Can we talk about the importance of Nico and Will being the sun and the STAR
Because I’m pretty sure I’ve seen people use them as a sun and moon couple before this book and the thing is people don’t understand the inherit underlying toxicity of the sun and moon dynamic. Because all of the moons light comes from the sun. Now this is not to say that sun/moon isn’t cute or can’t work out but there’s always going to be someone in the relationship who feels less than or is viewed as such or is reliant on the other.
But the sun and star are both heaveanly bodies that create their own light. They both shine brightly but the star just has a little bit more distance which means people don’t always notice it. Which is so perfect for Nico because he shines so brightly, he can see such beauty in life according to Will there’s no brighter light than Nico Di Angelo. But Nico has a penchant for putting distance between himself and others. People don’t always see his light but once they do they realize how beautiful it is.
Will bring a sun is obvious but I can say more on it. Will’s light is so obvious because he’s close to people. He’s always there helping, and being cheery. But Will struggles to see the same beauty that Nico can which could parallel the way that the bigger seeming sun is smaller than a lot of stars.

Kaveh was the sun and Alhaitham was the moon.
a/n: I started writing this in the middle of the night and didn't really know where it was going, so please excuse any mistakes or things that don't really make sense
tags: comparison to sun and moon, Alhaitham and Kaveh x GN! reader, could be read as haikavetham if you really squint
no warnings
Kaveh filled every room he entered with his energy. When he laughed, those around him felt compelled to join, regardless of if they understood what was funny. When he was sad or upset, the mood would drop to match his energy.
Kaveh radiated when he smiled, like a rare ray of sunshine that one couldn't help but want to shelter away. Whatever hurt him hurt you, and what brightened him up left you feeling almost burning.
Kaveh constantly was there, always in front of you pushing to help you forward. His light was what gave you energy, or gave you hope.
When Kaveh was gone, you felt his absence like a gaping hole in your chest. You wondered where he could have possibly been gone, and when he would come back.
Alhaitham was the moon, a soft reassurance for you, but an ominous warning for others. Seeing the scribe in person always felt a little uncomfortable. His silence around most people left them reeling from his few blunt words when they were necessary.
Alhaitham was the moon because he shined best when there was no one watching. It was a softer glow, but you always managed to catch the moments where he really did try.
Alhaitham often was alone, choosing not to join you and Kaveh in your adventures. He would rather sit alone in the quiet instead of run around on a wild goose chase, no matter how fun you said it was going to be.
Without Alhaitham there, most people didn't notice a thing. But without him, the sky felt just as empty and alone. A night without his soft glow felt suffocating, and the darkness surrounding you was filled with invisible threats you wished there was just a little light to shed on.
They didn't like to share your sky, preferring to take turns rather than fight for your attention. But without Kaveh, Alhaitham would just be another rock, circling the earth with no importance. Without Alhaitham, Kaveh would leave you burned and alone, too bright and emotional for you to handle. It was them together that balanced your day, providing light for you to soak in and reflect.
But what about the other way around?
Maybe Kaveh was the moon, hiding the truth about his unfortunate financial situation under his fame as an architect.
Maybe Kaveh was the moon, hiding away to work long after the sun had set, never truly resting. A symbol of creativity would only be fitting of an artist like himself.
Maybe Kaveh was the moon, pulling at the tides of the world around him.
And maybe Alhaitham was the sun, burning bright with academic achievement. His impressive titles within the Akademiya followed him and brought a sense of importance wherever he went.
Maybe Alhaitham was the sun, always sure in his actions and following a strict schedule. He never spent a moment more than necessary doing anything, and always arrived on time.
Maybe Alhaitham was the sun, ensuring the survival of the world around him. Without him, the inner workings of Sumeru very well could collapse.
No matter which way you saw it, they were both irreplaceable and meant more than anything to you. You didn't know what you would do without them, and what they would be like if they didn't influence each other the way they have.

You sacrificed it all
For the version of me you thought I was
But people change, it was just a phase
You were the sun, I was the moon
We never really met,
Really got to know our shadows
Only the light, the fun part
Where most people stay at
But I wanted more than that
I wanted to merge
I wanted an eclipse

The Moon’s Lullaby - A song by ME :D
each night, the Moon descends
from celestial heights
to visit her lover
the Earth
with her hair, black as void
and her eyes’ silver light
as she sings
of a constant rebirth
The Moon holds her lover
her hands cracked and dry
but her grip loose enough
to allow room to breathe
she loathes the dawn
when she returns to the sky
and longs
for her lover beneath
she sings the Sun to sleep
so she can hold her darling
each tear the Earth weeps
and every lunar scar
she only longs to keep
what exists under starlight
and leap
to the woman who holds her heart

Sun and Moon trope but make it tragedy
We were the sun and moon, but like we loved eachother so hard but from afar
Sun and Moon, but like you couldn't handle the distance
Sun and Moon, but like you forgot how to shine as bright now I'm gone
Sun and Moon, but like the sky's never felt so alone without you
Sun and Moon, but when we got too close my love burned you.
Sun and Moon, but like we are both hurting and despite it all I still want to share this space with you.
