Solar Flare (Feyd-Rautha x Reader)

Summary: Chosen as the bride of na-Baron Feyd-Rautha, Y/N finds herself at the hands of the sadistic na-Baron who seems keen on having his bride on their wedding night...

Geidi Prime was so different from her own world, one that was known for its windy, sunny atmosphere where nearly anything thrived in the fertile soil; she looked out the window of the bedroom she was in, seeing how the black sun of the planet truly blotted out any color. She could hear the hum of life within the ship as she awaited for her brother to summon her, to see if her fate would be sealed or not.

She wore a simple satin dress of a lavender shade, her hair loose and held back by two simple braids with some bells that hung from it as it was a fashion trend in her planet. Y/N sucked in a breath as she recalled her reason for being on Geidi Prime, that reason being that her brother was selling her off like a broodmare to the na-Baron of House Harkonnen.

She had heard the rumors of Feyd-Rautha, the sadistic nature of the man and it made her tremble in fear as she thought about it.

Knock. Knock.

Turning her head, Y/N looked at the bedroom door, watching it slid open to reveal her handmaid, Illaria.

"Your brother is calling for you", she said, Y/N felt her hands go sweaty as she knew why he was calling her.

"Where is he?" her brother asked, inpatient.

They were outside their ship on the landing pad where Houses meet, the bright light from their ship fought back the black-white filter that the black sun gave. She stood slightly behind her brother as he grumbled, she knew he was doing this to gain more Spice, the man was addicted to it.

"The Harkonnens are not known for their puncuality", her brother's advisor, Minos replied.

Minos was an overweight man with a long beard that nearly went past his heavy stomach.

Y/N looked between the two men chatting before seeing the Harkonnens, her heart skipped a beat as Minos joyfully went to greet them; she saw the large, menacing figure of the Baron, how slumped in his floating seat he was. She saw all of their ghastly pale skin and hairless appearance that differed from the beauty standard of long, thick hair on her planet.

And it was then she saw him: Feyd-Rautha, he was similar to his kin with the white skin and bald head, dark eyes that were sinister and she swore she saw black teeth.

"Do you see him?" her brother whispered, gripping her arm. "Feyd-Rautha is the fiercest warrior in the universe, they say he's never been defeated in battle. Of course, he's a Harkonnen and a savage... but you're going to be his na-Baroness."

He chuckled just as Minos called out to her to join him where the House stood.

Slowly, she made her way to where Minos was and she saw Feyd locking eyes with her. When she got to where Minos was, he moved her a little in front of her just as Feyd walked up to her, staring down at her.

He had a lean figure, she noted as he stared at her with his black eyes and she saw his tongue lick his bottom lip as he stared. His skin was practically white from the planet and she saw he had a slightly protruding eyebrow bone but he was a handsome man, a psychotic man but handsome.

She stared into his ink-black eyes, the smell of the polluted air of the planet going into her nose as he stared back into her own E/C eyes. His eyes trailed her full figure, taking in her hair and appearance as they stared at one another for what felt like an eternity before he turned to his uncle and walking away with the others following behind.

Y/N felt herself let out a breath as she lived, he hadn't killed her.

"Wait! Did he like her?" her brother cried out, rushing to where they were.

Y/N blinked at the interaction as Minos said, "he liked her."

"How could you tell?"

"Trust me, Feyd Rautha makes it known when he does not like a woman."

"Well then, when is the wedding?" her brother asked, Minos looked at her.

"Soon", Minos said, Y/N felt dread at his answer.

Soon enough, the wedding to her Harkonnen groom came and it was an event. Fireworks were booming as in one of the many Grand Halls, drums were beat up as the music was loud as she sat near her now husband, who was taking pleasure in watching a fight between two men over a woman commenced. Y/N held back a grimace as she looked around and saw the table where the food was, she prayed that the meats on that table weren't human.

Minos mumbled that if there were no fights during a Harkonnen wedding, then it was not a wedding. The ceremony had been a brief one with the Baron, himself, officiating the ceremony and dark, throaty singing in the background as he talked of how she was now Feyd-Rautha's in body and mind, that her will was now his and her duty to produce heirs.

Feyd, himself, had been dressed in a black leather ceremonial suit that was fitted to his body while Y/N had been forced in an tight, silk dress that had slits on either side of her body, a deep cleavage bearing neck line and the veil she had been given to wear trailed behind her in a long train.

The maids that had gotten her ready had told her that Feyd had found her fuller figure appealing hence the dress and her hair hung down as she was also told her enjoyed that as well.

Y/N saw one of the attendees grab a rather bloody piece of dark meat from the table and she recalled the cannibalistic nature of Geidi Prime; the festivities proceeded before suddenly, Feyd stood up and she swallowed her spit as her breath got caught.

She had hoped he would turn to his concubines for the wedding but it seemed he truly wanted to consummate their marriage and Y/N felt her heart beating faster as the music, as everything stopped.

Feyd was waiting for her down the steps as everyone stared at her, she slowly got up as she felt her eyes want to water. He held a hand out and Y/N slowly walked down the steps, feeling the stares of everyone as she grasped his hand before letting out a small squeal as the man threw her over his shoulder without effort.

The room erupted into laughter and clapping, music picking up as Feyd walked around, carrying her around like she was some prized animal he hunted. The attendees were enjoying the show as Y/N felt a sense of humiliation before it was finally over and he walked them out of the hall.

It was silent with the exception of the fireworks.

"Are you frightened?"

His voice was raspy and Y/N swallowed, "N-No husband."

His footsteps echoed in the hall as his voice teased, "You should be, I could easily feed you to my pets and be done with it, wife."

Y/N blinked rapidly as tears welled up in her eyes, "I believe that would not be in your best interest."

She hadn't even realized they made it inside his bedroom until he tossed her onto a bed, she was surprised by the softness of the bed and the coolness of the sheets.

Feyd smirked at her as he stared down at her before climbing over her, a cold knife slid up against her cheek as she stared into his eyes.

"And why is that, my na-Baroness?"

"Are your pets worthy enough of bearing you a strong heir?"

He slid the knife down until it nicked her skin, a hiss of pain escaped her lips as Feyd stared at her.

"What makes you believe that you can carry my heir, hm?"

His thumb pressed on the cut, making the blood from the cut come out more before he brought his thumb to his mouth, licking it off.

"You'll have to find out", she responded back.

Feyd smirked before crashing his lips on her, her eyes closed as a heat came up on her face as the hunger his kiss conveyed consumed her and she fisted his clothes as he dominated the kiss. She tried her best to kiss back before Feyd pulled away, a thin strand of saliva connecting their mouths as Y/N panted.

"Your brother was right in his bragging, you truly have never had a man."

Feyd seemed proud in his statement as he used the knife to rip the bodice of her dress, exposing her breasts to him and he seemed pleased at their appearance as he brought his mouth down one of her buds, sucking on it harshly and sliding the knife over the other. A BRIEF COLLECTION OF POETRY: Dune

A/N: I hope you'll enjoy a few poems concerning the world of Dune

In the sands of Arrakis, where spice is found, A duke arrived, his fate unbound. Leto Atreides, a man of great might, To govern Dune, and its harsh plight.

With his lady by his side, And his heir, a source of pride. He faced the desert and the foe, To establish his rule, he fought toe to toe.

But treachery was in the air, And a betrayal was waiting there. For his allies turned against him, And his dreams were left dim.

Despite his valor, he fell in a trap, And his legacy was left to wrap. But Leto Atreides, a man of renown, Will never fade, he will always wear the crown.

Upon Arrakis, sands doth reign, Where Duke Leto seeks to gain. A world to hold, a dream to chase, But lurking in the shadows, an evil base.

The Baron Harkonnen, a name of dread, A cruel ruler with darkness fed. In league with the Emperor's plot, To bring the Atreides down and their dream to rot.

The Duke arrives with noble intent, A new beginning, a life well spent. But in his heart he knows the risk, Betrayal and death, a fate to whisk.

Villain Rise Mikey Thoughts: Part One

i have already written so much for this one, this is part one of my storyline for a villain mikey au !! i genuinely just spewed thoughts out here, i will continue with a part two eventually <3

i'm making up my own villain mikey as i go because i am craving.

the abandoned at birth trope is a little overdone imo, i love it when i read it for the other turtles but mikey deserves something unique

he felt a little different compared to his brothers, not because he was the youngest... he just felt different.

three year old mikey genuinely didn't want to hurt his brothers, not after he practically launched raph at high speeds toward a wall trying to get a jupiter jim toy out of his hand.

he ran away after that, guilt eating at him for some time until he forgot, then he found the hidden city.

he finds baron draxum and realises he's his other dad, which made the screws already loose in his head rattle a little bit.

draxum trains mikey in the mystic arts safely so that he doesn't hurt himself, which was very loving and tender on his part.

mikey deserved an attentive father, that was something draxum realised when mikey told him what he could remember about splinter.

even though mikey was raised in a decent environment, draxum still wanted to destroy the human race and that warped mikey's thoughts and actions a little bit.

this especially affected his views on getting what he wanted whenever he did, he definitely is a youngest child at heart.

he would start being a delinquent in the hidden city, running away from the police if they caught him loitering or tagging places.

then he moved on to stealing.

coins, unicorns, jewellery, mystic trinkets, you name it.

he used his mystic portals to steal and hoard like a dragon.

while draxum was proud, he created mikey for something bigger than petty thievery, mikey was destined for something greater.

draxum told eleven year old mikey about going back topside, and he did just that, enduring homelessness for a brief period of time before getting a small apartment from all the money he pickpocketed in the financial district of manhattan.

he hated being among humans, seeing their lives as minuscule and pointless– but he never let it show, he always had the mask of a sweetheart.

he witnessed his first murder and for the first time in a while, he wasn't bored.

mikey wondered about upping the ante to his criminal lifestyle, he was growing bored of stealing and he completed his father's training, what kind of human could defend against him ?

he only started with nobodies, people who would be forgotten within a week.

it got his blood pumping, adrenaline coursing through his veins. he liked it.

but killing "undesirables" meant little to no money, and mikey has to pay rent. he lives in the bronx after all.

villain mikey likes the thrill of the hunt, he started hunting down drunk people after they leave the bar, sometimes even sober ones just getting off a late shift at work.

it was when he crossed paths with yokai capturing humans that he found interest in keeping one as a pet.

he moves to brooklyn at thirteen to go back to tagging graffiti, sometimes in the oddest of places.

that was around the time his brothers interrupted draxum's experiment and released the oozequitos to new york.

he captured a large sum of oozequitos to give back to his dad, but there were still others that decided to breed and persist.

mikey has no real motive for what he's doing, he's doing what his father asked of him and he wants to appease him, but he regularly has his doubts.

then when draxum teams up with the foot clan, that's when he really questions his dad, if the dark armour is worth all the risks he's taking.

mikey meets big mama and realises she's behind the human trafficking, then asks her if he could have a pet human of his own.

she scoffs and tells him to capture one himself, no kin of draxum should get meddled with her business (after all that happened with the other turtles, if mikey's the one with draxum she's not taking any chances for a temper tantrum)

even though villain mikey's a spoiled brat, he also recognises that if he wants a job done right, he has to do it himself.

mikey moves back to the hidden city to nurse draxum back to health after the dark armour drained his life force.

he finally comes across his brothers again and thinks they're amateur idiots.

he's a bit of a bastard, ignoring his brothers and continuing to do what he does for fun (graffiti, stealing, offing innocents).

a couple years pass and the krang invasion happens.

he put aside his differences with his brothers just for this, he still cares because these are the turtles he was created with, even though their dad is kind of whack compared to draxum (mikey really does love his dad).

mikey suddenly unlocks his ninpo and he's the greatest mystic warrior of his timeline, junior finds it weird he's not with his brothers.

leo explains to junior mikey's not one of them despite his assistance, he's not family.

even though mikey physically turned out fine post-krang, it sickened him seeing his brothers losing to some pesky alien creatures.

the way the krang biomatter clung onto raph, leo, and donnie pissed him off.

it unlocked something wrathful and hideous within him, wiping out the krang and sending their tech back to the prison dimension.

it was a miracle when his three brothers snapped out of their krang possession and they snapped him out of the mystic altered state he was in, golden-eyed and chains lifting the technodrome back into the prison dimension.

even though villain mikey is a lot more skilled in his mystic abilities from years of training under draxum, it took a lot out of him to make a portal that big.

he passed out and his brothers, casey, april, and splinter were beside him when he woke up, but he was so annoyed.

he didn't want to wake up to these assholes.

mikey could barely walk, but floating out meant overexerting himself, so pushing everyone out of the way to get back to draxum it is.

post-krang, he suffers a lot of paranoia and anxiety, almost too much to the point where he chains up draxum when accidentally going into the mystic state.

draxum tells him to go to the market, get some herbs to calm down.

he accidentally comes across a dispensary in the market, getting a few strains and asking if he could have it in the form of tea, since he sees a few yokai smoking the herbs.

he's told he could bake them, that's when he gets interested in baking.

Was thinking about Irene's relationship with power, went looking for these quotes and was a little surprised: I had forgotten they're literally in the same chapter, that is, Vol I chapter 5. First this:

“[Sophos] let a traitor play on his weakness, and the result of his mercy is that he is asked for even more mercy.” She finally began to work at the pins in her complicated braids, pulling them too hard, catching a few hairs with each pin and pulling anyway. “Nomenus has petitioned to be pardoned.” “Many of Sophos’s barons did worse and suffered not at all.” Eugenides crossed the room to stand behind her. Meeting his gaze in the mirror, Attolia glared. “We are kings and queens, not all-powerful gods. We cannot reward the good men and punish the bad ones just as we would prefer."

Then just a couple of pages later:

The king swung to face the queen, looked down again at his hand held to his chest. “It hurts,” he said. His voice breaking. “Serves you right,” said the queen, every word as cold as ice. “Serves me right?” said the king. Incredulous as well as angry, he said, “Serves me right?” “You dare,” said Attolia, rising to her feet like a thundercloud. “You dare impugn me.” “He was kissing you!” “He was insulting me!” “You told them to shut the doors!” the king shouted. They stood facing each other. “Why? Why?” wailed the king, until Attolia gritted her teeth and gave the answer that should have been obvious. “If I cannot kill the Pent ambassador, then neither will you.”

There's a lot these passages make me think of, besides the obvious point of the limits of power. For exemple: In her own POV passages in book 2, Irene obsessively mirrored herself in Helen; it's really great here to see her start to compare herself, as a monarch, against Sophos and Gen.

It also makes me think of gender in this book; I like how it is always so present even when it isn't... It's clear Gen and Irene both change in order to fulfill a role never meant for them, or someone like them. But they don't just change themselves, they also change the role itself in order to better fit them. All that eventually takes its toll, and it means neither is free to do as they wish.

For Gen, this compromise means a loss of freedom, but for Irene it means a gain of freedom. Being a man and a woman of the same social status, they're nonetheless coming from opposite circumstances. I think about this a lot whenever Gen's nuptial proposal of running away comes up in fandom discussions; I literally cannot imagine Irene ever accepting, or having something like that as a dream of her own... For Gen, a common married life means the loss of his social status as kin to Eddis, but he's still his own master. For Irene, a common married life means not just the loss of her social status, but the loss of any power she has managed to ever hold in the singular position of queen. A man might just be a guy, but a woman has an owner -- be it her father, her husband or her slaveowner. Irene is acutely aware of how, in some specific circumstances, there might be little difference between those.

On a tangent, I think it's very interesting that the narrative later proves Irene right in the matter of Ion Nomenus's character, but leaves judgement open as to whether it would have been better to execute him or not. He's so minor, you get the feeling it wouldn't have changed anything in the development of the war, or the story. Pardoning him or not really just ends up feeling like a matter of personal judgement. For Sophos, would killing him be justice, vengeance, or a message to other potential traitors?

Irene's mercy and cruelty are always very calculated for effect, but she vocally regrets things she feels she has to do, and things she feels she cannot do; she has a strong sense of justice, and of survival. It's all very muddled together, though: her impersonal justice, her personal vengeance, and the theatrical excesses for the sake of sending a message. For her, as it often is, killing Ion Nomenus would be all three.

Jaune felt his body ache as he stood before his teammates.. but they weren't truly his friends, they were 6ft because this damn war, and now Grimm took a twisted appearance of them.

Jaune panted heavily, his breath shallow as he readied crocea mors with his legs shaking, his body was barely holding on, it was pleading, begging, SCREAMING, for him just to stop but he couldn't, not while his friends needed him. He had to hold on, just a little bit longer.

Jaune then charged at the Grimm that took rens appearance as he swung forward at it with the monster blocking with its sword arms. Then it round house kicked him before the Grimm that Pyrrha's appearance stabbed him through the side with its spear arm as jaune screamed in pain before being met with the head of a hammer as Nora knocked him back with jaune being sent flying before skidding across the ground as he soon landed with a THUMP as he groaned in pain clutching his before removing one of his hands to see... His own blood covering his palm.

Jaune eyes went wide as he felt his body only ache more as he felt the trio encroaching on him.

This was it... After so long and being the only one left, this was how he was gonna die.. alone and as a failure.... But... Atleast Salem didn't have all the relics... The sword of destruction was still missing..

But as everything started to go cold... Crocea mors began to glow.

??: human...listen well. I am Barron-callibur... I have seen years of destruction and violence. I will not deny you death... But not like this.

Crocea Mors began to transform as the blade became longer, the hilt spiraled around itself, the handle became longer as for the shield? It turned to a... Belt buckle?

Jaune: what the-

Barron-callibur: just put on the buckle!

Jaune: ok, ok! Don't tell. Im putting it on, I'm putting it on.

He placed the buckle onto his belt as noticed two slots that were vacant before feeling something in his hand, it almost looked like a giant fist covering knuckle duster as the arc crest was emblazoned on it.

Jaune: hmm... I think I know where this is going.

He placed the strange item in the two slots as a satisfying click was heard as jaune then noticed a small bottle like item that had a Rabbit on it. Jaune grabbed it before placing the bottle in as we hear an announcement.

Baron Buckle: BOTTLE KIN! MORS BREAKER KNUCKLE!

Then everything went red for jaune before he found his arm changing is now covered his entire body as he saw tons of white rabbits running towards him before making impact with his armor as the enveloped it.

When jaune was back he found his armor was now pure white with trace amounts of red as he wore a more streamlined helmet as long rabbit ears emerged from it.

Barron buckle: MORS BREAKER! BREAK BREAK BREAK BREAK BREAK BREAK- BREAKER! YEAH!

Jaune couldn't understand why but he felt power surging through him as he felt rejuvenated. He prepared Barron-callibur as he was about to enter the fight of a life time.

Essential Avengers: Avengers #275: Even a God Can Die!

January, 1987

The Absorbing Man has gone toe to toe with Thor! Titania has held her own against the She-Hulk! And now Ant-Man and the Wasp are going to stop them?!?

Aw man, I would be so buy this issue if I saw it at the newsstand.

The image of Ant-Man and Wasp being the last line against the Masters of Evil, every other Avenger fallen and captured. The cover copy stressing what a mismatch this is.

Good stuff!

Also, I think the title is a reference to the ‘even an android can cry’ thing. Weird!

Also also, this is the first Avengers of the year 1987! The year ended with Avengers Mansion being captured, the team almost all captured, and Hercules beaten to apparent death!

Imagine waiting a month to follow up on that. Imagine waiting two weeks. Isn’t one week a much better idea?

The pretty much covers the last time recap. The Masters of Evil have finally enacted Zemo’s fiendish plot and everything seems to be going great for them and terrible for the Avengers.

Ten blocks around Avengers Mansion has been placed under martial law and a detachment of Army Rangers has been dispatched to guard the area and evacuate civilians.

While an ambulance took Hercules to the hospital with Wasp towing along, one of the Masters of Evil has left the Mansion and escaped despite the Army Rangers.

The specific Master of Evil was Tiger Shark. Zemo sent him on his way because the Masters of Evil don’t need him anymore and also because a villain leaving the area kicks up useful confusion.

He’s going to wind up in California and deal with the West Coast Avengers. I peeked ahead. But I don’t know if he was on Masters of Evil business or his own business with that.

Seems from this issue, Zemo is just done with Tiger Shark.

Probably for the best (for Zemo) because he does not need another fighty boy stirring up shit.

Speaking of fighty boys, the Wrecking Crew is still, true to their name, tearing the Mansion apart. Specifically, they’re tearing into the walls of Tony Stark’s labs, believing that there could be treasure in the walls.

Weird but hey that's villain enrichment.

Meanwhile, at the hospital even a god can die.

Especially if his skin keeps being too tough to get needles into.

A hospital guy shuffles Wasp out of the operating room to ask her some information for hospital records. Stuff like full name and next-of-kin.

Wasp only knows him as Hercules because I guess he didn’t want to brag by revealing that he goes by Hercules Panhellenios.

(I’m only a filthy casual in regards to mythology but I think Panhellenios means Hercules was worshiped throughout all of Greece and not just in specific spots. It’s more a title than a name but he doesn’t have a patronym or family name so the closest he gets to a “full name” is “I am the Hercules of all of Greece”)

The next-of-kin thing Wasp does know because of all the family drama Hercules had during his first stint with the Avengers. But writing Zeus down as next-of-kin on a hospital form doesn’t help because as Ant-Man points out, Zeus doesn’t have a phone number to put down.

Also, Ant-Man is here now.

Just chilling out tiny size by Wasp’s foot.

He heard on the radio that some bonkers nuts stuff was going on and decided to swing by to lend a hand.

... I like Scott Lang. He’s a good egg.

Wasp... uh, reflexively doesn’t. As much as I do. Because she sees Scott Lang, Ant-Man in the Ant-Man outfit and it just reminds her of Hank.

She’s so discombobulated that she calls him Scott in public, which Scott asks her not to do because secret ID, come on. Luckily, hospital guy booked it once Ant-Man unshrunk so nobody heard.

Scott-Man asks how he can help but Wasp is feeling the despair of this darkest hour and tells him that the Avengers might be beyond any help!

Wasp: “Baron Zemo’s Masters of Evil have taken over Avengers Mansion. They’ve beaten Hercules nearly to death -- and they’ve done... something... to Captain Marvel. What, I don’t know, but there’s no trace of her. Captain America, the Black Knight, and our butler Jarvis have all been captured. God only knows what’s happening to them.”

Bummer.

Speaking of Baron Zemo, back at the Mansion, Baron Zemo continues to love to hear himself talk to captive audience.

Baron Zemo: “For too long, society has simple-mindedly embraced the words and deeds of an elite corps of so-called super heroes. I, Baron Helmut Zemo, today declare that era to be over! My allies and I -- branded evil by an unthinking world -- have brought the self-styled Avengers to their knees.”

Are you really going to do this ‘oh society called us evil’ thing? Your dad was a super nazi. And he called his group the Masters of Evil unironically!

You’re not going to get away with trying to pull a Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and say that the evil in the name is some kind of political point.

Then again, Zemo is having Fixer film this so I shouldn’t bother cross-examining his stated motives when he is probably playing for the camera.

Anyway, Cap tells Zemo to let Black Knight and Jarvis go and get medical attention. After all, isn’t Cap the one Zemo really wants? Arch-nemesis privilege, right?

Zemo clarifies yes but no. Cap is the one Zemo wants. But hurting his friends hurts him so he’s going to make Cap watch them die.

Then he hauls off and slaps Jarvis to prove his point.

Cannot believe this Nazi or Nazi-adjacent guy is such a jerk.

Captain America: “You can’t beat the Avengers this way, Zemo. Despite all you’ve done, the Wasp is still alive and free. I know that woman... she’ll organize a whole new team of Avengers if she has to! You won’t be able to run far enough to escape her.”

Now there’s a What If? premise. What if the captured Avengers and whatnot all died and Wasp put together an Avenging Avengers roster.

Annoyed, Zemo tells Fixer to edit Cap(tain America)’s defiance out of the tape they’re going to send the media.

Cap then asks Zemo how the hell he’s alive, by the way.

Captain America: “I thought you’d been killed by the Red Skull’s daughter.”

Baron Zemo: “Obviously, I was not.”

Captain America: “Obviously. How’d you manage to survive?”

Baron Zemo: “That, you shall never know!”

Except Fixer immediately asks too and you get the sense Baron Zemo wants to tell someone because he hisses at Fixer to lower his voice, pulls him out of earshot of Cap and exposits his How He’s Alive story.

Short story: destiny.

Longer story: Apparently when Red Skull’s Daughter ‘killed’ Baron Zemo by using her PSYCHIC POWERS to give him a fatal cerebral hemorrhage, that didn’t actually happen.

His metal headband deflected some of the attack because that’s how psychic powers work. They’re deflected by metal, clearly. That’s why tinfoil hats are the best defense.

Has that ever come up in X-Men? I know Magneto’s helmet is specially made to be anti-psychic but could you get the same result from a tinfoil hat?

Y’know what, I really wish that were the case. Psychics have it too good.

Anyway, point being, Zemo survived and fled the scene before the Avengers showed up to save Captain America.

AND THIS ISN’T JUST STUFFING IN EXPOSITION WHERE IT CAN FIT! This is relevant!

Baron Zemo: “As I fled, I thought of how the Avengers had become like a family to Captain America. I remembered the countless defeats my late father had suffered at Captain America’s hand... and how those defeats drove him mad and tore our family apart. I knew then that I had to devise a way to destroy Captain America’s family... to destroy the Avengers!”

Which brings him to a change in strategy.

When Absorbing Man and Titania call in to report that Spider-Man prevented them from picking up a new recruit for the Masters of Evil (this late into their campaign? Wow) Zemo gives them another assignment instead of having them return to the Mansion.

Since Captain America has such faith that Wasp will pull through somehow, Zemo will just have to crush that hope.

He sends the supervillainy’s best couple to Newhope Memorial Hospital to make sure Wasp dies and might as well finish off Hercules while you’re there.

Meanwhile, hey I bet you’re wondering what’s become of Captain Marvel, right?

Me too. Good thing the scene change scene changes to her!

Weird scene though.

Captain Marvel: This... is just totally weird. I’ve been shanghaied across space to the Andromeda Galaxy, and stuck in Immortus’s realm of Limbo... but I’ve never experienced anything like this!”

After Blackout disappeared her to the cornfield, so to speak, she found herself in a realm of complete yet swirling darkness and numbing cold. Where the only light comes from Captain Marvel’s powers.

But then...

Captain Monica spots a light in the distance and any light that’s not her is notable and probably the way out!

She rushes to it (at light speed, mind you!) but just as she reaches it, it disappears.

Monica explodes in frustration and rage, blazing as bright as a star, but subsides after a moment still as trapped as she was.

I wonder if it was a mirage type thing. Like a rainbow.

Actually, what I really wonder is if its Dagger of Cloak and Dagger fame. The darkforce dimension is the source of Cloak’s powers too and he sometimes needs Dagger to shoot light at him to keep from going cray cray.

I don’t actually know if that’s how it works but Monica popping out of Cloak being how she escapes is an amazing visual. I hope they go with that.

Pander to me, comic that is decades already printed.

Back at the hospital, Wasp is having despair still.

Not helped that Newhope Memorial is where Wasp was taken when she almost died the first time the Avengers fought Count Nefaria.

Wasp: “That was the closest I’d ever come to dying, and it put a real scare into me. I even went so far as to suggest that the Avengers disband. Funny, isn’t it? After all this time, I’ve finally caused the end of the Avengers.”

Ant-Man: “Jan, don’t do this to yourself. No matter what’s happened, it can’t be over yet... And you’re not responsible...!”

Wasp: “Don’t hand me that! I’m Avengers chairwoman -- I know -- I’m responsible! When terrorists like Zemo can take over the Mansion, it’s because my security procedures weren’t good enough. When Avengers are hurt because I can’t get them to follow my orders, I’m at fault!”

"The buck stops here.”

I mean, that’s the responsibility of leadership. Although it’s not really productive a line of thought. It’s dwelling. But she’s been left a lot of time to dwell and not a lot that she can do to distract from dwelling. She’s got squatters rights in her own brain.

Also, this:

Aw.

Wasp tells Scott its all over for the Avengers. He tries to convince her that she can’t give up but... Before Cap got cap-tured, she and he tried to contact the reserve Avengers and no one answered.

Wasp is the Last Avenger.

So at this point, she’s done. She asks Scott to call the Fantastic Four because the Avengers are over.

(She’s going to be disappointed when she hears they’re way, way out of town.)

She asks the doctor if she can have some alone time with the very, really dead Hercules.

Wasp: Oh, Hercules... I knew you resented taking orders from me, but I never thought that would lead to this! If only Cap had been in command, maybe you’d have listened to him. Maybe you wouldn’t have gone charging into the Mansion. And maybe you’d still be alive. Why did have to end this way?

I really hope this is more darkest moment of despair dwelling and that the story doesn’t land on the moral that Wasp shouldn’t have been leader and she’s to blame for Hercules being sexist.

I’m fairly certain it won’t but I worry.

Oh, and Hercules isn’t dead.

While she’s regretting everything over his apparently not-corpse, the heartbeat machine goes BDEEP.

Wasp calls the doctors in and they do some further medical science and determine the Weird but True Olympian Science Fact that in his weakened state, Hercules’ heart is only beating once every ten minutes!

Divine anatomy is weeeird!

But the takeaway is that he’s not dead and the doctors think there’s a chance Hercules can be brought out of his coma.

And that hope is all that Wasp needs to bring her out of her funk.

When Scott-Man tells her that the Fantastic Four are too busy on a secret mission and can’t answer the phone, Wasp tells him it’s okay because HOPE.

Which is why Wasp names her eventual daughter- No, that’s just a wacky coincidence.

Anyway, there’s been a pending plot development waiting to spring and now that Wasp has her hope back is as good a time as any.

The hospital suddenly rocks, as if hit by an earthquake.

Absorbing Man and Titania have arrived to finish off Hercules and murder Wasp a little.

The police around the hospital try to stop them but c’mon, when have the police ever stopped a supervillain.

Doesn’t help that since Titania and Absorbing Man have been out of circulation for a while, the police don’t recognize them.

Shooting Absorbing Man with bullets from a gun just makes him stronger because instead of being shot and dying of it, he absorbs the properties of the bullet metal.

Wasp and Ant-Man peek around a corner as the supervillains enter the hospital and realize ‘oh shit’

Wasp: “That’s Titania! She’s nearly as strong as the She-Hulk!”

Ant-Man: “Then we’ve really got trouble! The Absorbing Man’s bounced Thor around! We have as much chance of stopping those two as Spielberg had of winning an Oscar!”

Wasp: “Scott, if not us, then who?”

That’s a fun timestamp of when this issue came out.

And maybe foreshadows the eventual hero victory when you know that Spielberg eventually did win an Academy Oscar for Schindler’s List. I don’t think Wasp and Ant-Man can wait until 1994 though.

They’ll just have to win anyway despite the improbability and not having the backing of a popular director.

Back at the Mansion, Zemo turns on the news to the attack on the hospital and gloats “Still think the Wasp will stop us, Captain?”

When Cap(tain America) holds onto hope, Zemo decides to try harder to break his spirit.

Since the hospital attack is still in progress, he’ll just have to try other things. Try breaking other things.

Zemo tries ripping up a picture of Bucky from Cap’s footlocker and having Hyde smoosh Cap’s original series but rather than his spirit breaking, Steve regards it with stone-faced stoicism.

Captain America: “I’ll remember this, Zemo.”

Baron Zemo: Will nothing break his spirit?

Zemo decides enough of stuff. Time to make Cap watch as Hyde tortures Jarvis in front of him.

Which Hyde has been waiting for.

Mister Hyde: “I have awaited this moment for a long time, Captain. Twice before, you thwarted my operations... but no more! Zemo has the right idea. I am going to slay you... But your friends shall die first!”

Mister Hyde: “Louder, old fool! I want the Captain to hear your pain!”

Hurting Jarvis? You fiend!

May a bad end come to you!

Dropped off the helicarrier by draculas is what I wish of you!

Black Knight finally regains consciousness. I guess his ass must have been whupped hard because the villains have been impatiently waiting for him to wake up while he’s just been snoozing away concussed.

Anyway, he awakens to Hyde beating the shit out of Jarvis. Obviously, he tries to summon his incredibly cursed Ebony Blade to bust out of his bonds and deal with that scoundrel Hyde!

But the Ebony Blade does not budge from where the Masters are holding it. Because the Fixer has it in an energy field to study it and Cap’s shield.

Man.

They introduce the concept that Dane can just summon his sword to his side and it’s come in handy all of one times. One time that it COULD have been useful, Dane just didn’t try. And now when he does try, it doesn’t work.

You’d think that a super cursed sword would be able to wiggle out of an energy field by teleporting but you’d think wrong.

But Dane’s failure is our scene transition.

Baron Zemo and Yellowjacket come to where the Fixer is studying the super cursed Ebony Blade and Cap’s mighty shield and tells him to do science on his own time.

Baron Zemo: “The Avengers’ main computer has resisted Yellowjacket’s best efforts to circumvent its security codes. That computer’s data is invaluable, but we have little time left to waste. It will take some effort to quash the forces which surround the Mansion. I’ll allow them time to muster additional troops. You will assist Yellowjacket in removing the computer’s memory circuits for later study.”

Yellowjacket II is less than pleased with this new partner.

This tension between her and the Fixer has come up before so I imagine it will be a Thing.

Uh, not the Ben Grimm the Thing. He’s out of town. I mean more like an important plot point. I expect at some point Yellowjacket 2.0′s dislike of the Fixer will be plot relevant.

Also, though. The computers. Good on the Avengers for having better data security than front door security.

But with the emphasis on how important the computers are, I’m starting to suspect that Zemo’s plans involve a little more than just wiping out the Avengers and whichever other superhero teams he thinks he can beat up.

This is cheating with future knowledge but when he was pretending to be the Thunderbolts later, he also really wanted computer access. But to the Fantastic Four’s computers.

He has a bigger game and even despite the Avengers losing their government privileges and such, their computers must hide the key to that bigger game.

... What is this, Mega Man Battle Network? World domination easter eggs hidden on random computers?

Anyway, wasn’t the main plot at a hospital why yes it was.

Absorbing Man and Titania are tearing their way through Newhope Memorial Hospital looking for the Avengers.

Rather than lie low, Wasp decides to just go right up to Absorbing Man. And blast him in the eyeballs.

And when Absorbing Man drops his maybe lead form, Ant-Man hits him with a growing uppercut.

I don’t know if that’s just a modern thing or not but according to shrink physics, a growing uppercut lets you get a lot more momentum into it.

Titania tries to tackle Ant-Man but he shrinks back down and she ends up smacking into the wall face first.

Which probably doesn’t hurt her that much except in the pride.

Absorbing Man rips some wires out of a junction box and becomes an electrical man.

Ant-Man and Wasp have to run from him because how do you punch electricity?

Titania punches through a wall (probably the same wall she just dented with her head) and finds the critical condition Hercules.

But before she can finish him off, Ant-Man enacts his ant-plan of covering her with ants.

Some people complain that this fight shouldn’t go the way its going and will go because Wasp and Ant-Man aren’t strong enough to fight heavy hitters like Absorbing Man and Wasp. But my rebuttal is ant-powers are really cool and I’m tired of people pretending they’re not. Also, Wasp is really cool.

Titania panics as she’s swarmed by ants and calls for Absorbing Man to help her.

I guess that makes sense. If you’re superstrong but not Hulk shockwave clap strong, then you’re no better equipped at dealing with ants than anyone else.

I don’t know if the ants can actually pierce her superstrong skin but lets say maybe. Possible. Ants know what they’re doing.

For all his other many faults, it can’t be said that Absorbing Man isn’t a caring partner. So he turns into some convenient nearby alcohol and washes the ants off of Titania.

Those brave ants are probably all dead. But Ant-Man media usually doesn’t like to talk about that.

Wasp notices that Absorbing Creel has trouble with a liquid form so she and Ant-Man blast him while he’s trying to turn back to a meat human.

Yeah, apparently Scott has a disruptor blast built into his Ant-Helmet now. Forehead laser.

An ant-free Titania is big mad about Wasp and guest star Ant-Man hurting her man and manages to snag Wasp right out of the air.

Since Ant-Man feels responsible for distracting Wasp with his cool new helmet laser, he moves to save her by smashing one of his gas canisters on Titania’s face.

I do not know when innate Pym Particles became The Thing (uh, still not the Ben Grimm the Thing) but Scott’s suit still has the shrinking gas. And he just broke a canister all over Titania who is suddenly more lilliputian than titanic.

Wasp takes advantage of Titania’s surprise at being even shorter than three apples tall to blast her through the wall.

Despite being blasted right when he stopped being alcohol, Absorbing Man is still up, but shaky. He tries to absorb Hercules, to gain the power of a Hercules, but Wasp suddenly drops on his shoulders and flies away with him.

I didn’t know she could do that.

While on his shoulders, she does a full-size sting to both sides of his head, this time not pulling her punch as much.

(Good thing he’s already in a hospital.)

Finally, Absorbing Man goes down.

I say finally but Wasp and Ant-Man only started fighting these two on page 19 out of 23. Those days of compressed storytelling. You really could get a decent fight out of not even half an issue, rather than bloating several issues with action pose action pose SPLASH PAGE.

It does its job well enough establishing that Absorbing Man and Titania punch much tougher jokers than Wasp and Ant-Man. On paper, they would win. But then on this comic book paper, Ant-Man and Wasp fight them anyway, relying instead on the trickier bits of their movesets.

Which is likely to be a big deciding factor in the bigger fight as well.

Zemo has his crew stuffed with big beefy guys and his opening shots hit hard and fast and nearly took down the Avengers before they really knew what was going on.

But like Captain America warned Zemo, underestimating Wasp because she’s not ‘powerful’ is a dumb stupid mistake for idiot babies.

Wasp has gone through the darkest hour of despair and found hope. She triumphed over what was intended to be the knockout blow.

And now it’s time for Wasp to make some moves.

I’m decently excited about this story arc.

There hasn’t been letters pages included on unlimited for a while but I’d like to think that the readers of the time were decently excited too.

A low, rasping sound escapes the Baron as he stands in the dying sunlight.

Darkness was gathering around the Tangled Shore, and despite everything, Fikrul felt..scared. It had been a very long time since the Dark Archon had felt true fear, even when his family had been ripped from him he had not felt true fear.

But this? This was different.

Fikrul’s hands grip his staff anxiously, claws digging into the metal and wood as he steps towards the edge of the shattered terrain. Looking up, he could see them. He could see the pyramids just in sight. He takes a deep breath, turning his back on them.

The Crow pauses, looking up at Fikrul, a mixture of pity and fear bubbling up in the pit of his stomach. For a moment, just a fraction of a moment he considered pushing the Archon off the edge. It would be an easy way out. An easy way to end it all.

But how could he? That would be horrible. Uldren had created Fikrul and the Scorn, and it was up to Crow to redeem them, just as he had been redeemed. His hand reaches out, grasping the Baron’s arm gently. “Come on, we can’t wait anymore.”

With reluctance, Fikrul turns towards the remaining crates next to the jumpship, and those ether blue eyes well with tears. “I do not wish to leave my home. To leave my family.” His hand grasps the emblem of the Scorn, hanging from his staff. “I feel as if I am abandoning them.”

Crow’s hand squeeze’s the muscled arm gently, reassuring him silently as he contemplates what to say.

“I know. I’m sorry, Fikrul. I’d take them with us if I could, I-“ He pauses then, his eyes falling on a group of Hive, rapidly approaching. Crow’s hand falls to the pistol at his side, though he notices the lack of weapons fairly quickly.

He takes a breath, holding up a hand to Fikrul, as the Baron had been readying for an attack. “Hang on. They don’t have any weapons.”

Fikrul’s voice rumbles, and his own hand falls on Crow’s shoulder. “It is the Hive. They are full of trickery and hate. We should not trust them.”

A Knight led the procession, and to Crow’s own surprise, a Ghost hovered cautiously by the Knight’s shoulder. The Hunter felt Glint shift in his bag, though the Ghost didn’t yet speak.

Shasur-Tor kneels before the two, head bowed slightly. Behind him, several acolytes follows suit, and a smaller wizard, though the thralls do not, each of them exchanging glances and hissing at each other. An ogre lumbers after them, attempting to catch up.

Crow coughs, glancing at Fikrul, before stepping forward. “Uh, hello? Can I help you?”

The Knight’s face raises to meet Crow’s those piercing teal eyes taking in the Awoken’s familiar face. His chitinous head turns to his Ghost, listening to it speak before turning back to Crow, and answering in surprisingly fluent Eliksni.

“We come seeking the Archon’s help. Hiraks is dead, and as is our Brood Mother. We are all that remain here.” Fikrul’s eyes widen at the mention of his old friend, and he steps forward to stand beside of Crow.

“You are all that remains of his brood?”

The Knight nods, turning to face the Baron. “We are. Most of our kin have been eradicated by the Guardians and the Awoken.” A nasty look was cast at Crow, but the Knight continued. “I am Shasur-Tor, Son of In-Anâhn. We ask for your help in escaping this place. The Shore is dying. We do not wish to die with it.”

For a moment, Fikrul felt his heart shatter. He wanted nothing more then to protect what remained of his family, even these remnants. His hand falls on Crow’s shoulder, and he says a quick word of pardon before pulling him a small ways away.

“Crow. I know you are not who you were but I ask of you, no, I beg you, please let them come. I could not live with myself if some form of Hiraks were condemned to rot here as I was before you came.”

The Crow chews on his lip for a long moment before ever volunteering an answer. He had no love for the Hive, but he couldn’t, in good consciousness, leave them here either

An hour later, the jumpship finally broke orbit of the Tangled Shore, setting course for Europa.

And Fikrul was content, that he had not abandoned everyone, he had saved something. And that is what mattered.

As a rottmnt superfan, I think it's very shameful I have not actually watched the full series. I have been trying to get myself to watch all of it for literal months, and I will finally start now.

To keep my motivation to actually watch my favorite show (wow) I will be writing down little things I like/notice/one sentence summary of each episode.

Plus I want to do the AU with the events of the show but a "little to the left" including the missing sisters, Mikey getting his deleted episodes back, ideas that couldn't be used because the show was cancelled, fandom ideas, etc. etc.

AND this is also doubling as info from each episode, so that way I don't forget anything important.

(Like I forgot Heuso existed. Who does that?)

To start -

Leo seems very unsure of himself/ is scrambling in the intro. Compared to the rest of the turtles, he seems the least sure of himself. Even the lyrics say "Leo's making a scene" while everyone else has a definite positive word associated with their character. In fact, "making a scene" definitely has the connotation of a bad thing.

Leo's insecurities are so strong that even the show agrees lol.

(I'll just keep editing this into one really long post, and also, I need obvious stuff to be stated to me, so I'll write it down anyways.

Okie, Donnie's first words in the show are him using his science to support his brothers and be overdramatic.

April helps them all with shenanigans using her connections with all the jobs she has, and is in no way the 'responsible older sibling'

Even Raph (at least in the beginning of the series) is not that responsible in the grand scheme of things.

Also also, I want to slow down the show so I can catch every single detail, every single expression, but that would make this take too long. So I'll miss expressions they make... sad.

Donnie has tech in his shell for when April needs a ride, meaning that, again, he is constantly making tech to help others, along with his own interests.

(Also the way he flies? So overdramatic princess-y. I love him. And I can't take screenshots for some reason. Sadness. )

Also, does Mayhem have a scar on his forehead? It looks like a scar.

And Raph saying 'Aw' and wanting to save him. The precious bean. <3

Mayhem immediately goes for April out of everyone there. My headcannon is that he was sent specifically to watch the turtles and make sure Baron Draxum's experiments don't cause any havoc, so he is wary of all of them.

Also also also... the 'brushes' for the line art of the show? I'm obsessed.

They do have rehearsals for 'if they come in contact with humans'. So.... do they worry about that? Also, Donnie never goes to them. I can relate. Things I find unnecessary that I take away from my 'writing time' are things I try to avoid at all costs.

And I wish something that was cemented more in my head from the show is that the turtles constantly went on adventures with April, even before finding out about the hidden city, perhaps they wanted to be like Lou Jitsu, and I also wish there were more adventures in the hidden city afterwards.

Donnie screaming 'Fibonacci' or just being happy and showing off his tech makes me so sparkly inside.

(I'm not even five minutes into the first episode.... this might take awhile)

Donnie's tech does not work, he tries but it does not work a ton. Which I love. Our favorite/ special things not working, or just not being that great is something I relate to a lot/ want to see more in media. It's the thing we base our lives on. It HAS to be good. Otherwise, what's the point of our existence?

Yes... I kin Donnie.

Leo is incredibly fast, even from the beginning, especially for a turtle

All of Donnie's lines are immediately iconic in my brain

Leo has murderous intent/his eye glows red for a moment. I saw a comment once that the turtles WERE created to be killing machines, and those instincts may or may not still be there. IDK, it would be fun to see Baron Draxum's original intents placed upon the turtles. Although... in my rise sisters AU.... oh I could do that.

They all try so hard to live out their fantasy, adventure, Lou Jitsu dreams. Little beans. <3

Mayhem is an agent and he is carrying a vial. Vial for what?

Mikey is the most artistic and the most mystically inclined. He notices the sign on the wall and where's he's seen it before. My artist sibling also tends to see things as they are/ find un-findable things + predict the future.

We were robbed of Mikey content

Splinter has a cabinet full of memorabilia, and the weapons they all broke in the beginning were 'priceless'

My headcannon is that the brothers understand Japanese from watching Spilnter's shows, but can't speak it. (Yes I'm projecting my own second language skills)

Donnie again tries to make things better with his tech abilities, and Raph tries to make a good plan (because he's the leader, he should be able to make plans.) But Leo already completes the mission. So he can bask in the praise.

Because Leo notices things and can plan ahead, impromptu.

Raph is super anxious about doing things right.

Mikey again, uses his 'art/mystic intuition' to open the wall.

OHMIGOSH the Hidden City looks so cool. I really really (that's two really's) there were more Hidden City episodes.

When Donnie 'insults' his brothers. ('You guys are fools') He'll say something positive about it later. ("You beautiful fools') he's basically doing /pos all the time.

Donnie, upon finding the hidden city, says "Exactly what I expected." (At 11:37) Meaning that he is a cryptid theorist confirmed. He has theorized about the existence of mystic beings since before they found the hidden city.

(I will do another "Why Donnie dislikes mystic powers" later, because this gives me the notion that Donnie dislikes mystic powers the same way some physicists dislike quantum mechanics or the Copenhagen interpretation of it. It doesn't make sense. It contradicts and he can't figure it out, that wouldn't be an issue if it weren't for his brothers immediately getting it. In the AU, I would have an 'episode' where their mystic powers start making Donnie inconsequential. They already don't listen to him most of the time. And now his tech doesn't help anymore....

anywho that's for later, back to episode one!)

According to Donnie's calculations, they are in a 'Tertiary metaverse'.

A google search revealed nothing on that. But ..... DONNIE HAS CALCULATIONS FOR THESE SORTS OF THINGS, AAA-

And April has explored this hidden city beneath New York. I feel like, with Mikey, she's the most mystic-inclined. Something that other people in the fandom have pointed out.

Donnie loves Draxum's lab. Specifically, the color scheme and the style. These two would get along so well.

Draxum has captured Mayhem. Supports my headcannon that Mayhem was an agent specifically sent to watch Baron Draxum and his experiments, carry on.

I FORGOT ABOUT HUGGIN AND MUGGIN. WHAT.

They are precious.

Also also, humans do not care about the existence of mystic creatures apparently. I like that tbh, makes way for better storylines.

Mayhem stole a vial from Baron Draxum. Probably to bring as 'proof' to the three heads.

hhhmmmm.... Maybe Mayhem was sent to watch Baron Draxum and his experiments, and eventually the three heads council thought that the threat was neutralized. Baron Draxum rebuilt his lab, but hasn't done anything nefarious. And no turtle has been found for a long time. (Except for the one Big Mama has, but no one dares oppose her.)

But Mayhem found a vial of ooze, enough to convict Baron Draxum of crimes, but Draxum sent his assistants after him, retrieving the vial.

Draxum's color schemes do look cool.

He mutated a human in this episode.

The turtles ARE aware they are mutants.

I love the headcannon/unexplored plot thread that Splinter was a little afraid of what his sons were: mutations meant to be killing machines. Hence the "rehearsals".

April finds things. She's crafty, knows how to use her surroundings to her advantage.

Donnie has high grade titanium, how did he get high grade titanium?

(my headcannon is that he goes on 'shopping trips' with his siblings, mainly April, sometimes Mikey. And he steals things.)

DONNIE IS NOT AGAINST MAGIC IN THE FIRST EPISODE WAT.

He seems awed. At 14:41 he says "it's like mystic and science had a baby"

OKIE OKIE, here's my headcannon.

Originally Donnie was a science person (obviously) but he was like - "well there's no definite evidence that cryptids and magic AREN'T possible. I mean... black holes and quantum mechanics make no sense. Science does wild things sometimes, why can't these things exist? And you know what? I'm going to prove it!"

But then he actually SAW mystic powers and everyone else doing really well with it. Replacing him. And while his prior experiments with the crystal have led to good results in tandem with his goggles, but when he tries afterwards, it doesn't work. (Because mystic powers are based on emotions and he's frustrated.) That's weird. Science should lead to definite, predictable results.

So *character arc*

April is literally more athletic than the turtles. She keeps landing on her feet while everyone else is in a heap.

That's it. I'm a believer in April supremacy now.

Leo is scrambling. He may be good at impromptu plans, but he struggles at the application. My personal, maybe headcannon, is that he doesn't actually like going on some of these adventures. He's not that good at them, but he will support his brothers, because of his inferiority complex

DRAXUM CAN MAKE THESE HUGE MECHS AND THAT KIND OF MATCHES WITH MY LOUISE AU HOLY TRUFFLE MAC AND CHEESE.

Also also, Draxum has been trying this whole time to continue his work. I'm wondering how I can work my 'He's looking for Louise' storyline. Perhaps he needs mutants to eliminate the human threat and also to save his child warrior.

Mikey gets star eyes like his older sibling :D

Baron Draxum's magic is with his vines, mechs and potions. Like alchemy. Using this for Louise reference later.

Donnie has the Bi flag in the background of any of his scene things <3

His tech is constantly on the fritz in this episode. Mainly his tech bo. Maybe that's a newer piece? His battle shell seems to work fine. I think that may be one of his first pieces of tech, and the flying part looks like what would become Shelldon in the future.

AND, I think he gets better at making his tech in the future, while still making mistakes :D

Plus, his tech being on the fritz, makes his whole "they care more about what I can do for them than me"/needing to be useful, and fix things, mean that much more.

Also also, I'm basing above off of the fact that the siblings like his tech, but don't trust it, and they often don't exactly listen to him that often ('DONNIE NOT HELPING!') Which I feel like would hurt after some time. Also this post.

Donnie goes to his phone after his achievement of his tech bo working, he's probably documenting his success + photo archives + data points.

I've heard the hc that the brothers keep Mikey's drawings, maybe Donnie scans each one for his archives? They have a whole scrapbook?

Oh wait... that's really cute actually.

Mikey gets bored of the Villain banter really fast. Donnie wants his own world to keep working as it does and just coast along with his family while still 'spending time with them' (I can HEAVILY relate... or maybe I'm just projecting, but wanting to be in your own world while being around others is literally my whole life in a nutshell.)

I think Raph trains on his own + counts Lou Jitsu movies as training, Leo does not.

April has successfully defeated Huggin and Munnin. Clap clap.

Notes for Louise: Baron Draxum is show-offy and thinks he's 'all that' and truly bettering humanity. His lab is huge and colorful, full of alchemy experiments. He has 'bio-inspired' magic. Like plants and spiderwebs and huge fleshy gauntlets

Mikey activates his mystic powers after he gets angry at Baron Draxum for trying to hurt April. He can't really control it, but his anger activates it.

Mikey's mystic weapon is a cackling fireball gremlin that is absolutely uncontrollable. Everyone (including Donnie) thinks it's REALLY COOL
