Shit getting scary? Plead the blood! Stage 4 cancer? Plead the blood! Need money because you lost your job? Plead the blood! Need America to fight them baddies all over cause we are GAWDS people? Plead the blood... . We’re in the middle of Christian Holy Week, where many folks prepare to remember the life death and resurrection of Jesus. And I need to point something out as we head into a dark memorial during a dark time: . Jesus is own blood was spilt over his entire body, and it did not stop one ounce of his suffering. How dare you blaspheme his sacrifice as some kind of slight of hand, bullshit, magicians side show trick that you use to excuse your wicked behavior, placing thousand of people at risk through gathering together when we still STILL have not seen the worst of it. . Use your goddam common sense that God gave you, family of God. If your church is gathering or your family is going to church or if you’re still for some reason gathering, I want you to go on Twitter and search the hashtags of people posting how their loved ones have DIED suddenly. . You’re not immune because you love Jesus. Favoritism is forbidden in the kingdom, or did you not read your Bible? You can die from this. And you know people who will die from this. And at the end of it, you pleading the blood won’t save you or those you love. The only way we stop this is if we stop doing the things that will lead us all into more danger. . The church isn’t a building anyways. So why are you so attached to this one hour on Sunday? Get creative! Call a friend! Work on your practice at home! Share a meal with family. Break the bread and the pour the wine in your home, as Jesus did. . Stop doing what is evil. Learn to do what is good. Your theology is gonna get us all killed.
