WHEW OKAY

So technically they're ALL Zayne

Since the Foreseer can never die, and Dr. Zayne isn't immortal (that we're aware of as of yet) until he becomes the foreseer, technically they're ALL Dr. Zayne in just, different fragments of his psyche.

If it helps, think of them as different personalities that aren't really aware of each other (other than DB and Dr, who are aware of each other via dreams).

So yeah. They're all the same man, just at very VERY different points in his life after wildly different events. Honestly until we get more info about HOW Dr became Foreseer we don't really know who is 'closer' in memory to whom.

At the current point in lore, it's implied that Dawnbreaker doesn't remember anything od his time in the tower, he just remembers MC. He fought so hard to keep that memory that it could no longer be removed from him by Astra so he was cast aside (or banished, that's not really known either). There is soooo much Dawnbreaker lore we still are in the dark on 🥴

𝐙𝐀𝐘𝐍𝐄 : He gets swept off his feet. His frame has always been far firmer, stronger and bigger than yours so seeing the soft material of his hoodie engulf you has his mind running a mile a minute. He's only half stepped out of his shoes and set down his laptop bag when he spots you, enamored with how it drapes across your body, wrapping you in a blanket of comfort. There's something so domestic about the look that he struggles to pinpoint a coherent thought, struggles to get his stupid heartbeat to stop it's pitterpattering. Within two strides he's behind you, scooping you up and drawing you to his chest, breathing in your familiar scent. And a small voice in the back of his mind wonders that if he were to slip a ring on your finger, would this mean he's get to come home to this every single day?

𝐑𝐀𝐅𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐋 : He tries to act like he doesn't notice. But as someone who is so finicky about what they wear and what's in their closet it doesn't take him long to notice that his favorite shirt — the one who always wears for inspiration for his next painting — is missing. "When I find whoever mixed up my dry cleaning I'm going to-" Rafayel was ready to spit fire at the world when he notices you curled up on the couch in the very shirt he was searching for. The anger simmers down to nothing and he takes quiet strides towards the couch, kneeling down beside your sleeping figure. Sensing that the material might be a little too thin to keep you warm he reaches for a blanket and oh so carefully tucks you in. His lips, fleeting, brush across your skin in a whisper of, "I guess I can make an exception."

𝐗𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐑 : He starts leaving out more clothes on purpose. When he first noticed his hoodies going miss, and oh so conveniently ending up in your washing basket whenever he's over at your place it didn't take him long to put two and two together. It becomes a habit he isn't willing to soon break — 'accidentally' forgetting his sweatshirt or jumper at your place, draping his jacket over your shoulders when he's walking you home and insisting you keep it so you stay warm. He never minds, never complains because it fuels the possessive side of him he had buried deep in his consciousness, knowing that when you wore his clothes everyone would know who you belonged to. That was a feeling he couldn't get enough of.
