Listen. I love Taylor. I always have. She's the artist I would secretly listen to at friends' houses when my parents thought I was too young to listen to songs about boys. But her choices rn are... Not Good. Matty Healy is disgusting and awful and has shown zero remorse for the things he's done. It both breaks my heart and confuses the hell out of me that Taylor is dating him. Bo-Katan Week 2022, Day 3: Alternate prompt, Bo-Katan and Pre Vizsla (there is nothing Beloved here, despite what these two might say).

On the eve of storming Nal Hutta, Bo-Katan voices her concerns with the path Death Watch is taking.

It's my favorite garbage fire ship! This is a pairing I love to hate and hate to love. They are perfectly horrible together, and I have a lot of thoughts and feelings about them. I also feel VERY strongly that Bo's time with Pre was highly influential on her, right up through when we see her in the Mandalorian (oh, hey....when you spent 20+ years recovering from being in love with a wannabe cult leader, you can spot a cult victim pretty quickly!). Which is actually what I love more than the literal ship, itself.

PLEASE MIND THE TAGS. While nothing explicit happens, a lot of things about their relationship and the physical and emotional elements of it are implied. anonymous : How does Dazai view Mori before Oda’s death versus after?

for better, but mainly for worse, mori was dazai's only father figure in life. hell, mori was the only parent dazai had in his life. basing his childhood off of his real life counterpart, dazai's biological parents were virtually non-existent in his life. his father was always busy and his step-mother was always ill, leaving dazai with little to no parental attention as a child.

not only that, but he couldn't make connections with anyone. he could not understand people or feel the same emotions as his peers. he considered himself broken or not even human at all. the first person he could ever connect with was mori, the man who used him as a tool as a means to an end. dazai could not understand emotions but he could understand logic. he could understand using a suicidal teenager as witness to a crime. and we already know how mori felt about dazai, considering him a kindred spirit and so very much like himself.

hence the most horrible, traumatic, toxic father/son relationship was born. from the moment mori killed the old boss in front of him and named him an accomplice, dazai has basically trauma bonded to mori. with no real understanding of typical parental bonds (or any sense of right and wrong in general), dazai sees nothing wrong with the way mori manipulates him. make no mistake, he knows mori is manipulating him but he considers this normal doesn't thinks it's abuse at all.

it's no secret mori was trying to shape dazai into his heir, into a perfect copy of himself to lead the port mafia in the future, but i think dazai's connection to mori is a bit more genuine on his part. despite lacking in empathy, dazai still feels very much. he seeks out connection despite not knowing that it's what he's doing. he sticks with mori because he is the only thing to make sense in the world. and for the first time in his life, he's actually given attention. he's still a child and he's still human (despite what dazai thinks) and he craves all the same things a child does, though through a very distorted lens by the fact that mori is the one raising him and mentoring him.

that's why i like to think that, when it's revealed that mori has basically sent oda to his death, dazai feels betrayal. like, logically he understands mori's reasoning and can even see the lesson he's trying to make dazai glean from the whole mimic case. but at this point, dazai has gotten friends. he's gotten to develop his emotions outside of mori's sphere of influence (they make a big deal about the fact that oda, ango, and dazai's friendship transcend hierarchal boundaries). so despite logical understanding he's still hurt by mori's actions. it's honestly the only time he's ever felt hurt by him.

dazai will always consider himself similar to mori. he still respects him as a leader and tactician but knows now that he isn't be-all and end-all of what leadership and power is supposed to look like. there is nothing strong enough in dazai to hate him, would probably even care if he died. a lot of his trauma is unresolved and that bond between them is still there. but dazai is never going back to the mafia. he knows that it would be so easy to slip right back into being the demon if he did.

Vent incoming

My husband has been angry just all fucking day. Started this morning at 8-fucking-am and him being mad that I had the audacity to get out of bed when I woke up. Then he wanted to pick up breakfast because we’re out of coffee. Then got mad and waffled about it because he felt like he should just go to the store. Refusing to tell me why or “talk about [his] feelings” and giving mostly one word answers until I put the wrong thing on the tv and he just kind of scoffed and started angrily picking at his sandwich before saying he was just going to go watch baseball and storming off again. He told me to watch what I wanted - as if he wasn’t there - but when I went to put what I wanted to watch, he got angry because it wasn’t a show he was into. Cue a whole bunch of back and forth between us, him storming off a couple times and yelling before we could manage to sit down to watch something. The first thing I put on elicited a “I shouldn’t have agreed to do this”. I’m exhausted at this point. I can’t even remember who suggested stargate but it was the only acceptable thing.

All this on the day before the dog I got in college has to go into surgery and stay at the vet over night for a cruciate ligament repair. He’s so selfish. At least getting up at 6:30 gave me an excuse to get into bed at 9:30 that he couldn’t guilt me about.
