My beloved just read the first Farseer trilogy. They got hung up near the end of the third book on the question whether it’s possible to have a Wit bond with bees. Molly claims to have bonded to her hive to scare away the intruders. My beloved found that plausible.

I don’t think that bees have enough for a human to connect with but my beloved thinks they could bond to a whole hive.
