Only today, WE have to do the healing, and Dad's off the hook.
This might not seem fair, but it's the only way.
I mean, how many times have you tried to talk to Dad?
Right.
So, take your own next step. Doesn't have to be a hard left.

exactly- forget the crap about how that stuff makes you strong- it makes you adapt and it teaches you how to survive, cause that's what life does. It wants you to stay alive. So NOW we need to discern what is helpful moving forward because we want to thrive and not just survive. It takes reflection and I DESIRE TO CHANGE.
My childhood trauma didn't make me stronger. it made me a people pleaser. it made me forgive way too much. it made me not speak when i'm supposed to. it made me an extreme empath.
