Haven't seen this pointed out yet but do you know what you can do if you run out of shows to watch? Read a book.
Do you know where you can get free books (and movies, audiobooks, and cds)? Public libraries.
Do you know what is currently under attack by many parts of our government and could really use your support? Public libraries.

"Don't use Libby because it costs libraries too much, pirate instead" is such a weird, anti-patron, anti-author take that somehow manages to also be anti-library, in my professional librarian-ass opinion.
It's well documented that pirating books negatively affects authors directly* in a way that pirating movies or TV shows doesn't affect actors or writers, so I will likely always be anti-book piracy unless there's absolutely, positively no other option (i.e. the book simply doesn't exist outside of online archives at all, or in a particular language).
Also, yeah, Libby and Hoopla licenses are really expensive, but libraries buy them SO THAT PATRONS CAN USE THEM. If you're gonna be pissed at anybody about this shitty state of affairs, be pissed at publishing companies and continue to use Libby or Hoopla at your library so we can continue to justify having it to our funding bodies.
One of the best ways to support your library having services you like is to USE THOSE SERVICES. Yes, even if they are expensive.
*Yes, this is a blog post, but it's a blog post filled with links to news articles. If you can click one link, you can click another.

It's genuinely crazy to me how someone could say "I don't want people to be mass killed" or "I think it's wrong to overlook a genocide" and some people honest reactions are "Don't be antisemitic!!"
First off, if this is your reaction, do you hear yourself? Is that genuinely your excuse for someone saying "I don't think people should be murdered" is to be dismissive of the point? Not even mentioning where or what is going on, you just want to make an excuse so that you can make your bloodlust seem justified when it's not? Just say the same phrases over and over again to the point where you could see people - men, women, children, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles - you see them actively being killed and bombed and shot directly in front of their families, dumped in mass graves, hunted for sport, and your first reaction is to cry out "That's antisemetic"? "They deserved it"?
Get the fuck over yourself and open your damn eyes. Stop hiding behind your excuses and see what's going on here. The people advocating for a free Palestine are the exact same people who would advocate against Hitler, what difference is there when it comes to Palestinians being killed by Israel and the US versus jewish people being killed by the Nazis and their allies?

While we're at it: using language that downplays genocide is a form of genocide denial.
Joe Biden isn't doing a bad job, Joe Biden is providing material support for genocide.
Israel isn't handling the situation badly, Israel is committing genocide.
Employing euphemisms minimizes the reality of this genocide. It's disrespectful and dangerous.
If you are more uncomfortable with the word genocide than you are with the reality of genocide, then you are not prepared to be part of any serious discussion. Work on that on your own time.
