They don’t want us medicated (“do you want to be dependent on that for the rest of your life?”), they don’t want us unmedicated (“please stop doing xyz, why can’t you do abc?”), they just want us to stop being neurodivergent.

do you ever have that moment tm when you look at yourself and your life and you realize the mental illness is That Bad again

#it's been 4 days of trying to work on one project and just Not Doing It #like literally can't start #my chest hurts again and I'm starting to get paranoid about my health and hate my body and it all sucks #I also don't wanna get out of bed ever for anything ayyy #back to sleeping into the afternoon cause what's the point #only wake up to give grandma her meds and food cause she can't walk #which is also depressing #but like I'm functional just barely for other people #just haven't been doing shit for myself #like going out today Sucked #everything hurt #I felt bad and sad and #nothing at all like it usually feels to like walk around #I stopped taking care of myself my back pain is coming back cause I stopped attending physical therapy #also can't bring myself to schedule doctors #eveyrthing is a mess #I missed therapy but I HAVE TO force myself to go this week no matter how hard it is #stopped everything it all sucks everything feels chaotic and too much #I wish I'd just have a crying fit and get better #personal #I'm almost 30 and I'm a fucking loser #no job no life no happiness nothing for myself #I'm so unhappy #ignore this I'll be fine

#happy world bipolar day to all my bp babies #(more thoughts at the end of the tags)#shameless #shamelessnet #shamelessedit #ian gallagher #cameron monaghan #*macygifs #bipolar disorder #hello pals how are we doin #i made this gif set in july of 2023 and never posted it because 1) i was terrified to share it and potentially see Bad Takes in the tags #and 2) because my hyperfixation was waning. and while both of those things are still mostly true (the fixation comes and goes)#i feel like it's really important to share as ian's bipolar storyline was not only so vital to his character it was a bit of representation #that isn't often given to the disorder and those (like myself) who live with it every single day #world bipolar day is a day where we can both celebrate ourselves and our resilience and also raise awareness of the reality of the disorder #which is both terrifying and beautiful at its core. this disease is not a death sentence or a sentence to an unfulfilled and miserable life #while there are challenges galore when it comes to balancing life with this disorder it IS possible to live a full and productive life #and i think it's really important to have representation of that in media - and while shameless dropped the ball on a LOT of storylines #over the years THIS is the one they really fucking nailed and i am incredibly grateful #i first started watching shameless while in the midst of a major depressive episode and i was later (finally) diagnosed during an extended #hypo/manic episode - this show and ian's storyline got me through so much and made me feel so seen and validated in my struggles #world bipolar day is also vincent van gogh's birthday (happy birthday buddy) who was posthumously diagnosed with bipolar disorder #and who experienced both depressive and hypo/manic episodes during his lifetime (and was regularly institutionalized)#it takes a lot of help and support to keep us going. it takes the support of our family and friends and *most* of all #it takes patience and kindness and understanding - which is so so so easy to give if you are willing to love and listen #so please. be willing. listen to our stories. be patient with us. show us love without conditions. support us in any way you can.#we are worth it #i promise #anyway. that's really all i wanted to say. happy world bipolar day to those who celebrate (me) and may all of us living with this disorder #go on to live happy fulfilling beautiful magical lives

sometimes i think about how nendo, kaido, saiki, (and sometimes kuboyasu but usually only when associated with them) are canonically the losers of PK and people actively dislike them, talk bad about them, make rumors about them, etc.

i'm gonna start being mean. if you have enough understanding for katniss's depression then how are you calling katniss's mom selfish for her response to her husband's death. you do understand what catatonic depression is right? you understand that she didn't purposely abandon her children?

#i would also argue that she didn't even abandon katniss after prim's death but was actually protecting her #sometimes it seems like some people genuinely feel like she didn't love katniss as much as prim which is so...#she was afraid and she knew that if she were to return to 12 everything would repeat again #and yes as a mother she should take care of her daughter but she's also just a woman #how can two sick people take care of each other like literally how???#and maybe she should've tried harder and not focused on the fear BUT I AM REPEATING DEPRESSION IS NOT SOMETHING YOU JUST CHOOSE TO HAVE #the only thing she's certain of is that the possibility of disappointing and hurting katniss is to high to risk it #and there are things to criticize her for surely but i just don't see any of her mistakes being a result of not caring for katniss #or not loving her #that's not it #I WILL PROTECT THIS WOMAN UNTILL THE END OF TIME #thg #everlark
