Home is Where You Are pt 2 | Feysand
Girl next door AU. Part 1 Part 3
Of course she had a fiancé. Feyre was talented, sweet, gorgeous, and did this really cool thing with the mud pies where she sprinkled dry dirt on top like cocoa. Okay, that last one was a childhood memory but Rhys hadn't seen her since they were kids. It was a very confusing moment for him.
"Nice to meet you," he said smoothly, extending a hand. He pushed down on the swell of jealousy that rose through him. It was ridiculous really, he hadn't seen the girl in a decade and some part of his animal brain thought it was allowed to be jealous. Surely he was better than that.
"Still live on Velaris street, do you?" Tamlin asked. His had was clammy when he shook Rhys'. "No, I moved out to the city some years ago," Rhys replied. He put his hands in his pockets. "Feyre invited me back."
"Rhys was always over," Feyre explained. She looked at him now, and the affection shining in her eyes made him forget to wonder why she had never told her fiancé about him. "His dad... wasn't great so he practically lived with us. I thought he might want to be here before we sold off the old place. Rhys is my oldest friend."
"Daddy issues, huh?" Tamlin said, in what Rhys had to imagine was an attempt at a sympathetic look. This did nothing for his first impression of the man. Feyre frowned at him, but Rhys just tilted his head to one side. "Do you know," Rhys mused, "I think even as a child Feyre had such a protective side to her, and I think that's why she loved me extra hard."
Tamlin glowered, and Rhys gave him a winning smile. Even as all the while the voice in his head whispered play nice, play nice.
"Why don't we go for lunch?" Feyre suggested. "I'm starving." "You're always starving," Tamlin said, rolling his eyes. "Lunch would be perfect," Rhys said. "We drove in, do you want a lift?" "Sure, thanks."
The three of them climbed into Tamlin's irritatingly red car to a diner not far from the old house. The neighbourhood wasn't bad, actually, it was just Rhys' attached memories that made it seem decrepit. He reminded himself that he had rather liked this diner, that Feyre's family had eaten here often and sometimes brought him with them. Particularly when Feyre's parents noticed he hadn't been eating very much.
A waitress came to take their order, and Rhys ordered a club sandwich. He looked at Feyre through one eye.
"Cheeseburger, no pickles, right?" He remembered this, because he had always been the one that ate said pickles after she picked them off. The sweetest grin started to spread over Feyre's face. But then Tamlin cut in.
"Actually," he said, "we adhere to a strict paleo diet. Well, some of us more strict than others." He nudged Feyre in the ribs, and turned to the waitress.
"We'll have two of the chicken caesar salad, with no dressing, and no cheese. Oh and no croutons."
Rhys stared. Feyre's face seemed to fall a little, but then she smiled at the waitress and handed back her menu.
The food came quickly, and Rhys' sandwich came with a side order of fries. Feyre's and Tamlin's meals looked, unsurprisingly, disappointing. Half way through, Tamlin asked for extra grilled chicken to add to his meal, and didn't offer any to Feyre. Rhys watched Feyre out of the corner of his eye. She had said she was starving.
"Hey," he said to her. "Can you help me with these fries? I'm full and I hate wasting food." "Sure," Feyre said brightly, and he shuffled them onto her plate where she practically inhaled them. "Babe," Tamlin said, aghast. "Come on, you had fries last week." He leaned in and spoke quietly to Feyre- but not so quietly that Rhys couldn't hear him. "Lay off the fried foods for a bit, huh?"
Feyre pushed him off. "Leave me alone, Tamlin," she said. "I'm selling my dead father's house. And I'm hungry."
Rhys concentrated on the remains of his sandwich. Good, he thought. That was more like the Feyre he knew. Had known.
After they were done, Tamlin got up to use the restroom, leaving Feyre and Rhys alone. Rhys couldn't help himself.
"That guy?" he barked with a laugh. "That's your fiancé? What are you doing with him Feyre?" "Hey don't be a dick," Feyre said, surprised. "You only just met him." "Yeah and I already know him. 'You had fries last week'? That sounds familar." Feyre's face twisted in anger. "Tamlin is not your father," she hissed. "He was my personal trainer when we met, I said I wanted to lose a few pounds, he's helping me keep on track." Rhys leaned back in the booth. "Oh so he met you as a professional, started a relationship with a client, and is still commenting on your eating as your partner. Yeah, that's much better."
Feyre opened her mouth, then snapped it shut. "You know what," she said. "It's been a very long time since we were friends." "Best friends. If I recall." "That's a childish term. I am not a child, and I certainly don't need you to come rescue me."
At that moment, Tamlin reappeared. "Are we ready to go?" he said. "Yes," Feyre replied curtly, and slid out from the bench. "You two go ahead," Rhys said, toying with his water glass. "I'll walk. It'll be good to revisit the old neighbourhood." "Fine," Feyre said. "Alright," Tamlin said, "how should we split the bill?" "I've got it," Rhys replied. "Fine," Feyre said again, and towed Tamlin out the door.
When they were gone, Rhys let his head drop back against the back of the seat, and closed his eyes. Idiot, idiot, idiot, he chanted to himself. He stood, paid for the food, and began the walk back to the house.
By the time Rhys reached their old address, he had calmed down enough to feel ashamed. He had not meant to sound so condescending, he had just been shocked that Tamlin was who Feyre had ended up with.
When he walked up to the house, the red car was nowhere to be seen. He opened the door, still unlocked.
"Feyre?" he called. "Here," her voice returned. Rhys walked through the house, gazing around himself as he did. It looked smaller than he remembered- although that was likely because he was taller. The Archerons had left so quickly that they hadn't bothered to take everything with them. The old furniture still remained, under now grey drop sheets.
Feyre was standing in the kitchen, with her hands braced on the island countertop. "Tamlin was called back to town for a work thing," she said. "Ah," Rhys said. "We were supposed to stay a few days and get things checked off before the funeral... but I can do it myself, I guess." She suddenly sounded very tired.
"Hey," Rhys said gently. She looked up at him, with those heart-stopping, stormy eyes. "I'm sorry about earlier." Feyre sighed. "It's okay." "It's not," Rhys said. "You were right. I don't know him, and I don't know you, really. I had no right to come in and make comments about your relationship." "No," Feyre said slowly. "You didn't." "I won't do it again," Rhys said. "And, I would love to get to know you. You know, as adults."
Feyre smiled. "I would like that too." She leaned her elbows against the counter top. "You're forgiven." She flashed a wicked grin. "Prick."
Rhys smiled. She had called him that when they were young- it was one of the first grown-up insults she had learned and took great delight in hurling it at him.
"So what do you want to do?" he asked. "I guess, we go through the house and find out what's in here." She wrinkled her nose. "I almost want a HAZMAT suit." Rhys laughed. "Let's open some windows," he said.
For the rest of the afternoon, they uncovered the Archeron's abandoned belongings. Some things were completely unrecognisable. Many of the things brought back memories, funny or happy or sad, and Rhys was warmed by the realisation that he had just as many memories here as Feyre did. Eventually, the sun started to go down, and of course there was no electricity in the house. They had been drinking water out of a tap in the neighbour's garden.
"Where are you staying?" Rhys asked her. "Well, here I guess." Rhys looked around himself, at ten years of dust and debris. "Is this... liveable?" "Probably not," Feyre said. "I think we might suffocate to death in our sleep. I thought about going back into town, but Tamlin's rushed off with the car. Where are you staying?" "Do you know, I never quite got that far." Rhys gave her a lopsided grin, embarrassed. The truth was, he had been so focused on making his way back to her that he hadn't even considered logistics like where he might sleep that night.
Feyre straightened up, and her eyes twinkled. "I've got an idea," she said.
An hour later, as it got dark in earnest, Rhys stomped down the last tent peg. The had muddled through the garage until they found the old camping gear, in surprisingly good nick.
Feyre lay down, and Rhys squeezed his broad frame in beside her. "Does it horrify you a bit that after ten years, these plastic nylon sleeping bags haven't degraded at all?' Rhys asked. "It does," Feyre agreed, "although I'm also thankful we have the option. That house is not fit for the living." "Well," said Rhys, "tomorrow we can spend the day cleaning. It'll be good as new." "Okay, deal!" Feyre said happily. They lay in silence for a moment.
"Do you know," Rhys said. "I'm pretty sure the last time we saw each other was in this very tent." Feyre laughed a husky, gorgeous laugh. "Oh I'm very aware. We were each others' first kiss."
Rhys rolled onto his side to look at her. "What's happened since then?" he asked. "What have you been doing for the last ten years?"
Feyre gave him an odd look, taken aback a little by the sudden intensity in his voice. Rhys didn't care. He had thought of her so many times through the years, but she had become some sort of distant, nostalgic memory.
Now she was here, he had to know. Everything.
Feyre rolled slowly to face him, and became serious. "What happened is my mom died," she said. "And my dad, he couldn't cope with it. He never recovered, and so I didn't know it at the time but I lost both my parents that day. We moved into some shitty rental, and then something would remind him of her and we moved again. He couldn't hold down a job, couldn't stay in one place. I think I haven't had a real home since I left here."
Her lovely eyes were filled with such sadness, it was all Rhys could do not to reach out and touch her face.
"Me neither," he said quietly. "Next door was never home for me, you know that. And after you guys left... after you were gone..." "Where's your father now?" Feyre asked. "Dead," Rhys said. "I'm sorry." "I'm not."
Feyre didn't respond. Rhys sighed. "I shouldn't say that about him." "He was a bastard," Feyre said. "He was, at that." Rhys said. Feyre rolled back to stare at the ceiling of the tent, and Rhys wanted so much to pull her back. But instead, he rolled over, too. He listened to her breathing in the dark, and for a moment, they could have been thirteen again. For a moment, it was as if no time at all had passed and he had his best friend back and they were home.
Then Feyre spoke.
"At least I've got Tamlin now," she said. “We just rent our apartment right now but in a few years we’ll buy a house, and then I’ll have a home again.”
And with that the moment was over.
****
Mm. This is not quite where I thought this would go, but let's embrace the angst for a hot minute and see where it goes.

At the End of Everything, Hold Onto Anything
Ahoy hoy, readers!
So... This is another one of my personal favorites, even though I was relatively new back when I wrote it. Like “Snowed In,” this takes place in a modern AU. This was also slightly inspired by Night in the Woods. It’s a really good game, and I think you should check it out.
And like “Hold You, Never Let Go,” I was only able to post the first half since the second part contains smut, which I’m afraid of getting in trouble for if I were to post it here, since I’m not too familiar with this site’s content guidelines. There is a brief mention of it, though, but it’s very brief and will most likely be fine (I hope).
Anyway, I think I’ve rambled on for long enough. I hope you enjoy!
. ˚◞♡ 🎐 *ೃ༄
The breeze was cold, delivering the autumn winds as it traveled. Leaves fell from the looming trees, assuming a crisp orange hue. Autumn is said to represent adulthood and maturity. And, to be frank, whoever said that wasn't necessarily wrong.
You had just finished unpacking your things. You had just moved back to your hometown. Why? Well, you wanted to resume your aimless former life and catch up on those you left behind. So you dropped out of college, moved back, and... yeah.
In fact, there was one person in particular you yearned to see again. You just weren't sure if that person still lived here.
It's better to just not get your hopes up, though...
━━━✦❘༻༺❘✦━━━
A few days have passed, and already you're starting to feel a little glum.
Things have changed here. Your friends, the town, the venues... everything. It's almost as though everything's moved on without you.
Your friends have grown and changed. They have jobs now. They almost seemed alien to you now. Or was it the other way around?
Nah, it had to be them.
Anyways, there was still this one place in town you liked that was still around. It was a local bar you used to sneak into from time to time, namely because they had a cocktail-type arcade machine called "Galaga," and you would always sneak in to play it.
Looking back, you're actually rather thankful that the bartender pretended not to see you when you did.
And admittedly, you actually did have a drink or two a few years before you were of legal age to drink. Thankfully, you dodged a huge bullet when your mother took you here for your "first drink" since the bartender covered for you.
Good times...
But even the bar itself had changed. The bar had been renovated to fit in with more modern times (it was actually more like a club than a bar now). Nevertheless, you were relieved that it was at least still there.
You could hear the music from across the street. Sighing, you decided to enter. Whether it was for nostalgic reasons or simply because of an obscure sense of curiosity, you'd never know.
━━━✦❘༻༺❘✦━━━
You took a sip of your drink as you stared at the others abhorrently, jealous that those freaks were able to find their "special someone" before you (even if it was just some weird hookup). It disgusted you. But perhaps it was all just in your head. Nonetheless, you were still pretty pissed.
Of course, this burning flame of jealousy died down a bit when notice a familiar face sitting next to you—Hinoka. Hinoka was a good friend of yours. She was a serious girl who didn't take shit from anyone. And admittedly, you still thought it was the funniest thing ever when she knocked the shit out of this one jackass who attempted to flirt with her, only to offend her in the process.
Anyway, you were a bit surprised to find that Hinoka of all people decided to come to a place like this. "H-Hinoka?!" you practically yelped. "Dude, I haven't seen you in forever!"
"Hm? Oh, hey (Y/N)," she responded, sipping out of her flask. "What're you doing here? Weren't you going to college out-of-state?"
"Uh, yeah, funny story," you began. "I kinda, sorta dropped out."
"Oh, really? How come?"
"Do you promise not to laugh?"
"Of course. We've been friends for gods-know-how-long. You can tell me anything."
"Okay..." You inhaled deeply, then turned back to her. "I wanted to go back to being an aimless nobody and return to my friends and family."
It went silent for a moment before Hinoka let out a soft sigh. "Is that it?"
"Pretty much..." Technically, it wasn't. Of course, you weren't willing to admit that.
"I'm not going to judge you or think less of you for it," Hinoka began. "But I believe you could've done better. Honestly."
"Yeah, I know..."
Those were words you didn't want to hear at all, but you knew that Hinoka was just being a good friend. You couldn't be mad at her for that.
You took a sip, still feeling a bit glum. You're odds of actually getting to see a certain somebody were already low, but you feared that you might not even get to see them. Possibly ever again.
This certain somebody wasn't just "anybody." This somebody—a girl, to be exact—was someone you had your eyes on. In fact, you could've even said that you were infatuated with them. But being the dick you were back then, you left without even so much as a goodbye. Or at least, you thought you were a dick for it.
But that wasn't until you heard a soft, smooth voice that your mood suddenly skyrocketed. When you turned around, you saw her—a purple-haired woman sitting right next to you. You nearly spit out your drink (like a fucking idiot). It was her!
"C-C-Camilla?!" you squeaked.
She turned to you, a large smile spreading across her face. "(Y/N)? Oh, what a wonderful surprise~!" she said as she wrapped her arms around you, practically squeezing the life out of you. When she did so, her large breasts squished into your face. It was pleasant, but a bit cliché. You've seen something like this in a few anime and manga, and honestly, you now realize that it really isn't like they make it seem.
"I missed you so much," she cooed. You shifted your head so that you could speak. "Ah... I missed you, too."
Camilla eventually let go, then reached out to hold your hands. "Why don't we go somewhere else? We have quite a bit to catch up on, you know." As she spoke, you could tell that she was a bit disgusted by the mere presence of Hinoka. But that was to be expected. The two didn't neccessarily get along well. Hinoka seemed to be glaring at the purple-haired woman with the same amount of disgust.
"Y-Yeah, okay," was all you could utter. Camilla flashed you a warm smile, gently pulling you along and leading you outside.
━━━✦❘༻༺❘✦━━━
"Where have you been all this time? I missed you so much."
The two of you were now at your house. It was your idea, but it was a bit lackluster (in your opinion), and you hoped that Camilla wasn't secretly judging you for it. Well, it wasn't like you could've just waltzed into town and bought a fucking mansion or some shit.
"Ah... I went off to college. You know that."
"Oh, that's right. And how did that turn out for you?"
Again with that question...
"I...dropped out." You practically bit your tongue as you confessed that to her.
"Oh? How come?"
"Because..." You breathed in a sharp inhale. "I wanted to come back. Get all that pressure off of my shoulders. And..."
Gods, at a time like this, you wished you were dead.
"The truth is, I...wanted to be with you. I've always had my eyes on you, Camilla. I've dreamt of you for countless nights, wishing that I could just be in your arms and cuddle the shit out of you. That by some stupid luck I'd one day be yours. College was hard, Camilla, not because of the pressure, but because I missed you so fucking much."
At this point, the words just flowed out of you. Camilla seemed to be hooked on every word you managed to spew out.
"You're the only woman for me. I was a mess back there because you're just so perfect. I could never focus in my courses because I could never get you out of my head. Because I love you, Camilla, so very fucking much."
After confessing your feelings for her, you didn't think you could even bring yourself to look at her directly due to sheer embarrasment. You winced, expecting her to laugh at your feelings. To your surprise though, Camilla just stood up and approached you, bringing her fingers to your chin to guide your gaze to her face, before planting her lips onto yours. It felt...great.
To be honest, this was the best kiss you've ever had. You can't really say it was your first, though, since you've had a few partners back when you were going to college up state. Ever since you left, you had a huge hole inside that you desperately tried to fill, although things didn't really work out for you. You fought with one of them, the second cheated on you with some douchebag, and the rest were just hookups or one night stands. There was no woman out there that was like Camilla. Yeah, it was pretty hella depressing, but you knew that after this, that hole would finally be filled.
After what seemed like an eternity, your lips parted. The sensation still lingered within you, though, whether it was because of happiness, your libido, or maybe both. One thing's for certain, though: Camilla tasted really fucking good.
"Damn," you spoke. "That...was awesome."
"You liked it?" Camilla giggled. "I'm glad. I've been waiting so very long to do that."
"Have you, now? Well, I'm happy that I got my feelings through to you. Uh...assuming that you reciprocate, that is."
Camilla gave you a kiss on the forehead. "Of course. And you know...the others missed you just as much. Especially sweet little Corrin, the poor thing was so sad to see you go."
Corrin was a good friend of yours as well. The two of you would hang out all the time, to the point to where you remember pretty much everything about them. Not that you thought they were repulsive, of course. You simply enjoyed their company. The two of you would mostly play video games, but you did other things as well, such as eat lunch together or watch movies.
You missed those times... maybe you should go visit them.
"I'm glad to hear that," you responded. "Now then, there was actually something I've been wanting to do with you."
"Oh?" Camilla let out a confused yet intrigued sound. "Whatever might that be, sweetie?"
━━━✦❘༻༺❘✦━━━
"Bon appétit!"
You brought a few dishes to the table, decked out in red tablecloth and lit candles. Seeing as it was Valentine's Day, you thought that it would be nice to have a fancy(ish?) dinner with the woman who was now your girlfriend. This town didn't offer much in the way of good eats, so you took it upon yourself to cook them up in the comfort of your own home. You had gotten pretty good at cooking after you moved off to go to college, so you didn't have much to worry about in that department.
You brought a bottle of red wine and poured it into your glasses. It wasn't the most "high-class" wine in the world, but it certainly wasn't cheap, either. Some smooth jazz was playing in the background, too. You took a seat and said, "You know, you look really gorgeous. I mean...you always have, but..."
Camilla chuckled, taking a sip of her wine. "Awh, you've always been so cute when you trip over your words. I can't help but fawn over it."
"Damn... And here I thought I was looking like a complete fucking buffoon."
"Oh, I could never think that way of you. You went through all this trouble just to make me feel special, after all."
Ah... She always knew the right things to say. What a goddess.
"So," you began, sipping your wine and attempting to be seductive about it (although you hoped that you didn't look like an idiot doing so). "What have you been up to all this time? Now's a great time to catch up on everything."
"Ah, well, I just recently got a job downtown. I get paid a pretty good amount, so I've been able to take good care of by beautiful siblings easier. Well... Corrin and Elise, anyway."
"They still live with you?" you asked, stifling a bit of laughter. You didn't mean to be disrespectful; it was just a bit laughable to you.
"Oh, of course! Corrin is still pursuing their academic career, and Elise is still a bit too young to move out on her own. So, naturally, it's my job as their big sister to take care of them. We're still keeping in touch with Xander and Leo, though they're off pursuing their own affairs elsewhere."
"That...makes sense."
Camilla was almost like a mother to her siblings... It made you feel a bit jealous. Yeah, you had parents, but they hardly ever paid attention to you since they were always busy working. Because of this, any kind of relationship with them was pretty much nonexistent. It didn't really help that you didn't have any siblings, either.
"Oh? What's wrong, sweetheart?"
Camilla seemed to have sensed the uneasiness within you, much to your surprise. "O-Oh, uh, nothing. I was just thinking, that's all."
"About your parents?"
Fuck.
Camilla had known about your relationship (or, lack of, per se) for a while now, ever since you vented to her about it one day. To be honest, you never expected her to remember that.
You nodded, slowly, letting her know that she was right on the mark, as painful as it was.
"(Y/N), sweetie, you shouldn't worry so much about them. Even if they weren't close to you nor cared for you, you still have me! I care about you so, so much, and I always have. Even when you left, I continued to care deeply for you and your wellbeing."
"But aren't you upset that I just...left? Without even saying goodbye? Aren't you upset by how selfish I was back then?"
"Of course not, (Y/N). I could never be upset with you. You had your reasons. And besides, I knew you'd come home. That's why I waited. I've waited years for you to finally return. And now...here we are. Sitting at your table in your home."
...
You didn't know what to say. Camilla seemed to stand by you no matter what, even though you practically abandoned her for something better, and she was fully aware of that fact. Her little speech brought tears to your eyes. Gods, you loved her so much.
"Thank you..." you said with a sniffle.
"Aww, don't cry, darling. It'll be okay now. You're home." Camilla got up and came over to where you were sitting, turning you around and embracing you.
"T-That's right," you sniffled. "And I'm not leaving again. By your side is where I want to be, even if it's in a hellhole of a town like this. I'm not leaving you ever again."
Camilla smiled against your forehead, tears pricking the corners of her eyes. "That's so sweet, (Y/N). I'll always...always be by your side, too, no matter what."
"I'm...happy," was all you could utter.
"Hey," Camilla said, releasing you. "How about we have a little "fun?" You know, since it's Valentine's Day? And a reunion? It'll be much more romantic that way."
To be frank, you've had wet dreams about Camilla even while you were away, so the thought of actually having sex wasn't a bad idea.
"Okay," you replied. "Let's do it." You weren't sure if it was because you were practically half-wine now, but you were feeling pretty adventurous.
Smiling, Camilla reached for your hand and led you to your bedroom.

[Masterlist]
Beta: @LunarLxve Pairing: Hoseok x Reader Genre: Friendship, Comedy, Soft boy, Fluff, SMUT, Friends2Lovers,
Summary: You held many titles: his neighbor, colleague, wing-man… well, more likely a wing-woman, yet most importantly, you were his best friend. You had been friends since you were born. Between the two of you, you were younger; barely, but he never let you forget it. He always seemed to ruffle your hair and tease you, which could get rather annoying but he made up for it by treating you to things. What if a drunken one night stand between you and your best friend Hoseok leads to more complicated situations? Your reckless twenties are cut short as you find yourself suddenly responsible for something a little more.
Warning: Implied sex, Implied impreg, Penetrative sex, big dick Jhope (bigger than average not like monstrous).
Tumblr media
You had drifted back to sleep, glad that it was a Saturday. The weather had been getting warmer, and it made the air slightly stale in the apartment. You had forgotten everything from the night before, in lieu of pleasant dreams. You don’t remember exactly what happened, but you were happy. A few key details you did happen to remember all included Hoseok smiling by your side.
He was smiling, holding your hand, the honey tones in his skin glowing in the sunset. His hickory brown colored eyes turning to meet yours. The thick love bands under his eyes were endearing; he said something, but you couldn’t hear him. His rosy lips made a heart shape when he smiled.
His laugh was faint, or perhaps you just imagined that you could hear it, the corner of his perfect almond-shaped eyes turning up slightly. The scent of leather, cashmere cinnamon, liquor and peach, and freesia. It was a blend of Hoseok and your perfumes mixed together. You felt safe.
Knock knock.
Startled awake from the sharp sound, your eyes flicking open as if you had closed them for only a second. Blinking confused at the ceiling, long enough to question whether someone was really at your door. Perhaps no one was there, and you had just dreamt it. You closed your eyes, rolling over and burying your face in Hoseok’s shirt that you stole.
Knock Knock.
You rolled your eyes, swinging your legs off the bed and trudging to the door. You weren’t an aggressive person, but you were pretty sure you could commit several crimes to the person on the other side of the door. Throwing the door open, you were met with a freshly showered Jhope, standing in his baggy street fashion and dark shades, though they were probably for his hangover you thought they were particularly flattering. Sudden memories of the night previous flooded back, taking your breath away.
Hoseok was touching your waist, slowly massaging your hips with his larger hands. You were feeling the two extra shots that you knew you shouldn’t have had. You were feeling good; finally, his attention was on you. There was no one else keeping him away from you, no ex-girlfriends, no booty calls, no friends with benefits. It felt nice to be the one he was looking as, to have his undivided attention.
This moment was like opening the floodgates, and suddenly you were chasing more. His affection was something you didn’t know you needed, but when he kissed you, it was all you could think about. It just felt like so much more.
“Y/n?” Hoseok grasped, your shoulder confused, “Are you okay?”
“What?” Shaking your head physically as if to clear it only to regret it instantly when your nausea kicked in. Tequila wasn’t something you wanted to experience again so soon after last night. Honestly, you weren’t sure it would look as desirable on the way up as it did on the way down, and you weren’t ready to find out.
“I said I brought breakfast if you are interested” He held up a bag and a cardboard drink holder with two coffees, one Iced Americano and one Frappuccino. You took one of the two beverages and gestured for him to come inside, he laughed watching you walk away, leaving him in the doorway of your apartment.
You sat as he unpacked the brown paper bag, presenting you with a mix of breakfast foods. It wasn’t exactly awkward, there seemed to be no difference between the two of you, but you were thinking about it, and more specifically, how to casually bring it up in conversation.
“How are you feeling?” He asked, placing his hand on your knee.
“Um, I’m okay a little sore, but that is to be expected I guess,” you hummed.
“I don’t remember past kissing some random girl at the club, but I guess she liked me cause she came home with me, I don’t remember much of anything at all except she was good. Real good.”
Like the weight off your shoulders had fallen straight onto your chest. It was almost strange how you could feel relieved and yet so disappointed. You could liken it to a friend cancelling plans —When your happy cause you weren’t feeling up to going out and doing things, but you also feel a little disappointed because you sort of wanted to see your friends—.
So you were happy he didn’t know it was you, so your relationship wasn’t ruined, but at the same time you were sad because a part of you wanted him to know that you were the one he was with that night.
Brushing it off and pushing the feelings into a little ball in your chest, hoping that soon the feeling would shrink until it was gone.
“She sounds amazing.”
“I don’t know what it was, but I just felt really good physically and emotionally, I wish she didn’t leave.”
“I guess that’s life,” you smiled, and he couldn’t help but laugh and snuggle against you. The two of you relaxing and falling asleep on the couch binge watching reruns of old Drama’s. You don’t know how you convinced him to watch Boys over flowers start to finish. But that's how you spent the rest of your weekend.
“Lil’ Darling, we have work tomorrow, let’s go to bed” He smiled, and you looked at him a little alarmed.
“Hobi, I don’t feel okay,” You said “I can’t explain it, I am not sick, I just don’t want to be left alone” You whined lightly. “I feel slightly off, wrong.”
“Is my lil’ darling anxious, I would offer you to stay, but I haven’t changed the sheets,” He said gently holding your cheek “What do you need me to do?”
“Please stay,” You clutched his shirt in a tight fist, “I want you to stay.”
“Only for you lil’ darling,” Scooping you up into his arms, he carried to your room. Stopping in the doorway, he chuckled. “You still have that old single bed.”
“Yeah you know I hate the idea of a guy staying the night, I don’t want them to catch feelings.”
“Well don’t worry about me darling, I won’t catch any feelings” He paused for a moment you watched him stare at your bed before taking a deep breath and looking down at you and grinning.
He placed you down on your bed and watched you quickly snuggle under your blankets and get comfortable. “It is going to be a tight squeeze lil darling” He laughed, turning the small lamp on beside the bed. He ducked off to the bathroom, and his absence left you feeling a little sad, you were never clingy; there was a reason you had a single bed.
You learnt from a young age that people would always let you down, so you never wanted to get into a serious relationship or rely on anyone ever. Even Hoseok had done so once or twice, but you could never hate him because out of everyone, he was the one who was always there. That’s why the two of you were sharing a single bed because of your commitment issues.
Hoseok returned, looking relieved when he saw you holding the small stuffed animal he had got you back when you were in the third grade. It was an apology for missing your birthday party, one of the three times he let you down. The second time had been when he told you he would take you to prom because you didn’t want to go if one of you were left out so you would go as friends, but then he revealed he was going with some other girl and you had to find someone last minute.
The third and final time he had betrayed you was when you had asked Hoseok to walk you home from the club, but he left home early, and someone had slipped something into your drink. Thankfully that was the night you became well acquainted with Jin and Jimin both who looked after you throughout the night. Jimin rubbed your back as you vomited into a bucket and cried for Hoseok while Jin tried to call Hoseok repeatedly. You had ended up in the hospital getting your stomach pumped, and he had apologized profusely.
The stuffed horse you had affectionately named Mang, had long ears with a silk lining which you would rub your thumbs along each ear while overthinking things or generally feeling anxious. Hoseok smiled at the habit he had watched develop over the years, and he sat on the bed, taking the toy gently from you and smiled fondly at it.
“You still keep this old thing?” He looked at the stuffed toy that you had worn the ears on, and the mismatched eyes where you had to sew a replacement on as one was lost over time. You saw this face every time he looked at the horse toy whenever it popped up in your lives. You wondered if it was nostalgic for him to see. It was strange to think about how long it had been.
You watched Hoseok lay backhanding you the doll, it was awkward at first. Shoulders pressed together, you were pressed to the wall, and Hoseok was hanging half of the bed. “We used to fit a lot better when we were younger,” He laughed, making you crack a smile. “Lay on your side.”
You turned to face the wall, and Hoseok laid behind you, wrapping his arms around you, and pulling you close. “Look now we fit” His words sparked another memory.
“Hobi, I don’t think you will fit” The sight of his exposed member was honestly amazing. He had the perfect dick, it was bigger than average and an average girth, the head a perfect rosy color. He kept everything well groomed, and you wanted to taste him, feel the weight of him on your tongue.
You squirmed feeling the slippery sensation between your thighs, he asked you if this was what you wanted and reassured you not only that you could say no but also that he would be gentle. Even in his drunken state, he was still a gentleman. But there was not a thought in your head that wanted to stop this, so you agreed, voice husky.
He opened your legs, holding himself up with one hand the other holding the shaft of his penis. Nudging your legs open a little more, he pressed slowly into you looking up to make sure you were not in pain, but his eyes continued to drift back down, not wanting to miss the way you looked being stretched around him slowly.
Once the head of his cock was within the warmth of your pussy, he placed his hand on the other side of your body, pressing his hips forward and rolling them slightly upward so that he could follow the natural curve of your body and bury deeper inside you. There was a moment where he thought he would pass out, his thoughts felt cloudy from the alcohol but also the feeling of your smooth walls concealing him.
You can’t remember how your position changed or how many rounds it had been, but you had ended up on your hands and knees. Hips tilted forward, presenting yourself to Hoseok and allowing him to slide in easily. Well lubricated by a mix of slick and cum, he entered with a quick thrust making you moan and grip the bed sheets. This angle felt so amazing inside of you, he was able to rub more against the front wall of your dripping cunt.
He began thrusting, his hands grasped your hips, which he used to drive you back against him. The noises that left your mouth were a mix of moans of pleasure and forced exhales by the sheer strength off his thrusts, your arms gave out and your chest was pressed to the bed, your face against the pillow as your legs shook in pleasure.
Your orgasm was building, and you came; the tight waves of pleasure between your legs made Hoseok stutter his hips thrusting forward. Managing to catch the headboard before he fell dick first on top of you. Cum pooling deep inside you as your cervix was contracting, kissing against it to let the seed filter into the depths of your womb.
You laid there thinking over that night, and just before you fell asleep a realization hit, Hoseok wasn’t wearing a condom, and you didn't take the pill because you are an irresponsible woman in her mid-twenties.
In your defense you rarely find yourself in situations to need to be on birth control. Then there are the side effects the pill causes your body to go through, things like weight gain, acne, heavy periods. It all just became too many cons to one pro that you didn’t need.
You quickly grabbed your phone from under the pillow, Hoseok’s soft snoring keeping time behind you, opening your app, you looked at your period tracker and saw your ovulation day had passed, everything was perfectly safe. What would be the odds that anything would come out of one night? You could move on without any worries, no need to waste your time and money on the morning after pill either.
Tumblr media
Hoseok’s alarms went off first, and he quickly snoozed it, you both laid there still, desperately clutching to the last few minutes of sleep. Part of you wondered if Hoseok also thought about calling in sick just to have an extra day to laze around, but you knew he wasn’t like that. He was fairly hardworking, and in turn, the two of you had never missed a day off work unless you were violently ill.
But today wasn’t one of those days you were in perfect condition, which meant when your alarm went off, Hoseok was ready to get up. This would have been fine, but he pestered you until you were up and awake as well.
“Come on, let’s get ready for work, and I will make breakfast” You rolled over giving him the stink eye. Raising his hands defensively, he walked out of the room with a five-minute warning. You begrudgingly got out of bed. Spending more time than necessary in the shower. When you left, Hoseok was a note on the bench with a plate of toast and beans. You must be getting low on groceries.
Dear Lil’ Darling, You have no food in the house. Let’s go shopping after work. Speaking of, I left early because I was called in by Taeil. Love you, Your hope and sunshine.
Opening the fridge and indeed your suspicions, and Hoseok’s letter was confirmed, it was particularly bare. There was an ancient jar of jam towards the back and alcoholic beverages here and there. You ate quickly and headed off to work, feeling bored with the lack of your best friend for the journey.
When you arrived at work, Taeil was there, as usual, chewing gum and searching his clipboard. “Hey y/n, you have a new partner as of today” You looked up at him, horrified. The only way you were able to stomach this job day after day was because of Hoseok.
“What do you mean, new partner?”
“Hoseok is training some of the newbies with Taeyong, and you are going to be paired with Winwin,” the disbelief must have been evident on your face as he gave you a pat on the shoulder. “It’s not forever.”
Your day went from bad to worse, when your lunch break didn't line up with Hoseok’s. On top of that, on your way out of the bathroom, a woman asked if you could watch her child while she went to the toilet.
The child stared at you the whole time, his tiny fist gripping your necklace and trying to eat it. As time passed, you started talking to the baby, and eventually, you found yourself wondering. You were getting older, and some of your classmates had all started to have children. You had never really felt maternal, and you loved your mid-twenties dearly the freedom to go anywhere, do anything, no one waiting at home, no children to take care of.
But at the same time, you were scared. Things with Hoseok wouldn’t last; just like today, he will go in his own direction, find a woman, get married. The question was; Where would you be?
Hoseok met up with you outside the park, and the two of you took the bus, stopping at the shopping center. Hoseok grabbed the cart while you pulled out your list. This was one thing your mother always taught you to budget and plan things accordingly.
You walked down each aisle carefully, calculating prices and value for money. Hoseok laughed when he had first encountered you on a shopping trip, but now he was leaning down to the bottom shelf, reading the different prices of UHT milk.
“This one is the cheapest,” he turned, smiling.
“That’s so cute,” an old woman smiled “remember when we started shopping together when we were first married?”
“Oh, we are not—” you were cut off by Hoseok’s hand, which was sneaking around the small of your back and grasping your waist. He pulled you closer with a cheeky grin, his long thin fingers wiggling against your side, making you squirm and giggle.
His nose was buried in your hair, eyeing the older couple, “don’t spoil their fun, they are reminiscing their youth” Hoseok decided to help the older couple shop talking about helping them reach things off the top and bottom shelf and lifting anything particularly heavy. The whole time Hoseok was telling them how you were best friends through school, and you worked together.
“How sweet you have been together for so long, your home must be filled with so many sweet memories” the woman smiled happily.
“Of course, our home is small but cozy we can’t keep away from each other” Hoseok smiled winking at you he described a false home you definitely didn’t own.
“We live on the outskirts of town, so we have a little more room and a little back yard. The sun comes in through the window in the afternoon, and the breeze blows the cream lace curtains gently. We sometimes have tea on the back porch when we have time.”
You couldn’t let Hoseok have all the fun, so you joined in, telling them about how Hoseok, on the weekends, would dance around the living room while cleaning, and you would tend to the gardens.
“Every morning, he makes breakfast and coffee and gets me out of bed, and every night I make his favourite dinners, and if he has been working hard, I make his favourite dessert.”
After what seemed like the longest, but  very enjoyable shopping experience you had in a while, you headed out to the parking lot, waving goodbye to the old couple.
You decided to take a taxi home as there were too many groceries to carry on the bus.
“That old couple was so cute, they really thought we were a married couple” Hoseok laughter was infectious, and you couldn’t help but join in with his wholesome fun. “I think we would be a cute couple if we did get married.”
You wiped your tears of amusement from your eyes, turning to see him watching the first few droplets of rain hit the window as the city passed by.
“If you were my husband, you would have to learn to take the trash out at night?” You hummed, “I can’t keep doing it for you.”
“Hey it is scary going out the side of the apartment at night, and it smells funny,” he laughed, acting sheepish about his fears, but you understood, you had your own fears that felt irrational sometimes.
“If you were, my wife would have to know how to turn me on” His eyebrows wiggled suggestively, and he tickled his fingers up your arm making you slap it away, dismissing his comment as solely playful what if’s with no underlying meaning.
“You don’t think I could, that’s harsh Hoseok” Arms crossed in a mock upset, “why do guys stay with me then?”
“They don’t,” he laughed, normally you would laugh too, not one to get offended at a self-deprecating joke, but it kind of hurt as well. You got out, grabbing your groceries from the boot, the light sprinkle of rain turning into a heavy shower.
Your work uniform was a frilly dress that matched the cartoon funhouse you worked in, you honestly loved working the adult rides or the safari bus where you could wear pants or shorts and a polo top.
It almost felt refreshing to be in the summer rain, you spun around a collection of shopping bags in each hand. The rain promised a fresh start, but you thought it felt more like a cold ending to something you cherished.
Clothes weighing you down almost as heavy of the doubt in your chest. You wanted nothing but to let this moment last forever. This perfect plateau, an in-between where nothing was happening, you didn’t want to grow up anymore. If you could go back, you would appreciate those days just sitting in the same room as Hoseok after school, watching TV together, and learning the choreographies in music videos.
Talking about your dreams, you would always say you didn’t know what you wanted; for Hoseok, he always said he would be a dancer. But, given a chance to go back, you would tell him, the only thing you want to be is with him forever. The idea of parting ways never seemed like an option, but you knew one day it had to come. Something about your drunken one night stand together made this whole twenty-something year relationship seem so fragile.
“You are going to get sick, come inside,” Hoseok called, standing under the cover of your apartment building. When had you started crying? The odd mix of hot tears and ice-cold raindrops, reflecting how indecisive you felt.
“Hoseok, if I asked you to, would you stay by my side forever?” He was a smart guy and very perceptive he knew the difference between the rain and your tears.
He placed the groceries down under the cover and stepped out into the rain, taking you in his arms. You dropped the bags at your feet and wrapped your arms around him. “I am scared you are going to leave.”
“Hey, I could never leave you, you are my best friend, right?” He laughed, holding your cheeks softly, and you watched him searching your eyes for something, “You remember this?”
He unbuttoned his uniform shirt and revealed his bare chest, you had seen his smooth, strong chest on many occasions but he drew your attention to a tiny tattoo just slightly off center in the middle of his chest. You often forgot it was there so used to it just being there. “What does this say?”
“Baseline,” you sighed, knowing exactly what he was going to say.
“You are the baseline in my life and I will be there” He moved your shirt to show your collar bone where you had a matching tattoo delicately written on the clavicle. “We got them as a promise, remember?”
“Why are we here?” You asked Hoseok as he walked you into the tattoo parlor, you looked around looking curious but confused.
“Because I stuffed up, and I need to prove to you that I won’t leave you like that again,” Hoseok said, determined.
“It’s fine, that's what people do. It’s not something you can control; people are just born to let others down.” You sighed.
“Not me. Not your best friend Hoseok” He grabbed your shoulders, turning you to face him. Eyes pleading for you to realize how important this was to him. “I will stain this onto my skin, so I never forget.”
“What if you get married one day, and your wife doesn’t like the tattoo?” You asked him curiously as to what he was going to get, and where was it going to be big?
“That’s if I get married,” he laughed “when we turn forty if we aren’t married, let’s just get married, deal?”
“Thirty, and that's the baseline I won’t go any higher, or I will be too old to get married.”
“Deal! Thirty is our baseline” He linked pinkies with you as a heavily tattooed young man approached the counter.
“Sorry about the wait, how can I help you?”
“I would like a tattoo sir on my chest right here,” Hoseok said, his eyes never leaving yours, the artist asked him what he was thinking. “I would like ‘Baseline’ written right here.”
It was a spare of the moment decision that made you get the same tattoo, but instead of over your heart, you go it above your heart.
Tumblr media
Heartfelt moment over, and you were left with damp clothes and a few soggy groceries. Hoseok went home to shower, telling you to call if you needed anything. It truly was the closing of a chapter, the thin wall between you and Hoseok seemed like the furthest you had ever been apart.
That night you dreamt about him, in the fake house he had spoken about earlier that day with the cream lace curtains blowing gently in the breeze, letting the afternoon sun in through the glass door that lead to the back porch. You crossed the light wooden floors and stepped onto the back veranda to see Hoseok swinging in a hammock, his sun-kissed skin glowing gold under the warmth of the summer sky.
His hair gently tousled every now and again by the breeze, and his lips parted with a short sigh. You wondered what he was dreaming about while looking so at peace, his eyes slowly blinked open and you could see the love they held as they met your own. It was like getting winded you woke up from the sheer panic that coursed through you, sitting up your cheeks were damp and you realized.
You were in love with your best friend, Jung Hoseok.

Reasons Why I Really Enjoyed Kingdom Hearts III
The music. Every time I listen to the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World of Tres- soundtrack, it makes me want to play the game. The music is so much attached to the imagery and gameplay that I can’t seem to separate the two. Granted, I’ve always loved the music of the Kingdom Hearts series. But there is something about hearing music from KH3 that makes me go “wow, I really want to go play in the Kingdom Of Corona right now” etc. That’s something I never really experienced before this game; I of course relate the music to the worlds and moments that they played during, but they’ve never gotten me in the mood to immediately go turn on my console and play. Also, full Kingdom Hearts III soundtrack when??? (I suppose the answer is when all the DLC is released and the soundtrack is considered COMPLETE but... I just really want it okay.)
The visuals. Continuing off the last point... Kingdom Hearts III is G O R G E O U S. I had my doubts about the unreal engine and honestly, I had my doubts about KH getting a more detailed look in general. I enjoyed watching the FMV videos at the beginning and ends of the games but the more cartoony in-game graphics always felt like home to me. It took some time and a lot of trailers to gain my approval, but the final product was gorgeous. Granted... I honestly still have some complaints. Mostly about my old boss, our own King Mickey; I feel the new style doesn’t show his emotions very well but hopefully that’ll improve in time? Moving on from the characters... The worlds. Omg, the worlds. The detail that went into them is astounding; not to mention the effects that magic has on your surroundings when using it! And then of course, there’s the battle animations. Flashy, amusing, and destructive? A win, in my opinion, and definitely true to the Disney name.
World Building. The worlds are finally not lifeless dioramas from the movies! It always bugged me when they’d talk about climbing up a mountain or something like that, and in reality we’d pass through 2 or maybe 3 areas with very gradual elevation changes and the characters would be like “phew what a rough journey” and you’d be like “that literally took one minute but okay”. The North Mountain from Arendelle is a REAL MOUNTAIN. Like the Heartless knocked me off after I had been climbing for like 20 minutes and I felt like I had suffered an actual loss. How dare they make my perilous journey even longer by knocking me off the side of the mountain?! Luckily, I found a shortcut so it was fine, but it actually felt like accomplishing something while climbing that mountain which was... amazing. My other favorite experience was gathering together the green blocks to make the cactaur in Toy Box. Being in that play area made me feel like a kid again, I haven’t been in one of those spaces in so long and it was nostalgic and just so fun to crawl through all of those ball pits and tunnels to find those blocks. Lastly, there were finally citizens in the worlds! Mind you, there were kind of like maybe 5 designs at most that got repeated over and over... but still! It was a vast improvement from what we’ve seen in recent years.
Dialogue & Interaction. Let me tell you how excited I was that there was FINALLY DIALOGUE WHILE EXPLORING! It was so fun listening to the trios conversations and funny quips. Of course, “Look, it’s a lucky emblem!” and “This looks like a good spot to find some ingredients!” did get annoying, especially when I couldn’t find where the heck said things were, but I think an update calmed those exclamations down because I heard them a lot less during my 2nd playthrough. Adding the selfie function the gummi phone? BEST. DECISION. EVER. I had so much fun taking selfies with the various Disney characters and seeing what their reactions to the camera were. Of course, characters like Hiro & Honey Lemon knew what a camera and a selfie were, but Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff? They were just like ummm do I smile for this thing? Okay!!! And then there’s Mike and Sulley who make especially funny faces for the camera. It’s just all around a blast. Moving on to cutscenes, I know there’s been some debate about the voice direction but my personal opinion is this game is the best it’s ever been. The conversations and especially jokes (thank god) finally sound natural. In the past, things have been either just really forced or really cheesy and I’ve just sort of been like “Oh, well it’s Kingdom Hearts/it’s Disney, it’s gonna be cheesy.” But like there’s a right way to be cheesy, and the moments I’m thinking of... aren’t it. KH3 did it right. There’s still a few things that were rough around the edges, like Sora’s “unforgettable... like your face~” to Donald lol it was still really funny but it was also just like “oh my god you nerd”. Also all the jokes about Sora not being a Keyblade Master yet came off as just mean spirited to me, but that’s another subject entirely.
Character Moments. KH3 gave us a lot of what we had been waiting for. Aqua’s reunion with Sora and Riku, the boys she met on Destiny Islands so long ago. Her long awaited return to the realm of light. Aqua and Sora waking Ventus up from his long, deep slumber. Terra’s redemption and reunion with his friends. Aqua, Terra, and Ven getting to see Eraqus again and saying goodbye. Kairi and Lea becoming keyblade wielders (officially). Kairi and Xion facing off in battle. Xion and Roxas brought back to life as replicas and their reunion with Axel/Lea. Sora and Kairi sharing a paopu fruit. Sora and Namine finally getting to talk (at least, somewhat). Namine getting a body through a replica. The return of org members who had vanished after CoM & KH2 (Marluxia, Demyx, Larxene, etc). The return of Replica Riku. Others I’m probably forgetting lol.
Reveals & New Info. With the end of a saga, we have some mysteries finally answered. Of course, this game is also setting us up for a new saga, so we’ve also got a lot of lose ends. Luxu is revealed as Braig/Xigbar. The Master of Masters is shown in the secret ending after vanishing for thousands of years, but who are they? Not to mention the foretellers managed to show up after also being absent for a long period of time as well, minus Ava. What’s she up to? Who’s Yozora and why did he show up as a video game character in Toy Box but also in the same world as Riku in the secret ending? Nomura-san says that the Shibuya shown in the secret ending isn’t the same universe as TWEWY, but why bother introducing the characters and Shibuya itself if it’s not going to tie in later? What exactly is happening at the end of KH3? Is the group looking out over the ocean or looking at the tree where Sora and Kairi are? Are both scenes happening at the same time or at separate times? Why exactly does Sora vanish? What are the exact stipulations and reasonings behind all the warnings Young Xehanort gave Sora? There’s so many things I am so eager to learn about and I can’t wait for DLC and/or the next full game.
The Story Is Not Over. We’ve got DLC coming to us, and from the sound of it, a decent amount of it. At least, enough to keep us satisfied until the next game. And please, no “they should have sold us a complete game” comments. They said multiple times they had to cut content in order to release a game that fit on the disc. Also remember, KH2.8′s Birth by Sleep 0.2 -A Fragmentary Passage- was originally supposed to be the INTRO of KH3. If they fit all the content they wanted to fit into KH3... we would probably be looking at a 2, maybe 3 disc game. Anyway, good things come to those who wait, so that’s all I’ve got to say on that.

The sky’s importance on Dr. Stone.
[This is a long post, you’ve been warned. Also, sorry for that T-T].
Have you guys noticed how much Inagaki-san and Boichi-sensei love to portray the character’s emotional state through the weather/sky? Specially Senku’s’, or so I think...:
When Senku was desperately wating for Taiju to “des-petrify”, it was raining.
Same as when Senku died and his friends were trying to revive him, it was also raining (to make those scenes similar and stand out both Taiju and Senku’s friendship, trust in the other and desperation for each other’s well being).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Senku needed electricity. It was as if the sky was helping Senku and gave him one last thunder for the magnet, but it also helped Gen to scare Magma a bit when he tried to stop them -which could have ended worse than it did. Magma ultimately attacked Gen, but it was at night and Senku wasn’t with him. That’s why I say “specially Senku’s emotions”.
Tumblr media
When Hyouga and the other thugs of Tsukasa Empire attacked for the first time the village. This not only helped them put on an act that convinced then to attack the next storm, but the wind also saved Suika indirectly carrying the sulfuric acid against the bullies -of course both of these things wouldn’t have been possible without Senku’s intervention, like, Suika herself could have died.
Tumblr media
Suika was the ultimate MVP for finding the stone they needed to make the mobile phones, but... it was the sun’s first ray which drives Senku’s attention to this stone and told him which one it was. Again, it was as if the sky was giving him a clue.
Tumblr media
Also, and an important point, the starry night sky feels calm. When it is shown in the series, it’s always a moment of calmness/emotional fluff: chibi Senku with his father looking at the moon, the onsen Taiju/Yuzuriha romantic moment, Senku telling Taiju to sleep ‘cause being awake would just tire him out (thus, worrying about him), the telescope/birthday moment, watching the first dawn of the year with everyone on the village... AND one of the most important moments for Senku which I’ll leave for analize later.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally, not really important maybe, but when the sun is up, or in other words, when it is day, it’s working/thinking moment. Senku revived one ordinary morning of spring(it seemed... also, I think Inagaki choose April 1st because it marks the begginig of many important things for the japaneses, such as the school years or the sakura’s flowering season), when he investigated the petrification, when he’s working with his frriends and the villagers (or for putting them on his side LOL), etc. Ordinary stuff, to summarize.
We also had sunsets for nostalgic feeling and snow sky for the special night of Crhistmas and, curiousl enough, they feel pretty determined to achieve their goals :3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Episode 1).
Tumblr media
(Episode 26, last of the first season).
Like, OMG.
I like to think this is not casual. And this might be going too far, but I also like to believe that this is some way to show that Byakuya (who, we could say, is in the sky’s heaven, following religion) is still helping his son. His son, who also happens to look at the stars softly and still wants to go to the space... which now is also a place nearer him... (again, following religion even if Senku probably doesn’t believe it and just like a “feeling thing”, IYKWIM)
Tumblr media
Ah! And this is a moment who’s worth of a special mention. The moment I was talking about before: Senku crying at Byakuya’s “grave”. Another starry night sky moment.
Tumblr media
Now someone could argue that it must be raining, since rain is usually portrayed as to represent sadness and all… but in this series, rain/storm is often used for desperate, action situations more than anything. Here, Senku was ovbiously mourning his father’s dead after having emotionally realized what that meant, but it was no agitation, and listen because that is the clue word: it was sad, but it was a calm sadness.
[On a side note, you can skip this, it has nothing to do with the reflection I was doing BTW, I still think he actually pushed his feelings a little, maybe because he “had to do other –logical- things now”, but most probably because he’s a shounen anime main character who has to act cool LOL... (look, I’m not complaining of this kind of characters, I love them and Senku is one of the more emotional “cool characters” I have seen in anime notwithstanding… but I AM saying that this series is NOT logical about the characters emotional reactions LOL. Just think of how well Taiju and Senku took the petrification thingy –OR, you know, even being all alone for 3700+ years and just… thinking, and that actually NOT driving them mad. And LOL, yes I get it, it’s anime phantasy logic after all xD). Yuzuriha’s reaction was far more credible, both the moment she opened her eyes and the moment she opened her eyes, and you know what I mean by that… xD].
But let’s continue with the analysis or I’ll go around the bush.
So, Byakuya’s name means “100 nights”, while Senku’s name means “1000 skies”. Isn’t it suspicious that the moment Inagaki and Boichi chose for Senku to visit his father’s grave was just a calm, starry night sky? It fits them SO DAMN WELL, for their names and for both’s dream or reaching and traveling through it... Night… Sky… (or “how you actually see the sky outside of the Earth”, combination of both names), it’s almost as if they were trying to draw our attention to the sky, quite literally because there was this scene when the reader’s pov was watching Senku’s back from below and we can watch the sky perfectly, with the light of the full moon shining in the middle of the darnkess and all…
Tumblr media
What’s more, if you guys follow my way of understanding what the sky means in this series, which for me is a representation of Byakuya somehow, it fits as well!: it keeps calm, as if accepting Senku’s feelings, but also so full of patience and love and fatherly calmness as if it were his father’s spirit itself trying to say “it’s ok” to his son...
Of course, this is not implicitly shown, it’s just me trying to interprete the art in an abstract way, so it’s just a theory of mine and I can totally being mistaken. But I just LOVE watching it like this, I’m being self-indulgent :’3.
So.. that’s it, guys. What do you think about it? I have to say I haven’t read the manga yet, so maybe in the future there are several moments that can finish this interpretation, but... I thought of it and felt it would be nice to share with you and see if someone wants to believe this too. I adds emotion to the scenes, or at least for me ^^ But feel free to disagree and prove me wrong if you want, this is just me being paranoid LOL
.
.
.
I LOVE to think about some random scenes of a series I like and them BOOM. I find my own interpretation, or sometimes realizing something the autor actually wanted to subtly portray, that actually changes how I view those same scenes the next time I watch them…whether I’m wrong or not.

Perhaps The One Thing I Actually Regret
Disclaimer: trigger warnings include: depression, eating disorders and suicide. I guess PTSD as well even though its not explicitly mentioned, it is implied.
Hello, my (nick)name is Fry, I'm 23 and I'm a year away from graduating from Vet School. This information is important, I'm not just offering my presentation card.
So, quarantine *claps* the big amount of time I've had ever since...elementary(?) And ofc I've had plenty of time to do a lot of things I've wanted to do, as well as procrastinating others *avoids looking at the pile of unread books in my room* and pretty much my favorite hobby has been catch up on manga, watch anime I've had in my queue for ages.
This is where Haikyuu comes in.
You see, I used to play volleyball in high school. I did a lot of things growing up (horse riding, basketball, kick boxing) Volleyball was the one sport I did for the longest time and the one I enjoyed the most. At the time, my life what a shit show. School hours where the worst, I hated all of my classes, I was friends with probably the two most toxic people I've ever met, my self esteem was 8 ft underground, I had an eating disorder and at some point, I was suicidal. I am ot lying when I say I can hardly remember 50% of my time in highschool. (Chronic stress, man)
However, one thing I do remember was the time I spent training volleyball. I remember each and every face from the team, I remember which faces were good at what and their positions (I always sucked at names akdjsjf except for Patricia 😭💕 my first girl crush and coming out story, but thats another topic for another day), I even remember this guy I had a crush on who wasn't on the team, but his sister was and she she drived so he'd wait for her during her training before returning home. I remember the coaches and how they all were related (grandfather, father and son!), I remember getting crazy excited when i bought my first volleyball and knee pads. I still remember the entire 40 minute warm up, step by step.
Clearly, these two hour training, three times a week was the best part of my week during highschool. So much I actually had a generous lunch before training despite my eating disorder bugging me. I liked to train and actually hated it when my blood sugar got low and had to take a break from training.
Because of reasons, I couldn't keep going training and playing with that team (which was outside of school) so I decided to join the shoool team. The coach was this crazy strict woman, I never felt so fit in my life, her training was HELL and I loved it. However, in my last year of highschool, they switched coaches, and this new coach was an asshole.
I was a setter, and was the tallest girl in the team and also left handed. However, I was a terrible, awful, spiker. I could not spike decently to save a life. So all those three years I was a setter and/or defense. Until this asshole insisted that I became a spiker because I'm left handed. (If you dont know, left handed spikers are an advantage since all blockers are used to block right handed people, left handed players are always a surprise and is hard to adjust during the first minutes of match)
He'd constantly yell at me for my terrible spiking capacities (which i warned him of) and never allowed me to be a setter. I was a depressed and an angry mofo teenager, I left the team.
And since, I haven't joined a team again.
Now, university. You see, vet school is...not as busy as I'd thought. But I had all this burnout, I cut ties with this toxic people, and was trying to heal myself from all the damage I did to myself on highschool. I was antisocial and liked to be alone with my one friend, who's also a socially awkward mess. I had the opportunity to join the volleyball team and I didnt because I still resented this asshole coach.
And by the time I actually wanted to enjoy my university years, vet school had become busy enough. Not because of the homework (a little bit, yes), but because we were constantly visiting farms all around the state. I barely spend time on campus by this point (leaving little Miss quarantine aside).
So, I started watching Haikyuu, and kid you not, I felt this huge regret of not joining the team when I could. I somehow had burried all those good memories in my head and watching haikyuu made me remember why I loved volleyball so much.
I go out to the garden and empty street to play volleyball by myself, and sometimes with my boyfriend joins. Its very nostalgic and at the same time I feel really full and excited and happy. (And I am totally not crying while writing this ajdjsjf)
I should not have waited this long to watch haikyuu, and I should have joined the vb team when i had the chance. I still have a single term left (in case next term goes as normal) to do it, even if its for a single term, I'm gonna be very satisfied. (because my last term are professional practices, maybe I could if the doctor allows me to go training, the vet I already work at is a mile away from my school)
I rarely feel regret or remorse. I hate those feelings. I've always believed theres no point in regretting the past. Instead of letting those negative feelings make you feel bad, you should use them to sharpen your decision making and seek a way to make things better.
But this? I look back and realize I let an entire year (of enough free time at school) of actually enjoying what I like to do. Playing volleyball. And thinking about how the hourglass is slowly running out of sand makes me feel a little regret. Its time I'm never getting back. I let that oportunity slip like water through my fingers. It makes me wish I could turn back time and actually do something. Or tell Past!Fry to not be a whiny little bitch and go join the team despite liking her solitude and privacy.
I guess the reason why I am liking Haikyuu so much is precisely that emotional connection to volleyball and what it meant playing it. The memory of having to whole hours of me not worrying about my demons. Two hours in which I was completely able to fly freely. And I'm already crying way too much, I'm gonna stop writing now before I flood the room sjdjsnjee
Sorry for the long post, but this is something that has been on my mind a lot. Thank you for bearing my emotional rant.

Part: part one | part two | part ??
A/N: i stayed up till 3 AM writing this and i’m not sure if i should be proud or ashamed
The two of you arrived in Mykonos that same night, Steve thoroughly impressed with the house you commandeered. It was a gorgeous white penthouse with royal blue accents that overlooked the sea. You opened it up with a key that had always been located under a potted plant on the front stoop and welcomed him inside. “Wow...” He had wide eyes with a stupefied grin, the soldier still not used to any sort of luxury. “Don’t get too excited you haven’t even seen the balcony.” You smirked and pointed towards the glass doors across the foyer while stepping down a hallway to throw your bag in a room. “Who are your ‘contacts’?” He asked out loud and you chuckled from the bedroom. “That’s for me to know and for you to find out.” You bit your lip and pulled a white silk robe from the closet. It only came down to about mid-thigh with a deep neckline, and on your body it hugged every curve it was supposed to. The idea of him seeing you in the thing was exhilarating, but part of you wasn’t sure if it’d be smart to make that first move. You had been out of the game for so long and Steve was not any normal man. But then again, he had come to Mykonos, hadn’t he? You muttered a ‘fuck it’ and threw the thing on, only wearing a baby blue lace bralette and matching panties underneath. You made the platter, but now it would be up get a taste of the sampling. You walked back out and headed towards the open kitchen to see him still admiring the view on the balcony. “I know you can’t get drunk, but I’m having champagne. You want some?” You called out to him and he shouted back a ‘sure thing’ without looking back. You poured two glasses and headed towards the balcony, nearly being taken aback by the view as well. You had seen all the world, but even views like this could make you freeze at times. “Captain,” you greeted with a smile and handed him the glass of champagne while taking a sip of your own. He took the champagne and didn’t even register your outfit at first.
But when he did?
That ocean view was a thing of the past. You practically glowed in the white garment and his eyes couldn’t help but explore every inch of you. Sure, the both of you had seen each other in various states of undress but that was under highly different circumstances. Usually post-mission stitches and the such, or quick changes of disguise. But just seeing you on your own in an outfit like that? Steve felt guilty in partaking the view. He nearly swallowed his champagne, a blush on his cheeks. “Beautiful...” the word slipped from his lips but you were too occupied by the sea to notice. “Isn’t it? I can never get over this view-“ “I’m not talking about the water, Doll.” He responded in a soft tone which made your head whip back to him. You both had small smiles on your face and you took a gulp of your drink. “There’s pjs in your room too, I think.” You winked at him and Steve nodded with a chuckle. “Oh? I get a robe too? Might be a little short for me.” You scoffed but were quick to respond to his joke. “Are you saying that’s a bad thing? Mr. Rogers you are doing yourself, and me, a disservice by hiding that tush.” He laughed and stepped off the balcony to go to his room. You gripped the railing on the balcony the second he left with a giddy smile before downing the rest of your champagne like a shot. You then headed back to the kitchen to refill your glass, looking out on the luxurious living room with a sip. This place was practically right out of a magazine and you knew you’d be sending your contact some ‘thank you’ flowers. Upon checking the fridge you found a small fruit platter and decided to take it out, placing the thing on the coffee table in the living room before picking a corner of the couch to nestle in. And almost as if on cue, the super soldier walked in. Your jaw nearly dropped at the sight of him. Steve stepped out in a set of white silk pajamas, but while he wore the pants, he only chose to throw on the robe instead of shirt and left the thing wide open. Under the dim lighting of the penthouse and moonlight pulsing through the windows, his statuesque body and face were dangerously alluring. “The uh shirt didn’t fit.” He awkwardly got out with a lopsided smirk that could be read as nothing but innocently gorgeous. “Come get some fruit, Freak.” You joked and he rolled his eyes but sat down on the couch with you, popping a grape into his mouth. He comfortably stretched out his arms and legs before looking at you with narrowed eyes. “Speaking of your mysterious ‘contact’ that obviously left us fruit... I really don’t know as much about you as I should, do I?” He said and you paused halfway through biting a pineapple chunk. “I guess not... it’s not your fault though, I work for SHIELD, we’re kinda taught to conceal. But if you’re looking for information, I suppose you can do that as long as there’s some give and take. 20 Questions?” You shrugged, but inwardly found yourself shocked at your words. If anyone else so casually would have asked you about yourself you would have fled for the hills. But Steve was genuine in his curiosity in a way that made you feel safe. “Alrighty then,” he chuckled before rubbing his hands together and looking at you with a raised eyebrow, “where’d you grow up?” It was a basic question but the first one you calculatedly avoided in your first night with Steve Rogers back in New York. “Yeah? Alrighty, I grew up in Edgewater, New Jersey actually. Right across the water, Brooklyn Boy.” You laughed as his nose twitched up in disgust. “My Best Girl is from Jersey? I think I might have to re-evaluate our friendship.” He teased making you snort while also being unable to hide the grin that nickname brought you. “Wow! Jerk!” You playfully slapped his arm and nudged a little closer from the couch corner. “Hmm. I know you always talk about Peggy Carter, in the past, but did you guys ever...” You made a face and with your suggestive tone he rolled his eyes. “No. We never even kissed. But she was something else, trust me,” he had this nostalgic look on his features that could soften the heart of a stone man. “Never kissed?! Wait- have you ever kissed anyone-“ “Slow down there, Speedo! It’s my turn now. What about you? First kiss stories?” His arm now rested along the back of the couch on your side and he moved closer upon picking up another grape. “Ugh fine. But yeah, I got one. It’s not glamorous though, trust me... I was fifteen, riddled with acne and probably one of the biggest geeks in my high school. Which you will tell no one! But being a geek made my only options for romance other geeks. Me and this kid Norman Specks made out in the light booth during our school’s production of Romeo and Juliet. He had the biggest braces, it was so gross!” You admitted, drinking your champagne at various points while Steve could not feel any more endeared to you. It had to be one of the most honest confessions you ever told him up to that point and it only made him more attracted to you. The badass SHIELD agent who was also a theater nerd in high school. He laughed at the end of your story and you scrunched up your nose at him. “Don’t laugh at me! I bet yours was worse! Little pre-glowup, 5’4” Skinny Steve,” you shot back at him which made his face turn into a cocky expression that did something to you in a way you couldn’t perceive. “Actually, my first kiss was after the serum. Sure, I was 21, but this was a dame! She made out with me out of nowhere, but it was a pleasant surprise in the moment.” He recalled with a perfect smile. “My turn. Who’s your ‘contact’ for this place?” Your cheeks turned red at his question, but you were never one to back down. “You honestly wanna know? It’s a girl I hooked up with about two years ago when I was on a mission here. Turns out her family is super rich and she offers me the place whenever I’m around.” Now it was Steve’s turn to blush as his mind visualized the scenario. He saw you on top of a gorgeous Greek girl, both of your lips conjoined in a heated make-out session. But with a blink the image was gone as a worrisome blood rush headed below his stomach. “Yes, I like boys and girls. It’s nearly 2014, Mr. Rogers. Get with the times,” you joked, remembering how interested he was in the PRIDE celebration NYC now held every year. “But it’s my turn, and now I’m curious. Have you done anything since the ice? If you were 21 at your first kiss, I can’t imagine you had time to do much after considering the war and Peggy.” He shook his head with a smile and stole your champagne to take a big gulp. He couldn’t believe how observant you had to be to connect those dots, hell he admired it in a way. No wonder you were such a successful agent. “I have not actually. Too busy trying to understand the iPhone to be doing anything else.” He lightheartedly answered and you boldly moved closer to him, close enough to feel the heat radiating from his built torso. “No way! Well if you ever do get around to it, I know that lucky girl will be more than satisfied,” You suggestively quipped and his eyes shot down to your own. And that was when something switched, his precious blue eyes darkened and his voice became low and smooth like whiskey. “How about you? Any recent lovers?” He questioned, vision never leaving your own. “Not since I met you.” The words came out before you could even consider the meaning. “Why not?” His face moves closer to yours, warm breath fanning across your face. “Let’s just say, I’ve been craving something else. Someone else...” you let a finger trail up his torso, drawn to him like a magnet and forgetting your little game. You watched his eyes dip up and down your face, pausing on your lips. Your heart felt like it was about to beat of its chest, the close proximity making your mind and body lose all composure. “And who might that be-“ You cut off his question by grabbing his robe and crashing your lips onto his own. His lips are full and taste of fruit and champagne, and 70 years spent under the ice clearly did nothing to stop his ability. The both of you moved in a rushed rhythm, lips fitting together like puzzle pieces and yet sloppily conjoining in a manner that showed exactly how needy you both were. His warm hands cupped your face and separated the two of you for less than a second but it was enough for him to look you over and bring you back to him once more, this time meeting in more passion than the first. You moved your legs to straddle his waist and one of his hands slipped down your back, bringing your body even closer to him. Your hips instinctively grind against his own which let a moan slip from his lips in a manner that immediately makes you wet. His length is hard underneath the silk and he moves his hand from your cheek to your hair, lightly tugging on it with another moan. He broke away from the kiss again, meeting your face with flushed features, “[Y/n]... you’re okay with this, right?” Your chest warms at his words, oh what a gentleman. “More than okay,” you respond before dipping your lips down to his neck, missing how his eyes immediately closed in pleasure. You sucked at the skin, feeling his hand tighten on your waist as you reached a spot just below his collarbone. Without a second thought, you attacked the area, intending to leave your mark on the man you waited so long for. Though you could still feel his nervous rigidity as he refused himself from moving his hands any lower. You pulled away to reveal a purpling spot on his neck. “Steve...” your voice was breathy and your robe hung off one shoulder from your previously hunched over form which revealed your lacy bralette without even meaning to, “touch me wherever you want, Captain.” You felt his length twitch through the silk garments you both wore and he nodded, eyes dipping down to your nearly exposed chest while his hands slipped away the rest of your robe to only reveal the blue lingerie underneath. Your nipples were hard through the fabric and you watched his vision pinpoint on them. He reached up and grasped one of your breast’s in his hand while the other brought your face back down to his. He palmed your breast in his hand, squeezing and pushing in ways that made more heat spread below your stomach. “You’re...” your lips met in sloppy kisses, tongues swirling around in perfect conjunction, “beautiful...” Steve said through kisses and then slowed moved his hand down to your ass. It tightened around your soft form and guided your grinding against him, the both of you moaning into each other’s kisses and barely taking in oxygen. His hard erection against your clothed pussy nearly sent you over the edge, knowing that you were so close to him. You pulled away from him, standing up and taking off your bra, “take off your clothes.” You ordered and he did as you requested, tossing off the robe and pants to leave him in black boxers while you revealed yourself to him completely. You watched him slowly look you up and down like you were the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen. His brows then furrowed for a second, eyes clouding in thought until he got up and picked you up Bridal style as if you weighed less than a feather. Your arms wrapped around his neck and you let him carry you to his bedroom, nearly soaked by now in anticipation. He carefully placed you on the bed and climbed on top of you, slipping a hand down to your wet core and pushing a finger inside of you. A loud moan broke from your lips and you instantly dragged his head back down to you, but instead of meeting your lips he moved down to your neck. He fingers you while kissing and sucking all over your neck, leaving a hickey on a particular spot below your jawline which made you pull on his hair especially tight. It was like you were intimate with an Adonis, his sculpted body rolling and grinding against yours in shear perfection. He stuck another finger inside of you, thrusting in and out to the rhythm of your now constant sharp intakes of breath. You cried out when he pushed in especially deep and you dragged a hand down his abdomen to his boxers, sticking your hand inside and pumping his length against the cloth. “I want you,” he told you, eyes hooded and voice deep as he pulled his hand out of you too take off his boxers. His large length shot out and hit his stomach, pre-cum already dripping and glistening down his throbbing cock. You nodded up at him and open your legs up even more, he moves down while pumping his dick in his hands. Steve slides over you and slowly starts pushing into you, your hands tightly grabbing the sheets below you as he begins filling you up. You’re practically yelling at this point, the name Steve being heard by any who could be awake at such a late hour. Once he is fully inside of you, he leans down and takes your head in his hands, meeting your eyes and beginning to thrusts in and out of you. His eyes close in pleasure though and your hands reach up his back, scratching down the skin as his thrusts get faster. He whines your name into your ear causing your whole body to tingle underneath him. This goes on until you both orgasm, Steve progressively getting faster and faster while pumping in and out of you until you completely dissolve under his form, yells turning into screams of pleasure. And not after long, you feel him twitch inside of you, an almost inhuman sound leaving his lips when he cums inside of you. He thrusts a few more times before pulling out and plopping down next to you, leaving your body in an exhaustive high you’d never felt before. And sure, it was only missionary and you were by far an experienced girl, but it was Steve. Steve fucking Rogers. And that changed everything. His kisses felt like soft sparks of lighting and his hands were fire against your skin. You wouldn’t trade anything in the world for that. You cuddled up to his tired body, head resting on his chest to feel his rapid yet slowing heartbeat. “Was your first time everything you imagined?” You got out in a breathy manner which made him chuckle. “Doll, I wouldn’t have had it any other way.” His arm wrapped around you and the two of you fell asleep, breaths intermingling in the tropical air like you were in your own little world.
And this was only the beginning.

The guy goes for more cranberry juice and Koushirou notices, "No spirits?"
He laughs. "Not today." He rubs at his rich brown hair. "Took the short straw today and got saddled as the D.D."
"Pardon?"
"Designated driver," he laughs. The guy’s eyes lock onto Koushirou's neck and he looks down, too, only just remembering the gaudy lanyard. His cheeks feel even hotter, especially as the guy reaches forward and plucks the fluffy pink strap up into the air. He rubs it for a second and quirks an eyebrow.
Koushirou just wants to spend as much time with his best friend, Mimi, as he can this summer even if it means spending half of it carting her around to party after party. Falling for the hot guy who seems to keep cropping up at all said parties? Not in the plans. (But also not not in the plans).
“Miyako invited a lot of people,” Mimi informs him part way into the ride. The flat of one of her heels clicks on the carpeted floor, and Koushirou doesn’t know if she’s excited or intimidated. “It might end up being like a mini high school reunion,” she continues.
Koushirou meets her eyes briefly before returning back to the road. There’s nothing this far out except trees and fences. He wonders the logistics of deciding to move so far away from the city that not even street lamps will accompany them home.
Mimi touches his arm gently, and he can see in his peripherals that she’s still watching him. “You remember Jyou, right?” Her tone sounds higher now, and Koushirou decides that she must be, on some level, excited.
“Of course,” he says. A sign says they’re passing a golf course, but Koushirou doesn’t know what the speed limit out here is and, well, one of those is more important. “I haven’t seen him since graduation.”
“Me neither!” Mimi squeals. “I didn't even know he was back in Japan! But Miyako said he RSVP’d.” She puts a hand over her heart as if she’s making a pledge and Koushirou can only quirk a half smile before looking fully at the road. “Which you know means he’ll be there. Jyou never says he’s coming and doesn’t come, right? Right!”
“Indubitably,” Koushirou adds in, unnecessarily. He checks the GPS on his phone, mounted on the drink tray and resting back against the car’s stereo system. He’s surprised the satellites are still connecting out here, but they’ve hit under the mile mark left on their journey so Koushirou reminds Mimi to keep her eyes out for the balloon assortment Miyako assured them in her invitation would be present to greet them. Instead, Mimi shakes his arm again.
“Oh my God, wait! What was the thing he liked again? Star Treks? Or the Star Wars?” Koushirou looks at her just as they come up on a stop sign to see her wrinkle up her nose. “It had the green person who talked all funny. What was it again? Yodels?”
Koushirou titters. He’s lucky enough there’s not a line up behind them by the time he pulls his foot off the break and continues straight on.
“God, after this week I need a shot,” Mimi moans, “once we’re inside.”
“First order of business?”
Mimi laughs. “Indubitably.” A moment later she smacks at his arm, the same bubble of energy that had tempered returning to the surface as she points to a grouping of balloons not too far from them. “Right there, Koushirou!”
He takes the turn as easy as he can. Miyako’s driveway is, thankfully, long and accommodating for the build up of cars having already arrived before them. Some have taken to parking up fully on the lawn, but Koushirou settles for just pulling up a little off the gravel road. Mimi’s already popping open the passenger door and shucking off her heels for the inevitable walk across the grass and dirt, and he can already hear her complaining about how unfortunate it was to get a pedicure before all this. Koushirou kills the engine and waits for a moment.
When she looks back at him, Koushirou thinks to say, “Don’t talk about the  Star Treks , Mimi.” He has to train his face to stay straight when she pulls an exaggerated pout at him and continues with, “But if it does come up, just remember to make this noise.”
Koushirou throws back his head and lets out a gargled yowl in mimic of Chewbacca. It’s a poor imitation, he knows, but he’s honestly impressed with himself that he doesn’t double over in laughter during his show. Mimi’s lips are puckered to one side, her face very clearly showing  she isn’t as impressed.
“Trust me,” he pushes on, keeping his lips tightly together to keep from laughing between words, “people will find it endearing.”
“I’m already endearing,” Mimi sniffs.
And well, “Of course you are,” Koushriou agrees.
“Let’s go get me that shot.” Mimi smiles at him now and pulls herself out of the car, letting the passenger door slam shut. Koushirou follows suit, making sure to lock up the pink Maserati. Out of habit, he hands Mimi  back the lanyard of keys.
Miyako is a receptive hostess from the moment she opens the door, ushering them up the main stairs after accepting their gift of the wine they’d picked up on the way over. Koushirou wonders if Jyou’s already here, and if he’s already given Miyako the lecture on buying one story homes.
“It's better for your knees!” Jyou would always tout when the subject came up. And sometimes when it didn’t. It is odd now, to feel nostalgic for it, when mostly they’d been wasting lunch hours together in the library. Koushirou wonders if Jyou will sit with him for the party, or if the years had ebbed away at his social anxieties.
Mimi, no doubt, will be the life of the party, easily inserting herself in and out of groups as she pleases.
“Drinks are on the balcony,” he hears Miyako relay. Mimi bounces exuberantly behind her and Koushirou follows on their rear.
Some of his shared co-workers with Miyako are already huddled together on the couch, fitting more than the recommended amount of occupants, Koushirou assumes. It makes him think of pack animals, a vain attempt to survive in an uncertain world. Koushirou just worries, because there doesn’t look to be much more furniture to sit on. He makes sure to give them a nod of acknowledgment whenever he meets one of their eyes on his way past.
Miyako points out important information on their way, such as the downstairs bathroom and the kitchen. On the back deck Mimi rushes straight to the folding table transformed into a bar and quickly fills a shot worth of liquor into a cup, handing it off to Miyako before making another one for herself. Koushirou hurriedly fills one of the solo cups for himself with the only mixer available— the cranberry juice he'd specifically chosen at the market on more than a hunch that it’d be the only alternative to water and booze all night. It tastes tart all the way down, but Koushirou continues sipping on it anyway.
“Congratulations,” he tells Miyako who beams back at him. Mimi whoops and the three of them share in a toast.
“It’s very lovely,” Mimi tacks on, wincing after tipping her whole shot back. “I can’t believe this back yard.”
Koushirou snorts. It is very much like Mimi, who’s backyard could fit a helicopter pad or two between the olympic sized pool with room to spare, to sound absolutely sincere.
But it is actually lovely, Koushirou has to admit. He leans against the banister and Mimi slides up to occupy the space beside him, warm and electric as her presence always is. Koushirou takes in a breath of fresh air and for a moment he can understand why Miyako would choose such an out of the way place. The yard itself is expansive, running right into a forest. A few party-goers have already made their way down to the yard, dotting the lawn with their beers in hand. A small fire is lit in one those pits Koushriou’s seen at the local hardware store, kitchen chairs set up dangerously close to the edge of it for people to sit on.
“I might put in a pool one day,” Miyako tells them. She points at an open patch of grass and Koushirou can imagine it. "I can have a big family here," she sighs, dreamily. "One day."
“Sounds perfect,” Mimi breathes out.
"Oh!" Miyako exclaims a minute later, hand grabbing for Mimi’s from the railing, "let me show you the closet! It's walk-in!"
Mimi, who has  several , bounces behind her enthusiastically. She twirls on her heels at the door and comes bounding back towards Koushirou. "Before I forget," is all the warning he gets before she showers him in metal and pink— her gaudy key lanyard now sitting on his neck. Mimi winks at him. "Always looks so good on you!"
Kouhsirou rolls his eyes. "Just go," he groans. Mimi giggles and does exactly that.
He takes in a shaky breath the second the sliding door closes behind her heels. Barbeque wafts up from below, and Koushirou wonders if they'll be having hot dogs or skewers for dinner and he'll be able to stomach either option.
He settles up against the banister to watch the yard below, the lanyard jingling whenever he moves. He doesn't mind the weight of it, the responsibility tethered quite literally to his neck. Koushirou just wishes Mimi's taste was less gaudy. He makes sure to grab the cranberry juice to sit with him on the ledge for now.  Just in case.
Koushirou spends a good portion of the early evening just watching the sky, already drenched in a relaxing rose-lavender shade, ignoring the people only stopping by for their drinks or dropping off another bottle of  something . Koushirou keeps his ears peeled only for Jyou, or perhaps a co-worker who might pull him into their comfortable cocoon.
It's still bright enough out, yet the flood lights pop on just below the deck. Some of the drunk people below cheer. Koushirou lets out a soft chuckle. It's enough of a distraction that he's caught quite off guard when the sliding door clicks open with a loud, "Don't get too drunk, Hikari!"
"I'll be fine," a feminine voice monotones back.
"Okay," the male says in a way that suggests he doesn't believe it actually will be.
Koushirou keeps his eyes trained on the fire pit below, watches through several silhouettes as it pops and fizzles. He wonders if he should find a spot at the fire and pretend to be drunkenly fascinated with it so people won't assume he's completely weird. Koushirou's body temperature had always run on the colder side, anyhow, and he thinks the light jacket he'd brought along might not be enough after all.
"But if you puke on mom's shoes again, I am not covering for you."
Or maybe Koushirou could run back home and grab the laptop he promised Mimi he wouldn't bring, then find a comfortable corner to work in.
Koushirou hears the pop of a cap as one of them pours something to drink. The girl makes a scoffing sound in her throat. There's a pause before Koushirou hears the hissing of more liquid dropping into a cup. "I'll be fine, Taichi."
"Sure," he says, sounding still very  unsure . "Just know I can't explain to mom why the cat's vomit smells like liquor again."
Koushirou breathes in, a vain attempt to keep from snorting out a laugh. If anything slips through, he thinks the girl's giggle is loud enough to cover it.
"I'm going to give Takeru his drink now," she says and the door slides back closed.
Koushiro lets out a sigh.
"I see you’re hogging the good stuff," the same male voice says much too close and Koushirou jumps. The guy taps the jug of cranberry juice next to Koushirou. "Can I steal some from you?"
Koushirou stares.
The guy smiles at him and lifts up his empty glass. Koushirou fills it, returning a less easy smile back.
And that should be it, the end of their story, but the guy takes a long sip, smacks his tongue loudly and asks, "So how do you know Miyako?" After another sip he adds, "Aside from the fact that Miyako knows everyone."
Koushirou takes a precautionary look behind him, just in case there's someone else there that this man could possibly be conversing with. The only thing behind him is an unoccupied hummingbird feeder.
"We work together," Koushirou answers finally. "But we were also friends in high school." Sheepishly he adds, "We were in computer club together."
He takes his own sip of juice, tipping it back. He has to refill his glass. The guy, kindly, holds Koushirou's cup when he needs two hands to hold up the carton.
"Miyako's more of my little sister's best friend," his companion supplies when Koushirou doesn't ask. His cheeks heat up. Decorum was never his strong suit. "But you know her. She's very…"
"Affable," Koushirou says with a nod. The guy grins back and it is a lovely smile. Koushirou looks down in the red well of liquid in his cup.
"Right. So I guess she kind of just made herself one of my friends, too."
The guy goes for more cranberry juice and Koushirou notices, "No spirits?"
He laughs. "Not today." He rubs at his rich brown hair. "Took the short straw today and got saddled as the D.D."
"Pardon?"
"Designated driver," he laughs. The guy's eyes lock onto Koushirou's neck and he looks down, too, only just remembering the gaudy lanyard. His cheeks feel even hotter, especially as the guy reaches forward and plucks the fluffy pink strap up into the air. He rubs it for a second and quirks an eyebrow.
Koushirou grabs at the part just below his fingers and jingles the keys again. This earns him a grin. "I am also the D.D. tonight."
"Right on," the guy says and clicks his cup into Koushirou's. He has enough sense to take a sip, watching the stranger before him just over the rim of his solo cup. "I was honestly getting kind of worried that it was a feather boa and I missed the dress code."
Koushirou snorts. "I supposed I wouldn't put it past Miyako."
"Right?"
It is far past dusk before Koushirou realizes any time has passed between their ensuing small talk. Over his companion’s shoulder the sun has disappeared, leaving a trace of green and navy blue, surrendering a clear sky to the glow of stars that twinkle kindly in the eyes of the brunet before him.
The guy places his cup on the railing and smiles at Koushirou. “I’ve got to hit the restroom, I’ll be back.”
He leaves Koushirou with a salute and slips back inside through the sliding door. Koushirou watches him tap someone’s shoulder, and after a few gestures the guy waves in gratitude and vanishes easily into the crowd.
Koushirou breathes out. He knows more than anyone when people excuse themselves from conversations with him they don’t usually come back, so he deposits the cranberry juice onto the bar and follows the same path back inside. His group of coworkers have still grouped themselves together on the couch. The kitchen chairs are absent . Outside, Koushirou remembers.
He plops himself down on the carpet, out of the way of the people mingling about in the open living room. He stretches out his legs and clicks the tops of his shoes together.  No place like home.
Aside from one group, Koushirou doesn’t really know anyone else as far as he can see. He hopes Mimi comes by and finds him soon— that maybe they can leave— or Jyou will stumble upon him. Hopefully not literally. He takes out his phone to dwindle down the time until then, but it’s no use. Not even the data will load properly out here.
Before he can pick himself up to ask Miyako for her wifi password a now familiar voice says, “There you are, buddy!”
Koushirou blinks up at his companion from the deck, standing now in front of him with as gracious of a smile as he had the first time they spoke. He squats down beside Koushirou and plops the half empty jug of cranberry juice between them. He beams. “I think we deserve this.”
“Indubitably,” Koushirou says.
“That’s a good word,” the guys laughs. He pours himself another drink and falls slowly onto his rump. He sheds his windbreaker and lets it sit between him and the wall, the jacket an almost offensive lime green color against the polished cream paint.
Koushirou blinks again, not quite sure if he’s hallucinating the other's presence or not, but where their shoulders touch is warm and weighty and when the guy leans further into his space his hair tickles along Koushirou’s cheeks in a not so unpleasant way. “So which ones are yours?”
“Pardon?”
"Which kids are you babysitting?"
Koushirou scans every head littered about until he finally notices Mimi's bubble gum hair in a corner. "Over there," he gestures and notices, too, that Jyou has made it, the two of them immersed in their conversation by the far door frame. He thinks about waving for their attention, but decides better on it.
"Oh," his companion says. He points somewhere further off to the side and mentions, "Those two are some of mine."
Across the room Koushirou spots an attractive couple quite distracted with one another, and winces. "It's like watching the mating patterns of cannibals."
Unexpectedly, his companion laughs. It's swallowed by the start of music, something heavy and loud that pulses in Kouhsirou's veins, dizzies up his anxiety further.
"High school sweethearts," the guy informs him, leaning in a little closer, speaking a little louder. "This only happens when they're drunk, I promise." He reaches for the cranberry juice and swishes around the last of its contents. "Bet I could drench them in this before they notice anything."
Koushirou grins. "Better not. The males of that species are said to be particularly violent when provoked."
And the guy laughs. It is belly deep, and uproarious, and Koushirou cannot stop himself from joining in.
When they settle down he thinks to ask, "So what does one do at a soiree when sober?"
The guy moves his mouth about, looking pensive. "Collect blackmail?"
"Too white collar."
"We could dance? Start a trend and become heroes of the party?"
Koushirou frowns. He purveys the living room. There's not enough open space to even entertain the idea. The last time Koushirou had danced in public was back in elementary school, when he had been cast as one of the background dancers for the school play. Rehearsals had gone well enough, but then opening night came and he swung his partner right into a fake tree and took down half the stage, screaming kids and decorations.
As if sensing his hesitation his companion suggests, "Or we can people watch."
"Sounds enthralling," Koushirou comments.
"Oh it is," the guy grins. When he leans again Koushirou catches the faint scent of his cologne—something musky and earthy— just over the stench of alcohol and new carpets. He welcomes it. His companion points across the room, to a woman with a sheared bob. Koushirou thinks they're called a-lines, distinctly remembers Mimi crying about having to get one when they were twelve after the school bully spit gum in her hair. "Russian spy."
Koushirou squints. The girl sways on her heels, nearing five inches in additional height if he's guessing correctly, missing the beat of the rhythm completely. The look in her eyes suggests she's a little bit too gone.
"She's Japanese," Koushirou surmises and his companion titters.
"No, no that's what she  wants you to think. She was brought up by international spies to infiltrate this country."
Koushirou stares.
"You're supposed to make stuff up, you know?" His companion sniffs. "Like mini stories."
"Oh." Koushirou breathes in. Imagination, is also, not one of his strong suits. "So she's not from Japan. Fictionally, speaking."
"Exactly." The guy grins.
Koushirou's eyes fall back on the inexorable height of her heels and decides, "She stores all her gadgets in those shoes. Drives, fishing wire, cameras..."
"Holy shit, dude, your brilliant!" His companion beams at him. "Miyako knows everyone in the surrounding zipcodes, so the spy was hoping she'd be able to meet a prime minister or something here. Get access to his phone or laptop or something. But now she's too drunk on straight vodka and believes her own cover story."
Koushirou hits head on the wall when he laughs. "You are aware she's only drunk on straight vodka because we stole the only mixer."
The guy's face lights up, mouth gaping open like he's realized something important. "You know this means we single-handedly saved Japan with friggin' cranberry juice?" He holds up his fist towards Koushirou and it takes him much longer than he'd like to admit that he's looking for Koushirou to return it. Their fists meet in a short bump and the guy finishes it off with a soft explosion noise.
Koushirou grins and shakes his head, turning his focus back on the main floor. Another girl catches his eyes with a similarly styled bob and so be points her out. "Think she's working with the spy?"
The brunette laughs. "Definitely not. That's one of my kids. My little sister, actually."
"I see." Koushirou feels his cheeks heat up. "The one who puts waste in people's shoes."
His companion laughs harder at that, his own head scraping back against the wall. "You heard that?" He finally manages to ask, wiping at his eyes.
Koushirou doesn't know if he actually cried or not, but there's a smidgen of pride beaming in his chest for making this man laugh so deeply. He can't contain his own smile. "It was hard to not eavesdrop a little. I apologize."
"Nah, buddy, it's fine. You'll be my witness if she tries to wheedle her way out."
The brunet points out a group of people on the far end of the living room. "How about them?"
Koushirou recognizes the gaggle of his co-workers, having now drunkenly abandoned their homebase to awkwardly dance in a corner out of the way. One of them, Zoe, has got her signature Staying Alive move going on.
"Aliens," Koushirou decides.
His companion guffaws halfway through a sip of his drink. Luckily none of the liquid drips past his chin. "Aliens?"
"Absolutely," Koushirou asserts. "They've been studying mankind for decades now, but all of their research is outdated. See her?" He points out Zoe. "Learned that from American 70's dance programs." That part didn't really need imagination. She had told him that specifically once, at the annual christmas party. The first, and the last one, Koushirou had gone to.
The brunet smiles tightly, in a way that reads like he's holding back something mirthful so Koushirou continues, "They see dancing as a human mating ritual, just waiting to capture the perfect specimen to entrap and take back to their planet tonight." He makes sure to catch the guy's eye before adding, in as serious of a tone he can muster, "Be careful on your way tonight."
Koushirou takes a sip of his forgotten drink, mostly a ruse to hide the redness no doubtedly evident on his cheeks. He knows this is it, the line of  too weird , and he crossed it all too bravely.
But the man doesn’t leave, and instead asks, “Where have you been all my drunkless nights?”
Koushirou swallows and almost coughs on the tartness washing down his throat suddenly. “I’m sorry?”
“Everything you say is like gold, man. I can’t compete with that.”
“I just read a lot of science fiction… and some dissertations here and there,” Koushirou tells him discreetly.
“Yeah?” The guy rolls his shoulders around, careful not to jostle Koushirou’s own too much. He looks settled in when he turns his full attention towards Koushirou. “Do you watch anything?”
Koushirou doesn’t know how long they sit there, trading favorite movies and books, coming up with fake scenarios for their fellow party-goers whenever something springs to mind. He just feels that it’s far too early when the girl his companion had pointed out before comes to collect him, leaning down just enough infront of them and tucking her auburn hair behind a single ear.
“Yamato’s not feeling well,” she says, contritely. She smiles apologetically at Koushirou and then turns back to her friend. “Do you think you could take him home now?”
“Geez,” the guy says, huffing exasperatedly. He bounces easily to his feet and the woman follows him up, looking grateful. The brunet makes a round motion in the air with one of his fingers and tells her, “Let’s round up the troops.”
She thanks him quickly, gives Koushirou a little wave, and hurries back, presumably, to her boyfriend.
The guy runs his hand through his hair for a moment and lets out a small hum. When he turns back on Koushirou, his face is  beaming. “Sorry, buddy, that’s my cue I guess. I’ll see you around?”
Koushirou shoots him a smile. “I’m glad we got acquainted,” he says, and  means it, waving his companion off. He gives Koushirou a wave back, flashing a dimple-filled smile and disappearing into the crowd once more that night.
Koushirou settles back up against the wall and breathes in. His stomach aches from far too much laughter, and quite possibly an excessive amount of cranberry juice. It feels like someone had been pinning up his lips for most of the party that his cheeks, too, ache now that his smile has subsided.
Mimi finds him soon enough thereafter, a little wobbly on her feet, asking to go home and sleep.
“You seemed to be getting along well with Jyou,” Koushirou mentions, remembering how they’d been huddled near each other for the majority of the party whenever he’d chance a look. Mimi laughs, but it’s a small little breath. Koushirou almost misses it over the ringing in his ears, the beat of the music still throbbing in his brain even now that they're in the comfort of Mimi's car.
Mimi leans over the divider, resting her head on his shoulder and Koushirou almost reminds her how dangerous it is to be touching the driver, but he lets the argument die on his tongue and keeps to watching the road much closer.
“Jyou was talking about his time in America,” she tells him. Her breath this close smells sharply of liqueur and peppermint. “He’s going back, you know? To finish his studies to become a doctor. It’s a-maz-ing.” Her voice sounds sleepy, small, and Koushirou wonders if she’ll fall asleep like this, attached to his shoulder.
“Yeah?”
“We were—” She yawns, and that, too, reeks of alcohol. It is still chilly out at night, but Koushirou cracks open the window just a tad. “We were talking about meeting up, when he moves back there.”
Koushirou grips the steering wheel, keeps his eyes set ahead.
“Who was,” Mimi starts. For a moment he thinks she really has fallen asleep, her sentence only half formed, before she finishes, “The guy.The one you were talking to all night?”
Koushirou checks his rearview mirror. Mimi’s eyes are closed in the reflection, but there’s a coy smile teasing on her lips. A few cars pass by them on the other side, headlights bright in Koushirou’s eyes. He has to watch the white lines to make sure he doesn’t veer off the path, mildly wracking his brain for a name.
“I don’t know,” he finally answers.
Mimi’s arms wrap around his forearms, hugging him tightly. She yawns again. The first sign of  real civilization crops up— the traffic light just before they cross into the thick of the city. Koushirou’s ready to sleep as well.
“You were talking to him all night,” Mimi pushes. Out of habit Koushirou checks the clock. His stomach growls, having had nothing to eat.
“I didn’t ask his name,” he cements.
“Oh,” Mimi says, but it sounds like only the rush of wind. “That sucks.”
Koushirou swallows. “I suppose.”
"Maybe Miyako will know," she suggests.
Mimi’s already asleep when Koushirou pulls up to his own house. It takes some cajoling and tugging before she stands up on her own, legs wobbling like a baby deer up the stairs and finding his couch. Mimi doesn’t bother to change her clothes. Koushirou drapes the throw blanket over her.
“Good night, Mimi,” Koushirou whispers and turns out the light.

The 30 Day Tumblr Challenge
We are at it again bois.
Tumblr media
Day 3 - My Favourite TV Show/Series
Okay so I don’t know why I’m excited to tell you my favourite shows. I definitely have a few of my favourites, also cartoon shows and anime if that counts lol
Okay starting off with:
1. OnMyBlock
You guys don’t understand how obsessed I am with this show!! This is one of my #1 favourites and now S2 is coming in a few days like holy shiit, feels like we been waiting forever. Watching the teaser and seeing Ruby opening his eyes at the end at me jumping 😂. I mean if they were thinking of not putting Ruby in S2 and he died then I ain’t watching S2. But can I say that Spooky is is fine as hell 😍 But anyway I recommend you guys go watch it, it’s da best, if you into that teen drama.
Tumblr media
2. The Office
I love the Office, I always wanted to watch it from seeing memes on insta or Facebook all the time and now I finally got the chance too. It’s so funny and you just get every joke and just laugh. Also one good thing too is every episode is so entertaining and you don’t get bored. So if you wanting to find a new tv show to watch then come to this one. Another thing is that I love Michael’s personality, just trying to be the cool boss and even tho some episodes he can be annoying but then his very caring at the same time. Its cute how he finds everyone like a second family to him. Also can never get enough of Jim’s pranks on Dwight.
Tumblr media
3. Black Mirror
Gotta say this is a pretty interesting tv series, I thought it would be one of those shows that just drag on but literally every episode is different and has its own story. I like how some of the episodes try to connect to the real world and what we do in our society. Also the fancy technology in this series sis pretty impressive but same time don’t want that type of technology being invented now lol I would have to say one of my favourite episode would have to be S4 Ep 4 - Hang the DJ. I was so confused at first and thinking the couple were trapped in some sort of game or world but at the end when it was them in a simulation for a actually a dating app, just blew my mind. That it was the process of the dating app to find the perfect match was really impressive. Also there’s a few keys points on how we work our dating life in the real world. But I was also happy there was a happy ending not like it is with Black Mirror. Another one of my favourite was S3 Ep1 - Nosedive just because I could relate to how we get sucked in the social media world and not in the real world. I more based on the you know you always wanting so many followers on social media and all these likes on your photos from people who you hardly hangout. Just seeing people or friends more higher then you, you kind of get that feeling you wish you were like that. Another thing too is now a days we see heaps and heaaappsss of fitness models that really hit you with ‘I want a body like that’ It kind of puts your self esteem down and trying to love your own body. I mean yes some models do help and motivate you to workout and all that but you gotta put in a lot of work and I’m just too lazy 😂

3. The End of the F***ing World
It’s a very unique show I must say. Even though James intention was to murder Alyssa in the first place but I still love the relationship between the two even though it was an unusual connection. But James came to fall in love with Alyssa eventually. If it weren’t for that creepy dude he murdered then we probably would of had a different story.
Tumblr media
Okay now I’m getting into my favourite cartoon/anime shows
1. Tokyo Ghoul
One of my favourite anime series ever. Love a bit of action and gore which is what this series showed. Note that I’m not into the romantic animes, it kinda bores me. But honestly S3 was complete shit and was so confusing. Didn’t even connect with the last 2 seasons. But the other 2 seasons was 👌🏾 Noice.
Tumblr media
2. Berserk
Listen if you want a bit of more gore and action then you should watch this. Love this show, literally finished it in a day and a half 😅. Guts is the main man and is probably my favourite character. But just a warning the ending is kinda fucked up and dark but I literally kept watching in confusion because it just escalated so quickly. I even read a few articles on what the ending meant but I’m still confused but overall still love the show. Was sad that everyone died suddenly expect Casca as one of the remake movies showed she survived but was obviously traumatised and lost her mind. Then had a demon baby which was fucked.
Tumblr media
3. Rick & Morty
Gotta love this show man. Never knew I would like a show like this and understand all the humor 😂
Tumblr media
4. Regular Show, Adventure Time & Amazing world of Gumball
If you don’t know what’s these shows are then GTFO! Jks but seriously these are pretty much the best cartoon shows ever, especially on Cartoon Network. Literally watch these shows growing up but I had a little sister that would watch these shows with me and our dad didn’t like it because of the crude humor and so on. So I haven’t watch these in awhile and going back to them is so nostalgic. It’s sad that these 3 shows had to end. I mean obviously a show gotta end somewhere but still. It won’t be the same :(
5. Love Death + Robots
I got to say this is a very interesting series. The animation was amazing but I was gobsmacked at the CGI which looked soooo realistic in some episodes. Literally finished it in a day. I mean yes it is a bit graphic but overall it was funny, dark and imaginative. But I do understand the sexual violence towards women in the series but at the end they got their revenge. But to say Sonnies Edge was probably my favourite episode and hope we can get a series happening or I’ll be disappointed haha.
——————————————————————————
Okayy I guess I’m done. Idk why I was so excited to talk about this topic for some reason. But tbh I’m not really a huge tv show fan as I mentioned before sometimes shows drag on and it gets really boring and I just move on to the next show. I mean these shows above are probably the only ones I enjoy the most out of every other show.
A good example of a show that drags on is Riverdale, literally. I hate this show so much and idk how people are still watching it. First season was really good then it just got worst. I mean is it just me or Veronica is really annoying and being with Archie is even worse.
Also another show that pissed me off was Shameless! ughhh really ticked me off when Debby eventually had the baby and the way she acts so stubborn literally fucked me right off. You know when you watch a show and it just doesn’t go the way it should and then you just stop watching. Also Game of Thrones, I’m that percent of people that hasn’t watch this shit at all. I recommend if you haven’t watch this show then don’t start because literally every episode is an hour and there’s like what, 20 odd episodes in the 6S. So good luck if you gonna start. But I did watch the first 2 episodes of S1 but it’s kinda weird with the brother sister thing lol I should just make a post of all the shows I hate and why 😂
But anywayyy sorry if this was soo long. Didn’t think it would be and it sucked because I couldn’t put more gifs in haha But if your feeling bored then recommended watching a few of these bad boys I have put down but if you have any that don’t drag on and are actually worth watching and not boring. Then please tell because I don’t want to start watching a show and then get disappointed during it.
Alright then see you guys tomorrow for Day 4

ClexaCon: Day 2
Same deal as day 1: this is probably too long and detailed, and if you want the facts, you can probably get them from the official videos. This is more about my reactions and vibes and the like.
I dressed as Wonder Woman this day. It’s my only store bought costume, but I look great in it, and I finished off the look with tall (not not heeled!) boots and rainbow socks and brighter makeup than I usually wear. I looked good enough that the barista when I grabbed coffee asked for my employee discount; she assumed I was a performer at the hotel. I got great comments all day, a little overwhelmingly so, but it felt pretty awesome until I left the convention. CW for brief mention of assholes at the end of this post.
Nyssara
I met some cool people in line waiting for the “doors” to open for the standard attendees. We ended up sitting together while my Friday friends sat behind, since we had trouble finding six seats together, not too surprisingly.
I needed the intro video because as I’ve mentioned, I like my faves to be happy, and while I never ever doubted Sara loves Nyssa and vice versa, they didn’t exactly get happy times together on screen, and I wasn’t yet into Arrowverse fic when they were on screen. It was a good video. They’re both great actresses and can seriously crank up the intensity when the scene requires it. Any Nyssara fic recs are appreciated, btw.
The panel was good. It was fun, different kind of energy, something like nostalgic and speculative and silly. And Jes came through! Again, there are videos and gifs, so go do yourself a favor and look if you haven’t.
Of note to people following my blog, when asked her favorite one night stand of Sara’s, Caity’s first thought was of Snart, though she said she couldn’t count him since they hadn’t slept together. I think that’s just so awesome that the characters had that connection, and the actors according to what I’ve read, that even after years have passed, there’s still some sort of nostalgia or whatever because they were genuinely close. The actors and characters in different ways, but still.
More is More: Polyamory in Media
I’ve got some ot3s (ahem, Rogue Canary), but as far as real life, I don’t know much about polyamory. It’s something I’ve long thought works with the RIGHT people and the RIGHT communication, which makes it rare and challenging, and it has to be so hard for some people, like some of the ones in the panel who explained that being poly is, for them, the same as their sexuality; it’s a need, a wiring, not a choice or a lifestyle. It’s rare (or rarely talked about/seen) and so there’s not a big demand for more of it in media, but then the lack of representation means fewer people know it can be a healthy option, so it becomes a cycle, like so many things.
Most of the panel ended up the panelists sharing what it means and what it means to them to be poly or practice a poly lifestyle. There’s a big no-no/disparaging negative in the community regarding “unicorn hunters,” which I’d like to have someone properly explain to me but google says it’s usually couples looking for a third person who fits their needs without considering the needs of that third. It’s objectifying and not setting up for a healthy relationship and I get why that angle is negative, but I’m not sure why multiple people in that panel and then in a later panel seemed to use it to apply to anyone looking for the trio presentation rather than the open relationship presentation. Not complaint so much as genuine confusion there. So anyway, there wasn’t much discussion of the trio+ aspect I was most interested in, because I’m not planning to write or practice a relationship where the people in it date other people but I adore stable (usually potential) trios in media.
I still enjoyed it very much and learned a lot in the “I didn’t know I didn’t know this” category. My favorite part (though it also made me sad) was how excited and relieved the panel was about being in a room where they could discuss all this without judgement.
Bi+ Representation in Media
I adored all the panelists here. I didn’t learn much; the basic gist was “there’s not enough representation.” Still, it was cool listening to and watching a bunch of bi+ folks talk about their faves and what they’d like to see. I bought a book by one of the panelists and will do a rec post later if it’s any good, ya and lgbt and superheroes. I’m excited.
Romance Between the (Book) Covers
Sigh.
Okay, so…
I don’t think of myself as an amazing or particularly experienced professional writer, but I do feel like I could contribute more than a lot of the writing panelists, and I found that very frustrating. It wasn’t that they were all lacking experience or talent, to be clear, but it was that for most of them, their experiences or input were almost entirely unhelpful for new or aspiring novelists.
For example, there was a writer whose story was, “I’d never written anything before in my life but I decided to write a book and they published it so that was cool.” Another said she’s unique because she writes in first person, which she does because “it’s a lot easier to tell instead of show. And I know they say you’re not supposed to do that, but I think it works.”
I get that the expectations are different in the smaller market that is LGBTQ+ romance, but…
I don’t know. I feel like standards are important. That’s why I all but stopped writing while I’m struggling with words and with tying things together; I don’t care whether it’s original fiction or fanfiction, free or paid, I have standards for my work.
I also had my feathers ruffled slightly when the moderator asked the panelists, “Did you write heterosexual relationships to start out in order to get a foot in the door or earn money?” with a clear implication that there was no reason to write a m/f relationship other than for mainstream success. The one bisexual panelist low-key called her out but I don’t think she noticed, with an, “I’m bisexual so writing a male/female relationship is a perfectly valid choice for me.”
For one, yeah, there was a bisexual panelist and there was a huge bi population amongst the attendees, so that wording could have been more sensitive, and for two, I know plenty straight people who like to write m/m or f/f romance, so why wouldn’t that be a valid choice in reverse, for something other than a cash grab?
Personally, I mostly write m/f relationships because I started writing while still closeted, because that’s where my actual experience is, and because my go-to is still to write canon or canon-adjacent pairings and tv still likes to fuck up most of the few canon lgbt ones. That doesn’t make me less valid as a writer who is lgbt.
Mazikeen: The Devil in the Details
This was enjoyable. The actress says Maze is her spirit animal, which is awesome. I was pretty frazzled and distracted (people were saving me seats even though I SAID I’d be late and it was equally appreciated and discomfiting) and also trying to liveblog the panel to a friend, so I didn’t get as much emotional impact from this as the rest. It sounds like we probably get to see Maze with a real relationship this next season, so that’s exciting. It seems like a decent next step for her after the growth over the last seasons. I’m also suuuuper excited she and Trixie will be okay; they have one of my favorite relationship of the whole show.
Amber Benson: Tara Maclay and the Legacy of Buffy
Teeeeearrrrsss. Do me a favor; if you watch the video for this one, watch the behind the scenes one first. The intro video they played left very few dry eyes, and then Amber came out all teary and emotional.
The singalong was a lot of fun, despite “Under Your Spell” being notes most humans can’t hit.
There was one answer she handled with some unfortunate wording, but it was so clear she meant well and she’s such an icon, so she didn’t get boo’d like I was almost afraid of. There wasn’t much applause, but then we moved on. She was the only panel I went to that earned a standing ovation. I cried a lotttttttt.
And then I left the con to go change before having dinner with Friday friend. And people were gross and staring in creepy ways and there were homophobic comments made “accidentally” too loud and just bleh. It was a small thing in an otherwise fantastic weekend, but it made me feel like I needed to take a shower.

The Mermaid Star watches the Bleach Live Action Movie
(Note: I'm not very good at remembering names, so forgive me when I refer the actors simply as ex: "Ichigo's actor". Also, I am a very open IchiRuki shipper, but I will try to keep this as unbiased as I possibly can.)
First of all, I will admit that like most people, I didn't expect too much for this live action adaptation of Bleach. Not only because I knew live movie versions of animes almost never go well, but also because I did not particularly part ways with Bleach in a happy manner.
So when I first heard the news of the live action movie, I was not happy. This is obviously bait for Kubo and co. to see if there was still enough demand for Bleach to continue as a franchise And honestly, after that terrible last arc and the disappointing ending, nobody really asked for this. I honestly did not care for Bleach to continue on with the new generation.
Still, despite everything, I could not resist my curiosity as trailers of the movie came out. They looked pretty decent at the very least, the actors were a bit unexpected, but the effects were pretty okay. Somehow I wanted to give this movie a chance. After all, I did have quite a long history with Bleach.
And now that the movie's been posted early on Netflix, of course I couldn't resist watching the movie! So without further ado, here are my impressions of the live action Bleach movie:
The beginning part of the movie gave me a "Hm, ok." impression, especially the part where Ichigo first meets Rukia. I gotta admit that their first meeting was a bit underwhelming for me. But I suppose in real life, it would be unrealistic for the scene to go as comical as it did in the manga/anime. But then the fight with that first hollow came, and the pace began to move better. I was pretty impressed with the special effects for the hollows. Ichigo's sword could've been better, but I didn't mind it too much. I was satisfied with the way the scene went. Except for the part where they skipped Ichigo and Rukia's iconic first exchange of names. There were several changes made to the plotline, which were quite understandable, though there are moments where I felt that they're cramming a bit, especially the Grand Fisher part. Still, the movie overall was a surprisingly good watch, probably one of the better made live action movies from shounen animes/mangas. It didn't compromise too much with its storyline, and the essence of what made Bleach, well, "Bleach", was still there, which was definitely what mattered most. I especially liked the latter part of the movie where things began to get serious. Of course, I won't deny that there are several parts that could've been done better. But overall, it's a movie that satisfied me as a former Bleach fan, and something I would definitely watch again.
Ichigo's actor had moments where I wasn't fully convinced of his facial expressions. I think I've always had this impression with a lot of Japanese actors/actresses' mannerisms that they're either overreacting or too dull. Ichigo seemed to be the former at times. That said, I will not deny that he does have a lot of moments where he really becomes "Ichigo", especially during the fight scenes. I could've sworn that I could sometimes hear the original voice of Ichigo. He does bring out a bit of, say, a "kawaii" side to Ichigo, like the high-five scene which I wouldn't think the original Ichigo would've ever done due to his consciousness about his tough reputation. It's not a negative per say, but it does bring a different side of Ichigo to light without completely compromising with his character. His action scenes are quite well-done too, so I was impressed and satisfied with the actor overall.
Rukia's actress was initially not what I expected to be. Like Ichigo, I think this version of Rukia is a bit less guarded with her emotions, which is not necessarily a bad thing. She really did grow on me and has somewhat fit into the role of Rukia, she was able to capture the essence of Rukia's character even if their mannerisms are not totally alike. Her ability to make very believable facial expressions made me completely sold to her as an actress. I really think this girl will go far in the Japanese acting industry.
Ichigo and Rukia's bond was really emphasized in this movie, as it should be since it was the focus of the first arc and is essential to pretty much all the arcs and Ichigo's development. I initially had doubts about the two actors' chemistry when the posters and trailers came out, I wanted them to bring justice the most unbreakable bond in Bleach's story. Well, it turns out that these two have MASSIVE chemistry! I really couldn't help smiling and giggling at their interactions. These two acted so naturally with each other, I couldn't deny that these two were "Ichigo and Rukia" in the flesh. Those training scenes were probably the best thing they've added to the story, especially since it makes Ichigo's growth of strength more realistic and believable rather than just relying on pure power and adrenaline. You could really see how their relationship naturally grew even in that short amount of time; from strangers who had no choice but to begrudgingly work together, to becoming each others' close confidants who would do anything in their power to protect each other. I mean, all that "You could stay here in our world" and "I could be your friend" lines from Ichigo? All the times Rukia kept denying her attachment to Ichigo but then would state that she was happy to hear him say those words? OH MY HEART!!! I can never get enough of their scenes together! I've always thought that these two shine the most when they're together, and I'm really happy that I get the same feeling in the movie. I admit that I did get a bit emotional at the part where Rukia had to pretend to insult Ichigo and physically detain him in order to protect him from Byakuya, especially when she said that he would forget all about her after all this is done. God, the painful expressions of both Ichigo and Rukia! I could feel both of their pain at being torn apart like this. It's without a doubt that Ichigo and Rukia's strong bond was the main highlight of the movie, and arguably the best and most accurate element from the original storyline. It really made me nostalgic, so despite the fact that this movie could've been done better, I'm glad that this movie has somewhat become a reminder to us fans of how good the Bleach series used to be in the first part.
I gotta admit, I was also mostly impressed by Ishida. He was probably the most accurate to the original character, and not only did he look the part, the actor did a very good job capturing Ishida's mannerisms. I loved the Quincy arrow and bow effects too. I did think that his acceptance of Ichigo was a bit too fast, but I'll let that slide. I'm glad that Uryu at least had his fair time to shine in this movie, as he should have.
Chad and Orihime were pretty meh in the movie. They pretty much haven't contributed anyting important to the storyline, only being reduced to mere observants on the sidelines. Again, this is understandable because of the movie's limited time. Still, it is nice to see that these two were at least not cut out completely. I did kinda like the part where they showed Chad protecting their classmates using his strength, at least they didn't forget that he was naturally strong even for a normal human. Although I kinda thought his scene in the beginning of the movie seemed a bit random. As for the actor, I wished that they could've gotten a real Eurasian guy to act as Chad. But oh well, I think he did okay as Chad considering how small his role was. I also wished we saw a bit of a glimpse of Orihime's Shun Shun Rikka, maybe a bit of glimmer from her hair clips to hint their awakening powers. At first I was kinda disappointed with her actress when she was revealed in the promos, but she eventually grew on me and I saw her appeal. I did not like however how she was pretty much reduced to the moping lovesick girl whose only lines were most if not all just concerning Ichigo. I kinda missed her, well, ditzy moments which added to the comedy and light-heartedness of the series. It would've been funny to at least see Inoue bring some of her rather unique cooking to school. But again, even the original Inoue's vast imagination would not be realistic in real life, so that's fine too. Like Chad, I thought Orihime's actress did okay and was pretty enough to look like Orihime. Despite lacking Orihime's flowing locks, I quite liked her hair being brown and medium-length and pinned to one side, it made her look cute without looking immature. I'm a bit disappointed though to not see her and Rukia's friendship grow, which was supposed to be one of the reasons why Rukia became more attached to the Human World. Again, time constraints.
Byakuya and Renji were probably the most disappointing ones for me. At first I was really excited to see Byakuya, he looked really good in the promos. I thought his hair was done well considering how complicated it's supposed to be. But while watching the movie, I slowly grew more and more disappointed in their portrayal of Byakuya. He somewhat gave me this rockstar, swaggish vibe, instead of the refined, aloof aristocrat he was supposed to be. I understand that his actor was a musician. Still, I expected more from him, and I was let down. I did not like how he seemingly enjoys taunting Rukia and Ichigo when he's supposed to be inwardly conflicted about Rukia's sentence. I did like that one scene though where he was sizing up a weakened Ichigo, and while he did not say anything, you can see in his eyes that he recognised something in Ichigo's eyes that slightly changed his perspective of him. I'd like to believe that this is the scene where he realized how much Ichigo resembled Kaien, which gave him even more reason to kill him for Rukia. Renji is also another character who I did not appreciate very much in the movie. I wished the actor was a bit taller, more menacing. But honestly, he was not convincing, instead coming off as quite irritating, especially with his weird tongue mannerism. At the very least, I'm glad that they did the scene where he saw Ichigo's unwavering resolve to save Rukia, and was shown to be somewhat affected by it, and at least he seems more reluctant to kill Rukia than Byakuya. I've always liked the sort of "rivalry" Ichigo and Renji shared in the original series, and I think this movie portrayed it pretty well despite my reservations about Ichigo and Renji's respective actors.
I won't bother commenting about the other characters since my common comment for them is that their unique characters were reduced to pretty much ordinary people. It's quite disappointing, especially Tatsuki and Karin, but like i said multiple times before, it's understandable. I'm surprisingly also disappointed that Kon wasn't around even though I completely understand how useless he would be to the plot. Even just his lifeless doll being used as an easter egg would've made me smile. I missed that plushy perverted mascot. He deserved a lot more screentime ever since the Arrancar arc.
Overall, I'd score this movie a 7/10. A lot of work still needs to be done, but it was still satisfying enough for me. The heart of Bleach was there, and that's what matters most. It was definitely good enough for me to start rewatching the Bleach anime again (not the manga though) due to the nostalgia it brings. At the very least, it reminded me that despite the disappointing last arcs and ending, there are still enough good moments worth watching in Bleach.

I’m 21-year-old Hayakawa Seira from Osaka. It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance.
Are you feeling well everyone?
Since becoming September Tokyo has suddenly become cold.
Is it wearing long sleeves at night cold?
I’m not even wearing short sleeved pajamas I’m wearing long pants. The clothes I bought in the spring have become a little bit short and so I kind of want something that fits me nicely.
Recently I’ve been thinking that I’ve become a little bit more mature, and I’ve started to like fall.
I used to really dislike the autumn chill which felt like the end of summer but recently the reason for me to like autumn have increased because of things like ‘I want to eat pacific saury’ and ‘It’s not hot’ and ‘sweet potatoes’.
I want to eat pacific saury with sudachi and grated daikon! I also want to stuff my face with delicious white rice!
On top of that I want to dig for sweet potatoes! Mushrooms are also delicious, it’s definitely the season of good appetite ^ ^
 Ah!
By the way, I went to the art museum. It’s also the best season for enjoying art.
When I was in high school, I frequently went to the art museum by myself, but I haven’t been able to go much recently. When I went for the first time in a long time it was so much fun, it makes me want to go again. I like those moments when you lose all track of time while staring at a painting. Recently I’ve also been using the audio guides and it makes it even more interesting.
I promise you that I bought postcards that I didn’t intend to buy or use.
Right now, at the Tokyo National Museum in the Hyokeikan the ‘four seasons of Nogizaka46’ is open. If you’d like, please come and feel the autumn of art with Nogizaka46.
Which means, Tada!!

It’s cute isn’t it〜
This year I made it a simple “t-shirt showing not enough love’
It didn’t make it in time for the previous individual online meet and greet so if you like you can wear it to the next meet and greet with me!
The last online meet and greet was the last one for the 27th single. During this single as well I received many words of thanks from everybody. I was very glad, thank you very much.
Even though it’s just a little thing, there were many people that made me feel happy, many people that congratulated me, kindly asked if I was ‘okay’, they showed off Mother Nature for me, they showed or performed something to me, I can’t write about it all but the time that we spent together really cheered me up.
The first time we did the online meet and greet it was overwhelming and there were many things I couldn’t get accustomed to, but I was able to get through all of those things thanks to all of my fans ^ ^
I’m looking forward to having fun with everyone during the 28th single! Please continue to look after me〜
The last online meet and greet I was a,

[Ender’s Game AU] three’s a crowd [1/3]
AO3
I have no idea why but I haven’t written in months because I’ve been writing my undergraduate thesis. Stress built up so much I created at least three AUs for three different animes but I couldn’t write them because I got some sort of mental block on writing fiction?? And somehow I got even more stressed because I don’t write those AUs??? I dunno
But tonight I was feeling so stressed and desperate for an outlet that does not involve self harm, I tried my rusty writings. Here is one of my KnB AkaKuro Ender’s Game AU, though it’s about the children of Akashi household instead of the main couple.
If you guys have the time, please comment if my writing has gone wonky from disuse, I’d really appreciate it if you do. Enjoy <3
“I want to talk to Shougo,”
“I’m sorry ma’am, the Master of the House is not taking any unscheduled audience, please return when you have prior engagement.”
These men are stupid, Satsuki concluded with a huff of her breath. She rolled her eyes and stomped the ground, knowing full well that she no longer fit the image of a child throwing tantrum, but still…
Still.
“You guys are ridiculous,” she challenged, harrowing still. “I don’t need ‘prior engagement’ to talk to him. Now move before I kick this door down along with you bums.” This was why Satsuki hated being home so much. These men are dumb. Obedient, yes, but dumb. Why should she need appointment to see her number one cause of headache these days? It wasn’t like she wanted to kill him, or coax him into killing everyone in this goddamn planet, right?
Oh.
These idiots.
“Don’t you guys know who I am?” This felt ridiculous, utterly utterly ridiculous, especially since this is her home and they were standing using her family crest. The guards looked confused, but they held their ground. “The Master does not have any engagement with any military personnel today.” was the answer they gave her and Satsuki was downright confused.
So these people didn’t know who she was.
Has it already been that long?
No way.
Taking a deep breath, Satsuki groaned, absolutely annoyed. She would definitely chew Shougo out for not introducing her to the manor’s guard. This was her, and she was fairly reasonable, if Shigehiro came home and received the same treatment, the other would bring the entire Lancelot army and flay these people alive. She hadn’t slept since she arrived in-planet and she didn’t want to launch a rocket into her own home, but these people are grating her nerves.
Just before Satsuki was going to do she may (never) regret, the door creaked open and the Headache Reason Number 1 looked at her confusedly. “Satsuki? Why are you here?” Satsuki would have chewed him right here and now, but she hasn’t seen him in such a long time that she just slinked into his arms.
The guards were panicking, obviously rattled that anyone (a military officer, no less!) could be so brazen as to initiate an intimate physical contact to arguably the most powerful man on Earth, but Shougo laughed at them as he casually placed his arms under her thighs and carried her with practiced ease. “A-Akashi-sama!!” they spluttered as Satsuki buried her face on the crook of Shougo’s neck, inhaling the nostalgic scent of sandalwood and lilies, Shougo was an idiot.
Said Idiot then laughed as he dismissed the guards with a cock of his head. “At ease boys, if she wanted to hurt me, I’ll be dead in a second.” Satsuki hummed, agreeing without words. Yeah. Shougo was an easy target, that’s why he ‘s always so protected. Stupid.
“B-but, Master, she’s- the military-!”
“It’s fine. C’mon Satsuki, you’re obviously exhausted if you’re acting like this. Will Shigehiro be coming too?”
“No idea…”
As Shougo stepped inside the foyer, Satsuki could hear the guards surprised gasps when the disguise she put on got instantly disarmed the moment the manor welcomed her in. As Shougo brought her inside, chiding and scolding her about her surprise visits, Satsuki gave them a smile as they gaped over her utterly famous heterochromatic blue and red.
“W-welcome home, Akashi Satsuki-sama!”
Satsuki laughed.
--
Their family does not often take pictures.
This was a fact Satsuki lamented nowadays as she watched her crew often had a wistful gaze towards a picture they put up on their stations. The only picture she had of their family was one taken after Shougo graduated the academy, and that was a long time ago.
It was a simple photo, his fathers in their military uniform, Shougo in his academy uniform, and then her and Shigehiro in a simple gray dress and suit respectively. She didn’t smile, neither do her fathers, Shougo, or Shigehiro. The Akashi family was a military family through and through. They never smile or laugh in public, even when they are out as family.
And yet there were smiles from Papa, indulgent ones, exasperated ones, loving and wondrous and Satsuki remembered them all. Red irises full of warmth, watching his children playing or studying or sleeping Papa would smile when he thought nobody was watching. Shigehiro always noticed them, loved them, adored them, did everything he could just to have those smiles on their Papa’s face. Papa then responded in tune, smiling more often around Shigehiro even when he didn’t have to.
Satsuki noticed, though, that Papa’s smiles are often times done to fish a reaction out of Father.
Father was… different. He didn’t smile, not even around his children. Satsuki was not sure if Father smiled around Papa but she has been living for 24 years (give-or-take, ignoring relativity and stuff) and never once did she see Father smile. There were gazes though, so longing and tender and thousands of other adjectives that made Shougo weak behind the knees.
Her siblings always had their favorite fathers and Satsuki didn’t mind them. She wouldn’t pick one over the other. Father was as wonderfully flawed as Papa was and she was fine with that. They’re both humans, after all.
--
Satsuki did not have patience to deal with idiots, that was why she left earth on the first place.
Her crew, no, her entire fleet was composed of entirely people she thought smart. Wonderful, talented, saplings that will grow great with the right leader; Satsuki took mostly scientists and many military men and women who were tired of life on earth and was willing to do long expeditions in which they will never return from.
That had been the start, but since the invention of Zeta portals they could now visit their families on earth whenever they got into a planet that was advanced enough to do just that. But even then only a handful of people peruse the privilege. Most of Satsuki’s crew got on with their spouses, and those who didn’t eventually got together with each other. The Prometheus Fleet was a close-knit family that even the military recognized the dark jokes of their relations being incestuous. Satsuki thought they were being ridiculous, as idiots often are.
But Satsuki herself, she would peruse the privileges whenever possible (sometimes when it was impossible, Satsuki would make it possible). She would gave orders, let her scientists do the work as she smoothed all the bureaucracies, before then sauntering off to the available Zeta to do what she was doing right now.
Because Headache Reason Number 1, her dearest darlingest and most precious Shougo-onii-sama gets lonely so easily.
Shougo was an idiot, somewhat, so Satsuki by all natures did not have patience to deal with him as well. But Shougo was family and family was different. She had a soft spot for her family that borders on obsession, maybe. Satsuki preferred to be alone, mostly, keeping people at arm’s length and never playing close. She used to think that the only person she needed in this life was Shigehiro and Shigehiro alone. But Shigehiro, sweetest little Shigehiro who was the only member of Akashi family that could count as ‘normal’, and Satsuki’s younger twin brother, always told her that she needs everyone else too.
That had been years ago when they were little children playing hide and seek with Uncle Chihiro, nowadays Satsuki had more… family, so to speak. Shigehiro (of course, of course), Prometheus, her fathers, and unfortunately, Shougo is also included in the equation.
Not that Shougo would admit it, though.
But well, she supposed that she loved watching how Shougo grew up. He… changed a lot. He used to be so hardheaded and ill tempered, easily getting angry and quick to challenge people to a fight. There were days when she and Shigehiro preferred to not associate with their brother whenever the other was in particularly foul mood. Satsuki could still remember how Father would deal with him, by giving him silent treatment until everything in the (living, studio, dining) room got trashed in a tantrum. Then Father would hug him, in total silence, gave him soothing rubs and low hums while Shougo cried and melt.
(Not a smile though, never with a smile)
Nowadays, Shougo was… different. He was much kinder, mellower, and leaving the military probably had helped him as well. The military was not a place to show emotions, which was why it fitted Satsuki who was pretty much neutral to anything sans stupidity. But Shougo, the idiot still no matter how much he mellowed, left the military to be a politician.
It was… byproduct of situation and condition, actually. One she and Shigehiro still contemplate until this day. When her fathers disappeared (went on a very secret mission none but the upper echelons knew, officially), along with Satsuki’s appointment to Commander of Prometheus, there was a vacancy in the seat of power that was Akashi family’s head.
They had been public figures since birth, generations of their family leading the earth against alien forces that had tried to colonize them twice before the leader of this generation finally obliterated the race and managed to colonize other planets, establishing peace and harmony throughout the solar system for people of earth and people who had been abducted by the aliens before. Nowadays, there wasn’t anyone who didn’t know the name Akashi, and tributes from various planets are still sent to the manor on daily basis.
The name Akashi still struck fear and awe and gratitude and love and myriad of other emotions in people throughout the solar system, so there were no vacancies allowed.
Shougo was still in the military at the time, working as an instructor in school. And he was already on a one-month-notice so he could retire and try something else in life (Satsuki vaguely remembered that Shougo wanted to try being a volleyball athlete? Or something about an idol? She didn’t remember, Shougo was a bit weird) outside of the military. Shigehiro still won’t tell her the detailed story, but the one he told her was that he clearly and expressly told Shougo that he will never ever took the position as the Head of Akashi family.
(“I just can’t, y’know?” Shigehiro had said to her, frowning and shaking and absolutely rattled as he tried to face the screen that connected him and Satsuki in the first place. “I can’t take Papa’s place. Never.” Satsuki had smiled at him, because as much as she loved Shougo, Shigehiro would always be her main priority.)
So Shougo was appointed as the Head of the Akashi family, heralded and prided and not allowed to leave the military. Satsuki was livid and she was about to launch a rocket to those bastards of International Council of Nations to just, at the very least, let her brother leave the military that so clearly did him no justice, before cousin Hayami came with Father’s father (who was old and ancient, possibly the oldest man on earth). Former Admiral Mayuzumi Tsukasa had deemed the Council ridiculous by keeping the eldest Akashi son in the military when he so clearly wanted to be something else.
There were negotiations, talks and meetings done to determine her brother’s future. Around this time, Shigehiro found out that he wanted to study other planet’s culture and eventually went to travel to Mars.
(It was something Shigehiro regretted until today. Of how selfish he was to leave Shougo like that. Shigehiro once said that he was probably the biggest reason why Shougo got so easily lonely. “He thinks that his family has abandoned him.” Shigehiro had sobbed to the screen, it was the first time Satsuki saw him sobbing since the day Papa told him not to cry over small matters like dropping a vase.)
Satsuki tried to talk to her brother as much as she could during these times, because it was always up to her to fix whatever mess Shigehiro has done. Shougo would answer whenever it was convenient to him, smiling a lonely smile that was full of resignation. He explained, always, that he was okay and he knew his destiny and for her to have fun and stay healthy. Satsuki regretted the years she spent belittling Shougo for the passion he had for everything. She even once told him that if he kept that passion he would never survive the military, won’t ever rose to the ranks like she did, all because Shougo’s passion would mean that he would be easily hurt because he put his heart on things he was passionate about. It was only then that Satsuki realized that the only reason she and Shigehiro were able to fly as freely as they did was because of that very passion—Shougo’s compassion.
Satsuki withdrew to herself after that call, she didn’t talk to anyone for a few days and it had her fleet extremely worried. But she left them a note that said she was fine, set her room to be soundproofed, and screamed her frustration until she lost her voice. Three days later, she called cousin Hayami to ask how Shougo was doing; she showed her the announcement that Shougo was to be the Minister of Inter-Planetary Migration.
A government office.
That silly self-sacrificing martyr who wore his heart on his sleeves is going to hold a governmental office.
Satsuki called Shigehiro that night, eyes blazing and fist trembling.
“We’re going to protect Shougo, you and I. Until Papa and Father returns, we’re going to bring hell to people who dared to hurt our dear Onii-sama.”
Shigehiro didn’t ask her anything, as he usually would when she just call him without a greeting or a ‘how are you?’, he just nodded, equally as determined.
(And yet still, Satsuki thought, how am I going to protect Shougo when Shigehiro is the one hurting him? She didn’t ask, preferring to shove the thought to the back of her head and make them stay there.)
--
Shougo hugged her tight, taking in every bit of her just like she took every bit of his, as he buried his face on the crook of Satsuki’s neck.
“Missed you,” soft, curt, lonely, desperate, Satsuki tightened her hug around his neck. “Missed you too, Onii-sama.” She only ever call him Onii-sama in intimate moments like this. Because Shougo was still an idiot and Headache Reason Number 1, but as they went to Shougo’s study and sat on the sofa where Satsuki used to play chess with Father, Shougo did not let go of her. Very lonely then.
“Hey, it’s alright, I’m here now…”
“Yeah but you’ll leave…”
That actually hurt.
And so undeniably true. Satsuki wouldn’t lie to Shougo, because Shougo is family and family should not be lied to. It was a principle of a sort, that in all things Akashi Satsuki had to do in her life, she would never lie to her family.
But seeing a man in his thirties clinging so desperately to her like this… maybe a couple of white lies is worth it? Satsuki took a deep breath and just let her brother hug her even closer. She caressed the back of his neck in a gentle circular motion, hoping that he would calm down and realize that she was not going to leave in these few hours.
Satsuki let the time pass as Shougo hugged her, not letting her go for who knows how long, until he finally did. Slowly, reverently, gently, as if she was going to disappear if he handled her wrongly. Satsuki always thought that whoever had the pleasure of being Shougo’s lover would be a very lucky person.
The sky had turned orange, even though it was blue when she came. It was quite a long time then. Shougo sighed and showed her a tired grin. “Thanks, Satsuki.” Satsuki smiled back, because now this was her Shougo, her Headache Reason Number 1. He gently pushed Satsuki away from his lap and Satsuki got to her feet, watching as the other went over to the corner of the room to make them tea.
“To think that I used to hate you when we were kids…” Shougo said, more to himself than to Satsuki really, but Satsuki laughed. “Oh? I thought it was Shigehiro you hate?” Because Shigehiro was noisy and annoying and bratty and he always gave Father frequent headaches (not to mention that there’s That Incident With Aunt Satsuki’s Vase that was never mentioned among the Akashi siblings, but that was another story), and because Shougo loved Father, he hated Shigehiro for that. Shougo smiled, eyes faraway and nostalgic. “I hated you both, actually.” And they laughed.
Really, Satsuki mused, all things considered, relations were good between the Akashi siblings.
--
Things weren’t always good between them.
Especially so when they were children. Shougo was older than both she and Shigehiro by eight years, and he was two years old when Papa took some off-planet mission somewhere and only returned when Shougo was seven years old, burning and seething and annoyed that right after Papa came back, he had immediately asked Father to create another sibling.
And then he didn’t get only one sibling he got two.
Satsuki admitted that she and Shigehiro were… well; they were cruel in their childhood. They rejected everything that tried to get close to them, including their family and relatives. Father was respectful, only touching them and playing with them when they wanted him to, and Shigehiro loved Papa so much he was always invited. Shougo wasn’t even part of the equation back then.
Satsuki was colder then, too. Only concerning herself with books and Shigehiro’s affairs while her younger brother experienced all the normality there was. Shougo was always somewhere, uninvited, alone, and at first he was confused until he just came to a conclusion that he wasn’t wanted and he was always constantly in a foul mood after that.
(Nowadays, Satsuki realized that maybe that was the telltale of Shougo’s compassion. He had wanted to be loved by Satsuki and Shigehiro and he was angry because he wasn’t. And he didn’t understand why they had rejected him and what he should he do about that pain. Not to mention the fact that Shougo hated Papa for leaving him and Father so suddenly, and his burning jealousy towards Papa’s affection to them. Satsuki genuinely felt bad about Shougo, really…)
Back then it was unthinkable for her to be sprawled on Shougo’s lap, watching a movie that was loosely based from their grandfather’s adventure to save the planet from the aliens. Her brother looked serious, aged, he was old now than when Satsuki left him, not just the numbers but from his eyes. Shougo might be in his thirties, but his eyes looked even older. She supposed that she could be grateful, because the unthinkable is now something easy between the two of them.
“Satsuki,” Shougo began, his voice calm and level. Satsuki narrowed her eyes. This was the tone Shigehiro took when he told her that he would permanently stay in Mars, something important, something that Shougo won’t say to her unless they were face to face and not face to screen. Satsuki didn’t move, though, she only tilted her head slightly, not wanting to alarm Shougo.
Her brother smiled at her, something that she never took for granted because things were hard before the Akashi siblings got the equilibrium they had now. “I’m getting married.”
She bolted up, knocking Shougo’s forehead. But she ignored the pain as she stared at him like he had grown two heads.

Heres a Thread of Anime Recommendations Because Friends Always Ask:
To start with, these are just my opinions and I haven’t watched every anime in the world. So if you have other recommendations, add them!
BEGINNER ANIMES: Most beginner animes I particularly like are pretty long (100-300 episodes) but I have a few that are not. I genuinely don't remember the first anime I watched, but these are my recommendations
Naruto/ Naruto Shippuden: Naruto and Naruto Shippuden pretty much go together for me. Naruto doesn’t start out the best, a lot of the characters turn you off because they are either really whiny or just all broody which isn’t particularly my cup of tea, but by around episode 20 (the start of the Konoha Crush arc) you are HOOKED. Naruto Shippuden, on the other hand, is good from the start and is (in my opinion) why I still love the series as a whole to this day. Naruto was one of my first anime, so I will always have a special place in my heart for it.
PROS:
Great characters
Excellent character development
Awesome plot
Lots of action (once you get into it)
Fight/background music is great
Comes in dubbed and subbed
CONS
Not the best theme songs (not a problem for me in particular but I didn’t want to leave that out)
Fight scenes are pretty long
Long series in general
Tons of filler episodes
Inconsistencies
Helpful Hint: Look up the filler episodes if you watch this series. It makes the series a lot shorter and saves you from bullshit plots plots that don’t particularly add to the story
Hunter x Hunter (2011): I haven’t finished this series yet and haven’t gotten that far into it, but I really like it so far. The whole plot is interesting and easy to follow and just a wholesome show in general.
PROS
(as I mentioned earlier) Easy to follow
Great characters
Shorter fight scenes
Interesting plot
Currently releasing dubbed and the voice actors aren’t Shit are perfect for the characters
Good background music *cues spanish guitar*
Good fight scenes
CONS
A Relatively long series (not a bad thing but you just have to invest a lot of time into it)
Hard to get hooked (the first arc is slow)
Constant hiatus
Chimera Ant arc dragged on for too long
Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood: Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is genuinely one of the best animes I ever watched. Everything about this show is great and I cant give it enough love.
Pros
Fights were perfect length
Characters are likeable (even a lot of the villains to be honest)
Good character development
Not an obscene amount of romance (I’m looking at you, Sword Art Online)
Plot is great
Perfect show length
Subbed and dubbed
CONS
The First Episode is Slightly Confusing
Pokemon: I watched this show when I was a kid, either Naruto or this show was probably my first anime but I’m not sure. It’s a pretty good show but isn’t my favorite of all time. I still think it’s a good start into the anime world, though
PROS
Genuinely funny characters
The pokemon weren’t “boring”– They had personalities of their own and made the show a lot more entertaining at times
Great movies
Antagonists are charismatic
Dubbed and subbed
Nostalgic
CONS
Plot is pretty basic
Boring at times
The newer seasons aren’t that good
Fights aren’t that great
Characters weren’t that complex
Overrun (in my personal opinion)
Quite long
Attack on Titan: I genuinely liked Attack on Titan for a long time before cancerous fans started polluting my feed. I still watch it (I haven’t watched all of season 2 yet, though, oops) and I do really like the show. I just some of the toxic fans.
PROS:
Good plot
Fights aren’t drawn out usually
Great plot
Dubbed and subbed
Still coming out
Amazing art
Good opening
CONS
Eren (the main character) comes off as an Asshole is angry 90% of the time (which is understandable, but annoying)
Mikasa (the main characters friend) is very whiny
A lot of the character’s you see all the time are really underdeveloped
Many fans are toxic
Takes a long time for new Seasons to come out
HONORABLE MENTIONS IN THIS CATEGORY (aka stuff I haven’t watched/ watched a lot of but everyone “raves” about
Dragon Ball Z
One Punch Man
Assasination Classroom
One Piece
Madoka Magica
SCI-FI/PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR: I personally haven’t watched a lot of psychological horror/sci-fi even though I want to. This is probably because my life has been consumed with rewatching animes I have been watching other stuff instead. Anyhow, here are my favorites:
Death Note: I love this anime a lot. The plot, the characters, the everything. I haven’t watched it in a couple of years, but is for sure on my top 10 list even still today.
PROS
Great character development
Great plot
Makes the watcher think
Intense
Dubbed and subbed
CONS
Normal Length (about 40 episodes)
Some of the characters are annoying (by some I mean one in particular)
Complex plot (not a con for me but a lot of people prefer easy-to-follow anime)
Dubbed voice actors don’t really go with the characters (also not a problem for me because I usually prefer subbed over dubbed)
First episode doesn’t “hook” you in
Parasyte: I haven’t watched a lot of this show so I cant particularly criticize it as much as the others just because I haven’t watched the whole thing. But from what I’ve watched, it seems like a decent show.
Pros:
Decent length
Interesting plot
Pretty easy to follow
Good character development
Subbed and dubbed
“Hooks” you in quite easily
Opening is a bop
Cons
I don’t have any huge cons about it so far, all I could really say is that its “gruesome” but then again I haven’t watched a sci-fi/psychological horror one that isn’t like that
Tokyo Ghoul: Another anime I haven’t finished, but I have read a lot of the manga and do genuinely enjoy the show. It has all of the elements I like in a show and more. I just haven’t watched enough of it because I am already watching 2 anime’s and don’t want to completely flunk out of college.
PROS
Great plot
Characters are interesting
Easy to follow
Subbed and dubbed
Decent length
CONS
Dubbed isn’t the best
First episode was pretty fast paced
HONORABLE MENTIONS:
Cowboy Bebop
Steins;Gate
Psycho-Pass
Code Geass
ROMANCE/SLICE OF LIFE ANIME: I feel like these go hand and hand. A lot of these could go under a “fantasy” tab but I honestly haven’t watched a lot of fantasy that weren’t also “romance” or “sci-fi”. This tab is going to show how hopelessly romantic I am, oh my God.
Also, keep in mind most of these will be relatively short (12-24 episodes) just because
Nijiiro Days: This genuinely is such a funny and great slice-of-life anime. The friendship and the different personalities of the guys in this show is so great. I watched it earlier this year, and it has become one of my favorite slice-of-lifes of all time.
PROS
Funny
Decent length
Characters are interesting
Easy to follow
Not the typical “romance” anime (theres not a bunch of unnecessary drama, no unreasonable jealousy, etc)
Wholesome
 CONS
Can feel a bit repetitive at times
There isn’t a lot of “character development”: most of the characters stay the same
Hanasaku Iroha: I haven’t watched all of this show, but I love it so far. It’s unlike any slice- of life I’ve seen before. Theres not a huge amount of romance in it, it’s mostly about the the relationships the main character develops throughout the show.
PROS
Funny
Decent characters
Interesting plot
Not a stereotypical “slice of life anime”
Decent length
Great art
Wholesome
CONS
Subbed only
Isn’t an anime you can binge
Some of the characters are assholes rude to the main character for genuinely no reason other than jealousy
Nana: A great romance anime that leaves you in shambles. It has some great bops in it. It takes everything you thought you knew about romance anime and completely turns it around and makes you wonder “why?”
PROS
Interesting
A lot more realistic than most romance animes
Dubbed and subbed
Good music
Decent characters and character development
CONS
Can feel repetitive at the beginning
First few episodes aren’t that great
Makes Rethink Everything you Once Thought About Love
A lot of jealousy
Durarara!: I watched this anime early last year and really liked it. I have to admit that I didn’t like the second season as much as the first, but it was all really interesting to me. I didn’t know if this was considered sci-fi or romance, but I decided to put it under this category anyways.
PROS
 Hooks you in easily
Funny
Action-packed
Characters are interesting
Has some character development
CONS
Some episodes are quite boring/uneventful
Second season isn’t that great
Ao Haru Ride: Not my favorite anime of all time, but still deserves to be on the list. It’s genuinely the typical School Romance Anime. I bet a lot of people would like this series, I think I didn’t like it because I went through a breakup right before watching this series.
PROS
Characters have decent backstories
Art is pretty
Average length
Funny
Cons
Characters can be quite annoying and are pretty “typical” people
So much unnecessary jealousy
Feels drawn out
Kaichou wa Maid Sama: I walked into this anime expecting not to really like it, and was pleasantly surprised.  I honestly thought it was going to be lolita trash but it was so much more. I love the manga and wished that they made the whole manga into an anime, but, alas, you cant always get what you want.
PROS
Wholesome
Makes you scream because of how cute it is
Great plot
Enjoyable
Hilarious
Dubbed and subbed
Not the stereotypical “romantic comedy”
CONS
Not the whole series
Dubbed isn’t great
The main Character can come off as annoying
Yona of the Dawn: I loved Yona of the Dawn, other than the fact Pierrot didn’t do the whole manga. Because of this, I recommend reading the manga after you finish the 24 episode series, because so much more happens.
PROS
Decent length
Subbed and dubbed
Great plot
So much action
Action sequences don’t take up an entire episode
Easy to get hooked on
Adorable as a whole
Great art
CONS
Not all of the dubbed actors fit the characters
Not the whole manga (by “whole” I mean all thats been currently released)
Antagonist has a stupid reason for going after the protagonist (in my opinion)
Ended the series without a great conclusion
Kamisama Kiss: I also wasn’t expecting great things from this, I thought looking at it that it was kind of strange because it’s literally a fox human, but my friend made me watch it, and I was blown away. This series made me cry more times than I care to admit. The whole series as a whole is just magnificent.
PROS
Great plot
Really sweet
Unique
Warms your heart
Funny
Dubbed and Subbed
Dubbed actors are perfect for the characters
Easy to binge
Although it’s not the whole series, it concludes at a good spot
CONS
First episode doesn’t hook you in
Not the whole series
Snow White with the Red Hair: I watched this series earlier this year and really enjoyed it. I only had a few issues with it as a whole, and they are just minor things. If you are interested in fantasy and romance, you should start with this or Kamisama Kiss.
PROS
Relatively short
Great characters
Excellent art
Warms your heart
Easy to binge
Dubbed and subbed
Dubbed voice actors fit the characters perfectly
Easy to binge
CONS
Some of the Episodes aren’t Interesting
Not the whole series (I recommend reading the manga)
Ends without any real conclusion
Lovely Complex: Lovely Complex has a special place in my heart as the first romantic comedy I watched at age 12. I’ve rewatched it once when I was 14, and let me tell you, if you romantic comedy, this is it. I don’t think I’d like it as much if I rewatched it now, but it still deserves to be on the list because it has a special place in my heart.
PROS
Funny
Really sweet (when you get farther in to the series)
Easy to binge
Relatively short
CONS
Characters can come off as whiny
So much unnecessary drama
Doesn’t “hook” you in per se
Characters are pretty bland
Toradora!: I wasn’t amazed with Toradora!, I did like it though. Toradora! is just a run-of-the-mill romantic comedy I’d probably watch in middle school. Although it didn’t stand out in my life, I think a lot of people would still like it, and I have to give it credit where credits due.
PROS
Short in length
Easy to binge
Hilarious
Sweet
Dubbed and subbed
CONS
Typical romantic comedy story
Characters aren’t that interesting to me
So much unnecessary drama
Unreasonable Jealousy
Your Lie in April: Such a great show. Like genuinely I am amazed how unique and bittersweet this whole show was. I watched this last year on a whim and by the ending I was shocked and crying.
PROS
Excellent art
Excellent music
Great plot
Realistic
Some interesting characters
Hooks you in
CONS
Some characters personalities are kind of bland
Isn’t good to binge (please, trust me, take it slow, or else you’ll contemplate the show for too long)
There are some episodes that are kind of meh if you don’t particularly like music  if you don’t like music, this show is not for you
Kimi ni Todoke: Really a pretty sweet show. I liked that the minor characters and main character a lot more than the main characters love interest. The show, all in all, is pretty good if you’re looking for something basic to watch.
PROS
Easy to follow
Decent length
Funny
Decent plot
CONS
A few of the characters are bland
Pretty generic
Second season is just a bunch of drama
Tonari No Kaibutsu-kun: I think I watched this pretty soon after Lovely Complex. Decent show, all in all, just a few issues with it. It reminds me a lot of Toradora!.
PROS
Easy to follow
Average length
Funny
Some interesting characters
CONS
Generic plot
A lot of unnecessary jealousy
A lot of drama
Main character and love interest get annoying at times
Say “I love you”:  This was a decent show. I really liked it when I first watched it, but didn’t really like it the second time. I feel like most romantic animes you can only watch once, then it kind of loses its charm.
PROS
Easy to follow
Gets straight to the point
Wholesome
Warms your heart
Most of the girls in the show are really realistic
CONS
Relationship is unrealistic (but we can dream, right?)
Guys in the show are pretty bland
A lot of unnecessary drama
Generic Plot
Silver Spoon: Silver Spoon is a slice-of life anime that I went into with no real expectations. I honestly just chose to watch it because it was the only thing I found interesting on netflix at the time and decided to watch it on a whim. Let me tell you, this is genuinely one of my favorite slice-of-life animes of all time. The characters are great, the plot is great, and I honestly can’t believe it doesn’t get more attention.
PROS
Not that long
Unique
Great plot
Funny
Interesting characters
CONS
Hard to get in to
Takes a while to get hooked
Ouran Highschool Host Club: I didn’t know if I should put this under the romantic comedy section, but it for sure has comedy. This show sounds extremely weird when you read the summary, I know, but trust me, it’s hilarious. I genuinely love this show and it’s characters with all my heart and wish they made more of it.
PROS
Average length
Hilarious
Great characters
Great plot
Can honestly watch any episode of the series in any order and get the same result (minus the 1st and last 3)
Theme song is a bop
Hooks you in easily
CONS
Not the whole series
Can feel a bit repetitive at times
Not the best conclusion
HONORABLE MENTIONS
Princess Jellyfish
Spice and Wolf
Orange
Fruits Basket
Clannad
Kokoro Connect
Sorry this is so long! I didn’t realize how many animes I thought were decent. I’ll make a separate thread for movies sometime soon so I dont make this any longer. I hope this helped a lot of you guys out!
