Some ramblings and thoughts on Octavinelle ch1.

I think Jade finds the MC very attractive in a non-conventional way. He finds Yuuta unique and interesting, even though Yuuta would most likely be considered an ordinary, even uninteresting, person in his own world.

Size had never really mattered to Jade. Even when he met Azul, he thinks Azul 'looks different', but different not in the sense that 'he looks funny' but more like 'he's different from me, different from everyone else, I've never really seen someone like him'.

Part of the reason why is that Jade essentially came from the depths of the ocean. In the ocean, at a depth of 300 meters, life starts to become more scant. Fishes in deeper parts of the ocean are mostly inactive and passive except when they had to hunt. Jade definitely came from a place deeper than a mere 300 meters and as a carnivore who's adapted to life in a place where food is scarce (which he also mentioned in canon), they eat at a very small frequency of one to three times a week. The rest of the time is spent curling up in coves or generally just wandering around aimlessly until his hunger instincts strike again. This means that for most of Jade's life in the depths, he sees and interacts with literally no one except for Floyd and his parents. It doesn't help that Jade's favourite attacks tend to be an ambush attack, to strike only at the most crucial time, resulting in, more often than not, instant death of his prey. This leaves very little opportunity for him to even interact with his prey, though there are times when Jade might toy around with them before delivering the final kill. It's not enough for him to learn about them. Leading an isolated life in the ocean allowed him very little exposure to not only surfacers, but also among his own peers.

It's pretty obvious that when Jade came to the surface, he was still just plainly non-human in more ways than one. He's literally just a wild animal wearing human skin, he's unfamiliar with the most basic living necessities on the surface and unable to blend into human society.

One other reason that makes him interested in Yuuta is that Jade has the opposite problem of Azul. He doesn't get gain weight or get bigger even though he eats plenty and rarely exercises. He's been stuck in a slim and slender form for most of his life, and since the Coral Sea's general population seems to perceive being fat as a negative trait, that makes him curious about Yuuta who is happy with his body as he is. It's the same curiosity as a cat who saw something strange showing up in a place they're familiar with. Though Jade might actually reach out and touch him whenever.

I really love being on Everskies, so I wanted to share a few of the outfits I made. I have back stories on a few of them, so I'll put them in order of "it's just cute to me uwu" to "I designed a character I created 🗿" (also, it's earliest to most recent)

I was playing around with the face on this one and eventually made this. I had been a little obsessed with the yandere troupe at that point. So she does have the vibe of "I found you love~<3"

Randomly made, but after I made it I wanted to come up with some kind of Renaissance, medival ages, 1800 horror story or something.

I need to get an idea for this 😩

This one is more or less the same as the first one, but more like the story of the smiling woman. It was just kind of cute and uncanny.

This is a beautiful Mama who's been in my head since I was a kid. I finally get to see her made beautifully and not drawn by me 🤡

Her name is Mana and she's the Queen of the Clouds and Qydians (my made up species). Also, also, I really envisioned her to be wearing a sweater, it just seemed cozy to hug her and we all know how soft a good cardigan is.

From Manifested Malevolence:

This woman right here has no name, but has her entire plot developed 🗿. I suck ass at making names so if you enjoyed the post, drop a name for... Pretty much all of them lol.

She's a villain I have in this story where my MC (which is almost always a girl named Cassie) can manifest her thoughts into reality. Not like she can conjure an object, but if she thinks something will happen it manifests and actually happens. If I explain who she is exactly it'll spoil her role in the story, so I'll leave it there.

She uses her good looks to trick men and the rest is up to her abilities.

The 2nd image is how she appears when manifesting. I was just playing around one day and created the prettiest villain I've ever thought of.

Luck was on my side.

This little cutie patootie is another part of the story little miss no name before her is from. Ig this is a spoiler, but this happens within the first 4 chapters, so it's not really a spoiler. No one's gonna ever read your shit so calm down.

Anyways, she is a manifested being named Mika (who is also based on a stuffed rabbit I had as a kid with the same name). She shows up and explains to Cassie what her ability is and her main goal is to help her however she needs it.

Mika is suppose to be very childish and gives me the egirl, overly (and borderline cringey) cute girl, but I can never see my baby as cringe 💞

From normalities:

I was in the middle of writing a story when I thought of this random spin off idea. So, I made her and then wrote it.

Essentially, this Cassie is a super shy girl with a popular boyfriend. While he's at a party, his friends force ask him to get something they've forgotten. He's upset, but agrees to get it, but he wants some company while he goes to get it and she (up there) offers to get it for him since she's closer.

Going to the dorm she needs to, she walks in on some gathering in the room and everyone thinks she's a huge weirdo for looking so scared just walking into a room. She gets what her bf needed and goes to give it to him. She was so anxious by her encounter at the dorm that she ends up looking like she's about to cry and her bf decides to ditch his friends to comfort her 😀

My 2022 Kdrama Roundup

Making my 2022 cdrama roundup is taking too long (...I watched so many fuckign cdramas this year) so, since I watched considerably less kdramas, I decided to just do a post of them first!

KDRAMAS I FINISHED THIS YEAR:

The King's Affection--A kdrama targeting me personally. A crossdressing female crown prince would have been enough, but did she have to be so lethal? So handsome? Did she have to be good at both archery and swordfighting? And schemey? And did her love interest have to be a bisexual Rowoon? I was Attacked. My favorite kdrama of this year!

Eve--I'm always here for a solid Monte Cristo. Just people coming back with a new identity to fuck up the lives of those who wronged them. Lee Ra-el really goes for it. The drama, the angst, the fashion! Also the femslashy tension with Han So-ra was great, I need more female archnemeses in my life. The only thing is I didn't really like the actual romance that much? Maybe I just don't understand the tango.

Alice, the Final Weapon--More of a miniseries. The dynamic is a female assassin/a kind of suicidal masochist who becomes more invested in life after meeting her. And they're both highschoolers? Honestly the only way to sell me on a teenage romance is to make it this insane, I did enjoy.

The Silent Sea--Ngl it did creep me out a lot. The lunar water, that is. Didn't feel super connected in the characters bc this show is more about plot, concept, and action than character development, but it was quite tense and I was certainly invested in whether they were going to survive.

KDRAMAS I ALMOST FINISHED BUT DID NOT BUT WILL FINISH IN 2023, OKAY? REALLY!

Alchemy of Souls--I love Naksu/Mudeok! I love her fucked up mentorship with Jang Uk, especially in the early episodes where her attitude is just "throw him at death and see what happens". Also enjoy the obnoxious crown prince lols. I have only two episodes left (of the first season, at least) and have enjoyed both the scheming and the character development, but I have to say it can sometimes be a bit slow, and I don't care that much about ALL the supporting characters that have to have their moment in the limelight EVERY episode. (Park Jin and Park Dang-gu, I'm looking at you!)

Flower of Evil--New obsession! I had to stop watching for a week or so bc I was just bingeing too fast and losing sleep lols. The suspense is way up there, the whump is a thing of beauty, and I found myself super invested in Do Hyeon-su's life of fake (but come on, it's not really fake!) domestic bliss. Just so intense. I was kind of scared off by the hype for this show when it first came out but the hype is real, this show is incredible. Just hope the ending lives up to the rest of it.

Connect--An enjoyable thriller, but I don't really see why you have to make the antagonist of a show that already has organ traffickers, mad science and mutants... a random serial killer? On the other hand I do love his weird vibe with the surprisingly normal mutant MC so. I am not immune to serial killer antagonists.

OVERALL

A good year for morally dubious female protagonists (yes, I am including Lee Hwi/Dam-yi! she comes very close to murder multiple times and I am including her!). I watched less kdrama thrillers than usual bc I was watching cdrama thrillers instead, but the ones I watched were enjoyable. I want more fanfic for all of these shows but the fanfic wants I have are immensely specific so I should probably just write some but we will see.

The sound of coins clinking against each other echoed throughout the second born’s room as you tried your best to stay focused on studying for an upcoming test that you were sure the demon beside you counting coins, Mammon, wasn’t prepared for.

He hums a small tune with a grin on his face as he counts his grimm and all you can do is hold back a groan as he finishes and begins recounting them. It takes a single one falling from his hands and colliding with the ground to make you huff and stand to your feet, turning to stare at the greedy demon who’s fingers chase after the fallen grimm and picks it up.

His head raises and his eyes meet yours that almost glare back at him. “Huh? Are ya done studyin’?” He asks with his brow raised in question at the suddenness of your study coming to an end so soon.

Your nose scrunches in annoyance and if it were any other situation he would’ve pulled out his D.D.D and snapped a quick photo to keep to himself, but you clearly weren’t in the mood for his jokes or pranks. “I can’t study with your counting, Mammon.”

He grins at you, testing your very thin patience. “I can’t count with your writin’.” He shoots back with a playful glint in his eyes that you normally would’ve smiled and rolled your eyes at him.

He takes your frustration into thought when you dare to stomp on his feet and he curls in on himself from where he sits on the couch before laughing at your upset face. “Alright, alright. Why don’t ya let The Great Mammon take ya out for a ride?”

Your eyes almost sparkle at the question and he takes that subtle reaction as a yes as he stands up and casually walks towards his car. “Ya comin’ or what, human?”

A night drive was something you definitely needed considering how much more relaxed you were now with a content smile tugging at the corners of your lips. Mammon could only hope it was too dark outside for you to notice his stare and goofy smile as he took you out for a joyride around Devildom at such a late hour.

You’ve completely disregarded studying and sighed as you leaned back in the seat of Mammon’s car, turning and smiling at him who after locking eyes with you directs his focus back to the road as if he wasn’t just staring at you dreamily.

“Y’know,” You sigh, leaning over and staring out the open window at the dark sky. ��You might be a pain in the ass most times,”

“But…?” He drags out expecting you to add on with something positive to say about him but you only snicker at him. “Oh c’mon! I’m the best, how dare ya call me a pain in the ass!”

His furrowed brows raise at the sound of your giggle and his heart skips a beat when your hand brushes against his forearm. You’re really gonna kill him one day with these acts.

“Sure, whatever you say, babe.” You say playfully, poking at his very warm cheek and you could just tell he was blushing wildly right now and it made your chest feel fuzzy with warmth. “Seriously though, thank you for driving me around tonight.”

He mumbles at your words, a pout on his face as his fingers grip into the stirring wheel. “Ya better be grateful! No one else is gonna take you ridin’ around except for me!” He says it like it’s a statement and you don’t object, instead opting to hum in agreement with him and resting your hand over his that has been very slowly inching closer to your thigh.

His heart is hammering against his ribcage and his face feels hot and his palms feel sweaty but he’s content in the moment, driving you around and seeing your smiling face is the best thing he could ask for (but never admit to). His fingers interlock with yours and he feels happy in the moment shared by only the two of you. He should be heading back by now if he doesn’t want Lucifer lecturing him for eight hours but Mammon is greedy and he’s going to soak up this peaceful night he has with you right now for as long as he can.

It bothers me that in game we basically call Felix's collections in his room weird and dont have the option to indulge him in his passions & hobbies so maybe something about that?? I just want to let him info dump to me

note from nia: real. maybe if mc let him rant and cry about a character death to them from a story they know nothing about for 30 minutes the same way my irls let me we wouldn't need to think of doing this!! That's literally how you make unbreakable bonds. ((here's a similar req which probably,, has repeated notes . ouaghhh))

it's such a loss that we can't have a scene for this since mc appreciating him for who he is is like,, a fundamental point for their relationship . you aren't going to let me indulge the man who wants to finally be indulged? come on

a love language. listening to what he's saying, asking questions, remembering facts days or weeks later, shocking him with a joke or reference randomly during the day

sometimes he trails off and starts apologizing for rambling (especially at the beginning of your friendship/relationship)

remind him that you love all of his info dumps and learning about him and he just 😳🙁❤️ before picking up where he left off

letting him info dump for the first time . this man has not had somebody to info dump to in ?? so long?? the only person i see really engaging in it is rime so you see the problem here

especially if your interests don't really align and you go out of your way to indulge him and take part . it's those extra steps that get him all mushy and appreciative—it shows him that you care !!

once he's confident in the fact that you really do like listening to him, he regularly comes to talk to you about new things that he's found or random thoughts

it goes from like,, hesitating and asking if you'd mind hearing about his thoughts to him opening your door and going straight into a ramble while you're sitting there folding laundry or something

asking him to teach you about taxidermy and he starts bouncing off the walls because a lot of people find it unnerving or gross and he doesn't get to talk about the cool aspects of it

he was probably scared of scaring you off with it so you taking initiative saves him so much grief and anxiety . especially if your vibe/aesthetic is super different

picking out different things you think he might enjoy and he gets all flustered like Me? you were thinking about Me?

asking him about his Provocative Tomes TM and he feels like he's going to die . he most definitely has strong opinions once you're able to convince him to talk though

i'm talking anything that's unrealistic, bad pacing, word choice, any dynamics done badly . just because the man is horny doesn't mean he has Poor Taste.

if you want to read them he'll lend them to you after you swear you won't let anybody else (sage) see them and that you won't tease him to death after

you ask him a question about something and he gives you his signature smirk before saying "ah, good catch. you'll be glad to know . . ."

like he's so?? smart and knowledgeable about his passions he just never gets to show off >:(

he starts saying facts/info dumping to pick up conversations and fill silences which can definitely be some whiplash at first but then it's been 15 minutes and you're both going off

I Burn For You

***So THIS has been stuck in my head all day and I just- I love it. I love it so much. And it reminded me...So you guys all know how I hate/love Lucifer...it gave me those vibes. So........... Well I haven't written anything actually relevant to The Facade of the Suitor or anything else that I've been procrastinating, I have been able to push out this little short inspired by this beauty of a duet that is EVERYTHING to me. -B***

Summary: Since MC's arrival, Lucifer and them have never fully gotten along. There was always a large, unknown and undiscussed tension between them and they were fine to keep it that way. But when MC's security in the Devildom is threatened by both the angels and the nobility of the Devildom itself, everything changes. As a ruse to persuade the celestial realm, MC and Lucifer wed. After the ceremony, they finally talk about the unacknowledged feelings burning inside of both of them.

The air hung heavy and thick like the gold bands that now decorated both of your fingers.

You and Lucifer stood on opposite sides of the room, your backs facing one another with nothing but silence between you.

You couldn't help but reminisce on how you got here, on your supposed 'honeymoon' married to none other but the prideful, arrogant, avatar of sin, Lucifer Morningstar himself.

Diavolo had burst into the House of Lamentation an entire month ago. He desperately explained how the angels had received word about you through the fond, innocent-intending, stories of Luke and we're demanding that you be 'released' from your 'imprisonment in the infernal Devildom and that they wished to cleanse you of the 'hellish corruption' the demons had 'forced upon you' through your pacts. Wanting to avoid yet another Celestial War, even on a small scale, the noble court had wanted to agree and simply hand you over to them, cut your pacts, and banish you from returning as an act of agreement and co-operation with the angels.

Obviously, this didn't sit well with you or any of the brothers.

You had all tried to come up with a number of plans, but they all promised retaliation from the angels.

Eventually, it was Lucifer himself who begrudgingly came up with the final plan. The angels wouldn't believe you if you simply told them that you liked it here and wanted to stay. They'd think you were charmed or manipulated. However, if the two of you worked together, and pretended to be in a relationship, convince the angels of your 'genuine' feelings and prove to them that you were in love, and finalize this by marrying Lucifer, it just might work.

First of all, love was something that had sparked war in the past, that both sides had learned from and had grown to deeply treasure and value. Secondly, Micheal, head Archangel of the Celestial Realm, trusted Lucifer the most of all the brothers. The two of you could take advantage of that use it to convince him that you were actually safer in the Devildom by Lucifer's side. And finally, if you were willingly bound by marriage, there was very little that the Celestial Realm could do to force you to leave.

The plan wasn't terrible, but there was one thing about it that caused you to clench your fists and grind your teeth: it was with Lucifer.

Lucifer who constantly teased you and pushed your buttons in a way that he knew would cause you to either give in to him or snap.

Lucifer who was cruel and sadistic and did nothing unless there was some personal gain or it was under the demand of his precious Diavolo.

Lucifer who never ever put anything before his own stupid pride.

Though you were normally a calm and positive person, there was just something about Lucifer that had always caused an inferno of anger and rebellion to burn within you. You felt this strong need to constantly prove him wrong and to defy him.

As a result, the two of you consistently butted heads, arguing about Lucifer's treatment of his brothers and your recklessness on an almost weekly basis.

The idea of being chained to this...this demon for the rest of your mortal life caused your stomach to twist tightly into knots. Though, if it ensured you'd be able to stay with the rest of your found family? You'd make the necessary sacrifice.

So the two of you did the whole show. You went on dates, smiled and laughed together as though you were the lead roles in a Hallmark Christmas movie, and played every card in the book to convince the angels that you were safe and happy under the kind watch of your lover.

Those weeks had started off painful, as you pushed back all feelings of disdain for the eldest brother to play the role of the perfect partner. But as time passed, you hadn't noticed that it had become easier and easier to stay by his side. The smiles you gave him were no longer forced, but sincere ones that brought joy. The lines between what was real and what was fake began to blur.

You sealed the deal with your wedding only a few hours ago.

The vows Lucifer had spoken...promising to watch and protect you even as your skin wrinkled and your hair grew grey. To hold your hand and aid you when you no longer had the strength. To shower you in love and devotion even in your final hours.

They had been spoken with such passion and raw emotion that you didn't dare think too deeply about. It had caused your breath to catch in your throat, and you had to remind yourself that this was all an act. Soon the curtain would close, and Lucifer would return to the cold-hearted monster that you knew.

Yet even now, hours after the ceremony had finished, you couldn't get that intense gaze, and the sparks that exploded under your fingertips as his hands gently squeezed yours, out of your head.

Lucifer sighed from the other side of the room and glanced over at you. "Are we just going to continue ignoring each other?"

You scoffed and turned your head further away; ignoring the loud pounding of your heart and instead focusing on the flickers of frustration licking up your gut. "What else are we supposed to do? There's no one else around. The act is over."

You whirled around at his sarcasm and could practically feel the wrath blazing behind your eyes. "Sorry, my Lord, if I'm not exactly giddy about the fact that I just signed myself to the likes of you just for the approval of some fluffy winged assholes!"

You could practically hear Lucifer roll his eyes as he walked over to the liquor cart and poured himself a drink. "Right. So you just plan to spend the entirety of the weekend that Micheal paid for us brooding in a corner? How mature of you."

Lucifer, the fucker, had the gull to act unphased and casually swirled his drink in his hand. "It could be much, much worse," he took a sip of the amber liquid before staring down in his glass. "It's not as though you didn't agree to this."

"Only because I didn't want to be kicked out of the Devildom and never allowed to see your brothers again!" You growled. Your anger only grew as you noticed him clench his fingers tighter around the glass. You groaned and ran a hand through your hair. "This was a stupid plan! You probably just invented this entire ruse as yet another way to get under my skin. Well congratulations, Lucifer. You win!"

You refused to look at him, as you turned your heated gaze out the window.

You didn't see the flash of hurt that washed over his expression, nor hear the way his breath caught in his throat. "Is being married to me truly that awful? Are you honestly telling me that you haven't enjoyed even a single second of this past month?"

You tensed and crossed your arms over your chest, as you continued to avoid looking at him. "What kind of question is that? You're a demon who cares about nothing but himself," you pursed your lips and mentally tried to deny just how wrong those words felt on your tongue.

"I wouldn't say that's true. Believe it or not, I do care for my brothers." There was a shaky breath, one so uncharacteristic for the confident Morningstar, before he continued. "And you. I did promise to love you until your final breath after all, and I do not break my promises."

There was silence once again. Though this quiet seemed to crackle with the anticipation for something, though neither of you quite knew what.

You closed your eyes, refusing to acknowledge the flutter in your heart at his words. "Those vows were only part of the act. They weren't real."

"Perhaps not for you," your eyes snapped open at the response. You looked back at the demon. Lucifer stood leaning against the wall, drink still in hand, as he stared intensely at the floor. "This may have all been an act for you, MC, but it stopped being a ruse for me mere hours after we began."

You felt yourself frown as you stared at him. Your traitor heart dared to grow warm with hope, only adding fuel to the growing frustration inside you. "You're lying. You're just trying to get me worked up again."

"Actually, I'm not," his eyes met yours and it felt as though time froze. His expression was so unguarded, so honest. For once, you looked into his eyes and you could see every emotion that he wore openly before you. You could see the hurt, the certainty, and most of all the same passionate love that shone so brightly in them throughout the ceremony. "From the moment I met you, you caused a fire to ignite in my heart. I was determined to control you and to make you be the human representative for Diavolo. But then, you acted against me, and that changed. I still wanted to make sure that you fulfilling your purpose in the exchange program, but I took on the challenge of finally having you respect and listen to me. You were stubborn and fierce, yet so beautifully driven and I admired that." your eyes widened at the admission. "It wasn't until I was forced to look at you in a romantic light for this scheme that I understood the true nature of these feelings. It wasn't that I wanted to control you, or break you, or shape you into what I needed. It was so much deeper, so much more dangerous than that. I wanted to have you fall in love for me, as I had fallen for you, and make you mine."

He sighed heavily and ran a hand through his hair. "I know you don't feel the same. I've accepted that. But I...I'm done with acting like this isn't real for me. I refuse to pretend that there's nothing there between us any longer."

He finally broke eye contact, looking back at his now empty glass as you practically gaped at him. Love. Lucifer...loved you? You gulped and took a step towards him, "Lucifer..."

The fire burning within you consumed you as your face heated up. "You...You love me? You actually love me?"

You flinched as he glared sharply at you. "Don't rub it in."

You didn't know what to make of that. You weren't sure what to make of any of this. Your feelings towards Lucifer had changed over the past month, but you had assumed that was simply part of the act. But if everything he had done and said as you two were pretending to be a couple was real, then what did that mean for you?

What did that mean for the way the sight of him caused your heart to skip? Or the way his rare smiles never failed to make you smile back? Or the unwavering sense of comfort and security that he provided?

What did that mean for the ruthless, scalding fire that he had always caused to rage inside you? You always assumed it was anger, but what if...

The demon tensed as he blinked in confusion. "You...I'm sorry, you what?"

You moved closer to him, each step more certain than the last, as you shakily spoke the words that rang through you. "I burn for you, Lucifer. I don't know entirely what it means myself, but ever since we met you've caused this irrational passion and drive to sear inside of me. I-I had always assumed it was hatred. You're so infuriating. Every word you speak does nothing but cause that fire to flare brighter within in. Every action leaves me filled with sparks of restless energy that won't be satiated until I combust at you," as you now stood nearly toe to toe with him, you grabbed his hand and placed it over your roaring heart. Hope flickered like a candle in the darkness of his black eyes. "I had thought that this couldn't be anything other than anger and hatred. I refused to believe even the possibility that it could be anything else. But this past month you...you were honest and almost kind and vulnerable. Your teasing didn't make me want to punch you, but rather made me laugh. You showed me a side of you that I didn't even know existed. I...I think-"

You were cut off by a finger on your lips. Lucifer looked down at you with a stern, cold expression. The action paired with that face would've caused you to become infuriated by his audacity and superiority complex in the past. But now you could see past it, and could see it for what it truly was: a carefully crafted barrier that hid his most vulnerable feelings and protected him. "If you do not mean the words you were about to say, if you are pitying me, I must demand that you stop here. Do not say those words unless you truly mean them," his deep voice was tinged with distrust and caution.

You held his gaze as you kissed the pad of the finger against your lips and whispered gently, "Lucifer, I think that I love you."

Suddenly your lips were captured in his as he pulled you close and ever so adoringly cupped your face. For the first time since meeting him, the flames inside you were extinguished by the cold touch of his hands on your face and the surprising gentleness of his affection.

His hand slid from your face and came to rest on your shoulder as his eyes widened. His gaze scanned your expression for any traces of falsehood or insincerity. You could hear the breath leave his lungs as he found none.

He softly kissed his temple, effectively hiding his face as it grew redder and whispered, "Of course, beloved."

Lucifer laughed as he pulled away, his thumb caressing your cheek, as he smiled. "To think it only took us getting married to realize it," you laughed as you felt happy tears prick the corners of your eyes. Lucifer sighed in content as rested his forehead against yours. "Remind me to send a thank you to, Micheal."

You hummed and nuzzled closer to him as you rested your head on his shoulder. "Forget Micheal. He's still an asshole as far as I'm concerned. Instead, focus on me. On us. I want to learn everything about you, about the real you," you smiled as he looked down at you with flushed cheeks. "My husband, Lucifer Morningstar."

You couldn't help but wonder how you had been so oblivious to your true feelings as a shiver ran down your spine and warmth spread throughout your chest simultaneously.

This honest and pure love between the two of you, was new, yet it felt so familiar, and it was abundantly clear to both of you that the depth of those feelings would only become clearer and clearer in time as the fires of your love only grew.

Jungwon's relation with members and how he feels as a leader

*I'm a beginner in tarot and still learning. Please take this reading as a grain of salt. For entertainment purposes only. No hate towards the artist. Hope you enjoy💕❤️

JUNGWON-HEESEUNG

He feels like they're close friends and he can always share his feelings/thoughts to his hyung. At times he may hold himself back from doing so, and its probably because of age gap. He feels sometimes like Heeseung isn't really good at handling finances and he needs to start doing it. He sees Heeseung as a powerful and successful individual and he really admires that a lot. I think he feels like both of them don't communicate a lot and if they keep doing so, it might lead to a lot of misunderstandings. He views Heeseung as someone who is a bit indecisive and get stressed easily.

JUNGWON-JAY

They're besties✨ He feels like both of them get along very well. He feels like Jay should start saving (lol, Jungwon is all about savings😂). He feels like Jay has this immense thirst of knowledge and he really like that. He feels like at times Jay stresses out while at work but at the same time works well under pressure/stress. He feels like Jay is bossy and expects everything to go his way and this creates trouble/ problems in their friendship.

JUNGWON-JAKE

He's close to Jake, imo they're like the epitome of brother from another mother. I think Jake has impacted and influenced his life a lot as his hyung(ofc in a good way) and Jungwon really loves him for that. He feels like Jake is very very trustworthy and honest. He's learnt a lot of things from Jake and he's thankful for that( Now, I know why he chose Jake to be his dad in one of those variety shows🥺 ). He likes the way Jake is good with finances and hopes that he's like that always(lol, he's really a sucker for savings and we're here for it✨). In his opinion, Jake is very nurturing and has a motherly vibe to him.

JUNGWON-SUNGHOON

They're not really close but Jungwon wants to get to know Sunghoon more and become close with him. Again, our finance police(Jungwon) wants his hyung to be careful with his budget and expenses. He feels like Sunghoon needs mental stability and go out somewhere to feel better. He feels like once Sunghoon takes some time for himself out of his stressful life as an idol and mc, he'll be back to normal.

JUNGWON-SUNOO

He feels like Sunoo needs to walk away from things that are not good for him. He feels that just like Jay, Sunoo has immense thirst for knowledge too. In his opinion, Sunoo is 2nd person in En- who is responsible when it comes to money but at times strays away and might spend a lot more on something. He feels like Sunoo is a total romantic (not to mention that my dude is a cancer). And he cares a lot for people around him.

JUNGWON-NIKI

Now these two have a stable friendship, they give quality time to each other and make sure that they're always there for each other. He feels like he needs to take care of Niki as he's still naive and younger to him. Finance police loves how even though being a maknae, Niki is very good with money and handling finances.(*proudly claps with a smile*). He feels like Niki should talk to others about how he feels and be open about it, so that it doesn't cause misconceptions. He feels like Niki is still a kid and the job that he does is very stressful and it worries Jungwon a lot(Leadernim loves his maknae but doesn't let him know). *Sighs* we all know how much negativity Niki experiences even for the smallest things he does, and Jungwon really worries a lot for Nik and his mental health as he's still a kid.

Jungwon's feelings as a leader.

Honestly as much as our Wonie doesn't show it, he really gets stressed a lot as a leader. He feels very grateful for having such loyal and honest+caring people who are always there for him. My dude thinks that it's time for some of his members to be financially responsible and not really waste money on useless thing( afterall he's the finance police of En-). He feels emotionally attached and safe with his members almost as if they're his other family.

MAJOR spoilers for anyone who has not played The Great Ace Attorney/Dai Gyakuten Saiban yet, but this post is tagged as such. My posts are tagged with "tgaa spoilers" and "dgs spoilers". Now then, let's proceed...

As I was going through my AA photos/screenshots, the image of Barok below caused my otome game brainrot to kick in. Pray forgive the discourtesy of yet another otome-related post. I was thinking about including this photo of Barok in my original post but decided against it. So here are some more thoughts about Barok's route, which also includes the other characters.

Preface: I know otome games are geared towards women, as the name implies, and usually feature a female protagonist/main character (MC), but I decided to keep it gender neutral and refer to MC as „they“, „their“ and „them“, because why not. Everyone is allowed to enjoy these games.

Our MC would get their hands on this photo of young Barok and be utterly confused. They'd use it as an opportunity to talk to him to figure out what happened. Barok sometimes smiles for our MC ever so slightly (and for our MC only!), but he's usually pretty stoic, so they thought he just happens to be someone who simply doesn't smile a lot, but after seeing this old photo, they realise that there must be more to it. Who is that man to his left? He looks very similar to Barok. Why are they so happy? Barok isn't ready to open up and talk about his past because he doesn't trust MC enough yet (kuudere vibes). So MC investigates on their own, which Barok finds out and doesn't appreciate. He thought he finally found someone who respects his boundaries. They have their first fallout and temporarily part ways. A week or so later, MC shows up on Barok's doorstep, quite distraught over what happened. While Barok doesn't want to talk, he can't stand seeing someone he appreciates in pain, so he lets them in. MC explains that they feel bad for disrespecting him and can completely understand that there needs to be a solid foundation of trust first. They assumed that they are already at that stage in their relationship. The player then has the choice to let it go (can lead to a bad or normal ending) or to tell him that they won't leave until he opens up, at least a little. MC tells him that they aren't like other people. They won't fake loyalty only to betray him; instead, they will show sincere loyalty by not letting him be alone. Barok has learned to read people, so he knows he can entrust some of his deepest secrets to MC. After telling them how he has lost so much (the details are left out for now) and how he sometimes questions his stubborn selflessness and dedication to a society that ostracises him, we see him cry for the first time. Our big man sitting on a sofa next to MC, desperately trying to hold back his tears. He apologises for this sudden outburst of emotions. Yet MC carefully puts his arms around Barok, pulling him closer for him to rest his head on their shoulders. These are the tears of someone who hasn’t cried in years, someone who hasn’t had anyone to share his deepest feelings with. MC puts a gentle kiss on Barok’s forehead and promises to assist him in his investigations of the Reaper even if he isn't ready to discuss the events of the past in detail just yet. Barok points out that he may very well be the Reaper, so why is MC the only person who believes in him? Because MC has known Barok for a while now. He has let MC closer than anyone else in the past ten years. MC has seen how he treats people with care and his unwavering belief in justice. There’s warmth and gentleness behind those sad yet deep eyes. (What a heart-wrenching but also endearing CG the player must be graced with here). And that's their big breakthrough. (For anyone who isn’t familiar with the acronym „CG“. It stands for „computer graphic“ and is beautiful art the player can unlock at certain points in the game, usually during an important event or scene).

Let’s get the bad and normal endings out of the way first. I hope no one would pursue a bad ending here because neither Barok nor Kazuma nor Ryunosuke deserve that headache lmao. But seeing the events that transpired in 2-4 and 2-5, this alternate tragic ending certainly would have been a possibility. In the bad ending, Barok is still being prosecuted by Kazuma for Gregson's murder, and subsequently, for "being the Reaper". Barok's innocence with regards to Gregson's murder is established, but Ryunosuke is unable to prove that Barok is not related to the Reaper organisation and hence the prosecution gets him a false guilty verdict for "being the head of the Reaper organisation". Barok has to spend the next few years in prison. He ultimately loses all faith in people. All he now has left is MC, who promises to remain by his side, but only as a friend (at least for now, you never know). Ryunosuke and Kazuma, as well as everyone else, would suffer, too, but it's not their routes, and I want to focus on the happy ending, so I won't go there. The normal ending is essentially the canon events in the games. MC and Barok still become a couple afterwards, albeit the other surrounding circumstances (more on that in the next paragraph) aren’t as fulfilling. I guess we could describe it as a semi-happy or acceptable ending for Barok and everyone else. Which brings us to the happy ending.

In the happy ending, which the player can achieve after having selected all the „right“ choices and, most importantly, MC and Barok have their moment of closeness as described above, 2-4 and 2-5 never happen. Barok enlightens MC about Gregson's involvement in the Reaper organisation but that one piece of the puzzle is still missing, however, he has to keep a low profile so as to not arouse suspicion. Barok enlists Sholmes' and Ryunosuke's services to help him figure out what that last piece is, because Sholmes can do whatever he wants without drawing attention to himself. Ryunosuke is the only person— aside from MC—who Barok has learned to trust. Together with Barok's intel and access to resources, the trio is able to expose Stronghart and Jigoku. Our friends still learn the truth about the Professor case but decide to keep it to themselves. Bad decisions were made ten years ago by everyone involved, but their respective family members needn't bear the burden of those mistakes so they may instead use their own strengths to actually have a positive impact on society. What really matters is that their descendants were able to learn what really happened. Here are the alternate happy endings as well as the events that transpire not too long after the trial:

Gregson never ends up on the ship and survives. He is send to prison to atone for his crimes, yet he will be fine in the long run and swears to make amends for his actions. He apologises to Barok for dragging him into the whole Reaper situation.

Gina vows to visit Gregson often and has already forgiven him. She knows that Gregson’s crimes most certainly are nothing for the faint-hearted, but she understands that she, too, made mistakes in her previous life, like everyone else. She tells Gregson that he deserves a second chance.

Kazuma has no chance to pursue Barok and is grateful that he was stopped in his tracks. Because he's a good person, he made a promise to himself that—unlike his father before him—he will never take "justice" in his own hands and never strike a deal with the dark forces (well, never again, that is, as he did once accept a deal). He understands that the end doesn’t justify the means. Becoming corrupt to stop corruptness defeats the purpose. Because the trial never took place, he won't have to deal with the negative consequences of his actions, such as receiving a penalty or even worse. He promises Ryunosuke/Susato and Barok to become the best prosecutor there is and enrolls in university to complete his studies while simultaneously staying under Barok’s tutelage. He has been revived.

Barok is even more determined now that he's been freed from the curse and knows the truth about his brother. He will always love Klint for who he was as a private person. While he can certainly understand what led to his brother’s actions, he can’t condone them. Also here, the end doesn’t justify the means. Corruptness can't fight corruptness. Barok is glad that he always retained his strength and beliefs and is motivated to now work his way up to Lord Chief Justice and then Attorney General to have an even greater impact on the judicial system so unfortunate situations like ten years ago hopefully never have to occur again.

With Stronghart out of the way, Barok promises to do everything in his power to give Dr. Sithe another chance in life. He is aware of Sithe's positive contributions to the judiciary and does not want for Maria to lose her mother. He knows that she will already struggle enough with accepting the truth about her mother being corrupt as well as a murderer. Barok decided to intervene because he knows that not everyone should be send to the gallows, a change he wants to see in the future. No doubt Sithe will still have to spend a few years in prison, and she won’t be able to go back to being a coroner ever again because there is no foundation of trust anymore, but there is a high chance she will be offered a professor position at the University of London to assist young talent on their paths. Maria takes over her mother’s coroner position because she has proven her dedication to proper justice.

Barok convinces Sholmes and Iris to allow him to assist them with submitting the necessary paperwork to the official authorities to have their inventions properly assessed and approved so they can actually be used as evidence in court. Iris, who has overhead how everyone discussed her heritage in Barok’s office, confronts Barok about their relationship. They make a pinky promise to make up for the lost time, with Barok using his resources and status to assist Iris in fulfilling her dreams. She proclaims that she wants to divide her time between Sholmes’ residence and Barok’s manor(s). Sholmes and Barok promise to become friends.

Yujin never asks Ryunosuke to return to his home country. With Kazuma having chosen to become a prosecutor (at least for now), Yujin and Barok come together to convince both governments to allow a second student to stay in Great Britain. Ryunosuke is provided with the opportunity to enroll in university to get a legal degree and to keep defending people in court when the need arises.

Susato stays on Ryunosuke’s side as his legal assistant and may even be able to become an attorney in the future (once a certain future Attorney General can use his influence to convince the highest powers in the land). Susato and Ryunosuke are happy to be able to stay at Kazuma's side.

Yujin himself is offered a visiting professor position at the University of London. His and Dr. Sithe's paths are probably going to cross in the future. He moves back in with Sholmes for the time being. The detective pair has been reunited.

Barok and MC confess their love for each other and make their relationship official while having their new friends over for tea. Now that MC knows how much he has really lost, how he has been betrayed by so many, and how torturing the past decade was, they vow to never leave his side again and provide him with the love and respect he deserves as a human being.

In the epilogue to Barok’s route after the happy ending, Barok and MC spend a peaceful day at Barok’s countryside manor leisurely strolling through the fields nearby. They come to a stop under the tree where Klint first taught Barok how to use his leg. After reminiscing for a while, Barok gets on his knees before MC to propose to them with the most beautiful ring they’ve ever seen. The tree has a symbolic meaning. Thanks to MC’s stubbornness, Barok is able to smile again like he did in the past around his brother, free from the shackles of mistrust that have plagued him for so long. He pulls out a yard sign with MC’s name on it to officially dedicate the tree to them. The player is rewarded with two beautiful CGs. A wonderful future awaits both of them.

I always pursue happy endings in otome games with lots of save points so I can go back should the need arise. If I have successfully gotten a happy ending, I usually just look up the normal or bad endings online. I want to see characters struggle, just as I want there to be ups and downs, but in the end I want them be rewarded with the happiness they’ve yearned for all along. Well, doing big posts all together worked for a while but lately I’ve been putting it off because it takes a long time to get them done. I think I’m gonna try switching back to answering asks whenever I can fit it in and posting them one at a time instead of waiting until I’ve filled out one of these major collections.

I’m afraid not. Steam doesn’t have Android builds on their own site and Steam is not cool with keys for other sites being given out for Steam purchases, so you don’t get the Itch version from buying on Steam.

Hello! Sorry to bother you but, I had a question, if we buy the Game on itchio do we get steam keys or would we need to purchase it twice?

You would have to buy it twice if you want it in both places, I’m sorry. To repeat myself a little, Steam doesn’t like the key trading thing. Itch may support giving keys for another site, but the reverse isn’t doable with Steam and Steam doesn’t even really want you to get a Steam key for buying somewhere else either. So we just don’t mess around with that.

It’s free! There’s a paid wedding DLC, but Step 4 itself is entirely unpaid.

It’s not, aha. Unfortunately, 2021 wasn’t easier than 2020 as we hoped so things are still slower than planned. It’ll come out late 2021 or early 2022.

Hi! Firstly I just want to say that I LOVE Our Life. I have played a bit of similar games but this one instantly wins for the best one! Everything about it is amazing! I just wanted to ask if Derek would ever lose feelings for MC, like if they make the deal and then MC gets with Cove would he move on? and even if you don't, after "losing contact" would his feeling fade or would he still like MC?

If you don’t really keep in touch with him and clearly move on with your life, Derek will too and he’ll be over it. But if you are still close as best as you can be, he’ll still think the MC is special. Though, he’ll always support your relationship with someone else if that’s what’ll make you happy.

She’s related to Pamela and Pamela’s last name is the one they use, so the MC has the same last name as Lee.

Will we be able to choose which (they or he) we tend to call Qiu by more often, or will it randomly change depending on the moment?

Qiu knows which pronoun they’re comfortable with at a time and you’ll call them what they’re happy with. And it doesn’t change between lines, it takes multiple scenes or even full Steps for it to switch. So for extended periods Qiu will be totally a guy or fully agender.

Will Step 4 of OL2 have moments?

It’ll be an epilogue like it is in OL1, so it won’t have a bunch of different Moments.

It isn’t based on one specific town you can go to, but there are a lot of little coastal towns in Cali that have a similar vibe!

You wouldn’t get the DLCs for backing there. The Patreon is for extra bonus content/early access, rather than being a storefront to purchase the normal DLCs. Rarely we give them out as a side gift, but it hardly happens and if what you want is the DLCs it’s best to ignore the Patreon and buy keys for those directly from Itch or Steam. I’m sorry for the confusion.

I just played the game with the MC and Cove being best friends and omg it’s still so damn cute like the wholesomeness of it all is too much for my heart I swear ^.^ Now with that all said I was wondering can we still marry Cove? if we only love him as a friend like let’s say we’ve made deal with him similar to the one we can make with Derek because let’s real no one could compete with what the MC and Cove have even if they aren’t in love.

It’s great to hear you enjoyed the friendship story! You can live with Cove, but you can’t marry him platonically. Cove has familial affection for the MC if they’re best-est friends. He wouldn’t think to marry someone he loves like family and even grew up with as though they truly were siblings.

Maybe you missed telling Cove you were in love with him even if you mentioned wanting to get married or you might’ve accidentally said earlier in the game that you don’t want to progress your relationship further with Cove. We haven’t removed them, so you can get the scene again. It’s just kind of easy to miss since there’s multiple requirements. You can read a little guide in the FAQ.

Technically, yes. We treat the non-romantic relationship options as truly non-romantic since we don’t want to bait and switch people. But there’s nothing wrong with headcanoning that Cove does have feelings developing for the MC even before the MC has.

Is there a way to make/allow Lee and Baxter to date?

No, they just don’t have enough time together.

We also got a group of asks related to Tamarack in OL2, but I’m afraid the way they talked about people with larger bodies made me not want to post their words, even if the person didn’t say they’re trying to be hurtful. I will separate out the core question and answer it though, so people can know that info.

Does Tamarack lose weight in later Steps?

No, she doesn’t. As for the other questions included, to be honest, I don’t have to explain/defend having romance options of different sizes. First, is there a set year in which OL:B&A takes place (ex: Step 1 being set in 2010 & Step 2 being set in 2016, etc.) or is it simply up to interpretation? And we don’t currently plan on making a game like that. The Our Life series exists to be a safer environment for people to play around in and if we did do a brand new series that was harsher edged it’d be something more fantastical and/or plot-driven instead of a different type of modern day slice-of-life growing up story. Step 4 will be coming out very soon! OL2 is gonna take until 2023 to be anywhere near completion. But we might episodically release the Steps one at a time as they get done instead of waiting for three to be finished before launch like we did with the first game.

The issue is that the CGs take huge amounts of time rather than there not being a budget for it. He’s gotta make CGs for Step 4, the DLCs, and new character sprites, too. Me and my sister first joked about it because I couldn't remember how to translate a word about the way Cove was sitting, so I just did the pose, and it looked a lot like how L himself sits! Then we just snowballed from there, with more and more nonsense connections.

(The continuation of this post where during a spell class a portal opened and the boys' female doubles as well as MC's appeared in the class) (I think I could make it an independent "story" for the adventures of my MC /OC /YUU)

My MC /OC /YUU and his double crossing the gaze in the class: * Double bi panic *

*Now we will have to find a solution to bring these young ladies and this gentleman back to their reality, but in the meantime here is the look of our twisted guys if they were girls*

Dorm leaders:

Riddle: Looks both serious and cute, with a round cheeky face and big eyes with long thick lashes as well as a pretty pixie haircut. Obviously she stays small but is always bigger than my MC OC YUU, her voice both soft and sharp, a very interesting contrast.

Leona: Made more of a woman than a young girl, still has magnificent hair, bewitching eyes and has a very toned and nicely muscular body. His voice is deep with that tone both seductive and bored. She knows perfectly well that she is beautiful, that she has charm and adores the handset with her immense intelligence. It's an absolutely formidable combo. She is the same height as her male double.

Azul: Gives that mafia-like aura (Or Sugar Mummy), with her hair styled in an impeccable bun and her tailor that is both professional and flatters her gorgeous figure perfectly. Her smile is both sweet and dangerous. But we all know that deep down she is a sweet girl who needs reassurance and who needs to realize how smart, hardworking, and beautiful she is (and we know any of us don't would stop proving it to her). She must be two or three centimeters shorter than her male double.

Kalim: She's still a sun ball and a full cinnamon roll! So positive and supportive! Tie up her long silver hair with a cute headband and always do her makeup in warm tones (where instead Jamil helps her with her makeup like that). Always wears tons of gold bracelets on her wrists and ankles, is very tactile, and has no problem cuddling the people she loves and appreciates! Is the kind of friend who makes sure you eat well and that you don't miss anything. (I can see her thinking that she and Jamil have more of a sister relationship than a master and servant relationship). Is exactly the same size as her male double.

Vil: Let's be honest here, Vil would be the most gorgeous woman who hasn't set foot at Night Raven College for decades after The Beautiful Queen! You almost feel like she's straight out of a fashion magazine but no, it's just that our Reine des Poisons takes so much care of her and works so hard to come to such potential! Her magnificent hair would reach her shoulders, her voice would be as beautiful as honey on a slice of bread and her makeup and manicure would be as perfect as it gets! Maybe she would be a little taller than her male double (even without heels). (I don't know why but apart from her care and makeup, I also see her very well making her own jewelry as well as her perfume).

Idia: Haired with two long, fiery quilts, she would be more the type to have an e-girl style but with very loose clothes that would not show her forms (the poor one does not realize that she has the potential to become a model for lingerie). Her voice would be both sweet and high-pitched, and she could also be smaller than her male double. (And Husbando, so many Husbando!). Doesn't trust her smile because of her sharp teeth but that is her charm and she is so fucking cute! Maybe she would be more organized and manic than her double even if her room would still be in a very big mess (at least she didn't leave her underwear lying around in plain sight, she would die of shame if anyone saw the cute and childish little designs on it).

Malleus: This woman ... Would be exactly the same size as her male double! And she would be so beautiful and elegant! With long black hair that she would let hang down her back, as well as her incredible figure! (Also gives those Magical Sugar Mummy vibes). His voice, by all the gods ... The most sensual and that playful note we've ever heard. Her voice is also so deep and sweet (let's not even talk about her laugh or I'll die of happiness). Still gives that awesome and intimidating impression on people but is so sweet when you get to know her (Always make that adorable pout when she's sad or upset, you feel like hugging her tight and telling her that even though she is scary in the early days, she's the sweetest person we've ever met!).

The Vice-leader:

Trey: Don't lie to each other, give these married vibes over and over again. But beware, also hides his game very well because in private ... 🥵. Her beautiful hair tied in a ponytail and her voice in playful tones. Would be the type to wear stockings with his uniform and is the same size as his male double. Smells like cake and vanilla, it's both so nice and it also makes you so hungry!

Ruggie: Is quite skinny because as we know Ruggie often endures difficult months. Short and messy hair, has a cheerful voice and an infectious laugh (Quite fond of pretty things in the background, but since she doesn't have much money, she can't really afford it. If she could, she would certainly treat herself to some pretty hair accessories). Perhaps an unacknowledged Tsundere side. Since she cannot feed herself properly for someone her age, she is most certainly smaller than the average for a Beast Woman. Would probably like to have a cuter look, unfortunately she can't afford it as she doesn't want to look "weak".

Jade: Holy shit, this woman is so dangerous and sweetly sadistic, if you ever pique her interest and she likes you on top of that, I'm sorry for you. Her body is certainly muscular and graceful (She also has quite incredible strength). Has long, wavy hair that she wears half-loose and is exactly the same height as her male double. Her voice and at the same time so soft and cold, you don't know if you should feel comfortable or on the contrary, run as far as possible. Obviously loves going for long hikes, (Her legs are so muscular, if she catches you with that, you won't be able to go anywhere). His tone is so teasing, you can't resist him for long.

Jamil: Very tall, even a few inches taller than her male double. Just like Trey, she smells so good, like cinnamon. Has a fairly athletic build, and remained a very, very good dancer. Very skillful, maybe makes her own wrist and ankle bracelets, also wears a lot of jewelry (not as expensive as Kalim's, but still very pretty and it shows her really well, especially the snake designs ), also wears a lot of ear piercings. His hair is very long, silky, and worn the same way as the male Jamil (maybe with extra pearls in his hair). Her voice is deep (sensual) and with a note of irony and sarcasm. Her make up apply lightly but always in such beautiful warm tones (she also highlights her cheekbones), especially with eyeliner to highlight her intense gaze.

Rook: His hair is worn in the same way as the male Rook, also wears a multitude of hats as well as pretty earrings. Likes to tease those around her, smiling and bright. Has a French accent, of course. But remains someone dangerous in the end. Is the same height as her double, is athletic, skillful and has excellent eyesight (Normal for a hunter). See beauty in everything and everyone! Don't you think you're handsome? Rook will give you ten points for why she thinks you are beautiful and why you should stop thinking that way because otherwise she will stalk you until you accept this truth. Her voice is happy and confident, deep and warm. May like to wear accessories like long socks with natural or animal designs. Specialized in throwing knives.

Ortho: So cute! The little sister you will want to protect at the risk of your life! So smart and friendly, curious too. Wears a cute fiery pixie hairstyle and has a cheerful, thin voice. Is so small and skinny.

Lilia: Oh boy ... see Draculaura from Monster Hight? She has the same look. So much into jokes, loves to surprise people to scare them. Her voice contrasts completely with her appearance since it is deep and velvety. Same size as her male double. Even though she looks so young, she still acts like a child mom. (Obviously, is always so bad in the kitchen, she brings out stuff, sometimes you are afraid that it will come to life to devour you). Despite her jokes, she is still very good advice and listens.

The rest of our boys:

Cater: If fashionable, is certainly a great influencer. Cater pays so much attention to everything, especially the little details and accessories that she wear. Makeup always on top and colorful, could become a model if she wanted. Is smaller than her male double. Joyful and higher pitched voice, her hair is a bundle of silky curls always worn in a cute way (Like Ariana Grande). (Has a multitude of fans and contenders) carefree and likes to give cute or silly nicknames to people she loves and appreciates. Would be the type to flirt with his friends for fun. Probably has a passion for nail art and would be so proud to show off her designs on her Magicam account! Would act with the first years like a big sister although she is not always good advice. She is so teasing.

Ace: Short, messy hair! Pretty tomboy style, enjoys teasing others too much for his own good, always smiling like shit and communicative. Is a sporty person, and quite arrogant, maybe also a little Tsundere side. Is a hopeless hideaway romantic. Even though she likes to do her makeup, she doesn't like taking fifteen years to do it and does the minimum required. Of course has a more feminine side when she's out of school, but honestly, feminine clothes are never practical for big movements. Act confidently but not too deep down. Her voice is happy and dynamic. Is one or two centimeters smaller than her male double. Likes to wear necklaces and chokers. Rather skinny but not as much as Ruggie.

Deuce: So sweet and so want to do her best to make her mom proud of her. Wearing long hair tied in a low ponytail, her voice is high-pitched and strong. Is quite tall (even taller than her male double). Read romance books on the sly but can't help herself when someone finds out. Probably already dyed his hair blonde during his delinquent period and dyed it before entering Night Raven College. Likes to wear barrettes in her hair, also does her best with her makeup but was not used to it before (it was mainly Ace who taught her everything she knows). Secretly loves wearing skirts and dresses, she hasn't been able to experience it before because she didn't think it would look pretty on her (But she's actually pretty). Certainly be shy and insecure when she finds new people, afraid of doing things badly. Blushes so easily that it is funny. When his delinquent side resurfaces, his voice becomes more serious, threatening, his posture leaves no room for shyness! She might want to change for the better, but that doesn't mean she's going to let others do if they want to bully her!

Jack: Do you see Jasper in the Steven Universe? You now have Jack as a woman. She is muscular and strong! The part she's most proud of is her muscular back! His silvery hair his savage and remained indomitable (But that gives him a crazy charm). Don't take shit from people and still is a Tsundere. But her wagging tail always betrayed her about her emotions, as well as her ears. Same size as her male double. Secretly loves cute things and certainly has an army of adorable stuffed animals in her room in Savanaclaw. Wears a biker style, and because she lives in a cold region with her family, she doesn't get cold easily, so her muscular arms are uncovered all the time (for your viewing pleasure 😏). Her voice is serious, so serious! But if you're friends, you definitely hear that thoughtful little note in her voice. If his male version is the Best Boy, his female version is the Best Girl! She takes care of those she loves and is always ready to help!

Floyd: Is exactly the same size as his male double. Wear her hair short cut in a boyish style (she doesn't have the time or the energy to dwell on her hair). Her voice has high notes, especially when she finds something or someone cute! Very expressive, has no filter. Like her sister, she is muscular and graceful. Her dress style could be similar to those of men in the 40's (she much prefers masculine clothes because it is more comfortable and she doesn't have to worry about her chest with large shirts. does not have to wear a bra!). Love accessories like earrings or piercings. Has immense strength and doesn't always control it. Dislikes makeup, she doesn't want to bother with it (but finds it charming on others, that's just her personal opinion). If its male version is not to be upset, it also works with its female version! Especially when it is at this time of the month, run away poor fools!

Epel: The same problem as with its male version! Except that instead of being manly, she wants us to find her sexy and not cute! All her life in her hometown has not to stop telling her that she was cute! Really ? Was she nothing else ?! She wants people she finds attractive to find her sexy, not cute! Just because she is petite, because she has big, innocent eyes and a round, youthful face, doesn't mean it's her definition of beauty or femininity! Much like her appearance, her voice is cute, slender. Her hair is long, wavy and held up with a red ribbon in an elegant manner. Compare to her male version, Vil lets her speak with her accent because it is one of her charm assets. Her face is decorated with delicate freckles. Is quite skinny with a tiny bit of shape but not a lot (let's say she has a lot more than Riddle). Epel is a little smaller than the male Epel, but not much.

Silver: She is the equivalent of Disney Princess Aurora. Except that, unlike, even if she falls asleep anywhere, she doesn't need a knight to protect her, she is her own knight! Remain a formidable swordsman! In spite of everything, remains someone calm and taciturn, very easygoing. She is very fond of animals and as they naturally flock to her, she is very happy about this fact. Wear her hair up to the shoulders and tie it in a ponytail for practice. She has a fairly toned body, but not too much. Her voice is soft and measured. She is much smaller than her male double.

Sebek: Acts hard but is so soft in the end. Looks pissed off all the time but that's just her natural expression. Wears her hair like her male version, and is the same size. Her voice carries so far, it's very impressive the first time you hear her! It is a bit sharp, but not in an unpleasant way. Carries so much esteem and respect towards Malleus, she would also like so much to be like her but she would never dare to compare herself to her! Blushes so hard and so quickly if you press the right buttons, it's so funny to see her get annoyed! Her figure is quite toned and sporty.

And finally, My MC /OC /YUU: Just like his female version, he wears round glasses, is always 150cm tall and has long wavy hair. Has fairly broad shoulders and is slightly muscular without really being so. Does everything possible to make girls feel comfortable and safe in his presence! He knows how exhausting the life and daily life of women is because of societal pressures and the male gaze. He knows that because of assholes, women are afraid of men and are afraid to even be in the same room as them, so he will do his best to ensure that she never feels that way around him! And if someone has the audacity to make one of them feel these feelings, oh boy ... that person won't last long! He was raised by his mother alone, and she taught him respect, consent and righteous values. He is an ally, so rest assured 😊😉. His voice is soft and serious (Also watching him get angry and argued in French is quite impressive! The sound of Rs in his mouth sounds even more aggressive).

Deaf MC vs Devildom

A HUGE thanks to @jaywalk-on-me for reaching out to me about this subject. I really hope I have given this it some justice.

Also, to avoid some of the controversies inside the Deaf Culture: I will not be referencing cochlear implants.

And a note for my fellow hearing people, there is definetelly not much difference between us and deaf/hard of hearing people, in fact, after reading about it, I can hardly consider it a disability seeing it can actually allow them to percieve the world in a much different way from ours and would not have any problems in their life if only us, hearing peers, were cooperative and understanding. Everything we need to do is literally minor details and does not hinder our own lifes in the slightest, in fact, it can even help us too! An example is captioning, there is literally nothing to lose, and honestly, even I put captioning on movies of my mother lenguage because sometimes I just can't understand what is being said and captions really help me with that and enjoy whatever I am watching to the fullest! So let's be more understanding. We are all humans, and can all learn from each other's perspective.

He won't force you to speak if you choose not to, but he sure will never stop being delighted to hear your voice if you do.

It still baffles him how observant you are, may start trusting you to find details he missed on certain things.

Mammon

He definetelly forgot everything he learned on sign lenguage the moment he stepped out of the tutoring Lucifer made him and all his brothers, except for Levi and Satan, go through.

Yes he will mistake around 5 signs per day on the first week of your arrival in the Devildom.

And he will often forget that you most likelly cannot hear him (if his voice frequency doesn't match your hearing that is) and go off blabbing without signing and then just go "oi why ya ignoring me" and he definetelly is this close 👌to being wacked with the closest thing at range.

Again, he gets better too.

In fact, once he warms up to you (and that's like, real fucking fast) he will make so much effort to get things right, and he always pays attention to have captions in movie nights even without you asking??

He tries lip reading once when you told him it's not easy and, I will let it to your imagination what on hell he managed to lip read.

Leviathan

As mentioned above, he didn't need the tutoring. Why? Guess what, he already knew at least a few sign lenguages, all because of the many animes, games and shows he has watched portray it, even though the ammount of representation is small.(btw I recomend DARK, there is a deaf&mute character and oh boi she's awesome, it's on netflix)

So he definetelly had no problem communicating with you, in fact, he was almost relieved.

He doesn't need to speak verbally?? He basically would rather spoon his eyes out than talk on the phone so on drug levels texting instead is like heroin????

And oh lord you NEED to invite him to the music festivals on the human world catered towards deaf and hard of hearing people, be will LOVE it.

A little bit of downside though, some of his expression changes are very subtle, but as he spends more time with you, he will start incorporating character voices into expressions and body lenguage instead, and you bet he enjoys doing it.

He will definetelly make music just for you. You only hear high frequencies? Or maybe only low frequencies? Or just nothing at all but you enjoy the rythmic vibrations? He definetelly has spend an entire night making a full fucking album just for you.

Satan

Seriously, he knows so many sign lenguages it actually made his way of signing pretty unique!

Another fake ass who will give you gentlemany smiles at first. He may be a way lot more smoother than Lucifer but you bet his fake ass is not passing your vibe check, not with the way his eyes just feel a little bit not right.

Another one who gets better though.

It's kind of nice how he grows so used to signing while speaking that his hands often give off a sign or two even when he is speaking to hearing people.

He will definetelly roast quite a few half assed interpreters.

Also he may or may not have gotten a new obssession after you two watched a few silent movies together??

Asmodeus

Oh boy this one needs to chill out a bit.

If you can't interpret signs when done too fast then good luck because his hands will literally be able to spell a full fucking paragraph in 20 seconds.

And oh how he explores your other senses.

Definetelly goes to you first to judge how he looks.

Also he is the best option to keep yourself informed?? I mean, it's also something he can relate with, it doesn't matter if someone killed somebody or just broke their nail, he needs to know about it.

He may be a bit disappointed if you don't speak but he gets over it quickly.

Will ruin many people's carreer if they so much as refuse to attent to you just because you're deaf. There's just nothing wrong with it??? Stop being so petty!

He is now your biggest distraction in mid class and you will definetelly end each day carrying at least 10 paper notes in which he will try to speak with you. They definetelly smell like whatever he smells like at the time. And are definetelly written in colored pen. With glitter. And there are hearts. And possibly a kiss mark-

Beelzebub

Big boy definetelly has two types of sign lenguage he uses, and if literally depends if he is eating and what he is eating.

Normally he is just, normal lol. Since he is pretty much quite a bit of an amateur at it he will make use of speech filters a lot when he needs to remember certain signs.

If he's holding something big like a sandwich he will either just gulf it all in to have both hands free or try to make a simplified version with one hand. I'll admit the first scenario is quite amusing.

Yes some of the first questions he asks is how to spells certain foods.

And yes you bet you won't be able to know all of them because Devildom food is definetelly something.

Oh and get ready for a bit of chaos if anyone refuses your order because you're deaf.

Please tell him to flap his wings and proceed lay on him or hug him. The vibrations will be very much close to one of those massage chairs.

Belphegor

Oh boy.

First off, he did NOT know about you being deaf because thanks Lucifer.

You guys definetelly spoke in a lot of exchanged notes under his attic door.

He keeps them all hidden somewhere but he will never admit it.

If you're willing to teach him at least how to say 'hi', 'good night' or things like that, he will appear to not be very interested but once the entire lesson 16 fiasco happens they're definetelly the only signs he knows about for some reason when he finally gets tutored.

Pregnant Mc who hates to take naps but has/ does because she‘s way too sleepy

need to tell you guys anymore that I love it, right? Good.

Jumin

,,My love...“ Jumin whispered, stroking your arm softly.

Both of you were on the couch. He could see that your eyes were almost closing, but whenever you almost fell asleep, you would force yourself to open them again.

You puffed and looked away, being moody once again when you noticed what Jumin was trying to make you do.

Jumin sighed sadly but kept smiling.

You were pregnant and in the 30th week.

You had a pretty easy pregnancy and weren’t moody that much, but the both of you always argued when he asked you to take a nap.

He read that sleeping was very important for pregnant women and so he begged you every day to sleep since you hated to sleep on your own.

,,You’re working so much. Why should I spend the time I have with you sleeping?’’ you asked him.

,,I’m here by your side and we can still enjoy our time together,’’ he answered back.

You were still opposed to this idea, but like always, as soon as your husband would make you lean your head on his shoulder you would fall asleep immediately.

And even though you hated taking naps, you quickly fell asleep.

You needed sleep after all....

Zen

At first you were taking naps regularly and did them of your own free will.

But at some point, you just didn’t want to anymore.

Maybe it was because you got used to staying at home alone and wanted to enjoy the time you had with Zen whenever he was home.

It was difficult for him to make you take a good rest even though you felt sleepy.

At night you didn’t sleep, in the mornings you woke up early to prepare his things, even though he didn’t want you to, and in the evenings you waited for him until late at night.

The only time you had to rest was in the afternoon, but that time was mostly your couple time or your cleaning time.

Finally it happened that you could get pregnant.

It was a long way and Jaehee was anxious about everything.

Naps were a nightmare for you.

And whenever he did, something would break or get even dirtier.

And whenever he didn’t do anything, he would end up waking you up by accident with anything else.

So, since it meant more stress for you, why was there a need for you to sleep?

And so, after you indeed closed your eyes and fell asleep, you woke up totally rested with your boyfriend next to you and his hand on your swollen belly.

You were still kind of pissed, but decided to lay down, stroking your daughters hair who was also almost asleep.

And it didn’t take long until you closed your eyes and fell asleep.

This gave your husband the perfect chance to take pictures of you….

Whenever you slept, Vanderwood used the time to clean the house.

But since a few days ago, you hated going to take naps.

Vanderwood didn’t understand why.

I've been thinking about different types of love languages, and I can't help but imagine the twst cast with people who have different types of love languages/ways of showing that they really care about someone.

Like, my love language is food, and I like to give food to people who I care about, like close friends. On top of that, the first character I really got attached to (like, during the countdown art and everything) was Ruggie, and at times I wonder how happy he'd be with a friend or partner who shows affection in that way.

Malleus would probably adore someone who shows their love for him through spending time with him (like, I've seen someone online talking about how their coworker ran to meet them on time at a cafe because they didn't want to make them wait/spend less time with them if they had walked)

Idk, I just feel like it's sweet how there are different ways that people show affection. The twst cast also probably have their own live languages too (you cannot convince me that Trey doesn't give food to people he cares about as a casual gesture)

I'm not sure if this is too coherent but I just figured it's be nice to share

I know of five love languages: Acts of service, Quality time, Words of affirmation, Physical touch, and Gifts Cooking and food could be under the acts of service and gift categories, respectively

It's very interesting to know your love languages and which you like to receive!

Ace - Physical touch (giving), acts of service & gifts (receiving) Ace gives the vibe of being touchy-feely... and also a bit lazy, thus the acts of service aspect. We see in the Prologue/Chapter 1 that he bargains with MC to have his lunch paid by them in return of helping them catch Grim, thus my reason to say he may also like receiving gifts

Deuce - Acts of service (giving), words of affirmation (receiving) Spade is a good boy that helps his mama ❤ I'm sure he will offer to run your errands, like how he's done with Trey! TELL HIM HE'S DOING GREAT!!! QUELL HIS DOUBTS OF BEING A GOOD STUDENT!!!

Trey - Gifts (giving), quality time (receiving) Food gifts, pastries and cakes, confections of all kinds He likes it when you help him bake! And sometimes needs someone to lend an ear to listen to him and his troubles

Cater - quality time (giving), ALL words of affirmation + gifts + quality time (receiving) ANYTHING that makes for a permanent memory tbh. Let's remember he used to move around a lot due to his dad's job, he ACHES for meaningful relationships and memories to keep We can all feel it in our souls that this boy needs a hug... oh, Cater... you need to be shown all love languages ; - ;

Savanaclaw

Leona - gifts (giving), quality time & acts of service (receiving) iirc he passed down clothes and books to Ruggie, and also allowed him to buy the clothes for Vargas Camp with not much fuzz (prince is always fuzzy tho, what we saw was normal Leona) His quality time is nap time together and sharing a game of chess

Ruggie - acts of service (giving), gifts & acts of service (receiving) I'm sure this boy would like it if you help him with chores, so those acts of service can also count as quality time together Gifts of food are definitely one of his favorites!

Jack - quality time (giving & receiving) Honestly, jack is hard for me to picture in this aspects

Octavinelle

Azul - gifts (giving), words of affirmation (receiving) We saw him be surprised at MC's comments remarking his intelligence back at the end of Chapter 3, octoboy NEEDS compliments

Floyd - physical touch (giving and receiving) The tween seems to me like someone that enjoys all sorts of physical touch. Still debating if he would like the occasional gift of eel/sea life merch and high-end clothing brands

Jade - acts of service (giving), acts of service and quality time (receiving) Jade appears as the butler type, and being vice dorm leader, Azul's employee of sorts, and one of the Lounge's reliable hosts, he would first and foremost offer acts of service to show he cares. Again, being all that he is, he needs time to relax. Offer back help with his chores and he'll be quite happy. Along with his twin, Jade would like the random gift of snacks, and some quality time to build terrariums together

Scarabia

Kalim - gifts & physical touch (giving), physical touch (receiving) I do think Kalim much more prefers showing his appreciation with hugs, pats on back, shaking you by the shoulders, than throwing gifts at you... but he still likes to give some nice accessories and tapestries if they remind him of you Otter loooves it when his hugs and touches are reciprocated and returned!!

Jamil - quality time (giving), words of affirmation & quality time (receiving) I was tempted to put he would resort to acts of service, like Jade does, but that doesn't sound like Jamil post-overblot to me. I think he would rather spend time together and getting to know each other, or chilling in comfortable silence! Viper would like to be acknowledged for who he is, for his abilities and resourceful intellect. Please give him nice comments about himself and the talents he hones! Lend him your time and attentive hearing when hanging out together, too!

Pomefiore

Vil - quality time (giving and receiving) I was tempted to add gifts for his receiving side, but I believe Vil prefers spending time together as much as his influencer and dorm leader schedule allows

Epel - gifts (giving), quality time (receiving) I'm sure Epel would take a liking to gifting his carved apples to show his appreciation Time spent together with him will be full of rough play and hysterical laughter. Let him be his rowdy self and he's more than happy!

Rook - words of affirmation (giving), all goes when receiving love The hunter of love will appreciate all sort of ways people demonstrate their appreciation to him. We do know he prefers to express his admiration through words, be them spoken or written

Ignihyde

Idia - gifts (giving and receiving) Reserved and introverted, I feel like Idia would much rather buy and send you something via online shops. Being an otaku, he would really deep down like it if you bought him some merch or new manga/games. It could be argued that, once you become closer, Shroud likes to spend time together with you

Diasomnia

Malleus - quality time & gifts (giving), quality time & words of affirmation (receiving) He's a prince, I'm sure he would give you random gifts of jewels and gems, or anything you said you really needed. With the words of affirmation part.... I'm sure he needs to hear the he is wanted around people (ties up with how Maleficent was told she wasn't wanted on Aurora's birth, and since he shares the "uninvited" quality with her, thought it fit)

Lilia - acts of service & words of affirmation (giving), gifts & quality time (receiving) Ngl Lilia was hard for me to decipher. Much to the two following characters, his duty to serve Malleus makes him keen on offering help. Having raised two wonderful boys, Lilia knows his way around complimenting and giving nice comments to people to make them cheer up and feel confident. It's said that Vanrouge used to travel and would bring with him souvenirs, so I think he likes little trinkets to decorate his room with. This fae has many stories to share! Sit down and have a nice chat with him, he surely will adore it!

Silver - acts of service (giving), quality time (receiving) Being Malleus' ward, I get the feeling Silver will no doubt offer his help with anything you do. This boy appreciates when people spend time with him whenever he's awake and available, but won't decline if they wish to share a nap together.

Sebek - acts of service (giving), words of affirmation (receiving) Similar to Silver, his duty is to serve his Young Master. Sebek will offer to aid you on your chores and goals. HE LIKES TO BE PRAISED!! He even says so as one of his alchemy class lines! Pamper the croc boy with nice words~

And, finally...

Grim - words of affirmation & gifts (receiving) I'll be honest and say I don't know what Grim's giving love language is... I'm leaning towards acts of service bc he somehow agrees to put up with his chores and scolding/punishment at times But it's clear he likes gifts of food (he's the Great Grim! Deserves to be venerated!) and praise

Can you do a headcannon with the undateables now dateables please?? 😁 with an mc that wears a ton of make up and one day she doesn't cuz she forgot and they are like astounded by mcs looks and compliment them and tell them they don't need to wear so much cuz they are beautiful! Thank you!!!

I'm sure you didn't mean it for it to be like this, but this ask has a "I got stuff that's internalised" vibes and so I'm going to make this a teaching moment.

To Everyone who follows, wearing makeup or not is up to you - how much you wear is your bussiness. Besides, what is considered 'alot' could be a natural look depending on how many products you use.

I personally don't use foundation or concealer, my face is spotless and smooth and I incorporate my eyebags into my eye looks. But there's still the amount of eyeshadow I use as contour, actual eyeshadow, eyeliner guide and even to add more vibrance or odd colours to my lips. I also use eyeliner. Which doesn't seem like alot but its full face look.

Your makeup is your business and you shouldn't shame those who do wear it or those who don't nor should you rely on a man or woman to tell you when you look good. Your always look good, period. The trope of girls who stops wearing loads of makeup turns out to be naturally pretty just links to a mindset that people who do wear makeup only wear it because their ugly or trying to hide their true appearance.

Which is stupid because unless you're going out your way to do face morph looks, makeup is used to enhance features you already have. It just helps to bring attention to how pretty your features are.

"they don't need to wear so much because they're beautiful!" You don't stop being beautiful when you put makeup on. Again how much you wear and what you do with your appearance is your bussiness.

But I think that's enough of me going on, let's actually get into this.

Diavolo:

You were embarassed by how easily tricked you were by your tired mind but you couldn't really blame yourself

You haven't been sleeping much so after finally getting the best sleep in your life you were bound to get groggy

He smiled, tilting his head to the side

His eyes looked as if he was scolding you

"thats abit alarming, get your needed sleep though the change isn't uninvited, you're very pretty."

You could tell he meant no harm by his words

But you've dealt with situations similar to this where the person was being very passive aggressive

It made you feel bitter and have a need to explain yourself

"I'll be sure to sleep, thanks but this isn't going to be a permanent thing, I'm very much happy with my usual look! Makes me feel more pretty~ I don't think there's such a thing as being too pretty."

You both chuckled at your end statement

"Fair, I do not control what you do but I advise you stop spending so much with asmodeus, you're starting to sound like him - I have actually done makeup myself, perhaps you'd like to see some examples? I'm intrigued if you have any feedback or tips I could use."

"asmo is just truthful! But on a serious note, I'd actually love to see that and feel honoured you'd want my feedback! You better not back out on this."

Solomon:

"I almost didn't recognize you, what a stray from your usual look, it's very off brand - I'm afraid viewers might be displeased."

You couldn't help but smile

He was using an inside joke you two made

After refering to one of the years as a season you two started making a few jokes about it

But it became a habit and now you two just had a thing were you pretended you were self aware TV characters

You poked the side of his face, near his eye

You bursted out laughing

"My face is bare, I forgot to put it on, not really bothered today."

His slender finger was pointed to your face, squinting to see if he could see

You almost wanted to laugh but you just lazily shrugged your shoulders

"oh! You're still look just as beautiful, I can't believe I couldn't tell, ever since I saw your more extra looks I've been looking into makeup and I saw people could make it look like they weren't wearing any."

"Thanks but don't worry, I'm not Insecure without it or anything, just really enjoy it! - oh? You're looking into it? Is there any looks you like specially, some people are really amazing at looking extremely natural or being really artistic - it's amazing."

He nodded

"pardon me then, I didn't mean to imply anything I just saw how much bad press was around it all and wanted to say incase but yes, I'm extremely intrigued by high light! It's so sparkly!"

He looked apologetic before his expression turned into one of awe and inspiration

You smiled, happy to see he was interested in something you were already passionate about

It was good to see him wanting to learn and gain interest

His eyes were sparkling so brightly

Ok ok, i just came from tiktok and have an enlightment. I saw lots of what will they do if they are the parents of our tokrev bois. That's when the light of this idea came. May i present....

A fem!reader who defend herself using belt because clearly she doesn't have enough muscle to punch someone till they get knock out.

If i need to give a title for it, it would be : "With the Power of My Belt"

Long vers, my idea of a fic : fem!Reader is some kind of reincarnated person from our world and become Baji's younger sister also Mikey's crush. She is a good student with excellent grades and not in a gang (in other words, a very normal person, although very oblivious towards romance. Also a calm and collected person, unlike her brother. She can still have that Baji moment where she is very scary/savage in fights with her belt, never got into a fight before Bloody Haloween . I'll say its the belt and the power of the predecessor of hundred of years behind them. And for the grade because she is teenager who solves elementary problem.)

So because she is more mature because of her previous life memory, she try to push her brother and the gang toward a good future (by nagging and helping them with school and lending an ear and give advice of what to do with life. Giving them that domestic stability vibe.). Fem!reader have a prophetic dream ability, the one where she dream about the death of her loved ones. She got very guilty about not believing her dream where Shinichiro died, so she try to make it up by saving Draken and her brother (can be an accomplice with Takemichi to save the future).

In Bloody Haloween, she, who never got into a gang fight, arrive at the fight to prevent her brother's death, without said brother knowledge or any of the gang. She came with preparation, a phone, a dictionary, an aid-kit with a guide book of how to help when someone got stabbed, and a belt in her bag. With a belt on her hand, she fight her way through the crowd (slapping people faces and butt right and left. You call it violence, i call it displince. Lol. Make it very funny.) toward Baji and got stabbed instead of him. When she got stabbed, she fished out her phone and call for an ambulance for herself. Still with adrenaline (i think adrenaline can save one life or prolong it) running in her body, she start nagging at all of them, Baji, Kazutora, Mikey, that guy who doesn't have any relation with this, Chifuyu about how idiotic this is and somebody could have died (she is still bleeding out herself and not refering to herself).

She yells at Mitsuya or Chifuyu to help with her stabbed wounds, she got the guidebook ready. She also reprimand Kazutora to work through his trauma without involving harm to oneself and others (she make sure to say that she forgive him for stabbing her, aggresively). (Additional note : Fem!Reader doesn't know about Tokyo Revengers, but the Tokrev bois surely surprised our dear fem!Reader with their super human ability. I mean look at Draken and Takemichi, they are ok after getting stab in the stomach and hand. And they also pull out the said knife, which make me want to scream at them because that is not how you handle stab wounds. Euphoria Kids - Alison Evans: in short, trans kids are magic. Beautiful story of three trans teens becoming friends and encountering magic in the Australian bush. Mild TRC vibes, in the way that occult is used and the magic of nature is everywhere.

Highway Bodies - Alison Evans: zombie apocalypse, and make it queer. Told through different points of view that eventually converge, queer teens struggle for survival through a zombie outbreak and come to see that maybe not all the monsters are infected. A bit gory and also hopeful!

Ida - Alison Evans: Ida can travel between parallel universes; she can reset her mistakes, and try again. Her frivolous use of this power draws the attention of universally powerful regulators, who try to track her down to stop her. A quiet, thoughtful book.

Amelia Westlake - Erin Gough: perfect student Harriet Price teams up with bad girl Will Everheart to expose the problems with their exclusive private school using the moniker Amelia Westlake. Kind of Moxie, kind of Gossip Girl, super great enemies-to-lovers.

The Flywheel - Erin Gough: plagued by embarrassment after a love confession gone wrong, Del drops out of school and dedicates herself to running her dad’s cafe while he’s travelling. Hijinks and deep realisations ensue. So many great characters in this one!

Peta Lyre’s Rating Normal - Anna Whateley: Peta is an amazing neurodivergent MC written by an #ActuallyAutistic author. Peta must reckon with her own rules for appearing “normal” when she starts to fall for the new girl while on a school ski trip.

Pink - Lili Wilkinson: a young lesbian tries to reinvent herself as straight when she transfers to a new school. Sounds iffy, but is actually an amazing exploration of questioning your sexuality and the “okayness” of being uncertain.

Before the Beginning - Anna Morgan: a group of friends on a schoolies trip meet an alluring and mysterious girl who convinces them to spend their schoolies camping on a remote island. Great if you enjoyed We Were Liars!

I Am Out with Lanterns - Emily Gale: more of a character study than anything. Follows the converging experiences of a group of teens brought together by art and images. The voices here are so authentic and strong, and it’s just a beautiful reading experience.

Queens of Geek - Jen Wilde: three friends find love at a massive fan convention. Pretty cute with its “be yourself, loud and proud!” message. Very much about fandom and finding like-minded people who share that obsession.

Invisible Boys - Holden Sheppard: a group of closeted gay boys in a conservative country town are brought together by their shared secret and battles with their own internalised homophobia. Absolutely devastating, completely harrowing. Huge content warnings for suicide and sexual assault.

The Boy from the Mish - Gary Lonesborough: summer on the Mish, and Jackson’s Aunty comes to visit with a mysterious boy in tow. Jackson and Tomas have a beautiful love story in this book full of culture and identity.

How it Feels to Float - Helena Fox: a girl is guided by visions of her father who died when she was six, making her grief difficult to deal with. A deep exploration of loss, mental health, and sexuality.

My Lovely Frankie - Judith Clarke: unrequited love in the 1950s between two boys studying at a seminary. About love, loss, grief, and faith. Quite tragic, very impactful.

Songs that Sound Like Blood - Jared Thomas: a girl moves to the “big city” to study music, and develops a crush on an alluring and exciting music journo, sending her on a difficult path to figuring out who she is and what she wants.

Monuments - Will Kostakis: first in a duology (2nd is Rebel Gods). A group of teens discover the Monuments, buried gods who wield incredible power and need to be protected lest that power fall into someone else’s hands. Quite funny and fun! Good for fans of Percy Jackson.

The Sidekicks - Will Kostakis: after the death of their friend, three teens must learn to live without him and figure out what they are to each other. Another about grief, but also friendship and moving forward.

The First Third - Will Kostakis: a teen shoulders the responsibility of fixing all the problems in his huge Greek family, while helping his yiayia achieve her bucket list.

Night Swimming - Steph Bowe: two friends fall for the same girl! Iris is kind of a manic pixie dream girl, but it’s fine because this is actually about friendship, being queer in a small town, having dreams for the future while dealing the family responsibilities, and falling in love for the first time.
