One of the most generally useful things to come out of Hbomberguy's plagiarism video and Todd in the Shadows' similar video on misinformation is how they bring transparency to the internet phenomenon of "I made up a guy to get mad at".
Seriously, I've seen people make up a lot of stupid shit on the internet over the years and it's often just a manipulative attempt to paint a group of marginalized people in a bad light.
That's the TL;DR version of this post.
Tumblr media
ANYWAY here is the long version
Those videos are mostly about James Somerton's plagiarism of other queer people's work. However I'd like to talk about that 20-30% of Somerton's original writing- and oh boy. It's mostly about complaining about White Straight Women and misgendering well-known trans creators such as Rebecca Sugar and calling Becky Albertalli a straight woman while it's pretty common knowledge that she was forced to out herself as bi because she received so much harassment over "being a cishet woman who appropriates LGBT+ stories".
One thing that irks me especially is how in his Killing Stalking and Gay Shipping videos Somerton brings up how straight women/ teen girl shippers exploit gay men for their personal sexual fantasies. This gets brought up several times in his videos.
Being all up and arms about Somerton being a "White Cis Gay Who Hates Women and Queer People tm" is not that useful because the kind of rhetoric he's using is extremely common in fandom and LGBT+ spaces on Tumblr, TikTok and Twitter. We really don't need to bring Somerton's identity to this since he is in no way an unique example.
It's hypocritical to make this about an individual person when I've seen A TON of posts, tweets and videos where queer people talk about these Sinister Straight Women who are supposedly out there fetishizing and exploiting queer men. It's pretty clear to me that this is just an excuse to shit on women and queer people for having any sexual interests. At worst these comments are spreading misinformation about BL, a form of media that has been excessively studied by both Asian feminists and Asian queer women.
This all sounds really familiar and I think it's good that people are calling it out as what it is: misogyny and transphobia. I'd also point out the potentially racist motives behind being this hypervigilant about Asian media.
People can absolutely be misogynist regardless of gender or orientation. I really don't know why we need to create some kind of made up enemy to get mad at. I actually think it's almost sinister how "anti-fujoshi" people call Slash shippers and fujoshi misogynists or claim that they have internalised misogyny while being dismissive about women's interests and creative pursuits under Japanese obscenity laws, China's censorship, book bans in American schools and various other disadvances that are part of being a queer and/or female creator.
I think we shouldn't be naive about the bad faith actors who want to turn queer people against each other. For example Fujoshi.info mentions anti-gender (TERF, GC etc) movement using this kind of rhetoric as well.
Anyway if you want to read more:
- about the false info around BL fandom fujoshi.info
-There is the scholar Thomas Baudinette who studies gay media in Japan. Here is a podcast with him and the scholar Khursten Santos
-James Welker is a BL scholar as well. Here is a podcast interview about the new international BL article collection he edited.
-I've already talked about this Youtube channel by KrisPNatz and his great Killing Stalking video that actually engages with the themes of the manhwa
- There is also HR Coleman's thesis DO NOT FEED THE FETISHIZERS: BOYS LOVE FANS RESISTANCE AND CHALLENGE OF PERCEIVED REPUTATION where she interviews 36 BL fans and actually breaks down why fetishization has become such a huge talking point in the fandom discourse. Spoilers, it's mostly about young queer people and women being worried that they will get judged and pathologized for their interest in anything sexual.
-Great podcast about Danmei and censorship with Liang Ge

ngl sometimes the sentiment of "don't ever say anything that might suggest someone may be trans ever" on tumblr being as pervasive as it is feels less like a "i'm trying to be respectful of how you identify/not trying to pry into something you may not be comfortable with" thing and more adjacent to the "trans-as-social-contagion" line that transphobes have.
i didn't feel like i was able to id as anything but cis woman until one of my transfem nb lesbian friends took the time to ask me how i felt about my relationship to gender after watching me post quite a bit in the vent channels on a discord server we were both on. she told me that a lot of the feelings i was having about my relationship to gender and sexuality were things she had also felt before when figuring her own relationship to it out (albeit her journey was different because she also has to navigate transmisogyny), that i shouldn't be afraid to explore the possibility of being nonbinary and even just using "lesbian" as a means to describe my relationship to gender if that felt right, and that i wouldn't be stepping on anyone's toes in doing so.
and that conversation was like a sigh of relief to me after having held my breath for years and being afraid of putting an actual name to how i felt about myself. tbh, if she hadn't reached out, i'd probably still be here telling myself that i'm a cis woman despite how much the concept made me want to crawl out of my skin and made me feel like i was having to smother a part of myself in the process. and i do not think that this is a completely unique experience.
while there's always a line that can be crossed when it comes to just about any personal topic and ultimately that gender identity is journey of self-discovery, the idea that even mildly and compassionately suggesting that someone might benefit from exploring options with their gender identity during a heart-to-heart is somehow inherently disrespectful, or god forbid, predatory (especially when it comes to transfems) is something a lot of people need to unpack.

Vivziepop is still Transphobic 10 years later!
(I'm writing this as a trans non-binary person btw)
Tumblr media
Basically: "Transmen are only depressed females who are ashamed of being women" In other screenshots, she has another pfp, which people already knew she had a Blitz pfp, people thought it was fake cause of the moe pfp. But right here there was proved it was her. Dates match up and all. This is all in 2023!
Tumblr media
This is directly from Ken btw, who they were friends with- and worked on Hazbin. Also wrote a most of the fucking pilot and got ""additional writing" credits... plus the Cherry bomb thing too!
Tumblr media
"I honestly believe it's incredibly rare, VALID as hell, but rare"
Based on this few messages alone, you should realize her ""acceptance"" of trans-people is selective as fuck. She also NEEDED to state the trans people are rare, so bad here too. I as a trans person, I have always considered this a BIG red flag! Because people who say that are ready to invalidate others on the idea of "trans people are rare, you must not be trans because you don't fit my standard!"
Here she is using She/Her on Ken who uses only They/Them. She already knew Ken as a friend, so the misgendering here is just rotten.
Tumblr media
All of this is recent as fuck! Since Hazbin was getting made until 2023! This one below, of Salem, shows xe experienced the same thing during the start of Helluva Boss. (Below there is a link to a threat talking about Viv being terrible to xem!)
Tumblr media
Here also seems to be another trans character, from millie's siblings! Designed to be transmasc?
Tumblr media
Oh fuck me, never mind! They changed his design to be a cis male imp.
Tumblr media
I have already talked about how I personally feel about how Sallie may is treated! Viv treats all trans characters and people terrible, and she has something against transmasc people specially. -And for someone so selectively transphobic, with all of her comments-she is transphobic against Non-binary people! I mean, she already didn't respect the usage of them/they pronouns, so... She can not go around saying this shit of telling queer stories and people who critique me are being homophobic WHEN SHE IS LIKE THIS.
This is older, too! Viv has being transphobic back then and still is! Drawing a caricature of a transman you don't like -like this!?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is a meme video that Vivziepop did too. This is rotten. People sure can change, but this woman has being transphobic over 10 years, like... I don't know how old is this character but- you can search fan art of this character since 2015...
Again please read:

Tbh i think my main concern if we start telling kids that they could change their gender at a young age it might just confuse them? Because i feel like a lot of kids have felt at some point where they wish to be the opposite gender because of small things like wanting to be able to play with girly/boyish toys or feeling that their sibling with the opposite gender is getting more attention than they are. Children rarely knows what they want for sure and I don't think they should be given the opportunity to go through things such as transitioning since it would leave permanent effects and they might change their minds in the future (im aware that transitioning doesn't always mean taking hormones, but there has been more cases recently where parents are giving younger kids hormones and I don't want the number to increase). Idk would love to hear your opinion on this though.
This is actually a very good question because I think this is a common concern for people not super involved in trans circles.
The short answer is that there is a framework already in place for transition under the age of 18 that is designed to have limited to no permanent impacts on someone who decides to stop treatment after medically transitioning as a child. The way it works (at least in the U.S. which is what I'm familiar with) is that if you are in a state that allows children to medically transition (should be every state but that's a separate issue) there are essentially three sets of rules based on the age of the person trying to transition:
Before puberty there are no options for medical transition. If a little kid wants to wear different clothes and go by a new name and pronouns they can do that, but they're not getting prescribed anything until later.
Starting around their teen years, trans youth can be prescribed a type of medication called a puberty blocker, but still can't receive hormone replacement therapy or any kind of gender affirming surgery. Puberty blockers, the most popular of which is Lupron, are a class of medications that, when taken by a pubescent child, halt the onset of puberty. In case you don't know, the way that hormone replacement therapy works is that it's essentially a way of medically enducing a male or female puberty. Transmascs take testosterone shots which gives them more body hair, a deeper voice, and a more masculine fat distribution, while transfems take estrogen, which gives them less body hair, some breast growth, softer skin and a more feminine fat distribution.
Lupron does not have these effects. Instead of giving trans kids the puberty of their desired gender, it just stops them from experiencing the puberty of the gender they were assigned at birth. This allows their body to go either way depending on their next steps: they can either stop taking blockers and go through their AGAB puberty, albiet a little late, or switch to HRT when they turn 18 and go through their desired puberty. This gives trans teens time to think it over before they commit to a course of treatment that might have longer lasting effects (though even the effects of hormones wear off to an extent if you stop taking them like maybe I'd keep my boobs if I went off e and spiro but the rest would probably revert back to how I was when I was a man).
There's a lot of scaremongering about Lupron but the funny thing is, it's already prescribed to a lot of cis children and no one bats an eye at that. Lupron is also used as a treatment for "precocious puberty" which is when a child goes through puberty before they're supposed to, which can have some negative side effects. Lupron has been used to treat this for a while now, and while transphobes will tell you it's some sort of dangerous experimental drug with terrible side effects, the serious side effects are no more common than in any other medication we give to teens (which is to say, pretty rare), and no one was putting up a stink about it when we were giving it to cis kids. GEE I WONDER WHY 🤔🤔🤔
Once a teenager reaches adulthood, the full range of options becomes available to them in terms of trans healthcare so long as they meet the requisite psychological and social requirements.
Now there have been cases of teenagers receiving treatment that is, for lack of a better term, ahead of schedule, but these are pretty rare and tend to receive outsize attention because conservatives use them as anecdotes. It's like how, in the 90s, conservatives would point to some horrible murderer and argue that we need more policing and harsher sentences to stop people like that, when in reality, the biggest impact of those policies was that people who committed relatively minor offenses (or in some cases NO offenses) receive extremely harsh punishments. They're cherry picking corner cases and arguing that the whole system needs to be made harsher and more unforgiving to prevent a handful of instances where it failed.
But you know what IS really common? trans teens being *denied* care for arbitrary or outright bigoted reasons. Trans healthcare isn't too permissive in providing treatment to young people, it's the exact opposite: it's too restrictive. That's the real problem with trans healthcare for teens, and that's what people should be concerned about.

someone asked for the full list
Tumblr media
don't question what i use tiermaker for
Tier 1: As stated in today's fact, Shizuku and Haruka can be considered the most attractive characters in the game, as multiple characters have shown attraction to them. Shizuku moreso than Haruka, but there's not too much of a difference to separate the tiers.
Tier 2: These characters have all been stated somewhere to be attractive.
Mafuyu is considered to be outstanding in all fields, including appearance. It's occassionally commented that she is quite pretty. Ichika and KAITO's first kizuna title is "Ikemen while playing", ikemen meaning handsome or cool. Ena has a Twitter account for selfies that has a reasonable following, and she often gets comments saying that she's pretty or cute. Len has a similar sort of idol aura to Haruka does, and is referred to as 'princely'.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tier 3: These characters are never explicitly stated in the game to be attractive, but you can work it out.
A few background characters in Petit SEKAI Episode 9 mention that Akito and Toya are hot. Given that the miniseries is non-canon and a gag show it's up for debate how true this is, although it is a believable detail, hence why they're in this tier.
As for Rui, we have to look at the Valentine's Virtual Live from 2021 (wiki screenshots below). Keep in mind here that Rui is not popular in school at all and doesn't have many friends at this point in the game. He mentions that he received a few boxes of chocolate in his shoe locker on Valentine's Day, which admittedly could be platonic. However, the fact that this continues on into a joke about Tsukasa trying to claim that he got chocolates too before revealing that he got friendzoned by multiple girls (more on that in a second), makes it seem more likely that these weren't platonic. Linking back to the fact that he's not popular and doesn't really have many friends, he's probably pretty good-looking.
Tumblr media
Tier 4: An being scouted as a model was an important part of the plot of Wishing For Your Happiness Upon The Blue Sky, and it's mentioned in an area conversation that Kanade has been talent scouted for modelling before.
Tier 5: Full disclosure that probably all of the MMJ VSingers are either pretty or cute, the ones mentioned here are just the ones I remember it being stated/implied. In the April Fools 2022 area conversation with the Lukas, MMJ!Luka says that WxS!Luka is very cute. N25!Luka calls her MMJ variant out for calling herself cute, and MMJ!Luka says that she herself is cute. (TL)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kohane is mainly referred to as cute by An, which is biased, but other characters have pointed this fact out before as well, so she qualifies for this tier.
Mizuki loves cute clothes and accessories and always tries to look cute. I believe a few other characters have called them cute, but unfortunately the only instance I can actually remember is one transphobic faceless background character saying "you can't tell and they're super cute".
Also Minori and Airi are here because they're idols and have been called cute because that's part of being an idol I suppose.
Tier 6: Yes he gets his own tier because it's funny. This guy runs on rule of funny like 50% of the time. Anyway, as mentioned earlier, in the 2021 Valentine's Virtual Live, he gets annoyed when he hears Rui talking about receiving (implied romantic) chocolate and tries to claim that he too received (implied confession) chocolate, before saying too much and revealing that he only received friend chocolates that girls gave out to all the other boys as well.
Tsukasa's actually a lot more popular than Rui and doesn't have the same "outcast" reputation, plus in his A Once-In-A-Lifetime Pandemonium card story, Ibuki (Taniyama) mentions that Tsukasa's friends from class are really popular with girls, and Rui's friends are surprised he's in that kinda crowd (not that Tsukasa quite gets it). What I'm saying is that he's in a crowd of popular guys that are good with women and he's failing in that second aspect. The reason why is never stated but considering the school's resident outcast is able to get Valentine's chocolate for probably no reason other than looks, it's safe to assume Tsukasa is maybe lacking in that field.
Tumblr media
But.
I think two guys have flirted with him? One definitely has anyway. The other is more up for debate but was probably written with the intent of ship tease. Depends on how you choose to interpret it.
In other words on a scale of attractive to unattractive he's the secret 3rd option (appeals to the mlms).

Demisexual and Queer language
There's been some heated "debate" about the word demisexual and if it is necessary.
I admit there are certain words I don't really think are necessary but I sort of like the sound of, like Pansexual.
First, to be clear, Bisexual didn't originally mean "excluding nonbinary and trans." It wasn't a strict attraction to the binary. It wasn't transphobic or nonbinary-phobic. And most self-identified bisexuals, even now, do NOT heed these newly added restrictions.
Bisexual was a third option when, once upon a time, there were only two options.
Late into the 90s (and even now) there are still some gay folk who think bisexuality is a myth and you have to be attracted to one or the other, men or women, but cannot be potentially attracted to all genders / either gender.
For a lot of bisexuals the term means attraction to your own gender and all other genders. And that's what the "bi" actually means. I only like the term pansexual because of its connection to the Greek Pan.
There was even the weird stigma and notion that bisexual meant you were horny for everyone. Into the 2000s you saw this in pop culture even with beloved characters like Jack Harkness in Doctor Who and as recently as the AMC Interview with The Vampire TV show version of Lestat, where bisexual felt like code for "Horny for everything" and even physically abusive and dominating. Odd that the 90s movie depiction of Lestat felt less... negative-stereotype-y.
Anyway, for a lot of older Queer folk "bisexual" was still a new term as recently as the 90s. When David Bowie came out as bisexual in 1972 a reporter mistakenly took that to mean he had the sex organs of a man and a woman. (Source: the 1993 book "Bowie: In his own words.")
Bowie was so stigmatized by America's obsession with him being bisexual that he walked back into the closet until the mid-2000s when he came back out and admitted he had only gone back into the closet because he was sick of American reporters asking him about it. And he admitted it felt like no other country did that, just America.
And when Vincent Price's daughter found out that her father had been bisexual she ran to Roddy McDowall and confronted him by asking "Why didn't you tell me my father was bisexual?" and Roddy responded with "We didn't know the word. How can you deny something when you don't know the word?"
Tumblr media
Based on Roddy McDowall's response about Vincent Price, there are probably a lot of older and historic Queer folk who were actually bisexual but the moment they had any same-sex attraction the title of "homosexual" was pinned to them.
Language evolves for a reason. The acceptance of the idea that someone could be attracted to more than one gender is why we have the word bisexual. Demisexual has always existed, we just didn't have a term for it. Yes, there are a lot of new terms in the LGBTQAI+ spectrum. And change can be scary. This is why a lot of folk have started to positively use the term Queer, to keep things simple while also taking back a word some used to slur-like capacity. The 1963 novel The Man who fell to Earth by Walter Tevis had a line "He walked like a queer." and in the 1970s that line was changed to "He walked like a homosexual." I half-imagine that if Walter Tevis was still alive he would acknowledge the character Nathan Bryce's internalized homophobia (the character whose internal monologue uses the description) or drop the description entirely but it is interesting to note that the original wording would be more accepted today than back in 1963 when it was first published.

thoughts on marvin's abuse, care's existence and paul's transness
taking a break from my usual bg3 posting to talk a little bit about my newer hyperfixation through the lens of queer allegory
necessary author's note: i am an afab transmasculine nonbinary person. obviously, while i do believe my transness does lend my opinion authenticity, at the same time, being trans myself does not mean i can't be transphobic -- so if any of the contents of this post set off alarm bells, please tell me.
trigger & content warnings: child abuse, kidnapping, torture, general petscop badness. obvious spoilers for petscop in its entirety, as well as references to the recent youtube deepdive by nexpo.
TL;DR -- perpetuating the idea that someone can force someone else to be a different gender than they are is harmful to trans people. however, all things involve considerable nuance. to pretend that marvin's actions could not have influenced paul's sense of self in the slightest discredits paul's lived experiences, and i believe a more trauma-informed dialogue about paul could be worth exploring as a community.
my preferred theory explaining petscop is that marvin tried to make care more like lina through abuse and "failed". after this, care would eventually end up in lina's home, and transition to paul.
(simply to make all of this less confusing, i'm going to call paul pretransition "care", though i will avoid pronouns. this is not me trying to invalidate paul, it's just so i don't have to keep saying "paul before he transitioned" or similar phrases.)
it is not a result of marvin's "failure" that care transitioned to paul. but i do believe there is a link between paul's perceptions of self and the trauma he endured pretransition -- and discussing these things gives us a deeper understanding of paul and his history.
obviously there is no "canon" answer to petscop. but im seeing this theory discussed a lot within the tags, and i personally agree with it -- i just feel some of those who are saying we cannot consider marvin's actions are not necessarily accurate, either.
what i am positing is that while marvin certainly did not make paul trans and i would never claim that he did, we understand that marvin's abuse of care -- his cruelty towards care, his warping of care's perception of appearance and self-worth -- is certainly a factor in how paul must see himself.
marvin's treatment of care was poor enough that paul struggles to recall that time of his life. he thinks they are different people -- and in a way, they certainly are (and i've seen DID theories for them which i also enjoy because of this) -- and has clearly repressed what it meant to be marvin's child.
marvin locked care in a basement for six months. that is no small amount of time, and it likely had no small amount of affect on paul. we can assume based on the implications of some school scenes that marvin was trying to convince care to be more like lina during this time. care escaped, and returned home -- though eventually, we know from belle's dialogue that paul would find his way to lina.
"do you remember the day you were born?"
paul's "birth" occurred after marvin's abuse, and though it was not a result of it, there is something almost poetic about following the thread of paul's life from care to his authentic self that plays as a foil to the heinous rebirthing practiced by marvin and rainer.
contrasted with what happened to belle (and seemingly others), paul chose (a form of) rebirth -- transition. marvin tried to make lina be reborn through care. instead, care resisted -- and he would eventually become paul, and that strikes me as so narratively compelling. it's not to spite marvin and please don't think i'm saying that, as care was naturally always paul -- it is simply self-discovery at its most raw and beautiful, and i love it.
the above is why i love petscop as a queer allegory. taking ownership of one's future and selfhood, even when others are trying to tell you who to be.
and that's why i think saying marvin made his afab child transition in rejection of martin's quest for lina -- or that marvin tried to make his amab child transition to care/lina, as nexpo posited -- is so wrong, and harmful.
yet, paul's trauma is real. it happened. and it's a part of him that should be able to be discussed for what it is.
as someone with extensive trauma history, i can tell you that my gender expression and personal identity are in some way connected to pieces of trauma, because those pieces are part of me. i am not trans because of my trauma, but my gender and my trauma are parts of me at the same time -- i am not each of my pieces, but a sum of my whole.
the point i'm trying to make here is that while i think nexpo genuinely missed the mark here with this whole "care never existed, marvin tried to make paul a girl" thing, i do think there needs to be room for a trauma-informed discussion around paul.
i hope that all made sense. if any of this is harmful/transphobic, please let me know. i genuinely love this game and i think it's so fascinating to discuss. /gen

A Guide to Neopronouns
Questions, answers, usage, and helpful resources at the bottom! :D
What are neopronouns?
In simple terms, neopronouns are a category of pronouns used in the place of typical pronouns like he, she, or they.
Neopronouns allow trans people to find pronouns that fit their specific gender identity or expression if typical pronouns do not. Neopronouns can be an expression of someone's personality, gender identity, gender expression or lack thereof, and can be an act of rebellion against a binary and transphobic world.
Neopronouns (or neos) can mean different things to different people, and depending on the different pronouns. For example, I use xe/xem pronouns because I like the use of x instead of sh/h in she/he. I like the implication of the gender being completely removed from the word with an x put in its place. Also, I just like the way they look. They have good vibes.
Why are neopronouns important?
Using neopronouns correctly is just as important as using he, she, or they for someone. Using a person's correct pronouns is a sign of respect and support. Trans people use pronouns that reflect their gender identity and experience. Using the correct pronouns affirms the person's identity and helps them to them feel confident in their trans identity.
Using incorrect pronouns for someone is very hurtful. When people use the wrong pronouns for me, I feel dejected. It shows me that they do not understand, respect, or support me. It is very alienating. I feel upset, and if it goes on for a long time I start to shake and feel like I am going to cry.
In online spaces, neopronouns are even more important. I do not use neopronouns in my day to day life because it is exhausting to explain the concept of neopronouns to everyone I meet. I never know if they will be supportive, or if they will have a negative reaction, or if telling someone my neopronouns will cost me something like a job opportunity or put me in danger. In online spaces, or with my close friends, I get to be my authentic self and use the pronouns that fit me the best and makes me feel good.
How do you use neopronouns?
This is the hard part. Some neopronouns follow a conjugation pattern, but for the most part each pronoun is unique. That is part of the appeal.
I made a google doc with conjugations of 30 common neopronouns. You can find it here! I tried to include all the neopronouns I know of in my typical fandom circles. If you have a neopronoun that is not on this list, please share it with me and I will add it!
There are infinite neopronouns, and sometimes people use different conjugations of pronouns that look similar. It is always a good option to ask neopronoun user. Most of us will not be offended by this question! In fact, I love when people ask about my pronouns. It is an opportunity to teach someone new about neopronouns!
Also, you can type the pronouns into google and usually it is easy to find resources on how to use the pronouns. This is a good way to show extra support to a friend who uses neopronouns. This way, you are putting in the time and effort it takes to use their pronouns correctly.
Practice is key! If you don't put in effort and practice, they will never stick. When I was learning how to use neopronouns, I kept a screenshot of a neopronoun chart saved on my phone for reference whenever I got confused.
What if you make a mistake?
That's okay! Everyone makes mistakes sometimes. Most people will not expect you to get their neopronouns right on the very first try. For me, as long as someone is putting in genuine effort to use my neopronouns correctly, I am happy.
If you catch your mistake, correct yourself quickly and move on. For example you could say, "Oh, sorry, I mean xe," and then let the conversation continue.
If you apologize over and over or derail the conversation, it can be uncomfortable for the person who you misgendered. If you still feel guilty after the conversation, you can reach out to them individually and apologize.
If someone else corrects you, apologize or thank them, correct yourself, and move on. Here are a few sample conversations.
"I was telling them-" "Xe uses xe/xem pronouns, actually." "Oh, I'm sorry. I was telling xem..."
"I am going to ce's house." "Actually, it would be 'cer house'." "Oh ok, thank you. I am going to cer house."
"I was telling them- oh, wait, I mean I was telling xem"
Please try not to be offended if someone corrects you. It can be hard, especially if you have a condition like rejection sensitive dysphoria. If someone corrects you about their pronouns, it means they feel safe enough or trust you enough to share that with you. Your reaction will dictate if they feel safe enough to be their authentic self in front of you.
Also, if you can, correct other people if they use the wrong pronouns. It can be hard for trans people to constantly correct others about our pronouns. If you correct someone else, you are showing us your support and demonstrating to other people that our pronouns are important.
Here are some more resources about neopronouns:

Gender neutral language around the world
Neopronouns in German
Neutral pronouns in Hebrew
Neutral pronouns in Spanish
Neutral pronouns in Swedish
Neutral pronouns in French
@neopronounfaq is a very helpful blog that describes neopronoun usage
If you have any questions about neopronouns or their usage, please feel free send me an ask (anon is on) or leave a comment on this post. I'm happy to answer any questions that are asked with good intentions! I will delete and block any transphobic asks :)

So when he meets you (or you come out as trans to him) he takes time to learn some things so that you can feel more comfortable and also works on saying things properly like getting your pronouns right and the like
Steven always compliments people but he makes sure to compliment you the most. You always hear the words "beautiful/handsome" and "lovely/dashing" coming out of him
If he ever sees you looking at yourself in the mirror to check your outfit and you look slightly unsure about how you feel about it then he comes up behind you says you look great in it
If you ever feel dysphoric and have one of those days where you just don't feel like your body is reflecting who you are right, he understands in the best way he can and consoles you
"I still think you're beautiful/handsome. And it's okay if you aren't feeling that way today. You'll always be great to me."
If anyone misgenders you or uses the wrong pronouns while he's with you, he politely and quickly corrects them. He doesn't want to formulate it like they did it on purpose, he just does it quietly
He will, however, although not a fan of confrontation, tell someone to act properly if they're causing problems
Marc Spector
He's also really great
Marc takes a bit of time getting used to everything but that's just because he wants to make sure that he doesn't do anything that hurts you or makes you upset
He tries his best to help you with dysphoria and any other issues that you deal with as a trans person
"You're a woman/man to me. And, wow, are you a pretty/handsome one."
The flirt seems a bit out there but he's trying to help you by letting you know that your identity is valid to him and that he sees you in that light and always will
Not afraid to break someone's nose if they call you something nasty or say something
This man would get into a full on fist fight for you and he means that
Marc hardly speaks how he feels, except for when he thinks you look pretty and hot, which is all the time. The only emotion he voices is his attraction to you
In case someone does a double take because you don't have a corresponding voice to your appearance yet, he looks at them with a stern "What? You have a problem?" face
Jake Lockley
Marc would get in a fist fight with a transphobe... but Jake would get in a knife fight
Jake takes it upon himself to protect you if need be. Not saying that Steven and Marc wouldn't protect you too but with Jake all he really knows how to do outside of be your loving boyfriend is be a guard dog
It's his Ken job /j
If you ever feel dysphoric he places you in front of a mirror, points at your reflection, and goes "You know what I see? A hot ass woman/man. And I get to see her/him all the time."
He buys you a lot of things. Like clothes that you enjoy, perfumes/cologne, all the things you could want and make you feel more like you
Flirting comes naturally to him and he frequently calls you pretty, of course in Spanish and english
Makes it clear to everyone that you're a woman/man and if someone says something then we've already established what he'll do

why do you identify with "lesbian" if you say you're a man. A man can't be a lesbian, i don't understand it.
The whole lesbian concept excludes men bc it has nothing to do with men. Lesbian is women loving women, and if you identify as a man, i don't understand how you can identify w the lesbian community as well.
like this isba genuine question, I'd like to listen to your explanation bc im genuinely confused!
trans men, and any trans person really, cannot exist on the same binary cisgender people exist on. the binary was not made with trans people in mind, to be trans and to change your sex (which isnt limited to bottom surgery btw), would be inherently nonbinary, simply because the binary does not accommodate for trans people
beyond that, trans men dont have the same rights privileges and power that a cis man would have. meaning that while a trans man IS a man, he is not a cis man, and thus cannot experience male privilege, or the systemic power that comes with being a cis man
so we can conclude from that two things. one, trans people are inherently nonbinary. while not every trans person identified as nonbinary, the act of transitioning, socially and medically, is an inherently nonbinary act. i personally choose to identify as nonbinary to deal with the distress of people forcing me into the cis man category when i am fundementally different from them. now that we have concluded that the act of transitioning is nonbinary, let me address that: trans men have always been included in lesbianism. the communities are not seperate. the historical definition of lesbian has included gender diverse people as well as women, and trans men are still gender diverse
beyond that; a trans man identifying as a lesbian is not the same as a cis man identifying as a lesbian. the ideas that trans men are men and that trans men are NOT cis men can both be true. trans men who are attracted to women have more societally in common with lesbians (especially genderqueer lesbians) than cishet men. yes, trans men identify as straight all the time. however, if a trans man wants to identify as a lesbian, who are we to deny him? he isnt a cis man, hes not a threat to lesbianism or to the queer community.
faq:
"wouldnt identifying as a lesbian and a trans man be invalidating?"
a: different trans men have different opinions for themselves and their gender. some trans men choose to identify as straight/heterosexual, some trans men choose to identify as lesbians. it just depends on the person, however, if a trans man truly felt invalidated by the lesbian label, he just wouldn't use it. you dont get to assign rules on how a trans man chooses to identify, and you don't know him better than he knows himself
"what IS a lesbian then?"
a: the historical defintion of a lesbian is any gender diverse individual who likes women and/or gender diverse people. however, every lesbian can tell you something different. i know lesbians who only date binary women. i know lesbians who are exclusively t4t. i know lesbians who are femme4butch and date trans men who are butches. someones personal definition of their own lesbianism doesnt invalidate yours, and vice versa
"whats next, a CIS man identifying as a lesbian to cause trouble?"
a: and what if the world was made of pudding? trans men are not cis men, and to believe such is wishful thinking at best, and ultimately distressing to trans people. beyond that, i raise a counterargument of, what if we let trans people use the bathroom of their preferred gender? what would happen if a cis person used the opposite genders bathroom to cause trouble? the fact of the matter is, punishing trans people who are trying to live for the hypothetical cis person doing something wrong is transphobic and also stupid
"evan, i dont WANT to date a male lesbian/lesbian on t! what does this mean for my lesbianism?"
a: absolutely nothing! date who you want! you actually dont have to be attracted to every single person who is a lesbian! i know im not! youre allowed your preferences. i do know for a fact that some lesbians, especially under the trans/genderqueer umbrella are really into trans male lesbians and lesbians on t, but that does NOT mean that you have to be! once again, nobody elses personal definition of lesbianism can invalidate YOUR personal definition of lesbianism. im ALL ABOUT doing what you want!

It's me, the Trickster obsessed cunt again.
How would he react to a transmale reader getting un-stealthed?
(In case you don't know what stealth means; Stealth= when a trans person passes so well everyone thinks they're cis and they don't come out.)
So the reader passed well when he arrived in the entitys realm, but after a few months someone found out about about them being trans and then tells people their deadname and shows pre-transition photos ect.
(You can also do it with characters of your choice ofc as long as Trickster is one of them).
I’ve actually had a similar situation happen to me once! My resentment for the people in said situation might be showing a bit. Thank you so much for the request! :)
Tw: Transphobia and violence(towards the transphobe of course)
Killers: Trickster, Wesker, and Ghostface.
Tumblr media
Trickster:
Was he expecting you to be trans? Not exactly. Will he tolerate the bull fuckery that is happening? Fuck no!
He would firstly make sure who knew about it to be respectful. How? A small bit of broken bones.
Hey it got them to shut up right?
The next and most important thing is making sure your okay.
He would hold you, rubbing circles on your back. He’ll just be there for you.
He might even be so inclined to put on a performance to make you smile.
After he has you pretty stable he’ll ask some questions.
Nothing invasive just ways he can help next time.
“I’m so sorry this happened songbird. You’re a man, my man okay?”
You’ll stay by his side until you fall asleep. He’ll make sure your safe no matter what.
Tumblr media
Wesker:
This man is the king of damage control. He also happens to be really good at psychological mayhem.
He’ll round up everyone that knows about it. Though it was only few that really hated who you are he was going to make his point crystal clear.
Some threats and mind fuckery later he’ll start looking for you.
He’ll find you out in the woods crying. Seeing you like this breaks his heart.
He’ll hold you telling you that he got the person to stop.
He’ll tell you stories of some of his life before the fog. He makes sure to tell the funny ones.
Once he has you laughing and smiling he’ll get a bit serious.
He’ll explain that if anything happens to come to him first.
“You’re the best boy I’ve ever known. Please don’t forget that love.”
He’ll hold you until one of you have to leave. He is going to give you a kiss goodbye.
Tumblr media
Ghostface:
He stopped it very early. The asshat could only tell a few people before he put a pin in it.
He’ll threaten the others to not say a word and have his fun with the asshat.
I think you know what I mean by fun. I’ll spare you the gory details.
He’ll find you off by yourself looking destroyed.
He walks up to you and calmly sits down. He’ll pull you into his side.
This man is surprisingly good at making up stories. He’ll do anything to get you to smile.
He’ll spin stories about outcasts and mysterious murders. It somehow helped soothe you.
Once he has you calm he’ll tell you how much he cares about you.
“Sweet thing you mean the world to me. You’ll always be my good boy.”
He’ll give a little note and told you to read it when you have dysphoria.
Tumblr media
Dwight: Don’t worry it was just that one dick head. We’ll always accept you now matter what. We got to stick together right?
Reader: :’)

I have never in my life done any kind of suggestion thingy like this so uh, yea
Lloyd x Trans male reader headcanons? bonus points if the reader is also a ninja
I am not a trans male so I'm super sorry if this is inaccurate!! This is just based on what I know from others' experiences ^^" but as always please correct me if I've gotten anything wrong!
Ninjago - Lloyd With a Transmasc s/o
He instantly becomes your #1 supporter when you come out to him
Probably buys like. at least 10 trans flag pins to put on various items he owns
(he asks you if it's okay first ofc, and he never tells anyone that you're trans unless you've given him permission)
When people ask if he's trans, he's just like "no :3" *doesn't elaborate*
Because he doesn't go spilling your business to strangers 😤 (unless you're cool with it)
When you're struggling with feeling masculine, he comes up with little plans of "guy-ish" stuff to do
Unfortunately he's not the manliest man himself, so sometimes these activities are kind of weird
One time he literally just took you to chop wood with a huge ax 💀
And ofc he asks about your boundaries regarding your gender
Like how comfortable you are with femininity, if at all
I suppose what I mean here is that he's going to communicate with you so that he doesn't say anything that might trigger some gender dysphoria
Because he doesn't want that :(
But when you are feeling dysphoric, he busts out the MAN HANGOUTS (see above)
Or cuddles if you prefer :)
If you wear a binder, he always asks at the end of the day if you've taken it off yet
He doesn't want you hurting yourself (make sure to bind safely guys <3)
And if you take HRT, he'll help you remember to take that too
He'll even bring it to you and help you take it if you want!
Unless you use needles, then he's just going to squeeze your hand and look away while you do it... he is afraid of needles :(
But ofc he totally accepts you if you can't/don't use any of those things!!
To him, you're a guy. Period. No matter what you look or sound or act like, you are a dude.
And he gets so irked when anyone says otherwise
He's just like: dude. that's my boyfriend. wtf are you on about. you're just so wrong. you don't even know how wrong you are.
(^ same attitude he gets when he meets a transphobe in general tbh)
But, as much as he'd like to get all protective and educate this fool, he won't if you tell him to stop
But he will send them a snarky look and, while walking away with you hand-in-hand, say:
"Come on, Y/n. Let's get out of here."
Extra emphasis on the "Y/n" if someone dared to deadname you
OH and if you're a ninja, if any enemy tries to get transphobic with you, he totally abandons his restrained "peacekeeper" fighting style
He DESTROYS them
And when he's done he's just like "that's for being transphobic, loser >:("
Not like they can hear him... they are unconscious
Tumblr media
Aaah I hope this was okay!! ^^" Thank you for this request, and thanks so much for reading!! Take care duckies <33

The new Chris Rock comedy special was *rough*.
His acts have been deteriorating for a while now. But this was just a train wreck. He refuses to evolve and adapt. But the biggest issue... it was just a bad performance.
When I was trying to learn how to do stand up, his comedy specials were like a masterclass. Even if you didn't care for the content, his writing and delivery were always polished and razor sharp. You could tell he worked his ass off to get his material as close to perfection as possible. Probably telling the same jokes over and over at small clubs for months before filming.
A stand up joke is typically a premise a punchline and a button. The premise is usually a compelling story or anecdote, the punchline is the subversion of expectations (aka the joke), and the button is how you transition to your next premise. It allows for laughter to die down without an awkward pause. And he was such a natural. He flowed from one to the other so effortlessly. He must have practiced constantly to get his performance that smooth while making it still sound spontaneous and authentic.
But this latest act was all over the place. His delivery was forced and awkward. His transition from premise to punchline to button felt like he kept stepping on rakes. In spots it almost seemed like he was debuting brand new material that he never tested on an audience before. And he completely ruined one of his jokes near the end. Just monumentally biffed it. By the time you are filming a special, your material should be muscle memory. Sure, it was live and mistakes can happen. But usually it is a fumbled word or a stutter or something. I've never seen someone demolish their entire joke during a performance of that import.
And then there was the content. Only a few of his jokes hit. I mean, the audience was laughing in all the right spots. And there are reasons why captive audiences will do that. Especially if they are loyal lifelong fans who want to justify the price of the ticket. But I don't think I even cracked a smile.
Some of the jokes didn't even seem like jokes. He just seemed angry. Angry at women. Angry at his ex wife. Angry at Jada Pinkett Smith. He blamed her more for the slap than Will.
It all just seemed lazy--similar to Chappelle. He didn't spend much time writing. He didn't spend much time polishing. He didn't spend much time rehearsing. He didn't challenge himself to do any reinvention of his style. It was like a bad imitation of himself. As if he thought, "If I yell enough they will probably laugh and I'll get paid."
There is also this thing many comedians will do as a sort of challenge. They will take a controversial topic that other comics have gotten in trouble for and they will try to find a way to make similar jokes without consequences. The idea is to come as close to the line as possible without crossing it. George Carlin's Porky Pig rape joke is a famous example.
So Mr. Rock decided to give his views on transgender folks.
Because of course he did.
I knew exactly what he was doing the second he started talking about trans people. He wanted to succeed where Chappelle failed and his approach was... transparent.
Chris claimed *he* wasn't transphobic because he was "an artist." And if his dad was trans he would be completely okay with it. He repeated this like 50 times to make sure people knew he was not transphobic. And then he devised a super duper non-obvious clever scheme for how he could still tell transphobic jokes without appearing transphobic.
He told the jokes as his less enlightened "truck driving" older brother.
BRILLIANT!
It wasn't HIM saying transphobic stuff, it was just what he imagined his older brother would say if their father were a woman. And then he did nothing to show that his imaginary "brother" was in the wrong.
So if you have a problem, please send all complaints to his brother who never actually said any of those things and not the person who actually manifested those thoughts and repeated them to millions.
The cherry on top of his transgender material?
The One Joke™.
Yep. He did the whole "I identify as..." and "my pronouns are..." and it was just sad.
Instead of "Selective Outrage" I think his act should have been called, "Let me explain why I am bitter about women taking my money and I don't care if you laugh or not."

Ace Markey haters.
PLEASE NOTE!!: There will ALWAYS be someone who disagrees with you about something, and/or doesn't like you. So unless if you have either some constructive criticism, or you're going to express how you agree. Don't bother being annoying and commenting something hateful, it makes you look dumb in the end. Not me. Anyways. I don't like most Ace haters. It just seems like they're hating him just because they can. Maybe I just haven't seen any actual logical argument, but a lot of things I've heard were that "He's ugly" or he is a bully. Literally no one cares if you think he is ugly or not. Beauty is subjective. Let's just get that out of the way. ⛦ As for him being a bully. I actually think that's an understandable thing to not like someone for. Me personally, I like antagonizing characters but I know that's not everyones cup of tea. But if you're going to make that argument, you also need to keep in mind that the way he starts yelling and him bullying the cast are two different things. Not to mention that Ace does everything for a reason. And he doesn't willingly get mad at people and shit for no reason. As shown right here:
Tumblr media
🐴-"You think I act like this for fun?" The way he said this is obvious proof that he doesn't just go around blowing up on people for fun. In fact he really doesn't like it. Though going back to the bullying parts, I suppose that in scenes like this:
Tumblr media
He does actively go out of his way to pick on others. Calling people losers is not a nice thing to say to people. So if you're someone who likes mostly nice and caring characters, then he isn't going to be your type. And that's fine. ⛦ People also say that they don't like Ace because he's "transphobic"? That is not true, and let me tell you why. Here in this scene:
Tumblr media
Ace threatens to expose Nico's secret. Nico's secret is that they're Nonbinary. However, Ace didn't know this at the time. Sure he knew that their secret said "No one accepted you because of your identity" But as proven in this scene here:
Tumblr media
Ace didn't know what that meant due to how vaguely worded it was. And it's not like he was the only one who didn't understand it.
Tumblr media
⭐- "I'm sorry, but I have no clue what this means" David also didn't know what it meant. In fact he was the first one to mention it since he read Nico's secret outloud. Therefore you can not use Ace being "transphobic" as an excuse to hate him because it's not true. To add on to this, Ace actually uses Nico's correct pronouns after learning that they're nonbinary. As shown here:
Tumblr media
🐴- "Did THEY tell you?" Ace said they, not he. And as far as I could remember, Ace didn't make any transphobic comments against Nico. Because you can obviously be transphobic while using someones correct pronouns. Ace doesn't say anything about their identity, but instead just use their pronouns. ⛦ I really don't like when people say "Nico ate when they tried to kill him" "Hu ate when she slapped him" ect ect. Like no all 3 of them are wrong. Maybe less of Hu but still. Ace shouldn't have provoked them, Nico should have thought about the consequences when commiting a murder instead of acting based on their feelings, and Hu shouldn't be going around slapping people. 💀 Though I do think it was good that Hu stepped in to shut Ace up. She shouldn't have stood there and watched it happen. Just, don't slap people??? But yeah between Ace and Nico its just like J said:
Tumblr media
🎧- "Basically, you both suck and are wrong!" Be like her!!! ⛦ All in all, I'm not saying theres something wrong with not liking a character. But for what I can remember, those are the only reasons why people say they hate him. So I just needed to prove to them that their way of thinking is wrong. But if you don't like him because you think hes ugly, annoying, a bully, ect ect basically anything subjective then good for you. I don't like Hu despite a lot of people liking her. It just seems that Ace fans don't ever back up anything they say when they wanna prove something. ⛦ IF THERE'S SOMETHING YOU DISAGREE WITH, OR WANNA ADD ONTO THIS THEN GO AHEAD! LEAVE A COMMENT! Just be RESPECTFUL and use common sense.

I think we, as a community, should start to reclaim the word "queer" as an umbrella term for us, instead of adding letters to "LGBT".
Why? Because let's be honest, that letter soup is starting to get ridiculous. I can't be the only one who doesn't like to say every single letter of "LGBTQIAP+" when talking about my community.
It not only sounds extremely weird, but it's also getting harder to say. Plus this term makes us seem even more like "just special snowflakes and attention seekers" in the eyes of homophobic, transphobic, etc, people.
Don't get me wrong, I understand the idea behind it. With every letter standing for another sexuality, gender, or similar.
But calling out those specific ones, makes it look like any people who don't fall under those letters aren't worth representing. What about genderfluid or non-binary people for example?
We could argue for hours about that, but it just shows one of many problems this letter soup has. You'll NEVER be able to represent all by adding more and more letters.
Because something as complex as sexuality, gender and sex are not just a "rainbow spectrum" that goes from violet to red and that's it. And even if that was the case, they're still hundreds of different shades, that are too complex to really categorize. It's the reason we have so incredibly many labels in the first place.
I like to imagine queerness always starting with a "rainbow spectrum", (seeing it as the general direction you're taking, for example with homosexual represented by red) with all the different shades of the color, of the color you're choosing, being a more specific label under the umbrella term (for example a shade of "light pink" standing for lesbian).
I know that the word "queer" was used as a slur against us at some point. Coming from the German word "quer", which can bei used in German slang for "weird", "odd", "strange" or simply "out of the ordinary". Take the German word "Querdenker" for example, in English meaning "lateral thinker", aka someone who uses an unusual way of thinking to solve a problem.
But words can only have the meaning that we give it. Words can only have as much power as we give it. And on top of that, words, just like symbols, can change their meanings over time.
An example I really like to take for that, correct me if I'm wrong, is the word "punk" which was and still is used in a bunch of different contexts. Often as an insult, or a slur towards people who didn't/don't fit the norm. But now the day it's rather associated with positive things, such as music and a rebellious style choice.
So why shouldn't we reclaim the word "queer" as well? Why shouldn't we tell those homophobic, transphobic, etc people "Yes, we are not like you. Yes, we are different. Yes, we are 'quer'. But we're proud to be this way!" ?
Why shouldn't we show those people that they can't use the word "queer" as a slur against us anymore? Why shouldn't we attack them with their own weapons, using their own vocabulary against them?
It's so much more inclusive than "LGBTQIAP+" or "LGBTQIA+" could ever be. Plus it's something our community has identified with for decates, even if it's just subconsciously. Take "genderqueer" for example. "Queer" is even in the letter soup, the letter "Q" standing for it.
What do you guys think? And what's your opinion about this topic? I'd love to hear your thoughts! Especially if you're part of this colorful community!

TW transphobia
Ok I'm honestly terrified. I'm terrified of.. T*rfs.
Yes. I feel like they will never ever see me as my gender (I don't even want to say what gender I am because I'm aware that they can see this) and what if they are right?? Why if Im just very disordered so is my own thinking?
Also I feel like they always know what it's your agab..
I don't want to be trans if this is how other people perceive me. I feel like I'm pretend to be *this* gender while my true self is what my agab is.
And I'm wrong about who I am.
Even my biggest gender euphoria can dissappear just like that if I see something what they are saying about people like me.
hey i just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to send this message because i think this is an important thing to address!
that's what they want you to think, but it's not true. if you take a look at posts where these people attempt to "analyze" pictures of strangers and celebrities to figure out their agab, they will always be wrong and make transphobic assumptions about cis people.
terfs are not smart! they want you to think they are, but they're very far from it. they are making incorrect assumptions about biology when they point out who they think they know is trans. they don't even understand what intersex people are, or the fact that we exist! they don't even understand that someone could look the way a trans person does without ever having touched hormones, themselves. they don't understand that any type of person can have a uterus- strangers cannot ascertain your agab magically just by looking at you. that is your most close guarded secret and nobody can "tell" just by looking at you
trans and intersex people have shown and proven time and time again that you don't know what someone's biology is for sure unless you are that person and their medical professionals. these people want you to think that they're these big scary investigators who are smarter than you, but they're bullies who react to the smallest deviation from what THEY consider to be the norm
you are not in danger of these people if you block and move on accordingly: terfs only have the illusion of power online because they are hiding behind the shield of relative anonymity to bully oppressed people. they're not smarter than you or me or anyone- they're just aggressive, mean, and targeting vulnerable people. they don't know anything about you inherently just by looking for you- they don't have tranny vision. they think they do, but they can't tell a rock from a diamond
they want to scare you because they're scared. they want to seem scary, but they're too afraid to show their faces or voice themselves in a way that extends beyond bullying teenagers online. they are weak. they aren't activists. they aren't helping anyone. you know yourself better than anyone else, you know who you are. you are the arbiter of your lived experience and no matter what someone guesses about you, they'll never be right. it's a guess, not an objective truth. they don't live in your head
hope that helps a bit! they're big dumb bullies who think making minors and trans people feel bad about themselves will somehow help women. it's not worth your time, i know it sucks to think about, but they are not as scary as they make themselves seen. worry about you, you do you. you got this. take care, stay safe, good luck out there
