Neytiri, and Tsu'tey React to Their S/O Singing a Song In Their Native Language

Author's Note: I'm in the mood plus I'm finally figuring out a way to managed time for college and work yay! Plus I think it would cool to give folks something if English isn't their native language. I've been listening to jpop a lot lately, was inspired by it. I'm listening to covers of A Disease Called Love

(N/L) = Native Language name :3

(S/N) = Name of song you like

Context before reactions: English is not your first language, you learn how to speak it at some point in your life on Earth. After the RDA finally leaves Pandora for good to find another planet to find a new home. You build a little "secret" place near the village to escape from everyday life and practice music from your former home. You started playing some music on your microphone and begin singing your favorite songs. Little did you know that your mate is nearby and heard your voice.

I like to think Neytiri heard a little bit of the many languages from Grace at the school. She might've have seen a few humans talking in different languages too. But she may not know all of the names and might've been curious at one point.

She was hunting nearby when she heard unknown sounds, she quickly realize it was you. So she finished her hunt quickly and go to your "secret" place. Neytiri was intrigue when she heard you singing but she couldn't understand what you were saying.

Neytiri stood silent as she listens to your song. She couldn't resist smiling, she may not like the tech as it's a reminder of the RDA but it was different.

After you finished Neytiri knock on the door, you greet her and let her come in.

Neytiri: "Y/N what was that?"

Y/N: "What do you mean?"

Neytiri: "The words you were saying, its not Na'vi nor English,"

Y/N: "It was (N/L),"

Neytiri: "Its sounds familiar I recall Grace talking about it."

Y/N: "English is not my native language, I learn how to speak it a long time ago,"

Neytiri: "What was that song you were singing?"

Y/N: "Its called (S/N), its song from my former home on Earth,"

Neytiri: "Can you sing it again?"

You obliged and begin singing again, Netyiri found her lightly tapping her finger to the beat. She might ask you if you can teach her a few words when you both have time.

Tsu'tey wanted to invite you to fly with him for a date. You told him about your "secret" place and where to find it. You admit it was to get some alone time and mess around.

When he heard you singing. He was confused cause he normally heard you in Na'vi or English. It was completely different, he wonder what was going on.

Then he remembers that humans speak different languages he finds the concept really weird and confusing. He arrived when you are done singing. Tsu'tey greeted you in the na'vi way, (as seen in the gif)

Tsu'tey: "I heard you singing what was...that?"

Y/N: "It was (N/L), "

Tsu'tey: "What were you singing?"

Y/N: "It was one of my favorite songs from Earth, its called (S/N),"

Tsu'Tey: "Do you miss Earth?"

Y/N: "In a way yes, I was feeling a bit sentimental today,"

Tsu'tey: "What does the song mean?"

You told him about the song and your old home, at least the good memories you made. After the conversation you two went out flying having a bit of fun. In the evening after you two found a place to rest. you sang again and he found himself humming along. He finds it cute.

Gojo:

Definitely Lady Gaga, he would probably start singing paparazzi in the school halls or in the middle of Tokyo and embarrass Shoko and Suguru. Kesha, Marina the diamonds, Beyonce, basically any 2000's pop music, and maybe some heavy metal because of Suguru.

Jogo:

Eminem, Drake, Ice Cube, Ludacris, Tupac. Basically any type of 90's rap since he seems like he'd be very into rapping if he wasn't a curse.

Mahito:

Nightcore.

Utahime:

Classical, traditional types of music. Death Metal after she needs to let off steam usually because she talked to Gojo.

Geto:

Most likely he would listen to heavy metal and he'd be very into the rock genre, maybe some my chemical romance? Would probably listen to pop for Gojo though. Deftones, Slipknot, KoRn, Three days grace etc. Secretly Mitski too.

Nanami:

Podcasts.

Shoko:

Cigarette.

Toni’s worm:

He really likes music pertaining to issues he has experienced over the years. For example, Kyoto by Phoebe Bridgers due to the relationship he had with his father. He likes a lot of other indie sounding music, such as Noah Kahan, Tame Impala, Fleetwood Mac, the Lumineers, Radiohead and so on. Probably a lot of Mitski.

Sukuna:

He would listen to the static that's about it.

Kenjaku:

Death Metal, Heavy Metal, every metal, and kpop + jpop, favorite song is Gee by Girl's Generation.

MeiMei:

Cardi B, Doja Cat, SZA, Lana Del Rey, Rihanna, etc.

Yuki: Just about anything really but she tends to lean towards upbeat, loud pop music most of the time. Beyoncé number 1 fan.

Welcome to My Health and Fitness Blog 💗

Hello lovelies!

This is somewhat of a side blog to my current one @ros3ybabe that I created to kind of keep my health and fitness content separate from my life, school, overall me type of content. I want a blog where I can just solely focus on my health and fitness goals!

I love kpop, jpop, pink pilates aesthetic, going to the gym, skincare, academic validation, and living my best life <3

Current Goal Weight: 180lbs

I love being healthy and making sustainable lifestyle choices that will benefit me long term rather than trying to find short term fixes.

I'm always open to questions, tips, advice, etc!

Health is a very multi faceted thing. For me, it includes all aspects of physical health, mental health, emotional health, etc. so I will be sharing fitness, nutrition, and a variety of health posts on this blog!

I look forward to posting to this blog and updating everyone on my goals, achievements, and even my setbacks as it's all a part of learning!

Class 1A Boys + music they listen to (PART 2)

There's always that ONE person who is like a parent when it comes to his whole class and music making sure it's "school appropriate" and that would be no other than the class rep, Iida.

Has a playlist for literally his life routine lol (study, relaxing, outings, running in the rain in his retro raincoat 😂,etc.). I feel like he would listen to like 90's music, classic rock (his fav artist is Foo Fighters for sure) he doesn't mind playing his stuff every now and then but he's busy most of the time preparing for class. nerd lol.

May sound shocking but he likes SOME rap but it's all old school rap/hip-hop like Biggie, Ice T, Usher, MC Hammer but he only listens to it outside of U.A though because he doesn't want "taint his image of class rep". He tried trying new school rap and..let's say he'll just stay where he is (he almost got hurt BUT that's for another story!)

The only classmate that is so chill with almost every genre of music is Sero. Even songs in different languages and more exotic genres like nudisco, jazzfunk, and french house (which are his favorites, cause it's a rarity he cherishes). He would play japanese funk while he drives down the road JUST for the ✨aesthetic✨ (future au idea). Dua Lipa, Kali Uchis, Doja Cat, Rosalia, JIAFEI just any other artist that sings in another language other than english he'll know. And he sings it so well but has no idea what a lick of it means well except for japanese.

Is not scared of talking about it to any of his classmates and actually persuading them to give it a try or if he plays it on his bluetooth speaker before class starts and then one of his classmates asks him the next day for ex: Tokoyami asks him "Hey Sero, what was that techo like song were you playing yesterday, for some reason it's in my head." and then the tape boi will go through his recently played songs from yesterday (he's a yt music kinda guy tbh). Then basically almost everybody is interested in what he has in store next

In other words he's the one who always brings his speaker to class but is respectful and plays it before class even starts, he's an early bird.

Denki, is the twin of Sero cool with any kind of music but leans more into the weebcore/rap category. He most likely will play weeb music in his dorm room, the usual anime openings and ending theme songs with a dorky smile on his face humming along while reading manga.

Is the aux cord GOD, will never disappoint the Bakusquad with any music he plays in the car he'll play some Marshmello and everyone would get littt🔥🔥🔥 or some nostalgic jpop to sing awfully off tune to to piss off Bakugo ofc.

came across this small opinion piece and they just said what i've been thinking so well:

In the episode of the podcast I just posted, one of my guests says that, traditionally, one of the important elements of Kpop was the intertextual relationships. We see group members on variety and dramas and commercials and get to know them through these lenses, adding another dimension to our enjoyment of their songs and performances. These media appearances also bring in new fans to the group. [...] This is a very traditional way for idol groups to become popular.

So, let’s circle back to Cha Eun Woo. He’s not a dance, rap, or vocal ace but he has something equally valuable to Astro--numerous and popular drama roles and brand endorsements. Cha Eun Woo is known the way idols used to be known. His extremely handsome face isn’t just some random idol on a birthday advertisement in the subway, it’s recognizable by normal people. Cha Eun Woo is a huge asset to a group like Astro. His popularity not only brings new fans to Astro but also helps open doors for other members. “Oh, he’s in Cha Eun Woo’s group” is a much more compelling hook for the average viewer than “Oh, he’s in one of the dozens of idol groups I’ve never heard of and have no connection to and whose name goes in one ear and out the other like a puff of smoke.”

I’ve written about this before but views, streams, physical album sales, etc. are transitory measurements. These numerics that the young generation of fans have been trained to see as the ultimate prize are just numbers. It’s understandable that fans are being encouraged to value numerics by the big Kpop companies because it keeps fans engaged on the fandom treadmill, buying and streaming and spending hours voting on music show apps like their lives depended on it. But it’s not all that valuable to the idols themselves--certainly not as valuable as having a member who is known by the general public for his drama roles and handsome face. I don’t know where the idea that every group needs to have attention evenly divided or that one member can’t have solo work if others don’t have solo work entered into fandom but I have my suspicions. While there’s nothing wrong with fans advocating for their favorite member to have more solo work, I do think there’s something wrong with fans advocating to hold a member back as I’ve sensed has been the case from certain corners with Cha Eun Woo. The long term health and success of a male idol group in the mold of SMAP--which is what very much Astro is--depends on the members having strong individual images and brands outside of the group. The idea that the members have to do everything together at all times is unworkable in the long run just as the idea that a group can rely completely on the obsessive streaming and viewing and buying of a core group of fans is unworkable in the long run. This new generation of foreign fans has lost those intertextual connections. “KPop” has increasingly become isolated not just from old subculture spaces where fans mixed with anime and Jpop fans but even from mainstream dramas and variety shows and Korean show business, generally. It’s led to this odd bubble where the most popular groups among stans barely even have name recognition in Korea outside of Kpop fandom. It wasn’t always like this.

I still don't understand the obsession with Seiya. Let's just think about this situation from Usagi's perspective. Your fiance has gone to another country for school while you remain in your own country where you're just trying to get through school while something inside is telling you something is very wrong with your fiance because he's not calling. However, as if this isn't bad enough, some popular guy starts stalking you and insisting on being in a relationship with you although you already mentioned more than once you have a boyfriend, you have tried to let them off gently, but they can't seem to take the hint. To add more salt to the wound, your friends are encouraging this behavior and gaslighting you into playing along just so they can get with the guy themselves, which leads to you being humiliated and bullied. All the while, you still worry about your fiance and having the other guy continually insult him and trying convince you that he doesn't even love you anymore.

Because you know emotional abuse and gaslighting are just signs of love, right?

I have always looked at the situation from her POV ever since I watch Stars back in 2017. Especially the first episode after Mamo left and S.A.D and their two back up singers I mean the other two Starlights come to their school.

All Usagi wanted to do was try to get trough the school year without Mamo being there and be unbothered.

That's it.

Because the looks she gave them through that whole episode..

"I don't want to fuck with you. Leave me the fuck alone."

Which was so fucking relatable!!!

She showed zero interest in the fact S.A.D was an idol and The Starlight’s while the other girls was gushing over them.

All she wanted to do was make it through the rest of the school year without Mamo in peace damn it!

She told Luna when she ask if it was a club she was want to join like the girls are and this was her answer.

If the school said they was doing a student exchange program with high school students in America aka Boston Mass where Harvard is at, Usagi would be the first to put her name on the list and get the fuck out of there to see her man. English be damned. ( Which how the other four and Luna treat her I don't blame her. ) ( She looks like an Alien in the last pic but the 90's anime have the best animation... )

When S.A.D and the Starlights come to school, so was so unfazed with the fact they were Jpop Stars/Idols while all the other girls around the school was fangirling since they were apart of the fanclub. Also while Mina was start scheming, Mako was fangirling, Ami was secretly fangirling and Rei went from her damn school to their school just to see them after school.

Just think about the fact that she technically met them first before the four groupies I mean her friends met them.

But the way they acted toward Usagi because it because she could careless about them and the other two..

Doesn't make any sense.

And I get it.

It was nothing wrong with them fangirling over JPop Stars/Idols/ Boy Brands.

I am a 90's baby who was kid during TRL days on MTV and it was Backstreet Boys Vs.Nsync Vs. 98 Degrees. ( This was before social media was a thing)

My classmates had pics of B2K, Pretty Ricky, and other black bands on the wall and fight over who was their fave.

Hell Might as well include Boys to Men, All for One, New Edition.

Hell my sister was a HUGE fan of New Kids on the Block when she a teenager. Which now a few years ago, she got into KPop and is a huge fan of Shinee and other Kpop groups like NCT 127 ( and the off shoot groups with it's fifty elven members lol) , EXO, Stray Kids and others. Hell it got me into listening girl groups like Mamamoo, Red Velvet, Girls' Generation, CLC, Black Pink, After School and others

So I understand that and the fact they are 16 year old's girls because I was their age once.

Hell Naoko in the manga got them fangirling over them as well but it's a balance which the 90's anime didn't give them. They kept pushing S.A.D on her for their own personal grain and not thinking about Usagi doesn't want NOTHING to do with them.

Because this shit in that Softball episode and the Episode where S,A.D is at her house alone..

She gives two fucks that S.A.D is an Idol. All she wants is to see her damn boyfriend.

And she keep telling S.A.D over and over again." Hey I have a boyfriend." Hey I really don't vibe with you. Leave me alone." Hey We are not dating. I got someone I'm waiting on to come back." and S.A. D keep thinking " Oh She's just playing hard to get. She really digs me. Let me keep throwing my weight I mean Swag around her. "

Which ends up to their own heartbreak on the damn roof when it supposed to been about her and not about them.

Cause that moment was about her. I’m really tried of seeing so many scenes in the 90’s anime that her feelings get sideline for someone else. I’m tired of the part of fandom saying it’s about both of them.

She is on the damn ground in the gotdamn rain venting about missing her (dead) boyfriend cause she doesn’t have a clue why he’s not replying in which she told NOONE the whole damn season that she haven’t and you have the nerve to be like “ Am I not Good Enough”

You would done so much better if you would have hug her or just told her “ Come on lets get you out of this rain.”

Since they keep putting themselves in a situation that they know jackshit about and thinking Mamo didn't give a damn about her which is father from the damn truth.

" Oh He's making her sad..He doesn't love her.." DON'T TOUCH SHIT THAT DON'T BELONG TO YOU!

The more insult to injury after the rooftop scence her "best friend" have the nerve to say this.

Child If your ass was paying attention the whole season instead of hightailing your ass from your school to the girls school just to see the damn Starlights you would have fucking knew all the damn time she told space alien dive ass that she had a damn boyfriend. She may have told yall that she haven't heard from him since he left but since yall been shitty ass friends for almost 200 episodes...

Especially one arc in particular which you sit up here , joked about her being dumped and precede to give her the most shitty ass advice you can give someone. " Oh You got to trust him" even tho he really give her ZERO reasons to trust him since he was hot and cold towards her. Which the rest of yall was like " Oh he had his reasons" which he did but yall didn't fucking rally behind her which yall most def didn't rally behind her dealing with Seiya and could told them to back off.

No yall asses was too busy using her proximity to Space Alien Diva ass and their two back up singers for yall own personal grain.

Be damned about a friend yall claim yall love and want to protect feelings.

HER FEELINGS NEVER FUCKING MATTERED TO NO ONE BUT FUCKING MAMORU!

But hey

People always going to use the break up arc against him when the one time he wasn't thinking rationally at all because all he wanted to do was protect her ( which he honestly though not from the dreams he was having but from himself because he still through he couldn't have no one close to him. Since he didn't have a set of friends and support system like Usagi did) which he didn't think it through and how it would affect her and himself greatly.

He was a freaking 17 years old boy having a dream about marrying the girl he is in love with ,having her die on which supposed to be the happiest day of their lives and having a booming voice to telling him " Oh you need to stay away from Usagi" which in his mind translates to him thinking that he is bad news/curse to her since she already died one lifetime because of their love.

Which he would rather just put the burden of staying away from her and dealing with it on his own instead of just telling her. Which for a 17 year old boy what the fuck do you expect? He have not matured yet which the most rational thing to do was to tell her. ( But hell some adults still don't tell shit.) Rei had dreams in S about the whole world including the girls getting destroyed and haven't told a soul until Pluto told her to tell them. No one got on her withholding important information about the world to her team.

But oh no

That's not forgivable but "Am I not good enough" is

When a person who made Usagi finally breaking down about missing Mamo and feeling like she can't do all this shit she is dealing with by herself into being " Hey what about me?"

I mean what about you?

Half of the season you got on her damn nerves thinking she was playing hard to get when she was constantly telling you she had a boyfriend and wasn't interested.

The rest of the season yall become friends but you thought you can " Treat her better than he can."

Then being upset that you found your princess and she's not interested in you so transfer your feelings to a person who most def not interested in you and your ass got hurt because you wouldn't simply listen to her and leave her the fuck alone.

Unrequited love is a bitch but come the fuck on.

Then it trips me out when people translates that scene to "Oh Am I not doing a good enough job to distract you from your sadness.” instead of S.A.D trying to “replace” Mamo is still making the scene about them.

Because S.A.D is still not understanding the fact that when she saw that rose, everything she held on inside the whole season come out and it was not only just about Mamo.

She have a group of friends and still feels utterly alone to the point that she didn’t even tell them she heard nothing from Mamo.

She has a guardian cat that she don’t even tell her what’s going on because she is so judgmental and still act like Usagi can’t do the work.

She misses not only Mamo that she doesn’t know what’s going on with him not retuning her calls or her letters but missing Chibiusa.

She have to deal with Outers and the Starlights bullshit and how the Outers don’t want to hang with S.A.D or be allies with the Starlights. While the Starlights don’t want S.A.D to do the same thing.

She constantly dealing with the inners shit and how they acted like groupies while using her to try to get close to S.A.D the until they found out S.A.D and Starlights identities. Which the inners are completely useless in fights she is having now.

She had to deal with S.A.D shit and not understanding that she have a boyfriend and just ask her to do things before just thinking she will automatedly do it with them.

To top that all off she got to deal with Galaxia and her people stealing people Star Seed.

All the while not having the one person that have been by her side since she become Sailor Moon. Mamoru.

No 16 year old girl should have to deal with that much shit.

And it all come ahead with her seeing that rose and think maybe just maybe he come back to her finally. That she’s not alone.

The saddness she feels runs deep and just because you think you finally decided to stop “ shoot your shot” and be supported of her you think it’s going to “Proof” magically disappear. Because you make her smile or laugh for a few minutes.

Naw dear It doesn’t work that way. No way in hell does it way that way because it’s more than her missing her boyfriend.

Usagi was depressed this season and you can’t tell me otherwise. So no amount of S.A.D trying to make her “ happy” would actually make her “ happy” if she’s not mentally.

But we should feel bad for S.A.D because they love her oh so much by pushing boundaries and throwing emotional baggage that weight a fucking ton on a girl who have to deal with her OWN emotional baggage!!

some utahime iori hcs i been collecting in my head

i have nowhere else to dump my thoughts so here i am. mostly young utahime iori headcanons bc HI arc was so fun

utahime is a straight A student, she's a perfectionist, has good work ethics, organized, helps everyone around her, etc--a good cookie basically. i can see her being the class president or whatever is equivalent to jjk academics

she's not exactly in par with her peers when it comes to CT, like she knows and she's aware of her skills/limitations. she tries her best not to get lost and sad when she sees her classmates and underclassmen (especially a certain tall junior who's been annoying her since the first day >_>) surpass her

she tries very hard to compensate her skills and hopes to be recognized for her talent and skills as one of the best, just like her classmates! she's very proud of them and always supports them. yet, she cant help but feel so inferior and imposter syndrome hitting her when she doesn't get the results she wanted from the higher ups

she doesn't come from a very big clan with CT (unless gege states something), i can see utahime being raised by her grandparents or her grandma before going to tokyo jujutsu high. her grandma passed away and she was basically living on her own for a while

I'm standing by the idea she attended tokyo jujutsu high over kyoto. she came from kyoto but was recruited to attend tokyo once someone heard her singing and curse energy molded through

besides baseball, one of her favorite things to do during her time living as a student was go to karaoke and sing/dance. she loved to sing modern pop songs she heard from radios, old jpop classics, ballads

when she was finally on her last year at the tech school, she met her new juniors. she met shoko first, geto, then gojo. she tries her best to be a good responsible role model for them but that broke almost immediately when 2/3 (or 1/3 really) started to tease her on the first hour and she snapped accidentally. (embarrassed she tried to apologize but the guy was just laughing???)

she gets asked out a lot on dates! usually from upperclassmen or non-sorcerers during her outings. she doesn't go on dates though though because of her lifestyle, missions, school, etc but when she does the relationship doesn't last too long :(

she doesn't really have a best friend until shoko came along. with her class peers often gone for missions, she was always alone until shoko came along. (i don't think meimei and utahime are at the same graduating year, acquaintances at best with some respect for each other)

utahime doesn't really have a specific reason for why she wanted so badly to be a grade 1 sorcerer. for a while, she's in that chase and grind to get that promotion but she's unsure why but she'll do anything for it

she doesn't have the greatest memories of her parents. she remembers her mom and some ladies in her life telling her often to marry into a rich, well-off family, have powerful children etc 🫠. as she got older, she realized she doesn't mind marriage but she also wants to do more and be a sorcerer too

she didn't consider being a teacher at first but after some heartfelt conversation with yaga, she decided to at least keep that option alive until she was ready to try it

she wasn't a drinker before. it wasn't until she got deep into heavy missions where the joy of izakaya became sort of a treat. nothing beats a cold beer and some fried foods after a stressful time out🤤

i like to think that utahime worked part time as a night club singer when she wasn't doing missions or at least to make some extra money while living in tokyo. i like to imagine her singing this one song from one of my favorite video games (more on that later)
