Oz in wonderland

So seeing from the trailer where the woman with the chain says that if Ruby wanted she could strip away her old personality like an old cold and then we possibly see John in the teaser trailer we got from July last year as a night and that is himself I'm thinking that if I ended up in wonderland at one point he was there till the end of whatever that like-minded souls life was because if he ain't going there this time I don't think he would have been able to escape after all the judgment the lying try to protect himself but also trying to protect others but being confused about his feelings towards allies he needs and secrets he wants to keep I don't think he would fare well in wonderland due to his mental state and all the identities and attachments he's going through had and loss

He would maybe want to strip his life away as a ozma

Than there's Oscar hr ok with who he be coming we see that in volume 9

But the merge for him is still a issue for him

He wouldn't want to change who he his caz he still can grow but it didn't mean he could leave wonderland like he want

But I all so can't help but wonder who made wonderland ozma,one of his past life or may his kids from his ozma2.0 life

I think Oz now's of wonderland so I wonder if the long memory can help the other get back the design on the cane looks like roots/vines

Could it be linked to the tree the girls think could take him home

Thinking about She-Ra again and Catra saying "all I do is hurt people, there is no-one left in the entire universe who cares about me" and then sending Glimmer out of Horde Prime's base, doing what she thought would be the one-good-thing in her life and how that could be applied to Neo in Wonderland, and then mixing it with the strange feeling that I've had for a while that she might stay in Wonderland.

And then thinking that, if she gets reedemed, the one-good-thing in her life might be sacrificing herself by staying in Wonderland so JRWBY can go.

Because, she might think, what would I return to Remnant?

Like is cruel, but is awfully true. There is no-one left in the whole world who cares about Neo, there is no reason at all of why she would desire to go back to Remnant.

Her parents? Both are dead (because of her partially), and even if they were alive, they didn't want anything to do with her (especially her father), and she doesn't have any other familiar.

Friends? She has been isolated her whole life, and when she wasn't, she was being bullied by a lot of girls (looking bad at you Melanie and Miltia); Lady Beatriz wasn't a figure Neo could lean on or a figure that actually cared for Neo, and she is also dead. She doesn't have a bond neither with Mercury or Emerald, and Cinder, who could possibly had been a new bond, betrayed her.

She neither has a teacher or instructor who could possibly care for her.

The only real bond she has ever had in her entire life is Roman, a parental figure, a friend and a instructor.

And she has lost him.

She doesn't have a home to return neither, her childhood home has been buried to ash and she hates that place, she doesn't belong to any crime organization or has someone that will be willing to open their home to her.

She might have a home when Roman and her once lived, but that place would be full of memories that might hurt, and what she needs is to heal.

And even if she returns, the things that she has done can't be errased (is not like she wants to errase them neither), she has hurt a lot of people and should pay for that, but we know she would rather die before being locked up again.

So, for Neo, she might not have an actual reason to return to Remnant, not family, not friends, not home, and if she reedems and wants to do "the right thing" for one time, then I think she wouldn't have any problem in sacrificing herself by staying in Wonderland if that means that the actual heroes can go home, a home that she doesn't feel like her home anymore.

And would that even be a sacrifice if it is what she desires?

The one desire she has ever had based on what she wants and not influenced by anyone?

So after watching the OP a few times, I think I may have a hunch about this mysterious girl who I think we’re all going to be calling ‘Alice’...

First, she’s repeatedly juxtaposed with Ruby throughout the OP

We also see her silouette running at the front of Weiss, Blake and Yang while Ruby trails behind.

We even see her apparently turn into Ruby at one point.

We also see her framed in a mirror while Ruby is falling.

And the end of the OP shows Crescent Rose washing up on the beach behind her.

What if this ‘Alice’ is looking to somehow... replace Ruby in some shape or form? Perhaps as a means of getting out of the ever after?

Though admittedly, the fact that she’s also juxtaposed with Neo could be a hint of something else entirely.

So not me coming back from the dead just to talk about the new characters, Gidel and Fellow Honest.

Like most people, I fell in love with these two when they were finally revealed but something about their appearances reminded me of a certain duo…

And I couldn’t think of it until now: ROMAN TORCHWICK AND NEOPOLITAN‼️

This might just be my delusional ass talking but let me explain.

- Both consists of a sexy and dapper redhead with long luxurious lashes, and fights/welds a cane.

- Both also have a short sidekick that’s mute.

- Are con artists (probably some tragic backstory behind it).

- Both duo have a familial relationship with each other.

- Allude to similar fairytales, Pinocchio in this case.

- Have beef with teenagers.

I could list more but since this event literally just came out, imma have to slow my ass down 💀 Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk tho

Random idea but a Yuu being a cyborg like Penny is in RWBY. They have a soul because their parent litteraly split their own soul to give them one, and thus their own personality, they act oblivious to stuff and social cues because they don't have experience with that sort of stuff, however due to their parent being protective of them they are more than a little combat ready. Really they are similar to Penny as a Pinocchio parallel. Also imagine them just vibing with Idia and Ortho. Just, INTERACTIONS!

Yuu and Ortho meet eyes for one second and now they're best buds. 10/10 they would totally destroy the school for each other.

I'm so sorry they'd probably download the Queen of Heart's rules in a night to make sure they don't mess up in Chapter 1, thus avoiding the tart fiasco (Riddle still ends up getting mad at Ace for another rule he broke during the Unbirthday Party though)

I dread to think Yuu accidentally breaking the rules though, not to spite Riddle, but because some of the rules are based on social cues, which Yuu DOESN'T notice.

I think Yuu would love learning about the hobbies the cast goes on. Like...They can't sleep but they'd play a lullaby that they remember their parent singing to them, just to hang out with Leona who slept by the third verse-

Yuu would totally allow Rook or Vil to braid their hair or make a new style out of it. They also enjoy exploring the local fashion - asking them for fashion advice.

Sadly, they can't swim due to cyborg parts :/ Yuu does work in Mostro Lounge for the experience. (The octo trio don't take advantage of them though. Whether by their own violation or Ortho made a promise that it'd be ON SIGHT is up to you)

I think their friends would find their stories of the RWBY world fascinating. Especially their world's fight against the Grimm.

(Lowkey, I'd think Yuu would double take when Grim says his name. Cue a lot of careful watching to make sure Grim isn't some demon hellbent on killing people)

I’m trying to have a coherent thought here about Ruby and Neo parallels. I’m getting on my tinfoil hat here bare with me.

In Roman Holiday Neo doesn’t really have motives aside from wanting someone to understand her. She finds that in Roman who is the first person to acknowledge her abilities and treat her like an actual genuine friend. Her only goal in the Fall of Beacon was to stay with Roman. So much of her identity was tied to him because she was able to comfortably be herself around him.

We already know that Ruby’s identity is also tied to someone important to her, her mom. That doesn’t need much explaining. I think in order for either of them to move forward they would need to let go of the metaphorical ghosts they’re chasing which is easier said than done and I’m not entirely sure that Neo would be able to as spiteful as she is.

Basically what I’m saying is Ruby VS Neo but add in some Ego Death.

So an interesting thought just occurred to me concerning the potential Alice in Wonderland allusions we seem likely to get in Volume 9. Obviously, there has been and will continue to be a lot of theorizing about which characters/entities in the Ever After could allude to certain AiW characters.

However, given RWBY’s track record of flipping/inverting/generally playing around with their allusions, what if we’ve already met a number of these AiW allusions?

After all, when we look at the list of characters from the books, we could very well already have...

...a Red Queen,

...a White Queen,

...an extremely MAD, Hatter,

...a Cheshire Cat,

...and if a certain theory about Branwen’s and inheriting magic turns out to be accurate, maybe even a Jabberwock.

And considering that this volume feels extremely likely to include a ‘Leave Your Quest Test’, ie; our heroines being tempted to give up on their journey and simply stay where they are, then Team RWBY and co. already having a narrative ‘place’ in this world would make that temptation feel all the more plausible.
