BATFAM PROMPT:
Feral Talon Dad Bruce Wayne AU
The bat kids are raised by a Cryptid zombie horror murder man who loves them very very much❤️
Bruce is sent to kill the Graysons by the court of Owls and kidnap their child to make him a Talon.
Dick witnesses the whole thing but because he’s so young in this AU like basically a toddler he’s terrified and when Bruce picks him up to take him back to the Owls Dick snuggles into him and sobs and screeches and he’s angry and confused and scared and tiny but This massive murder monster who killed his parents is the only comfort he has.
Dick is alone and he has no one. No one is coming to save him, no one is coming for him , his mama and daddy are gone and the only thing left is …. Whatever the hell this cryptid horror zombie is.
So Dick, takes his comfort where he can, which today comes in form of zombi does Bruce Wayne and that’s what it takes i guess.
Bruce breaks out of conditioning and vanishes into thin air with the kid. Only he doesn’t go back to the court.
Maybe this Bruce takes baby Grayson away and raises him as a feral murder baby.
They live secluded and away from anyone and anything. Maybe the mountains in Nanda parbat. They’re so discreet and good the league of assassins doesn’t even know their mountains are technically compromised.
Bruce raises Dick in complete secrecy. Literally like a wild child, Bruce occasionally travels to the town over to bring back toys and books and whatever he finds that he thinks would make Dick happy.
Dick sees and longs for peoples and connections and more. He loves Bruce but Bruce is basically like Ariel’s dad WORSE he’s basically mother gothel, he’s seen so many horrors and he’s so paranoid. He just wants his son to stay alive and away from any harm.
keeping Dixk locked away and safe from the Owls that mean him horrific torture and agony. Safe from the world, Safe with Daddy😭❤️.
SIGN LANGUAGE ENTHUSIAST BATFAM HEADCANON.
Bruce’s voice is … zombified and uncomfortable to use, so he teaches himself sign language and then teaches Dick. They invent their own dialect. Just for them😭
Dick gets big enough to want to see the world, to understand what happened, to find himself outside of his adopted eldritch Dad, and MAYBE! Make a damn friend like he’s been seeing in those picture books Bruce brings for him every week.
He “runs away” in a fit of teenage rebellion or whatever you wanna call it, after Dick gets caught sneaking into a village a couple kilometres from their Cosy little cave they like to call home.
Bruce is furious and terrified and he’s everything a scared father is after finding your kid missing from their room when they were supposed to be home hours ago.
Dick explodes in frustration and tears and off he goes.
He goes back to the beginning. To Gotham.
A half deadly Half sunshine all Feral Dick Grayson is roaming the world all alone when he stumbles across a considerably less feral
Less deadly Jason Todd.
Jay is an orphan and this weirdly affectionate clueless terror of a guy just imprinted on him
and won’t leave him alone.
I mean Scary bird boy is a stage 5 dumbass, zero bark, Zero bite 100% cuddles kinda guy.
(Seriously this dude has no concept of personal space and it’s bordering on infuriating) but Jason is like 99.9% sure he just saw him down crime alley snapping the resident rapists necks.
The men that call girls avoided and the police did isn’t care to arrest, so clearly bird boy is not a bad guy but he’s definitely not Harmless either.
Jason likes his style though.
Maybe the court of owls tries going after Jason or tries to kidnap Dick again.
Bruce finds them in the nick of time and slaughters every single one of the Owls once and for all.
Shenanigans ensue and they all bond.
Love love love. Bruce literally adopts him the minute he sees him.
Bruce and Dick teach Jay sign language.
Jason teaches Bruce and Dick how to read.
Jason loves his feral dad and brother.
MAYBE! Tim parents were Owls.
The rich wealthy elites of Gotham succumb to their nefarious ways in an ironic and cathartic end, survived by their heir Timothy Jackson Drake. Who up until now they had been grooming into becoming the next Owl man, he’s been trained to kill and torture and every other bad guy skills he needs to be their evil little successor.🫡
Bruce gets rid of them though.
WOMP WOMP.
Maybe after killing Timmy’s parents Bruce is just like…
Bruce: awwwwww this reminds me of how Dick’s surprise adoption went!
Tim:…. Bro you can’t just murder my parents and call this a surprise adoption.
Bruce: we can call this a kidnapping if you wanna keep it 💯 but either way you’re coming home with me
Tim: …. I ain’t even like em like that fr. Let me just pack a bag real quick.
The Drakes parenting was abhorrent so after Bruce kidnaps him ,Tim is viciously violent at first but after Bruce shows Tim patience and kindness.
Tim develops Stockholm syndrome like instantly and just latches onto Bruce like it’s the first instance of true love and care he’s ever felt.
Jason is actually the most normal and well
adjusted out of his Psychotic family. Ironically he’s the only one out of all of them that hasn’t killed someone lol.
Tim latches on violently to Dick & Jason, it’s adorable and scary and very creepy in a wholesome way. Tim absorbs any kind of attention like a sponge and has separation anxiety. He likes to watch them sleep and follow them every where they go like a puppy, only he does it in the shadows and takes candid pictures of them he collects religiously.
He’s a complete weirdo.
Dick finds him Absolutely delightful, he wants to gobble him all up and cuddle at every opportunity, he enables all Of his bad habits and Jason does his best to damage control and encourage Tim to dabble in more healthy hobbies and ways of showing affection but ultimately Dick Grayson remains undefeated as a bad influence.
Dick is a good big brother, so obviously he’s gotta participate in his baby brothers love language so Timmy can feel seen and appreciated.
So now Jason has TWO stalkers shadowing him everywhere he goes. 3 when Bruce is feeling sentimental.
Jason tolerates his families psychotic and feral behaviour because he loves them more then life itself and if anyone else said anything like that about them he’d snap their necks.
Jason shows his affection in normal ways like beating up peoples trying to start a fight with his brothers and cooking for them because they can’t cook to save their lives.
Sometimes Jason will wonder on how exactly Dixk survived all those years in that cave with an immortal Bruce who doesn’t need to eat.
(Bruce would catch wild animals and Dixk
Would eat the meat raw, sometimes he’d hold his blood soaked hand full of flesh out wanting to share with dad, but Bruce would just drag Dick closer to him and nudge him to keep eating his dinner)
Jason feels bad and bakes him sugary monstrosities included but not limited too:
Oreo chocolate chip maple soaked marshmallow pancakes.
Sour candy lucky charm jam filled donuts.
Triple Chocolate Nutella and peanut butter Reese cookies.
Jason is appropriately horrified at what he’s created every time.
But Dick tasted sugar for the first time and doesn’t know how to act.
The kids are living their best lives but Bruce Is SPIRALLING.
The more kids Bruce acquires the more stressed he gets.
There’s a really angsty scene where Bruce breaks down holding onto his kids and crying. He’s not a monster, he just wants these kids to be safe. He doesn’t wanna kill anymore, he doesn’t wanna hurt things anymore.
He wants to go home with his babies.
He wants to take all of them back to their busted creepy cave in nanda parbat.
But Dickie Isn’t a baby anymore, he wants his family close but he also wants MORE, he wants to be around people he wants to discover the world. Jason was born and raised in Gotham and Bruce can’t in good conscience rip his life apart like that.
And then there’s Timmy. Honestly the Tim is this AU is an unhinged obsessive gremlin, he just goes wherever his family wants to go, nothing else really matters to him but them.
And so Bruce decides to stay in Gotham and hides them all in an abandoned building. It’s kind of like a nest.
Bruce stashes his babies in a Makeshift safe house until he can figure out a way to make all this work.
Maybe Alfred finds their weird little makeshift Family when he stumbles into their safe house and manages not to get immediately killed.
Alfred is VERY worried about the state in which these kids are living.
He vows to lure them and their Dad to a safer better living arrangement.
Maybe Bruce gets severely hurt and the kids kidnap Alfred to patch Bruce up.
Alfred is appropriately horrified at the undead creature growling and hissing while he treats their mortally terminal wounds, but keeps as much composure as an ex-military general would about it.
Bruce like totally imprints on Alfred And like a cat, he drags each and every one of his kids into Alfred life for him to babysit and look after while Bruce goes out to do whatever zombie dads do.
Alfred has no choice in the matter and has effectively acquired spontaneous grandkids and a son.
Bruce: daddy?
Alfred: …. Boy do I look like-⁉️
They move in with Alfred basically over night.
Damian is either created Through the league of assassins who stole the courts strongest talon’s DNA (Bruce’s DNA) to recreate it. Or any other way I guess I donno? Maybe Talia and Bruce got jiggy with It at one point when they were in those mountains. PFFFF LOL GIVE ME IDEAS.
Gonna run with the first idea ?
Damian is created in a lab, Maybe the Drakes latest project was too recreate their greatest success which had been Talon!Bruce.
Tim revisits his parents lab randomly and discovers this. An abandoned lab and abandoned cryogenic chamber containing a baby.
Tim grabs the kids and runs back home.
Jason is exasperated and Alfred panics a bit cause…. Huh?!?!
Jason: Seriously guys? We can’t afford Another surprise adoption right now.
Alfred: do you mean a “kidnapping”
Jason: don’t be mean! It’s their love language 😡
Alfred: wonderful… is it safe to assume I’ll be raising yet another grandchild?
Jason: that’s the spirit, anyway we gotta find a much bigger apartment than this, it’s getting crowded.
Alfred: Ah, my sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused by my oversight. It seems I should have anticipated my being abducted by a feral street urchin and his entourage of lethal pets. Quite the oversight on my part, I’ll begin apartment hunting right away sir.
Bruce, Dick, Jason, Tim, Damian: *living their best life while Alfred tries to wrangle them out of shenanigans*
Anyways They take Damian in and he’s just as feral and eldritch horror as his daddy. He’s got his big brother’s trademark behaviours too!
Tim’s severely anti social mess , Dick’s creepy uncanny valley nature and Jason’s love for baking!
It’s so sweet how much he takes after his sibling and Bruce couldn’t be more proud of his litter of horror.
Alfred is honestly such a trooper through all this, salute the GOAT.
I wrote this on a whim! If y’all wanna hear more about this AU, if you want it written, let me know!

Here are a couple of super quick rough colored Batman cards that I´ve been doing just for fun and coloring experimentation in my break times ( working on some comic book pages btw ). I might do a couple more and include also JLA heroes.

“Tim sitting back and watching the chaos while Bernard comes up with the wildest conspiracy theories” is a great troupe, but consider;
Bernard’s making up wild theories, 20% because he believes them and 362946% for fun, and Tim listens passively until he just so happens to drop in the most randomly wild pieces of information completely out of left field. Like, Bernard will mention that some people in Metropolis don’t even know about the secret parts of the military, when Tim will just say, “Yeah, I was offered a place in a highly specialised squad once. Nearly died. It was wild.”
And at first, Bernard thinks Tim’s just doing it to poke fun at him, but as time goes on, he starts to realise that it’s not sarcasm, which is even worse, because what the everloving fuck does Tim mean by “Secret Villain Internet that sucks you in and drives you insane”? And why does Tim know about it??
Tim casually hints at the existence of the Court of Owls by telling Bernard to not trust the owls in Gotham and Bernard. Does not sleep.

Hear me out
Wayne Family court of owls
Going FERAL
Can you imagine!? Martha and Thomas Wayne were part of the Court, and obviously Bruce is as well! He’s basically known as the Prince of Gotham anyway. What they don’t know is that he’s always been in line for the position as Voice of the Court.
When the Waynes die, the Talon is sent out to dispose of their killer. Bruce gets closure when the Talon brings him Joe Chill’s head.
Bruce is raised with the near constant protection of the Court (they cannot allow the Wayne name to die out) and when Dick’s parents fall in the circus… Bruce still takes him in. Defying the Court’s excited whispers of the Gray Son joining the ranks as a future talon, letting them know in no uncertain terms that he is now Bruce’s ward and thus untouchable.
Bruce presents Dick with proof of Zuccos… “disappearance” as a welcome home gift and introduces him to the world of the Court. How to manipulate high society and pull string behind the scenes to make the Court stronger, and Gotham a better, safer place.
Bruce never becomes the Batman. But his code name, before and after becoming the Voice of the Court, is still Batman. And Dick’s code name is Robin, now likewise under the Talon’s (Cobb) protection, and a menace to the criminal underworld because he has a penchant for going out into the streets in person instead of acting from the shadows like Bruce. (Poor Talon‘s got his hands full keeping both those idiots alive now).
And then comes Jason, who’s a street kid, and everything the Court would turn their noses up at— but their Voice takes interest in this one, too. And oh do they know by now how this story goes. (Cobb does not despair. He’s TALON. He’s above such silly things as despair. But BOY does he wish he could file for a vacation right now.)
While Dick is the charming circus boy turned court darling turned Robin turned Gray Son of Gotham, Jason is the gutter trash turned son of a billionaire turned youngest acolyte turned Heart of the Court. (Cobb refuses to acknowledge that he might actually like this firecracker of a kid. Wayne can shove his smug little grin where the sun don’t shine-)
I should probably stop now 😭

(MAJOR SPOILERS FOR GOTHAM KNIGHTS GAME, specifically the Labyrinth)
An analysis of the Labyrinth and the BatFam
(In other words this post is really long)
So, I was doing some research on the Labyrinth for my fic (Silent Hearts and Silent Knights) and I found something very interesting regarding each BatFam members experience from Gotham Knights.
I'm using Rubi's video compilation of characters as my reference, I played as Tim in my play through and it's exactly like this video's Tim so I'm going on the assumption that there are no other possible outcomes.
Here's my keynotes for those who don't want to watch the video.
(I would like to say that due to the fact it is a game, some things aren't concrete. Rubi just goes back and forth in certain areas to trigger stuff whereas I just went under things to continue on.)
Things that happen regardless of the character (I call this the Beginning Sequence):
Character wakes up and starts walking, making various little comments. (Anything notable will be put under said character)
Character runs into spikes on wall, dies and wakes up (If you duck under the spikes the character will not experience this)
(Female voice) “Inside of Gotham’s walls…”
(Male voice) ”Rule you one and all…”
Character enters the "Flame Room", a small puzzle requiring you find the right path out.
(Voice of the Court) “Give up, it would be.. So much easier”
Character immediately hits a dead end and turns around only to find a different path then before.
Character enters the "Rotating Spike Room", which is pretty self explanatory: three large spinning columns with an assortment of blades that the Character must find a way around.
Bruce's voice expresses disappointment in the Character. (I can't remember if at this point if it's same thing said for each Character, but the point is the same)
Character stumbles, clutching head as they approach the first room (This is something every character does entering a "Major Room" moving forward)
Now, this is where things get interesting because the order and experience is different.
Somethings I want to quickly point out that are the same for every character in this section, which is certain rooms I like to call predetermined sets (all have two passages, left and right, but from my understanding they lead to the same thing):
Table Room: room is a half circle table with three dead court members wearing suits, candles and scrolls on the table, it's covered with spiderwebs and blood appears to be on the floor, and two statues behind them. A moth is floating around one of the candles. Laughter starts when character enters the room
Phonograph Room: room has two green armchairs with a table in between them and a floor lamp behind the left chair, a red circular rug with the Court logo in gold is under all this. On the small side table is a phonograph that plays old distorted instrumental music. The music echoes and distorts even more as you walk away (I wasn't paying to close attention but I think the song is different for each character, or at least a different part of the same song is played.)
Computer Room: room is bathed in red light. Its a rather large computer/monitor set up, reminiscent to the set up in the Belfry and the tech hums, images of Court members with a red filter. A dead Alfred sits in a chair near the set up. After examining the body it disappears in a puff of smoke and ash.
Here is each character's experience:
Jason:
Jason need’s a moment once he stands up before letting go of the marble slab (they all wake up on), also mentions it smells but never can identify what it is.
After the beginning sequence he enters the Table Room.
After leaving the Table Room he had a weird vision of himself dropping from the void ceiling floating towards himself in the air choking, then floats back and then up into the void ceiling.
Enters the Phonograph Room, after leaving the room Bruce's voice says something rather mean to him (I can't remember anything Bruce said to each of them, but it wasn't nice. Ya know, the whole point of this place)
Enters the Computer Room. After leaving the room he has a vision of himself “teleporting” around, pointing his hand at his head, maybe a gun?  Disappears into smoke and ash when walked through.
Enters a room bathed in green, sees a Lazarus pit, sees himself in normal clothes rise out of it with a crowbar which he raises above his head and starts attacking Batman. Court Members actively encourage him to kill stating they are the same, Real Jason says they're not. Vision characters disappear but the pit stays.
Barbra:
After the beginning sequence enters the Phonograph Room.
After leaving the room sees herself (maybe wearing a court mask) randomly teleporting towards herself, tilting head creepily before disappearing.
Enters Computer Room.
After leaving the room Bruce's voice says mean things.
Next she enters a room where Bruce’s grave is open, bats fly out of it and his voice calls out that he needs Batgirl for help.
After exciting this room she see's Batman's body get dragged around a corner, but we never see who does it.
Bruce's voice says some more mean things.
She stumbles into Gordon’s old office, Gordon complains about Batgirl. There’s a recording of Gordon’s death on the table, Babs feels guilty for not being there.
Dick:
After the beginning sequence he enters the Phonograph Room.
After leaving this room he see’s himself just fall out of the void, like his parents. His vision body is very dead and disappears when walked through/by.
Immediately after there’s the broken Bat signal, GCPD officers crying out that the city is falling and wonder where Batman is.
He then enters the Table Room.
After leaving the room he see’s a vision of himself being creepy/ kinda teleporting around, like Babs.
Stumbles into the next room, see’s his dead parents at the circus. Interestingly when they disappear they leave behind Court masks (maybe this refers to Dick’s own hidden ties to the Court)
Tim:
Tim is the only one straight up fall after waking up and trying to stand up, he is also the only one to explicitly state that is smells like death.
After the beginning sequence he enters the Table Room.
First vision is also of him creepily teleporting around, but unlike Dick and Babs, his version walks past him then dissolves. D and B’s versions forced them to walk through their visions. T's forced itself through him.
He then Enters the Computer Room.
After leaving the room he has the same Bat-signal vision as Dick.
Vision of himself kinda twitching and glitching on the floor before becoming limp and disappearing.
Enters the next room where the Robin suit is an a locker covered in cobwebs and "Wanted: looking for new Robin" posters. Bruce's voice is stating that he wants a Robin that's anyone other then Tim.
(I think I forgot it in a couple places, but every character experiences Bruce saying mean things)
And lastly every Character after their last vision sees Bruce stumble around a corner and disappear before starting the leaving the labyrinth sequence, which is the same for all of them.
So, here's my interpretations for all this. Specifically with how the Court plays on each of their fears:
Babs: When she became too injured to be Batgirl and became Oracle. They play on her fears about how she couldn't be there, even though it's not her fault. Mainly focusing on her dad.
Dick: Falling, literally. Failing both his parents and Bruce.
Tim: His fears about what Bruce thinks of him, about his place as Robin and his place in the family.
Jason: Here's where it's really interesting, Jason is the only one to have only one extra "room/vision" aside from the base ones they all experience. The Court tries once to hurt him with the Pit, and Jason firmly says that he's not that anymore. The court no longer tries after that. The others try to fight anything said, but rather weakly and they half believe it. Not Jason, he firmly says no. It's like after his death his fears aren't something the Court can understand or replicate.
I think it's also interesting how Tim differs from the others in some of the basic interactions, which I've already stated.
Anyways, it's rather late the time I'm writing this, but I thought it was really interesting. The developers could have stuck with the same base with only minor changes for each character, but they went pretty far out. It's one of the things that makes me love this game.

Anita jean!
ANITAT JEAN!!!
Alright so the Little Wren AU is basically just 'Bruce manages to find Anita after she fakes her death' and she actually does become his first sidekick. She isn't a fighter, Bruce puts her under three layers of armor, and she basically fills a mage and healer role with first aid (mostly for civilians and criminals) and the virtual reality gas drug, the use of which allows batman to remain a cryptid for far longer.
Anita also takes longer to get the hang of grappling hooks because she's less coordinated than even Tim but she does get them probably not too long after Dick comes to the manner since the two can train together. Her inability to use grappling hooks when she first enters the field is why The Whirly-Bat was made, named The Hummingbird in this au because it's Anita's and was named before Dick was adopted into the family and took a bat-gimmick to every piece of equipment in the cave. Before he joined the team, Bruce and Anita were work shopping names for a lot of their stuff but hadn't come to decisions for most of them, so Dick still gets to do that, but not for Anita's Hummingbird.
Rather than the dynamic duo, this au has either a tritastic trio of Batman, Wren, and Robin, or the dynamic duo is seen as Wren and Robin, as Batman's sidekicks. When Tim ends up at the manner, Anita basically tells him he's too tactical to be Robin and gives him the Wren mantle, which she either had already left behind or was in the process of considering it. Steph ends ends up becoming his paired Robin, for much longer than Canon.
Steph initiating that plan that required Matches Malone probably still happens, but with Anita's help she's able to salvage it, but it opens up an entirely new set of problems because at that point Anita was already on the verge of discovering The Court of Owls (because their one give away was a nursery rhyme and she wanted to find out it's origin because it's her hobby) and now The Court sees the bat clan take control of the city basically in it's entirety so those two things combined make The Court release the elite talons. A temporary alliance with The League of Assassins and the timely first arrival of Cass in the city means they just barely manage to win. This is also the family's first introduction to Damian and a recently resurrected Jason is probably also there, but dressed like the rest of the assassins so he isn't recognized.
Anita herself, which is what this au is actually about, is going to be depicted as better adjusted due to not living her life since she was, like, eight alone and eventually dedicated to revenge. She has hyperfixations on birds, nursery rhymes, programming, and tech and is an excellent detective. I already mentioned she's less coordinated starting out but that doesn't mean she's weak, she'd probably be able to beat Dick in a fight when he first gets to the manor since he's at that point just a gymnast but she's been training as a martial artist for like six months at that point.
Speaking of Dick, I really look forward to writing their banter. They are going to be so sassy to each other but very protective of each other. Almost as much as they're both protective of every one younger siblings, which, and seeing some of your posts this may be disappointing, isn't going to be terribly long. Finding a way to fit every obscure batfam character in is for my other dc au, the same one that my ruleset for Claire's powers is for, but I do have Calvin, Charlie, and and Dana (Talon, Misfit, and Strike) as sure-shows for Little Wren.
Long-Term, the au's story-arc will focus on the eventual take down of The Parliament of Owls as the main antagonists, as it feels fitting for an Anita Jean focused story for previously stated Nursery Rhyme related reasons, although I do also plan for The League to be taken down due to Tim still having his globetrotting adventure and then the batfam actually capitalizing on it.
Edit for Addendum: the first paragraph makes it sound like Anita never fights, I should clarify that her role on the team does evolve as she gets older and Bruce becomes more lenient.
