omg !! im imagining this with that one part of west coast.. but left it vague so you can imagine your fave lana song ♡

rafe was in a good mood. it wasn't anything new—he was always in a good mood around you anyways—but today it seemed even better. you were sat in the passenger seat of his truck, waiting patiently for rafe to drive the two of you to dinner, when he glances over at you with a smile.

the windows rolled down, a breeze coming in and rustling your hair with the warm glow of the sunset filling the car. when he hands you his phone, you look back at him confused.

"y'can pick the music today."

"really?" your entire face lights up with a smile. you start looking through your options immediately while he backs out of your driveway, his arm stretched across the headrest of your seat.

the familiar sound of one of your favorite lana songs fills the car, even seeping out into streets through the open windows. you set down his phone and smile at rafe, pleased that he's happy.

you stare out the window, watching the sun dip further and further away through the trees, wondering how close you are to the restaurant and if rafe will get you dessert after—though you already know the answer.

you're snapped out of your thoughts at another sound—rafe humming along to the end of the song, fingers tapping on the wheel and maybe not even aware of what he's doing. your gaze turns to your boyfriend, eyes staring and taking in the scene, smile a little dozy.

a couple things run through your mind, how rafe's memorized the melody of your favorite song, how he must have liked it enough to remember, how silly yet memorable everything about it feels. warmth blooms in your chest, running up to your face and make your palms clammy.

the song shifts to the next and rafe pulls into the parking lot, stopping the car. he glances up to see you staring back at him.

"what?"

"nothing," you reply, though you feel giddy inside, and over something as small as rafe letting you pick the music and liking what you selected. "i'm... excited for dinner." the lie comes out automatically, not wanting to bring it up just in case. you think you should keep the moment for yourself.

"yeah, me too. c'mon, kid."

"coming, rafe."

Law had not intended to intrude on your privacy, but as fate would have it, he found himself needing something from you soon after you had stepped out of the shower. The encounter gave him a view he had not witnessed before- your hair down, still glistening from the shower.

You were absorbed in the act of brushing out your hair when Law entered. The room smelled of your shampoo, and the sight of you taking care of your hair captivated him. Law couldn’t help but stare. He took in the soft scene unfolding before him, and it only fueled his growing infatuation for you.

You caught movement in the corner of your eyes, and turned to see Law. Surprise filled your features as you took in the sight of him leaning against the doorway with a small smirk on his face. “Didn’t mean to catch you at a bad time,” he said, his voice filled with amusement. Your face heated up, and before you got a chance to chastise him, he spoke up again, catching you off guard. “Your hair down suits you.” It was a simple statement, but it was enough to make you stumble over your words.

“Haha, thanks… I, uh...” you started, trailing off as you failed to find the words to respond. Law's gaze lingered onto you as he stepped towards you, stopping just by your side. He didn’t say anything at first; rather he just reached out to lightly touch your hair. A shiver ran down your spine at the feeling, and you watched as he twirled the damp lock of hair in his fingers for a moment.

A small smile played on his lips as he continued, “You know, you should wear it down more often.” His words left you in a flustered gratitude.

Clearing your throat, you spoke up, “Um, did you need something?” you asked, changing the subject.

He looked at you and an air of realization crossed him that he indeed did come to you initially for a purpose, but it seemed inconsequential now, “I did, but that's not important anymore.” He dropped the piece of hair he was holding and took a step back and looked at you with a smirk as he said, “what’s important now is that you have to start showing me this more often, okay?”

Marco had known your hair was long, judging by the intricacies of the hair styles you usually held it up in, but he did not know just how long your hair was. At least until he stumbled across you sitting on the edge of your bed, in the process of tying it up to protect it from what the day may hold.

There you were, your hair falling down your sides, reflecting the light that shone through the window. Parting your hair and preparing to put it up, you looked up and saw Marcos' expression, sensing something was off. You spoke up, “What's wrong?” dropping your hands to your sides as you let go of your hair, opting to pay attention to him instead.

Marco snapped out of his trance and walked up to you as he responded, “Oh it’s nothing.” He took a seat on the bed next to you as he continued, “You just caught me off guard," he reached out and ran his hand through your hair as he continued, “I knew your hair was long, I guess I just never realized how long it was.”

A smile spread across your lips as you felt his fingers run through your hair. “Surprise” you teased. Marco chuckled, his free hand finding its way to yours, interlacing your fingers.

“I like it,” Marco said, his thumb brushing over the back of your hand. “But then again, I like everything about you.” He stopped running his fingers through your hair, and he placed a gentle kiss on your forehead. “Leave it down for a bit,” he suggested, his eyes lingering on your hair.

“Why?” you asked.

He simply responded with, “I just want to admire the view.”

Zoro had stumbled into your room unexpectedly, his horrific sense of direction failing him once again. As he entered, he noticed you sitting by a mirror untangling your hair. Without much of a reaction, Zoro glanced in your direction and muttered a nonchalant, “This isn’t the men's quarters,”

You looked at him in slight surprise at the abrupt entrance and rolled his eyes at the comment. “Zoro, how the hell did you get lost on the ship? It's not even that big,” you asked, tucking a strand of your hair behind your ear.

He grunted in acknowledgement, eyes glancing around the room before he decided to settle on your bed. You continued detangling your hair as Zoro struck up a conversation with you. He leaned against the headboard, seemingly absorbed in the conversation. Every now and then, his gaze would linger on you a moment more than usual, his expression suggesting that the conversation was not the only thing he had on his mind. But you never noticed, as you were too caught up in your own actions.

Soon, he left the room, seemingly unbothered by the new sight of seeing your hair down, but you would soon realize that he was thinking long and hard about it. Ever since that moment, his hands always found a place in your hair. Fingers delicately threading through the strands to lull you to sleep. Gripping firmly to angle your head, seeking better access to plant kisses and bites along the length of your neck. His touch became purposeful– pulling it away from your face into a makeshift ponytail to reveal your teary-eyed expression as you worked to please him with your mouth. Intertwining and tugging hard as he is buried deep within you coaxing the sweetest moans from your throat. Maybe, just maybe, you should have let your hair down sooner.

manual transmission is a crime against humanity and im glad that i never have to use it again. it wasn’t that bad on the road and changing gears doesn’t take much time but traffic lights became my arch enemies cause i always managed to stall on them 😭 i hope ur lessons were better btw. i feel that will will shake like chihuahua😭 plus it like one extra leg on the clutch and i have no idea how to not forget about it if u only drive automatic.

this is so cheesy but i couldn't stop thinking about it

Zukaang aladdin au!! look i just really really need them to sing a whole new world on a magic Appa carpet ride while staring lovingly into each other's eyes. the balcony scene is also peak zukaang. zuko's dragon druk (instead of jasmine's tiger) sniffing and growling at aang until he realizes he is Safe. Momo is Abu in this case. Hmmm who is prince zuko being married off to? (my vote is zhao=jafar lol)

Omgggg anon! I genuinely love this AU idea. It actually works so well, especially with Zuko as Jasmine and Aang as Aladdin. All of those iconic moments with Zukaang would just be aaaaaaa. So beautiful. You’re making me want to make fan art of this now lol.

I think you’re right that Zhao is the closest counterpart to Jafar, but also if I were to personally try and adapt this AU, I would probably just do away with the whole “marrying the love interest off to the villain” plot lol (it always made me uncomfortable in the original movie anyway). In my version, Iroh would probs take on the role of Jasmine’s dad (the Sultan), Zhao would be Jafar, of course Momo would be Abu and Appa would be the magic carpet, but idek who the genie would be… Sokka (fits the comedic aspect)? Avatar Roku (fits the mystical advice-giver aspect)?? lmao.

Though I guess technically it also doesn’t have to be a one-to-one direct adaptation of everything that happens in Aladdin - like it could just be about Zuko being the FN prince who wants to see the world and not be married off to a rando, while Iroh is his kindly father figure/Fire Lord, and Zhao is the advisor trying to take over the FN. Aang is of course the scrappy street orphan who manages to catch his eye, and maybe he’s also secretly the Avatar who went missing as a baby? Either way he would have hair in this AU lol.

Maybe Toph is one of Zuko’s close friends - she’s a rich girl from another country who lives in the FN bc her parents are like the ambassadors for the EK or something, but she and Zuko often sneak out so they can have “normal” days in the city (and so Toph can fight in underground bending tournaments). Maybe Katara and Sokka are some of Aang’s friends who are also peasants - I can’t really think of how else they’d fit into the story unfortunately lol.

Anywaysssss sorry for the long ass reply anon, you got me to start seriously brainstorming for a second there haha! Idk if I’ll ever write an actual fic, but I’m definitely seriously gonna consider making some fan art for this AU concept… :)

Hello, its me again, the ‘’long ask anon’’ i should totally stop being na anon, i’m too chatty to only show up once in a while, but being the kind of insane anon that shows up from time to time just to ramble is my true calling.

First off i’d like to thank you for being so sweet, i’m glad you enjoyed my feedback to this degree and took time to answer my questions, i really enjoy knowing your thought process in the creation of this fic and what it might become in the future. Anyway, onto your answer.

I totally agree with you on the importance of wintertime for the group, i think its really a shame how they didn’t show us any of it, though its understandable why they didn’t show us its like, come on, winter is prime apocalypse time, even normal winter is tough as we see in the comics. But here’s the thing, Rick in the comics doesn’t really grapple with Lori’s pregnancy at all like we see Daryl do in this fic, and i think its brilliant, sure everyone else is getting it rough too but reader and Daryl are in a constant state of worry, which makes the joyful moments that much more intimate and special and its portrayed perfectly, i get the sense that in the beginning Daryl deals very well with the negative stuff, but really doesn’t know how to behave during the good times (Like Birdie’s first kick etc.) and yea, that’s the essence of Daryl, a great caretaker, kind of self sabotages tho. Poor guy.

And omg i had no idea babies were capable of that sort of stuff, like recognizing who is who even in the womb?! Kind of amazing, i can barely recognize people through phone calls nowadays lol, and the fact you based it on your own little thumper? Ugh i could die from the cuteness.

And Merle, oh well, i know he hasn’t done anything in the story and i have the sense that he will ( leave birdie alone!!!) but wherever he is i hope he’s getting his ass beat right this instant, excited for him to show up tho! He better not start messing up Daryl’s head!!! Or he’ll suffer the consequences!!! I know our reader would not let it slide. :).

And about Lori, i’m still obsessed with the Lori Reader duo, recently rewatched season 2 which has, so many Lori scenes, So many, and it only makes me like her even more in the BT universe, and you really hit the nail on the head with your interpretation of her, she truly is mainly motivated by fear but strongly adheres to her sense of right and wrong. I also love her offering Daryl advice, the fact that most of the interactions between these two in the show are hostile never sat right with me and i’m glad that she is a trustworthy figure to Daryl, enough for him to take her advice to make our reader feel better. It really is sad that the burden she carries is not the baby (ITS RICK!) and that she tries to seek in others what she can’t have is tragic, but very noble in my opinion.

Carol is our perfect angel, best cheerleader ever, she’s Always there for backup even while she is working through her pain, i imagine her pregnancy wasn’t easy on her (cause Ed) and she wouldn’t want to see any other woman struggle with it, the fact that even in the show she tries to learn from Hershel about medicine to help Lori, and sticks next to her Always, and when Hershel is out of comission starts training her C-section technique thinking of Lori, Carol has Always deserved the world honestly. And she is such a great friend in the fic as well, one thing about her is that she really has the reader’s back no matter what, so sweet.

About chapter 30

After Reading it over and over for like an hour i can say, I’M OBSESSED. Daryl??? So cute??? Omg the fluff had me rotating in my room like a rotisserie chicken , You’ve done it again, It really shows that at this time Daryl is aprehensive, but still so in love with Birdie from moment one, that the first thing he does after making sure everything is ok is to make himself presentable for his daughter,OMGGGG, that he doesn’t really want her to see all of him yet and has to trust that his little Bird will accept him as he is (and she Always will!!) is just peak fluff to me, but also sad that it makes me think that he’s Always been afraid of his father, so much so that he believed it would be the first thing she would feel towards him too. I’m enjoying the hell out of the scenes of them both just hanging out and being cute with her and seeing as Daryl gains more confidence as the chapter progresses, when he realizes Birdie loves him as well, when they both hold onto each other, maybe i’m wrong but in my interpretation that’s when Daryl gained the confidence he needed to think of a name for her (who knows, maybe i’m dead wrong, but that’s how i interpreted his silence) And Carol too, being emotional over Birdie makes me wanna scream, what a bittersweet moment it must have been for her, i just know she’ll be the best aunt ever.

This chapter has really entered a new territory of Daryl’s development in my eyes, now that he is so passionate about birdie, he’s already trying to show service for her and reader in a way, i just know that serving his Family and making sure they are happy will be so good for him in the long term, he’s got it all to be happy now. And i’m eating it up.

Anyway, a Thousand words again who would’ve though, no objective analysis this time, just rambling non-stop, being an overly-chatty anon is my true calling fr.

The fact that some random person out there in the world can write more than a Thousand words about your work must make any author proud tho, so i sincerely hope its the same for you, from what i’ve read through it seems you’ve been having a few Hard days, so i hope to make it even a little better with my feedback and appreciation, better days will come for all of us even if the world is an ugly place right now, we still have beautiful things to look foward to and to keep working towards.

I am so sorry. I really wish we could have seen more about their survival. What we saw, they were always on foot and barely had food. Well, we will get to that soon. Daryl is scared shitless but there's just that bond that was formed while reader was pregnant. That's his baby girl. And he's already wrapped around that tiny finger. I absolutely cannot WAIT to bring Merle into the mix. It might be a little different as far as timeline but it will be at the prison. So we have a ways to go. But it will be interesting. Oh, the plans I have!

Lori will play a more pivotal role in the next couple of chapters. Daryl is going hunting. Reader is alone with Birdie. "HELP!" I feel like Lori would have gotten along with Daryl if she didn't have so much on her plate and could really see him. Yeah, he could be an asshole but he was hiding behind his walls, deflecting. She just had way too much going on, no time to offer that chance. Well, goddamnit, I'm giving her that chance. I want to delve into the problems with her and Rick a little more too, with reader involved. Daryl is going to be a helicopter parent, absolutely no doubt. I think he will be more in tune with her feelings and how to handle them because he didn't have that growing up. He'll know the cues of anger or sadness. And she's his daughter. -squeal- I can't wait to write more of daddy Daryl and little Birdie.

I'm not sure if you noticed but at first, it was always reader suggesting the names and he stayed quiet other than to say nah. But every time he had Birdie, she had her little bird blanket. However, he's going to give an explanation of her name in the next chapter. He was too damn sleepy in this one, lol. Carol is my warrior queen! Forever and always! There will be a bond there that is unlike any other. Not just because of losing Sophia but because Carol has found best friends in Daryl (well, it's a work in progress, lol ) and reader. So Birdie is a product of two of the most important people in her life. She will absolutely fight tooth and nail, savagely to protect her.

I need to be careful or I'm going to spoil so much! But I love getting the chance to talk about it like this! Just to explore the thought process and where it's headed without too much detail, I hope.

OKAY. THAT ART. OMFG. I screeched, even half asleep! When I woke up properly, I was just in awe. It is SO beautiful and I would love to add it to the series Masterlist and share if you are comfortable with that. I mean I realize the link is right up there but I want it to be seen every single time someone goes to see the chapters. I cannot say thank you enough for that. It is GORGEOUS. Perfect. I definitely start out with the ending in mind and then like the emotion i want to be building the whole thing up to. And then i am like hmmmmmmm what is a thing that will make that emotion feel like a Big Thing or feel like it was inevitable. I write the ending first ALWAYS (bc i never have anything else at the start 😭) and then i just hit enter a bunch of times and flicker around the doc as i come up w different scenes i am a PANTSER

hmmmm i would say do not let other peoples character opinions doubt YOUR opinions about the character. I think some of the Tumblr discourse abt “this is so stupid” “this character is NOTTT ___” can make it so u get scared of like omgggg what if im being a bad writer or what if this is ooc and people don’t like it that was what ruined beat journalism for me (BESIDES NOT HAVING ANY IDEAS FOR CH 3 DESPITE HAVING CH 4 the ending DONE) because i was so scared people wouldn’t like it but in the end YOU HAVE TO GO WITH YOUR HEART

25—What fic do you wish you got more of a response on?

There Is. i LOVE the ending of There Is. its my favorite ending of anything I’ve written ever. but it was a weird fic for me because i haaaate zombie aus so i definitely would not have clicked on it to read it either. but i do love that fic lol

45—Do you want to break your readers‘ heart or make them laugh?

-ok. so. i wasn't going to be one of those people.

-the people that just hop on the "snow is hot" bandwagon.

-but, alas...

-please don't expect any genuine analysis here, there is nothing even remotely close to that present at this time

-anyway. let's start from the top.

-the seventeen semi-unnecessary shirtless/shower/half-naked-sulking scenes they managed to cram in these first three seconds is actually kind of impressive

-i'm not complaining.

-i see all the snow family fortune is funneling directly into the Coriolanus bleach and tone fund

-the only thing running through my mind is book snow's inner monologue

-"district scum" keeps coming to me in flashes

-hop skip and jump to the reaping scene

-peter dinklage will slay no matter the occasion.

SOO I JUST FINISHED HEARTSTOPPER SEASON 2 RN.

AND UHHH I SMILED AND CRIED SO MUCH.

I LOVE HEARTSTOPPER SO MUCHHH.

(I'll warn you now, heartstopper SPOILERS ahead:)

I loved how we got to see Elle much more than the books, and i love the fact that she's an artist and she found other queer people in her new school and stuff.

I LOVE TORI SO MUCH. The "you're a pathetic little man" scene!!!! The scene where she dug her nails into David for being a dick when they were at the dining table. The scene where she told Nick to either take care of Charlie or he does!! I love her. Tho she did come accross darker this season as I've seen other people say

And the part where Isaac said "I've never really have any celebrity crushes" just hit different tbh, and the moment where he held the ace book and just strut out the library omgg. And Crush Culture by Conan Gray was perfect for Isaac i think.

And one thing, I never expected to see tao and charlie kiss, even if it was a dare...

Ohh, Nick's coming out at the party scene was slightly better in the book tbh

Also, I love the teachers (Farouk, Ajayi, and singh).

Ohhhhh, Imogen. Babe you are an idiot. Ben Hope, seriously?? Also is it just me or am I imagining stuff cuz there was a vibe about Sahar and Imogen towards the end, so idkkk

And OMGGGG SEVEN IS SUCH A PERFECT SONG FOR TARA AND DARCY.

The 'haunted' part. The 'your dad(mom) is always mad' part. The 'come live with me' part. The 'you won't have to cry or hide in the closet' part. Like omg. A song can't get more perfect than that. I love them so much. Darcy deserves much better parents, and also a hug tbh.

And the part where Charlie told Nick about self-harming. I was sobbing so much.

One thing about the ending tho, I don't think Charlie's gonna send Nick that message, next season will probably start with Charlie gay panicking and searching up "how to tell someone i love you" and talking to himself and making up a scenario like in the book. Cuz I really want the "YOU TOLD ME ILY IN THE SHOWER" scene

Anywayy, that's all for my Heartstopper season 2 rant, i loved it SOOO MUCHHH that I could cry. (I did actually cry lolll)

darklina scenes are very well done...the desire and the way the darkling is describing his past and his way of thinking

and now, to answer your question, here are the potential people i see for elena in the tvd universe who i consider best as endgame for elena.

(for anyone who disagrees with this post, please note that these are my personal opinions and i'm absolutely sure there's no need to start a catfight in the comments section <33)

so, for this analysis, i'm considering elena as bisexual (which i generally do, since she's had chemistry with both male and female characters in the show that has potential to be endgame)

elena & tyler — tylena would've been such a delight! both of them had amazing, top-notch reactions every time they had a scene together, be it good or bad and i would've loved it if they were endgame. tyler is incredibly loyal to elena and is also very protective and supportive of his significant others. he's also very passionate and blunt and provides constant assurance to his partner, which is something elena needs in the world of supernaturals. on the other hand, elena would always love tyler with her whole heart and never be afraid of his wolf side and would even aid him in his transformations even if he posed a significant threat to her life span.

elena & elijah — hands-down, the ultimate tvdu power couple. both complement the other's personalities and values. i've written a long-ass post as to why elejah is absolutely magnificent and i'll just link it right here for anyone who is interested to give it a read <33

elena & marcel — power couple in the chat! king and queen of new Orleans, jazz dances in rousseau's, and a much better rain kiss GUARANTEED. that man would literally sweep elena off her feet and everyone else would be absolutely fuming lmfao

elena & rebekah — s4 really just put beklena into the competition. with the constant rivalry they had in s3, s4 just gave a whole new perspective to things. from all the relationships rebekah has had, elena would've been the most healthy partner out of marcel and whoever else she's had a relationship with. plus, in some way or the other, just like elijah, rebekah made elena realize her worth.

elena & bonnie — perfect for friends-to-lovers. plus, both have the all dying and sacrificing thing very common between them. bonlena just speaks for itself and honestly, bonnie is wayyyy healthier for elena's mental sanity and like rebekah and elijah, she also reminds elena of her worth. however, a bonus point with bonnie is that there's a lot of trust and assurance between the two and both of their values hardly clash. it's just another ship that you'd definitely root for as endgame.

elena & freya — the only mikaelson elena has never got a chance to meet is freya. i believe freya and elena woild definitely complement each other. meet disaster turned cute friendship turned into a romance built on everlasting and heart-racing love. and hell yeah they'd definitely hit it off the second they met each other! (plus, both of them would make each other laugh a whole lot more with how serious freya is and how miserable elena's life is)

elena & jackson kenner — both have similar values towards friendship, romance and family and honestly, this is just such a wholesome ship. the thought it makes me positively squeal. if you're open to jacklena and would like to explore more, @sevensistersofsussex's 'throne of blood' is a brilliant place to start <33

elena & klaus — this is an incredibly rare pair which i 100% endorse. i know they may not seem to be compatible with the constant fighting between them. but they can be a beautiful relationship if given a chance and (i assure you) A WHOLE LOT BETTER than delena. for reasons why i ship them, i'll link the post right here. for reasons why i endorse them 100% and find them compatible, i believe my fics are more than enough for an answer. there's also 210+ fics under the klaus/elena tag on ao3 and they are brilliantly written by some of the writers i consider as my family and if you wish to explore, i'm linking my recs post right here <33

elena & kol — again, very self-explanatory. like damon, kol is also very capable of unlocking elena's adventurous style but UNLIKE damon, kol has massive potential to do it in a healthy manner. plus, can you imagine the shenanigans they could get upto? katherine would straight up say 'nope, i am outta here'

elena & finn — istg, our queen is compatible with every mikaelson LMFAO i legitimately love finnlena. they're so precious and they both wish to be human at the end of the day and with finn, i don't think elena would face that much trouble with how less number of enemies finn has (except for klaus and kol lmao)

elena & cami — our two human firebirds would be AMAAAAZING for each other <33 plus, both of them would be requiring a drink at the end of every goddamn day after dealing with the mikaelsons and salvatores.

elena & enzo — bonenzo serves as proof of how much of an amazing and healthy partner enzo is and i think he'd be great for elena! both of them would be an amazing support to each other and they'd definitely hit it off!

elena & kai — i think they'd make a pretty great ship. kai's association with elena might make him think about restraining his murderous tendencies and turn him into an anti-hero like klaus. though, i think he'd have much trouble restraining elena from attacking anyone who tries to harm him or their loved ones (he wouldn't stop her tho, he'd just find a tub of popcorn and enjoy the show)

elena & hayley — they've interacted less, yes, but i don't care, i find the romance side of haylena to be incredibly hot. plus, elena would be a brilliant step-mom to hope <33

elena & lucien — again, they have had zero interactions over the course of the show and its universe. but i find this ship really freaky in a good way and i wouldn't mind seeing elena with lucien 👀

elena & aurora — again, same explanation as lucien & elena's dynamic.

and finally, an honourable mention...

elena & henrik — if the show could've accommodated henrik somehow by bringing him back and possibly him being aged up due to magic, i see fionn whitehead playing an adult henrik. according to, like, my headcanon (based on theory), henrik and klaus are half-siblings of the other mikaelsons, meaning henrik is also esther's child with klaus' father, making henrik a werewolf-vampire hybrid too. he was always quite fascinated with werewolves like klaus and unlike elijah, rebekah, finn and kol so he does seem to be klaus' blood brother and half. he'd definitely be the most interesting mikaelson sibling of all and i think, with given time, elena and henrik would've had a pretty sweet relationship.

It's late, I'm very tired, but I am going to write you the ask anyway because I need you to know you put a new fic idea into my head and somehow it has grown and now what am I going to do? Do I have time for it? No. But it's been a lot of fun writing a snippet on the train today (as you do) and I hope it will stay for a while and maybe develop?

Basically, it's -

"[The cat] already has a name" the Doctor said suddenly. "She's called Siren." "You've named her?" Yaz exclaimed. "Has she told you?" Graham asked. "Mate, she doesn't actually speak 'cat'; she was having you on, earlier" Ryan stage whispered, before blinking and looking over to the Doctor. "You don't, do you?" "She's wearing a name tag" the Doctor explained and really, now that Yaz was examining the cat's collar, there was a tiny silver square reading 'Siren'. "Oh" she said, wondering why the Doctor hadn't used the name yet. Was it as not to get too attached? It had taken her awfully long to enter the discussion on the name, too.

I'm not quite sure how far this will go but there is actual plot already somewhere. It's a bit - difficult though. Because they're all treating the cat like you would treat a cat. Which is different from how you'd treat a human/timelord/whatever, especially when it comes to boundaries. And they don't know she's not a cat of course, because River is there ~undercover~. To them, basically, 13 has 'adopted a stray'.

Anyway, it is still very fun :) (also 90% of it has turned into a zoo tycoon ad but I am blaming that on companion-showdown) I love writing for the fam! It's difficult to juggle so many people in one scene but I love all of them so much 🥰 (but if I do write this whole piece it will probably end up being doctor/yaz/cat!river centric so that's only 3 characters and one is mainly non-verbal)

(This is about that cat named River Song in that post (yesterday?) and you saying it should be River undercover btw. Not sure whether that's been clear until now.)

Do you think Siren is a good name? Sirens sing and live in bodies of water, so I thought she might choose it as a not-too-obvious undercover name. Plus, River would dig the seductress connotations. (It might also have come to my mind because we've been talking about mermaids but anyway)

Alternatively, I was thinking Cleopatra bc we know River has cosplayed as her and it would be cute to call the cat 'Cleo'. It's a very cat-like name, I think.

Or 'Melody'? More angsty but also more obvious and riskier. And the idea is that the Doctor cannot know either she's there. But it also makes a good name for a cat I think.

(also, yeah, I totally haven't finished the lkh rewrite either, I think I told you earlier. But ohhh shiny new fic concept with thasmin and River and a cat 😍😍😍 anyway I am blaming you <3 (for the idea, not the procrastinating - the procrastinating is 100% on me))

I love the name Siren so much!! Like first, it fits with the "River" (body of water) "Song", but it also reminds me of how when River calls for the Doctor, they are always there for her, almost as though drawn to River.

(Shiny new ideas always so appealing, yuppp, it is a thing I know all too well)

I am so excited to read more of this, and am looking forward to the plot that awaits us!

On the point of juggling so many characters, yes, I find that anything above three characters regularly interacting gets a bit crowded. Perhaps you'll still find a way to have Ryan and Graham there and doing little tasks during the fic, like for instance sending them to get food for Siren XD

OH MY GOD!!!! oh my god omgggg the new chapter is AMAZING 🤩 just read it and ran here so i am sorry it might turn out like incoherent mess i am kinda overwhelmed 😭 first of all, WHY IS HE SUCH A DUMMY??? i mean in ALL ways, we all know that he's a fuckboy (he totally was, but still tries to maintain this aura) but he's such a pathetic dork when it comes to y/n and he doesn't even try to hide it (he has my total respect for that), idk in my mind he's just one of these guys who will say you the most cheesy stuff and be so adorable and handsome at this time with his stupid blue eyes and a smirk 😮‍💨 not for everyone obviously, this stuff is reserved for a y/n😭 on a more serious note, WHY IS HE SUCH A DUMMY x2??? and this time i mean about pushing away a y/n, I can understand why he's doing that and it really hurts me, because he just try to push her away for her good before the things become way more serious (as if they weren't serious enough, yes satoru???) but they're so deep rooted in each other that it's impossible to do and senseless. but hooray, he did share his vulnerability and didn't hide it completely (the bathroom scene after the first hearing i mean), congratulations satoru we are heading towards the right way! though the thing that you did in that circus completely vanished your progress 😭 the moment when he left the mark on his arm and exchanged glances with suguru i knew something was off and he would do something stupid and i was like DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE YOU'RE A DUMMY 😭😭😭 but actually i knew he would take all the responsibility for their romance as you heavily implied it in his words throughout the chapters, so that was expected yet really fucking hurt me 😭 what i wasn't expecting for certain is the fucking sukuna in this fucking ethics committee, a stupid prick, why he had to ruin their lives like that 😭 hate his disgusting brainless persona with all my guts. also the thing between him and satoru that satoru didn't quite want to share...my guess is sukuna might know about the death of that patient that still haunts satoru (from your hcs) and tries to blackmail him somehow ??? sorry i don't remember whether it's known publicly or not, but this fucker certainly has something on satoru and I didn't like it 😫
