The Bat-Adoption Papers are literal Magic Contracts
So! In the Deified Batman AU (the AU where the Belief of the peoples of Gotham accidentally Ascended Batman to minor godhood), the Bat Adoption Papers would be a fun concept.
Batman is a God of The Night, Fear, and Protection. Specifically, the protection of Children, which is one of his biggest motivators. Meaning, it's a big part of his Divine Domain.
So when he, a God of Protection and Children, adopts his own Child? It's kind of a big deal.
His Adoption Papers basically become Magical Contracts that claim Dick to him as his own Son, basically turning Dick into a Demigod by the fact that he is the Son of a God.
Then each time Batman adopts a kid, they become a Demigod as well. Maybe after enough time, and after they forge their own Identities, they could become Minor Gods of their own? Idk, fun idea
Why do I bring this up?
Well, when Danny eventually joins the JLA, and runs into Batman, all he sees in a God of the Night, who takes one look at him, and then pulls out a Magical Binding Contract from his Belt.
Needless to say, he books it.

A Catfish??
All of the bat children are horrified when they found out the boy Damian has been talking online, someone they were expecting to be a 5’3 twig. Someone who Damian has been crushing on for years turned out to be a 6’3 muscle-bound fucker that makes Jason look small.
They are even more horrified when they realized they never gave Damian the internet talk and for some reason Bruce is not reacting like this is something of concern and what the fuck-?!
The reason Bruce is not freaking out like the rest of his kids is quite simple.
He can see the last of the baby fat clinging to Danny’s face, he notices how even though Danny is a walking tank of a being, he still glances at the doorways like they could not be trusted.
Like he wasn’t used to his height.
No Bruce is not concerned, because all signs and research just points to one fact.
Danny Fenton has came into a Fenton-sized growth spurt.

i am willing to bet one hundred million thousand dollars that after curt shot owen, he stared at the body for a long fucking time. he dropped his gun and fell to his knees and just stared at the body of the man he loves more than anyone else, the man who's first death stopped curt's entire world. who curt's regretted killing for four, long years. i bet he started sobbing, after it truly hit, after he noticed some of owen's blood and brain matter had splattered onto his pristine blue shirt. he probably fucking wailed, kneeled over owen's cooling body like a fanatic at a destroyed gods altar, shaking him, desperate to wake him up, desperate to take it back. maybe he thought about shooting himself, right then and there. maybe he pressed the cool barrel of the gun he used to kill owen against his forehead and wonder if he should pull the trigger. in the end, he would be too much of a coward. instead, he would soak owen's shirt with tears, run his fingers through his hair, and just beg him to wake up. beg owen to come back to him. and when the effort would prove futile, eventually he would lie down beside him and stare into his glassy eyes, too drained to keep crying, to drained to do anything at all, but still unable to look away from the horror of it.
in the dim morning light, he would scoop the body up in his arms and quietly take him outside. dig a shallow grave with his bare hands until they were bleeding, and gently place owen face up in the ground. kiss him on his cool forehead and whisper a fervent prayer for him to forgive him, someday. wish that they both belonged to another world where they could've been together. and then he would shove the dirt over owen's pale flesh, watch his face disappear under the earth, and curl up on top of the grave to sleep.

Man “Battle Nexus: New York” was a great episode but I do have one major gripe with it.
Like. Raph being paired up with Ghostbear? Makes sense. Works great. Works amazing, even.
Mikey being paired up with Meatsweats? Yeah that checks out!!
Donnie getting…Hypno…? I mean. I guess Donnie doesn’t like magic so it kindaaa works but Kendra would have been a much better choice to me personally. Maybe Big Mama didn’t wanna include a human or something…
And Leo getting…uh…one of the Sando Brothers???? Of all villains? Nah let’s be real, his main villain is more Big Mama herself (or Leo could be considered his own worst enemy lmao-). Hell Hypno would have probably worked better here considering their shared love for magic tricks and stuff, but Carl Sando????

it is funny though how kids' shows are so so so careful about death, no one's ever killed except MAYYYYBE the big bad, all those random side characters are fine, here have a quick shot of them before we leave just so you know they really did survive that 50-foot drop into a stormy sea,
and meanwhile kids' books nearly all agree that it's not an adventure until it has a body count.

do people who have listened to taz balance but not graduation Know that it was HEAVILY IMPLIED that lup and barry eventually adopted a lil sorcerer child who got disowned by his family for his natural necromancy magic, and they taught him how to use his powers for good and were overall great parents that he looks back on fondly
(and said child grew up to be a dimension-hopping lich, caretaker of the dead, and very sweet adoptive father of a major npc)
