Today's @wolfstarmicrofic prompt is flirt!

Sirius bursts into the dorm, uniform absolutely soaked, and his chest heaving from the run. His and James' prank didn't exactly go to plan.

Remus glances up at his arrival, eyes widening.

"Do I want to know?" He asks, and Sirius just shakes his head once.

"Probably not."

"...right. Then you should probably change out of your robes, you're going to catch cold," Remus opts for instead.

"Please, you just want me to take my robes off," Sirius quips, winking at Remus with a wry smile. He expects that to be the end of it, like it usually is, turning to the bathroom. He's covered head to toe in fucking lake water, he's convinced his hair looks awful.

"So what if I do?" Remus shoots back seamlessly.

Sirius freezes, and he's really bloody glad that his back's turned, because his face is currently burning. He's absolutely floored, his stomach flipping and diving as his heart speeds up considerably. Honestly, he'll be surprised if Remus can't hear it. It's absolutely justified, though.

remus smoothed his shirt, anxiously waiting in front of his apartment building. he had picked out his best clothes and tried to flatten his blonde, unruly curls, in an attempt to not look like a lovestruck dork, which he absolutely was.

when he heard the rumble of the engine of sirius’ motorcycle (he knew that sound all too well at that point), he took a deep, deep breath in.

he could do it.

“hey.” sirius grinned, taking off his helmet and pressing a kiss to remus’ lips. “i brought you flowers,” he said, with what remus believed to be a slight, boyish timidity.

orchids. remus’ favourite.

despite still holding a part of his usual, attractive disvelished image, sirius had obviously put in a bit of effort in order to look somewhat decent. his hair wasn’t as messy as it usually was, and he had probably picked out his best, most decent clothes, too, which remus greatly appreciated.

“thank you,” remus smiled. “they’re my favourites.”

“i know. i remembered,” sirius added, sheepishly, running a hand through his hair, which remus already knew was a nervous reaction of his. “mine are roses. especially white and red.”

“i’ll make sure to remember, then,” remus said jovially, as sirius held out a hand for him and sat behind sirius.

“hold onto me,” sirius passed him the helmet, and putting his on. “because i want to make this as quick as possible, so i can spend as much time with you as possible.” (oh my god? butterflies erupted in remus’ stomach again.) “you know how to clasp it on?”

remus nodded, putting it on with shaky hands, and wrapping his arms around sirius’ waist shyly. sirius rubbed his hands on sirius’ thigh.

“are you ready?”

“i don’t think i’ll able be ready for this kind of thing,” remus laughed nervously, which earned him a beautiful chuckle from sirius, which made his heart rate quicken.

he was in love with him. irrevocably, undeniably, absolutely.

headcanon that there has Never been a bad picture of james potter. it makes both black brothers go absolutely batshit because they have been going through preparations and posing for family pictures their entire life and that’s a habit neither of them really ever breaks; sirius still swears the camera always has his bad side when he isn’t paying attention to it. it is now their mission to take an ugly picture of james potter.
