I used to struggle with insecurity ALOT and even do now but not as much. With prayer, therapy and great relationships I have cultivated, it helped me tremendously. Still, I have episodes that sometimes make me feel like I haven’t put enough effort into self love and self confidence. If you’ve come a long way and you see progress, don’t be afraid when something pops up that may trigger you down the spiral of feeling like you’re not good enough or there’s someone better. It’s all a process and it takes time especially after dealing with years and years of constant abuse and emotional trauma. Unlearning things take time and that’s why it’s important to be around those who TRULY love you and understand you and respect you enough to know that you’re not perfect- but baby steps are worth it!
