I don't wanna draw it but imagine I'm beaming y'all an image of one of unit swap mmj's performances where Haruka and Airi are dancing together in a very coordinated fashion while Minor break dances several feet away from them and Shizuku is just bobbing in the back doing the macarena

#rat rambles #sekai posting #unit swap au #theyre trying their best 😔#its ok they get better at coordination over time but at first minori and shizuku struggle a bit fjgndkdh #haruka and airi have been doing street performances for years and are rivals and are constantly pushing the other to be better #they are good friends and they love being super competitive with eachother but secretly airi feels as if shes the worse performer of the 2 #airi starts getting a bit anxious and upset after haruka suddenly recruited shizuku as a partner feeling as if shes being left behind #so she decides to try finding a partner of her own and stumbles across minori practicing dancing on the school roof and the rest is history #minori got into the idea of street permorming after seeing rad weekend but was worried abt being bad at it but then ans dad was like u got #it in u just put in the work and youll get there #and while that did inspire minori to start working towards being a street performer as a goal she took it to mean hone her skills and #then after she thinks shes good enough to actually start performing which ended in a couple year long feedback loop fkfndkf #but then airi came along and was like dude holy shit you need to just start actually performing already r u seeing urself?#and then minori just starts listing off all of her struggles with improv and stuff and airi is just like bro if u wanna improve at that you #rly need actual stage experience youll get nowhere just practicing the same things on ur own forever #so thats how airi picked up minori and took her under her wing #like I said shizuku used to be an idol similar to canon and quit due to similar reasons (nene snapping being the last straw for her)#after she generally tried to not be in public too often but one day stumbled across one of haruka's street performances and was drawn in #after that she started passively seeking them out whenever she was out in public and eventually started memorising her usual spots #haruka actually recognised shizuku as she had been interested in her old group and was disheartened but understanding when she left #haruka became more interested in her as she kept seeing her at her performances and eventually reached out to her and they started chatting #it quickly became clear to haruka that shizuku missed performing but just did not want to go back into industry work #so haruka offered to do mini performances with her in private and eventually asked her to perform with her in public as well #and while shizuku was unsure abt being a public figure again she found performing with haruka to be more fun than shes had in ages #it made her remember why she loved singing and made her miss being in front of a crowd so she accepted #it wasnt rly smooth sailing for them after that as both of them dealt with some backlash from many angles but they decided to stick with it #eventually airi brings in minori and minori and shizuku both worry abt holding their respective partners back and end up bonding over that #a bit and start practicinh together when they used to do their extra solo practice #and then airi deals with more infiriority complex stuff but I dont have tags left to talk abt that sorry fkfbdjd

i dont necessarily dislike the opinion that movies should be more about imagery texture and emotion than dialogue bc the visuals and sound are what make them unique as a medium + visual storytelling takes advantage of film’s particular characteristics like I can see where they’re coming from. but personally I like movies that are basically just dialogue I want to hear people screaming and yelling at each other + funny jokes also. but idk I really love visuals so I think its mostly bc of my personal failure to get immersed in a movie like feel like I’m inside it yk. and low attention span 😔🙏 sorry denis

#the exception is animation esp hand drawn #if I wanted to witness the beauty of the natural world I’d go outside and experience life #its nice don’t get me wrong like I really enjoy it but it doesn’t carry a movie for me yk #unless it’s a bunch of really good drawings in which case it does <3 #i will say that outside of personal taste I think movies can be very vague abr character motivation if theyre especially minimal #wrt dialogue #which makes it harder to get engaged in the sublime emotions of the story if you ask me #nothing wrong with primarily visual storytelling as long as you give your audience an in yk #^ofc emotional impact isn’t always the goal !! obviously the best approach depends on what a movie is trying to achieve #and dialogue vs visuals is a fake dichotomy I’m talking abt basically just for the sake of this post lol #long winded way of admitting I didn’t get dune 😔 I liked blade runner 2049 though

my problem is i think most of p5s ships are cute and thats why i almost always am down for some form of polythieves

usually i just lump all the guys together cause all those ships are just so good to me??? and i mean like, every combination of them, even without ren. ill ship ryuji and yusuke. and i also love goro with either of them. ryugoro and akekita are so rare but theyre so nice?? they all just. clenches fists. theyre so good ot4 pegoryugorokita

goroann besties is real in my heart. also goroharu being like the Cursed besties ever in the end like. my god they have such a wack and unhinged platonic soulmates/kindred spirits potential. goromako rivals forever my guy they are so fucking funny. and ryukoto is kinda cute...

i think shumako is nice but its just not my cuppa tea. they are dear friends and i do love the image of ren and makoto being a bit rivalcoded and butting heads over phantom thievery and how to lead the team best. and goro is weirdly the one who can actually somehow stop arguments before they happen and get them to compromise.

makoto is NOT the mom friend okay she is the bossy and protective older sister friend. and she is smart and sensible but not immune to her friends infecting her with Stupid. ren is the mom friend. and the dad friend. best of both things. :)

ren: its hard raising 8 kids when youre in high school and an 18 y/o whos like if a divorced widow was a boy 😔 sojiro: what happened to your husband??? ren: he was lost at sea goro: ren, look at this dog i saw on my way here ren: i can still hear his voice

meanwhile i love futago half siblings headcanon. so while goro and makoto are a little more sibling rivalry coded, futaba is still goros actual gremlin sibling who will bully him to death. meanwhile, futaba is actually adoptive siblings with ren. these two are WAY more sibling coded than goro and futaba ever.

and when futaba starts trying to do similar Sibling dynamic things with goro. goro is like ??? "ren, futaba just came in here. stared at me. burped. and then left. what does this mean." and ren is like. "oh is there food? theyre probably telling you theres food and to come out if you want some. or if this is your first time seeing them today they could just be greeting you." and goro is like ????? but louder this time

i love shujin trio poly... and i default to them being the OG Cule. shuann? v cute love them. ryuann? also cute and honestly v funny of how messy i imagine their hookups being. like they keep breaking up and eventually finding their way back to each other. sometimes i see them as sibling coded, too, more than anything else. overall i just love these three together they are the tomodachis of all time they are partners for life

i also love ryuharu. and harukita (yuharu?) theyre really cute.... then theres good ol makoharu and annmako (makoann?) and i love them too... honestly love hifumi and makoto too?? i think they would be huge fucking dorks together... perhaps.... rivals, even?

goro and hifumi being friends... good shit. hifumi and yusuke being close friends? plz... and ren and hifumi are just. wahh i love them theyre so good. even futaba and hifumi could be cute, honestly.... wtf

anntaba is a rare one but theyre also v cute to me... and if they arent girlfriends i love the idea of futaba having a crush on her and then realizing those feelings are actually just Admiration and Gender envy. i also love the idea of morgana finding out his crush on ann is ALSO GENDER ENVY RELATED.... we love nonbiney morgana. hope is genderless

and makoto is always being an older sister to futaba. yutaba is nice, too. i honestly see futaba and yusuke being aspec and theyre platonic soulmates and in a qpp. and ofc sumitaba my beloved... i love sumitaba a lot

i adore ryusumi too like oh myg od,,.. wahh.... the sweeties. sumikita is so rare but like. i think they could be kinda cute too?? sumigoro is V platonic soulmates to me like my god theyre so. clenches fist. honestly whole royal trio tbh is just. "they can make each other worse" and each of them thinking "thank god im the normal one here" thats it thats the whole dynamic. and its so funny.

shusumi is cute too but honestly i think i prefer both ren and goro have somethin of a platonic soulmates or older sibling dynamic with sumire. they have adopted her okay. sumiann isnt one i see a lot either but they.... THEM.....

any mishima ship is super funny imo but like, theyre cute. love yuuki having a crush on ren but like. the game makes it near impossible for you to actually be fucking nice to him so i always get the vibe that ren would rather keep him at a distance, even tho they appreciate him and care about him.

its okay tho cause i say hes good friends with the OG trio + shiho and they vibe. yuuki crushing on goro, to his own horror? hilarious. and weirdly enough shiho and ren?? idk what their acronym is. but. oh my god. theyre actually weirdly cute? but i see them having disaster twins energy. theyre absolute menaces.

Orpheus in the mechanisms canon is such a great character, especially in Orpheus & Narcissus Go on a Trip to the Seaside because he’s watching his best friend Narcissus struggle to cope with his superstitious idiosyncrasies and his borderline obsession with that mirror & Orpheus thinks to himself “damn hes Mentally Ill™️, theyr gonna put him in the asylum fr 😔” as if he, Orpheus, isn’t having potentially prophetic dreams, isn’t actively stockpiling brain-melting acid in his room, and wasn’t just caught trying to rebreak his own toe with a book like… ok king of 0 self-reflection!! absolute legend, please continue!!!

fair warning: I've skipped like most culinary croucible events and forgot 90% of the ones i played, so this is all based on my subjective reading of their vibes and the limited canon knowledge i could gather in my brain

do i even need to explain this one??

One of the first episodes in their chapter was literally cooking with jamil

I LOVE middle eastern food. give me hummus and some pita bread and im set for life.

Pre scarabia arc jamil would be a dangerous choice, but post chapter? im gonna be knocking on his door with bribes so that he gives me any extra food he made 🙏
