Okay I don’t want to take too much away from Shoji in the same chapter where he revealed the facial scars he got from his discrimination:

But I can’t help but point out how bold it is of him to be calling out Spinner & the PLF for endangering the civilians in the hospital that the heroes brought a high-profile villain too. Like, who exactly is responsible for endangering civilians here? Because villains tend not to have the responsibility, nor even the freedom or choices availible, to care about that stuff. The heroes do. So why is Kurogiri here, why did you choose this hospital for a battle ground, and should you really be calling out your opponent for coming there?

My school sent me a test voucher so late that I assumed they forgot it and I wouldn’t get it. I was supposed to get this last week and that was already really late.

I now have 2 weeks to study for a test that most people spend a few months studying for.

If I pass it, great! If I don’t, too bad.

I’m treating this like a test run cause I really don’t think I’ll pass.

Kind of stressful though. Just a little. Just. A bit.

“You’re a pretty girl. Why wouldn’t I wanna talk to you?”

That’s the first time a guy has ever called you pretty.

From that point forward, it was like Jake was stuck to you.

You couldn’t shake him off no matter what you did.

He even got offers to hang with the popular crowd, but he chose you.

When he confessed to you, you couldn’t believe it.

“Is this a joke?”

His brows are furrowed as he looks at you.

“Why would this be a joke?”

You look down, scuffing your feet across the pavement.

Also I need to stop writing Damian as the playboy Bruce was cause I definently do not think of him that way.

This is the "Suburban Legends" part of my 1989 event!

Y/N fell backwards onto her bed and stared up at the stars on her ceiling. Only back from college for two days and she already knew that she had to break up with him. She knew she should have seen it coming, with all his calls from the unmarked numbers. But she had believed him when he told her that it was just vigilante/hero or Wayne Enterprises business.

He had never given her any reason to not believe him.

But she knew she would have to do it, break up with him. Damian Wayne would always be such a gentlemen and never purposefully hurt someone in that way.

She ran her hands over her face, God she couldn't have felt any more idiotic. She knew that she shouldn't have ever gotten involved with him, from the way that he had held her to the way that he kissed her. She should have known better.

She should have known that it was going to screw her up forever.

Y/N sat in the gym that still looked like it belonged in the 1950s, as she watched her friend graduate. All as she looked around, she found memories of Damian and her.

She closed her eyes, trying to clear her mind of thoughts of him. Trying to stop thinking back on her fantasy that their mismatched star signs, two signs of two people who usually never got along, would work. That one day, at some class reunion, they would walk in, hand-in-hand, with the largest shit eating grins because they would surprise everyone that they worked out.

That maybe one day he would be more than just pages in her diary that laid underneath her bed.

Jon is an incompetent history teacher and the class love him cause he's so bad at hiding his incompetence that it comes off as funny and if they ask the right questions about Napoleon you can derail the whole lesson. They do hate him sometimes though because all he'll ever do is make them take notes from the textbook. No variety in that man. He shows up with a briefcase, looking impeccable in a 3 piece suit and then scatters pieces of paper all over his desk and clutches his hair in frustration before getting to work on said papers and just about remembers to tell the class to take notes from page 355 to 370. They call him sir and he jumps like he's forgotten he's in a classroom full of people. He occasionally glances over at Ms James and Mr Stoker's classes and his frown gets incrementally deeper. His class grumbles that they seem to be having a lot more fun than they are. There are numerous bets about when Ms James and Mr Stoker will get together, although a large number think they're already together.

Every lesson, Mr Blackwood knocks on the door, offering Mr Sims tea. He seems to visibly tense when seeing him and then just as visibly relax upon drinking this cup of tea. A couple of the students don't like how Mr Sims dismisses him with a nod and never a thank you and have formed somewhat of a Mr Blackwood Support Club. Nobody is quite sure what Mr Blackwood does but he's usually either at the printer with a grimace, being shouted at by Mr Sims or making tea. He'll always smile at you when you walk past, no matter which of the three he is doing. One day a student walks in on them making out. They back away as quickly as possible and try to scrub their eyes out. They don't tell a soul because however scary Mr Sims could be, all he could really do was shout, but Mr Blackwood could make your life a whole lot worse. Never again would the printer work for you and you'd never get a good cup of tea ever again.

Alright, latest chapter’s out and it’s discussing a very heavy and serious topic; heteromorphic discrimination (which is a blatant allegory for general racism, now more than ever). Which is why seeing people simplifying a lot of the arguments presented down by saying things like the heteromorphs using their oppression to just justify violence or that this prejudice isn’t as bad anymore is…a tad concerning. So time to do my duty as a League stan and play Villain’s advocate.

First; the idea that they’re just rampaging pointlessly to vent their rage and justifying it with past oppression. This is an especially idiotic take when Spinner keeps mentioning how they’re here for Kurogiri, something at least Present Mic knows as well. And I’ve mentioned more than a few times how Kurogiri is basically the only one with any chance of turning this war around from an otherwise 100% certain hero victory. So if these people are, in fact, putting their hopes in Shigaraki and Spinner to change things; then far from aimless rioting, this attack is the only strategically viable move they could’ve made.

Next is the idea of things not being so bad that they need to put their hopes in Shigaraki; a weird claim to make (even ignoring how real world parallels make it laughable) when this same chapter gave multiple people revealed to be scared for heteromorphic quirks. Including Shoji. To say nothing of the existence of the CRC.

And just in general; whenever you might look at a villain’s motivations rooted in some way the setting sucks and be tempted to say “oh things can’t be that bad”, they are. Pretty much every time. The only exceptions I can ever really think of belong to people who became heroes and escaped the sucky-ness with the position’s celebrity status. Which, like, is good enough for guys like Shinsou or Shoji I guess; but I don’t think there are enough open positions for the 15,000 people here to use that method.

And I already shared my initial thoughts on this; but even Shoji’s own call-outs feel unfair and ignorant of the circumstances. Like, saying they’re not considering the safety of the hospital patients when the heroes evacuated them last war? What, is he seriously expecting the villains to evacuate this hospital then? How would that even work? Heck, the heroes only evacuated the hospital after they entered in (obviously), but are any of the villains even in the Central Hospital yet? This feels like calling the villains out for killing their opponents instead of sending them to jail like the heroes do while ignoring the question of what jail they’d send them too. What other option were they expected to take besides leaving Kurogiri to rot?

Also, just want to point out that the heroes are the ones who took Kurogiri from Tartarus to put him deep in a building surrounded by the civilians Shoji is calling Spinner out for not considering. So who’s endangering the civilians here? Because the villains don’t exactly have many options low in collateral, but the heroes do and they choose to bring a high-profile villain to a civilian hospital knowing the chances that other villains would come for him.

uhmmmmuhhhhh ummm so one of my classes gives me a free voucher for a certification but I was under the impression that it would be a 1 year timeframe to take the test. When you pay for the voucher out of pocket you have a year to take the test.

Yeah so that doesn’t apply to the free voucher and they’re saying I need to take it by may 26.. my class.. was not enough prep to take the exam. At all. So. Uh.

Ummmm.. huh. So yeah I could probably do it if I didn’t have 10 other things going on.

But. I’m already studying for a separate certification that I’m taking on may 22nd

Also it doesn’t help that I’m supposed to take this test last. It’s not a strict rule but there is a networking test that most people will do before this one. Cause it helps you prep for this one.
