Steve felt his heart lurch at those words, his breath shuttering a bit at Eddie’s correction. It wasn’t forgiveness, but it felt something like that. Mercy maybe. Mercy not only for what he had done at the party but somehow it felt like mercy for the past 10 years of his life.
“I’m moving,” Eddie mumbled quietly, his eyes red, but his cheeks freshly dry.
“I know…” Steve replied, sighing quietly and glancing away from Eddie.
“So…” Eddie swallowed, actually turning to look at him properly, his nose red and eyes a bit swollen, “so, what?”
Steve looked at him with confusion again, his voice sticking in his throat as he tried to puzzle out what this question meant. Surprisingly, his confusion actually elicited a laugh from Eddie who turned away again and pressed his eyes onto the top of his knees. He sounded half-charmed, and Steve let the note shutter his eyebrows up.
“So, what does this mean?” Eddie explained further, sounding shy.
Steve sucked in a breath and exhaled slowly. He hadn’t thought about getting this far. What did this mean? He didn’t know where to go from here.
“Do we…” he waffled, his expression pinched, “do we need to have a plan?”
Eddie seemed to consider the offer before eventually answering no and then looked back at Steve.
“We can figure it out as we go… if you want,” he offered and Steve felt his entire being quake at the prospect.
Figure it out as they went? They could just… figure it out as they went.
“Okay,” Steve swallowed, feeling a smile break onto his face for the first time in what felt like months.
“Okay, okay, yeah…”
Eddie let his legs drop as he slowly put his feet back down on the ground, his head hung a bit but his expression was much softer than it had been. He looked shy and perhaps a bit uncertain, but the emotions mingled nicely into the room as they both seemed to imagine the tender possibilities of what this meant for them.

How are you guys loving ‘2 Baddies’? I bought 6 albums this era, for sure I’ll buy more but I’m saving up to see NCT Dream and WayV next month. So, I think I’ll support 127 more during repack! I hope everyone is loving the album and has been streaming. Let’s give 127 wins huhu also im just uploading this thru phone so it might be jambled :(( sorry
“We need you here asap— he keeps smashing things” Jaehyun spoke through the phone as you hear Johnny at the background trying to get the phone from Jaehyun, shouting your name.
It’s been only weeks since you and Johnny broke up. He didn’t take it too well obviously, and you can’t believe you’re on your way to his place to take care of him. As soon as you arrived at his place, you went to the kitchen to heat something up for Johnny. And soon as you showed yourself to his friends, they were all relieved but Johnny was feeling… guilty, disgusted by himself and honestly all he wanted to do is hug you so tight.
You were purposely not answering every message he sent, not answering his calls, everything. You tried your best to avoid him. So now… you’re like a ghost. It almost felt like the first time he saw you. Your first date. A beautiful night. But now… the night was still beautiful because he finally saw you after the breakup but, he’s so broken right now.
“You can all go— sorry,” Johnny said, trying to get up from his couch while being mindful of the shattered wine glass on the floor. Successfully, you caught Johnny struggling to walk straight heading his room after you see Jaehyun and the other on their way out. You were quick to grab Johnny’s waist and helped him towards his bed.
He’s quiet now.
But he’s looking at your every move.
“We were fine. Why did you leave me like that” he started. Still in his drunken state. He leaned forward and rest his forehead on yours, all you can do is soothe his back and close your eyes.
“Wasn’t I your perfect man? How can you ruin us like that— we were fine” he cried out again. This time theres tears in his eyes and he was whimpering, blaming himself and trying to keep you closer to him even more.
You on the other hand, continue to gently try your best to sober him up. You used to have moments like this back in the past, moments that involves sweet talking, planning what to have for breakfast the next day, or how many rounds can you guys do for tonight’s love making. But now it’s just crying and wishing that you could go back in time.
“I wasn’t okay all the time Johnny, you have to understand that I can’t pull you down with me”
“What are you talking about—“
“You’re too good for me Johnny.
“What does that even mean? You’re the one who’s too good for me”
“No Johnny. Shut up you don’t know—“ you were getting really frustrated.
“No. You shut up. You didn’t even let me have a say in this. You just left me while I was still fighting and longing for us. I get it you’re not perfect, but I don’t need perfect too. I’m not perfect too, but when did I ever pushed you away? When did I ever stopped being a better version of myself?— I thought you love me”
He continued crying and whimpering.
You continued to listen and miss him even though you’re holding him. And you agree, everything he said is true and to be honest you’re already regretting that you left and made your lives miserable. It has been… nothing but dark skies ever since you left him.
Maybe all you need is talk. Talk it out. You never gave him a chance to convince you to stay.
“Fuck it— life continues without you. Fucking leave, that’s where you’re good at”
He pushed you away lightly, careful not to hurt you physically but the heartbreak that you’re feeling right now hurts even more.
As you close the door gently and proceed to cleaning up the mess he did, you remember how beautiful your relationship was with Johnny and you managed to ruin it and burn all the bridges down in a matter of weeks. You went inside again his room to take care of him, putting a clean shirt and managing to clean him up. It’s the least you could do.
What you didn’t expect was soft kisses on your neck from Johnny while you change his clothes. You missed the feeling of his lips. But what will happen to whats left in your relationship if you give in? You certainly didn’t want to be fuck buddies with him if that’s where he’s going. What you have… or what you had, was way more special just to go down this road.
“I need you to stop” you said calmly when you already felt Johnny’s big hand inside your shirt, cupping your boobs. He was humiliated once again, removed his hand before he left a soft kiss on your temple. He’s sorry and he’s already forgiven. Always.
And when the morning comes, regret was the first things that came into Johnny’s head. He was aware of what happened last night. What he said and what he did. But he didn’t expect to see you sleeping uncomfortably on his couch, freezing.
Of course you felt his presence in an instant. You’ve been craving for it. “Sorry I passed out, I was waiting for the sun to come out” You said with a warm smile, hoping that things between you two cooled down from last night.
“Well the sun is out. You can go now” he said coldly. He didn’t know why. He just felt the urge to be cold towards you this morning.
“O-okay. Thank you” you rambled and clumsily gathered your stuff. Heart broken as you help yourself out of his house. You never thought that Johnny would push you away like that… it must’ve hurt him too when you did the same thing to him.
Days went by and you two continue to miss each other.
You wanted to get back together, but you were scared that he will push you away again. And you can’t handle it anymore. Johnny on the other hand, was giving moving on a shot… because he thought this is really what you wanted.
But then again, the alcohol was just like magnet for the both of you. You received yet another emergency call from Jaehyun, telling you to go to this bar because Johnny needs you and has been asking for you non-stop.
“Can I pass this one out?” You asked Jaehyun through the phone.
“I believe no, the manager of the bar is already mad. Please Y/n, just this one time we’ll never bother you again”
Of course you went to the given address and looked for Johnny. There you saw him sleeping soundly outside the said bar and your heart was breaking as you watch him mumble that he’s tired and lost.
“Hi… Johnny, it’s me. I need you to take my arm—“ you said when you finally approached him.
“You’re not supposed to be here. Who called you? Jaehyun? Fuck him. He should know that I’m not your responsibility anymore, leave Y/n” he gently pushed you away. Again. And that’s it. You knew you couldn’t handle experiencing this again.
Of course you stepped back. But you watched him from behind, followed him every step of the way until he reaches his house. He forgot where he put his keys and if he’s totally being honest right now, he’s about to throw up from too much walking. When you decided to take it from there and offered to open his door, he didn’t stopped you because all he wanted to do is run towards his sink. But life had other plans for him because by the time you finally opened the door, he tried running inside but ended up tripping and you were quick to catch him. Making him throw up on your clothes.
You then realized how fucked up he is right now. Johnny is not usually like this. He’s never a handful and he never forgets to handle his own problems.
“This is all because of you” is all he can say.
And that completely broke your heart.
When things cooled down and you finally got the chance to clean yourself up. You were crying while you think over and over again what Johnny said. You told yourself. This it. This is exactly why you broke up with him. One last cry and you will be totally out of his life.
Of course Johnny felt bad while watching you clean yourself while crying. He was having second thoughts about saying he’s sorry but what he said is the ugly truth. Either way he did not hesitate to hand you clean clothes and tried comforting you the best way he could. “I should be the one crying— stay for the night, the bed is yours”
But you couldn’t stand it anymore. You did not look at him while you try and make yourself decent again. You even ignored the clothes he gave you. “I’ll be fine. Good night Johnny” you said weakly and head towards the door.
Frustration hit Johnny again. And this time when you were just about to leave, you wish that he will stop you. Please stop me. You secretly wish, tears running down your cheeks.
And in an instant you felt him hug you from behind. Immediately hugging you oh so tight that you couldn’t breathe but you love the feeling of it. “You can leave tomorrow. Just stay for the night” Johnny said. He knew that by the time he watch you leave again, he will regret not stopping you just like the night you broke up with him.
Given that you cant get away from his tight embrace, you assured him that you wont leave and sleep here at his place. He slowly gave you some space and head towards the bathroom again and handed you the clothes for the second time before he says ‘good night’
Heading towards his room with your heart beating so fast, you changed your clothes, with only his shirt on and your panties. You sat on his bed for hours and hours, thinking about the future. If this is the last night you’re going to be together like this. Apart and broken. Or you can go outside and fix it. Either way, you’re not sleeping.
But just as you were about to stand up from your comfort… Johnny opened the door and walked towards you, sitting in front of you and reached for your hand immediately. You didn’t stopped him.
“I don’t want to fight. I don’t want to talk for hours and hours. I love you and I want you to stay. Not just for tonight though,” he was close to tearing up but he was stopping himself, “H-hug me if you feel the same” he said weakly, his grip tightened wishing you would pull him in for that hug.
And so you did. And you didn’t just hugged him. You immediately kissed him lovingly and said your sorry for ruining your relationship. He shut you up with a heated kiss, feeling his soft touch all over you. Hearing the words, “let’s never hurt each other again” and “I don’t want to hear the word ‘sorry’ from now on” and immediately made you giggle when you felt his lips on your neck, kissing you down until you’re comfortably under his huge frame. Feeling his hands all over your body, slowly running it up and down. Even his touch felt so good and warm that you missed him already when he pull away to remove his clothes.
It almost felt like it was your first time with him again when you were watching him remove your clothes. Every touch, every kiss and every sound you hear from him makes you tingle and your nipples hard. Of course he saw it, he smirked and teased it, making you whine and grab his shoulders but he didn’t stop. He flattened his tongue and gently flipped the tip on your nipple, making you close your legs and became sensitive. Johnny loved your reaction and to be honest he just missed doing this to you so he pulled you up and made you sit on him, making him hug you with both arms, and let you grind on his hard cock, making it wet with your pussy juices.
He licked your nipples softly, making you weak and melt with his feathery touch on your back, sucking and biting it gently when he wanted to hear you. Ending his teasing with lots of kisses on your chest all the way up your lips until you two fell on the mattress again.
“Want to make me harder?” He asked sweetly, lips beside your ears, nibbling it until you say stop and switch places. Johnny spread his legs very wide and you did not hesitate to lick his long and thick cock. The only cock you love and made you cum so any times already. You gave him head for a few minutes, playing with tip and watching him stop himself from cumming.
“By the way you can’t cum inside me tonight, you might get me pregnant—“
“What’s this torture I thought were okay?” Johnny pouted with lidded eyes. He wanted to fuck your mouth so bad but tonight is not the right time to be filthy. “But can we fuck raw?” He made you stop sucking him and pulling you to an embrace, cleaning your face his hand and switching places with you again.
“Of course we can fuck raw, what are you? A stranger?” You let out a small laugh and kissed your boyfriend’s lips. You knew the moment you placed your lips on his, he will immediately line his cock in your entrance and slowly thrust in.
Smoothly and slowly. Johnny is fucking you now, making you crazy and dizzy with his cock, making you moan and ask for more. He was bigger than ever, you thought that he will rip you even though he was going slowly. Bodies on bodies, he fucked you even slower and deeper, he was moaning the whole time with furrowed brows and when you came and tried closing your legs, he stopped them from closing and started kissing you hungrily. Feeling his whole weight on you, slowly fucking you open until you didn’t have a choice but to cum while he was still fucking you and still catching his orgasm. Slowly.
It’s crazy how no one moved fast but you two were tired and sweaty as you both catch your breaths. Of course Johnny came outside and was quick to grab a tissue. You laugh and helped him clean up, spreading kisses all over his body until you’re both covered with his thick blanket, both very naked beneath it.
You’ve never been this close before. Tonight was just very different.
“Do you want to live with me?”
He said out of nowhere while you were playing with his hands.
“What? Where did that came from?” You asked and came closer.
“I don’t want to see you leaving my place again. I swear Y/n— I’ll go crazy” he caged you with his long legs, and made you laugh again. He was still hard but he didn’t want to go another round, he was just happy and excited again for the future, he told you.
“Thanks for fixing us, for us.” You looked him in the eye and rolled on top of him so you could have a good look at him. “Yes I would like to move in with you,” you smiled and placed a kiss on his soft lips which formed a smile.

PLEASE Dalton comforting reader after a bad day!!
She had been studying for this test for weeks. It was a big one, so there was a lot of pressure.
She was aware that this test would determine whether she would pass that awful class she dreaded every morning, and she was a good student, but this class just sucked the life out of her.
Y/N put her mind into it, she had been stuck in the library every afternoon and in her dorm every night to study for the test, barely leaving any time to spend with her friends or her boyfriend, but she could only focus on getting a decent grade.
When the day finally came she was feeling more nervous than ever, but she was still somewhat confident about the test. That was until the professor handed her the piece of paper and her mind went completely blank, her knowledge disappearing as she read the questions she was being asked.
She tried her best to remember everything she had been studying, but for the most part it was impossible. Eventually she ran out of time, and she had to turn it in no matter how empty or wrong it was.
She walked out of that classroom destroyed. She was defeated and all those sleepless nights she spent with her nose buried in a book felt like a total waste.
On her way back to her dorm she tried her best to hold her tears, but it was getting harder with each step. And when she made it there, she started crying as soon as she closed the door.
She curled up in her bed, letting all that consuming and irrational feeling of failure sink in. She knew she wasn’t a failure, but she couldn’t help but feel that after miserably failing the test she studied so hard for.
Suddenly, a knock on the door pulled her out of her thoughts. She let out a loud sigh as she left her bed. She knew it was Dalton, and any other day she would’ve been happy to see him, but right now she didn't want him to have to see her in that pathetic state.
She stared at herself in the mirror, sighing again when she realised how obvious it was that she had been crying, so she’d just have to avoid eye contact.
“Hi baby” He greeted her with a smile as he entered the room.
“Hey” She replied, immediately turning around and walking towards her desk, sitting facing away from Dalton as she pretended to read the book that was there.
“Did you sleep okay last night? How did your test go?” He walked closer to her and placed his hands on her shoulders.
“It was okay”
"You alright love? You seem down" His brows were slightly furrowed as he tried to make eye contact..
"Yeah, fine. I think I’m just gonna take a shower or something, I woke up really early today" She replied, clearly lacking energy.
“Hey now, let’s not do that” Dalton turned the chair over to make her face him. He looked down at her and noticed her glossy eyes, a worried feeling growing inside him “Talk to me, please. What’s wrong?”
She shook her head briefly “Everything’s fine”
“Y/N…” The slip of her name past his lips made her wanna cry again. Of course she wanted to be comforted by her boyfriend, but she didn’t like the thought of him having to pick up the pieces anytime she messed up. As a tear rolled down her face, she realised that she didn't have the energy or even the desire to push him away “Oh baby, come here”
Dalton took her hand as he sat on her bed, pulling her to his lap. Her face was buried in his black shirt, the tears wetting it instantly as he brushed a hand softly up and down her back.
“It’s okay, I’ve got you” He would understand if she didn’t wanna talk about it, but he still needed to know what was happening “Do you wanna talk?”
“I just-” A sob cut her off “I- I couldn’t do it, even after everything I did”
“Is this about your test?” He asked, his voice softer than ever, and she simply nodded “It’s alright-”
“No, Dalton, it’s not alright. I studied for weeks and I still failed, I’m so stupid-”
“Hey, baby look at me” He interrupted, pulling back a bit and gently lifting her chin to look into her eyes “You know that’s not true, you’re so smart and I've always admired your beautiful mind. You gave it your best, you studied really hard and even if you don’t get the grade you deserve, you know I’m right here. Now, why didn’t you wanna tell me?”
"Because I don't want you to be disappointed in me like I am right now” She looked down to her lap as more tears fell from her eyes.
“You should know that I could never be disappointed in you, Y/N. You are so intelligent and kind, I’ve never met anyone with such a beautiful soul so I don't ever want you to feel down about yourself, because you are perfect” She felt both of Dalton’s large hands caress either side of her face, bringing it up so he could look into her eyes again as swiped at the tears that had managed to escape from her eyes.
The slight smile that had formed on her tear-stained face told Dalton that his words did mean something to her, and they did “You’re only saying that cause you’re my boyfriend”
“No, I’m your boyfriend for all those reasons” She laughed slightly “And I’m sure that no one would disagree with me”
“My professor would”
“What does he know?” That made Y/N laugh again, making Dalton smile, a smile so sincere that told Y/N he believed everything he just said.
"Thank you, baby, even though you’re being a little biassed" She sniffled as she gently stroked his cheek, keeping her eyes locked with his “I love you”
“I love you too” Dalton smiled, pressing his lips to her forehead “Now, why don’t we go for some ice cream?” He asked as he got on his feet, bringing her up with him
“I don’t wanna leave my room”
“It’s okay, I’ll bring the ice cream to you” Dalton gave her a tight hug, rubbing his hands down her back “And we can watch a movie or something, just wait right here, okay?”
She nodded before pulling away and kissing him softly “Sorry about your shirt”
“Don’t worry about it, I have like 3 other shirts exactly like this one” They laughed and Y/N already felt a million times better.

summary. when you’re burnt out, alhaitham is there for you, even though he’s just your roommate.
ft. alhaitham x y/n (no kaveh this time </3)
cw. modern!au, (optional: gifted kid) burnout
wc. 1.8k
notes. burnout sucks especially when you love academic validation :(( senioritis is coming for me soon and i’m trying to stay as motivated as possible to do work but even with college application results coming out well (i’m not letting digital footprint ruin anything for me but hey only 1 rejection and a deferral) i can feel that i’m losing energy to work on school. anyway  a mid story for a mid feeling :((
Tumblr media
on a tuesday night at 2am after a long day of work, alhaitham walked past your bedroom door. although it was dark, he could tell that your desk lamp was still on by the faint glow that shone from under the door. you had spent the past several days up this late working on some sort of project.
you looked miserable these days. your eyes were puffing, signifying that you had been crying recently and the bags under your eyes were so deep that he was certain that you had gotten an aggregate of an hour of sleep that week. during the rare times that you shared a meal together, you barely spoke and barely ate.
although school in general was a struggle, your major was significantly more demanding than the others. it wasn’t uncommon for you to stay up late working on an essay or finishing other homework, but this past week had been killing you and he could clearly tell.
however, he didn’t feel like it was his place to be saying anything to you. sure, you probably saw him more than your friends, especially since you were his roommate, but that didn’t mean the two of you were extremely close. other than the occasional grocery run together and conversations in the living room, you never spent much time together outside of the house.
but that night as he walked past your room, he heard sniffling. he paused, lifting his headphones to check if he heard correctly.
“i’m so tired of everything,” he heard you say from beyond the door, muffled by your sleeves.
he pursed his lips as he considered what he should do. on a normal day, he would have ignored it and gone to sleep since it was none of his business, but this time something was pulling on him to interfere, even if it was rude.
he took in a deep breath and knocked on your bedroom door.
“hey, are you in there?”
he heard nothing but silence on the other side of the door. then he heard some shuffling and the door clicked open.
as expected, you looked terrible. your eyes and cheeks were wet with tears and your nose was runny. your clothes and hair were disheveled and from beyond you, he could see several empty cups of coffee strewn all over your desk indicating that you were running on nothing but caffeine. your floor was covered in papers and pencils as if you had thrown them at the ground, perhaps out of a fit of anger.
“sorry, i must look like a mess right now,” you said, your voice thick, “but did you need something?”
haitham’s heart dropped after hearing your voice. he had never been so concerned for an almost stranger crying, but the tears threatening to spill over and the way your lips quivered slightly made him want to comfort you.
“i guess it would be stupid of me to ask if you’re alright.”
you gave him a small smile before looking at the ground. “it’s the thought that counts. but i’m sure you already know the answer. i know it’s a pigsty in here, but would you like to come inside?”
“if you don’t mind,” he responded as he stepped inside. besides there being a lot of stuff thrown around, it wasn’t nearly as bad as you made it out to be.
you ushered him onto the end of your bed and you sat beside him before letting out a long sigh.
“when did you start working today?” he turned to look at you.
you thought for a moment. “i woke up at around 6 this morning.”
“and went to sleep when?”
you went silent.
“i’m concerned for you. this isn’t healthy.”
“i know that, haitham. if i could, i would be sleeping from 9 to 6 everyday.”
he was confused. you were more than capable of finishing your work quickly and he had seen it done before. it was strange that you were even spending so much time on a project that he knew others had already finished a while ago.
“i’m just,” you started, “losing all my motivation. i don’t feel like doing anything. but the tuition is what’s preventing me from just dropping out entirely.”
you flopped onto the bed and covered your face.
“i don’t know what’s wrong with me. i used to love doing projects and writing essays for classes. but all of a sudden i just can’t do it anymore. i’m so tired.”
it was silent for a short moment as haitham considered what he should do. he knew that he was supposed to comfort someone in this kind of situation, but he didn’t want to cross a boundary that wasn’t meant to be crossed between roommates. despite this, he wanted to hold you in his arms in a way that wouldn’t be done between just roommates, even if it would make things awkward later.
he gently grabbed you and pulled you up so that you were in his arms. when he noticed that you were shaking from your sobs, he instinctively tightened his arms around you and stroked your head softly. you weren’t pushing him away, so he assumed he was making the right decision by doing this. with no comforting words to say, this was the most he could do for you.
after a long time, you finally pulled away from him, wiping your tears away.
“‘m sorry you had to see that,” you apologized although alhaitham was more sorry that he couldn’t do anything to help you. “i think that the lack of sleep has put my emotions into whack.”
he shook his head profusely. “i remember a friend of mine once saying that it’s important to release any kind of emotion you have.”
alhaitham followed your eyes as you stared up at the ceiling. “i’m not sure what it is. i feel like i’m such a disappointment. my grades are slipping at an exponential rate and i feel like i’ll never be able to catch up to them.”
he thought for a moment about what he could say to you. you got this and you’re doing great felt shallow and were probably very inconsiderate responses, even if he believed in them. asking you to take a break would be fruitless and telling you that your grades weren’t as important as your health would obviously not get through to you.
“do you want me to make you some food?”
you looked at his face for the first time in a while. it seemed that his offering was something that interested you. “what kind of food?”
“just some comfort food that my grandmother used to make for me. i could make some for you if you’d like? i’m not as good of a chef as she was, but i can replicate it pretty well.”
“well, i am actually kinda hungry,” you thought to yourself out loud. “i’d like to try your cooking! do you want me to help with anything?”
he shook his head in response. “just sit on the couch and try to relax. we can go back to your project after we eat, but take a break for the time being. i’ll help you with getting inspiration.”
you looked at him with wide eyes as you followed him out of the room and sat on the couch as he instructed.
“hey, why are you being so nice to me all of a sudden, though?” he heard you ask while he was getting some of the spices from the cabinet.
he paused mid-movement, hand frozen in the air. why was he being so nice to you? he knew he wasn’t a heartless person by nature, but he wasn’t very caring either, especially to someone who was just his roommate. he thought about your crying face and felt a literal pang in his heart. he didn’t even feel this way towards his friends (not that he had many).
“i’d rather see your face smiling than crying,” he finally responded simply.
you went quiet for a moment as if to try to take in what he said. “thank you. i don’t have many people i can turn to whenever i’m going through, i dunno, burnout or whatever. you were the first person who listened to me in a while.” he then heard you mumble something else afterwards.
“what was that? i didn’t catch the last part,” he said as he leaned around the corner to look into the living room.
you pursed your lips as if you didn’t want to say anything, but your eyes looked like they wanted to say it. you urged him to come closer and he set down the onion powder to sit next to you. you urged him again and he leaned in so that you could whisper into his ear.
“i said, it feels extra special since it’s you,” you said in a hushed voice before covering your face.
alhaitham froze again and started to feel heat creep up his neck and face. what a strange reaction to just nine words. however, you also seemed to be reacting similarly as you looked like you were about to die of embarrassment.
“you don’t have to reciprocate those feelings or anything,” you clarified. “it’s more than enough that you listened to me today and had to deal with everything.”
“but what if i do reciprocate those feelings?”
“what?”
“i said, what if i do reciprocate those feelings?”
you looked at alhaitham strangely. “well, i guess that would mean, uh, one of us asks each other out on a date or something. i don’t really know.”
“then would you like to have a dinner date with me right now?” he offered. his face was still very warm, but he was smirking regardless of it.
“wait.” you held up your hands in front of you. “wait, wait, wait. are you saying that you like me?”
he didn’t say anything but his expression remained the same.
“oh. well then, i guess i would like to go on a dinner date with you.”
alhaitham broke out into a smile. he never expected a confession would come out of a night like this. “we can go on a date after you go to sleep though. i wouldn’t want you falling asleep while eating dinner.” and he went back into the kitchen to put the finished dish into a bowl.
“hey haitham?”
he turned to look at you again. “yes?”
“thanks again.”
“anything for you.”

┈⋆⭒ daniel ricciardo x fem!reader [3.1k] ┈⋆⭒ part 5 !
.𖥔 ݁ ˖ ⎯ find all parts here! ˗ˏˋ ´ˎ˗ .𖥔 ݁ ˖ ⎯ contains: 18+, minors dni, bitchy reader, bitchy Daniel, unnecessary angst .𖥔 ݁ ˖ ⎯ a/n: its getting juicy don't fear
the start to the season was approaching and you weren’t sad as such but part of you was feeling a little bit almost left out that they’d be leaving and you’d be staying. they’d be living their life flying from different countries every week and you’d be here. in london working and studying and only seeing your one friend. it was a little bit hard to stomach how isolated that made you feel. they had both been such a big part of your life in the recent weeks or months, you hadn’t kept count of the time that had flown by. it was late early march now and the first race of the season was the 29th. you’d knew they’d be leaving soon. you'd called Daniel and Lando seperately on the day they were leaving, they both expressed their discontent that you wouldn't be present. you laughed it off, tuning in every practice session and on Sunday. Daniel was struggling more than Lando and you had the urge to call him or something, something that just friends wouldn't do, but it hurt he was miserable most of the time, in those interviews he looked completely worn down. it had a week since they'd both been gone and you'd mostly got on with it, you liked a fair amount of mundanity but you weren't unhappy when Daniel reach out.
tuesday morning (following week)
(1) new message: Daniel Ricciardo
hey wasn’t sure if lando has already reached out, and i know that you have uni work and stuff (geek). BUT, if you were interested in coming to Italy for the race, i can get you a pass? we’d both love it if you came. 😉
it was a no brainer. yes of course. a fucking f1 race and a paddock pass from a driver, obviously. yes you had uni but come on you have a laptop for that and you can do it on the train. you composed yourself and went to grace, who was thrown across the couch. your smile told her everything she needed to know. daniel. you showed her the text and she was as happy as you were, pushing and shoving you. insisting you go.
“i know i know” your insisting, slightly encouraging her to calm down slightly, but enjoying the justification of your emotions. after the debrief of packing and transport and all the boring stuff, you texted him back. of course you would love to come, do you meet him there or go there together, what happens? you were basically asking a lot of questions but overall starting with a very firm, yes. obviously.
trying to curb your sheer excitement you went to work on one of your recent assignments. figuring if you were pathetic to obsess over a man who was quite literally a formula one driver, you could channel that energy into your uni work that you wouldn’t be doing over the weekend, since you were in a different country. what you hadn’t expected was reaching for your phone an hour and a half later and seeing that daniel had replied. (you had changed his contact name in your phone, figuring you're on first name basis now.)
(1) new message from: danny
oh yeah, well i mean we’ll figure out all the lil things later but you can come with the team, with me and lando. we’re allowed a guest each so, if that sounds good with you i can get a car to pick you up wednesday morning for the flight. we have a few days before we race so we can have some fun.
is that all okay?
yes omg, but are you sure?
yeah of course!
you were shamelessly blushing looking down at your phone. you were giddy and you loved it. your assignment lay unedited on your bed as you flicked through your closet debating what to pack, enlisting graces help as you always do. Trying to relay to her the exact niche of what you wear to a formula one race. You think she understood? Or at least had a clearer mind than you did. packing was a lengthy and drawn out endeavour, one which resulted in the complete disregard of a suitcase but rather just a pile of clothing options on the floor that were the "options". so as far to say went well.
you only had 2 days before you left and you wondered if you should bother calling your parents, you decided against it, they never really cared anyway. they barely called you once a month, let alone to announce their coming's and going's. the next 2 days pass in a blur of preparing to go to Austria and uni and work, you're glad someone could take your shift, because they didn't love you enough to not get mad for just flaking.
Wednesday morning, 6:38am
(1) new message from: danny
the driver is outside whenever you're ready
you said goodbye to grace and drag yourself and your bag outside, hoping your state is acceptable enough. the man gets out of the car and greets you with a smile taking the luggage from you and putting it in the back of the car. it was all so fucking fancy. you sent Daniel a text
I forgot you were rich this is insane, you might be my favourite person ever.
im telling lando you said that
don't you dare
you arrive at the airport just as the sun rises and thank the driver profusely before going to the departures terminal. you arrive at bologna at around 1pm Italian time. lando had promised to pick you up and sure enough as you walked out of the terminal they were both standing there, boyish and bright and nudging each other. joking and pointing, seeing who would spot you first. neither of them did. when they finally do they feign shock and you walk towards them . they both engulf you with a hug and you can't help but laugh, Daniel holds your gaze as you pull away and get lead to the car.
the drive isn't too long to where they're staying near Imola and the scenery is so beautiful, you send grace a few pictures and post one on your story. you figure you fell asleep because you don't remember pulling up to the hotel but you remember Lando's face in yours and Daniel standing back laughing, you rub your eyes and glare at him.
"how'd you sleep" lando says with a snort.
"shove off" you say, getting your stuff out of the back seat and pushing him out of the way.
"you're a snorer did you know?' Daniel says looking between you and lando.
your eyes widen for a second before realising hes joking.
"no I am not" you say, quite matter of factly as you walk into the foyer of the hotel. trying not to drop your jaw as you're met with one of the swankiest hotels you've ever seen. your room is equally impressive as Daniel and lando insist to give you a grand tour. you settle in and receive a text from both of them, inviting you for dinner with the other drivers and some friends. you say yes and they say they'll be at yours around 7 and to dress semi-casual, whatever that meant. there wasn't much to watch on the TV seeing as it was all in Italian so you settled on the repetition of a few favourite albums as you were getting ready, settling on a long skirt and a nice fitting top. the skirt was long and loose and the top was short and tight, complementary you thought. you had only packed one pair of heels so settled on that pair, they were reasonably comfortable and were a favourite of yours. you'd finished getting ready at 6:45, needing a 15 minute period of silence to get ready to interact with people who you'd literally only ever seen on TV. you honestly could've taken another nap before leaving, you were exhausted.
Lando and Daniel show up right on time and in sheer gentlemanly fashion fight over who gets shotgun. you step back and after having a heated, whispered conversation look over at you to say, "who should drive".
"do scissors, paper, rock."
they nod at that statement and continue, lando winning and Daniel storming towards you in a faux sulk.
"you'll be okay" you say jokingly, patting Daniel on the back.
"ill never get over it" he says, closing his eyes and turning away in a kind of show to Lando.
"okay children lets go" a shocking line said by Lando who in most situations is the child but you oblige.
-
the restaurant is magical, the only words you can come up with, its a big long table all set up outside and its in a winery and its all so beautiful, shamelessly taking photos of everything and quite literally anything. you're not the first to arrive but it seems that others haven't yet arrived. you sit down next to Charles who is sat next to Pierre and Kika. his face is nearly jarring, how just absolutely perfect it is. you weren't attracted to him like that, but oh my god he was definitely something nice to look at. he shakes your hand quite formally and introduces himself before asking what you do, you respond that you're studying, to which his interest peaks and you get into a conversation about that. the conversation ebbs and flows as more people arrive and Daniel and Lando drift out of your vision to go talk to other drivers. its getting dark and you're on your third drink when kika and Pierre come over and introduce themselves to you, you're already in a group with Carlos, Charles, Alex and lily. Kika seems lovely and while you don't seem to be a massive fan of Pierre he seems to be close with Charles so he doesn't speak to you much. lily is just about the sweetest person you'll ever meet and you talk to her and Kika for a while before you excuse yourself to go find Lando or Daniel, having not seen either of them in a while. you stop by the bar first and manage to spot Daniel chatting on the phone just off to the side, you don't meant to be nosy but with the rigidity of his posture you're guessing he's not too happy and you don't want to make him feel like he's all alone, that's the last thing you want him to feel.
you approach, with slight caution trying to wave before you get to close as to say, "promise im not eavesdropping". your effort is futile as he hangs up the phone and turns around swiftly coming face to face with you. his eyes are red and his jaw is tense. his eyes slightly widen at the proximity of you both.
"what are you-"
"are you okay?" hoping these words project the sincerity that you mean to.
he smiles at you, but it doesn't reach his eyes.
"im just fucking angry to be honest, work shit is killing me"
you tilt your head, squinting your eyes slightly before returning a small grin.
"wanna talk about it"
"you're drunk Dylan"
"this is only my third, so no im not and you're avoiding the question"
"I don't wanna talk about it"
"okay then ill just go back to talking to Charles then" you say dramatically and turn to leave, he grabs your wrist and you turn towards him with a puzzled look.
"don't" he says softly.
you meet his eyes, softer now, his jaw still clenched. moments like these you notice how beautiful he is. he is always beautiful, but away from the crowds and the fans when he is at ease and his face is shadowed in the moonlight you notice and not only do you notice but you look and its hard to draw yourself away from it to respond.
"I thought you didn't want to talk"
"I don't" he grunts out
you roll your eyes.
"just-"
before he can finish what he is saying, lando comes upon from behind you, scaring you. you jump and turn around, slapping him in the shoulders. he's still recovering when he tries to speak.
"so you were just going to abandon me, you guys suck"
Daniel waits for you to answer, head turned towards you.
"Daniel just wanted to run away from you" pointing at lando.
"liar"
you turn towards Daniel giving him a sympathetic look.
"I swear im coming back, just give me a sec"
lando smirks at you and Daniel before walking off.
"well" you say lowly, awaiting his complete response since he was cut off by Lando.
"nothing" blankness filled his features
"oh come on if you're angry wouldn't you rather let it out"
"no" his gaze hardens.
your shoulders drop, honestly fairly fed.
"okay"
"go back and talk to Charles"
"what"
"go back and flirt with Charles "
there's now words, the most you can do is scoff in his fucking smug face.
"yeah okay dickhead" you more confused at his outburst than angry but it gets you riled up nonetheless.
you meet Lando back at the table and he presents you with your fourth drink and some appetisers as the night cools down and people loosen up. Daniel returns shortly after, though notably less content then when he left, he inserts himself into a conversation with Sebastian and Lance and seems reasonably talkative, though you don't ignore the look he gives you from across the table.
somehow you find yourself with a fifth drink at the corner of the table between Carlos and Charles, its completely harmless, you're really not flirting, or at least not trying to, but the burning look that Daniel continues to give you is getting unavoidable. Carlos and Charles are talking about something irrelevant while you make small side comments every now and again before again, excusing yourself for another drink. if Daniel was going to say you're drunk, the least you could do was get drunk. you meet with Lando at the bar who you stay a while to chat with, its easy talking to Lando and he's fun, you take a few shots and some other drivers join you though next to Lando so you're not too sure exactly who they were. on the third round of shots nearly every driver is at the bar and you notice Daniel's presence more than anyones.
you go outside for some air and you wish you could say you were surprised when you turn around and see Daniels coming after you.
your leant up against the wall when he finally opens his mouth.
"im sorry"
you wait for him to continue.
"about before, im sorry"
"which part?"
"all of it"
"really?"
"yes"
"are you still angry?"
"furious"
"you do a good job at hiding it" genuinely impressed with his composure.
"not healthy though" he scoffs
"fair enough"
"should probably go punch something"
"not a fan of talking?" you say
"no I love talking, just not about this shit"
"this shit?" you question.
"work shit, meaningless shit, shit that makes my blood fucking boil"
you nod and he moves next to you, occupying the space next to you.
"I wasn't flirting with Charles you know?"
he turns and looks at you.
"I know. Charles thought you were though"
"but you know I wasn't"
"but he didn't"
"so?"
"so he wanted you, that made me angrier, the way he looked at you" he's grimacing now, as he speaks out.
"I made you angry?" you move infant of him, wanting to read his emotions slightly.
"I wish you didn't" he says honestly and then continues
"you shouldn't, I shouldn't be angry, I shouldn't be this fucking angry about my mate just talking to you" he's tensing his jaw now, and shaking his leg, avoiding your gaze.
"take it out on me" the words leave your mouth before you can stop it and his heads perks up.
"what" he breaths out, gulping.
"you know what I mean"
"I shouldn't"
you move closer to him, touching the skin of his neck with the tips of your fingers, he inhales sharply at your touch and closes your eyes.
"fuck" he says.
your hand moves up and down his neck and goes to cup his jaw, he moves into your touch, unknowingly. though he appears to still be fighting himself, refusing to touch you, hands clenched at his sides. eyes screwed shut.
“daniel”
his eyes open at his name and you give him a wanton look.
“don’t” he says, nostrils flaring, hands open and closing again.
“please”
“fuck” his hands stretch out and grasp your waist, pulling you into him. he moves his head to your neck, breath fanning there for a while, before moving one of his hands to your lower back. you close your eyes at his touch, succumbing to it as his hands move up and down the side of your body. moving your shirt up so his hands are on your bare waist.
"dan-"
"you feel so good"
his words make you weak, spineless, boneless. just for him. your already on fire and he hasn't even kissed you. yeah lets change that.
there's animosity in the force that brings you two together, he kisses with a kind of breathlessness you weren't ready for. your hands grasping at his hair as he pulls you impossibly closer to him hands both resting on the small of your back. you both break for air and his pupils are blown, in a swift motion you are now the one against the wall and Daniel is covering his whole body with yours, kissing down your neck, licking the place he dwells over and the places which seem to have you squirming. you're tilting your neck for more access as he seems to not get enough of you, having to pull his face up in line with yours and kiss him just to get his attention. he moans into the kiss as you bite his bottom lip softly, his hand is tangled in your hair as you feel his hips buck into yours. fuck you were so warm. the heat from everything happening nearly becoming too much. he feels so fucking go-.
"Dylan, Daniel where are you" the voice sounds distant but loud enough and your eyes snap open at the source. Daniels body is off yours in a second and he looks like a deer in headlights, eyes wide as he smooths his hair and adjusts his pants. you're not too sure what to do, gain composure is your only choice. you follow Daniel after a bit and walk back inside, the crew is now slightly more drunk than when you left and Daniel is nowhere to be seen.

The Strawberry Song - Part 3 (Alessia Russo x Reader)
I recommend you read the other parts first, you can find them here: Part 1, Part 2
Also, at some point during this part the reader will sing the song again. It might be nice to listen to it again or read the full lyrics, which you can both find in part 2!
Tumblr media
You were woken up by the sound of your alarm, letting you know that you had in fact slept. Even if it was just for a few hours, sleep had been scarce this week, so you were happy with any snippet of slumber you could get. Like most previous mornings, you immediately reached out for your phone to check your notifications. Unlike those other mornings, the person who had occupied your mind all week had actually messaged you.
Lessi 🍓: Bench, noon
Your heart rate immediately accelerated upon reading the message. Even though it was rather short and cold, it told you just what you wanted to hear: she still wanted to meet up with you. You got out of bed and turned on some music in the bathroom before dancing in the shower, nearly slipping on the wet floor twice.
One of the things that had occupied your mind all week, was how to organise the perfect date to reignite the flame between the two of you. However, you were unsure whether there would be a date at all, so you hadn’t really prepared anything. The word “bench” in her text told you exactly where she wanted to meet you, and given the location, a park, you figured a picnic would be nice. You spent the morning going grocery shopping, to buy food for said picnic, and you filled your bag with fresh bread, a homemade salad and, obliviously, strawberries. You also managed to print out a movie schedule and wrote down some restaurant options on the back. Fully prepared and satisfied with yourself, you left the house with a wide grin on your face.
When you arrived at the park, you went straight to the all too familiar bench below a large willow tree. With long, graceful willow branches draping, gently grazing the ground, creating a round canopy above the bench with an opening at the front, this was the perfect spot for any romantic occasion, and it had been for many of your previous dates. As you sat yourself down on the bench, you couldn’t help but reminisce about some of those moments.
At your first date you had taken her out to a nice café, and you decided to take a walk afterwards as you weren’t nearly finished talking. You ended up on the willow bench, continuing to talk for at least an hour. Even though you were both still very awkward back then, you completely lost track of time, and both of you ended up having to leave in a hurry, agreeing to meet again soon to finish your conversations.
The second time on the bench, was on your third date. You had taken Alessia to a lovely looking restaurant, which you left as soon as you could because the waiter kept flirting with her, making her incredibly uncomfortable. Most other restaurant were full at that time, as it was a Friday night, so you ended up getting take out from a new falafel place and eating it on the bench. Even though that date didn’t go as planned at all, in hindsight it was one of your favourites. The food wasn’t very good, but you ended up throwing fries at each other trying to catch them with your mouths and you attempted doing keepy-uppies together with the falafel balls, which of course she had the upper hand in, but both of you had a good laugh at you miserable failure. When it started getting colder you snuggled up on the bench. You gathered some courage, looked up at her and asked if you could kiss her, before sharing your first sober kiss. It was that day you truly fell for her.
The third time on the bench was during date number five, which had been somewhat more casual. When you once again sat on the bench under the willow tree however, you pulled out your phone and headphones, to play a personalised playlist you made for the both of you. “These are all songs that remind me of you, and us, so far. I added 10 songs for now, but I plan on adding many more for our future memories.” She blushed as the both of you enjoyed the music you had picked out in silence.
The fourth time on the bench was after date number six. This time, she had taken the lead, taking you out to her favourite Italian place in town. You ended up at the bench again and it was then and there that she asked you to be her girlfriend, to which you immediately said yes, without any hesitation.
And now here you were, sitting on a bench varnished with beautiful memories, hoping that what was about to take place wouldn’t become the memory to ruin them all. You were rummaging through your bag in search of your phone, when you felt a hand on your shoulder, and as you looked up you were met with the same pair of eyes that stood out in every single one of the memories had just occupied your mind. “Hi.” You said softly. “Hi.” Alessia replied. You stood up to hug her, but soon hesitated, wondering whether she would be okay with that. She looked at you questioningly. You decided to just hold out your hand. “Oh, come here.” She said as she pulled you in for a hug. It was short and kind of awkward, but still, there was a hug, and you briefly got to touch her again.
You sat back down and so did she, leaving a distinct gap between the two of you. You didn’t really know what to say, as you were kind of expecting her to start talking, but when she didn’t immediately speak you reached for your backpack to show her the food you brought for the picnic. “Y/N, wait.” She suddenly said, reaching her arm across your bag before you could open it. “I think we should talk first.” “Right.” You said as you put your bag back down. You waited for a bit, but again, she didn’t speak, so you decided to take matters into your own hands. “Less, I have to ask, did Ella change your mind about this?” You asked, gesturing at the both of you. “You know, us?” Alessia sighed audibly, as she took a while to compose her thoughts on the matter.
“Okay first of all, sorry about Ella, she’s just being protective.” She finally said. “I get it, she should be.” You answered, looking at your shoes, knowing you couldn’t look her in the eyes with the guilt you felt. “Second,” she continued steadfast, “I can make my own decisions you know.” She looked straight ahead as the wind blew some of the hairs that had fled her ponytail across her face. “Right, of course, sorry. I just thought, since you ignored me all week-” “And that brings me to my third point, remember when I said I wanted to take things slow?” You stayed silent as you realised you didn’t respect her wishes at all this past week, constantly trying to contact her. “That means we can’t just go back to texting every day like nothing happened. I meant what I said, we can slowly start meeting up again and see where it goes, but I don’t just want to jump back into old routines, Y/N.” It was now your turn to gather your thoughts. “I’m sorry Less, you’re right. How about I let you take the lead from now on? You set the pace, I’ll follow. Okay?” “Okay.”
The rest of the date went by in a heartbeat. It was still awkward at times, but you mostly just caught up on everything you missed in each others lives. She told you silly locker room stories, and about her upcoming matches, as you told her about the new gigs you had planned and a weird fan interaction you experienced the other day. At some point you awkwardly admitted to having planned a picnic and you ended up eating some of the food you brought. “Strawberries, of course.” She chuckled.
It wasn’t a very long date and as promised Alessia took the lead, heading home after about 45 minutes, but not before asking you if you wanted to hang out again next week. “I’d love that, and just to be clear, no texting or calling before then?” You asked. “See, you’re learning already.” She chuckled.
The next few weeks, as promised, you slowly started to see each other again. You did everything in your power to be the best girlfriend in the world, doing everything on her pace, always waiting for her to text, call, ask you out, or initiate anything at all. The furthest you went was asking her if you could plan a date for once, which she thankfully agreed to, but not without a comprehensive list of demands about the duration, location and even something she she called the romance factor.
Nearly two months went by, and you were still going out of your way to do everything right for her, hoping to regain her trust little by little. At times it was exhausting, but you were certain it was for the best, as you were on a mission. Although there were little cues that indicated she wasn’t quite there yet. Like when you had planned a date she would often text or call an hour before to check if you hadn’t forgotten about it. Or when you’d achieve any sort of accomplishment, before even congratulating you she’d ask you whether you’d go out to celebrate, concern often clear in her voice. She even started asking questions about fans at gigs, specifically girls and the attention they’d give you. The latter genuinely offended you, as you never did anything even remotely close to cheating, which she should know.
It also didn’t help that Ella was keeping an eye on you the whole time. After a few weeks and a lot of convincing on Alessia’s part, she actually agreed on being in the same room as you, but that didn’t mean she’d make nice conversation. You mostly tried to ignore her fiery, wary eyes burning holes in your back whenever she stood behind you however, as it was someone else’s trust you were after.
It had been about three months since you had started seeing each other again, when Alessia came to one of your gigs. You decided this was the perfect time to finally make a romantic gesture again. You convinced your band to do an intermezzo of sorts, and after a few songs your band members suddenly left the stage like you told them to do. You leaned forward to speak into your microphone as the crowd looked at you expectantly. “Hi everyone, I’m going to play something slightly different now. This one is for a very special person. You know who you are.” Your eyes scanned the relatively small crowd to find Alessia, taking just a little too long before you finally noticed her curious eyes somewhere in the crowd. You smiled and send her a quick wink, before laying down the first chord, to which a heartfelt smile of recognition appeared on Alessia’s face.
Night skies, dark and stormy Soft cries, as you lay before me
Your voice trembled ever so slightly as you sang your first line, never having sung solo for such a crowd before, but you quickly shifted your gaze back to Alessia, making everyone else disappear. You felt every word you sang, melodies carrying your passion through the room.
I vow, to love you like you should be loved
When you got to the last line, you closed your eyes, putting every bit of meaning behind the vow. Your eyes remained closed and you stayed still as you let the sound die out, silently guiding the crowd to do the same. When there was nothing but silence left you opened your eyes again. “Thank you.” The crowd erupted, but you were still completely focussed on one particular face. Alessia was glowing. You did also notice she brought Ella, who now dramatically rolled her eyes at you, but you couldn’t help but notice the corner of her mouth curling up ever so slightly, hiding the small smile on her face.
Apparently, by performing solo you had suddenly gained al lot of interest from fans, as many people wanted to speak with you and take pictures after the show. It was all quite overwhelming, but you were raised to be polite, and so you stayed for a bit before quickly going backstage to find Alessia. “Y/N!” You suddenly heard behind you when you entered the backstage hallway. “Dani! Oh my god, hey!” With everything going on you had completely forgotten that your cousin was in town this week. “Mam, you can’t come back here.” Some security guy called out as he grabbed Danielle by the arm. “No please, it’s okay, she’s with me.” “Oh, sorry about that.” The man said as he let go of your cousin.
“Wow, Y/N, you’ve made it big haven’t you? Security and everything.” Danielle said as you walked her into the backstage area. “Yeah, I guess so.” You chuckled. “Thank you for coming by the way, I hope you liked it.” “It was amazing! You were amazing, Y/N, I am so proud of you.” She said genuinely, making you smile shyly. “So how have you been, how’s life in the states?” Ever since your cousin moved to America about 4 years ago, your contact was limited to transatlantic phone calls, which were difficult to plan due to the time difference, so it was fair to say you had gone out of touch.
“Great. We just bought a house actually.” She answered. “Wow, Dani, that’s amazing!” “Yeah, yeah, whatever, I want to hear more about this special person you were talking about on stage!” She quickly exclaimed. You rolled your eyes, but you knew she wasn’t just going to drop this. “All right, so there’s this girl.” You started, sitting down on a hallway bench, tapping the empty spot next to you. “Her name is Alessia, she is the kindest person in the world and she is breathtakingly beautiful.” You couldn’t help but smile as you talked about her. Dani sat herself down next to you. “Wow, Y/N/N, you’re head over heals in love with this girl, aren’t you?” Dani said as she teasingly poked your sides, making you giggle and blush.
When she stopped your smile quickly turned into a small frown, as you remembered your current situation. “Hey, what’s wrong?” Dani asked. You and her used to be inseparable when you were younger, getting through childhood and puberty together, always side by side. So even though you didn’t talk much these days, she knew you through and through and she immediately noticed something was off. You sighed before talking her through your current situation. When you were done she pulled you into a tight hug. “I’m sorry, Y/N.” “Sorry for what?” You asked, slightly confused. “Sorry for what I’m about to say.” She said, swallowing hard before she continued. “I’m going to be real with you Y/N/N, this situation is not healthy. I get that you made a mistake, and that you feel that you have no say in all of this because of it, but it sounds like there is no room for you to breathe in this relationship. It seems to me like hardly any progress has been made so far. I can tell that you love her Y/N, and I get wanting to fight for her, but what’s the use of fighting if there’s no prospect of ever winning.” She blurted out, taking you aback. “No, no there’s definitely progress, I- I think.” You sputtered out. “I- she- we just need more time, I promise.” She looked at you with a pitiful expression as you tried to brush off her words. “I erm- I have to go, I’m sorry. Good night Dani. I’ll see you soon okay?” You didn’t let her answer as you speed walked towards the exit.
As you stood outside in the cold air, you finally fully processed what Danielle had just expressed to you. Could she be right? Were you fighting a hopeless fight? You took out your phone to check the time and you noticed a text from Alessia, telling you she went home about fifteen minutes ago. “Shit.” You sighed, as you quickly left the venue to drive to her place.
It took a while for her to answer, but she eventually let you into her house. It wasn’t a warm welcome either, as she acted cold and distant. “So I take it you didn’t like me playing your song?” You asked, with a slight tone of sarcasm. Alessia didn’t answer, instead just staring at a wall as she stiffly sat on her couch. “I’m sorry Less, I really thought I could make a small gesture by now, but that’s my bad, from now on I’ll refrain from taking any initiative at all.” You tried to be sincere but there was audible resentment in your voice. “No, Y/N, that’s not what this is about.” She muttered, still not looking at you. “Then what is it? Did I make you wait for too long? I’m sorry for having other people to talk to Less. I am really trying here, so so hard, trying to do everything perfectly for you.” You said now standing in front of her, causing her to look up at you.
“Who is she?” She asked out of nowhere. “Who is who?” “That girl you were talking to backstage. Ella saw you two flirting, getting all touchy.” You couldn’t believe her and you felt a fire inside you ignite at the accusatory question. “You still don’t trust me one bit do you?” You raised your voice in astonishment. “Well how can I if I find out you’re flirting with some random groupie at your concert?” “Oh my god Less, I wasn’t-” “Oh shut it,” she interrupted you, “she saw you, I knew you hadn’t changed.” “Excuse me?” You exclaimed, flabbergasted, to which she just scoffed. “That was my cousin, and last time I checked, I’m not from Alabama nor are we in Game of Thrones.” You said, frantically pacing the room. “Oh.” She said, suddenly staring at the floor. “Sorry, that’s my bad.” It was your turn to scoff now.
“It’s just that Ella said-” “Less,” you interrupted her, “it’s been three months. Are you ever going to trust me again?” You seemed to have startled her with that question as she kept her gaze on the floor. You dropped to you knees, kneeling before her to force her to look at you, as you really wanted an answer this time. “I- I really want to, Y/N, but I am honestly not sure.” She finally blurted out. “Are you really not sure, or just in denial?” You asked coldly, to which she threw her hands in the air. “You’re putting me on the spot here Y/N, I don’t know what to say.” She said desperately.
“We can’t keep going like this, it’s not healthy. I get it, I fucked up, I told you I’d do anything to fix it, but this isn’t fixing it, is it? Me running after you like some obedient puppy, waiting for you to give me any sign that I’m good enough. I can’t keep doing that, not if nothing changes.” You finally let out, tears welling up in your eyes. She dropped her head in her hands. “Y/N, I’m sorry, I just need more time.” She muttered from inside her hands. “I need to know there’s at least some progress, that we’re on the right track.” You said, still trying to get an answer out of her, but she remained quiet. “But there isn’t any, is there? We’re just running in circles at this point. Tell me right now that this is going somewhere Less.” You said, grabbing her hands away from her face, forcing her to look at you again. The sight was brutal, she clearly had been sobbing underneath the hands that were covering her face.
“I- I don’t know what to tell you Y/N/N.” She said quietly, followed by a silence in which both of you shared regretful expressions, tears streaming down your faces as you looked into each others eyes. “It’s okay Less, I get it, trust is hard to repair. If anything, I am to blame for breaking it in the first place. So it’s okay, really. It’s not your fault.” You said, still holding on to her hands. “What are you saying?” She said, a defeated look on her face. “Goodbye, Alessia. Thank you for everything, and again, I am really sorry.” You pulled her into a tight embrace as tears still streamed down your face.
As you got into your car you texted Danielle to come over, and when you arrived at your place, she was already there waiting for you. “Y/N what happened?” She asked as you dragged your body inside, almost collapsing on the doormat. “Oh Y/N/N, it’s okay, come here.” She softly grabbed your wrist and she laid you down on the couch, she herself laying down behind you holding you in a tight embrace as you started sobbing uncontrollably. You wanted to rip your heart out of your chest as you felt lighting bolts of sorrow repeatedly strike it with a crushing ache. “It’s okay, I’ve got you.” Dani whispered from behind you, softly caressing your hair. “I’ve got you, Y/N.”
“I’ve got you.”
