anyways not to pull out the “I’m literally neurodivergent and a minor” card but I honestly something makes the whole Discourse™️ thing in this fandom extra funny for me is the fact that I’m a minor (or at least will be for two more months lmao) and most of the people I see arguing all the time are like. grown ass adults in their 20s and 30s. like I’m sorry but isn’t it my job to be annoying and immature on the internet?? and y’all’s job to mind ur own business and be normal???? I think someone missed a memo here like don’t y’all have taxes to do or something 🤨 stop writing 2k+ word discourse posts online and go grocery shopping girl. your bread is literally growing mold as we speak

hello hello,
sorry bc this is a bit long and I got a bit carried away
But basically all my life i thought my home life was super great but looking back on it, it was nice but some slightly (only slightly) questionable stuff [I want to clarify that it’s nothing physical but some of it was a little bit fucked up like I have one stand out memory but also I may have made it up bc idk sometimes I’m super sure it happened and sometimes I’m not] went down and now i notice more and more my parents making sexist/homophobic/transphobic jokes and offhand comments and then getting annoyed and yelling at me whenever I try and tell them they’re wrong. I also sort of noticed that they’re a bit too pushy and invasive of my privacy [especially my mother who loves to offload her problems onto me and has since I was pretty small and would just barge into my room at any time and tell me about them and I understand communication is important in families but I don’t think 9 is a good age for your mother to regularly be crying to you about how suicidal she feels but she always acted like it was a good thing so I assumed it was too idk] and it’s like half the time they treat me like I’m way younger than I am [late teen] and the other half of the time it’s like they expect me to be a mature adult and like I just want to be my actual age yk but I can’t and tbh I don’t even know how to go about doing that now bc I feel like I’ve sort of been stifled and the thing is I’m not sure how I should actually be feeling about the whole thing because I don’t think they’re actually really bad people [my parents] and I end up feeling guilty about the fact that I just don’t want to talk to them anymore [especially my mum] and like ik people who have way worse home lives than me and I feel like it’s being a bit selfish to complain bc sure they make problematic jokes but I don’t think they’d necessarily treat me worse if I came out [non-binary and pan] but also I don’t think they’d be that great about it like my brother came out as bi and they were like ok but then one time when he was away they were talking about ‘if he gets a girlfriend’ and I said ‘or a boyfriend bc he’s bi’ and they were like ‘yeah he’s bi but he’s only ever really shown interest in girls so we doubt he’s actually bi but I mean if he got a boyfriend we’d be fine with it’ and I was like on the one hand like it could be worse but it still didn’t sit right with me that they just casually assumed he was lying about it even tho he’d literally come out…
also I sort of don’t even want to come out atp to them I just want to sort of quietly cut ties or distance myself
so I sort of tried to do that [as much as I can yk being still a minor and living at home] but now I’ve got my mum not so subtly idk tryna guilt trip me. Like she’ll say shit about how I used to talk to her and now I never do and like there’s a fucking reason [I now actually have friends who I realised I feel way more comfortable around] but ok
Like a while back she came to my room and tried to do the usual complaining thing about how she’s v depressed and all and I tried to respectfully tell her she needs therapy and she got super upset with me and started crying and stormed out my room and then she came back later and tried again and I told her like as nicely as I could that I can’t handle this bc I am just a kid yk as nice as possible I cannot handle my shit let alone yours like my mental health is not great rn and like I want to be there for the ppl in my life not feeling good but also like she’s been doing this since I was pretty small and there’s literally no way I can really support her except spending more time with her maybe but then that’s bad for my mental health especially bc she’ll do offhand shit that she knows I don’t like [like I have sensory issues bc I’m neurodivergent and having a hand put on my shoulder for some reason I just ugh it’s the worst - and ever since she noticed that I would pull away she’s started doing it more and every time I pull away she makes jokes about how she must have ‘a disease or something’ and just UGH sorry it infuriates me]
so basically [sorry for the suuuper long ask] I’m not sure what the right thing to do is, like do I try and remedy the relationship with my parents [but especially my mum] or do I just sort of keep going like this till I’m at uni or what?
again sorry this is way too long
Hi love! First of all, I wanna give a TW to people reading:
TW: mentions of suicidal thoughts
Okay, I'm gonna take this one section at a time:
But basically all my life i thought my home life was super great but looking back on it, it was nice but some slightly (only slightly) questionable stuff [I want to clarify that it’s nothing physical but some of it was a little bit fucked up like I have one stand out memory but also I may have made it up bc idk sometimes I’m super sure it happened and sometimes I’m not]
Okay chances are you're not making it up. Thinking you're making it up is a super common symptom of guilt trips and gaslighting. If you think it happened...it probably did.
went down and now i notice more and more my parents making sexist/homophobic/transphobic jokes and offhand comments and then getting annoyed and yelling at me whenever I try and tell them they’re wrong.
This is NOT okay of them. They're being disrespectful.
I also sort of noticed that they’re a bit too pushy and invasive of my privacy [especially my mother who loves to offload her problems onto me and has since I was pretty small and would just barge into my room at any time and tell me about them and I understand communication is important in families but I don’t think 9 is a good age for your mother to regularly be crying to you about how suicidal she feels but she always acted like it was a good thing so I assumed it was too idk]
Uhm hi hello hi. NO. No no no. This is NOT okay. Parents do NOT tell their children about their suicidal feelings. Absolutely not. This is a classic example of parentification. You, even as a teenager, are the CHILD. You are NOT responsible for your parents, and you should not feel any sort of pressure to help with their wellbeing. Nope.
and it’s like half the time they treat me like I’m way younger than I am [late teen] and the other half of the time it’s like they expect me to be a mature adult and like I just want to be my actual age yk but I can’t and tbh I don’t even know how to go about doing that now bc I feel like I’ve sort of been stifled and the thing is I’m not sure how I should actually be feeling about the whole thing
yup. parentification. You've been expected to take on the role of a parent when convenient and act like a child when convenient. this is not okay and you're absolutely right to feel weird and bad and resentful about it.
because I don’t think they’re actually really bad people [my parents]
And here's the thing: that can also be true. A lot of times, parents can both love you/be good people AND unintentionally be hurtful. But in a way, that can be even more difficult because like...how do you explain to someone who thinks they're not being hurtful that they ARE?
and I end up feeling guilty about the fact that I just don’t want to talk to them anymore [especially my mum] and like ik people who have way worse home lives than me and I feel like it’s being a bit selfish to complain bc sure they make problematic jokes but I don’t think they’d necessarily treat me worse if I came out [non-binary and pan] but also I don’t think they’d be that great about it like my brother came out as bi and they were like ok but then one time when he was away they were talking about ‘if he gets a girlfriend’ and I said ‘or a boyfriend bc he’s bi’ and they were like ‘yeah he’s bi but he’s only ever really shown interest in girls so we doubt he’s actually bi but I mean if he got a boyfriend we’d be fine with it’ and I was like on the one hand like it could be worse but it still didn’t sit right with me that they just casually assumed he was lying about it even tho he’d literally come out… also I sort of don’t even want to come out atp to them I just want to sort of quietly cut ties or distance myself so I sort of tried to do that [as much as I can yk being still a minor and living at home] but now I’ve got my mum not so subtly idk tryna guilt trip me. Like she’ll say shit about how I used to talk to her and now I never do and like there’s a fucking reason [I now actually have friends who I realised I feel way more comfortable around] but ok Like a while back she came to my room and tried to do the usual complaining thing about how she’s v depressed and all and I tried to respectfully tell her she needs therapy and she got super upset with me and started crying and stormed out my room and then she came back later and tried again and I told her like as nicely as I could that I can’t handle this bc I am just a kid yk as nice as possible I cannot handle my shit let alone yours like my mental health is not great rn and like I want to be there for the ppl in my life not feeling good but also like she’s been doing this since I was pretty small and there’s literally no way I can really support her except spending more time with her maybe but then that’s bad for my mental health especially bc she’ll do offhand shit that she knows I don’t like [like I have sensory issues bc I’m neurodivergent and having a hand put on my shoulder for some reason I just ugh it’s the worst - and ever since she noticed that I would pull away she’s started doing it more and every time I pull away she makes jokes about how she must have ‘a disease or something’ and just UGH sorry it infuriates me]
This is what I'm saying: it's super difficult to convince someone they're being hurtful when they truly think they aren't. Trust me, my mother is the same way. But you aren't wrong for wanting to distance yourself. Also, don't compare yourself to other people. You have a DIFFERENT home life, not necessarily a better or worse one.
so basically [sorry for the suuuper long ask] I’m not sure what the right thing to do is, like do I try and remedy the relationship with my parents [but especially my mum] or do I just sort of keep going like this till I’m at uni or what? again sorry this is way too long
Don't be sorry! I guess the first thing I'd say is, all of your feelings are valid, and this sounds super difficult. I'm sorry you have to go through it <3. Here's the thing: You are right. There are some things going on in your house that aren't okay. But the reality is, your mom doesn't seem to be willing to hear your opinion about changing them. SO, where do you go from here?
I think the two major things I've had to learn with my (very similar) mother is:
Set boundaries and stick to them. If she's dumping on you and you can't handle it, tell her it's not okay. Keep politely telling her this. There is NOTHING WRONG with doing this, even if she tells you otherwise.
Take what you can get, but don't get your hopes up. Does she want to take you out to lunch? Great. She wants to hang out after school? Awesome. But don't...rely on her to be more than she is.
If you're able to do these two things in a healthy way, this might be your best bet until you turn of age and you're able to reevaluate if you want a long-term relationship or not. But honestly, if you're financially dependent on her, separating from her completely might not be the best idea if you are safe.
The ONLY thing that makes me nervous about this whole situation is your mention of your mom's suicidal thoughts, so I'll leave you with this:
if your mom is scaring you with the way she is talking, call the authorities. You are a minor, and you should NEVER have to deal with that on your own.
No matter what happens, no matter WHAT your mom does, no matter what you do or don't say/do or don't do, your mother's decisions are her own. Nothing she does is your fault.
If you feel comfortable, please DM me! I'm being genuine when I say our moms sound similar, and I would love to talk more <3
P.s. I just want to say that, you are SO smart, as a teenager, to realize that this behavior is not okay. Good for you <3

Ushijima
You were having the worst week this week,  from battling a cold and your boss making you do all sorts of extra jobs (that were definitely not under your job description.) As easter was swiftly approaching you and Ushijima had your annual plans of going to the local kids community center and helping them with an easter egg hunt. But you don’t think you can manage it this year.
Ushijima gets home from practice with 4 bags just filled with easter eggs ranging from all different sizes, “woah there Toshi, you’ve got enough there too feed all of england” you laugh
“I don’t think these eggs will be able to sustain England Y/N” he says seriously making you laugh even harder. As you were laughing, you felt another migraine come along making your cringe in pain. “Toshi, I don’t think I can do the easter egg hunt this year?”
He sits down next to you alarmed that something is wrong, “why what happened Y/N” he asks
“I’ve been feeling terrible all week, and I even have a migraine right now” you say to him thinking he would understand.
“That’s it?” he questions thinking what you said was a joke “I think you can handle a migraine, remember we’re doing this for the kids”
His words were making you feel slightly guilty since maybe you were being over dramatic. “Y/N if it’s really ‘that bad’, i’ll make you some tea so you can feel better,” he says going into the kitchen to start on your tea. You murmur a quiet “thank you” and you end up falling asleep, hoping that by the time you wake up your head stops pounding.
As you wake up, you realise you slept all the way through the night and over to the next day as when you look at your clock it says 12:32 pm. You look at your nightstand and saw that Ushijima wrote you a note saying:
Y/N I've left out early to set out the easter egg hunt, I’ve made you breakfast so eat up and get prepared for the event which starts at 4pm. Please don’t forget.
Sincerely – Ushijima Wakatoshi.
You chuckle at the fondness of the note, before realising your pain. Your brain felt like it was having a live concert inside that definitely was not going to end soon but you still got up prepared for the day. You didn’t want to let Ushijima or the kids down.
When you go to the kitchen , you see the cute breakfast that Ushijima made you consisting of all of your favourite foods and with another simple note of him saying ‘ I love you. ‘ Ushijima has always been a lovely boyfriend, treating you like the queen you are always making sure that you were okay. Of course, his bluntness and his lack of social cues was something to get used to but when you did get accustomed to it, it only made you fall in love with him more.
You got ready, feeling even more sick as the piping hot shower that you usual have, did not help as when you were showering you felt heavily faint. However, you persevered since you did not want to let Ushijima down.
You finally were prepared to leave the house, with the community center being on 15 minutes walk away you were leaving out at 3:50pm since you were planning to take your car anyways. When you leave your home, you realise that you forgot your car keys so you dash up the stairs (a bit too quickly) to go and find them. Scrambling through your draws, your head is pounding harder and harder and the more it pounds the quicker your moving making you even more faint. You eventually find your keys and you’re ready to zoom to the community center but your body gave out and you pass out tumbling down the stairs landing at your front door.
Ushijima was waiting outside of the community center waiting for you to arrive it was 4:05pm and he was wondering where you were (knowing that your place was only a 10 minute drive away) he sent you a few texts asking where you were but when you don’t respond Ushijima becomes slightly annoyed, plastering a fake smile on his face and entering the community center, starting the easter egg hunt.
The easter egg hunt came to a close at 8pm and Ushijima assumed that you would’ve showed up some time in the middle of the event, but you obviously didn’t show. After making sure that all the kids left safely Ushijima decided to call and text you more and when you continuously don’t respond and your calls go to voicemail he says ‘Y/N, im really disappointed with you right now. How could you do this to me? You said you would show up, the kids were really upset, how could you be so selfish?’
He walks to your house knocking on the door, but when you don’t immediately answer he knew something must be up now, since you haven’t responded to any of his texts and calls and didn’t show up he figured there was something deeper then you just ditching the event.
He used his key to open the door, surprised when the door hit something. He tried again hitting the ‘object’ that was laying at the door again. He carefully pushes the door to make enough room for him to fit through the gap. When he entered, he was startled at the sight of you, there you lay completely knocked out with a blood stain next to your head. He knelt down next to you and touched your cheek you were extremely cold, he had to get you to a hospital stat. He called an ambulance, panicked. Worrying about how long you’ve been out for since it would have to be atleast more than 4 hours he assumed.
You woke up in a foreign room, with your head slightly stinging. You place your hand on the back of your head and wince, then you remember you need to be at the easter egg hunt so you bolt up ready to move.
“I don’t think that’s wise for you to do that Y/N” Ushijima says to you
“Toshi, what happened?” you ask still in pain
“It seems you fell down the stairs and hit your head” after he said that all your memories come flooding back, and you remember rushing to the community centre, looking for your keys, and then falling down the stairs and everything going black.
“I’m sorry Ushi for missing the easter egg hunt, I really tried to get there,” you say with an apologetic look on your face
“It’s fine Y/N of course you wouldn’t of been able to get there after falling down the stairs” he says “Also, this is proof of why you shouldn’t run down the stairs”
You eventually get discharged with the doctor telling you all you need to do is rest and stay off your feet. Ushijima took the doctor's orders very seriously, becoming your loyal servant and waiting on you hand and foot, tending to your every need. He did also make you were eating healthy and taking all your medicine so you could have the best recovery possible.
Also, after realising that this could’ve all been avoided if Ushijima didn’t guilt trip you in the first place for having a migraine, he made sure to never ignore or dismiss when you say you are ill or have anything wrong with you even if it’s a migraine, a lost limb or a simple paper cut.

Bokuto
The Olympics were coming up and Bokuto couldn’t be any more excited than he already was. Everything he’s talked about for the past month he manages to find a way to relate to the Olympics, and as annoying as it got sometimes you were just as excited for it as much as Bokuto was.
Bokuto was heavily busy with extra practices so you were bored and lonely, since your boyfriend was at practice all the time so you chose to take up a new hobby. You decided to paint, although you weren’t an award-winning painter you still found joy in it. Being Bokuto’s girlfriend you had some slight unwanted attention on you: the usual fans of Bokuto that just followed you to have an extra aspect of him in their life's, or his fangirls that adored him.
You didn’t mind the fangirls for the most part since majority of them were pretty tamed and did fawn over your relationship. However, there was the minority of fans that did make it known to you that they DID NOT like you at all. When you started posting your paintings, it seems their hate for you amplified since they always found the need to leave an astray of mean comments on your post. But that didn’t mainly bother you since you thought that they only had that energy behind the screen.
The days went by getting closer to the Olympics, with Bokuto always asking you every day “Y/N you are coming to my games, right?” to which you always replied “Of course Kou, I’m coming” which always made him smile.
When the Olympics came, you’ve went to all the games cheering Bokuto and the team on as they were winning round after round. Whilst this was going on, the group of girls that were sending you horrible messages and making mean posts about you weren’t stopping. At first, you didn’t care for them but it seems their posts only gotten worse making comments about your artwork, your face, your body type ect.
You didn’t want to tell Bokuto as you felt that it would ruin his Olympic momentum and you thought you could handle it all on your own.
It was nearing to the final game of the Olympics, and Bokuto was ecstatic he made sure that you promised you’d be there claiming that you was his ‘good luck’ charm.’ You were excited to go too, the feeling of watching Bokuto play was exhilarating seeing him fully in his element was great for you to see.
On the last game day, Boktuo was already at the stadium since him and the team had to be there earlier to practice and you planned to meet him there just before the game started at 4:30. You went to a florist before the match getting Bokuto the biggest boquet that you could buy.
On your way to the stadium you here somebody whistle from behind you, you turn around and see a group of girls waiting behind you smirking. “Hi?” you say more like a question then a statement “do you want something from me?”
Some of them laugh, but the one standing at the front who you mentally lable the ‘main one’ steps closer to you and says “We want you to stay away from Bokuto” you realise that these were the girls sending you hate online for these past weeks.
Before you can even blink, the girls jump you, hitting, kicking and clawing at you. You are in pain, screaming and crying for them to stop and leave you alone. You lay there, letting them beat you up thinking that you’ll probably end up dead out of this. All you can think about is Bokuto, you didn’t get to wish him good luck, or give him your flowers (that you spent a fortune on) or even tell him that you loved him one last time.
You think the girls eventually stopped but you couldn’t tell because your body was throbbing and you hurt all over. You tried to get up still wanting to go to the match but you collapse going out cold.
Bokuto was scanning the crowd over and over for you, hoping to spot you there. But he couldn’t, he was wondering where you were getting sadder and sadder by the second since he really believed you were his good luck charm and he probably wouldn’t be able to win without at least seeing your face once.
They didn’t win. Bokuto knew he wasn’t playing at his best, since all his mind was on was thinking about where you were. You’ve never missed one of his games, so he was incredibly worried. After he accepted his second-place medal, he rushed out the stadium to go to your house but he was stopped by some fangirls ‘I guess signing autographs is the least I can do’ he thinks, the fans were being a bit odd today but he didn’t have time to focus on that as his mind was racing thinking about you and your whereabouts.
One of his fans did give him an alarmingly big boquet of roses which he appreciated ‘these must of cost a fortune’ he thinks. Although it was a probably a long shot, he decided to ask the fan if he saw someone who looked like *whatever you look like* to maybe see if someone else saw you. Which the fan replied “yeah I saw them with some guy at this restaurant whilst we were going to see you!” they exclaimed.
‘A guy’ he thought ‘that most likely wasn’t you.’ Seeing Bokuto’s confusion, the fan followed up with “I'm pretty sure it was her I mean we all know who Bokuto Koutaro’s girlfriend was.” Bokuto didn’t reply just walking away making sure to thank them for the flowers.
He was rushing towards your house on foot (since all the taxi’s and ubers were fully booked because of the Olympics) whilst running he stumbles across your passed out body all black and bruised with scratch marks and bleeding all over you. “what happened” he whispered, knowing you obviously weren’t going to respond.
He picked up your near-dead body, and cradled you in his arms taking you back to the stadium (since he knew that getting an ambulance to come here or running to the hospital would basically be impossible.) When he got back to the stadium, he did get odd looks from strangers but he didn’t care, his only agenda was making sure you were okay.
You woke up, and saw Bokuto pacing the room repeatedly you tried to get his attention by saying his name but your throat was damaged. He eventually notices you and runs to your side, stroking your face softly and giving you a gentle hug making sure not to hurt you.
“Who did this Y/N?” he asks with worry in his eyes
You ignore his question and look at the silver medal wrapped around his neck making you sad “I’m sorry I didn’t make it to the match, I tried I really did try” you said with your voice sounding even worse after you said every word.
“Don’t be silly, I’m just glad that you’re okay babe, I was really worried about you.” he said
The Medic came in and said that you had multiple broken ribs, but beside that you were fine you just needed to rest your throat and let your bruises heal. You eventually told Bokuto that it was some of his fans, he was upset that you hid this from him for so long but he was just glad that he got to you as soon as he did. He managed to play at the next Olympics and you were there fully present, with your even bigger boquet of flowers watching win gold.

Stubborn
Genre: Fluff, hurt? a little angsty? Idk. you tell me ;)
Request: Yes
Word count: 1135
Warnings: Swearing, mention of drugs, injury, blood (I think that's it but lemme know if any more should be added)
This is the request: May i humbly request a Natasha x reader where R comes back from a mission all messed up and doesn’t want any help. R hides their injuries from the team but Natasha can see something is up. Later that evening, she tries to talk to R but they are stubborn and shouts they want to be left alone! Suddenly the reader starts coughing up blood due to internal bleeding and collapses. A worried Natasha screams for help while holding R. Feelings are confessed after R wakes up at hospital. Happy ending!
A/N: I hope this is what you wanted anon!
The mission had gone okay. It was a success for all intent and purposes and on paper, it looked like the perfect mission. Perhaps the paper should talk to your definitely bruised ribs and chest. Unfortunately, Stark's newest 'shock absorbent' fabric was more shock and less absorbent. You'd have to let him know that this was nowhere near the finished product he had promised. You'd do that tomorrow though. Right now, all you wanted to do was curl up in bed and sleep the pain off. When the medics came to check you over, you waved them away, saying that you'd had worse and a bottle of painkillers would do just fine. You were hoping to just slink in unnoticed, have an extremely hot shower, followed by an even hotter bath and then pass out on your bed.
This did not happen.
Bless your team, you really did love them but when Stark decided today would be the perfect day to throw a little 'Congrats on doing so well' party, you wanted to scream. The only saving grace was that it was just the team attending.
The adrenaline had slowly begun to wear off and as you watched Peter's mouth move incredibly fast about a topic you didn't have the strength to listen to, you suddenly felt very faint.
"Sorry Peter, I think I had a little too much to drink. I just need to get some air."
"Oh sure - I'm sorry y/n - I completely forgot - you must be so tired from your mission and-"
You patted his shoulder tiredly and moved away before he could draw you back in with another conversation. Little did you know that a certain redhead's eyes hadn't left you since you came in.
"and then that's when- Natasha are you even listening to me?"
"Yes. And that's when you saved the kitten from the tree. Now if you'll excuse me. I think I need some air."
"But I was talking about the time Morgan gave me a makeover." Tony sulked. The sulk was abruptly replaced with a smirk when he realised who else 'needed some air'.
When Natasha made her way to the balcony, you had your back turned to her and were coughing. Your coughing fit stopped and you pulled your hand away only to see tiny red spots.
"Shit."
"I didn't know my company was that undesirable y/l/n." Natasha made her way next to you, leaning against the railing.
"Tasha! How've you been?" You nudged her and tried to wipe the blood into your hand.
"I'm pretty sure I should be asking you that question. Did you even go to medical before coming here?"
"Umm yes? Maybe?" Natasha gave you a look "Okay, no. I didn't. But it's not even that bad okay? Just some minor bruising. It's not like the time I got shot!" Even as the words left your lips, you could feel yourself slowing down, moving your mouth just took too much effort. That's when you were sent into another coughing fit.
"Y/n, we are going to the medical bay right now." Natasha looped her arm around your waist and tried to ignore the warm feeling she got by being so close to you. Now wasn't the time.
"Get off me, Natasha." You pushed her away and leant on the wall. "I don't need your help. I'm perfectly fine. I just-" You shook your head quickly, trying to clear the fog that was infecting your brain. "I just need to sleep." Apparently, sleep came a lot quicker than you expected because your vision suddenly went black.
Natasha's heart dropped. She didn't know what to do. She caught you before you fell to the ground but after that, she was frozen. She snapped out of her fear-induced haze and shouted for help. She didn't care how she looked, she just needed you to be okay.
~~~~~
An annoying beeping woke you up. "5 more minutes and ugh, turn that light off."
A low chuckle rumbled out, indicating that you were not alone. "Detka, I can't turn off the sun." Although Natasha would have surely tried to.
"Tasha" You reached your hand out and slowly peeled your eyes open. "What happened."
That was the wrong thing to say because her face switched from being concerned to pissed off.
"You didn't go to medical when I told you to." Her voice was low and dangerous. You had never been afraid of Natasha but right now, you weren't so sure you were going to make it out unscathed.
"I really didn't think it was that bad..." You at least had the humility to look a little guilty.
"You had internal bleeding Y/n. How is that 'not that bad'?"
"Okay so maybe it was a little worse than I thought but you're not exactly one to talk." You were offended that she had the audacity to shout at you when you remember multiple occasions of her walking around with bullet wounds just because she wanted to have a shower instead of being fixed up.
Natasha scoffed. "That's different."
"How. How is that different Natasha? Do you think I like having to find out that you're bleeding out because you refuse to go and get stitched up?"
"It's different because I care about you."
"Wow. You're saying I don't care about you? News flash Natasha - you're one of a few who I actually trust and care about."
"That's not what I-" You cut her off
"No no. I'm glad we cleared this up."
"If you would just lis-"
"You know I really thought we had something special Tash. Nice to know our movie nights were meaningless."
"THAT'S THE THING! Our movie nights weren't meaningless. They just meant more to me than they did to you. I came straight back from missions just to see your face Y/n. I didn't want to go to medical because I wanted to get to you as fast as possible. When you fell to the floor I realised I had to tell you. I've been sitting on this for far too long and today made me realise that. The thing is Y/n, I like you. Like a lot. So much that when I think of my future you're the only thing in it."
"I-" You didn't know what to say. The painkillers they gave you were pretty strong and words weren't being your friend at the moment. "I really like you too."
Natasha's lips reached yours and the kiss was slow and gentle, almost as if you were both afraid that if it was too passionate, it would break.
"I would really like to continue this but I'm on so many drugs Snoop would be jealous."
Natasha kissed your head "We'll continue this when you've come down off your high then."
That’s the thing about a/b/o; it’s such a good vehicle for certain kinks. I’m just going to go with the first half of the list and say Tsukkiyama… any of: 6, 11, 14, 19 or 28.
Any, some, all or none! Up to you!
All of your fics are great!
This is exactly my thought. I picked two of the ones you sent from the prompt list, feel free to send more if you want!
6. Alpha voice 14. Claim fuck
Here’s the ao3 link
- MINORS DNI -
Tsukishima Kei is not prone to letting his emotions or his instincts get the best of him. It’s tiring, and just not worth it most of the time. Often, this isn’t an issue; he doesn’t feel anything too strongly, and he’s not exactly eager to get into just any omega’s pants, so even when an omega goes into heat in public he’s able to keep a level head. He doesn’t feel that primal urge inside himself to claim, to mate-
Or, at least, for the most part. It’s becoming more of an issue lately, and it’s frustrating. He doesn’t know what it is, but lately whenever he finds himself out with friends, he’s just the slightest bit annoyed, just a little more prone to snapping back. He chalks it up to just having outgrown the idea of going out every weekend now that he’s an adult with a job, and yet whenever a certain childhood friend of his asks him to come out he does without hesitation.
...Which leads to his other issue.
Yamaguchi Tadashi has always been a soft spot for Kei, he’s always wanted to protect him- ever since they first became friends in elementary school. Now that they’ve long since graduated highschool, and recently college, however, it’s becoming increasingly obvious that Kei’s soft spot for Tadashi is more than he lets on. And Tadashi has always been naïve, but it’s never been more aggravating to get him out of the situations he manages to get himself in when he’s a little tipsy. And Yamaguchi likes to let loose on the weekends.
And letting loose he is.
Kei hadn’t even wanted to go out tonight. He was barely leaving the museum when his phone rang, the caller ID reading Kuroo’s phone number, and he’d immediately rejected the call. However, not even two seconds later he received a text with the simple words: “We have freckles with us already so you might as well just come over now instead of fighting it.” So he did. And that familiar annoyance and quick temper has returned, only fueled by the loud music bumping in the over-crowded club that Bokuto and Kuroo dragged his omega to-
There it is again. Yamaguchi isn’t his. He isn’t Kei’s, and he knows this. Even still, in his head, he calls him that. He doesn’t know when he that started, just that he never stopped, and he doesn’t see any harm in it; after all, anyone who’s spent more than a few hours with them can clearly see Kei’s laid his claim on Yamaguchi even if he hasn’t actually marked him. Or even tried to court him. His influence is all over, however, from the clothes Kei buys him just so he can scent them before he gifts them to the fading hickeys Yamaguchi asks Kei to give him before they go out to deter alphas from hitting on him when they’re clubbing.
Even still, those only seem to work if the other person knows them, and isn’t some stranger in the club. To strangers, Kei’s scent and the hickeys he peppers on Yamaguchi’s neck are just hints of a promiscuous omega, a tease who gets busy with more than one person in one night- and they tend to get angry when their advances are rejected by a “slut.”
Kei doesn’t know when he lost Yamaguchi, just that he’s been increasingly more annoyed by his other friends as they progressively get drunker. And so he does what he usually does when he gets fed up with them: goes to find Yamaguchi so he can leave. It takes a long moment to find him, and when he does, he doesn’t like what he finds.
He can’t hear over the music and the loud conversations surrounding them, but he can see the snarl on the alpha’s face as he leans far too close to Yamaguchi. The omega -his omega- is leaning as far away as he can, but his back is pressed against the wall with nowhere else to go. It takes three seconds to get from the bar to where they are, just in time for the alpha to reach a hand up Yamaguchi’s skirt and promptly get punched in the jaw by Yamaguchi. Immediately the area around them clears around them so Kei can step in between them.
“You bit-”
The alpha goes to punch back, but freezes when he sees Kei standing there. “You’d really punch an omega that just hit you so hard you had those cartoon birds flying around your head? That’s kind of pathetic, man.”
“Who are you, this little slut’s babysitter? Why don’t you tell ‘im to-”
“I’d stop right there, or I’ll let him loose on you again. Do you want an omega to knock you out?”
The alpha growls, but he backs off, flicking them off once more before he disappears into the crowd. Kei turns to Yamaguchi as the people immediately around them dissolve back into the club mentality, ignoring the two as soon as the drama is over. When Kei turns around, Yamaguchi’s fist is still clenched, skirt ridden up just the slightest, and he’s shaking.
“Yamaguchi, let’s go.”
“What? I- I’m fine, Tsukki. Let’s just go find the others,”
“I just left them, I was coming to find you anyway.”
“But I wanna stay,”
“And get groped by some stranger again? I don’t think so.” Kei says.
Yamaguchi huffs. “Come on Tsukki, please? I barely have a buzz, I-”
“And if you get any drunker, you’re gonna get taken advantage of by some random alpha.”
“And what if I want that?”
“I- What?” Kei’s eyes narrow and he glares at Yamaguchi, stepping closer to him. “You’re okay with just anyone taking you home? What if one of them marks you? What if they get you pregnant?”
Yamaguchi crosses his arms and glares right back. “And what if they do? It’s not like you are.”
Something in Kei snaps then, and he growls, taking Yamaguchi by the wrist and pulling him against his chest. He isn’t one to use his alpha status above an omega, but he can’t help himself as he commands Yamaguchi with his alpha voice, “We’re leaving. Now.”
Yamaguchi doesn’t protest as Kei drags him out of the club, and Kei ignores the whoops and hollers from a drunk Bokuto and Kuroo, both of whom are trying to reign in a drunk Hinata before he climbs onto the bar and shows all of Sendai the dance moves he’d learned in Brazil. Once out of the club, his senses sharpen and he feels a bit better, but anger still boils in his chest as he drags Yamaguchi down the street and to the closest train station. After swiping their metro cards he takes Yamaguchi and pins him against the wall, kissing him roughly while they wait for their train.
“Is this what you wanted? Attention from me? Is that why you wore this little number and went off and almost got yourself groped in the club by whoever you could get to touch you so I would get jealous?”
“M- Maybe,” Yamaguchi murmurs against Kei’s lips, gasping when Kei’s knee slips between his thighs, arms hiding him from the rest of the underground station. “I was tired of your fucking pretending like there isn’t something between us, so I figured I’d give you a push. Is that so wrong?”
“It is when my omega is backed into a corner with a hand up his skirt by someone that’s not me.”
“So you admit I’m yours?”
“Of fucking course you are! When have you ever not been?” Yamaguchi swallows thickly, his wide-eyed gaze looking at Kei like he hung the goddamn moon, and Kei growls. “As soon as we get back to my place I’m fucking you so goddamn hard and you’re getting a bond mark right,” he nips at the junction of Yamaguchi’s neck and shoulder, “There. Understand? No one is going to mistake you for single after this.”
“Y- Yes, alpha.”
“That’s what I like to hear.” They continue to kiss while they wait, and once again when their train arrives. Once they reach their stop, Kei’s hand once again finds Yamaguchi’s wrist and he pulls him along, feeling a little guilty when he sees it’s bright red from being grabbed so roughly; it’ll definitely bruise before the night is over. He doesn’t have time to feel guilty, however, because Yamaguchi’s hand slips into Kei’s front pants pocket and pulls his keys out of it, unlocking his apartment and pushing him inside. Kei grins, pulling Yamaguchi by his collar into a kiss as they scramble to take their shoes off while still kissing. “Feisty now, huh?”
“Just impatient. I’ve been waiting for this moment since we were seventeen.”
Kei groans against Tadashi’s lips. “You mean I could’ve been fucking you since second year? That was six years ago,”
“I didn’t think you liked me back until, like, six months ago Tsukki! And I thought you would make the first move, since you’re an alpha.”
“You know I’m just as stubborn as you, did you really think I’d give up my pride and confess?”
“Hey, it’s not my fault you’re stupid. Now are you going to claim me or not?”
“You don’t have to ask twice,” Now out of their shoes, Kei lifts Tadashi and carries him down the hall to his bedroom. He has half the mind to fuck him right on the floor in the genkan, but he at least has the sense to make sure Yamaguchi is comfortable while he fucks his brains out. Once in his bedroom, he drops Yamaguchi on the bed, his hands fumbling with the buttons of his shirt. Yamaguchi pulls away just the slightest to pull his top off, wiggling out of his skirt while Kei shucks off his own shirt and begins undoing the buttons on his slacks. He growls when he sees Yamaguchi’s nearly naked form underneath him, the light pink boxer briefs damp and tenting his dick. “Fuck, you’re so gorgeous, you know that?”
“That’s coming from you? You’re a literal god, Kei.”
Something about Yamaguchi calling him by his given name screams to the primal side inside of Kei. Nipping at his lips, Kei’s hands find Yamaguchi’s hips and pulls them flush against his. “You’re so fucking hot. I’m going to make sure the only think you can say is my name.”
“Yes, please.” Yamaguchi whispers. Resisting the urge to rip Yamaguchi’s underwear, he slides it off as quickly and as gracelessly as possible, losing his cool immediately when the scent of slick unhidden by clothing hits his nose. He pulls away to get a good look at Yamaguchi totally naked, now, and he growls.
“You’re dripping. Have you been slicked up the whole way home, or did I just work you up in the few minutes we’ve been back home?”
“Th- The first option,”
"Well I’m going to treat you so good, don’t you worry. I know I could probably slip right in with how wet you are right now, but I’m gonna prep you, okay?”
“Okay.”
One of Kei’s hands spreads Yamaguchi’s thighs, the other moving to tease at his rim. Yamaguchi whines, his knees trying to close, and Kei nips at his jaw, keeping his legs spread with a firm grip. “Don’t hide yourself. I’m going to be seeing a while lot of you, so there’s no point in being shy.”
Whimpering, Tadashi nods slowly, and relaxes somewhat as Kei slips two fingers inside of his hole. Kei’s fingers are long and slim, and slip inside easily, slick coating them immediately. He probably didn’t even need to prepare the omega, because he’s reacting so well to Kei’s touch and opening up with little prodding; his little cock sits rock-hard and dripping, untouched, and Kei’s own cock twitches at the sight of the man in front of him. Yamaguchi gasps when Kei’s fingers shift inside of him and Kei grins, dragging his fingers over the same spot. He revels in the way Yamaguchi moans and whines, rolling his hips to get more stimulation.
“Fuck, Kei...N- Need you, now. Please. Please,”
Suddenly Kei’s confidence wanes and he hesitates, looking down at Yamaguchi. “I don’t want to hurt you, Tadashi.”
Yamaguchi groans. “I can take it, Tsukki. Come on, fuck me.”
“Right. Right, I’m going to fuck you and I’m going to claim you. Got it?”
“Got it.”
Kei slides his fingers out of Yamaguchi’s hole, positioning his member and pushing inside. As soon as the tip slips in he groans, pleasure overtaking him as he bottoms out with one quick thrust that brings out a loud cry from the omega underneath him. He growls, connecting their lips once more, as he fucks into Yamaguchi roughly. His hands wander Yamaguchi’s body, the omega reacting to his touch so well, his back arching off the bed. Kei sucks in every little sound, every little tightening around his cock, quickly losing control of himself.
“Fuck, Tadashi...You’re mine. I’m not going to let anyone touch you ever again, you’re mine and only mine, you understand?”
Yamaguchi keens, a shiver running down his spine, and nods. His hands, tangled in Kei’s hair, grips tighter with every thrust.
“If any other alpha even looks at you after this, I’m gonna fucking kill him.”
“Possessive of me already? You haven’t even- hn, you haven’t even marked me yet.”
“If you want to rush me, Tadashi, I can gladly make you cum faster, but I quite like this pace more,” Kei growls, thrusting harder, and he hears Yamaguchi’s breath hitch.
“F- Fuck, please, Kei, faster. Please. ‘m so close, so ready, plea-” Yamaguchi gasps, his eyes rolling to the back of his head, and Kei grins. He nips at Yamaguchi’s neck, right where he’s preparing to mark him, and reaches a hand down to stroke Yamaguchi’s dick. Yamaguchi reacts to the touch with a shout that will more than likely get Kei a noise complaint from his neighbors, but he doesn’t care one bit. Kei’s own orgasm builds closer and closer as he continues fucking into Yamaguchi ruthlessly, and he knows Yamaguchi is close by how much he starts to tighten around his cock.
“Tadashi...Tadashi, I’m gonna cum. I’m gonna fill you up so good, baby,” He pants, “You’re going to be full of my pups soon enough. I’m going to claim you and get you pregnant as soon as possible, so everyone knows you’re mine. You’re mine, hear that? Mine.”
“Fuck, Kei..! Please, please, ‘m coming, claim me alpha, ple- agh!”
Kei wastes no time in biting down on the junction of Yamaguchi’s neck and shoulder, claiming the omega as he comes. As his teeth sink into flesh, Kei’s own orgasm spills inside of Yamaguchi and he thrusts one final time as his knot swells and locks them together. An indescribable pleasure washes over him as he feels the mating bond form between them. Once they’ve both finished, Kei collapses on top of Yamaguchi, both of them panting breathlessly.
In the morning, Kei will likely be embarrassed about letting his inner alpha out like this, but for now, he allows himself to feel the bliss of a fresh bond with the man he loves.
“No escape” Yan! Narancia x gender-neutral reader
Tumblr media
 Bling. Another one of… how many messages again? You have stopped counting a while ago. An exasperated sigh escapes your lips, wondering why you haven’t turned off the volume yet. Why is he so unrelenting? Annoyed, you take your phone in your hand, staring at the twenty-five texts Narancia has left for you. At first, they have started off innocently, asking you about your well-being and your day. But as time has passed, the messages have begun becoming more invasive and have ended up being straight-up creepy.
“Why aren’t you answering me, did I do something wrong?”
“Stop being so stubborn, I know you want to be with me, too!”
“I’m always near you, you’re aware of that, right? You can’t escape my love.”
 An icy shudder travels down your spine while reading the last two sentences. Fear clenches around your heart, making your chest feel heavy, your breaths short and laboured.
“’’Try out this dating app!’ they said, ‘It will be fun!’ I see where this fun has lead me to”, you think gloomily. Why on earth did you ever sign up to that damned app and had to match with Narancia? You curse yourself, curse your naivety for having expected to encounter there a nice and healthy relationship.
The only thing that has waited for you is an obsessive stalker you can’t get rid of. Of course you didn’t realise Narancia’s disturbing nature at the beginning. No, you thought of him as sweet and energetic, although a bit tiring. Your first dates were pleasant: you went to a fair, sharing candyfloss and laughter between you, to a restaurant, where the Italian nearly choked on his pasta out of excitement, to a spring picnic at the local park, bathing in the gentle sunlight. It all seemed so beautiful to you back then, so innocent. But quickly, things have changed.
Narancia has become increasingly clingy to you until it started feeling as if he was glued onto your hip. Oh, you want to go grocery shopping? He’ll come with you and help you carry your bags! You’re planning on visiting your family on the weekend? He’ll join you, he has been dying to meet them anyway!
Setting boundaries with him was extremely challenging. Every time you hinted that you’d rather like to spend some time alone, he nearly threw a fit, taking your words out of context and twisting them around.
“So you want to toss me away? You don’t think I’m important to you?”, he shouted at you, tears of anger forming in his eyes. Back then, you didn’t notice his gaslighting methods, felt guilty for prioritising yourself. But now, you don’t want to hold yourself back anymore. There isn’t any reason for you to justify yourself, especially not to someone who clearly has no right to intervene in your life like this. Your gaze travels back to your phone. All these messages, these implications, are proof enough of his unhealthy attachment to you. Hell, he even admitted following you! No matter how much you enjoyed your time together, you can’t let Narancia continue with his creepy behaviour.
Quickly, you type a text, telling the Italian that if he goes on invading your privacy, you’ll block him. For a few minutes, sweet silence dominates your living room.
“Maybe he finally got it”, you muse hopefully.
Bling. There goes your hope.
“Are you messing with me? Why would you write that?! Please, stop with these jokes, we can talk about this!” Another sigh comes out of your mouth.
“No Narancia, we actually can’t. That’s exactly what I’ve been trying to tell the whole time, but it seems you don’t understand. I’m sorry, but I’m gonna block you for now, otherwise I’ll go insane.”
With these final words, you block his number. Relief washes over you as you realise that the Italian can’t harass you anymore.
“It‘s kind of sad how things have turned out”, you mumble to yourself. Though you do feel some regret – after all, the two of you had shared many beautiful moments together – you abruptly stop your pondering. “No use to cry over spoiled milk, Y/N. If he keeps treating you like this, it’s best to get away from him.”
Little did you know that Narancia isn’t letting you go that easily. The following days, he kept reaching out to you towards multiple phone numbers. Every time you blocked it, a new one popped up. At this point, you’ve simply stopped using your phone altogether, only relying on the device if it’s inevitable. In those cases, you’re helplessly exposed to the unnerving messages of the young man. The latest one keeps haunting your mind, initiating your anxiety.
“I’ve been really patient with you, Y/N, but this little game is making me lose my temper. I’ll be seeing you tonight and then we settle things straight. You will grow back to love me, we’ll make up again, I just know it.”
Nervously, you eye the nearest clock in your flat. 8 p.m. What does Narancia consider ‘tonight’? Will he even come? Are you able to face him right now?
“Oh god, I need to go”, you whisper desperately, nausea manifesting itself in your stomach. You could crash at your friend’s place, you’re sure they’d understand your situation. Quickly, you gather all your important belongings, ready to flee, as a loud knocking on your front door followed by an all too familiar voice interrupts your escape.
“Hey Y/N, could you open the door for me, please?”
Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck. You mutter an incoherent string of curses. Petrified, you just keep staring at the door, not daring move a single muscle in your body.
“If you don’t open the door yourself, I’ll just break it in, you know?”, Narancia shouts on the other side. The casualness of his tone scares you even more.
“How can he just be so blasé by his behaviour? Doesn’t he notice how wrong his actions are?” Actually fearing the Italian might damage your property, you accept your defeat and slowly walk up to the front door. Hesitantly, with shaking hands, you unlock it and pull the handle down. Nervousness creeps up on you, making your palms grow sweaty and your heart palpitating erratically. Soon – too soon for your liking – you meet a pair of familiar purple eyes. To your surprise, Narancia smiles upon seeing your face.
“Hi babe,” he greets you, carefree, “I’m so glad you opened the door for me! You have no clue how much I’ve missed you!” Without even waiting for you to invite him in – which you definitely wouldn’t have done – the young man marches into your flat, invading your privacy even further. Suddenly, two arms wrap around your middle and pull you close to the young man’s chest. Your breathing falters at the abrupt touch. “It’s alright, it’s only me, Y/N”, Narancia tries to comfort you. If only he knew that his presence currently gives you anything but comfort…
A few moments later, you find yourself sitting on your couch next to him. Narancia flashes you a seemingly reassuring grin all while you keep fiddling with the sleeves your shirt. You blankly stare at the floor in front of you. Even though Narancia’s behaviour is conveying sympathy, you couldn’t get rid of the intuitive feeling that this is all but a façade to lull you into a false sense of security. Who knows what he could do to you? Despite his overall sweet and fun nature, the young man doesn’t shy away from using violence if you test his – admittedly little – patience. His numerous messages flash up in your mind again. You’re painfully aware now how he made it clear that you’ve clearly missed your opportunities of being in his good graces. This realisation pushes you nearly over the edge, being on the brink of a panic attack. Would Narancia really hurt you?
“Look Y/N,” the sound of his voice interrupts your train of thought. A little startled, you immediately straighten your back and glance at his form next to you. The young man’s hand finds its way to yours, stopping your fumbling by securely grasping it. “I didn’t mean to frighten you, but what’s wrong? Why did you just ignore me like that?”, Narancia asks you. You don’t miss the hint of annoyance in his voice, indicating his true feelings. Though anxiety still has a hold on you, you try your best to fight against it and tell him the truth. After all, it’s not like you could escape this situation anyway. So you take a deep breath in and out again, before you spill your following words.
“Well, I know you’re more of a clingy person Narancia, but what you’re doing is unhealthy. You can’t expect me to give you my full attention all the time. And you definitely can’t follow me around! It’s just creepy and wrong. You know that’s considered stalking, right?”
The Italian stares back at you incredulously. You wonder what’s going on in his head right now.
“You gave me no other choice, Y/N! How am I supposed to see if you’re doing alright if you deny me like this? You really think me worrying about you makes me some deranged criminal?”, Narancia barks angrily back at you. The grip on your hand tightens. Listening to your previous gut feeling, you immediately retrieve your hand from his all while scooting away from him to gain more space between you. The dark-haired man’s jaw visibly clenches at your action, disapproval glistening in his eyes. Of course he would use his gaslighting tactics on you, he always does when things don’t go his way. Cautiously, you think for a while of what to say, not wanting to trigger Narancia’s wrath any further.
“It’s not the fact you worry about me, it’s the way you choose to show your concern. Narancia, it’s not okay what you’re doing, you’re actually making me feel very uncomfortable, even right now. Plus, you’re blaming me for your behaviour, which is, again, not acceptable”, You carefully reply, hoping to talk some sense into him.
He makes you uncomfortable? Narancia can’t comprehend your words at all. He’d been worrying himself sick the last few days, trying to reach out to you as best as possible while you cruelly kept on ignoring his countless messages. But he is supposed to be the bad guy now? The Italian scoffs intensely at that thought. He can feel the anger gnawing at his guts, ready to be released.
“You’re being ridiculous, Y/N,” Narancia reprimands you, “can’t I show you anymore that I care? That I love you? Even after you’ve blocked and ignored me? What do you expect me to do now, to just let you go?”
“Actually, I do,” you peep quietly, “I can’t continue with this madness. If you don’t want to understand and listen to me, then it’s best for you to go. Now.” Your voice grows stronger with every word you utter, finally regaining your confidence. Meanwhile, Narancia’s heart sinks to his stomach at your statement. Do you really want to leave him?
“No, no no no Y/N, you don’t mean this, right? You wanna stay with me, don’t you?”
“No, I really don’t think I do, not after you’ve shown me your true colours.”
With a force you don’t expect, Narancia pulls you suddenly against his chest again. His arms cage you in, leaving no room for you to move at all.
“This is just a misunderstanding,” the young man keeps repeating like a mantra while tightening his grasp as if you could dissipate into thin air if he didn’t cling onto you, “It’s normal for couples to fight from time to time, it’s fine. We’re fine, right? You wouldn’t abandon me for real, would you?”
“Narancia, I –“ you try to intervene, but your attempts remain futile as he cuts you off quickly.
“No, you’re not going to leave me! I’m not letting you. Look, this is but a silly fight, you’re not going to toss away our relationship for that, are you? Just remember all the beautiful moments we shared together, how happy I can make you, if you just let me!” Narancia nuzzles his head into the crook of your neck. “I love you, Y/N.” He eagerly plants kisses onto your skin, making you shudder and whimper helplessly. Your eyes grow bigger, your breath quickens as you desperately look for a way to escape this situation, to escape him.
“I love you more than anything in this world. I’d gladly give up everything if it meant to spend every second with you by my side. No one can love you like this but me. Remember that next time you’re thinking I’m going to let you off the hook”, Narancia whispers in your ear, the underlying threat being crystal clear to you. No, you aren’t going to escape from him any time soon…
She couldn’t stop staring at him. Not just because it had been years since she last saw him, but because ever since she met him, Anna Vandergilt had thought of little else.
Damian Wayne.
They’d met at a benefit when both were sixteen years old, and it had been love at first sight. The elusive heir finally returned to Gotham after five years abroad, doing god knows what. She’d collected every bit of information she could about him, academic transcripts, tabloids, medical and legal records. Vandergilt influence ran deep and she had no compunction about using it to fuel her obsession. Securing an internship at Wayne Enterprises as Tim Drake’s assistant was just the latest step.
And now he’s here, and I won’t let him get away again.
Damian had to remember her, the spark when their eyes met, the unbreakable connection they’d made. He didn’t acknowledge it when they were introduced, but that was fine. He was an intense, secretive man and likely just didn’t want to make a scene.
Green eyes flashed to hers and narrowed, catching her staring. She willed herself to keep it together, sitting up straighter and crossing her legs in an attempt to draw his attention to the slit in her pencil skirt. Blonde-haired, blue-eyed, and leggy, she knew how to make men stare.
Or so she thought. Damian had turned his attention back to Tim’s presentation, arms crossed and expression impatient. So serious. She planned ways she might be able to get him alone, with no one and nothing to distract him from her. After today, I’ll have more than just fantasies. She’d been looking for an opening to approach him all day and was sure she couldn’t wait much longer.
They broke for lunch, but just as she moved towards him she was intercepted by Tim.
“Hey Anna, can you run up to my office and grab my blue flash drive? I forgot to bring it down earlier.”
Get it yourself! she wanted to snap. An assistant position was well beneath her pedigree, and she hated taking instructions from common-born Tim Drake. Swallowing her irritation, she smiled and nodded.
When she finally returned, Damian had already gone, apparently having had a lunch appointment with someone else. Anna sighed. I’ll speak to him after work, I’m sure he wouldn’t say no to dinner and drinks. No man had ever refused her.
She spied him later as she was returning to the conference room, speaking to a dark-haired woman she didn’t know outside of his office. She took a moment to admire him in his suit, noting curiously that the girl with him was only casually dressed in black jeans and an off-shoulder top with a band logo. Unprofessional much? He’s probably scolding her about the dress code.
Just as the thought solidified, she leaned up and pressed a kiss to the underside of Damian’s jaw, tugging his tie playfully as she did so.
It was as though a bucket of freezing water had been dumped over her head. Anna stood stock-still, mouth falling open in horror. Who the fuck...how dare…?
The woman whispered something in his ear, kissing his jaw again as Damian rolled his eyes and smirked. She continued to stare, waiting for him to shove her away, glare, do something. She heard someone approach from behind.
“Ugh, those two,” Tim groaned.
“Who is that?” Her voice was tight and strained, and the man next to her gave her a curious glance.
“That’s Rachel, Damian’s girlfriend.”
“Oh,” she said, at a loss for anything else.
It’s not fair. I planned...I’ve been waiting…
She shook her head, determination moving in. A minor setback. He just needs to know there’s something better on the market. Vandergilts were practically royalty, after all. Her beauty and breeding were no doubt superior. She bit back her anger as Damian dropped a kiss on the other woman’s forehead before walking away.
Just a minor setback, she mentally repeated.
-
Tim’s assistant had a serious staring problem, and Damian was relieved when he was finally able to retire to his office. Annoying. The older man had joked earlier that Damian’s constant absence in Gotham and avoidance of the public eye elevated him to mythical status among some of his father’s employees. He longed for this week to end, eager to be back in Jump and away from the Wayne gawkers.
His phone buzzed, distracting him from the revenue charts in front of him.
“Stephanie is insane.”
Damian smiled, eyes darting to his watch to see how much longer he’d be stuck in this office. As necessary as it was that he be here for the audit, he felt bad abandoning Raven to his siblings. Next time they came to Gotham he’d make sure it was purely recreational and personally show her the sights.
“A half hour more, then I will come rescue you.”
Then two days more, and they would be home.
A knock on the door called his attention. “Mr. Wayne? Could I borrow you for a moment. I need a second pair of eyes on this file.”
He looked up, raising an eyebrow at the worshipful expression on her face. The scent of expensive perfume assailed him and Damian fought the urge to wrinkle his nose. She looked at him hopefully, blinking rapidly.
“Ask Drake.”
She shifted, reaching up to toy with her platinum blonde hair. “Oh...he just has so much on his plate. I wanted to avoid bothering him,” she replied, voice high and lilting.
Strange woman. Damian wondered where his older brother had found this one. He hadn’t really been paying attention when they were introduced, Vander-something or other.
He sighed. “Fine.”
“Oh, thank you,” she breathed.
She circled around the desk to stand next to him, laying the file in front of him and bending low. A fall of blonde hair brushed his shoulder and Damian shifted slightly to put some distance between them. He spent so little time in normal society it was easy to forget how bad most people were with personal space.
“What exactly did you need help with?”
“This.”
Without warning, she sat on his lap and pressed her lips forcefully against his, throwing one arm around his neck for good measure. Damian completely froze, protests firing rapidly through his mind. She tugged on the waistband of his pants and it was enough to break his paralysis. He shoved her off of him violently and she caught herself on the desk, shifting it several inches back.
“What are you doing?!”
The alarm on her face lasted only a second before being replaced with a coy smile. “Don’t be shy, I know you remember me. It’s been years, but you’re all I’ve thought about, Damian. I swear.”
“I - don’t…” Damian felt uncharacteristically frazzled. “I have - no. I’m not interested,” he finally managed.
“Please, Damian.” She tried to take a step forward and he instinctively backed away. He hated the way she said his name, he realized distantly.
“I have a girlfriend,” he said, hard edge in his voice. One who would kill you and probably me if she was here right now. Raven did not share.
The woman sniffed. “Her. Don’t be ridiculous, you’re a Wayne. She can’t possibly-”
“Enough.”
He glared fiercely, daring her to try and continue. Tears swam in her blue eyes and Damian felt a touch of relief that he finally managed to get through.
“I...hmph, fine. Keep her on the side if you must. My father had a mistress. Just keep her out of my sight.”
She’s insane. What the fuck kind of vetting process do you have, Drake?
He closed his eyes and exhaled before meeting her watery gaze once again.
“Listen very carefully. I. Am. Not. Interested. I want you out of this building in the next five minutes or I’ll call security.”
“I - but - we…” She straightened, eyes glassy with disbelief as she tried to compose herself. “I see.”
Damian kept his glare on as she left the room, feeling a headache build behind his eyes. He grabbed his phone again, feeling a pang of guilt when he saw Raven's name, and called his brother.
"I fired your assistant. You're welcome."
"What? Damian, you can't just show up and start firing people!"
"I'll...explain later." Vaguely, and with as few details as I can manage.
The hint of discomfort in his voice must have given him away. "Seriously? No wonder she was staring at you all day.”
"Drop it."
"Alright, alright. Her dad's going to be pissed though, he pushed Bruce for months to take her on here. Sounds like you got your very first stalker."
Well that was a disturbing thought. Damian shook it off. "Just tell him it didn't work out." He didn't want any rumors getting back to Raven if he could help it.
-
Lying to an empath is easier said than done.
“There’s something you’re not telling me.”
"I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
She snorted disbelievingly, eyes glued on the book in her hand. “Why do you feel so guilty?”
“It was a long day. I felt bad for you.” Half-truths were the only semi-effective way he’d found of getting around her lie detector. Normally Damian would smother inconvenient questions with lips, hands, and other parts of him that Raven was always deliciously responsive to, but touching her would have felt wrong right now. She deserved to know the truth before she decided how near she wanted him.
She rolled onto her side then, burrowing down against her pillow and studying him curiously. “You don’t have to spend every second with me, Damian. I’m pretty self-sufficient, in case you haven’t noticed.”
He shrugged, laying back and closing his eyes. “I’ll just be glad to get out of here. People in Gotham are a different breed.”
Raven hummed. “Fine, don’t tell me what’s actually bothering you.”
With that, she leaned over to kiss him goodnight. Damian flinched at the contact before responding in kind, and pretended he didn’t see the confused look in her eyes.
“I love you,” he said, focusing the emotion to make sure she felt it as well.
She closed her eyes, slightly mollified. “I love you, too.”
I'll tell her when we get home, he promised himself. As much as he hated keeping secrets, he knew she was going to be upset and preferred a controlled setting. Damian remembered an incident shortly after they began dating when the ticket-taker at the theater had slipped him her phone number. Raven said nothing at first, but the night ended in a supply closet instead of a screening room.
"I don't share," she whispered dangerously, legs tightening around his hips to draw him in deeper. Red flickered across her purple irises. “You’re mine.”
He smirked at the memory. We never did get to see that movie.
Definitely safer for all involved to wait until they'd left Gotham.
-
Anna stared at her discreetly from the park bench. He’s loyal, that’s all. And I wouldn’t have him any other way.
She grudgingly admitted to herself that the other woman was pretty, if unconventional. Pale purple eyes and dark purple hair - hadn’t anyone told her the punk rock look was out of date? She had nothing on the blonde’s classical beauty.
A hefty bribe to the Wayne's chauffeur had given her knowledge of the woman's - Rachel's - movements throughout the day. She was ordinarily accompanied by Tim's banshee of a girlfriend and one of Bruce's orphans, but had separated from them earlier in the day to visit Gotham’s Arts District. Anna waited until she saw her enter the nearly empty arboretum before making her move. If Damian couldn’t be persuaded to break things off, this one could. An affair with the office hottie - tale as old as time.
“Pardon me?” She adopted a nervous affect as she approached, eyes downcast. “You’re Rachel, right?”
The other woman tore her gaze from the plaque in front of her, violet eyes locking on baby blue. “Do I know you?”
“Anna. I work - worked at Wayne Enterprises. I’m really sorry to do this, but...there’s something you need to know.”
She regarded her silently and the blonde fought the urge to fidget. There's something off about her. What were you thinking, Damian? Finally, Rachel nodded once, crossing her arms. Anna smiled internally and fiddled anxiously with her hands, doing her best to look miserable.
“I was Tim’s assistant until Damian fired me yesterday,” she began, voice weepy. “Tim’s the one who told me about you, I swear I didn’t know before.”
Rachel’s eyes narrowed, something dark and inscrutable flashing in and out of her gaze. “...Excuse me?”
Anna took the low anger in her voice as an encouraging sign and continued. She dropped her eyes again and let out a harsh sob. “I’m not the kind of person who fools around with other women’s boyfriends, and-"
A massive burst of black and red interrupted her thoughtfully planned speech, demolishing the stone plaque next to them and knocking her to the ground. She screamed, covering her head  with her arms. A bomb? What’s happening?
Before she could get her bearings, something hauled her up by the throat, slamming her painfully against a tree. She blinked against the white spots in her vision and the dust in the air, squinting to see what held her.
Four slitted golden eyes met her own, radiating fury so thick she could almost taste it. I’m seeing things. I hit my head and I’m seeing things. The devil tightened its hold on her neck and stepped closer, heat pouring off its red skin. Terrified beyond anything she’d ever felt, Anna felt her bladder let go.
“Did you fuck Damian?” it - she - asked in a deadly calm voice.
“Wh-what?” she croaked. No way...what the fuck is she?!
“Answer, mortal.”
She sobbed in her grasp, all her carefully crafted lies flying away in the wake of her terror. “No! I just kissed him!”
The claws (claws?!) around her neck tightened and she felt warm trickles of blood start to seep down into her collar.
“That - that’s all! That’s all I did! I’m sorry!” she cried, “I’m so sorry! It won’t happen again!”
“I know.”
Shadows wrapped around the two of them and she screamed.
-
Stupid, stupid woman, Damian thought furiously, raising his eyes from the weeping figure on the floor. He’d put it together fairly quickly after walking in the door, and was currently kicking himself for not considering this possibility. She’s clearly deranged, I shouldn’t be surprised she approached Raven.
The woman in question sat in a nearby armchair, looking every bit the queen of hell she was. Her demonic appearance and the regal way she carried herself in this form lent their mundane bedroom at Wayne Manor the feel of some macabre court.
“Something to confess?” his demoness asked lowly.
“I was going to tell you when we returned home. This is the exact situation I was trying to avoid.” Sparks of black and red magic at her fingertips told him that was the wrong thing to say.
“You think a couple hundred miles would have saved her from me when I found out? I would cross entire universes.”
The woman before her seemed to curl in further on herself, as if trying to become a smaller target. Prayers fell from her lips, whispered and unintelligible.
 “She’s not worth it. I would have made you see that.”
“That’s not your decision to make. You are mine, this was a challenge to me. A proper demon would have brought just the head.”
A loud wail met her words and golden eyes flicked downwards, oozing contempt. Damian felt a thrill race down his spine. He'd never seen her this angry - possessive. The idea that he was the catalyst, that his composed, serene Raven was burning so brightly over a stolen kiss made his blood tingle.
Apparently feeling the weight of the demon’s stare, she covered her head with her hands and tried to choke back her cries. A prey-like instinct to hide taking root.
He swallowed before speaking, mindful of the thin ice he was on. “I know you’re upset, but you can’t kill her.”
An amused sound escaped her, and Damian wasn’t entirely sure how to interpret it. “Beloved?”
She finally met his eyes again, clearly unhappy with the situation. “Fine. But if I ever see or sense this creature near you again, I will tear her apart slowly. Testor ego eam.”
With that, she waved a hand and the other woman vanished in a rush of black. He didn’t bother to ask where, not wanting to push his luck with Raven right now. Hysterical as the other woman was, no one would believe anything she had to say anyways.
The demoness crossed her arms, studying him silently. She seemed to have no intention of changing back to her human form. Oh.
“I suppose I’m in trouble as well?”
“Lies deserve punishment. And you need to be reminded who you belong to.”
“You, habibti. Always.”
Her smile offered nothing but trouble and his heart started to pick up. "That’s a start."
“Oh?” he asked her, not moving from the spot where he stood. It seemed that court was still in session, and her final judgement on his own transgressions had not yet passed.
She picked at a claw unhurriedly, hooded eyes flicking over his figure. Not one to back down, he met her appraising stare inch for inch.
“Did you know that demons mate for life?” she asked without warning.
“No, beloved,” he breathed. The information was new but it hardly mattered. He had already decided that he was going to spend the rest of his life with her long before they ended up together. He just wondered why she felt it necessary to mention now.
“It’s a sacred bond. Actually sacred, unlike human marriages. Challenging it is the worst insult one demon can deal to another.” Her eyes narrowed, and her claws seemed to sharpen before his eyes.
“She wasn’t a-”
“No one will threaten our bond. Do you understand, mate?”
Dear gods.
He resisted the urge to lick his lips, instead pressing them firmly together. “You should know that you will never be at risk of losing me, beloved.”
“I know. I also know you will never lie to me again.” The demoness waved a clawed hand before resting it underneath her chin. She was waiting for him. He swallowed again.
“What can I do to make amends?”
Her grin widened, boarding on malevolent, as if she finally found the answer she was looking for. Lifting effortlessly from her chair, she began to stride across the room to him with measured steps.
“I have a few ideas.” She purred.
“Oh?” he asked again, displeased at how out of breath he sounded.
Golden eyes held his own, and she didn’t speak again until she was just an arm's length away from him.
Then she pointed at her feet. “Kneel.”
He felt his jaw go slack. She wants me to do what?
She cocked her head at his hesitation. “You will not kneel for your demoness?” She clicked her tongue in distaste. “Don’t you want to remedy your indiscretions?”
He set his jaw, barely suppressing a wince.  When she put it that way, there was no reason not to kneel before her, even if the thought of doing so went against every instinct in his body. He did, after all, lie to her, and if this was what she wanted from him then who was he to deny her?
Besides, there would be an opportunity for her to return the favor. I’ll make sure of it.
Revealing nothing, he stared at her impassively and slowly dropped to one knee, biting back a scowl as her smirk grew.
Then, he watched as a slender leg poked out from the slit of the dress she was wearing, and a strappy, black heel. He gave her a simmering look, then took it in his hands without a word, and pressed a kiss to her ankle, trailing up the side of her calf.
“That’s very nice, mate.” She murmured, resting a clawed hand onto this shoulder. “What else are you willing to do for me?”
A light smirk replaced his features. She was asking him to seduce her. To fuck her. That was something he would be more than willing to oblige.
He promptly stood to his feet and grabbed her wrist, pulling him into his chest. To his amused delight, she went pliant in his arms— nearly purring as he captured her lips with his. He kissed her thoroughly, drowning out the memory of the other gods-awful kiss that’d been forced upon him.
Then a clawed hand traveled his cheek lightly, moving its way to the back of his head. She suddenly grabbed a fistful of his hair and tugged downwards, tearing his lips from hers. He hissed when sharpened teeth latched themselves on his neck, nipping at the exposed flesh there before soothing it with her tongue.
Then she began to walk forward, forcing him to step with her— until the back of his knees touched the mattress of their bed.
“Meus es tu.” She said lowly, and she pushed at his chest, sending him backwards.
It turned into a battle for assertion. One that he admitted he thoroughly enjoyed— and intended on winning.
He took her with him, grabbing her waist to position her underneath. His smile was smug when he peered down into four golden slits, obviously dissatisfied at the turn of events.
Ignoring her bared teeth, he nudged open her legs with one knee before settling between them, then rolled against her in one swift movement, taking pleasure in the way she threw her head back with a growl.
He continued his ministrations, trailing hot kisses down her neck, just as she did to his moments before. One hand reached up to graze her breast as his kisses went farther down the middle of her chest, while his other hand roamed over the swell of her hips.
Raven in turn, was growing more frustrated with every second he kept her distracted with his teasing, light touches.
“Enough.” It was a command.
By the time he managed to blink he found himself on his back and she was straddling his waist.
Her hands encased with her dark magic. “Alliges duplicia.”
His arms lit up with her magic and they were forced above his head. When he tried to bring them back down he was met with resistance. What the hell? When he looked up his eyes widened with realization. She bound my fucking hands to the headboard.
“Raven.” He snarled in warning, tugging on his bonds. The demoness was unperturbed by his outburst.
“You will submit to me, mate.” A dangerous red swirled in those golden irises, and he clenched his jaw in response, then bit back a groan when she brushed against his length.
“Let me go.” He glared.
“I will not. This is your punishment. You will stay like this until you beg for me.”
“Tch.”
He detested how painfully hard he was. His erection strained against his trousers, and he couldn’t contain his next groan when she palmed him.
It didn’t matter how much he wished she’d slip her hand underneath his belt. He would not beg.
She began to strip slowly, until she was completely bare before him, and then she peeled off his pants carefully— and then his shirt. His full erection was on display for her, and he released a strangled noise in the back of his throat when she settled her heated core against him.
She chuckled darkly when he twitched underneath her. “Say please.”
“No.” he gritted out, breath hitching when her mouth latched onto one of his nipples, nipping roughly. Her tongue flicked it right after, mixing the pain she had caused with pleasure.
“No?” Her claws wrapped around his throat, squeezing in warning. “You are in no position to deny me, mate.”
He just glowered.
“Fine.” She relented, retracting her claws. “You will break eventually.”
Her fingers lifted to her full breasts, reddened from her true form, and her fingers began to tease one darkened nipple into a tight peak. The bonds went taut when he pulled at them roughly in an attempt to reach out to her. She noticed this and smirked as she teased her other nipple, then rocked against him. They groaned together.
He watched as she then slipped one hand down to her core and began to tease herself, parting her folds before slipping a finger inside while grazing against his cock.
She moaned, mouth parting slightly and he growled again in protest. That should be his fingers inside of her.
“If you insist on not obeying me, then I will use you for my own pleasure.” She sunk down onto his cock and his head hit the wall with his groan. Fuck, she felt so damned good and the pace she was setting set him on a steady course towards an impending orgasm, regardless of how much he despised not being in control.
“Beloved.” He growled when she brought him to the brink all too soon, then slowed back down while teasing her clit with her own fingers. Quick, circling motions that revealed her own need to him— that she was nearing her own orgasm.
He caught her hitched breath. She was losing resolve, caught in her own wave of pleasure.
“Release me.” He tugged on his bonds again and bucked his hips into her for good measure. “I want to be the one to fuck you when you come.”
She gasped and clenched around him, drawing him even deeper. “I will come soon. If you want to fuck me, you must beg now.”
He cursed. Goddamn her.
“Please, habibti. I am yours.”
With a victorious smirk, she waved a hand. That smirk was short-lived however, because as soon as the bonds disappeared he lunged for his little demoness, twisting them both before pulling out of her to roll her onto her stomach.
“You are mine too, Beloved. I will also make sure of that,” he snarled into her ear, teasing his cock at her entrance. His hands held her pressed against the bed.
The demoness laughed, then inhaled sharply when he pushed into her with one swift movement. They were both right at the edge, only a few more thrusts was all it would take to throw them both over.
“I can feel how close you are,” He reached a hand underneath her to press his thumb directly against her clit, “Come with me, now.”
She cried out— a sound that was more animalistic than human, and she fluttered around him. He fell shortly after, nearly seeing stars. He continued to thrust languidly, drawing out their orgasms. Vaguely, he watched as Raven’s skin turned from red to flushed ivory. One pair of eyes turned to peer up at him instead of two, and the color of her irises receded to lavender.
For a moment he watched her transform, breathless.
She smiled up at him as her breathing returned to normal and he returned it before dropping his face to her neck. “I’m going to have to make you jealous more often,” Damian murmured into her skin.
Raven snorted, lifting a hand to run through his sweat-soaked hair. “Unwise. Not only will I definitely kill the next one, it will hurt the entire time she is dying.”
“Green is a good color on you, habibti.”
She said nothing, but he could feel her contentment in the gentle run of her fingers across his hair and skin. As post-orgasmic clarity continued to take hold a question popped into his mind and he leaned up to regard her.
“When were you planning on telling me we were essentially demon-married?”
She flushed. “Eventually. Are you...did you not want…?”
He silenced her with a kiss, letting his actions and strength of his emotions answer her question. As though he could ever give this up, or stomach the idea of either of them being with someone else.
After all, Damian didn’t share either.
Womyn With A ‘Y’ (m) - 4
Tumblr media
Summary: You weren’t quite sure how you ended up working with the aloof Yoonji on your student council campaign, but you did know that that girl was starting to make you question yourself. I mean, if she’s even a girl at all…
Pairing: Yoonji/Reader Yoongi/Reader
Genre: Smut/Fluff
Word Count: 3754
Warnings (if applicable): Moderately underaged drinking, Jimin being too good for this world.
A/Ns: I’m back y’all
Chapters: 1 2 3 4
The  next day, Jimin had noticed you were upset right away. He had caught up with you just as lunch had begun. You hadn’t heard from Yoonji today, and the thought had been weighing on you heavily. Hadn’t she said that the two of you should talk?
“There you are!” He says, jogging up to you. “Did everything go alright with Yoonji yesterday? You look a little bit tense.”
You open your mouth to respond, but no sound comes out. You can feel rejection washing over you in waves, and even though you understand that it’s not Yoonji’s fault that she doesn’t want you, you can’t deny that it hurts.
Of course you weren’t good enough for Yoonji. When had she ever given you a sign that that wasn’t the case? That tall beautiful goddess could never fall for someone like you. On top of that, now you had to worry about what your relationship would be like in the future. Would she ever even want to speak to you again?
“Hey… What’s the matter?” Jimin asks. “Did you two get into a fight? Did she back out of being your running mate?”
“This isn’t about the stupid election, Jimin!” You snap, but you regret it immediately. Jimin hadn’t done anything wrong. You shouldn’t make him feel like he had.
Jimin looks a bit surprised by your outburst, but just holds up his hands in innocence.
“I’m sorry.” You apologize instantly, guilty about your outburst. But Jimin’s face just softens into a smile.
“You’re a bit cute when you’re mad, you know?” He playfully taps your shoulder and you scoff, a feeling annoyance flaring in your tummy.
“Oh, there it is again.” He winks.
“Shut up!” You say, but you can feel your lips twitch up just a little bit. It seemed like Jimin was impossible to stay annoyed at. It was probably his stupid boyish charm. But you continue. “We didn’t fight or anything serious. Just a minor disagreement.” Jimin nods, thoughtful.
“Still, you seem pretty bent up about it.” He notes. You’re a bit surprised by his astuteness.
“Is it that obvious?” You question and Jimin laughs.
“Not quite obvious. Just, I know the Yoonji blues better than anyone. I can catch it from a mile away.” He throws his arm around your shoulders. You’re surprised at the fact that it doesn’t feel uncomfortable. “Listen, I have something that might help make you feel better. But it might not be the wisest idea you’ve ever heard.”
You look up at Jimin curiously. He’s got a mischievous glint in his eyes that you’re surprised to see on his cherubic face. His mouth quirks up slightly at your interest, the smirk making him look positively sinful.
“What did you have in mind Jimin?”
He winks at you. “Don’t panic. But we are skipping the rest of school.”
_____
You’ve never actually skipped school before, especially not to hang out with a boy.
You should have asked where the two of you were going. And as soon as you were in Jimin’s car, you realized that you could have put yourself in incredible danger. You had been too wrapped up in the prospect of doing something bad, so focussed on that that you hadn’t considered the ways in which Jimin might take advantage of you. He might seem sweet, but he was still a man after all.
Jimin catches onto your nerves, spotting the worried crease in your forehead from a mile away.
“I’m not going to kill you, I promise. We are going to my house.” Jimin soothes, backing out of his parking spot.
“Your house for what?” You say, mind racing back to how angry Yoonji would be if she found out you had gotten yourself into this situation. He begins to drive.
“Drinking.” He stated. As if the answer were simple.
“I- I don’t know if that’s a good idea.” You say, a bit flabbergasted at the boy’s suggestion. You weren’t supposed to drink. Especially not in the middle of the day during the week.
“I told you it was a bad idea!” Jimin defends himself. “But I think that you ought to let loose once and awhile. And Yoonji causes everyone’s feelings to go haywire. Just try it? Just this once? I promise I’ll take good care of you. Yoonji is something I know how to handle well.” If it were any other boy you would have doubted the truthfulness of their claims. But Jimin always had a way of displaying his earnesty on his face through and through. You couldn’t help but trust him.
“Alright… But if you try anything I’ll cut your dick off I swear to god.” You tried to sound as serious and menacing as possible, but Jimin just laughed, pulling into the driveway of what you could only assume to be his home. It wasn’t too far from your own home, you noted. And you were grateful for that.
Jimin leads you up into his room. It’s relatively clean, save for a few piles of laundry here and there. You couldn’t distinguish whether they were clean or not at a glance. He motions for you to take a seat on his bed then goes to his closet. Rummaging around until he pulls out a box full of liquor.
“How did you get all that?” You wonder.
“I have an older friend, Jin. He gets this for me. He’s really cool. We met at work.” Jimin places the box unceremoniously on the bed before you. “What would the beautiful lady like first?” He throws in a wink for good measure.
You’re not sure how long you and Jimin sit there, drinking and talking casually about your lives before he sprung the question. It had to have been hours at least, judging by the way the sky darkened. You had heard his parents come home at some point, but Jimin didn’t make a move to cover up the alcohol, and so you had remained. Talking and drinking and laughing. Losing track of the amount of empty cans and bottles that belonged to you. You had liked getting to know him, and he remained a respectful distance from you, as though he knew that any advance on his part would be more than unwelcome. It had almost helped you forget the source of all of your current problems. At least, until Jimin broached the topic you had hoped he would leave alone.
“So,” He says lightly, “are you going to tell me what happened with Yoonji?”
You take a long drink of the soju he had given you earlier, not even bothering to mix it with your beer at this point.
“Well…” You didn’t know if you should tell him. You hadn’t even told Soonmi yet. Too afraid of her reaction to let it slip.
“Hey, it’s okay if you don’t want to talk about it too. I’m not going to pry. I just think it might make you feel a little bit better.” His smile is gentle and kind. If you hadn’t been so wrapped up with Yoonji, your heart would have definitely fluttered all over the place.
“I don’t want to upset you…” You let slip. It can’t be in good taste to tell the president of the Min Yoonji fan-club that you’d kissed the girl he’s had a thing for for years, right?
“Oh please,” he waves his hand as if to shoo your worries away. “There’s nothing you can say to me that will upset me. I know Yoonji’s not into me. You don’t have to be considerate of my feelings. It’s cute of you though.” He tacks on for good measure.
“Well… Okay…” You started, you could feel that the words had to come out anyway, and with your tongue loose from the alcohol you had been drinking, you figured it was easier to just let it happen than try to stop it. “After Yoonji pulled me away from you at lunch yesterday, she ended up. I mean, it’s. I’m embarrassed to say it, gosh.” Your cheeks started to heat up. “She! She just kissed me, okay? And it was amazing and wonderful and all sorts of good! But… right after that, she ran away like I was some sort of monster. I can’t help thinking that I did something wrong. Am I that horrendous?” You put your head in your hands. All the feelings that you had been able to set aside with the help of the soju slamming back into you tenfold.
“Ahh, I see.” Jimin leans back on his arms. “Well, I can tell you one thing, it’s not because of the way you kiss.” His face flushes slightly as you raise your eyebrows. “Sorry. Locker room talk. Jihoon isn’t really a private person.”
Your mouth turns downwards at that, and Jimin immediately moves on, trying to avoid upsetting you.
“Well, maybe it’s the fact that you’re both girls?” He questions. “God that’s hot. I mean-- I’m sorry, I’m a little drunk.” His cheeks color slightly, the blush pouring over his nose. You can’t help but smile. It was cute to see him like this.
“It’s fine.” You laugh. “But Yoonji had already told me that she was bisexual by that point. It didn’t seem like it was something she was upset about?”
“Oh. I’m not sure why she’d run then, to be honest. But I don’t think it would be anything bad. Who would be upset after kissing you?” You don’t notice Jimin’s flirting, you never do. Jimin smiles to himself at the fact. You were way too nice.
“I don’t know. I’ve been feeling upset about it though. I didn’t even know I was into girls like that. I… I still think it might just be Yoonji or something? She’s just different you know?” Jimin nods in understanding and mutual pining. “All I know is that I want to kiss her again. More than anything.” You cover your face with your hands upon admitting it.
“Is that all you want to do with her?” Jimin questions.
“No of course not.”
“Why don’t you give her a call?” He suggests. “Ask her for what you want. To be honest if you called me and begged for me to kiss you I’d be there in five minutes flat.”
“I don’t know…” You blush at the boy’s suggestion. “It’s not… usually my style.”
Jimin smirks.
“That’s what the alcohol was for. Listen,” he leans forward to take your shoulders into his hands. “You’re hot as fuck. Yoonji clearly has a thing for you! You should see the way she stares at you when you’re around. She’s probably freaked out because she doesn’t want to hurt you or something. I mean, really, you have that effect on people. Too fucking cute, I say.” You blanch at Jimin’s swearing and he smiles widely at your expression.
“See?” He continues, booping you on your nose quickly. “Too cute. My vote is that you go home, call up Yoonji, and get her to give you everything you want. I bet you sound adorable all worked up. She won’t be able to say no.”
“Are you sure?” You ask.
“More than sure.” He responds. You nod resolutely and stand from the bed, shaking slightly from the alcohol in your system.
“Are you good to get home?” Jimin asks. “I might be a little too drunk to drive. You can always stay here and put it on speaker phone?”
You slap at his shoulder playfully. “Gross, Jimin. No I can get home. It’s only like a five minute walk.”
“Still it’s dark out. Let me at least walk you home?” You nod in agreement and the two of you start off towards your house.
The trip goes by much quicker than you anticipated, Jimin as usual proving to be the best kind of company.
You’re at your doorway when he looks you in the eye and takes a step in your direction.
“Here, take this.” Jimin laughs at your slight alarm, handing the small bottle of soju your way. “For liquid courage!”
You blush profusely, but take the bottle from Jimin regardless.
“And hey, babe,” He says, leaning far too close than was necessary to speak directly into your ear. “Go get that pussy.” Then he’s gone.
You manage to make it through your room, despite your heavy limbs. Dialing, first, the one person who deserved to know everything that was going on. She answers on the third ring.
“Hey! Where were you in last period?”
“Soonmi” You slur, opening the soju that Jimin had gifted you and taking another swig. “I wanna fuck Yoonji so bad.”
“H-Holy shit, bitch.” Is her immediate reply. “Have you been drinking? How much have you had?”
“Just a little,” you lie. “Jus’ like two shots.” Such a lie. You can’t remember if you’ve had two or three bottles of soju at this point. And that wasn’t including the fact that you were chasing with beer on top of it.
“Babe, oh my god. You need to go to sleep.” Soonmi says. “I can’t come to get you. I’m like an hour away…”
“Yoonji is so fucking hot. I never thought I’d eat pussy before but like I would, I so would.”
“Jesus Christ… Okay, I can’t help you right now… Are your parents home? Is someone there for you?” You understand why she can’t drop everything and run to you. She had no way to get to you, since she was staying at her dad’s house this weekend and couldn’t drive.
“Yeah, they’re home if I need them.” You say. “But I don’t need them. I need Yoonji. I need to call Yoonji.”
“No bitch, you do not--” but you’ve already hung up. Mind set on calling the only person you know you shouldn’t, bolstered by Jimin’s support. You can’t help it. You need to hear her voice. It’s late, and you only think that there’s a possibility of her being asleep on the third ring. But your worries are pushed to the side when she answers, her low voice gravely as she picks up.
It was go time.
***
Of course he’d picked up when he saw it was you. What else could he do? He was putty in your hands no matter which way he looked at it.
“Is everything okay?” He asks immediately. You aren’t the type of girl to call this late. He hopes nothing is wrong.
“Yoonji.” You breathe out, and the way your voice sounds makes Yoongi pause.
“A-Are you alright?” He asks again, not missing the irony of his stutter. It seems that you were also capable of turning him into a nervous mess.
“I miss you, Yoonji.” You tell him, and his heart stops. “I’ve been thinking about you all night…” Your voice dips a bit and Yoongi can’t help but take the bait.
“What? What have you been thinking about?”
You make a little whimpering noise on the other end of the line, and Yoongi can’t help but bite his lip at that. It spurs him to think about all of the noises you would make if you just let him have his way with you. The small coos and cries in his imagination had kept him awake all night for during the past few weeks was nothing in comparison to the real thing.
“Your mouth and hands and everything. Yooooonji~” You say. Your words slur just a bit and Yoongi sighs.
“You’ve been drinking, huh?” He says.
“Yeah, but I’m a big girl, I can handle it.” Is your retort.
“You should sleep.” He says, but he doesn’t hang up like he should. Why wasn’t he hanging up? He chalked it up to not wanting to hurt your feelings but even he rolled his eyes at himself as he thought so. He was such a liar.
“I can’t sleep, Yoonji, I want you.” He chokes a bit at that. He can’t help it. It sounds so sexy spilling from your lips. You’re going to fucking kill him with this.
“You’re going to regret this in the morning.” He grits out. He’s already in trouble, he can’t dig himself into a deeper hole.
“How can I regret it when it’s all I can think about?” You sigh dreamily, as if the thought of the two of you together had resurfaced again.
Yoongi was in some deep shit as he considered the prospect too.
“Please princess, don’t say things you can’t mean.” Yoongi mumbles through clenched teeth. He was teetering on the precipice of something horrible and gratifying. He had to get the situation under control before it was too late.
“Don’t tell me what I feel, Yoonji.” Your tone is harsher than he’s ever heard it before. As if you had finally had enough of his shit. Yoongi smiles, his heart aching at how cute you sound when you’re mad at him. Geez, he was such a fucking creep.
“I’m not going to take advantage of you while you’re drunk.” He finally states, blessing whatever God might be out there for allowing him the strength.
“Can’t you just do it a little bit?” You pout over the line, making Yoongi let out a sharp breath. “Please Yoonji, I feel like I’m going crazy! I can’t stand this anymore. How am I supposed to just roll over and go to sleep when I know you’re somewhere looking hot as hell and-- ahh!” You sound as if you’re in physical pain, and Yoongi is familiar with the feeling. Your soft voice echoes throughout his mind at the most inopportune times of the day. He had hoped that if he had just pushed through it might pass, but in all actuality it had simply gotten worse.
“Please…” He begs, “I’m not necessarily saying no for forever. Just until you’re a little more level headed. Until I’m a little more level headed.”
He hears your resigned sigh resonate through the speaker.
“Alright, but please don’t hang up yet. I want to hear your voice. To talk to you.” Fuck. So damn cute. Unreasonably cute.
“Of course, princess. Anything you want.”
“Well apparently not anything.” You huff, more to yourself than to him and he bites his lip at the image of you he’s conjured up. All hot and ready on your pink bedspread, pouting up a storm because he wont fuck you. Fuck. Focus.
“What do you want to talk about?” He changes the subject.
You consider his question for a moment. As if debating whether or not you should say what you had in mind.
“Yoonji, I did something bad today. I’m sorry!” You lament and Yoongi can’t help the smile that graces his lips at the abrupt shift in conversation. It was almost as if you’d lost your nerve, all prior sexual tension leaving immediately in the wake of your sudden confession. He can’t help but feel a bit relieved.
“What happened, darling?” He asks softly.
“I drank.” You state.
“We’ve already established that.” He coos, picturing the flush in your cheeks as you tell him again.”
“Oh right. But… Yoonji. I drank with Jimin.” Yoongi can hear the shame in your voice, and he briefly wonders whether he had been too harsh with you about the younger man. Yoongi knows that the two of you would make a perfect couple, and he doesn’t know why he keeps standing in your way. Why it fills him with jealousy whenever he sees the two of you together. Well, maybe he does know, but it would be better for everyone if he denied it.
You must have noticed his silence on the other end of the line, because you start explaining yourself profusely. You tell him that you were feeling hurt that he hadn’t shown up to school to talk. That you were worried that he hated you now and that you wouldn’t want to be friends with him anymore. But it was one specific question which had Yoongi breaking apart under its weight, reeling at the shift in conversation and almost wishing he had just done what you had asked originally.
“Was I not good enough?” You had asked, in relation to the kiss that the two of you had shared.
“No, oh my god no.” Yoongi interrupts before you can say anything else as equally ridiculous and heartbreaking. “The kiss was wonderful. More than anything else, I want to do it again.”
“Then why don’t you Yoonji?” You ask. “Why did you run away?”
“I told you, there’s something I’ve been keeping from you. I could never forgive myself if I took advantage of you without you knowing all the facts.” “But you didn’t come into school today! Why are you avoiding me?” Yoongi can hear the way your voice tightens, holding back tears.
“I wasn’t avoiding you, I swear.” Yoongi responds. “Or… maybe I was but it’s out of my own cowardice. This has nothing to do with your actions. You mean a lot to me.”
“Yoonji, you know that I won’t care what you have to tell me, right? You know that the only thing I want is to kiss you again? Nothing you can say will change my mind.” Your voice sounds earnest now, and Yoongi feels his heartbeat quicken. Why are you so cute?
“Is that the truth?” He asks.
“Absolutely.”
“I’m sorry that I drank with Jimin. You ought to know that he means nothing in comparison to you. I even told him so.” You sigh.
“You don’t have to explain anything to me, babe. I shouldn’t be so jealous anyway. You and Jimin might even make a good couple.”
“Don’t say that to me!” You cry, and Yoongi is taken aback. “The only person I want to be with is you, Yoonji. I don’t know how you’ve done this to me, but I’m so wrapped up in you. I can’t think of anyone else.”
“I don’t want you to think of anyone else.” Yoongi confesses. The answer is dangerously honest. “But please don’t make any decisions before you know the truth about me, okay? Can you promise me that you won’t?”
“I can’t promise you that… but I will promise to listen to you.”
“Then. Let’s meet tomorrow morning? Before school… I’ll tell you what you need to know.” His heart falls into the pit of his stomach.
You agree before hanging up the phone, leaving you both feeling tense, nervous, and eager for the following day to arrive.
@febuwhump day 10 : I'm sorry, I didn’t know keep moving forward summary
“Oh, look who it is,” said Tony. “The amazing Peter Parker and Iron Lad.”
“I’ve asked you to stop calling me that,” said Harley. He put his laundry basket down on the porch.
“Shouldn’t you two be off doing college boy things? Like blowing up your dorm rooms or terrorizing your professors into retiring early?” Tony’s eyes shifted to Peter. “Or not studying for your Chem midterm on Monday?”
Peter frowned, and dropped his laundry bag from his shoulder. It landed with a thud, next to Harley’s basket. “How did you know about my test?”
“Think it’s hard for this genius and savior of the universe to hack a lousy MIT server?”
A gentle breeze fresh off the lake blew through Peter’s hair, bringing with it all the familiar and welcoming scents of his second home.
He shut the door to Harley’s baby, a vintage red Camaro with black racing stripes, and immediately locked eyes with Tony, who watched them both walk the dirt path up to the lakehouse from his favorite chair on the porch.
“Oh, look who it is,” said Tony. “The amazing Peter Parker and Iron Lad.”
“I’ve asked you to stop calling me that,” said Harley. He put his laundry basket down on the porch.
“Shouldn’t you two be off doing college boy things? Like blowing up your dorm rooms or terrorizing your professors into retiring early?” Tony’s eyes shifted to Peter. “Or not studying for your Chem midterm on Monday?”
Peter frowned, and dropped his laundry bag from his shoulder. It landed with a thud, next to Harley’s basket. “How did you know about my test?”
“Think it’s hard for this genius and savior of the universe to hack a lousy MIT server?”
“Morgan’s right,” said Peter, having flashbacks to that time, a couple of weeks earlier, when she had called him from her closet to complain that her dad spent the entire day at her school. “You have boundary issues.”
“And I’m called Iron Man 2,” said Harley.
“Yeah,” said Peter. “Cause he’s the sequel.”
“Well you know what they say about sequels. They’re never as good as the original.”
“It’s cold here,” said Harley. He turned to Peter. “Why did we come here, again?”
“I dunno, my memory’s sort of foggy…”
“Oh, let me try,” said Tony. “Maybe cause you’re both broke college students who haven’t had a solid meal since the last time you drove four hours to do laundry, and you know on Friday nights I make my famous lasagna.”
“Yeah,” admitted Peter. “Sounds about right.”
Tony pulled him into a belligerent hug, knocking the air of him, and ruffling his hair with his prosthetic arm. Harley was nex
t, though he tried, and failed, to get away. Peter lifted both heaps of laundry off the porch. The three of them went inside, where the aroma of home cooked lasagna filled the air.
Peter breathed it in, and a peaceful feeling spread through his body. He was home. At least for a while.
*
The garage was dimly lit, but that was the way Harley liked it. Reminded him of home, and all those nights he’d snuck out to the garage after his mother went to bed to tinker until sunrise, working quietly by lantern and flashlights only, to stay hidden and unbothered.
It didn’t matter how much noise he made at the Stark lake house. He’d always be drown out by Morgan’s chaos or Tony’s rambling or Peter’s frequently moody loud thoughts. It was comforting, and annoying, at all once.
“Burning the midnight oil?” asked Tony, and Harley poked his head up from insides of his beloved Camaro.
Tony wore a robe patterned with tiny Spider-Mans over his pajamas, and Harley had never really gotten used to that, to seeing Tony Stark, Iron Man, walking around in goofy dad pajamas.
“Something like that.”
“I can help you, you know,” said Tony. He patted the red Camaro, and Harley swatted his hand away.
“No way,” said Harley. He knew what happened when Tony started tinkering, even when he’d claim they were only minor upgrades. “Touch her and die. I like her the way she is.”
“That’s not what you said when you asked for my expert advice about your suit.”
“One of my biggest regrets,” said Harley.
“Brat.”
“Old man.”
“I’m not that old,” pointed out Tony.
“But you’re retired,” said Harley. “And that automatically ages you up about twenty years.”
“I’m not retired. I’m a dad, thus making retirement impossible.”
Tony sat on a stool, and with his latest statement, his mood shifted towards something more heavy, more sad. Just the way conversation tended to go lately, as if someone had died. That was about right. Someone had practically died.
“You’re worried about Peter?” Harley guessed.
“I’m always worried about Peter,” said Tony. “And Morgan. But I actually came in here to talk about you.”
“Me?”
“Yeah, you,” said Tony. “How’s MIT? How’s your first semester going? I need all the details.”
Harley paused, wondered if it was alright to tell the truth, then realized he couldn’t help it. He broke out into a grin.
“It’s great,” said Harley. “It’s everything I thought it’d be.”
They spend the next couple of hours ignoring the Camaro in favor and talking about hated professors, loved professors, his favorite classes, parties, that girl in his Econ class that always seems to evade him whenever he’d worked up the nerve to ask her out.
“I’m glad you’re having a good time,” said Tony. “You don’t have to feel guilty about it just because -”
“-because Peter’s not?” offered Harley. “I’m worried about him, too.”
“He’ll be fine,” said Tony, but there wasn’t any reassurance in his words and his eyes looked a bit lost, evident even in the dimly lit garage.
“He’s depressed.”
Tony took a breath, as if he’d known along, but wasn’t ready to hear the simple, plain truth stated like that.
“Yeah,” said Tony. “I suppose he is.”
After several seconds of dead air, Tony stood up from his stool, and clasped him on the shoulder. “I appreciate you looking out for him, as long as you’re remembering to look after yourself.”
“Yeah, sure,” said Harley. “It’s really like we look out for each other, tough. Take turns being the responsible one. We’ve got a calendar for it and everything.”
Tony laughed, and got that far off look in his eyes. The one he usually got before launching into a story about his and Rhodey’s college days, but on that night, Harley was spared a story about good ole days. He suspected it was due to Tony worrying more about Peter than he was letting on.
*
Tony wanted to call May.
She was a beacon of parental wisdom, especially when it came to Peter, and Tony could really use the help. He was out of his league, here, but last time he’d call at this time of night, he hadn’t gotten advice about how to sooth Morgan through the sudden loss of her imaginary friend. He’d gotten yelled at, by her, and then by Happy, both of them grumpy about being woken up.
And since Pepper also didn’t like being woken up, Tony would have to go with his instincts this time. His instincts told him what Peter needed was a little bit of tough love.
So, he positioned himself on the stairs, just as Peter tried disappearing into his room for some sleep.
“Tony,” said Peter. “Please don’t be annoying.”
“Too late. I was born that way.”
“Please move. Tired.”
“MIT has really gone downhill since I left, huh,” said Tony. “Students can’t even speak in complete sentences.”
Peter groaned, and Tony slung his arm around him, directing him into the kitchen where’s set up the table with a variety of study aids and all of Peter’s school books.
“What is this?”
“Oh you know,” said Tony. He let go of him, and walked around the table. “You got your energy drinks, you sour gummy candy, your laptop, school books, day old pizza in the fridge, all the necessities for an all-nighter.”
“Why?”
“I’m teaching you how to be a real college student,” said Tony. “And I figured I could help you study for your Chem midterm, since you don’t seem to be interested in it at all.”
“I’m a genius. I don’t need study help.”
“Uh huh,” said Tony. “A genius who’s almost failing Chemistry, and will without a decent score on this test.”
Peter dropped his shoulders, and annoyance flashed across his face. Tony waited for him to yell, or start a fight with him.
He’d been so polite, for the most part, during his teen years Tony figured it was about time for them to be at odds over something, about time for Peter to go off the rails the way only a nineteen-year-old could.
“I was thinking,” said Peter, stating his discontent calmly. No yelling only meant it was gonna be harder for Tony to shoot this down. “I could just forget about school.”
“Forget about school?”
“Yeah,” said Peter. Like it was no big deal. “I could help you and Bruce figure what’s wrong with me.”
“There’s nothing wrong with you. Except for your Chemistry grade.”
“You know what I mean, Tony,” said Peter, a bite to his tone. “Find out what’s wrong with my powers. So I can be Spider-Man again.”
“Kid, we’ve been through this over and over again. Bruce and I, we’re handling this. School is your job right now.”
“Well I’m tired of just sitting around, and waiting -”
“-hence you being enrolled at MIT.”
Tony pushed Peter towards the table, and they both sat down.
“Listen, Pete,” he told him. “I’m sorry, I don’t know what it’s like to have these powers and suddenly have them disappear. It’s been… rough on you. And May and I get that. We let you mope around New York all summer long, but it’s time to pick yourself up and keep moving forward.”
Peter stared at the table, at all the study materials, and it was hard for Tony to interpret what he was thinking.
“Think of it as a shot at having some normalcy,” he said. “Before you get your powers back and with them, all of Spider-Man’s responsibilities.”
“What if,” said Peter. His mask of uninterest started to crack. “And what if they don’t come back?”
“They will.”
“You don’t know that.”
“I do,” said Tony. “I literally saved this whole universe, and our friend Professor Hulk brought half the population back. I think we’ve got it covered.”
“Yeah,” said Peter, though he didn’t sound convinced. He looked away from Tony, and at his school books. “I guess we better get started.”
Tony frowned.
He had been hoping for more conversation, or at least to break through to the kid, in some way, even if it was just a talk and a vent.
Instead he had an almost breakthrough. A tiny crack in the disguise. And that wasn’t good enough, even if Peter was studying and allowing Tony to help him.
When they’re done, Peter disappeared to his room to get some sleep, and Tony sat up, at the table, sipping on a god-awful energy drink and wondering who he’d have to bribe to become a professor at MIT.
Previous Chapter | Masterlist
Tumblr media
No matter how many times Safin told you were a guest that it was your lair now, you still felt like a prisoner. Safin claimed you were a bird trapped in a cage he had freed, but you still felt trapped. You were free to roam around the Submarine Pen as you pleased. Every corner there was a guard who would stare at like you were from another planet or Safin would find you and accompany you If he wasn’t busy trying to push Europe into a civil war. All you wanted to be was alone with your thoughts. No matter what, you always felt like you were being watched.
Your sanity was beginning to break as you had been on Safin’s island for a month. Some days went by fast while others had dragged on. Safin, seeing your boredom, understood you wanted something to keep you busy. His intention wasn’t to keep you only for marriage, but as someone, he could work by. You were useful in many ways, whether it be on the field or at a computer. So he had given you codes to encrypt for his new bases around Europe. As much as it made you feel guilty for helping Safin, you truly had no choice but to unfourenlty comply. One wrong move and the last bit of family you had left would be gone. Everyday you thought about M16. You had been there for four years and considered some of your co-workers to be family, even Bond (who could be irritating at times). When you encrypted codes, all you could think about was how you possibly let the double oh’s all die because of a foolish mistake. Safin had nerve giving you the job, but with your family being mentioned, all you could do was do what you were told. He had been generous enough to let you range shooting and even had let you teach some of his men how to properly shoot.
Every night, whether it was at dinner or when Safin would knock at your door to bid you good night, he would ask that same damn question you hated.
“Do you love me?”
Your response was always “no”. For as long as you could, you wanted to refrain from marrying Safin. The thought of being married to someone such as himself truly scared you. Having to lay in the same bed and consummate with Safin was haunting to any normal human. Yet the reason you were there was that Safin had an unhealthy obsession with you. Safin seemed like the type of man who would want to have his way with a woman, but he never forced himself upon you once. Sure he had touched your hair or (forcefully) made you hold his arm, but you rather would to deal with that.
One time, Safin had knocked on your bedroom door to say goodnight to you with a gift in hand. It was a beautiful gold necklace with a ring. Safin had placed it on your neck. You’d never forget the way he stood behind you, admiring your body and plush lips. “That necklace will look beautiful when we get married,” He whispered into your ear. You tried to take it off, but he had locked the clasp. The ring was a constant reminder that you were his even if you weren’t married.
Another time was when you were hiding in the gardens from Safin. He had found you and asked what you had been doing. You said you had been gardening since some of the plants had been dying. It seemed like a nice moment between you two as he asked about the type of flowers that resided in the garden. As you walked by blue Hydrangeas, he calmly stated, “Those would look good at our wedding, wouldn’t they y/n?”
Safin was delusional if you thought you were going to marry him right away. You had only known him a month, cringing at the fact that he loved you, but marriage? It all seemed like it was taken out of an overdramatic soap opera. Marriage would be a last resort if he truly threatened your family. You didn’t care about the gifts and attention he was showing you. Knowing that man was possibly responsible for your friends’ and families’ deaths disgusted you. All you wanted to be was alone, enjoying the small bit of freedom you had left. Away from a monster who considered you his bride.
-----
Serrano had noticed Safin’s obsession with y/n immetidly after Athens. Ever since she not only killed (but removed the expolsive lenses on an atomic bomb), Safin knew he needed her. Serrano had originally thought it was for business but soon learned Safin wanted her as his and his only. He would never say it to Safin’s face, but he pited the poor girl who was forced to love him. Y/n wasn’t some receptionist, but a markswoman with a kill count of over a hundred men. She was also the only person that ever talked back, even sassed, Safin. If one of his soldiers had done that, they would be dead within seconds since Safin had a short temper. But y/n had managed to live (somehow). The last romance Safin was involved in had endly so horribly that he ruined his career as an assassin and was forced to relocate. The last thing Serrano wanted to happen was to see a dead girl. He knew Safin better than anyone else did. Safin was a mysterious man that was unpredictable. But he was determined and would do anything to get what he wanted, whether it be bringing agencies to there knees or marrying a woman who didn’t love him back.
Walking through the hallways, Serrano towered over Safin. Just before there meeting, he saw Safin enter the gardens that he had made for the cyrptographer. He then walked up, seeming annoyed and pissier than usual. The anarchist was stressing over the fact that a woman he truly loved more than anything didn’t love him back. According to Safin, he was going to ask if y/n loved him every night until she said yes.
“Is everything alright, sir?” Serrano asks as he walks down the hallway.
Safin looks up at him, sighing. “Not quite. Y/n is beginning to get on my nerves. She doesn’t appreciate how much I have sacrificed for her. All I ask is for to be my wife and nothing more.”
Before losing his family, Serrano had been married to his university sweetheart. It took them three years to know and trust each other before they married. Safin wasn’t the best with emotions. He was impatient and demanded things to happen. But y/n’s being the woman she was, it didn’t seem like it was going to happen anytime soon.
“You were married,” Safin noted. “How did you get your wife to love you?”
“Patience, honesty, and respect,” Serrano replied. “It took us years before we married. You can’t rush love, it has to happen. You did take him from her home and threaten her family if you didn’t love her.”
“Yes, but it was the only way I could ever have y/n.” Safin tried to justify his actions. He had been hurt so many times over the years that he had become numb to other’s feelings and only thought of his own as important. “I give her gifts, clothing, a garden, and my heart yet all she ever does is scowl at me. I have tried everything I could with her. I was patient, and I’ve had enough.”
“If you want her to geniuenly love you then you cannot force it.” Serrano states. Safin huffed in response. He just wanted to skip past all of the difficulty and tell the world that you were his.
“I have an idea on how to get her to love you. It would be a start.”
Safin raises an eyebrow, nodding for Serrano to go on.
“I’m supposed to go with you to Mykonos this weekend for the shipment of weapons. But, what if y/n goes with you? I can set you up in a villa and even a private, romantic dinner. Take the girl shopping and get to know her better.” He proposes. Safin seemed to like the idea even if he was scared of the cyrotprgapher running off. Y/n had stated that she did need proper clothes that fit her.
“But I know everything I need to know about her.” He remarked.
“Well then tell her about yourself.”
“Y/n lacks interest in me.” The anarchist pointed. He didn’t want to talk about the past and let y/n know about his horrid past even if he had stalked every detail of her life.
“Safin, do you want her to love you or not?” Serrano reiterated. “It won’t happen immediately, but it’s a start. Don’t threaten her family and treat her as if she’s not a prisoner.”
“I have told her she is a guest! Once we marry, she will be the lady of this house.”
“You say that, yet don’t let her leave the island or have any contact with her family.” Serrano points out. Safin hated that he was right. He had a more stable romance than Safin had ever had in his life.
“What I am implying is make her feel like your a normal man taking your girlfriend on a romantic weekend trip.” He clarifies.
“She’s my fiance,” Safin corrects.
Serrano huffs in response. Stopping by the glass range door, the two men see Y/n shooting the pratice targets. Going through the packs of caliber, she had never missed the target once. He takes a glance at y/n before looking at Safin who is simply memroized by her.
“Just...offer it to her. Since you backed her into a corner, she’ll probably say this. But whatever you do, do not treat it like a deal. Treat it...like a normal date with your normal fiance.” With that. Serrano turned around the walked away to leave Safin and Y/n alone.
Safin walked into the empty range with the only occupant being y/n. She was dressed in a white shirt tucked into black cargo pants, aiming for the center of the target. Instead of standing, she curled down as if she were cuddling the weapon. Safin didn’t want to disturb her, watching her shift and fiddle with the trigger. Y/n hands were shaky and sweating, but with a deep breath, she released the trigger and let the bummer fly clean into the bullseye.
Resting the sniper rifle that was bigger then your body, you notice Safin’s eyes meet your form. Even with the noise-canceling headphones, you could tell it was him. Taking them off, you sighed as you wipe the sweat from your forehead. “Safin.”
“Y/n.” He responds, calm and cool. Offering his hand, you accepted it as he pulls up with no issue. Safin always wore bulky clothes that never revealed his form, but he was considerably strong. His hand wanted to hold yours, but you pulled away.
He looked over at the targets, seeing the bullet holes on the dummy. “It’s true. You truly do never miss.”
“That’s a lie.” You spat as you throw your kimono jacket back on. “Use to. Now I’m like a shaky camera.”
“You always doubt yourself, girl.” He grabbed your shoulders and turned you to the target. “My men could never do what you do. Your remarkable young women, truly.”
You shrugged his hands off and began walking towards the exit. “Thanks, I guess.”
“Wait, y/n,” He follows after you. Resiting an eyeroll, you spin on your heel and raise your eyebrows at him. You predicted that he was going to mention something about your appearance or the “wedding”.
“I have to leave the island this weekend for a small business trip. I was wondering if you would want to accompany me.” He offered. “It’s just for the weekend. I know you wanted to get some clothing, which I’m sure I could arrange for.”
“I thought you didn’t want me leaving this island.’ You replied, tying a belt around your jacket.
“You’re getting depressed. I thought you would enjoy a change of pace. But if not, that’s understandable.” Safin lamented as he walked past you. He had truly been looking forward to it. At that point, he had felt like giving up. There was no change y/n was going to fall in love with him, no matter what he did.
“Wait,” You reply, walking behind him. Gently tapping his shoulder, he turned to look into your [y/e/c] orbs. “I...would like to go with you.”
“You...would.”
“I mean, you offered it…” You awkwardly chuckled. If it was an escape off of the dreaded island, you would take it.
A smile appeared on his face as he grabs your hands, putting them to his chest. You looked surprised as your cheeks burn as you feel woozy looking into his milky orbs.
“I’m glad to hear it. We’ll leave first thing tomorrow morning,” Safin said as he lead you out of the shooting range and back to your chambers. He never let go of your hand and held it like you were a couple. In his eyes you were, in yours, you weren’t. But lately the thought had been haunting you. Safin didn’t seem he wanted to hurt you or keep you as a sex slave. As much as he knew about you, you knew little to nothing about him. He made sure you felt comfortable, even introducing you to his closest allies. If you had an issue, Safin was always on top of it. He had threatened to kill your friends and family if you didn’t love him back which still haunted you. But if you were to live your final days out, would it be the worse thing in the world. It wouldn’t be ideal, but it was better than being dead. “Shall I have the maids pack for you?”
“No, I’m fine. I can pack myself,” You nodded, a subtle smile your face. There wasn’t much for you to pack. You really wanted him to let go of your hand, but he still held on. His face looked like a boy with a schoolgirl crush (taken to the next level). “Thank you though.”
After he let go of your hand it moves up to the top of your head and gently pats it. “You’re ever so humble, my sweet.”
Seeing him walk off, you gently shut the door and look into the mirror. Your [y/s/c] skin is becoming grey, clothes careless, and overall look like you just came back from the dead. You were going on a weekend trip with an anarchist who created a romance in his head.
What the hell had gotten yourself into?
------
Like Safin had promised, the two of you left the next morning. None of his men, even Serrano, had come with him. You had no idea that you would be taking a luxurious sailing yacht to the mainland. Coming up from the cabin, you see Safin looking over the bright blue water and cloudless sky. Walking right beside him, he didn’t even bat an eye to your presence. Instead of his traditional kimono and lab outfit, he donned highwasted tan slacks, a long-sleeved navy button-down, sunglasses, and deck mules.
“What island are we going to?” You asked with your hands behind your back.
Safin didn’t look over at you. He was too distracted in his thoughts. Here he was, an infamous anarchist, worried about impressing a girl he’s keeping prisoner. Under his breath, he muttered,  “None of your concern.”
“So you think I’m going to leave you?” You smirk, crossing your arms.
Safin couldn’t make eye contact with you. He wants to say something, but he can’t. Nobody ever talked back to him, except her. His fear was being alone and abandoned all over again. “Yes, you’re a smart girl. Remember your…”
As he turned to say something to y/n, she was already gone with her perfume leaving a lingering scent.
“Place...” He finishes. He’s not speaking to anyone but the air. They hadn’t even arrived at the villa and it seemed like the trip was going to be disastrous. Safin had to think of a plan.
-----
Your boredom was beginning to grow. You arrived at the villa in the early afternoon. It was far from any form of civilization, located in the middle of a hillside. It was luxurious and modern but still kept the Ancient Greek feel. Even if you didn’t know the islands, you were confident that you were in or near the Medterrian. Safin had given you a tour of the villa, showing you the pool and private beach. He had business to deal with and promised to be back by sunset. Patting your head, he was off into town with every door locked but the backyard.
Returning from a brief swim, you notice the sun is beginning to set. It leaves the sky orange and lavender, creating a beautiful hue. Drying your hair against a towel, you’d noticed Safin had been acting rather odd. He seemed more distant and even anxious about being around you. Like a young boy trying to pronounce his love for his crush. Except that you were Safin’s fiance and he was holding you against your will. You didn’t care about the expensive gifts that he used to win you over. Over the years, you refused to focus on anyone but yourself. But if you were to be in a relationship, all you wanted was true and raw love. To be adored and truly cared about. You saw that Safin loved you, but what was his true purpose of keeping you there? Out of all of the women, he could have had, he chooses you; a cyrptographer. Your not Bond or a double oh and would never be near that category. Safin had given you attention that no partner in your life could have ever given to you. But he threatened you and kept you in a Submarine pen as his forced bride.
No. You couldn’t love a monster. Marrying him didn’t mean you loved him.
It was for Bond, Nomi, Q, [y/m/n], [y/s/n], all of the people you had let die because of a catostrophic mistake.
Walking into your pristine bedroom, you notice an item on the bed you hadn’t seen before. It was a dress and a white note with rose petals spread on the bed. You roll your eyes, sighing at Safin’s dramatic attempt at romance. This man knew that you weren’t going to sleep him with anytime soon. Picking up the note it read,
“Follow the candles
Down the beach
A gift for you and only you
See you at seven my dear y/n,
Safin”
Oh god! He had left a heart by your name. It was cheesy and cringey. His attempts at romance were a hit or miss. Looking at the dress on the bed it looked like it cost more than your life. It was a navy blue satin dress that was lowcut and backless. It was long and had a confident slip. The dress reminded you of what the female double oh’s would wear out on missions. Classy and quite sexy. The most revealing outfit you had worn to work as a skirt an inch above your knee with tights. Both of your legs always stay covered since you found them embarrassing, but they would somewhat exposed tonight. Then again, Safin’s face was horribly disfigured. He thought you were one of the most beautiful women he had laid eyes on (which you found hard to believe).
Putting on the dress, you head towards the bathroom to do your hair and look somewhat presentable. You had been dressing like a man for the past month and needed something refreshing. A few minutes later you had pieced together a simple, yet elegant look. You left your hair loose and applied a bit of mascara and eyeliner. To match with the navy blue dress, you applied a daring red lipstick. Instead of looking like a young boy, you appeared more of a nervous teenage girl preparing for a dance. The dangling pearl earrings you wore matched with the ring necklace Safin had gifted you. You had a strong belief he had chosen this outfit for you. Of course Safin would do something like that for you.
After you finished getting ready, you leave behind the villa and notice a trail of white candles leading you down to the beach. The beach is dark, but the candles guide you to the only visible light. You saw Safin as he paced around a candlelit table. He wore a short-sleeved olive button up and black dress pants.
Hearing the clicks of your sandals, Safin turned around to lay his eyes on y/n. All of his worries had suddenly gone away, breath taken by her sheer appearance. She was already beautiful in his eyes, but there was something that was different about her specifically tonight. The dress complimented her fit body well, showing a sliver of her thigh and cleavage. Your lips were a nice shade of red as it gave a pop of color to your outfit.
Safin snapped out of his thoughts and pulled himself together. He walked up to y/n to get a closer look and greet her. “Good evening Y/n,” Safin greeted. He grabbed her hand, leaving a kiss mark on her soft skin. “You look lovely, as always.”
“Thank you, Safin,” Y/n thanked, her voice low. She had never experienced such a romantic gesture before. “You look..nice.”
Nice. Nice. Nice.
Those words rung through his head. He nearly froze and almost mentally broke down. Y/n had complimented him. Not a sassy remark, but admired his appearance. Not once in his previous relationship did his ex-lover compliment the way he looked. He thought his face was too repellent to be complimented, let alone loved. But here was his fiance, shining like a bright star, boosting his ego.
Safin smiled in response, leading the cartographer to her chair and pushing her in. His hand tenderly finessed your bare shoulder. “Says the woman speaking.”
The two of you sat at the candlelit table on the beach. A waiter came over and poured the two of a class of red wine.
“So I’m assuming you weren’t doing business..” You remarked, taking a sip of the wine. It had been months since you’d had been drunk, which had let Q forcing you to enroll in therapy once again.
“I was. I’m bringing military smuggled weapons for the recruits. You are allowed to experiment with them if you please,” Safin said, “But I had planned this for the two of us. I wanted to give you the best since you deserve the best.”
You wouldn’t lie, the dinner was quite nice and romantic. What girl didn’t dream of being spoiled on the beach? Did Safin spoil you to slide away from the fact that you were his prisoner? It didn’t make any sense.
You huffed, looking down as you spun the wine in your glass around. “Why did you even bring me out here in the first place? To have your way with me?”
The anarchist furrowed an eyebrow, “Force me upon you? Y/n, I’m not as brutish as you believe me to be. I brought you here because I saw you...become dispirited. I know my island can void of all life. It pained me to see you in such a pained state. I thought a break from isolation and so called “retail therapy” would raise your spirits.”
“I wanted to bring you here since it was more intimate than the Submarine pen. I want you to feel...comfortable around me. You can deny as much as you want, but I know I unnerve you with my appearance.”
“The hell?” You puzzled, a little confused. There was no denying his scars were obvious. Seeing his arms and neck, they decorated his whole body. Upon first seeing them, you were taken aback. Nobody had ever seen his face except for you and his men. Was he truly insecure?
Safin looked into your sighs and sighed, “What I’m saying is that I know I make you uncomfortable. Here you are, a gorgeous young woman. What am I? A misshapen and hideous animal. If that’s the reason wh-”
“Ok, back it up,” You interrupted. “I never said those things about your appearance. Your face doesn’t bother me at all…”
“What do you mean?” Safin perplexed. His ex-lover hated his appearance and was afraid if they convevinced then the child would be just like this.
“Your face is fine the way it is. When I look you…” You’re at a loss for words, but gather yourself. “I see a..man. Not an animal, a man. Here..”
Getting up, you walk over to Safin and pull the slit of your scandalous slit to reveal your prosthetic. You had forgotten the skin slip, so it was more exposed than usual. Hating your leg, you always wore pants and socks to conceal a memory you wanted to lock away. Most of your leg had been spared except for everything below your knee.
Safin’s green eyes looked at your prosthetic, surprised. Your record never mentioned a prosthetic, nor did you. He knew about your time in the military but never knew why you had left for a desk job. “Your leg...I’m sorry. I never knew.” He apologized.
You shrugged before returning to your seat. “It’s not the worst. I could had lost my ability to walk, but I didn’t. I choose not to tell people. I rather have lost a limb than die.”
“If you mind me asking, Did you loose in it the battle?’
You nodded. “I was twenty-three, so around six years ago. Me and my team were on a sting operation in Iraq. It turned out to be a damn trap. Most of us had been caught off guard. A suicide bomber ran up to our captain and...everything went dark. I was stuck under the rubble for three days, I couldn’t feel anything below my waist. The only person who survived on my team was me and another man.”
“It was too traumatizing. I refused to be on the field. They discharged me and let me and my family with medical bills and a broken girl. After therapy, I went to study in Edinburgh and try to live somewhat of a normal life. I majored in Language and My don informed me about an opening proposition in London for M16. They needed a cyrtoprgapher, someone who could speak the military language. I knew a tad bit of coding, so I packed everything, and well, the rest is history. Now I’m here.” You casually explained. Over the years, losing your leg had become numb to you. You hated showing your emotions in front of other.
“You never told me. I’m sorry, I truly never knew about your leg.” He sounded sympathetic, not condescending. The only person at M16 that knew about your leg was Q, your closest friend.
Your shoulders loose there tension as your expression softens. Did Safin...truly not know about your leg. “It’s not a big deal…” There was a silence between you, before you reverted back to your typical self. “I thought you knew everything about me.”
“I want to know everything about you, y/n.” Safin responded. His hand laid on the side of the table, itching to lay on top of yours. “When I first saw you, I was intrigued. You don’t see a woman of your stature, jumping rooftops with a gun bigger than your whole body.”
“You know everything about me. My flat address, military background, fuck...even my clothing size. But enough about me..” You looked at Safin, staring into his eyes. “Tell me about yourself.”
“I would bore you with it.” He refused. “I’m sure the last thing you want to hear is me talk about myself.”
“If I’m going to be stuck with you forever, then I expect to know a little about my....fiance.” You said. You held back the vomit that was coming up from your throat. All you spoke was the truth. Safin was truly a man of mystery. His scars, lair, past, everything truly intrigued you.
“I suppose it’s only fair, my betrothed.” He smirks as he grabbed your hand giving it a small sqeeuze Flirting was definitely not your strong suit (nor was acting). Holding back a fight, you reluctantly agree. Everything came at a price.
“I was born in Egypt and brought over a ship to Switzerland. I never had any parents, or family. Me and some other young men were the test subjects of Hans Heinrich …”
“ Dr.Heinrich? The Nazi human experimenter?” You asked. Heinrich had embedded his name in the world of espionage. After World War Two ended, he had fled to Switzerland to continue his sick experiments. His men smuggled young children that weren’t part of the Aryan race and perfomed all kinds of experiments on their bodies for “science” and other horrifying facts.
Safin nodded in response, squeezing your hand for comfort. “Unfournealty. He believed in genetic cloning, wanting to carry on the Aryan race. He smuggled young children from all over the world. As long as they weren’t white, they qualified to be tested upon. He burned, amputated, drugged, posioned whoever he had to for science.  Many of the test subjects had died. It was like a concentration camp. I was a scrawny, young boy who couldn’t even squeeze a lemon. I was weak and naive. I was Heinrich’s favorite lab rat. Whenever I didn’t comply with his orders, he would burn me. The injections he put in my skin irritated and scared them. All I wanted was death’s sweet release.”
“So When I turned twenty, I killed him and set the place ablaze. I escaped into the Swiss Alps and learned to survive on my own. Before I joined Spectre, I took on the job as an assassin for personal gain. I had met Blofield and he supplied me well for four decades. After I left Spectre, I returned to Switzerland to find that Heinrich’s work was still alive. I thought he had been crazy and just a sadist, but he...had cloned me. The reason I didn’t die and my skin wrinkled as a teenager was because I was rapidly aging. The blood he had kept of some of the lab rats was still somehow useable. On my island, we experimented and had made our first clones. The maids, the recruits, they’re all clones of Heinrich’s lab rats. When I die..my body and skills will forever live on. I appear as If I’m in my thirties, but...I’m in my sixties.”
You raised your eyebrows, intrigued with the story. It was definitely not what you had been expecting. Safin was so unpredictable, so he could have had any backstory. You couldn’t believe Safin was abused as a child, permenatly scaring him and drove him to kill his abuser. As much as he hated his abuser, he proceeded to carry on his genetic cloning work.
“Are you a Nazi?” You asked.
He shook his head. “No. But Heinrich’s work...it was full of possibilities. I wanted to turn an ugly creature into a beautiful butterfly. Genetic cloning is the future. When I eradicate the world of people such as Heinrich and clone people such as myself, the world be will tidy once again. We can live together, in harmony.” He brings your hand close to face, leaning into your palm to feel your satiny, floral smelling skin.
“Your tidying a world that has always been corrupt. No matter what, there will be corruption.” You implied.
Safin responded. “Y/n, you know so much, yet so little. That is why I saved you. You are a woman the world needs. Intelligent, strong, powerful, and beautiful. With you by my side, we can dominate the people who have wronged us. There is no going back now, my dear. We are far past the point of no return.”
Was Safin going to clone you? The man was insane. You tried to sympathize with him, but your head and heart screamed all red flags. Broken, all Safin ever wanted was to show the world that he could make them feel the pain he had felt as a child. Safin was an anarchist who wanted the world to be in his imagine, full of people such as yourself and him for a “perfect” future. All Safin would most likely get is a dystopian, war-torn globe. But he had taken down countless of organizations and govermtnets in post-soviet countries, especially the one you had worked for. Maybe he truly was one step away from world domination.
“It’s getting late. We should retire.” Safin announced. You snapped out of your thoughts and nodded, sliding your hand away from his. The Seabreeze was strong during the night. In your revealing slip dress, to say you were freezing was an understatement. While feeling confident, you were freezing your ass off. Safin had given you his coat, which you proceeded to take off.
You remember his whispered into your ear as his calloused, cold hands massaged your bare shoulders. “Don’t resist, my sweet y/n.”
When you arrived at your room, you sighed in relief to be back in your villa. It was warm, and you didn’t feel so exposed. The dinner was wonderful in many ways. Learning about Safin, your finance, plans for world domination through cloning was bone-chilling. Thousands of people to choose, and he chose you, the unlucky one.
But with the life he had given you, were you truly unlucky?
“Safin, dinner was wonderful. Thank you.” You thanked, a small smile on your face. Your expecting him to ask the dreaded question he knows you hate. But now that you were both alone, he wasn’t going to hold himself back.
He bows his head, before looking back up. “No, thank you. I have a simple request to ask of you. Will you kiss me?”
Raising your eyebrows, it takes you a second to process the request he has asked of you. You don’t respond since your in shock. He wasn’t afraid to grab your hand or play with your hair, but kiss you? That was a huge step.
“Just once, and I won’t ask again.” Safin said as you snapped out of your little daydream. “You looked so lovely tonight. I bet your [y/m/n] would think so as well…”
Your mother. You hadn’t through about her in a while, too distracted with Safin. The reason you didn’t want to think about her was that the poor woman was probably dying each day, worried about your safety. Knowing that you would never see her again depressed you. Safin was sadly your new life. If he didn’t get his way then you would have to suffer. You suffered for the sake of your family.
“I suppose if it only happens once.” You replied, looking down.
Safin hadn’t kissed a woman in years but knew how to properly woo a woman. He knew you were doing it for your mother and sister. But tonight you were irresistible in your dress. Seeing the ring necklace and red lipstick would make any man mad, he had someone so beautiful as you all to himself. Pushing your hair behind your ear, he grabbed your chin as your red lips met with his.
Safin was not a kisser you were expecting. Seeing him as a brute, you expected him to have his way. But instead, he was tender and even loving. He hadn’t grabbed you in any vulgar way. In the first few seconds, your mind told you to not enjoy the kiss. But you began to ignore your mind and listened to your heart. Safin was a cruel man but a toxic lover. He knew you as well as you knew yourself. To stabilize yourself, you wrapped an arm around his neck. In response, Safin’s hand snaked to your exposed lower back. His hands began to travel dangerously close to your bottom. The more his hands traveled down, the hungrier he got into the kiss. You backed up against a wall, feeling his surprisingly soft lips. A part of you enjoyed the kiss but remembered that Safin was a monster. You shouldn’t have been doing this. A small kiss was turning into a full-on make-out session.
As your hands traveled to your chest, Safin’s lips moved away from your lips as he held onto your hips. Small pieces of hair fell from his neatly gelled hair. His breathing pattern was heavier, right up against your body.
His eyes looked down at your frame, seeing your cheeks burn up. A smile curves onto his face as his hand caresses your cheek. You don’t feel yourself, like your in a sick dream. You lean into his hand, feeling exhausted.
“Oh y/n, y/n, my love..” He purred into your ear in his husky, accented voice. “I cannot wait for the day I see you in your wedding dress.”
His hand moves away from your face as he walks down the hallway to retire his chambers. Safin had disappeared into the night after your very intimate moment. That was the first time in years you had truly felt adrenaline rush through your body. But it wasn’t just adrenaline. It was a sick, twisted form of warmth. You felt like a young woman in love with a teacher. Your romance was forbidden. Safin was a monster who wanted to wipe the world and leave it in his name. He had turned your life upside down, forcing you to be his bride. Safin was a greedy and evil man, someone you would never be attracted to. A part of you hated him and wanted to do nothing more than watch him pay for his actions. You couldn’t believe that your thoughts you even come to this, but a small part of believed you were falling for Safin. A beauty falling for the evil beast.
Can you write a fic where Hermione has a row with Ron and she was wrong? She is doing everything she can so he can stop ignoring her and tries to apologise.
Why, yes I can, Anon! I really liked your prompt so I kind of went to town with it. Sorry if this is longer than you expected.
My ask box is open!
***** Desperate Measures
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
At least that’s what Hermione kept telling herself to justify taking the day off of work. Not only that, she lied to her boss, and told him she was sick. It wasn’t a total lie, she did feel ill. But not for the reasons implied to her boss. As far as she knew, nausea due to shame and guilt wasn’t contagious.
Shame and guilt. That’s that real reason Hermione was at home, making an epic mess in her kitchen on a Friday afternoon. She wasn’t nearly as good at baking spells as Mrs. Weasley, and she was currently regretting turning down all of her past attempts to pass that wisdom onto her.
Hermione was stuck baking the muggle way, and it was probably going to be terrible, because Ron was used to the best treacle tarts in the world, and this was truly a sad attempt.
At least she had a second gift for Ron, if the treacle tarts turned out to be a disaster. A pair of tickets to the Chudley Cannons game this weekend was sure to get him talking to her again.
After setting the treacle tart into the oven, Hermione placed two plates on the table and lit a candle. She had picked up Ron’s favorite brand of wine, and put the envelope with the Chudley Cannons tickets onto the table between them.
It seemed like an extreme gesture, but this was not the first olive branch that Hermione had extended this week.
It had been four days since the fight. On Monday Hermione was startled by Ron’s abrupt entrance into their flat. She knew he had plans with his brothers that evening, but hadn’t expected him to arrive home so late. And even worse, so drunk.
*****
On Monday evening Ron arrived home muttering something about having too many gin and tonics at the bar. He collapsed onto the couch and was asleep before Hermione could argue with him. She was mildly annoyed that he didn’t communicate his timeline with her, but she was willing to let it go, even though that meant sleeping in their giant bed alone.
They didn’t interact the next morning, sinceHermione had an early day at work and Ron wasn’t supposed to be in until later, so she didn’t think much of him sleeping in. At least until later that afternoon when she came home and he was still there.
She woke him up immediately upon her return.
“Ron!”
“Hmmmph,” he grunted in his sleep.
“Why are you still sleeping?”
“What?” said Ron a little more clearly.
“Ron! It’s three in the afternoon! Why aren’t you at work?”
“Wait a minute,” said Ron groggily. “It’s three? In the afternoon?”
“Yes! And you’re supposed to be at work!”
Ron groaned as he carefully lifted himself to a seat. “Fuck, I slept in,” he muttered.
“You think?” Hermione said shrilly.
“I need to owl my boss,” said Ron, as he cautiously rose to his feet. “But first, I’m going to be sick,” he said as he ran off toward the loo.
Hermione was fuming when he reentered the living room looking somewhat presentable. “I can’t believe you got so drunk on a weekday and missed work--”
“Hermione--”
“Really, how could you be so irresponsible? You could get fired for this.”
“Hermione, please stop,” Ron said while he scribbled his note to his boss. “I feel guilty enough, I don’t need you to make me feel worse.”
“Well you should feel guilty!”
“HERMIONE.” She froze at the harshness of his tone. “Please stop. I don’t need you guilting me. Seriously, it feels like we’re in school and I missed an assignment.”
“This is far worse than that, Ron,” she said gravely.
“Do you even remember why I was out yesterday?”
“Does it matter??” said Hermoine. Truthfully, she didn’t remember why he had gone out with his brothers during the week, or why that minor detail would even be important right now.
“I can’t believe you.” After owling his boss, Ron turned toward the bedroom.
“Where are you going,” asked Hermione, following him.
“Well I’m going to work, Hermione. And I’m packing a bag, to spend the night at George’s.”
“And why would you do that?”
Ron halted, and turned back to face her. “Because he doesn’t micromanage me like you do.” Ron said as he shoved a change of clothes into an overnight bag.
“Ron--”
“Plus, he needs a brother right now.”
Hermione didn’t have time to respond before Ron disappeared. She was still angrier than ever and couldn’t believe he would be so dismissive and irresponsible.
It wasn’t until later that day when she checked her calendar that she realized the date, and felt her stomach tighten in guilt. It was April second. Ron must have spent the last night at the bar with George to celebrate his birthday, so he didn’t have to celebrate it alone.
Since he never mentioned the reason to her, he must have assumed she knew. He probably expected her to understand, and rightfully so.  But instead, she jumped to the conclusion that Ron was irresponsible and neglectful, when he was really just taking time to grieve with his brother.
He continued to sleep at George’s, which concerned her, and she wanted him back. The next day after their argument, she appeared in his office at lunch time to ask him to eat with her. She even brought a sandwich from his favorite deli, but he told her he had a work meeting and would eat it later.
She left him to it, but later saw him eating lunch with Harry and a few other employees at the ministry cafe. Her first instinct was to be angry at his, but instead she just felt hurt. Then she became more determined to make it right.
The next day Hermione left a note on his desk for him to see when he arrived at work. It was simple, and didn’t say much, other than the fact that she missed him and wanted him back home. Unfortunately for her, Ron had to spend the day in the field, and didn’t even come to the office. She wouldn’t have known that, of course, because he was still staying with George.
Yesterday, Hermione left even earlier than usual to make a stop at the bakery that Ron loved so much. She bought a chocolate croissant for both herself and Ron, and just like the note, delivered his to his desk that morning. She hoped he’d be in this morning to enjoy it.
On her lunch break, she received an owl from Ron, which simply told her that he was planning on coming home the next day, and they could discuss everything then. She was unable to work at all, caught up in her anxiety overthinking what Ron could possibly mean by “discuss.” What did they even need to discuss?
Her anxiety grew into guilt and shame for getting angry at him for missing work and not understanding that Fred’s birthday would come with a heavy dose of grief for him. That’s when she decided to play sick-- something she’d never done before, and stay home the next day to make sure Ron would return knowing how much he meant to her.
*****
Funny that she was now the one missing work. How irresponsible of her. She couldn’t help but feel a little bit like a hypocrite.
When the oven sounded, she turned back into the kitchen to remove them, and nervously awaited Ron’s return.
She heard the door open and whipped around to see him standing there. He looked miserable. His hair was disheveled, his clothes were messy, and his expression was worn out and exhausted. She wanted to hug him, but didn’t know if that would be welcome at the moment. She opened her mouth to say something, but all that came out was a lame sounding “Hi.”
“Hi,” he said back, as he dropped his bag to the floor side the door. She hated when he did that, but it wasn’t the time. “Rough day. Well, rough week, actually.”
She walked forward to hug him. He wrapped his arms around her, but noted a certain stiffness in his embrace. They still had things to talk about. “I’ve missed you,” she mumbled into his shoulder. “I’m glad you came back.”
“Yeah, well. I missed you too.” He pulled away and looked at the table over her shoulder. “What’s all this?”
Hermione pulled away and looked him in the eye. “Because you’re mad at me. I wanted to do something nice for you so you’d forgive me.”
“Hermione--”
“You lied to me about not being able to go to lunch that day. And you didn’t see my note, and obviously the chocolate croissant wasn’t a big enough gesture--”
“Hermione please stop.”
She paused and looked up at him with hurt in her eyes. “What?”
“Just listen. Please.”
Hermione nodded.
“You didn’t need to do any of that. Yeah, I was angry at you, but mostly just hurt that you reprimanded me. I shouldn’t have gotten too drunk on a weeknight, and I shouldn’t have slept in and missed work, but It was Fred and George’s birthday, Hermione. Only the second one since Fred passed and George didn’t want to spend it alone.”
Hermione had tears in her eyes by the time he finished. “I realize that now! I do, I just didn’t realize it at the time. I just thought you were being--”
“Irresponsible. I know.”
Hermione nodded.
“I was Hermione. But guess what, I’m going to be irresponsible every now and then. You’ll just have to accept that. I will learn from those times and I don’t need you to make me feel worse. I hate it when you do that. It reminds me of being in school when you would reprimand me for breaking rules. As an adult it feels a bit condescending to be honest.”
“I just didn’t want you to lose your job.”
“I didn’t Hermione. Because unlike you, my boss was very understanding. Harry told him everything.”
She ignored Ron’s little jab and pressed on. It would be unproductive to add fuel to to another argument. “But why did you have to stay at George’s for a whole week?” Hermione pleaded.
“Because I knew it would happen again. I am still grieving him, and I will be for a while. This week was very hard on George too, and he needed a brother with him. ”
Hermione nodded. It made so much sense now. “Why could you tell me?”
“I needed to be with someone who wouldn’t judge me for drinking a little too much this week, because I knew it would happen. I know it’s not the best way to deal with everything, but having you guilt me about it would only make it worse.”
Hermione flung herself into Ron’s arms. “I’m so sorry Ron.” His grip on her was tighter now, more secure and loving, which sent a wave of relief down her spine.
“That’s all you needed to say,” said Ron, pulling her closer.
“What was?”
“Sorry. You just needed to say sorry.”
Hermione pulled out of the hug to press a kiss to his lips. He kissed her back lovingly. .
When they resurfaced Hermione asked, “So you didn’t like my note? Or the Croissant? Or this dinner, for that matter? I even picked up your favorite wine and--”
“It feels a bit like you’re bribing me to forgive you, to be honest,” he interrupted.
Hermione hadn’t thought of that. “So you didn’t like it?”
“Oh I did, don’t get me wrong. But hearing you admit you were wrong was even better.”
Hermione laughed. “Yeah, well it’s harder for me to do that than it is to buy you chocolate and cook you dinner.”
“Exactly. That’s why it means so much,” he said with another kiss.
“Well in that case, I guess you don’t need the treacle tart I just pulled out of the oven,” said Hermione.
“Well I wouldn’t want it to go to waste,” he replied, flashing that lopsided grin that Hermione loved so much.
“Ok, we’ll have the treacle tart. But since you’ve already forgiven me, we don’t need the Chudley Cannons tickets…”
“Hold on… you got tickets?”
Hermione nodded smiling.
“For when?”
“Tomorrow’s game.”
Ron beamed. “You really did?”
“But I wouldn’t want you to feel bribed into forgiving me,” she said coyly.
“I take it back,” he said, as he passed around her to reach for the envelope on the table. “You can bribe me.” Ron opened the envelope and gasped. “Hermione these are fantastic seats.”
“So you still want them?” she said hopefully.
“Of course I do!” Ron’s face fell. “There’s just one problem.”
“What is it?”
“I told George I’d spend the day with him tomorrow. I’m so sorry, I really want to go with you.”
“You know what?” said Hermione. “Take George to the game. He could use the distraction.”
“Are you sure?” asked Ron, his face lighting up in excitement.
‘Yes. Tell him I say happy birthday too.”
“Hermione, he’s going to love it. Thank you,” he told her, pulling her into another hug.
“It’s the least I can do,” said Hermione, secretly relieved that she didn’t have to go to the Cannons game, and could spend the day tomorrow reading instead. “Take him out for a drink after too, ok? On me.”
“Really?”
Hermione nodded. “I was wrong before.”
Ron smiled and kissed her deeply. “I love hearing you say that,” he laughed.
Hermione laughed too. “Well maybe I should say it more often then,” she said as she kissed him again.
Desperate times call for desperate measures, but sometimes the desperate measure could be as simple as an apology.
Writing Dialogue
While some choices in dialogue will come down to style preference, most fanfic dialogue suffers from a much earlier problem of being done incorrectly, no matter what the stylistic preference. Once basic spelling & grammar is mastered, and assuming the fic contains more than a handful of dialogue, I think bad dialogue is the thing that kills my enjoyment the fastest. I can handwave plotholes and understand emotions that weren’t conveyed right, but I can’t read people having a conversation that doesn’t look anything like an actual human conversation.
Problem 1: Too Much Drama
We want our scenes to pulse with energy! Of course we want the dialogue to be dramatic! The problem here is, what makes for good dramatic dialogue is not people yelling powerful words at each other very passionately. What makes for dramatic dialogue is mostly the importance of that scene to the plot & the characters, so to achieve dramatic dialogue, the best thing you can do is not overly rely on the dialogue itself to be dramatic. Set up a dramatic situation, and then people don’t have to yell. They can say a few basic sentences and the audience already knows why it is important and why the characters care so much.
Have you ever seen the scene in The Room where Tommy Wiseau yells “You’re tearing me apart, Lisa!” Did you actually find that dramatic or did it just make you laugh because it was overdramatized? That’s what dramatic dialogue does to a story. Unless your characters are middle schoolers exclaiming it out in the hall between classes, chances are, older and more mature characters aren’t going to do a lot of yelling or make weirdly dramatic statements like the world is ending.
One of the biggest offenses on this count is overusing exclamation points and overusing emphasis. Exclamation points should be used very, very rarely, as should telling your reader what words are meant to be emphasized. Your character’s mood should primarily come through action - are they slamming doors, pacing back and forth, collapsing into a chair? Dialogue tags like “shouted” or “replied angrily” can be used to help, but should not stand on their own as the only thing portraying mood.
Instead of looking like this: “OMG! Can you believe it! Drama! Let me scream all the drama out in a monologue!” Lisa screamed, it should look like *Lisa kicks off her shoes, one leaves a mark on the wall* *Lisa slams bag down on counter, opens fridge for beer* *Lisa’s boyfriend stands frozen, as this is not normally how Lisa comes home from work. “This thing happened.” *Lisa collapses into kitchen chair and sticks head in her hands.* *Lisa’s boyfriend comes to put a hand on her back*. “One sentence reminding reader why Lisa is upset about this”.
Problem 2: Too Little Drama
Alternatively, you get scenes that sometimes look like two college roommates got high and are trying to acquire a pizza with as little effort as possible. Let’s say, for example, you have one character that has a crush on another character, and they are trying to find out information about them. While maybe the character learning this information is going to do something with it, so it’s important to the plot in another way, so the conversation itself does not need to be dramatic, it might end up looking like this:
I met Crush after class and we walked together. “What’s your favorite color?” - “Red” - “Do you like dogs?” - “Yes. Did you do the homework?” - “Yes. Math is my favorite class. How about you?” - “P.E.”
Like with the above, setup and action are everything. If you set up the scene where we know in advance how long it has taken Karen to get up the courage to talk to Chad and things like that, and then include actions in between the dialogue to show that she is nervous and therefore not very talkative, like her glancing up at him briefly but looking away as soon as he makes eye contact, or have her analyze Chad’s mood and wonder if he’s annoyed, etc, the scene can be made much more meaningful without needing to be a “dramatic” scene.
Problem 3: Dialogue is written like exposition
This tends to go unnoticed by some authors who are otherwise decent, and for me really ruins an otherwise decent story. The writing within the dialogue tags is written well, it just isn’t written like dialogue. It is written like exposition/narration.
In exposition: This project was doomed from the beginning. The improvements might look nice on paper, but the law of diminishing returns was going to stop it before it really started. Sounds...not excellent, I just pulled an example out of my ass, but fine.
In dialogue: “I think this project is doomed already,” Bob said, looking around the meeting room. “The improvements might look nice on paper, but the law of diminishing returns is going to stop it before it really starts.”
...sounds like Bob is kind of a psycho, or possibly your most pompous and hated coworker. Who the hell says “Law of Diminishing Returns” out loud if they aren’t a professor? The longer the dialogue and more flowery/technical/big vocab it becomes, which often *adds* to exposition, the worse and more unnatural the dialogue becomes.
Dialogue should not feel the same as the “speech” when a character is thinking. We tend to be fairly limited in how we express ourselves, use shorter and more simple sentence structures, more basic vocabulary, and haven’t memorized what we are going to say, so it doesn’t come out eloquently.
The one real exception to this that isn’t really dialogue, but is speech, is if you have a character making a speech or presentation, which they have prepared for in advance, and it is reasonable for them to give it uninterrupted.
If you want to make a point of one of your characters sounding like a total tool when they speak, you can also do this to achieve that and make it immediately clear to the audience why everyone hates them, but unless that’s what you’re going for, avoid this at all costs.
Problem 4: Dialogue is otherwise unnatural
Always, always, until you’re pretty damn sure you’re pretty damn good at it, say your dialogue out loud.
Would that personally really say “What is that?” or is it “What’s that?” Along the lines of not needing to use emphasis as much as you might think, if you were, say, in Scotland and just saw the Loch Ness monster pop out and want to ask your companion what it is, “What is that?” is fairly unnecessary. “What is that?” suffices. The simple fact that you didn’t use the standard contraction means the character emphasized the “is”. If you just see a piece of mail on someone’s desk that you are curious about, you’re going to say “What’s that?” and it won’t sound like you are dramatically asking about a generic piece of mail.
There are lots of very minor and small things that can easily go wrong in dialogue of this nature. It’s really important to say to yourself: if I was in this situation, how would I say it? Read it like you are acting it out in a movie and see. Also, question if a person would even say a sentence like that to begin with, or if they would be more or less direct in their approach. More direct is appropriate in many cases because people are usually trying to communicate clearly. Even if they are lying, they usually just say a direct statement that is a lie, they don’t dance around it indirectly and give hints to the other character. More indirect is appropriate when a character is trying to have a difficult conversation - we don’t tend to give tough advice or be directly rude, we try to work around it to make it sound better.
Because people want to have “exciting” or “cool” dialogue, they will often also give characters great rebuttals all the time, where they have these snappy conversations. This *can* work, but it’s really hard to pull off well, so in general I’d limit it to having a character having the occasional good rebuttal than a conversation of back-and-forth snark. Honestly, most of us just can’t think on our feet that well, and unless you’ve built the case that these characters can [ie, they’ve been married 20 years and are having the same arguments over and over so have it all thought out] it just seems very unrealistic.
Problem 5: Underutilizing dialogue tags
If you have two characters speaking, theoretically, if we know who the first speaker is and they switch off, a reader can follow the conversation indefinitely and know who is speaking.
In practice, that doesn’t happen. We like to be occasionally reminded. Personally, I try to max out at four consecutive lines of untagged speech, so no more than:
“Hey” said Kyle when he saw Brad.
“Hey.”
“What are you doing tonight?”
“Partying, bro, what did you think?”
“Haha, true. Do you think Lindsey will be there?”
“Man, you have such a crush on her,” Brad laughed.
Problem 6: Overusing dialogue tags
Conversely, in a conversation that is easy to follow, every single line does not need to be followed by a variation of “X person said”. If you are going for a tight back and forth conversation where neither character is thinking in between, you want to gum it up as little as possible with extraneous non-conversation. Hit us with occasional dialogue tags, and that’s it.
Problem 7: Not breaking dialogue up
This is somewhat of a style question, but in general, conversations should only be quick back and forth when that’s the point, but otherwise should generally pause briefly to “show” people doing actions, give some character thoughts, or otherwise break it up so the entire scene isn’t just a conversation.
Also, you can use these pauses as a way of showing hesitation/actual pauses that happen in the conversation.
Problem 8: Huge breaks between dialogue
This is something I am probably the *most* guilty of myself, because I’m writing a story where characters analyze the other characters a lot, so sometimes they’ll pause and think for a while in between. I haven’t quite arrived at the level where I’ve figured out how to get that all to flow in a way that breaks the dialogue up nicely, but not so much it is jarring and you’ve forgotten what the last thing a character said was.
But, anyway, definitely something to keep in mind. While a scene shouldn’t usually be all conversation, breaking the conversation up too much makes it feel like it isn’t a conversation at all.
1: Also I would VERY MUCH love to hear more of your thoughts on season 3. It always annoys me to NO END how people who hate them think that fans love them for their season 3 relationship despite the fact that other fans have mentioned numerous times that it's not because they thought their relationship was perfect, but that they didn't get a real chance where both of them were at a better place in their life.
Continued: It's very obvious in the season that their relationship actually DOES work in the sense that they get along when there's no outside pressures in the form of Lorelai/Dean, that they actually like spending time with each other and do dates, but the issue is that we never got enough of that, only the big arguments were placed in the forefront which imo is unfair because it further gives people 'proof' that Dean saying that Jess treats her 'like trash' is true, when in fact it's very much not (also it's just obvious shipper bias how many people, particularly r*gans love focusing on the negative aspects of Lit but just sweep aside all the issues Logan has in seasons 5/6, hell even in season 7 with how he proposed to Rory and then immediately ended their long term relationship when she couldn't say yes to him). It's also more than justified for fans to be intrigued of the possibility of older Lit when both Jess and Rory have their own lives that are more separate from the influence of Stars Hollow/Jess's turbulent past, because not only is Jess more mature, more open and just more stable and sure of himself, Rory now has to make decisions for herself and not based off of what Lorelai or anyone else says for her to do. And, although I'm in the minority with this opinion, even though Rory's writing in AYITL was awful in terms of fleshing out how and just why she is at this state, without allowing people to be more sympathetic, I'm not gonna suddenly go against her being with Jess simply because people think he 'pined' for her all these years when it's clear that he's not holding his life back for her, but merely in his own way, will always love her. And what I mentioned about her and Jess finally having a relationship that isn't influenced by anyone outside of it still stands for this, especially when Rory's gotta put her life back together now and Jess would imo offer support, the same way she tried to do it when he was younger and unsure of his capabilities. But yeah even discrediting AYITL, an adult relationship between them would truly be a positive thing
Okay I’ve had my morning coffee so I am ready + this is definitely going to warrant a read more!
Exactly!! I have never seen anyone claim their season 3 relationship was great. We don’t get to see them just be happy and hanging out together – even though we’re explicitly told they’re together often – unless it’s to set up conflict and I think a big part of that comes from the fact that Milo was already being written out of the show before the characters even got together.
They’ve always liked just spending time together and I love how that ends up being a constant thread throughout their relationship, be it in a romantic context or not, with season 4 being an obvious exception but at that point they were still confronting the completely unresolved ending to their relationship. But anyway, getting back to season 3...
Let me just repeat myself here: Dean cast a looming shadow over the entirety of the Rory and Jess relationship in season 3. That’s not to say that they would have been together forever if Dean hadn’t been there because I think it was inevitable for their paths to diverge (and eventually come back together!) – of course it would have been nice for them to grow together but in terms of canon, I actually like that they got to experience life independent of each other. However, Dean’s presence definitely exacerbated the issues in the Rory and Jess relationship. (I don’t mean to frame this in a way that everything wrong with Rory and Jess’ relationship has to do with Dean, I’m just examining the ways in which his role in the narrative had an influence on their relationship)
The Dean/Rory/Jess love triangle had been building up for almost a year by the time we get to 3x07 so we as viewers are ready for it to culminate in a big, dramatic, exciting way and it certainly delivers in that regard because it made for good television but it’s a shaky starting point for Rory and Jess. Before Rory even has time to cry to her mother, or even just tell her mother about the breakup with Dean, she’s already swept up in a new relationship. For that reason, an interesting “what-if” to consider is what if Dean had ended the relationship once he realised she liked Jess in 2x18? But that doesn’t happen, so from this point on Rory slowly becomes aware of her growing feelings for Jess while still being in a relationship with Dean and she feels guilty, obviously! Once she’s with Jess, she feels like she has to make things right with Dean. On top of that, Rory was always being told by the town and her mother about how Dean was the perfect boyfriend and, oh, she was so lucky to have him as her first boyfriend! Regardless of how false that whole narrative rings to me as a viewer, this puts Rory in a position where she is always comparing Jess to Dean; by Rory’s own admission in 3x09 she says she feels like the town is watching them and she’s right, they are watching! There is this pressure put on her to have her life perfectly together, which is an impossible and even damaging standard to be placing onto any teenager. At this point, Lorelai is still heavily involved in Rory’s romantic life but because Lorelai plays friend more often than mother, she has always made her stance on Jess very clear and consequently, Rory doesn’t feel she can talk openly to her mother when she has issues with Jess and this is unfamiliar territory for Rory. In the first episode with Rory and Jess together, Lorelai is already saying things like, “But I never expected you to be with Dean forever, just like I don’t expect you to be with Jess forever.” As much as she says she’s supportive, Rory never actually feels her support. For these reasons, we don’t get to see much of Rory addressing or confronting her relationship with Jess throughout season 4 – we see her play it cool or “stoic” with Lorelai and the townies but we see it’s an act to some extent when talking with Lane in 4x22 or with Jess – “I have actually thought about this moment. A lot.” that whole speech she gives feels like it’s been something she’s been holding onto for a while and never been able to vocalise. Back to season 3: Rory feels she has to hide things from Jess like she did with Dean because she was always trying to avoid a fight with him (which is.....☹️), failing to realise that Jess is not Dean, and thus begins the miscommunication problems throughout their relationship. All of this to say... Rory has no other point of reference for relationships, so I understand where she is coming from during season 3!
Now for Jess we go back to the 3x07 for a moment: obviously this is all open to interpretation but he looks very surprised and also somewhat guilty during the very public Dean and Rory breakup, which I take to mean... he never wanted it to happen, nor expected it to happen, like this. Jess is very aware of how the town and everyone in it views him in comparison to Dean; there’s an insecurity there for Jess “She picked you.” / “God knows why.” because she never actually did choose him and he doesn’t particularly like himself very much at this point. Which brings me to the point that Jess was simply not in a place to be in a relationship – his communication issues were there before he ever got into a relationship with Rory because it’s easier to not deal with things and allow people to have a low opinion of you so that you don’t disappoint them. He really thought the dinner with Emily would be a one and done thing, which highlights both his inexperience with relationships but also his misconception that this relationship could be just him and Rory, see also: “I don't wanna talk to anybody else. I don't like anybody else.” As much as he may love Rory and Luke, they can’t be Jess’ sole support system and he has a lot of personal growing to do. If we are to assume Jimmy was always going to show up in late season 3, I think that’s something that Jess was always going to want to see through. He definitely makes efforts to do better, particularly after 3x15 (there is no way he or Luke didn’t hear that voicemail...) is when we actually see them at their most chill as they’re having movie nights, they’re talking about Rory’s future at Yale, Lane is supportive, Jess is ready to go to prom without complaints, etc. He went after Rory once she leaves the bedroom in 3x19 but the moment he sees Dean, he gives up and we’re back to the looming shadow that is Dean. Without that shadow, I think they could have at least ended things on better terms.
Rory saying, “I don’t want to deal with this.” after seeing Jess in his car in 4x12 really is a good summation of their romantic relationship lmao 🙃
That proposal really was so.........yikes!!
Yeah, I have never gotten the impression that Jess has been pining after Rory all these years. I remember coming onto the internet after watching AYITL and being so confused by how heated people were with regard to that parting look in Fall. From everything we saw – which was very little, admittedly – Jess seems very content with his life and in a place of stability, continuing to mature and better himself since the last time we saw him. For what it’s worth, my interpretation of The Window Look(tm) is that Jess meant it when he told Luke that he was over Rory, and it’s not something he had been consciously thinking about until he went to the window and was like, “Hm..........” and the fact that they hadn’t seen each other in so many years before Summer is actually kind of... reassuring to me? I guess in my mind, once they become consistent figures in each other’s lives then it becomes more difficult to understand why they aren’t together because it would progress into more. “What’s it been, four years?” / “Maybe more?” does not have to set their futures in stone, leaving no room for development.
I’ve probably said it before but the whole story of first, it was Rory offering Jess support when he was sorting himself out and lacking the stability for a relationship; then it’s Jess offering Rory support when she is sorting out her life and lacking stability is just a very compelling story for me! The parallels! The star-crossed aspect of it all! I would like to see it dot gif
Warning: Mentions of Gun, [18+ Fem!Reader, mentions of oral sex], No Minors.
Fandom: My Hero Academia
Pairing: Toshinori Yagi (All Might) x Reader
[You’re a secretary at All Might’s Office, though you had seen the hero himself plenty of times. You never thought twice about the possibility of him having a true form and one night at the office, you find out just how much he’s been hiding from you.]
Tumblr media
“You’re a secretary at All Might’s office?” “You’re so lucky!” “Yeah, I bet you get all the eye candy you want.”
You could see how people would be jealous that you worked closely with All Might, but you weren’t a Sir Nighteye. You just answered his calls and organized his files, that was it. But All Might despite his tough exterior was actually a very sweet man and maybe you had gotten lucky when you landed the job to work as his secretary. You especially felt that when he thanked you for all your hard work at the end of the day and on occasion he’d take you out to dinner, merely as another form of thanks.
“Y/n?” you blinked and looked up from your plate, seeing All Might looking at you with a concerned expression. He had asked you to join him for dinner and though he had picked a casual restaurant, you still got eyes staring at you and sometimes it was annoying. But you only agreed to please All Might, after all, you enjoyed seeing others happy. “You seem awfully quiet today, is something wrong?” he questioned, his voice as deep as ever and that signature smile on his face.
You’d never admit how much you loved that smile of his. “Do you not like your food? Please allow me to order you something else if you-” you stopped him and held your hands up. “Oh no! Sorry, it’s delicious. I just had a few things on my mind that’s all …” you heard All Might lean back in his chair and he looked uncertain as he covered his mouth with his hand. You felt a little guilty, did you offend him somehow? You glanced down at your plate before dropping your fork and speaking up.
“All Might um,” you paused, nervously biting your lip before you continued, “I just wanted to say thank you, I’ve really been in your care.” he leaned forward, “Oh no! The pleasure is all mine y/n but well …” he looked to the side, his fingers drumming the table though you were a little nervous he’d break it. Despite having a good handle on his quirk, he could easily break anything in half if he truly wanted to. “Forgive me, this might seem like a strange question y/n but are you truly all right with me taking up so much of your time?” you jumped, feeling your stomach twist with butterflies.
“U-Uh what do you ...mean?” you asked, letting your hands fall to your lap to hide the fact that you were playing with your fingers. “Well, perhaps if you wanted to spend time with someone else. Friends maybe or perhaps go out on a date ...” you looked at him surprised before waving him off. “My friends are a little annoying and I don’t really have anyone I’m looking to date, you don’t have to worry All Might. I ...enjoy spending my time with you.” which was the truth, you expected most heroes to be stuck up, maybe too full on themselves because of fame. But All Might wasn’t like that at all.
You watched All Might’s face relax and he reached over the table, taking your hand. Your heart accelerated at the action and his hands were so much bigger than yours yet so gentle.  “Y/n, I really do appreciate everything you do. Your work is quite acceptable and I want you to know that I am grateful to have you around.” you smiled and once more found yourself thinking about how sweet All Might was. “Thank you, All Might. That means a lot,” you replied though All Might still held your hand for a few moments before letting go.
You shared some conversations before All Might insisted on leaving, it was getting late and you did have work in the morning. So you two left the restaurant and much like a gentleman, he walked you home and wished you a goodnight. You felt a little giddy as you entered your apartment, looking over to your living room where your laptop sat. Most of the time you enjoyed bringing your work home and usually, that involved bringing a stack of files with you which …”Oh God!” you shouted as you suddenly remembered, “I left the recent file on my desk ...damn it.” you looked out the window, it was pitch black outside.
You latched onto your lip, well ...it wasn’t that long of a walk to All Might’s office. Maybe if you hurried you would grab the file, do it in the office and hurry back home. You know it might be foolish, but you enjoyed being on top of your work. But All Might had distracted you with his offer of dinner so you never got to complete your work. “Well …” you groaned as you debated with yourself for a moment before sighing and leaving your apartment. Your feet moved quickly, running down the sidewalk and you were thankful the streetlights illuminated your way but that didn’t stop the fact that your heart was beating out of your chest the time you made it to All Might’s office.
The keys trembled in your hands as you tried to unlock the door and once inside, you leaned against it. Your hands to your chest as you took a deep breath, trying to calm yourself. “Okay, just get the file and get to work.” you took another breath and walked over to your desk, taking your seat. Your file was still open where you had left off and you waited for your computer to boot up before your fingers got to work, flying across your keyboard. As usual, the time seemed to tick away as you sat there, too focused on your computer to notice anything else.
That is until a squeak sounded which made you pause, you blinked and slowly turned your head. Just waiting to see if another noise came and sure enough, another squeak sounded and you jumped up from your chair. Your heart was racing and you quickly reached into your drawer, though it was controversial you kept a gun in your drawer just in case. You were grateful for that now as you confirmed that the noises were definitely someone’s footsteps and you tightened your grip on the gun. Finger over the trigger, ready to shoot at the intruder. It was highly unlikely anyone else but you would be in the office this late.
You took a deep breath, carefully stepping around your desk and towards the hallway that led to All Might’s office. Those steps continued and you hear someone shuffling something around. Your heart was pounding fiercely at this point and your body trembled, you were afraid but you wouldn’t let anyone cause harm to this office. With that in mind, you hesitantly reached for the handle and opened the door. The room itself was dark, but you could clearly make out the image of someone and they seemed to have been caught off guard by your entrance.
Dropping the item they were holding before their hands shot up in the air. “Hold it right ...t-there!” you hissed as you pointed the gun towards them, they looked skinny and their clothes hung off their body. Their hair was messy and stuck out in two long points that draped over their face. You pressed your lips together and stepped further into the room, the gun trembling in your hands. You took a deep breath, reaching one arm out. Your eyes fixated on the figure as you searched the light switch.
Flicking it on, you were caught off guard when you finally saw their appearance. They looked like a skeleton and their messy hair was blond. They were wearing a baggy white shirt and loose-fitting jeans. Was this guy for real? Well, it didn’t matter, “Who are you!?” you demanded, both hands now back on the gun. They kept quiet and lowered their hands, “Y/n.” you gasped and readjusted your grip on the gun, your finger ready to pull the trigger. “How ….h-how do you know my name!?” you demanded before taking a step forward.
“Answer me!” you shouted and dared to take another step, however, they didn’t seem phased and remained still. You heard them sigh before speaking, “It’s me, All Might.” he said and you almost dropped the gun, your heart sinking in your chest. “W-What?” you replied, feeling as though this had to be some cruel joke. “N-No you’re lying! All Might doesn’t look like-” you watched him roll his eyes before interrupting you. “I was hoping you wouldn’t have to see me like this, y/n. My true form,” he said as he grabbed the front of his baggy shirt.
You lowered the gun, true form? No, it was a trick! “Prove it!” you once more demanded as the gun pointed at the stranger who sighed once more before clenching his fists and smoke started to swirl around him. You gasped and took a step back, was this another trick!? His quirk!? Your finger pressed against the trigger just before they transformed and your jaw dropped. Before you stood a smoking All Might, his muscles flexed and that smile on his face as always. You stepped back, dropping the gun by mistake.
A loud bang sounded and you cried as All Might leaped into action, the bullet embedded itself into the nearby wall. You had clasped your hands over your ears, your eyes squeezed shut as if to protect yourself from the bullet. But when the soft ringing stopped echoing in your ears, you dropped your hands and opened your eyes to find that All Might had you in his arms. You squeaked out and flushed, “Uh …” you swallowed, feeling rather foolish for your own actions. How could you not recognize All Might? True he was in his normal form but still, why couldn’t you tell? Some secretary you were.
You slowly turned your head to look at him, placing your hand on his chest. “Uh A-All Might?” you questioned and jumped when he turned to look at you. “Yes, y/n?” he replied and you glanced down before shyly asking, “C-Can you put me down?” he chuckled but did as you requested. Once on your feet, your glance was to the floor and you mindlessly played with your fingers. “Uh ...All Might ...I um ...I-I’m sorry …” you said as smoke surrounded the Hero once more and he reverted back to his true form.
“Yeah well ...I didn’t exactly want anyone to know …” he said as he reached up to scratch the back of his head and despite feeling nervous, you looked up at him. Now that you got a good look at him, he was kind of cute. Sure he was skinny, but there was still something attractive about him. “Heh,” you chuckled nervously before taking a step towards him. “W-Why didn’t you want anyone to know? I mean ...I get it might be better to hide your identity but people are going to love you no matter what form you take All Might.” at least that’s what you believed, a hero was a hero regardless.
However, All Might didn’t seem too thrilled with the idea and simply shrugged. “Listen y/n,” he began and reached out to grab your hands, just like before his hands while larger than yours were so gentle. Cradling yours like they were made out of glass. “I am sorry you had to find out this way, but what are you doing here? I walked you home hours ago.” you jumped and looked to the side. “Well, I uh ...I wanted to do some work at home but then I realized I ...didn’t have the file I was working on and I came back ...deciding to you know, do it here,” you explained, hoping your explanation would satisfy the hero.
“Hm ...I see,” he replied as he dropped your hands and tapped his chin. “Uh ...a-are you mad?” you asked, “I mean ...I usually bring work home and after such a lovely dinner I …” you trailed off and once more heard him sigh before he looked at you. “You bring work home too, y/n? ...I’ll have to find a way to repay you for your dedication to my office.” you blinked and took a step back, holding your hands up. “Oh no, no, no! That’s not necessary All Might! I’m happy to uh …” you stopped when he grabbed your hand and led you back down the hallway to your desk.
“Uh …” you looked at your desk and then back to All Might who reached over to take your hands once more. “Y/n, forgive me. This may not be the right time to say it, but I …” he paused and took a breath as if summoning some type of courage. “I really like you and I know it may seem as though I am saying this out of nowhere and as a hero I thought it best to keep my feelings to myself. But, I am just so happy to be with you, to be around you.” your eyes widened, All Might ...liked you!?
You could hardly believe it, your jaw dropped. “Uh ...you ...like me?” you repeated and All Might nodded. “I do, y/n and with your permission, I’d like to show you how much I appreciate you.” you felt your legs grow weak, “H-How do you want to show me …” you inquired and watched him smile as he stepped forward, his arms wrapping around your figure. “May I kiss you?” your breath hitched, was this a dream? You pressed your hands against his chest, despite being so skinny just like his hero form you felt safe in his arms.
You looked up, nodding. “Thank you, y/n,” he said before he leaned in and exchanged the lightest touch of your lips. You tasted a faintness of beer, did All Might drink? Well regardless, the kiss while soft and hesitant made you dizzy. He pulled away with a smile and cupped your cheek, “Heh ...wow.” you said before a giggle escaped you. “Come here.” All Might insisted as he walked you over to your chair. He pushed it aside before clearing your desk. Papers pushed aside along with your computer. You looked confused for a moment before allowing All Might to guide you into sitting on top of the desk.
He settled himself between your legs and reached over to cup your cheek once more, “Do you trust me, y/n?” You looked at him dazed, though you were nervous as to what he had planned you nodded. “Good,” he said before leaning forward, exchanging another butterfly kiss before his hands roamed up your thighs. You shivered the sensation and when he grabbed onto your waistband, your breath hitched. “Ah …” you squeaked out as you leaned back, allowing All Might to pull your pants down.
You shivered as the cold air hit your exposed legs, causing goosebumps which All Might soothed over with his hands. “Are you cold, y/n?” you nodded and he chuckled. “No need to worry, I will fix that.” you shivered at his words and covered your mouth when he pulled you forward and spread your legs. You could feel your clit lightly throb as he reached down and ran two fingers along your slit. The fabric of your underwear dipping into your moist folds and you gasped as his thumb circled your clit causing you to squirm.
“Yes, I’ll show you how much I appreciate you y/n. My perfect secretary, I know the work I give you is not easy. However, I hope this will show you just how much you mean to me.” with that, he pulled your underwear to the side. “You’re already wet?” he questioned as his fingers ran along your slit, collecting all your juice. “Uh I …” you weren’t sure what to say, All Might did stir some mature feelings inside you. Did you secretly lust for the hero? Probably. “Too shy to talk, that’s okay. Just relax, I’ll take care of you,” he promised before he leaned close and clasped his lips around your clit.
You cried out as his tongue probed the sensitive nub and he softly sucked on it, “All Might …” you weakly whined before he pulled away, his tongue now working up and down your slit. He brought his fingers up, parting your folds further so he could dip his tongue inside which made you cry out once more. “Jesus …” you panted, trembling on top of your desk. Was this really happening? You were in your office, on your desk with All Might between your legs. He wiggled his tongue inside, pushing it as far as it could go before pulling back.
You could feel his saliva dribble down your pussy but he kept at it, lapping like a hungry animal. “Mm.” he groaned and leaned away, bringing his fingers to his lips where he sucked on them a moment. “You taste good y/n, are you enjoying yourself?” he questioned and you nodded, despite your flushed face and your dazed eyes. “Ah!” you cried out when you felt him push those fingers inside, two digits wiggled inside your tight walls and you whimpered. Your hips rocking against those fingers and All Might chuckled before getting back to work.
He circled his tongue around your clit, his fingers thrusting inside you. Coated in your juice that continued to dribble down your pussy lips. “All Might! It feels so good!” you whimpered and he continued, his mouth working violently around your clit. Sucking, biting and lapping at it. “Mm!” you hissed, latching onto your bottom lip as your stomach tightened. Your hips were thrusting like mad, but All Might kept up with your motions. He kissed your clit teasingly before squeezing a third finger inside your tight hole.
You whimpered at the sensation of feeling so full and he wiggled those digits inside you. “Shit …” you moaned, “Feels good huh?” All Might replied as his mouth went back to work, your cries continuing as you squirmed on top of your desk. “All Might ...I ...I think I’m going to …” he chuckled, “Go ahead, come for me.” he insisted as he worked his fingers faster, his hand now dripped with your juices as he pushed his fingers as deep as they could go. “Fuck! All Might, yes, yes! Wreck my pussy …” you begged, feeling so close.
He accommodated your wishes and continued, your cries echoed through the empty office and you leaned up. Your hands fisted through his hair as you neared the edge, releasing without warning. “Ah …” you panted, feeling sweaty but utterly relaxed before you laid back on the desk. A satisfied smile on your face. “T-That ...was great,” you whispered as you released his hair and All Might leaned back up, his mouth was wet with your release and his shirt was soaked. You looked up, blinking. “Oh a-ah ...sorry,” you said, feeling a tad guilty for having gotten too carried away.
He chuckled and wiped his mouth off. “You don’t have to be sorry, I’m happy you feel so relaxed.” he smiled as he leaned over you, gently stroking your hair. “I’m very happy I chose you to be the secretary to my office.” you smiled and leaned up to wrap your arms around him. “I promise I’ll keep your secret safe.” you’d do anything to protect All Might, not that he needed much protection, to begin with. But he seemed sensitive about his true form and you wouldn’t betray him. He smiled and returned your hug. “Thank you, y/n,” he said, knowing that he’d never let you go.
what's the five hours long speech about why you hate rwby king
Tumblr media
ok so I guess I should tackle these. before reading know that there’s going to be spoilers up until forum 4 to 5 I guess? don’t remember where I got while watching the show.
while I think that hbomberguy’s video covers a really great chunk of the issues I have with RWBY, he specifically states he made all his analysis about volumes 1-3, and I’ve had the misfortune to watch a bit more after that (I think about until half volume 5? legit don’t remember)
the parts I don’t see the need to focus on, because hbomberguy already mentioned them in his incredibly detailed video, that truly make me despise RWBY, are the following:
1. the whole taking a story about four female characters and making it all about the male sidekicks, often the author’s self inserts;
2. the fact that the writers of RWBY really want to drive home the fact that they’re attracted to their SEVENTEEN TO FIFTEEN years old characters, while being grown men, describing them as their ideal women, and calling them pretty, hot and attractive literally all the fucking time;
3. making their main antagonists an oppressed race that’s oppressed because they’re half-animals (because you know. minorities are animals. that’s always a good metaphor /s) so they can say it’s a commetary about race until it isn’t;
4. the show being generally bad about timing, exposition, animation, dubbing, character establishing and development, worldbuilding, and all the problems deriving from what should be the BASE of showrunning.
so let’s pretend I’ve copied word for word everything hbomberguy already said about this all and let’s jump to what i personally ALSO despise about RWBY!
5. disrespect for abuse victims: as cited in the video as well, at some point you find out Weiss has lived all her life with an abusive father. Yang Xiao Long loses her arm while figthing against Adam, leader of the White Fang. Both Yang and Ruby have lost their mother - Yang was abandoned by her biological mother, then adopter by Ruby’s mom, who died in combat I think? Jaune, bad characterization aside, is implied to have PTSD after Phyrra’s death because he feels guilty about it or something. Canonically, Yang has PTSD as well. RWBY is not afraid to touch on heavy subjects, so:
How does the show deal with that?
Every time Weiss has a conflict, a man tells her to fuck off (a teacher, her brother, her own dad, Ruby’s uncle, Ozpin, I can go on!) just because “she’s the annoying one” and we should take that as a joke. I can sorta get it, even if I don’t like it. But there’s also a time where she gets slapped in her face by her own sister for no real reason just because she disagrees with her, and three seconds later they hug it out like it’s nothing. It’s framed as if Weiss should be grateful to most of these people (everyone but her brother and dad, really, because they were depicted as villains) for belittling and even hitting her, because they’re doing her a favor. Aren’t you glad your sister slapped some sense into you? Now you can use your powers better!
When Yang is depressed because she has become an amputee and needs to recover from losing an arm, her dad tells her, and I’m not joking, something along the lines of her deserving to lose an arm because she can’t get over it. And Yang somehow laughs at this “supposed joke” and suddenly she doesn’t have PTSD anymore? ok???
Jaune gets some armor frym Phyrra (how? she vanished in thin air. armor and all) and fuses it into his sword. BAM now he’s not as depressed?
6. how much trauma is too much trauma?
this is probably subjective, and it ties heavily with the point above, but I just want to point out a few details.
Yang and Ruby both lost their mother(s). Phyrra was chosen to sacrifice herself to save the world, and then died anyway a tragic death for no reason by getting shot in the heart. Penny was cut to pieces in front of a worldwide audience. Yang also got her arm cut. Blake, victim of an abusive relationship in the past, gets stabbed and beheaded (it’s almost immediately revealed it’s a clone of hers, but you still see her head get cut off) by her ex boyfriend. Weiss is slapped at least twice onscreen, it’s mentioned how she’s been abused her entire life. VELVET IS VICTIM OF THE RWBY EQUIVALENT OF A HATE CRIME AND IT’S PLAYED OFF FOR LAFFS??
And then.........one guy gets shot in the leg once, but not really shot because his legs are prosthetics so he’s just pretending to be hurt? and that’s the worse you’ll see happen to a guy onscreen while 17 years old girls keep getting THAT treatment? Not really into that.
7. is it still queerbaiting if it’s 2020?
Maybe this point is outdated, but let me take this out. Let me free myself from this burden. RT has milked the shit out of Bumblebee as a ship as long as they could (and maybe they’re still doing it! I have no clue if they’re canon or not and I really don’t care! Don’t tell me if they are! I don’t want to find out! I’d rather die than know!) to keep the attentions of lgbt fans because let’s be real, nothing else in the show is good enough. When Bumblebee came out as a soundtrack, I listened to it for days. I think it’s the height of their queerbaiting strategies for the time. Truly a masterpiece.
8. Vic Mignogna
Because of course I’m going there!
Vic Mignogna has been accused for about a decade now of sexual assault, harassment, and even pedophilia. Oldest charges go back to 2008, and are not exactly hard to find. RT has since cut contacts with him, but had him for over two seasons and only kicked him out when shit really started to hit the fan and tweets became viral about him (1, 2, 3). Glad that they kicked him out, don’t get me wrong, but he shoulnd’t have been there in the first place.
epilogue:
I’m sure I could talk about more stuff, like the fact that the minorities in the show are mostly white and treated like villains, and it’s okay to kill them because “they’re rude about being oppressed” or whatever, or how there was a picture circulating a few years ago of one of the guys from RT having a fucking magnet on his fridge with the t slur on it (don’t have receipts for it, and I wouldn’t even know how to search, so it’s not included in the list above), or how I got queerbaited for two years from RWBY and that’s why I’m so pissed at it, but really just. Watch hbombersguy’s video about it. He tackles most of the issues and, just like me, didn’t bother checking out this flaming pile of garbage more than I already did.
but the songs are still bangers
Especially becuase I normally don't talk much about my enemies to lovers thing with Remus so it was kinda nice to almost project it onto here!!!🥰🥰🥰 Also sorry I got a little carried away while writing and it got a little off-topic from the prompt-
Prompt: A moves into a new apartment and wants to check out the closest dog park. Their dog loves it there, especially that one dog that seems to be there almost every time they go. With their dogs being madly in love with each other, A and the other owner, B, are forced to spend more time together as well
Warnings: strong curse words used a minor amount. Very small angst.
----------------------------
Matt had moved into an apartment, hoping to build up some money for a home. He was living the life though, being able to do things when he wanted, without people complaining at him. However, Matt had gotten a little lonely so he did the best solution! He got a pet. Now, Matt normally wasn't a fan of dogs, mainly ones that barked a lot, but when he had been searching through the animal shelter and found a very peaceful dog. It was maybe around 1 year old and it was a small poneramium. Normally small dogs barked a lot but this one was fairly quiet and Matt liked it for that. He named his dog Siskel. Since an apparment was a small place Matt had searched up local dog parks he could take his dog to and let it play for a bit and get some exercise. Matt was unbelievably happy when his dog had found another dog friend! He thought they were adorable together and seemed to get along so well too! What he hated was the rat-bastard that owned the dog. You know how theres the couple in movies that want be together but the parents hate eachother? It was essentially that for Matt, but it was one-sided. The other person seemed to find Matt amusing, even though Matt had often showed that he didn't care much for him. Sometimes Matt would feel bad for the way he treated the person, he never gave him a true chance. But then the person would say something that made Matt stop feeling as guilty. The downfall for Matt was that he had scheduled days that he could go to the park where he had free time so it's not like he could ignore the other guy either. Plus, he would feel bad for depriving his puppy of it's friend just because Matt had been salty.
Matt had currently been sitting on a bench at the dog park and was keeping a close eye on Siskel. He made sure to keep his dog on a leash incase it did go to do soemthing bad, he could pull it back, plus, he didn't have to worry about Siskel running off either. Matt could tell just by the way his dog acted, that it was impatiently waiting for it's friend to arrive. Matt was trying to take it's mind off of waiting for it's friend and was throwing a pinecone for his dog. He would use a toy but if another dog came up who knew wheres its mouth had been? Siskel knew not to fully bite on the pinecone, but it would still bark at it and pretend to play with it. Matt couldn't help but smile as he watched. Though, poor Matthew's smile didn't last for long as he felt the same ol' guy sit next to him. Matt knew a little information about him, like his name and such, but only because he had told him like Matt had asked.
"Hey, Maaattttt!!" He chimed.
"Hi, Remus" Matt huffed.
Matt watched as the dogs quickly ran up to eachother and played with a pinecone together. It was very wholesome. However Matt casted a confused glance towards Remus, not understanding why he was so silent.
"You're quiet." Matt commented, while raising an eyebrow.
"I am?" Remus asked, as if he wasn't aware of what Matt was talking about.
"Yeah, normally you're rambling on about something that happened to you, or about how you poisoned your enemies cake or soemthing." Matt soon regretted speaking up, as he watched a very amused smile grow across Remus's face.
Remus gave Matt a very tight hug, causing Matt to squeak from alarm. Matt couldn't help but notice now warm Remus had felt and he could feel the rise and fall of his chest as he breathed.
"Wh-.. what?" Matt questioned.
"You do listen!!! I was always afraid you never listened to my stories!" Remus seemed to be bursting with excitement.
"Well, I mean I kinda have too, you tail me around against my will." Matt flatly pointed out.
"Pssshh, yeah cuase you don't like me. Totally"
"I hate you. And why are you still hugging me??"
Remus withdrew and let go of the hug. Matt could've sworn he thought Remus looked a little upset for a moment, but if he did it was quickly replaced by happiness.
"You knowwww... it took you a little while for you to tell me to stop hugging youuu" Remus teased.
"You're honestly the biggest idiot I know and it hurts to be around you."
"You can insult me all you want but it's not going to change the fact that you like my hugs!"
"You're a lunatic and burn down places. The last thing I want is your hugs."
"Is that why you let me hug you?"
"I didn't let you hug me! If I did I would've hugged back. But I didn't."
"You let me hug you and you listen to what I say? Mmmmm... I'm pretty sure you like me."
"I don't like you, I'm just that lonely."
"Most people that don't like me get a restraining order, so you must like me to some extent, right?" Remus gave Matt a puppy-eyed look.
Matt groaned in annoyance. "I just might if I have to sit here any longer."
"That's not a no~"
"And it's definitely not a yes."
"Well, it's not a no, so I'll take what I can get."
"You're a dunce."
"I still don't see why you hang out with me so much then."
"Hang?? Out?? I-? Me??- with yOu??-" Matt stumbled over his words in aghast. "Okay, I certainly don't, and would never, hang out with you, Remus. You come up to me. I deal with it because for some stupid reason my dog likes your dog, and I do what's good for my dog because I have a little bit of common sense."
Remus pouted at Matt's little tangent and crossed his arms. "Fine. I won't talk with you then. Maybe then you'll like me more."
Matt shook his head, "Why do you care so much for whether I like you or not?"
Remus only glared at him and didn't respond. Matt decided to take the opportunity of peace and quiet, however, as time started to pass, he felt like something was bugging him. Like he was itching to do soemthing and he didn't know what. Like something was...off. He gave Remus a curious glance, wondering if he had done something, but by the looks of it he was behaving like a decent human being. If that was the case, then what was bugging Matt?? He had gotten what he wished for, had he not? He subconsciously gave Remus an almost longing kind of look, and Remus met his gaze for a split second, only to look away. Matt couldn't help but fear a pang of hurt in his heart, only to be quickly filled with frustration at himself. Remus complete was the opposite of a normal, decent, and civilized person. All he did was annoy Matt, so why did Matt feel bad? He quickly answered his own question. Remus hadn't done anything bad directly towards Matt, and Matt had acted like a huge douche towards him for no reason. Matt felt his eyes water up a bit at the realization and quickly blinked it away. He felt terrible for the way he had acted.
"I'm sorry." Matt spoke, his voice cracking a little bit causing him to inwardly cringe.
Remus looked at him, but gave him a questioning look as if asking him to go on.
"I'm sorry for being a massive and terrible douche towards you. You hadn't done anything wrong, if anything, out of all the things you've told me about I should be lucky that you didn't do anything to me and I'm really, really, sorry and I know that doesn't really change anything but I completely understand if you don't forgive me, and honestly with the way I've treated you I probably don't deserve your forgiveness." Matt had gotten repeatedly choked up as he spoke and had to keep clearing his throat or blinking away the water in his eyes in a sad attempt to hide what he was feeling.
Remus eyes had widened in surprise. That was by far not what he had expected at all. He didn't expect too much of an appology especially from Matt, so the heart felt appology took him a few seconds to process.
"..Matt?" Remus spoke.
"Yea?"
"Can I hug you?"
Matt quickly nodded his head and felt his face twist as he felt a few tears go down his face agaisnt his will. He didn't realize all the weird feelings he had subconsciously bottled up, but as Remus tackled him into a hug, almost knocking him off the bench they had been sitting on, Matt couldn't help but sniffle a little bit. He felt the warmth from Remus engulf him again, and his mind drifted to how nice Remus's arms and hands had felt to be wrapped around him. Matt tried to calm down his sudden emotions and breathed a little more slowly, and slowly slithered his arms up and around Remus's back and rested his head on his shoulder.
"We never speak of this to anyone." Matt mumbled.
Remus giggled and nodded his head in agreement, causing Matt to laugh a little bit himself.
"I knew you always liked me a little bit." Remus teased.
