"Heizou!" Your head felt lightheaded from how quickly you sat up.

Looking around your room you couldn't find your lover anywhere. His side of the bed had been slept in, your sure he went to sleep with you. You remember kissing him before you both drifted off. Maybe… maybe he really did… "Heizou!" Tears threatened to fall down your face. "No, no no."

The room began to close in, making it hard to breathe. You couldn't speak properly anymore, Your breathing also began to speed up. Where could he be? Did he really die? Was he gone? Despite it being cold you were sweating, tears now came streaming down your face. They wouldn't stop, staining the blanket with the drops.

"Love, what are you doing awake, did I wake you? Love! Oh my what happened!"

Your eyes shot up to face the figure who had walked in, and it was none other than the boyfriend you thought was dead. "Heizou!"

He quickly wrapped his arms around you, trying to understand why you were crying. You buried your face in his neck, which made it wet. Your grasp on him was tight, like it was the last time you'd hug him. Tears streamed down your face like it was the last time you could cry. A Lot of things felt like last times tonight. "Y/n what happened?"

Struggling to get words out you managed, "I-i thought you, you died…"

Upon hearing these words he only tightened the hug, making sure to comfort you as much as he could. "Oh my dear. Have some water, it's alright."

While drinking the water you hiccuped

a little causing the water to splash on your face a little. This earnt a little chuckle from the crimson haired detective next to you. "Come here my love, if you want to of course." He added with a slight grin.

He resumed his sleeping position but this time made sure there was enough room for you. You accepted this offer by burying your face in his chest. You were so close to falling asleep but the thought of your nightmare plagued your memory. You tensed a little which Heizou noticed. He started running his fingers through your hair.

"Are you comfortable?"

You nodded, well as much as you could anyway. He seemed to understand this and continued what he was doing. Within the next few minutes you were asleep, peacefully this time. Heizou however was still awake appreciating how cute you looked while you slept. How had he never noticed such beauty coming from you? From his own partner?

In your sleep you mumbled some things Heizou couldn't understand, bit of a shame really.

Despite being a detective many things about you were still a mystery that he could never figure out. He chuckled quietly and soon fell asleep too.

i need Abarat by Clive Barker like i need life. i know he had some health issues recently, but i really hope he will be able to finish book 4 soon. he recently said that he won't be making that many physical appearances so he can focus on his writing, but he said he has like 30+ things he is working on, so i hope Kry Rising is one of them. i am going to be rereading the 3 that are out now, pining for the 4th.

i am also happy that Disney no longer has the rights to Abarat, and they are back in Clive's hands, because they would have ruined it for sure

also, please, please, PLEASE tell me if you are a part of this fandom. i have felt alone for most of my life.

basically, this is a Petition to revive the Abarat fandom and even rope more people in. force your friends to read it, read it to them if you have to. info dump about it, idc, just please, i can't stand feeling like the only one constantly thinking about these books

hey again !! yr pinned says yr reqs are still open, sorry if they’re not <//3 when you get the time i was wondering if you could write either a) headcanons about johnnie having a gf that’s (significantly) taller than him or more in depth b) a fic about johnnie having a gf that’s taller who keeps noticing her hoodies go missing for like, weeks and months and she starts feeling crazy about missing all these hoodies. like she literally wears them maybe 2-3 times and suddenly she can’t find it anymore ? so she asks johnnie about it and he acts all confused and gets flustered almost as if reader is accusing him ? but she obvs not, so reader notices that johnnie’s reaction is kinda suspicious but doesn’t really think anything of it. that is until one day reader comes home early from an outing/work and finds the house suspiciously quiet, she calls out for johnnie but gets no response so she looks through the house for him eventually going into their shared bedroom to find johnnie napping curled up in one of reader’s hoodies <3 she immediately smiles and takes out her phone to take a couple pictures before gently kissing johnnie’s face to wake him up. he wakes up all confused until reader points out what johnnie’s wearing. he immediately gets flustered as reader starts to tease him about how cute he is. i also had this idea that maybe it could end with like johnnie starting a (gentle) pillow fight because he’s so flustered and wants to change the topic so it ends with him + reader in a wholesome fit of giggles :]

A/N : i loved loved loved this req!! i am gonna go with the headcanons for two reasons ! 1 : i've been super burnt out lately and don't know how long i could make a fic, and 2 : this was so detailed i don't think i could do it justice !! but thank u so so much for your incredible detail i love it so much!!!

~ he practically drowns in your hoodies, given that you're multiple inches taller than him

~ he will offer to fold clothes coming out of the dryer for the sole purpose of stealing some of them while they're warm

~ you'll often be looking for a specific hoodie and go to ask him if he's seen it, only to find it in his closet or him wearing it

~ he 100% blushes every time you bring it up, and changes the subject, but he never stops doing it

~ every time you go to put a load of laundry in the washer you have to check his room for your clothes tucked away in places

~ when your t-shirts stop smelling like you he gives them back, waits until you wear it, and then steals it again

~ he keeps track of what perfume/cologne/scent you buy, and gets another one to spray on his own or your clothes when he takes them

~ it's common in his comment sections to see "isn't that _____'s shirt?"

~ he'll roll up the ends of your sweatpants so that he can still wear them around the house without tripping

~ if you were ever a sports player he wears your jerseys as a joke, and they're so incredibly long on him that it's almost comical

~ he keeps a small secret stash of your clothes to wear apart from the place he normally puts them so when you come to take them back he still has some more hidden away

IMPORTANT NOTICE

So, somethings come up, and I will not be on tumblr for a while, to say the least.

Chaotic Normalcy

Request: Hey I saw you do platonic moon knight, I was wondering if you could do a moon knight x teen reader who lives with them thats around 15-16 and maybe they’re an inventor and really chaotic and help out with the guys (maybe a bit like jinx from arcane?) :)

Summary: Life with an inventor is chaotic. But that word doesn’t always have to have a negative meaning

A/N: This was incredibly short but also incredibly fun to write; I’m sorry I don’t know who Jinx is, so I did my best with everything else

Please don’t plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but I’m asking that you don’t steal my hard work

“Coming through!” You screamed from behind Steven, who’s eyes widened and he turned towards you.

The man let out a yelp, and he quickly ducked out of the way with wide eyes just in time for you to run right by him with a frying pan that was quite literally on fire.

“What the-“ Marc said, standing up and quickly following you into the bathroom where you had taken the pan and thrown it into the full bathtub.

You dramatically wiped a hand across your forehead, “Whew! That was a close one!” Before turning to him with a large grin as if nothing happened.

“Wh-huh-how-“ Steven stuttered, fronting just in time to voice all of his incomplete thoughts.

“Good thing the tub was filled.” Your grin didn't once falter as you walked by the man, giving him a pat on the shoulder before continuing out of the room.

You had moved in with Steven Grant and Marc Spector ten years ago when you were just six years old.

Your parents had died in a fire in their family-owned fix-it shop that they worked at where they would fix broken appliances for people.

At a young age, you had inherited their gift for inventing and fixing things, and became sort of an inventor of your own. And even after they passed, you didn’t once lose your love for it.

At the time, Steven had been willing to take in foster children, and it had only been six months of you staying with him before he officially adopted you.

Marc had been hesitant at first, but he quickly grew to love and adore you just as much as his alter did, even if he didn’t let it on as obviously.

The American man followed you out of the bathroom and into your room/workshop, where you had already begun tinkering with something new.

Your mothers old inventors' goggles that looked like they were out of a really old cartoon sat on top of your head, just like they always did. You claimed they were your good luck charm.

He leaned against your doorframe, “Watcha working on there now, kid?”

You glanced up from your desk, dropping a screw driver and a couple of gears you had been messing around with before walking over and picking up a tape measure off your bed and striding over to the man.

“Eh, nothing much.” You replied, starting at Marc’s feet and letting the measure go all the way up to his head, “Just a couple of ideas I had.”

“Uh-huh,” He nodded, “And how do you explain the burning fire pan?”

You shrugged nonchalantly, standing straight up and looking at the results on your measure before walking back to your desk and scribbling something down in a notebook.

“One of those ideas gone wrong.” You replied simply, and the man knew better than to push.

He sighed, “Okay then, but be back in the kitchen in five minutes, Stevens gonna finish up making dinner for us.”

You gave an absentminded nod, already on the next thing and not even really paying attention to a word he just said.

Pretty soon though, the smell of your favorite meal pulled you out of your thousand-miles-a-minute thoughts and out of your room and into the kitchen.

Steven glanced up from the plates that he had just set down on the table, “Oh, hey, n/n.”

You hummed in return, already sitting down and munching away on your food happily.

The man chuckled in return, biting into his own meal.

The rest of dinner was spent how it always was, you rambling on about some new ideas you had, with both of the men listening intently and fronting whenever they had something to add to the conversation.

It was just how they liked it. With everything going on recently with all the gods and Layla and all the other crazy stuff, the sense of chaos- but also normalcy- that you gave off was refreshing.

They both knew that no matter how many frying pans you burned or crazy ideas you came up with, it would never make them love you or your inventor personality any less.

Birthday HCs with Yancy

Happy birthday to @gh0st-b0ys! I hope your day is a good one and thank you for being such a nice moot. I send all the best vibes your way <3

Before Parole

If you have your birthday in Happy Trails, Yancy will do his best to make it special

I mean there isn’t much he can do since still gotta follow the rules and all, but there are a couple of things

They can’t really have balloons all that often but they can make paper confetti to throw at you with the gang!

Yancy will absolutely embarrass you singing happy birthday as loud as possible during mealtime

He might even pull out a musical number just for you! Aren’t you one lucky fellow?

He knows how hard the firsts are in a place like this so he makes sure that you are at least welcomed. No one is allowed to pick fights with the birthday bub and if and they do, oh boy. Even though he knows you can handle yourself

Will offer stuff off of his tray. Anything (that can he reasonably get) he will bribe the kitchen for. Best he can do is either pudding or some fruit though

Feels bad that he can’t give you a proper gift but definitely offers his books and got Tiny to teach him how to make paper flower crowns.

What can you say? A lot of birthdays are spent of everyone exchanging their handmade items.

When all is said and done, Yancy pats you on the back (maybe even a hug if there’s no one looking, shhhhh)

“Happy birthday. Youse family here now.”

After Parole

Yancy knew exactly who to call when he got put on parole and you were right there for him

He doesn’t know exactly how to repay that amount of kindness (letting him into your home, letting him stay in said home, teaching him about the outside, etc)

When your birthday rolls around, he knows he has to do something for it

You like his voice right? Well he’s tried to write several songs to no avail.

He tried practicing baking a cake with various results. Nothing suitable in his opinion

God, how did people do this????

You insist that it is not a big deal and that you want to enjoy the day with him

Yancy is one determined boy however!

Eventually, he settles on making cupcakes and messy icing with some candles that got at the store. He won’t tell you the embarrassing amount of youtube videos that he had to watch to get it just right

You walk in to see him anxiously at the table, spiffed up in his leather jacket (that you bought him, he looked very hot). He also decorated the place with what he could find

You end up cuddling up on the couch after his little rendition of happy birthday. Just chilling with him was always the best parts of your days anyhow

“Happy birthday, sweetheart. Youse deserves better but I’m glad I can be the one to celebrate it with you.”

max, her bestie on tumblr, her birthday being december 22nd.

y/n decided she wanted to mail her gifts, which she needed her parents help for.

"so why are you sending gifts to someone you've never met?" marc asks, skeptical as he follows his daughter around the thrift store.

"because. she's nice to me AND we share common interests" you point out, and he sighs.

"do you even know what she looks like?"

"no"

jake chuckles at marc's expression, confused but intrigued.

"i thinks it's nice you're getting your friend a gift, just as long as she doesn't track you down and murder you" steven says and you smile.

"oh it's okay, she lives in my walls"

"no, she doesn't. if there was someone in our walls i'd know" marc practically brags.

"sure" you blink.

you decided on getting max an arcane plush of jinx, and a stuffed rat.

you know why.

now on the whole trip, you had explained exactly who max was to you to your dads, they decided to get a little something for her too.

jake got her two little plush cats, one black and one a calico to match pedro and luna.

steven decided to gift her one of his many pyramid paper weights that he got from a paper weight shop.

and marc just gave her cold hard cash, claiming he's terrible at giving gifts.

you packaged it all up and decided to write a note for her too.

you didn't know if max knew how much she meant to you, so you hoped this would make sense to her.

'to max,

i don't know if you already know this, but you're the best online friend i've ever had. we may have never seen each others faces, and possibly never will, but i don't need to to tell that you're such an amazing person. you've been with me since the start basically, and i am so happy that you've stuck around. i will always support everything you do from your fan art to your writing. i really do love you, and hope you're doing well, and being the best version of yourself.

I got married last September💕

2. My favorite color is tied between mint green & teal

3. I've wanted to be some kind of writer since junior high but didn't start actually sharing any of my stuff (or take writing seriously) until I started this blog.

4. I don't have a thyroid! Synthroid gang 4 lyfeeee

5. I had a feeling I was bi when I was in junior high but denied it/wasn't really sure until after I graduated high school (there's no fucking way someone loves Lady Gaga as much as I do and is straight, it's literally impossible😂😂)

6. My favorite dessert is a brownie sundae and if you give me one I'll love you forever

7. Summer was my favorite season but now that I don't have a thyroid I'm much more sensitive to heat and cold (although I hated the cold well before my thyroid got yeeted out) so I don't enjoy it as much as I used to. It's still lowkey my fave though

8. I love dogs, Pitbull's are my favorite and I CAN'T wait to own a big-headed hippo seal baby one day🥺😭😭

9. I work remotely and will never work in an office again if I can help it because I love working from home.

10. My favorite movie of all time is Scott Pilgrim vs. the World!
