My first draft Bruce Wayne/Batman design. Not too happy with it yet, but progress is progress 😊 Love the props though, those came out beautiful!

Dick Grayson character reference sheet! A cute little ten-year-old who has attempted to murder at least one(1) real human being.
On the left was Dick's first draft/homemade Robin costume, while the right one is a result of compromise between Dick and Bruce. (Bruce's first draft Robin costume involved more kevlar and bubble-wrap than Dick was willing to allow.)
Bruce let Robin have his fancy colours in return for a non-negotiable gas mask, kevlar lining, and helmet.

More character designs - this time, every kid sidekick to work with or for Batman ever, because I got massively carried away. In order:
Dick Grayson, 28 (Robin I / Nightwing)
Barbara Gordon, 30 (Batgirl I / Oracle)
Jason Todd, 22 (physically 20) (Robin II / Red Hood)
Tim Drake, 17 (Robin III / Red Robin)
Stephanie Brown, 17 (Robin IV / Batgirl III)
Cassandra Cain, 19 (Batgirl II / Black Bat)
Damian Wayne, 10 (Robin V)
Duke Thomas, 15 (Signal)
Carrie Kelly, 13 (Robin ??? Look I love her too much to leave her off a list like this but I'll be the first to admit I've got no clue where she would actually fall)
Harper Row, 18 (Blue Bird)
Cullen Row, 12
Terry McGuiness, 3? (a baby, I guess? In this timeline at least?)
Jarro the Starro in a Jar, 0 (Best Robin by far)
Tiffany Fox, 14 (Batgirl IV?)
Bette Kane, 25 (Batgirl / Flamebird / Snuck in without being noticed)
I don't know if I'll ever add to this in terms of a story, but it was a lot of fun to come up with different faces for everyone, trying to account for things like age, face shape, life experiences, in one case species (still can't believe we were blessed with starfish-robin from space, 10/10 no notes)
Some poor Justice Leaguer: "So, how many kids ya got?"
Batman: *screaming*

I've been watching the OG Batman Animated Series and playing around with character designs. That show absolutely rocked, and I loved every episode I've watched thus far. Especially because a lot of these episodes are competing to give Bruce as many boyfriends as possible in the shortest amount of time...

Reblogging in honor of the show dropping ❤️

Hey guys! I finally got a hold of the Trials of Apollo: The Burning Maze! And Rick Riordan has officially abandoned all pretense of this being children's’ books:) Anyway, I got in the mood to do a study in metal, and the nostalgia hit kinda hard, so here are the swords from PJO and HoO
These are not the same as on the wiki; I kinda added some creative license to the mix. Percy and Luke both have a Greek Xiphos Sword. Jason has a Gladius, Nico a Spartan War Sword, and the two daggers aren’t based on anything specific. The drakon-bone swords is basically just sharp bone wrapped in drakon intestines and stuck together with monster saliva??? So I can’t say finding a good ref was easy:/
Anyway, enjoy!
Edit: a lot of you guys have told me about Katoptris being a triangular bronze blade, and while that’s canon and cool, I imagine a cursed shard of glass from a mirror. I found out that katoptris means mirror in ancient Greek, so I thought that would be good. Thanks guys!

A new tool lets artists add invisible changes to the pixels in their art before they upload it online so that if it’s scraped into an AI training set, it can cause the resulting model to break in chaotic and unpredictable ways.
The tool, called Nightshade, is intended as a way to fight back against AI companies that use artists’ work to train their models without the creator’s permission. Using it to “poison” this training data could damage future iterations of image-generating AI models, such as DALL-E, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion, by rendering some of their outputs useless—dogs become cats, cars become cows, and so forth. MIT Technology Review got an exclusive preview of the research, which has been submitted for peer review at computer security conference Usenix.
AI companies such as OpenAI, Meta, Google, and Stability AI are facing a slew of lawsuits from artists who claim that their copyrighted material and personal information was scraped without consent or compensation. Ben Zhao, a professor at the University of Chicago, who led the team that created Nightshade, says the hope is that it will help tip the power balance back from AI companies towards artists, by creating a powerful deterrent against disrespecting artists’ copyright and intellectual property. Meta, Google, Stability AI, and OpenAI did not respond to MIT Technology Review’s request for comment on how they might respond.
Zhao’s team also developed Glaze, a tool that allows artists to “mask” their own personal style to prevent it from being scraped by AI companies. It works in a similar way to Nightshade: by changing the pixels of images in subtle ways that are invisible to the human eye but manipulate machine-learning models to interpret the image as something different from what it actually shows.

A Quick Piece I did a bit ago to figure out how to draw these to old folks. Unexpectedly competent elderly folk are a trope I love wholeheartedly 🥰

24 Character Designs before I turn 24
24/24
I'm glad to be done with these, honestly. Drawing a bunch of faces from the same angle can get boring after a while. Here we have the last two Class 1-A students, Eri, and the Big Three. I enjoyed Eri, Nejire, and Tamaki the most - I had to redraw both Aoyama and Ojiro.

24 Character Designs before I turn 24
18/24
Took break from the boys. These are some of my absolute best designs, I think. I took quite a lot of liberty with all of these, but I really went ham here. Asui and Hatsume are the most changed, definetely, but they all had a little tweaking.
Also, Hagakure has been excluded from this, mostly because the anime hasn't actually shown her real face yet. Also, I won't really need her face or colour palette on hand, considering that she's invisible most of the time.

24 Character Designs before I turn 24

These were some of the most difficult but rewarding faces to draw. I redrew Kirishima and Sero twice and Kaminari three times. It was a disaster.

These were some of my favourites of the batch. Drawing Kouda, Shouji, and Tokoyami were especially fun, because of how much they var from a standard human appearance.

Stylisation practice, featuring Midoriya Izuku - Deku - from My Hero Academia. Things learned from this practice: Proportions are difficult and shoes were invented by the devil to torture artists.

Some Studies of the human body I've been busy with lately. I feel like my work could be more anatomically correct. I've never actually, totally done a breakdown of a person.
Hope you enjoy it!
