this was originally going to be a celebration for my 22nd birthday, but y'all instead decided to follow me and my chaos, and now it's an 800 follower celebration instead. a couple of these i did steal from sav's 1k celebration, but in my defence they were very good ideas and i adore her

SUMMARY: You live with Din on the Razor Crest. You babysit the kid and he gives you shelter and food… It was a good deal. Little did Din or the other Mandalorian’s know what you truly were, and just how dangerous you could be.

WARNINGS: Typical violence, Fem!reader, magical fem!reader, part 1 of an eventual series, a little bit of flirting between you and Din, mature language, ALL TRANSLATIONS ARE AT THE END OF THIS POST, Made up sacred Mandalorian tradition, soft!Din if you squint, pls tell me if I miss anything.

Chapter 1: The First Lilac Witch

Long before the clone wars there was a witch. More commonly known as ‘The lilac witch.’

Through chaos she smiled. Everywhere she went death followed. She was once lost, but soon enough she found herself… that resulted into one of the biggest wars the Mandalorian’s ever fought. The lilac witch was able to kill over 700 Mandalorian’s in her time and probably more if she wasn’t stopped… but eventually she died off, her powers all but consuming her form, tearing her from the inside out. Why did the Mandalorian’s fight against her? Well that’s a simple question…she was too powerful for the galaxy. With a snap of her fingers she could end the world, the Mandalorian’s were the only ones at the time, fierce enough to stop her. And now… the new covert of Mandalorian’s praised their ancestors for their bravery everyday on the 3rd of June, the day the Mandalorian’s predicted she died.

“So remind me… where are we going again?” you question as you walk through the dusty roads of Nevarro. “To my covert… We have a celebration today… it’s sacred that all Mandalorian’s attend it.” Din almost instantly replies. You nod your head in understanding. It sounded like fun… you never got to celebrate much, you were too young when your family gave you away, therefore you didn’t know any of your own traditions. “What are you celebrating” you ask again, curiosity getting the best of you. It takes Din a moment to reply. A thick silence coaxing the both of you. “The death of someone who killed a lot of Mandalorian’s back before I was born… we go to the covert on this date to honour all the Mandalorian’s that died trying to protect us from that person.” He finally admits. That does sound very sacred. “Oh.” The two of you walk a little further until the covert is in sight. The covert was small but it harboured a community of respectful Mandalorian’s… or so you thought anyway. The building was tall and dented, dust coaxing the exterior… you were sure inside would look better. “Should… I.. wait out here?” you ask, not wanting to intrude on such a sacred tradition. “You’ll have to come in… you have the kid and people are searching all over the place for him on this skughole planet.” he replies swiping his identity card over a small tempad. You nod in agreement, resting your eyes on the sleeping child, you held in your sore arms.

Much to your surprise the interior of the covert was quite dark. The dim lights did little to brighten up the blackness that engulfed you. About fourteen Mandalorian’s sat around a lit candle. The flame danced in the air, gentle orange sparks jumping around the base flame. It was saddening to see that only fourteen Mandalorian’s could come to experience something so special. Before you have the chance to ask what the hell you were supposed to do, the armourer begins to chant something in Mando’a (you presume.) “let mhi reflect upon cuun ancestors, val bravery, bal val dedication at creating a brighter vencuyot. Bic cuyir jorcu be them, ibac vi motir olar o'r agol ibi'tuur. Jii let mhi sirbur cuun own preyers o'r te kih amount be ca'nara vi ganar olar ibi'tuur'' after her seemingly loud chant the whole covert fell silent. A minute of silence? The helmets of every single Mandalorian (including Din) were tucked into the place their capes met, at their neck.

After a minute or two, everyone stood up and shook hands, wishing good luck upon one another… good luck for what? “Now I must inform you of some bad news.” The armourer exhales. “There are… rumours.” she starts. “That the lilac witch has returned.. We Mandalorian’s do not know how… but we assume the spirit of the original lilac witch… found another body to possess.. But of course keep in mind that these are still rumours… none are proven true at the moment.. This is just a drill.” she exclaims rather dramatically. The lilac witch? Spirits possessing another's body? You almost felt nauseous at the thought of something as terrifying as that. Din’s gloved hand resting on your shoulders pulls you back to reality. “You ok?” he asks, almost sensing your worry. You put on a small smile and nod. “Yeah.”

Once you were on the Crest, you allowed your thoughts to stray. What’s a lilac witch? Why are the Mandalorian’s afraid of her? What did she have to do with the death of the person who killed many Mandalorian’s… unless…. Was she.. The one who killed the Mandalorian’s? You groan in frustration… you needed answers… and you knew exactly how to get them.

“Hey Din?” You call, once you make it to the cockpit. “Yes?” You smile to yourself. “Do you wanna play a game?” Din’s eyebrows furrow under his helmet. A game? “Why?” he questions. You sigh. “Well it’s just that hyperspace is so long and boring… it would be fun!” you exclaim. A loud huff leaves his modulator. “What game?” You mentally jump in excitement… The fearsome Mandalorian just said yes to ‘playing’ with you! “I don’t really know what it’s called… but you take turns asking questions, and then the other person has to answer them as quickly as they can with the first thing that comes to their mind.. They usually have 3 seconds or less to do so.” you explain. Din hums unenthusiastically, but clearly in understanding. “You go first.” you encourage. Din sighs. “Ok.” Din has a think of what it is he is going to ask and then his eyes light up under his helm. “Is the reason you always fall asleep with Grogu just an excuse to get out of work?” His question catches you off guard.. Regardless, you giggle. “Possibly.” you reply, still chuckling. “I knew it!” he admits, slapping his outer thigh. Then it’s your turn. You decide to start with the basics… then make things a little riskier. “What’s your favourite colour?” you question with a smirk. Instantly Din replies with “Whatever colour this is.” He admits tugging slightly at the sleeve of your top. You slightly blush at his honesty. You wore an ivory yellow long-sleeve top, with some casual black tights, which complimented your shape. “Yellow?” you ask. He nods. “It’ll probably change tomorrow… and the day after” he admits again. You could almost hear his smile in his words. A small smile tugs at the corner of your lips too. Questions flew back and forth between the two of you for a few more minutes.. Until you ask the question that had been bugging you since you left Nevarro. You take a breath. “What’s a lilac witch?” you practically whisper. An all too familiar silence filled the air once again. It makes your shift uncomfortably. You’ve gone too far. You frown. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to overstep any b-” Din cuts you off. “It’s fine.” You never knew Din could be this sensitive about the topic… it wasn’t like you were asking why so many Mandalorian’s were killed by her hand. To your surprise Din answers you. “She was a woman with god-like powers. The reason we called her the lilac witch was because her powers were a very light purple visible energy, everywhere she went… death and chaos followed… The Mandalorian’s fought against her to protect.. The galaxy… it is said approximately 700 Mandalorian’s died by her hand… according to the books and the legends she died from her power… it, in a way ate her alive… it was too much for a human body to take. Her death was on the 3rd of June…… Today.” You quietly gasp. There was so much history. The armourers' words ring through your head clearly. “There are rumours… the lilac witch has returned” You swallow the thick lump that managed to form in your throat. “And… what if she has returned?” You ask.. Praying you hadn’t offended him in some way. Din sighs loudly. “I don’t know.” You feel as your heart rate quickens. It’s not often Din doesn’t know what to do… this was new… but what scared you even more… your powers were purple. You take in a shaky breath. “D-Din… my p-powers are purple.” you manage to croak out. “Yes… but your powers are a dark shade of purple… the lilac witch had a… lavender kind of purple… yours is more… violet.” he explains, slightly calming you down. “Ok.”

What they want to help you with: For this pile I am seeing that some of you are holding on to something, unable to let go and it is causing you a lot of pain and anguish. Spirit wants to help you let go and focus on other areas of life so you can move on. Some of you could be very artistic and once had some form of art as a hobby? Conspiracy in Emerson's dev blog approaches 1k followers! 🎈

As the silliest of celebrations for this milestone, I'll be doing a Big Fat Character Question & Answer session with a bunch of the student characters (and two faculty members)!

I wish I could announce something more substantial for this benchmark, but honestly? I'm moving from Africa back to North America next month and I'm pretty busy wrapping up personal things and prepping! So this is all I can reasonably do while I've got all this going on. Luckily, the biggest boons of this move are that I'll finally have the space and resources to manage my depression and help improve my inattention in a way that actually produces results. It's a very busy but exciting few months ahead!

Ok, anyway—

Character Q&A Rules:

- Questions and answers will be compiled into a post for each character or character combination, then those will be published once the blog reaches 1000 followers. For easy reference!

- Most asks cannot be meant for "everyone" to answer 'cause I'd never get any of this done. So just use your discretion for that sort of question! You can ask questions of certain groups, though, like R and their best friends or Heidi's whole clique. You can find a list of combos I'm taking under the cut ^ ^

- I will be avoiding major spoilers—and minor ones too, probably! So if you don't see your question included, it might have been just a tad too revealing. Example: I won't be answering about any parents' careers!

- No wall-breaking! The characters can't answer about me, the game, or anything that happens after the summer of 1997! This means no meme reactions either, sorry!

Paimon looks forward to review your Genshin Impact content during the month of MARCH for this month's application!

I. MINIMUM (PATH TO) REQUIREMENTS

YouTubers:

• 1k subscribers

• 4 Genshin Impact videos/month

Bonus! Include Genshin social media links for your language to your description (see the end of the article)

Important: Link your YouTube to your Discord account!

Streamers:

• 1k followers

• 20 hours/month of Genshin Impact

• Minimum of 50 concurrent viewers

Important: Link your Twitch/YouTube/Facebook to your Discord account, and ensure your VODs are available for public viewing.

Guide/Article Authors:

• Up to 4 contents about Genshin with reasonable length and ILLUSTRATIONS!

Important: Provide some proof within your platform that you are the owner such as matching contact or Discord information!

• A list of up to 10 contributors, including self, with UIDs and Discord tags

Complete the form every month for eligibility or renewal!

ONLY 1 application per month please!

Accurately include your Discord tag (Ex: xxx#1234), your UID (number in the bottom right corner of Genshin Impact), and link(s) to your primary platform(s). Ensure you meet the minimum requirements to be considered or you may be suspended from next month's application.

Discord tag is for us to contact you directly if we have a specific request as well as to give you the Content Creator role, UID is for us to send you rewards, HoYoLAB ID is for us to give you the Content Creator badge when you deserved it.

MARCH Content Creators are expected to maintain their quality to qualify for renewal by providing their best content or work so far.

Once all submissions have been reviewed, within a week of application's closure, the invited content creators will be assigned the Content Creator role. Members with this role have been acknowledged for their EXCEPTIONAL content.

Do NOT message Moderators about how the Content Creator Program is managed - Moderators are only responsible for... yeah, moderation.

III. REWARDS

Primogems, primogems and…. PRIMOGEMS! We know you're looking at all those 5-star characters as well as shiny weapons!

We're also thinking about sending official merch for exceptional works, however we might have to wait for that coroni-covida-carrot… hum… virus situation to be over first so we may ensure we can deliver to most destinations. That should give you some time to think of excuses about strangers sending you Paimon Pillows!

We're preparing more things to add to this program, and they will be implemented little by little to make this experience even richer!

prologue - beautiful disaster.

Jude Duarte had two problems, neither of which was the soundless body next to her.

She hadn't meant to kill him, really. Her plan had been simple: get him drunk and let him take her into his house, then drug him to sleep before this could go any further and obtain the information she needed. Except she had discovered a letter to Balekin sitting on the bedside table, her hands faltered in surprise and the man discovered the drug that was meant for his wine.

A lesser fighter would have found a difficult opponent in him.

Jude, however, was training with guns at the age when her twin sister was into dolls and kitchen sets. She wasn't complaining. She preferred this life to the one her two sisters had chosen for themselves, and she loved the feeling of power with her finger hovering above the trigger. Her father, Madoc, had always known she wasn't suited for the role of a normal housewife and he'd never pretended she was. Being second-in-command to Balekin, Madoc had trained her himself, to follow in his footsteps.

Except Jude wasn't satisfied with being second-in-command, not to the sleazeball that was Balekin Greenbriar. When Balekin's elder brother and rival—Dain offered to make her his heir, she'd agreed.

Now, with both Madoc and Dain's training, there was hardly a man Jude couldn't take, despite her small, petite frame. Madoc had never really pushed her to her limits like Dain did though. Where Madoc had ignored her natural talents for espionage and poisons and trickery, Dain had taught her to wield them like a weapon. That was why she was here now, examining the contents of Balekin's letter carefully. This wasn't the information she'd expected. The letter was short, concise and it read:

My father remains benevolent on Dain as ever. But if everything goes according to the plan, he'll have no choice but to punish Dain with death, or look weak in front of his men. Once his darling son is dealt with, Eldred will have no choice but to crown me. Madoc is unaware of the plan though, and I know he won't go through with it if he knew. So make sure he doesn't find out or I will.

Jude sighed, dialling Dain's number. He sounded oddly cheerful. "Jude!"

She frowned, looking down at the letter she found. "Balekin is planning something, don't leave the warehouse until I'm there." She'd tell him the rest in person. With the noises she was hearing, he was drunk enough that it won't register anyway.

"I'm waiting, sweetheart," he said.

Jude rolled her eyes. "And get yourself some water, sober up, ass."

"Look at you, giving orders. I haven't stepped down yet, sweetheart." She heard the amusement in his voice, the slurred words barely making sense. Not trusting him to stay put, Jude demanded to talk to his third—The Ghost. Only after she'd given clear orders to keep their drunkard gang leader inside the House did she focus on her second problem, the mention of Madoc in the letter. Balekin never did trust her much but her father was his closest confidant. Since when was he keeping secrets from Madoc?

Jude suddenly felt tired. She had killed one of her father's men, not that she was sorry about it.

She just hoped her father won't find out about her association with Dain, Balekin's rival. Not until Eldred died or passed his position to Dain. With the joint force of two gangs behind them, Balekin and his second won't be able to touch a hair on their heads. She'd have to hold off Balekin's plan, whatever he meant by that in this damned letter, until it happened. But first, she had to find out what this plan even was.

Jude examined the body. There was no way she could make it look like an accident now.

Instead of cleaning up herself, Jude decided to call her clean-up crew to take care of the body, her eyes catching on something on the nearby wall while she was on her way out. The photograph had been taken last year, a lot of people from Balekin's inner circle in it. Beside Balekin stood his brother with his lanky frame and uninterested, coal black eyes. Madoc always said Cardan Greenbriar didn't have the stomach for this life, though his brother kept insisting for his heir apparent's presence in every meeting he held, made part of every plan.

Even the ones Jude wasn't aware of.

Her lips twitched up, the beginnings of a plan forming in her mind. Cardan Greenbriar wasn't interested in politics or gang business. All she had to do was find out what he was interested in, then use it to get the information she wanted.

And who knows, maybe she could have a little fun while she was at it.
