WRAPPING PRESENTS
˚✧₊ FT. TETSURO KUROO
Tumblr media
satorisoup christmas event! ⛄️
˚✧₊ A/N : im so glad you like my work! eee thank u so much. RAWRWRWR kuroo my beloved.
˚✧₊ WARNINGS : f!reader. pet names (baby). mentions of smut ( in a book ).
Tumblr media
oh, what a mess this is.
there’s red and green tissue paper and random pieces of tape sprewn across the floor, scrap paper littering your living room so much so that the hardwood is barely visible. but kuroo can’t help but smile.
you’re sitting criss cross in front of him telling him each gifts purpose and who its for, spilling out story after story and he listens intently while he cuts some snowman kitty wrapping paper that you insisted on buying.
“and this one, dont even get me started. it’s for akaashi.”
kuroo looks up at what your holding as you let out a few stiffled giggles.
“what’s the story behind that one?” he asks.
“you know how he likes to read, obviously. but he’s always reading these super boring, dull books. so… i got him this one.”
your laughter starts spilling out more now as kuroo grabs the book your holding, eyeing it closer before his own chuckle is filling your ears.
“no way, you got akaashi a smut book?”
you’re now holding your own chest as laughter rumbles between the two of you.
“yes! oh my god imagine his face when he opens it! its the perfect gag gift, dont tell me it isn’t!” you say between breaths.
“very good thinking, baby.” kuroo replies.
you both continue to wrap your gifts in cheesy wrapping paper and shiny bows, adding commentary and laughter with each one.
“bo is SO going to love this one”
“i think i might get a reaction out of kenma for this.”
“look! doesn’t this seem like something atsumu would buy?”
and when its finally time to wrap the presents you both got for eachother in different rooms, kuroo smiles to himself.
yes, even though akaashi will probably stiffen in his seat and glare at you when he opens his book,
even if kenma will probably only mutter a “thank you”,
even if bokuto might accidentally ruin his gift two days after he opens it,
and even if you might cry out of joy when you open the ring he had wrapped as neatly as he could,
it would always be worth the mess.

The front door opens, making you look up from your phone. Your husband walks in with two bags, which makes you curious. You stand up, following him to the kitchen to take a peak in the bags, only for him to wrap his arms around your waist and spin you. You smile, embracing him back.
He kisses you gently, caressing your cheek and pushing a strand of hair away from your face. He lifts you up a little, making you sit on the on the cupboard. He nuzzles his head against your neck, humming softly.
“You smell divine, dear. Is that a new perfume?„ he asks in a giggle. He always knows when you try something new. You don't answer directly. Instead, you pout and glance over the bags.
“What's in there?„ you ask. His head peeks up, a cunning smile forming on his lips. “Why? Are you curious, little bunny?„ blush quickly makes its way to your cheeks, instinctively making you push him away.
Jumping to have your feet on the ground again, you feverishly shake your head. You can't let him be right, can you?
You can feel his hand going at your low back to lead you toward the living room. “Let me enjoy you. Work is exhausting, but it's been better ever since you are around.„ you know how important you are for him. Without you, his days would be monotonous, without anything beside work. But now that you are here, he is always so excited to get home, like a puppy about to get a treat.
He sits on the sofa, pulling you in his lap as he rests his head on your shoulder. He closes his eyes, squeezing you against him. It makes you quietly chuckle.
His phone rings, but when he sees who it's from, he throws it at the other side of the sofa. “It can wait. For now, I just want to be with you only.„
He is never one to dismiss anyone, but now that he has you, he has to set up boundaries. Once he's home and there's no urgency, everyone could wait.
His gaze scans the room, and he can't help it. He smiles at your decorations and Christmas tree. The two days he spent with you to do it have been worth it. He loves to know you've made it together.
And he knows what he bought will make you happy. Right after making you feel desperate. He is so excited to see your reaction. But for now, he just wants to hold you close and watch silly things over your phone.
And so you two did. For two good hours.
It's only after those two hours that he stands up and gestures for you to follow him. “I know you've been dead curious, and it might be the moment... Perhaps, you'll be so disappointed in me that you'll divorce.„ he jokes. But he still has this little fear deep inside. Even if he knows that would never happen.
He picks a curtain from the bag, only to reveal snowy patterns all over it. And another one with a snowman. And even more with some other scenes and winter themed decor. He even shows some winter and Christmas themed sheets...
An he has been right. You sigh in desperation, feeling like this is all a joke. But once you assimilated what happened and his goofy surprise, you burst in laugher. That is the whole reason why you love him. Just from seeing you so happy about Christmas, he bought all of that.
In a way, he is so careful and attentive to the tiniest of your action and word.
After he places it all over the kitchen table, you run to jump in his arms, wrapping yours around his neck. He catches you, stroking your back gently.
“... Don't ever change. You are the best husband anyone could have.„ you mutter against his chest. You would never change even for someone richer or prettier. You'd stay with him until the end, because he's all that you ever need.
“I know I'm often busy with work, but when I can surprise you, I'd do it. I hope you'll keep loving me through all. Because it definitely won't be the last time I'll do something stupid for you.„
He holds you close to his chest, internally terrified you'd leave, but also in peace to know he's all you ever want.
And he could only want you. No one could love him like you do. He isn't willing to let you go. Not now, not ever.

K-Pop Spotlight: ITZY
ITZY is back on the scene with their new mini-album <CHESHIRE> and a message: there’s no need to overthink if you always trust your intuition. After all, we’re all mad here. To celebrate the new release, we caught up with ITZY to talk about their four new tracks and their favorite tour stages. And, as winter approaches, of course, their favorite snowy day activities. Check out our full interview below!
Tell us about your new mini-album <CHESHIRE> and what you hope fans take away from it.
Lia: This album <CHESHIRE> consists of four tracks. The title song, “Cheshire,” conveys a message of trusting your feelings because there is no right answer amid numerous unclear questions and concerns. “Snowy,” “Freaky,” and the single in English, “Boys Like You,” which was pre-released in October, are also included. We hope you show us a lot of love!
How does the sound and concept of <CHESHIRE> differ from your last release, CHECKMATE?
Chaeryeong: The biggest difference is in the mood of the title song. “SNEAKERS” was refreshing and energetic, while in the new title track, our message blends with a more mysterious vibe.
Congrats on your English single “Boys Like You”—tell us a little about what it’s been like to get to sing that song with your fans on tour!
Yeji: I’m glad we were able to produce a song in the spirit of Highteen as a gift to our fans. We were so happy that the reaction was even more positive than we had expected.
Lia: Thankfully, we were able to show the live performance on our tour. Because the entire text of the lyrics was in English, many more people could enjoy it. It was tons of fun.
What were your favorite tour stages? Are there any solo songs you wish you had gotten the chance to perform?
Yeji: I like “Free Fall,” and it’s very popular among our fans, too. So I’m glad we got to perform it during our tour. Being on stage is an unending source of joy. I would also like to try Yuna’s “Maniac.” The performance is beautiful, and the song itself is exciting. It just makes me want to feel it firsthand. Of course, Yuna’s performance is just amazing.
Yuna: I personally really like “Free Fall.”
One of the new songs on your mini-album is called “Snowy”—what are some of your favorite snowy day activities?
Ryujin: I like to go for a slow walk when it snows. I also enjoy looking at the Han river when it freezes!
Lia: If there’s enough snow, I always try to make a snowman!
Yuna: I really enjoy riding on a sled. I always have had since I was a kid.
What are your must-have items when you’re on the road/abroad?
Chaeryeong: I usually watch videos or listen to some songs, so headphones are a must!
Ryujin: I really like ramyeon. So I take a cup of ramyeon with me wherever I go.
As we approach 2023, what are your biggest goals for next year?
Lia: I hope that next year, we will have the opportunity to take another step forward and grow and present our music to more people.
Chaeryeong: In 2023, we want to show that ITZY still has a lot to give, and our goal is to deliver our positive energy to more people.
Want more ITZY? Check out their new mini-album <CHESHIRE> and the music video for the title track “Cheshire,” both out now!

the magic of snow
for @steddieholidaydrabbles prompt 'snow' rated t wc: 723 tags: snow activities, making childhood memories as an adult, fluff, established relationship
---------------------------
The snow had only been falling for an hour when Eddie crashed into the trailer, door banging into the wall and cold seeping into Steve's bones quickly.
"Put on your gloves!" He exclaimed, barely maintaining his balance as he walked over to where Steve was bundled up under his blanket on the couch.
"Um. Why? Are the kids okay?" Steve asked, suddenly worrying that something was very wrong.
Eddie rolled his eyes. "Everything's fine. We're gonna go make snowmen.
"We are?"
Eddie nodded, pulling the blanket off of him and tugging Steve to his feet.
"Meet you outside!" Eddie planted a kiss on his lips before running back outside.
Steve couldn't help smiling as he made his way to their bedroom to pile on some layers and search for gloves that he wasn't sure had been unpacked yet.
He'd only been living with Eddie and Wayne for a little over a week, and had been working double shifts for most of it, so unpacking had not been a priority.
He managed to find everything he needed quickly -- benefits of having very few things of his own -- and made his way outside.
Eddie had already started piling some snow together into something somewhat resembling a ball.
"Stevie! You can start making the middle while I make the bottom."
Steve stared at the snow covered ground and then at the ball Eddie was rolling.
He huffed and leaned down, making a snowball to the best of his ability.
He'd made a few in middle school, pretended to participate in the schoolyard battles, but mostly just hiding behind something until it ended.
He wasn't allowed to go home with wet clothes, so he didn't want to risk it.
"Steve, what are you doing?" Eddie was next to him, looking down at his very clumpy, not-ball of snow.
"I...don't actually know."
"What? Have you never built a snowman before?" Eddie laughed.
"No."
Eddie's face fell as he took in Steve's serious tone.
"You really haven't? Not even when you were little?" Eddie sounded heartbroken.
"It's not a big deal," Steve shrugged.
But Eddie's reaction was making him feel like maybe it was a big deal. Maybe he had missed something by not getting to play in the snow as a kid.
"Do you want me to show you how to do it?" Eddie asked, putting his hand on Steve's hip.
Steve was well aware they had to be careful in public, but the only person who would even notice the touch was Ms. Tremblay next door and her truck wasn't in the yard. He glanced over his shoulder to make sure no cars were driving by before leaning in to peck Eddie's lips.
"Please."
Steve watched as Eddie walked him through all the right ways to make a snowman, found any excuse to touch him while they worked on building the body, laughed when he managed to slip some snow under his shirt.
"That's cold!" Eddie squeaked.
"I can warm you up later," Steve winked.
Eddie's eyes squinted back at him.
"You're distracting me."
"I promise I'm paying attention to your lesson."
"Then you know the last part is the face. We need a carrot, something for his eyes and mouth, and sticks for his arms."
"Shouldn't he also have buttons?" Steve asked.
"If you want him to, he can."
Steve ran inside to retrieve what he could, not surprised to find they were lacking a carrot. Eddie and Wayne hated carrots and practically begged Steve to never buy them.
But he did manage to find a zucchini, and that would have to do.
As they finished up, Eddie not even questioning the zucchini nose, Steve couldn't help but smile to himself.
He didn't have much of a childhood, at least not one that he could look back on and have memories of playing in the snow.
But maybe he was meant to do this with Eddie all along.
Maybe the magic of the first big snowfall was meant to be a big moment for him, shared with Eddie, who made everything in Steve's life better.
"I love you," Steve said from the ground, his pants getting soaked through.
Surely, he'd be frozen solid in the next few minutes.
But when Eddie turned to him with a grin and said he loved him too, Steve felt warm.

New Vegas companions + reaction to it snowing? I live on the east coast so I don't know what living in a desert is like but I imagine it doesn't snow much :-D
FNV Companions Reactions to it Snowing
➼ Word Count » 0.6k ➼ Warnings » None ➼ Genre » Platonic ➼ A/N » aw, nonnie, reading you're request made me laugh 😭
Boone isn’t bothered by the cold, but he is bothered about having to wear a jacket. He thinks it restricts his movements too much, which causes him to be more on edge about things. He'd much rather be freezing than unprepared, and he refuses to budge on his stance that it makes him less prepared for any possible legion ambushes. The snow makes him a bit antsy in that regard. Not only is he now easier to spot, especially with his beret, but his motions are also limited.
Arcade is one of those people who get cold ridiculously fast, so when it starts snowing for the first time in his life, he'll be in for a rude awakening. Living his whole life in a desert has not prepared him at all for this sudden drop in temperature. He'll be shaking violently the entire time and will beg to go inside--start a fire, anything! He'll be miserable throughout most of it, however, he does like watching it fall from the opening in his tent. He has to admit, it is fairly soothing, and when else will it snow again out here in the Mojave?
Raul’s seen snow once or twice before in his lifetime, but he never imagined he’d ever see it again. It really is a treat, and he can’t help but stand out and stare up at the sky in awe, even if he is freezing. It never snowed much in Mexico, but in those rare few moments that it did, he and his siblings would all go out and play in it before it'd melt away. Seeing it again brings him back to those times, and he can’t help but smile at the memory.
Lily adores the snow and will force you to go out and play in it because “these kinda things only happen every so often!”. She’ll bundle you up in some of her older clothes and teach you how to build a snowman, just like her grandkids used to do it. She's dead set on making memories with you and will force you to take this day off from doing quests to hang out with her. Just be sure not to ask about snowball fights. Leo likes to dominate in those.
Cass finds it to be more of a nuisance than anything, especially for the caravans. How does anyone expect to make it anywhere when the Brahmin are struggling just to walk? Don't even get her started on how cold she is. She hates every second of it and will spend her time inside the nearest bar, forced to listen to the excited chatter and watch as the crowds around the windows and doors grow larger. She's gonna need another bottle...
Veronica’s just glad her robes finally have a use for her. She’ll be the warmest person out there with her thick, dark scribe hood. She’s read about snow once before in some old Brotherhood logs, but seeing it in person really beats the excerpt she read. I mean, honestly, how could someone write such a boring description when experiencing something so beautiful? She loves it and would gladly sit out in the cold for hours just so she can soak it all in before it goes away. If anything, she finds this more of a reason for her chapter to finally leave the bunker and experience life outside.
ED-E gets an absolute kick out of it until the ice freezes his cybernetics. Then he just lays in the snow until someone comes to get him.
Rex will just sit and stare at it. But when someone walks by with a wool hat on their head, he'll go out and chase them. Only then will he discover how much fun the snow is and how much nicer it is on his paws compared to the rough, hot sand he usually stands on.

Also let’s talk about how the crown affected Farmworld Finn and the Winter King
Finn Mertens isn’t the warm(get it), happy guy we’re used to. He’s still protective and badass, but he stays out of trouble. Some of it is clearly just the world he lives in — the Farmworld isn’t the safest place overall — but he shuts down at the mention of the crown. The opening scene of Destiny shows the “Snowman” attack a family, including a baby, potentially killing them — even if he doesn’t really remember that (like Simon only has fuzzy memories of being Ice King), the knowledge alone is enough to haunt someone for the rest of their life
Winter King, meanwhile, was clearly living in denial — he redirects attention to all the gifts he could give than focus on his time as Ice King, he refuses to admit the awful thing he did to his Princess Bubblegum, and he claims not to remember Betty before suggesting Simon replace her with magic. This last bit, he tries to play it off as a joke and calls it unethical, but we see an Ice Marcy in the castle — he’s aware that the shit he pulls is messed up and he’s fine with hiding it.
The thing is, he lived with the curse for like 900-ish years before finding a way to offload most of the curse onto another person. Candy Queen is a danger to him, and even if she isn’t he clearly doesn’t enjoy her being around him. But he’s choosing to let her keep existing — he’s chosen for years to let someone else suffer the way he suffered, because he’d rather face inconvenience/danger/the knowledge of how fucked up his actions are than go back to the crown
Let’s look at how these two compare to Simon — while he’s overall been more alright with talking about the way the crown affected him than Finn Mertens, he’s also willing to go back to it. Sure, Ice King doesn’t have the weight of fairly recent human murders on his back, but the guy was technically a villain and did hurt people. On the other hand, neither of them are coping with the crown’s aftermath well. Finn and Simon both seem to have unhealthy relationships with alcohol to cope with the crown — Simon’s shown binge drinking and seems to be a regular at the bar. Finn on the other hand has children and is clearly doing his best to provide to them, so I doubt he gets wasted often, and the one time Jay said he did, it seemed like an accident, but it’s notable that the only time he was willing to talk about his trauma was after he had gotten drunk
That lack of warmth (get it lol get it) I mentioned earlier is something they both share as well. Finn still has his Jake and clearly loves his dog, but he pulls his daughter away from Jake to have her do chores, even though Jake was clearly itchy and very much doesn’t have the strength or flexibility to properly scratch the itch. Finn’s children are well cared for, but quiet. They clearly don’t expect much affection from their father, and seem pretty used to him being unhappy/short with them. Simon, meanwhile, shows remorse for making Astrid cry but doesn’t make up for it when she returns. He isn’t reaching out to Marceline, even though she’s basically his daughter and would totally welcome him around (plus Bubblegum seems pretty happy to hear from him as well). It had only called back later or something, they could’ve talked about how he was trying, he clearly was, but he still needs help.
They also share an aversion to cold it seems — Simon’s reaction to the ice in his drink, all the times Finn Mertens stares into open fire (though maybe there’s a chance his wife could’ve been the Farmworld’s equipment of Flame Princess, but you gotta admit this series is really leaning into Finn/Huntress Wizard). It’s notable that, after wheedling ice magic as a teenager, the adult Finn Mertens builds a flamethrower into his prosthetic arm
Simon and Winter King, meanwhile, have some interesting parallels in how they treat Fionna and others. Simon’s so at the end of his rope and not coping that he’s willing to return to mental hell, essentially go though with magical suicide, under the guise of helping Fionna and Cake. Sure, his desire to help them is genuine, but his self sacrifice here is deeply unhealthy. Winter King is meanwhile behaving horrifyingly selfish, but with equally desperate motivations (the PB/CQ situation), and he’s hiding behind it by giving out presents and entertainment. He’s genuinely fulfilling Cake and Fionna’s wishes, and is sincerely trying to fulfill’s Simon’s “need” for a new crown. He’s gleefully giving them tours and playing games and inviting Simon into his lab. Shoot, he doesn’t have to use magic to give Cake Wi-Fi but he does anyway
The difference is that Simon is doing something self destructive with his need to help Fionna, while Winter King is distracting from how destructive his actions are by giving Fionna what she wants
Then there’s their respective Bettys. Simon’s not coping with losing Betty, like, at all. She either doesn’t exist anymore or she’s more or less become a god. He’s trying to summon a way to her instead of living his life. Winter King meanwhile is acting like Betty meant nothing to him. Sure, he’s had at least a hundred years to properly work through her death, but like. He’s a Simon. And he seems to have even less of a support system than our Simon — his only friends are a couple of ice people he made. Dude totally hasn’t sat down with his grief to work through it. He clearly isn’t letting the past go even though he’s acting like it doesn’t matter to him (the Ice Marcy thing)
I don’t have a conclusion, other than like. Ya know. The crown hurts people. And clearly the multiverse doesn’t have a therapist that specializes in helping people working through that pain

⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ ⋆✦⋆ ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
Donghyuck absolutely loved anything and everything that his children made. With having three children all aged within elementary school and pre-school it was constant. The paintings, drawings, sewing projects, clay models, posters, easter cards, father’s day cards, halloween cards, and pictures made from stuck down seeds, stones or other random materials. Donghyuck cherished every single one of these art pieces, insisting to you that each child was a prodigy and was going to make it big as an artist one day. He kept everything in a box under the bed, treating them as keepsakes for the future and almost like reassurance that his children’s creative minds are alive and blossoming. So when this year, you wanted to have his Christmas presents be a bit more personal, you thought a card was a perfect place to start.
He was out of on schedules for a lot of the day, leaving you plenty of time to have the kids make three individual cards for Donghyuck. You practically bought all of the craft stores stock, barely any of your dining room table could be seen underneath.
‘Have you guys thought about what you’re going to draw on daddy’s card?’ you ask, hoping to pick their brains a little.
‘I-I’m going draw daddy, dancing as Santa,’ Sunhee chirps, grabbing a red crayon from the carton.
‘I’m sure he’ll love that,’ you chuckle, ‘what about you, Kyungah?’
‘I think I’ll do a snowman,’ she purses her lips, in thought, ‘I think I’ll use black card and the special pen.’
‘Good choice,’ you nod, ‘Dalgun?’
‘I’m not sure yet, still thinking..’
You do some work of your own while the kids craft, going through bills and finances and other things that needed organised.
’Sunhee!’ Kyungah suddenly exclaims, prompting your head to snap up.
There’s a patch of silver glitter across the table, from a tall pot. Sunhee looks mortified, quickly turning to look at you and gage your reaction.
‘It’s okay Sunhee, accidents happen,’ you give her shoulder a reassuring pat, ‘it can be cleaned up.’
You grab a dustpan, quickly sweeping up the glitter from the table and throwing it into the dustbin.
‘Do you want some help?’ you ask Sunhee, who’s card is covered in red, green and blue scribbles, and now specks of silver glitter.
‘I think I’m done,’ she examines her work.
‘Would you like mummy/mommy to write the message for you?’
‘Please,’ she nods, before deciding she’s well and truly finished with the task, hopping off her chair and running into the living room, where you can thankfully still see her as she plays.
You write down a message for Donghyuck, signing Sunhee’s name for her, since she hadn’t learned to write yet. Kyungah and Dalgun finish up their cards and write their own messages.
Donghyuck doesn’t arrive home until late, way past your daughter’s bedtimes, and a little past Dalgun’s.
‘Have the kids been okay today?’ he asks you as he finally gets into bed, sinking into the mattress with a deep sigh.
‘Yeah, we had a fun day,’ you grin, settling into his arms, ‘the kids made a surprise for you.’
‘Oh really?’
‘Yeah, give it to you tomorrow.’
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ ⋆✦⋆ ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
‘Dada!’
‘Hello my angel,’ Donghyuck lifts Sunhee into his arms, ‘good morning.’
‘Daddy, we have a surprise for you,’ Kyungah holds out the three envelopes, two with ‘Dad’ and ‘Daddy’ written in Dalgun and Kyungah’s handwriting, the other with ‘Dada’ written in yours.
‘Ah, what’s this?’ Donghyuck coos, ‘you three are so cute! Which one should I open first?’
‘Let’s go youngest to oldest,’ you suggest, preventing a possible argument from breaking out.
Donghyuck opens the envelope with ‘Dada’ written on, face breaking into a huge smile when he sees that Sunhee has made the card herself.
‘What’s this?’
‘Daddy dressed like Santa, on the stage.’
‘Oh, of course,’ Donghyuck smacks himself on the head as if he’s said something completely stupid, ‘I love it, you drew so well, Sunhee!’
‘Me next!’ Kyungah chimes in.
Donghyuck opens the next envelope, pulling out a drawing on black card of a Snowman in the snow, drawn with a special white pen that shows up on the black paper.
’Kyungah, you’re so great at drawing,’ Donghyuck praises, ‘it’s really neat!’
‘Thank you daddy,’ she says shyly.
‘Now,’ Donghyuck opens the card, ‘To Daddy, I hope we can have a fun Christmas together. I miss you. Love from Kyungah.. Ah, come here.’
He pulls his older daughter into a hug, ‘I miss you too, Kyungie. Thank you, I love my card.’
’Time for Dalgun,’ you say, Donghyuck quickly unsealing the envelope, and pulling out a card.
You feel a pull on your heartstrings when you realise Dalgun has drawn a family portrait, the five of you in front of a big Christmas tree.
‘Ah, Dalgun, I love it,’ Donghyuck looks genuinely incredibly moved, full of pride by what his children have made for him.
’To Dad, Merry Christmas, you’re the coolest. From Dalgunie. Ah thank you, son. The three- the four of you are amazing.’
‘Ok, family hug,’ you hold out your arms, the rest of the family joining in.
‘Right, let’s get these straight on the mantelpiece.’

thank youu<3
kinda hate this but i have a writer block rn
Mr. Snowman
summary: a fire ghoul in the snow uh?
Tumblr media
snow falling, softly , silently , you were looking at it trough the window of the living room, Curled up in a blanket ,on the couch ,with hot chocolate in your hand, and the fire ghoul was hugging you tightly. The fire ghoul didn't really like snow, snow means cold, cold means dew spending more energy to keep himself warm, spending energy means begin tired, and he didn't like begin tired, expect if he could sleep hugging you tightly.
Can we go and play with the snow?" you asked passing your free hand in his hair, the ghoul raised his head and gave you a "are you serious " look.
"i know, i know freeze cold warm spending energy bla bla bla" you said, the ghoul lowered his head again and sank into your chest.
"pleaseee i do something in exchange if we go outside and play with the snow" dew raised his head again, this time he looked more interested
"Come on what you want me to do?" you asked , in response dew stood up, stole the mug from your hand and placed it on the coffee table and grabbed your harm pulling you out of the couch
"Come on we're going to play on the snow!!" he said kinda exaited
"oh no i'm scared of what you will make me do in exchange " you said responding at the reaction of your boy
"shhh don't worry about it now, now go and put something warmer i wait you on the front door come on" said dew.
-----------------------------------------------
you walked out of your room, you wore something warmer, a white hat and scarf, and white gloves. Arrived in front of the door you found dew already waiting for you, he was also wearing a red scarf a black hat and black gloves, and probably more than two layers of clothes and a coat on top.
"why are you looking at me like this?" asked dew
"you look like a bundle" you giggled "Now lets go!" you grabbed dew's hand and pulled him out of the door , snow covered the entire garden, you walked out of the porch , snowflakes starting to fall on your hat, you trowed yourself on the ground starting to play with the snow like a little kid, dew hesitated but he then stepped out of the porch, the cold breeze hitted him, he hide himself into his coat.
"alright are you satisfied now? we can go back inside?" said dew what he got in response was a snowball right in his face.
"OW THAT SHIT ITS COLD WHY" screamed dew removing the snow from his face, you giggled, dew looked at you and giggled too, he raised his head looking at the grey sky and the snowflakes falling on his face, a shiver of cold ran through his body, he moved his look on you, to see you build something.
"What are you doing?" asked dew
"can you get me a carrot, and two branches?" you asked facing dew
"ok-?" he said going to get what you asked, he came back few minutes later and handle you the things.
"alright almost done, there is only one thing missing" you say, you pull dew in a sweet kiss. You part from the kiss to catch breath but Dew pulls you back in a more passionate kiss placing his hand on your hips . You take advantage of this opportunity to stole his red scarf. You pull back once again , and before turning to face your creation you leave a small sweet kiss on the fire ghoul lips. You place the scarf around your creation.
“Done!” you proudly say
“Wait- THATS MY SCARF” Dew finally realize.
“No it’s mr snowman’s scarf now”
“Come here you little-” dew jumped on you making both of you ending up in the cold snow.
“AA ITS SO COLD” you screamed, Dew ignored you and instead started tickling you.
“NO NO- AHAHA- NO PLEASE-”
"SAY SORRY"
"NO"
"THEN I WON'T STOP"
"OK OK I'M SORRY" dew stopped tickling you
"good girl" you lay on the cold snow, dew was on top of you, you pull him in a hug
---------------
"how long are we gonna lay in the snow? i'm cold" asked dew
"till we will freeze to death" you responded.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cause I'm Mrs. Snow, 'till death we'll be freezing Yeah, you are my home, my home for all seasons So come on let's go

so sorry for not talking much at all about goldi and the bears (I love them also I just didn't have too many observations people hadn't already made!) but this is one I haven't seen anyone mention so hopefully I'm pointing out something interesting?
The story that Goldi opens to in the book of fairy tales isn't just a random traditional fairytale. It's a wholly unique block of text to the movie. It's the tail end of a story in which a "proper family" is described having a snowball fight. I believe this text gives us a lot of insight into Goldi's character motivation.
Tumblr media
The text is a bit hard to read so here is a transcript (its a bit long so the rest of this post is under a readmore, there is more analysis here too)
Year round, the old park was the most popular place for this proper family to walk on through and take in the beautiful sights on their return home. It was also quite understandably the most proper place for a young girl to make the perfect snow angel, build a quick snowman, or throw a few snowballs from behind the dense leaves of frosted maple trees. The father was no stranger to snowball fights. He relished every opportunity, in fact, to remind his family of his many past victories. Every snowball that he made was shaped with great care and purpose. However, all his best efforts would be for not. For the little girl, tired of battles lost, was determined to claim her first victory on this winter afternoon. It was the naive youth against the experienced adult. The mother laughed as the little girl struck her father square in the bum with her fastest snowball yet. A flurry of powdered attacks followed, overwhelming the veteran snowball soldier. Laying still on the very snow he once dominated, the father now knew his reign was over. It was an exciting moment. The little girl began to celebrate. Hoisted up onto her father's ice covered shoulders, the little girl looked at her mother and shared a smile. At that moment, they knew everything was just right… … and they lived happily ever after.
Knowing this little detail adds a lot of depth to our understanding, here. She wasn't just projecting onto a random fairytale family she read about in a story, wishing to be some little girl whose life she saw as perfect due to having "normal" biological parents. She was being told by this story from a young and impressionable age that families look a certain way, and as a result, she came away with the understanding that a family could be wrong too. And considering her catchphrase and arguably, some of her behavior could be attributed to her trying to emulate this story, it seems like she has always been trying to make her life fit into this mold that was never quite working out.
And that's where I think the animosity between Baby and Goldi comes in.
It's easy to see, watching the film, where Baby might have gotten his dislike of Goldi from. From the moment she first appeared she stole his bed and his food, and in reaction his parents adopted her and treated her like she did no wrong. Papa also seems keen on joining in insulting Baby often in this movie, while there's rarely a bad word said towards Goldi. That apparent favoritism is a perfect recipe for sibling rivalry. But lets be real, Goldi's attitude towards Baby is incredibly demeaning, even for a sibling rivalry. Not to say that Baby doesn't dish out his own deep-cutting insults, and it seems like the family overall has a kind of playful-ribbing type of relationship. But Goldi most consistently tells Baby that he is only useful, only cared for, when his primary skill - his sense of smell - is being used in her service. Like he's less so her brother than he is her underling.
But this book gives us a more solid reason as to why Goldi is so cruel to Baby, and that is that the "proper family".... does not have a brother. It is not only the bears being bears, but Baby's mere presence which disrupts the idealized image of a single-child family that Goldi has been desperately trying to fit her life to. So she becomes bitter towards him, pushing him down at every chance, attempts to micromanage him the most out of everyone.
That's why its so important that she specifically saves Baby instead of making her wish in the end. Its not only her abandoning the idea of a proper family, its her finally giving Baby a space in her heart which she denied him for a long time.

Hii, can I request a svt reaction to doing snow related activies with you? For members: Jeonghan, Jun, Wonwoo, Seokmin and Seungkwan please?
Activies like snowball fights, ice skating whatever haha but it's like s/o's first time since they lived on a country without snow :) thank uu ^u^
svt + snow day fun
➔ reaction || requested
➔ warnings: alcohol mention in jeonghan's || 562 words ➔ notes: fluff ; first time i saw snow was when i was 4 or 5? i remember seeing it on TV all the time, but since i was from SEA, there wasn't no snow. anyway, i'm getting sad from the nostalgia LOL reblog if you liked it!
JEONGHAN: if it's jeonghan, it has to be holiday markets because he loves sight-seeing and going to these sorts of things. it's not snow related, but it counts, right? he'll first take you to a stand that sells hot drinks so that you can keep your hands warm — for someone new to the weather, this winter wind is brutal. he'd normally go for some spiced hot chocolate, but since you need the extra warmth, he gets you both some mulled wine instead. he loves walking around with you under the twinkling fairy lights and doing a loop around before deciding what to buy.
JUNHUI: he doesn't care what the schedule is for the rest of the day. he will literally move as many obligations as he can just to spend time outside in the snow with you. at first, he was into the idea of a snowball fight, but it was a little unfair since you weren't used to the snow </3 so he switched gears and now he's teaching you how to make a snow fort and a bunch of tiny snow people. they all get hats made of shriveled leaf bits or pebbles you find. it's pretty fun until you notice how much junhui's sniffling and have to urge him back indoors.
WONWOO: he doesn't spend much time outside, maybe an hour or three — however long you want to spend playing in the snow, especially since it's the first time you've seen it. as soon as his socks are wet, though, it's time to go inside. he goes in first to shower so that when you come in not long after, the bathroom's already toasty and he can make hot chocolate while you get changed. the snow day activities are fun and all, but his favorite part of winter is probably curling up on the couch with warm mugs in hand and a nice movie on tv. he would marathon through as many as you could watch and then peel away from you to clean up once you fell asleep.
SEOKMIN: it's the perfect time to get matching ear muffs and mittens! and since you're already in the shop, why not get matching scarves, too? he gets you a giant muffler that he tucks tight against your collar since he's taking you ice skating for the first time. you want to get one of those skating trainers, but he wants to help you learn. you agree, though you should've listen to your gut because you're both running into walls now with both of his hands are occupied with you. once he gets used to skating backwards and watching you, you're doing laps around the edge like it's nothing.
SEUNGKWAN: he loves playing in the snow, so when the weather predicts a particularly heavy fall, he sets out appropriate clothing the night before. he makes sure you have extra warm layers since you're not used to the cold. he loves seeing your eyes light up as you experience snow for the first time and asks what you want to try first. making a snowman like in the movies? running around the park and having a snowball fight? lying on the ground and making snow angels? he'll want to ice skate or snowboard eventually, but baby steps for now. regardless of what you choose, he insists on taking pictures to commemorate it.

“You live on Birch, yeh?” he asked.
“Yeah. 3240 Birch.” you looked forward out the windshield.
The snow was beginning to swirl. The wind batting it about the parking lot as the sun began to set over the football field.
The revving of the camaro’s engine snapped your attention back to reality. Billy chuckling at your reaction, as he pulled off school property.
“What the hell do you keep under that hood?” you asked half joking.
He shifted gears, gaining traction. A proud smile on his face.
“You know much about cars?”
“I drive a Datsun.” you answered dryly.
He laughed, maybe even louder than he intended. You were sorta funny.
“So...” he downshifted, taking a right.
“So...?” you looked over at him.
“You lived in Hawkins forever?” he questioned, shifting again.
“No. I moved here when I was nine.”
“Oh? Where’s the firecracker really from?”
“Seattle.”
He shifted and made another left turn. Your street was three blocks away.
He didn’t think someone else from the west coast would’ve been crazy enough to land themselves in this cow pie’s excuse of a town.
And yet here you were.
“So why’d you move out to the sticks?”
You shifted in your seat uneasily.
“My dad died... mom still has family here.”
Billy fell quiet, the speed of the car dropping.
“Sorry to hear...” he muttered, hands fidgeting on the steering wheel.
“Don’t be. I’ve heard enough ‘I’m sorries’ to last me a lifetime.”
“This is me. Here.” you pointed.
Billy pulled into your driveway.
It was a modest two-story home. Not much bigger than his own. Robin egg blue with white trim.
There were Christmas lights still decorating the bushes and shrubs. The heavy snow atop them made them look like marshmallows covered in rainbow sprinkles.
A crudely made snowman was in the front yard with a mop on its head and a bra and underwear adorning its form.
Billy’s eyes were taking in the whole scene as you let a few choice obscenities slip from your lips.
“Swear to God Petey...” you growled loudly as Billy saw the snowman.
“Petey?”
“My little brother...” you said in exasperation.
“We’re in a bit of a war.” you explained.
A look of amusement filled Billy’s features.
“Some of Petey’s buds were teasing that I was his girlfriend and I leaned into it... he didn’t like that.”
“He’s been taking the bus for the past two months.” you smirked delightedly.
Billy grinned. He hadn’t considered someone like you to be so devious.
“That supposed to be you...?” he pointed to the yard.
“Yes...I s’pose so. He needs to keep his paws out of my drawers. Gremlin.”
Billy looked over to see the front door open, a boy with sandy blonde hair and glasses standing in the doorway giving you ‘the bird’ with both hands.
He couldn’t have been much older than Max.
“He’s not gonna live to see tomorrow...” you slumped in your seat.
Chuckling, Billy reached back and retrieved your backpack for you.
“Where’s your mom?”
You took the bag gratefully, holding it in your lap.
“At work. She works graves at Hawkins Memorial. So it’s usually just me and Petey most of the day.”
To Billy the thought of having his father gone nearly the entire day seemed like heaven, but the look that lingered in your eyes told him otherwise.
“I guess you gotta go then?” he asked.
“Yeah.” you sighed.
Carefully getting out of the car so you wouldn’t slip, you walked around to the driver’s side. He rolled down the window.
“Hey.... uh, thanks.”
Billy waved your gratitude away with a casual hand as he pulled a cigarette from his breast pocket and lit it.
“Don’t mention it.”
“Saturday.” you blurted out.
“Saturday?” he repeated.
“Saturday. 7 o’clock. .... and after, you can help me figure out whether or not I should donate my car to the school lost and found.” you smiled dumbly.
A smile graced his features. His eyes lighting up.
“Saturday.” he declared.
He rolled up his window, giving two honks of his horn before driving off. You waved goodbye before you went to retrieve your clothes from the snowman. Yelling loudly as you walked in the front door.
“What the hell Petey?”
It seemed like Friday came and went in a flash. As was suspected. A snow day was called. School had been cancelled.
You spent the day shoveling out your driveway and doing homework. Making dinner for you and Petey once the day ended.
The TV was on, Petey was watching Dukes of Hazzard, when the phone rang.
“Petey keep it down!” you hollered around the corner.
“Y/L/N residence?” you answered.
“Hey Firecracker.” Billy drawled from the other end of the line.
“Billy?” the surprise thick in your voice.
“Yeh.” he hummed.
“How’d you get my number?” you probed suspiciously.
“I asked Tina. She asked Betty. Who leaned on Natalie....” he sounded far too happy with his detective skills.
You did after all have an unlisted number.
“Poor Natalie...” you said openly. She was your only close friend, but she folded like a dollar bill in a hurricane when it came to keeping information private.
The girl was the personification of a shrinking violet. And by comparison she made you look extremely outgoing and confident.
She wore dresses and listened to Franky Valli and Elvis. You wore denim and listened to pretty much anything you could get your hands on.
You kept your hair long and side swept, ignoring the growing trends for huge volume and feathered hair. She wore her hair in ponytails with bows. You hardly ever pulled your hair up aside from gym.
She wore cardigans. You wore corduroy. She loved the 50s. You loved the 70s.
The two of you couldn’t have been more different.
“You may owe her damages Hargrove...” you warned sarcastically but also protectively.
He chuckled. “Maybe... Just wanted to tell ya to dress warm tomorrow night.”
“Why? You taking me on an outing to the Overlook Hotel?”
You couldn’t resist deviling him.
He snorted. “I just might if you keep it up.”
A smile was on your lips, as you coiled your fingers in the phone cord.
“Looking forward to it, but til then I gotta go. Dinner’s getting cold.”
“K, see ya.”
You hung up the phone, Petey smugly looking at you from the kitchen.
“Shut up. Before I make you shut up. Twerp.” you warned pointing at the table.
“You gonna kiss him?” he teased.
You slapped the plates onto the table, dishing veggies and meatloaf onto his and your plates.
“I just might. And if I do? You may even have to see it.” you threatened.
Petey looked utterly disgusted. Shaking his head profusely, shoving his tongue out in the most horrified face he could muster.
“Uaggh!”
You laughed.
Saturday night came quickly. Quicker than you thought.
You never pegged yourself as a girl who was indecisive and yet here you were with clothes strewn everywhere.
The only thing you had decided on was your underwear because you knew that was not happening tonight.
Holding up one sweater to your neck, you then switched to the sweater you were holding in your right hand.
Why is this such a process? Men have it so much easier.
By around 6:34 you finally decided on a cream cable knit sweater that was far at the back of your closet.
It was bit lower cut than you were typically used to, but the color really warmed the tone of your skin and the light in your eyes. It was perfect.
You matched it against a pair of dark washed straight leg jeans and your favorite leather boots.
Blowing out your hair and gently brushing the curls loose, you generously sprayed your look and prayed it would hold. Soft, bouncy, sleek, and shiny. Heather Locklear would only be so proud of you if she knew.
The doorbell rang. Your heart skipping a beat.
“Petey! Petey!” you bellowed over the bannister.
“Yeh yeh yeh! I know!” he screamed back up at you, pulling himself away from the TV.
You could hear the deep timbre of Billy’s voice from the living room below as you finalized your mascara.
He and Petey were talking about something. Hopefully Petey wasn’t selling you out.
Placing small pearl studs on your ears, you looked yourself over one last time.
Here goes nothing.
It was your first date in nearly two years.
Gingerly stepping down the staircase you stopped on the bottom step.
There Billy was in a steel blue button down shirt, only half done up, dark blue jeans and black leather boots.
A wool-lined black leather bomber jacket was clutched in his left hand.
He paused his conversation with your brother, his eyes raking over you, softening as his gaze met yours.
“Beautiful.” he commented.
You smiled, a blush coloring your cheeks.
“Thanks, not so bad yourself.” you muttered.
Petey elicited an exaggerated gag.
Shooting your brother ‘a look’, you pulled on your winter coat.
“You said it was going to be cold...” you questioned.
“I did.” Billy confirmed.
“So what’s with the shirt?” you motioned to his chest.
Waving goodbye to Petey you shut the front door, following Billy to the camaro.
Shrugging the jacket over his broad shoulders, he unlocked the car.
“It’s just my look.” Billy stated sliding into his seat.
“Well it’s a damn good way to get frostbite...” you said seriously.
“You don’t get much snow where you’re from, do you?” you quipped.
“In San Diego? Once maybe.” he pondered.
He turned the ignition, backing down the driveway.
“Ahhhh.... that explains it”  you reasoned.
He paused in the road, an eyebrow high in expectation.
“So this whole macho thing is really just a Californian in deep denial.” you observed.
He barked out a laugh, lowering his foot on the accelerator.
“Yer a helluva smartass.” he stated.
You smiled slyly. “Guilty.”
The drive was relatively short, as Billy pulled onto the McCorkle’s Farm.
They had been running a lights display and small winter festival with input from the city beginning just after Christmas. This was the last weekend in January it would be running.
“Ah! I’ve never had any time to come see this!” you smiled.
Billy let out an inaudible sigh. He had hoped that you hadn’t already been here before, like every other girl at Hawkins High who were all incessantly talking about it.
The display was far from spectacular, but it was quaint. Electric lights in the shapes of snowflakes and reindeer pinned to hay bales. Lights were strung everywhere, across the dormant bean poles in the field, and even the tractor.
Billy walked up to you with a steaming cup of hot chocolate. You took it graciously.
“So aside from the snow... how do you like Hawkins?” you asked.
He shoved his hands in his pockets.
“S’okay I guess.” he shrugged.
You took a sip of the hot drink.
“I call bullshit.” you prodded.
He looked at you harshly. You gave him a smug look.
“Everyone new hates this place. If you were excited about being here I’d call you mental.”
You both giggled knowingly.
“Yeh.” he sighed, digging the toe of his boot into the snow.
You both started walking. Critiquing the half-hazard decorations, and sharing stories about what winters were like in California and Washington.
Before you knew it time had caught up with you. It was time to head home.
Settling into the camaro Billy revved up the engine for show as a couple tweens oggled his ride.
“What’dya think?” he asked tentatively.
“That was great.” you hummed happily, your cheeks still pink from the cold.
“Good” he hummed.
Arriving to your house, Billy got out, opening your door.
“I had a really great time tonight.” you smiled brightly.
“Glad to hear.” he said pridefully.
Stepping out of the car, he shut your door.
“I’ll see you on Monday.” you went to head for the porch, when he grabbed your wrist pulling you back.
You looked at him a moment in question. Billy smirked.
“For such a smartass you really didn’t see this coming?” he teased.
Wrapping a hand around the back of your neck he pulled you into a kiss.
Instinctively you braced your hands against his chest. You were quite shocked.
It had been so long since you had kissed anyone. Were you even doing it right?
God forbid you fuck this up. The night had been so perfect.
He moved. Wrapping his free hand around your waist. Brushing his lips against yours softly.
You wrapped your fingers in the fabric of his shirt, deepening the kiss.
It felt like he couldn’t possibly pull you any closer and yet he was still trying. You felt like you were going to suffocate, with him as your sole lifeline.
He broke away, trailing open mouthed kisses down your chin to your jaw. Searching. You weren’t certain for what.
You let out the softest and most sinful sound your ears had ever heard as his lips swept across the corner edge of where your jaw and neck met.
Suddenly his kisses were becoming desperate, harsher. You were trying to keep yourself from crying out. The sound frightened you.
His hands were traveling. Becoming rough. Groping. As he pulled at the hem of your sweater.
“Billy” you heaved.
He kept going.
“Billy st-stop!” you cried weakly.
You shoved at him as much as you possibly could.
He took a step back, a look of utter shock and hurt in his eyes.
“Stop.” you repeated more courageously, pulling your coat tight around you.
“I’m going in... good night.” you walked to the porch, his eyes were on you the entire time.
He looked as if you had slapped him across the face.
Opening the door you stepped inside, and turned to face him.
Back in the camaro, Billy was hastily pulling from the driveway. The engine revved as he sped from the street.
Without a word.

Hello! 😊😊 I saw that your requests are open so I ran to your ask box haha
Ok, so bear with me here because I’m not the best and requesting, but I was wondering if you could write something soft and fluffly with Tommy Shelby? Don’t get me wrong, I live for your dark and creepy Tommy fics, but the softness that you showcased in your story Loving You absolutely killed me (in the best way possible) and I’m dying for some more of that.
Alright so here goes the request.....I’m sorry if it’s kind of vague, but could you do something where maybe they’re snowed in (either in Small Heath or at Arrow House - you choose) and even though Tommy needs to get to work, he can’t, so his partner coaxes him into spending a lazy day with her. I’m not picky on the particulars of their relationship, or if they have kids or not...I’ll let you decide with that. It’s extremely hot where I’m from at the moment and I’d just love some winter day vibes haha
Thanks so much in advance if you decide to write this! 💕💕
Thank you so much!!! :D
While I do love writing dark!Tommy, I equally love writing soft fics for him! I feel like I never write enough soft Peaky Blinders stuff...
I had a lot of fun writing this and I hope you like it :D

You shivered and wrapped the blanket tightly around yourself as you wandered through the halls of Arrow House. You paused as you passed by the window and looked out at the wintery scene before you. The wind carried soft flakes of snow, added to the increasing piles around the house. The drive had previously been cleared, dark grey snow piled against the side of the drive ruining the otherwise crisp white blanket, but already that was being covered. You knew by this evening you’d be snowed in again.
You smiled as you could faintly see the snowman hat Charlie had built earlier that day. He had been so excited for the snow, although that excitement didn’t last long. He had come running back in, shivering from the cold and insisting on a coco. With Charlie suitably warmed up and taking a nap, you decided to try and find Tommy. You had a sneaking suspicion on where he was.
Tommy didn’t look up when you entered his study. His coat was hung up and was steadily dripping on the wooden floor. That, and the scratch of Tommy’s pen, were the only sounds in the room. As you walked closer to his desk Tommy stopped writing for a second before his attention was diverted back to his paperwork. You pouted as you walked behind his desk and wrapped your arms around him, pressing your chest against his back.
“Fuck,” you said, “You’re freezing.”
“Just got back.”
“You shouldn’t go out in this weather,” you said, “What if you had an accident?”
“I’m careful.”
You sighed and rested your chin on top of his head, grimacing at his cold, wet hair.
“I doubt it,” you said, “You’re soaked. What would happen if you catch a cold?”
“I won’t.”
“You’d be stuck in bed,” you continued, ignoring what he said, “And I wouldn’t allow you to do any work until you got better.”
“And would be there with me?”
“Why? Want me to nurse you back to health?”
“If you’re offering. If you do maybe I need to go back to London.”
“Then I shan’t,” you said, unwrapping your arms from around him, “I shall leave you to suffer!”
You pulled the blanket back around you and stepped away. Tommy quickly grabbed your wrist and pulled you back towards him. You let out a yelp as you fell into his lap and Tommy secured his arms around you.
“What are you- AHH!”
You cried out as Tommy pressed his cheek against the side of your neck. Fuck, he really was freezing. You squirmed in his lap and you felt him smile against your skin at you reaction.
“Careful, love,” he said quietly, “I still have work to do.”
He playful nipped at your neck before turning his attention back to the paperwork on his desk. You sighed as you rested your head on his chest, listening to the steady thump of his heartbeat. You closed your eyes, feeling at peace, before muttering quietly,
“You should stop that. Take today off and relax. We’re going to be snowed in again.”
“Hmm?”
“It’s getting heavier out there,” you said, “The snow that is. It’s going to be impossible to get out tomorrow.”
“That’s tomorrow’s issue,” said Tommy, “This is important.”
“More important than me?”
“Of course not.” Tommy said quickly
“Good.”
You opened your eyes and picked up a sheet of paper. Tommy sighed and leant back in his chair, taking you with him. You wrinkled your nose at the work before putting it back on his desk. You reached over and plucked the pen out of Tommy’s hand before taking it between your own.
“How can you work while being so cold?” you asked
You glanced up at Tommy who was looking down at you. He raised an eyebrow at you before smirking and leaning closer to say,
“If you’ve got any ideas on how to warm me up, I’m all ears.”
You gasped as he stuck his free hand up the back of your shirt and pressed it against your back. When you tried to escape his grip tightened on you and locked you firmly against him.
“And what exactly did you have in mind, love?” asked Tommy, his lips grazing against the shell of your ear,
You could feel yourself heating up as you tried not to squirm anymore in Tommy’s lap. How could he derail your plan so effectively?
“I was thinking,” you said, “You and me, curled up in front of the fire. Forget about this,” you waved a hand at the desk, “For the meantime. Just relax.”
“I need to complete this.”
“A day or two won’t hurt.”
“You’re being very tempting.”
“I know.”
“And what else does this plan of your involve?”
“I don’t know Mr Shelby,” you said, “It’s depends on what you prefer to do- your paperwork or me.”

Okay, im as white as Frosty the snowman's asshole, so I might be totally off base here, but does anyone else feel like Annette's story kinda flirts with the whole "slavery made you strong" idea?
Like, obviously her actual, literal strength came from her training with the slave resistance and her magic powers, but she's pretty undeniably the most consistently effective of the three main fighters, Richter, Maria and her, and with both of them, very explicitly with Richter, it's his incapability to handle the bad personal experiences that makes him entirely ineffective and weak, something that Annette derives him for pretty directly. Same could be said for Maria I think, the way she acted and partially caused the bad situation in the last episode due to the traumatic, personal realization of the Abbot being her father.
Annette by contrast is almost entirely unperturbed, and when she is hurt by things like Eduard's fate, it's never to any real negative consequences to her capabilities. One might think that it's because unlike them, Annette has lived through the worst fucking shit all her childhood, slavery. She saw her mother die in almost exact the same way as Richter, and where'as his reaction was to run tail in a panic upon meeting her killer, hers was only ever a righteous and focused rage, which only ever seemed to make her more effective, not less. Is that because she was forced to keep experiencing horrors even after that, forcing her to mentally steel herself? I kinda got that impression, but mostly because the series doesn't really explicitly offer any other reason either.
And no, im not calling her a mary sue. People throw that word around like punctuation these days without knowing what the fuck it means.
And like, "going through hardship makes people strong" is not at all a rare or unique thing for media to promote, but the slavery context does kinda change it, since it is a real talking point of Neo confederate propaganda and other historical-slavery apologia to argue that slavery is why so many black people excel at things like sports in the modern day. And attributing once strength, physical or that of once will, to the worst possible things a person could made to go through seems kinda fucked up.
Now obviously I don't think the writers meant any of this deliberately. Likely just a writing plunder with potential unfortunate implications. Or did I fucking magic this idea out of nowhere. I haven't seen any other discussion on the matter, so might be. Thoughts welcome.

Cgs Giyuu & Nezuko/Little Tanjiro
Warnings: Mentions of Tanjiro's family's death
Tanjiro was scared. He had just been in the village selling charcoal, and on his way back up the mountain, he was feeling small, but when he saw the bodies of his family, he fully regressed.
He was so happy that he nearly burst into tears in relief when he found his younger sister, Nezuko, alive, and he started to carry her down the mountain.
He was still feeling small, though, and so he was already unstable on hi feet, and paired with the snow, he completely lost his footing and fell down one of the mountain cliffs, bringing Nezuko with him.
Once the fall had ended and they had reached the ground, Tanjiro actually did end up bursting into tears, curling himself into a ball, now feeling extremely little. Nezuko, who had gained consciousness at this point, recognized her brother and recognized that he was regressed and in distress, and she immediately entered caregiver mode. She rushed over to her brother and scooped him into her arms, attempting to calm him down.
Giyuu, who had been watching all this going on at a distance, sheathed his katana that he had had out. He had been sent to execute a demon that had been on the mountain, but he had arrived too late as the demon had already slaughtered the boy, Tanjiro's family, and his only living family member, Nezuko, had been turned into a demon, so Giyuu was going to execute her, but after what he had witnessed, he didn't think that that would be necessary. Instead, he approached the two.
Nezuko saw him coming and moved to stand protectively in front of Tanjiro, who had calmed down by now and was just quietly babbling to himself as he played with handfuls of snow. "I'm not going to hurt either of you." Giyuu stated, coming closer.
When Nezuko didn't Budge and instead became more protective, Giyuu sighed. He stopped walking forward and instead sat down. "I just want to help you two." He told Nezuko. She continued to glare at him until she felt a tug on her hand.
She turned around, and her eyes softened as Tanjiro pointed to a small snowman that he had made. Nezuko ruffled his hair affectionately before glancing back at Giyuu, who hadn't moved from where he sat, and now was blankly staring at nothing.
Nezuko sighed, which brought Giyuu's attention back to her and Tanjiro. Nezuko gestured that it was okay for Giyuu to come closer. And so he did, sitting down with her and her brother.
Tanjiro noticed Giyuu for the first time and let out a dramatized gasp. "What's wrong?" Giyuu asked, worried about Tanjiro's reaction. "So pretty." Tanjiro said, pointing at Giyuu's haori. "Oh, thank you." Giyuu thanked him.
"Mhm." Tanjiro nodded and reached out, tugging at Giyuu's hand. "Yes, little one?" Giyuu asked. "Build snowman with me and Nezu?" Tanjiro asked. Giyuu nodded, and he spent the rest of the day building snowmen with Tanjiro and Nezuko.
