Thinking about sleepy Swiss.

Barely awake Swiss who purrs up a storm as Aurora cups his face in her hands and coos at him.

Sexy morning voice Swiss who sends Dew's brain into overdrive just my mumbling "good morning".

Exhausted Swiss who crawls into Aether's lap and faceplants into his chest.

Swiss who rests his head sleepily on Cirrus' shoulder in the tour bus, tail wagging lazily when she scratches him behind the horns.

Swiss who manhandles Phantom until he can use his chest as a pillow, listening to his heartbeat.

Sleep-deprived Swiss who lays down on the sun-warmed dock at the lake, one hand brushing the surface of the water for Rain to hold onto whenever he might want to while Swiss dozes off.

Swiss letting out a jaw-dislocating yawn, distracting Sunshine as she stares at the thick fangs it displays.

Swiss who tugs Mountain on top of him on the couch so that he can have his own personal weighted blanket.

Swiss who absent-mindedly nips and kisses at Cumulus' forearms whenever she holds his drowsy form, his eyes half-shut.

Bonus : Swiss and Ifrit napping together as close as physically possible, legs, arms and tails tangled, Ifrit's head on Swiss chest and the multi ghoul's face burried in Ifrit's hair, just cozy big boy cuddle with motor-like purring as a soundtrack.

Cirrus breaking in freshly summoned Aurora.

As soon as she emerged from the summoning circle, they could see in her eyes how feral she was. Gnashing teeth, baring claws, growling low and deep.

Cirrus could fix that. It might take some extra time but she could fix that.

As they lock eyes, the growling stops but the teeth and claws remain. Cirrus mind is filled with a surprisingly soft voice, “Aurora. My name is Aurora.”

Cirrus yanks the blanket out of Mountains trembling hands and approaches the ghoulette, throwing the blanket around her shoulders and wrapping her like a burrito in order to keep her claws in check. “Enough of that, sweet thing. I can take care of you.”

She doesn’t wait to meet Phantom. She doesn’t wait to be dismissed. She just grabs the new summon by the shoulders and pushes her out of the chapel and through the back hallways into the ghoul den. Into her room. Door locked.

She finally has the brain power to consider for a moment that perhaps she should be scared, all alone in a locked room with a feral ghoulette. But then her eyes flicker over as the blanket falls from her shoulders. The rage in Aurora’s eyes burn as she bares her claws again and Cirrus thinks she might be the prettiest little thing she’s ever seen. Pale skin that looks soft as silk, pastel blues and purples and pinks marbling her body.

“Oh, sweetheart” Cirrus coos, “I know you’re not silly enough to attack me. I do not like being wrong. I’m not wrong, am I?” She maintains eye contact but sees auroras claws flexing in her peripherals. “Come now, Angel. Don’t be so stupid just yet. We haven’t even gotten started.”

As she stalks towards her prey, she starts letting up on her glamour just a little. Just enough to really loom over her new little plaything. She can smell her fear rise and it’s so delicious. “You know what, I’ll be generous. I’ll let you get one hit in first. It’ll just make breaking you all the more exciting.”

*The ghouls and cooking*

Rain:

Rain follows every recipe exactly. He hates deviating from the recipe just like he hates messiness. That's why the kitchen is always spotlessly clean after Rain has cooked.

Dewdrop:

He doesn't stick to recipes, spills the ingredients and seems to pour lots of chilli into everything. Tends to burn down the kitchen if something doesn't go the way he wants. No wonder no one wants to let Dewdrop cook.

Aether:

He sticks to the recipes, although not quite as strictly as Rain. His particular passion is baking. The other ghouls like to sit in the kitchen and chat with him when Aether is baking. Especially because he often lets them lick the sweet dough off the whisks.

Cumulus:

Cooks very well. Often makes jam from the fruit that Mountain grows in the garden.

Mountain:

He makes the best ratatouille in the world.

(Copia loves his ratatouille. Especially since Swiss told him that Mountain has a rat that helps him cook. Mountain always wonders why Copia winks at him every time after dinner and asks him to give the little assistant cook his praise too.)

Swiss:

Considers himself to be an absolute Michelin-star chef, but only makes sandwiches in various variations.

Aurora:

All she really wants to do is decorate. Pour pink sugar pearls and stars over cupcakes or sprinkle edible pink glitter over the cake.

Phantom:

He can't read. So he tries to go by the pictures on the packaging. Sometimes he just randomly throws things together that he thinks smell good. For example, his chocolate - cheese - chicken - orange - stew with cinnamon and garlic.

Cirrus:

She places a lot of importance on healthy eating. Cirrus regularly sneaks vegetables into Dewdrop's food.

Sunshine:

She doesn't cook. If no one cooks for her, she will eat chips and chocolate.

Copia:

Still thinks that rats actually run all the restaurants. He is disappointed every time he brings his rats into the kitchen to cook and they just start nibbling on the ingredients.

🧶 Things Cumulus crocheted - HC🧶

Cumulus loves to crochet and she is really good at it, and because she is the nicest ghoul you’ll ever meet, she makes little things for the others all the time. This is what she has gifted the others (not all of it though, it would not fit in one post)

Mountain

It’s his favorite tree and it fits perfectly in his room, she put fairy lights in it too. This is probably one of his favorites

Aurora

This is the only thing you’ll see her wear in the summer. She loves the colors, the design and how comfortable it is

Swiss

She did a bunch of these but with his favorite records, he will never admit it, but he can’t sleep without them in his bed

Phantom

He refuses to use any other hat than this one and you can’t make him

Cirrus

This is so Cirrus, she loves it so much and wears it all the time

Aether

It’s one of his most treasured items, since he’s a quintessence ghoul he can feel the love she put in this while making it, it’s like an never ending hug

Dew

Since he can’t keep real plants alive she made him a bunch of these in different colors

Rain

His hands are always cold so she made these for him. It fits his vibe perfectly and he wears them everyday in the winter

Omega

There is a special wall in the infirmary where hangs these up with pictures of all the brave siblings of sin

Copia

His office was looking a bit boring so she made these and sneaked them in when he couldn’t see, he still hasn’t realized they’re there

I've been wanting to do this post for a while now so here is EVERYTHING I CAN TELL YOU ABOUT THE GHOULS' IMPERA COSTUMES.

Buckle up because I have a LOT to say about those, this is gonna be a very long one.

The costumes were designed by B Åkerlund, a Swedish costume designer who's worked with Ghost since at least Meliora (that's as far back as I was willing to scroll on her Instagram page lol). B Åkerlund has also worked for many other musical artists such as Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Madonna, the Rolling Stones, Ozzy Osborne, Blink 182 and Hollywood Undead (information from her own website)

The masks were made by Bob Basset, a visual artists who works a lot with leather. I find his work fascinating, you can look him up on Instagram (nsfw warning, there's a few naked ladies).

Fun fact! The horns are real cow horns. That's the reason some of them have gold tips, to hide the imperfections that come with working with actual horns.

He does have a shop where he sells his items, there's a mask there very similar to the Impera ones. You can also buy Papa's batwings if you happen to have 2500$ lying around!

The jackets are made on the same model as one of Papa's. The back is decorated with a spine-like design made from leather and cording. It's adorned with a few of our classic Impera buttons. Some of the hems were left raw and some deliberate weathering was done to make it look old and worn.

Fun fact! The shoulder pieces are not sewn into the garment, I would assume for easier cleaning. I don't know if they're held by strong magnets or snap buttons.

The vest (my beloved 😩) is made from flocked velvet in a paisley pattern, the front hems embellished with satin piping. It closes in the front with custom metal clasps that are riveted into the garment. The D parts are attached with what seems to me like wide elastic, which would lessen the pression on the clasps when moving around a lot. The back is made from two different types of fabric, I'd have to touch it to be able to tell you what they are. I assume the panels closer to the sides have some mild stretch to them. The top of the shoulders are decorated with Impera grucifix patches.

The shirts were not custom made for the ghouls, altho they were altered. The original shirt in the vintage painter linen shirt from Punk Rave and it is still being sold. Some of the cuffs were altered, removing the ruffles for some of the ghouls, but not all. They were removed for Dew, Mountain and Phantom, Aether's didn't have them either. As far as I can tell, all the ghoulettes still have them.

An unfinished piece of linen serves as an ascot, that piece is decorated with a metal devil skull. The colour of the skull doesn't appear to be consistent between each ghoul, Dew's looks gold almost bronze while Phantom's is a silver-like colour.

Another modification is the buttons, a small portion of them were removed in favor of our Impera buttons. Some of the ghouls have more buttons replaced than others, which is still a mystery to me.

The pants are called Jodhpurs, they were invented in the 1800s as horse riding pants. The wide part at the hips and thighs allowing for better movement. The ones the ghouls wear don't reach all the way to their ankles, they stop a bit past the calf muscle, hidden by the boots. (Yes, the ghouls are effectively wearing capri pants)

The boots are motorcycle riding boots, decorated by a grucifix. Like the shirt, they can still be bought online through the All American Boots website, altho the price tag is... Headache inducing to say the least.

The cape is a piece of costume that was only briefly worn on stage by the ghouls, Aurora being the only one who still wears one. I would assume it gets in the way of playing very easily. The cape itself is made of two fabrics, a light blue satin and a dark grey suede. The two pieces are not sewn together at the bottom, they move freely from each other. The cape is attached on the left shoulder with a harness piece that has one strap across the chest, decorated with a metal buckle, and one under the armpit.
