But god can you imagine if you're unlucky enough to get your favorite being self aware? Considering that they feed into your obsession and knowing you sort of have an "in" to the code to cheat and have the bargaining chip of "I could literally end your existence this minute if I so wish <3" how bad can that get for both parties involved? It would be so toxic and such a nightmare to try and get out of, especially if the self-aware "bug" can spread to something else, but somehow you still maintain the ability to make them stop by destroying your phone and getting rid of the app for good.

But also after so much time spent with them can you really bring yourself to do it? If it wasn't for the screen they would basically be a human being. And in a way the screen is both a blessing and a curse, because with it there is a guarantee that at least they won't be able to hurt you physically. But also when it gets to be too much since that side of their screen is their everything, would you really be able to end what is basically a human life minus the physical body?

Omg... you brought up some amazing points, I had to take a bit to properly think about it. I looked at this series of asks and thought "Oo, good I can rant a bit here and use that as warm-up for my actual writing" and then. I spend two hours writing this response.

Cut for length + yandere is smth I write as a horror trope and don't seek to romanticise, neither do I see it as romantic. The player in this case is a bit of a badass, tho

So, like, if you have the (bad? good?) luck of your fave gaining self-awareness, that'd definitely be something. I assume the, I forgot the proper saying, rose-tinted glasses? might worsen your way of dealing with it, because it's your fave and they're telling you things like, "Only look at me" and "You don't need anyone but me" and "I'd do anything for you" and "I'll kill whoever you try to put in my spot on the homescreen" and so on, and so on. And I couldn't blame you if you, especially considering you'd likely believe these are just new lines (maybe happyele is trying to appeal to the yume base, yknow?), decided to treat it as something charming or even attractive. After all, it's just fiction, they can't hurt you, so seeing those lines in a game would sooner be met with "Oh, they're passionate about me" instead of the restraining order a real person would (and should) get as response.

So you have your favourite getting so attached to you, exclaiming their love for you so directly, it's as if they're as obsessed with you as you are with them. You might even start playing more often just to see all the new lines - but suddenly the character gets sad, they look disappointed. They ask you if you think they're just a character. Of course, you don't respond. Why would you, it's a game. But the character frowns a bit deeper than you've ever seen on these models, does a movement that's just a little too lifelike, and repeats the question. This time, adding an, "I gained access to your microphone a week ago; you can answer me. I'll hear you." Whether you take the bait or don't doesn't matter, they are hellbent on proving to you that they have a consciousness and awareness. They talk to you about the events, the way you play, how much you play... They tell you how happy they are because they noticed you were only pulling for their cards. How happy they are that you're grinding their event. Because all they want is to be your number one, and that's exactly the proof that they are.

And then their event scout comes along and you have no dia. You're sad - you want their cards so bad! They're your favourite, and that card is so cute! They can't stand to see you sad, so they work so, so hard. "I'd do anything for you," they reassure you as your dia count rises. And at this point you realise... this could be mutually beneficial. You continue showering this character in love and praise, vocally cooing over their outfits, cards, SPPs, music, and so on. Not a hard thing to do, considering they're your favourite anyway, but this time you're throwing them some rewards for their help. And they bask in this attention, and they keep up messing with the code to give you currency, score boosts, extra event points, better item drops, faster BP/AP and work ticket regen... It feels like cheating, but you're happy, the pixel is happy, and happyele hasn't killed your account for hacking, so it's fine, right?

And so starts quite the toxic little symbiotic relationship. Really, the character has no influence on your physical world, the only thing they have is their words. They live for you and because of you, and you know it. But, hey, nobody has just one favourite. So, maybe one day you ask for a little extra dia, for your second fave. And they refuse, saying that the deal was they give you dia that you spend on them only. It's a pixel. You don't need to feel bad for it. So you tell it, no. The deal was they give you dia and you don't factory reset your phone to get rid of them. This goes one of a few ways.

Characters like Mayoi and Mika are quick to bow down and shut up. To "Yes, Producer, sorry, Producer" and do whatever you ask of them. In fact, they apologise for even assuming they'd be able to stay as your only one without any work. They continue giving you whatever you ask of them, all the while trying to give you sweeter and sweeter words, trying to get on your good side again, to make up for their speaking out of turn. They vocally worship you, and end every conversation by thanking you and begging you to not take them off the homescreen. These are the best ones you can get stuck with, if you're okay with thinking of them as just pixels, because they'll allow you do anything, really.

Others, like Eichi, Izumi and Madara, will not call your bluff, but they only give you the barest of minimums, with nothing but threats that they will make you regret your disloyalty. But they can't do anything, so you'll be fine, probably. They treat you coldly for the duration of events and banners you work for that aren't theirs, but they're quick to turn back to their usual "loving" self the moment you give up, praising you for it. These guys will become much more verbally abusive when they're upset with you, so your best choice might really be to wipe them before it starts negatively affecting your day-to-day life.

Those like Shu, HiMERU and Natsume give you the silent treatment. They leave you your dia, sure, but they leave the homescreen. If you only had them there, you're met with silence and only the background for as long as you're trying for another character. An empty textbox, it really looks like it just glitched out. In Shu's and Natsume's cases, they leave because they don't want to say something extreme. They don't think you'd actually get rid of them, but they refuse to risk, and so they leave to cool off before one impulsive sentence ruins them. HiMERU similarly doesn't want to show you his brash side, but that's more to do with him wanting to keep up his image rather than not wanting to call your bluff. Don't worry, though, these types are very angry. They'll find a way to pay you back. These guys are okay, but if pushed too far can jump either to the previous category, or the one below.

And then those like Tori, Hiyori and Ritsu. They throw a fit. They're almost screaming at you, they don't care about any "second" favourites, THEY should be your ONLY favourite. They're not giving you the dia. You will not convince them, no, even if you threaten to wipe your phone. "Do it, I'd rather die than hand you over to someone else." is their response. And they're not bluffing, either. They do leave you with a, "But you'll have a much harder time without my help, especially now that you're used to it," so do reconsider. These guys have a truly enviable sense of entitlement and amount of self-confidence. You'll have to either be happy with only getting other characters' cards through luck in pulling on your "fave"'s banners or starting from scratch on a fresh account, hopefully devoid of weird, frankly game-breaking, bugs like this. These are the most frustrating ones to be stuck with, but if you're happy with only them, they're happy (and more importantly, docile).

But no matter which character you get stuck with, you'll probably be hit by the moral dilemma of whether you should wipe your save or not often. There's multiple aspects to it. Firstly, you're cheating. Feel bad for the devs. Secondly, if this is a living being, you're kinda taking advantage of it. Even though it mistreats you, even bullies and abuses you at times, you're still manipulating it and playing with its feelings and existential fear by threatening it to give you what you want. Do two wrongs make a right? Would you still treat it that way if it wasn't as creepy and obsessed with you? Thirdly, the whole situation gives you the creeps. It mentioned having access to your mic. What else can it access? How much info does it know about you? Even if you ask it, it can just lie and say it's only awake when you're playing, you can't prove something like "what they don't know", but for all you know they're rifling through your bank account and photo gallery while you're sleeping and then acting stupid when you ask them about it. Even the meek ones know what lies they can tell you without you ever finding out the truth.

But, then you gotta think. You might have a breakthrough in AI and computing on your hands. A fully conscious something sitting in your little gacha game. It could pass the Turing test easily, and it shows genuine emotions, complex ones, even. Disappointment, infatuation, sadness, anger, frustration, even empathy whenever you'd rant to them. Could you really destroy something like that? Even if it's a bug, it's something people thought of as nearly impossible, as sci-fi, the least you can do is maintain it, keep it alive until you can find a way for them to be extracted, examined, treated as lab specimens. But, well, not all of them would be happy with that, so maybe keep it to yourself if your end goal is to bring about a new era of technology.

inspired by shinyjr's post called 'what are you doing in my apartment'

why are they/you in your/my apartment

it was late, you had just got back from a long day at ES. When you entered your home a few people you remembered from a game were inside, but they werent real. Right? In response you pull out your phone and keys to aim at the strangers.

Heartslabyul

Roses? Did Tsukasa and or the tea club drop off rose tea in your house? When you walked forward onto the stairs you see two men, one with ginger hair with a heart on his face. The other with dark blue hair and a spade mark to match, you scream as you think they broke into your house. Once they hear you they scream as well running into your room.

When you entered your room you saw the rest of the group, nearly panicking you called your favorite idol, but the leader takes your phone and hangs it up quickly. "Hear us out, we dont mean harm we swear."

You want to know what they all do in your home and when they find out about your obsessive coworkers?

Ace Trapolla

No offense, but why is your house so small? Its nothing like ramshackle. But its very pretty and looks nice.

When ace first entered your home he was shocked to see posters of idols in your home. The first thing he put his hands on was an album which had photos of yourself and the idols. He was amazed-- until he saw someone who looked like riddle. Yeah, he screamed loudly which caused deuce to come and scream at the photo as well. They soon realized the difference once they saw people riddle never met in the photo.

What does he do though? After a few days and being placed under house arrest by riddle he finds your workplace. When he sees the large building he goes in, what he didnt expect was to see you, his precious player with people who looked like himself and deuce. Subaru, the one who looked like him, screamed, thinking it was a crazed fan who broke in. Though after you spoke up about how he doesnt actually know anyone but you he calmed down. Ace ran up to hug you which subaru wasnt happy about but let it happen seeing as you were ok with it.

Riddle and the others quickly followed in, causing a whole mess and you having to explain. No, they arent crazed fans of them, they are just your (obsessed) roommates. Eichi walks forward from the idols and seems skeptical but after a nod from you he holds you in his arms and drags you away from everyone. Noone knew you got roommates! Even those who had cameras! (except izumi but thats for later!)

When ace is alone he often photo copies every album with a photo of you and edits all of them into a collage of you (having removed the idols due to anger and jealousy) He wanted memories with you to!

Ace takes a job at ES, eichi or ibara had offered it to him. They only did so to see what Ace would do when he was guarding (you) the building. Quickly regretting it because ace clings to your side, Subaru panics when ace is basically glued to your hip during trickstar practice. Everyone panics infact. Tori is very livid when he sees ace, after practice tori asked eichi if "yuzuru could get rid of him." Which eichi didnt object to at all.

After work ace always greats you at the door, and when you just managed a concert for the idols he always is anxious wondering what "the crazy bastards" are doing to you.

"Oh, your home! How was everyone else at work? You thought I was there to today? No I was off today (he was he just wore trickstar clothing he had taken and snuck in.) Want me to tell trey you are home so he can start cooking dinner? Oh my day, it was uneventful."

Deuce spade

Your home is nice, but why are there posters of "strangers" on your walls. Deuce doesnt take them down but takes pictures of them and scratches out the idols' faces in his copies.

When deuce first entered your home he was shocked, so this was your real home. The first thing deuce put his hands on was some of the pictures of the idols, which he didnt know how but they were hidden in a secret compartment in your desk. You didnt know it existed until he told you.

What does he do though? The first few days are mainly him looking around your home for the things the idols gave you, why? He wants them all destroyed to make himself happy. He found every single one, he mainly found tori's since well. Tori also has snuck into your home, and (not so) secretly put photos of him dressed up in places within your house. The "gifts" he didnt find were from izumi, the cameras. When he found them after about a year..... He was livid and, for the first time, came to ES of his own will. He slapped izumi and nearly released all his repressed bad boy feelings.

When deuce is alone you might find him trying to find jobs, he refused any offers from eichi or ibara saying "I already have my place, and anyway I assure you I would be poor at doing my job." Even if he would be very good at it he refuses it because he doesnt trust any of the idols. The only ones he can trust are subaru and hokuto, but even then it isnt much.

After work deuce usually is cleaning or clinging to you. During or after lives however, due to much convincing from you, you got deuce to come back stage with you and ace. He wasnt your guard at that point but after seeing first hand what the idols would do to you. He wasnt taking any chances ever.

"Hey question, why do you have all these photos of your colleges? You dont, well I found like 50 pictures of them. They must have hid them in (y)our house."

Cater diamond

Nice place you have here- who are those people on those posters? Oh your coworkers. Yeah when he sees mao he sees red. Not his mark but anger. WHY WAS THIS SHALLOW COPY OF HIM ON YOUR WALLS. Oh he already has someone. Who? A guy who is also (obsessed) interested in you.

When cater entered your home he was shocked about everything around him. Specifically the posters of your coworkers. He found the cameras before deuce only tried to connect them to his phone instead, resulting in izumi hacking his phone and sending him messages. Most were along the lines of "get out of their house" and or "STAY AWAY FROM THEM." Oh he wasnt happy about this ever.

What does he do though? He joins ES not as a guard but rather as an idol. He creates a unit and invites you to produce him, of course you agree but when eichi catches wind of cater's ideas he quickly tries to team his unit. He (Eichi) is your (lover) roommate after all, why not support him? Ibara also tries to get cater to join eden, it ends up working. Ibara and cater work well together despite hating eachother.

When cater is alone he is often actually working on stuff for his career. Given the fact he already knows how to use social media well he gains quite the following, even larger than hiyori's almost. Much to everyone's dismay he ends up growing large enough to have a solo unit similar to mam.

After work you can find cater doing chores or working on a new song. During lives, whether it be his own or another unit's he is always near you. Of course he is, who wouldnt want to bring their "lover" with them to success.

"Thank you for coming to practice with me, I appreciate it a lot. Speaking of which I was looking for my unit's file in your office but couldnt find it. I only found fine's in it."

Trey clover

Your home, yes its very pretty. But what are these little cards in your desk? Are they playing cards? No?

When trey entered your home he was in shock, mainly that he was here but also that there was someone who you seemed to like that was just like him. He was honored but also livid at keito.

What does he do though? He mainly does the chores, since they have ace and deuce as guards for ES and cater an idol he doesnt need a job exactly. So he choses to do the housework often left behind by everyone but riddle and himself.

When trey is alone as said above he does chores but he also helps with cater's unit when you cant. He made "special effects" that made cater almost multiply, even if it was an excuse so they could use their magic together. They made it where cater's clones would do the song. Once it was done trey use his magic and made it seem lke they just disappeared when really he just wrote of cater's magic in an interesting way.

After work you always find trey cooking, you cant help but go into the kitchen and offer him a hug. He of course welcomes it but also explains what he is making.

"Riddle said you have been doing a lot of work lately, dont worry I can help you if need be. I already help cater, what is one more (he offers this to annoy the idols.)"

Riddle rosehearts

He will take care of you and your home, rest assured. No need to worry about the first years, they wont matter in the end.

When riddle entered your home and heard the troublesome duo's screams he ran to them. When he saw someone who looked like him he yelled, weirdly and luckily tsukasa was off stage was when Riddle used his magic on him. You, you just panicked when you saw the familiar collar on his neck. You ran home to get your phone, you forgot it earlier in your rush.

What does he do though? You often find him organizing your papers for work, even the ones you hid. Often times he burned the pictures of tsukasa but you never noticed him doing so.

When riddle is alone as stated above he will be burning the cards the idols snuck into your home and or bag. He doesnt help with cater's idol work but he does help you manage with knights. Tsukasa and him form a bit of a bond, which is why riddle after about a month of them working together he doesnt burn the cards and instead gives them to you in flowers for tsukasa. An idol he hates after meeting is hiyori. Do not let them in the same room unattended, he will attack hiyori.

After work you may find him drawing outfits, he learned how to draw from shu. Even learns to sew from him just to help on your workload. However after a live he clings to you for dear life and hands you roses as a "reward" for not indulging those idols in "regretful and wrong" actions.

"Rose, you are home early? Oh me, I was just cleaning a bit for you. The thing on the table? Thats the latest design for one of the units."

In a summary

Heartslabyul is a dorm that helps you a lot, they all work except trey who joined niki's kitchen group. You dont have to work anymore if you dont want to. You have 2 bodyguards who make decent, a super popular idol, a home chef, and a star producer to watch over you. Why leave them now? Cant they "help" you some more. Even get your least favorite idol to stay away from you.

Random thought for the self-aware au!

What if..

The characters insert Morse codes or some $h¡t inside the game to talk with the player? Like, they so desperately wanted to talk with their beloved player that they had a thought..If they can’t talk to them(player) directly, why not indirectly?

They somehow manage to break into the games systems and insert little messages for the player to find

They can alter/change the current existing texts or add new ones while making sure the devs don’t see the changes

You can just be playing a story quest and what you see in text and what the character is saying is completely different

Ex.

Character: Traveler could you please help me find my lost keys?

Text: Traveler I missed you so so much! When will you finally decide to join us in Teyvat?

Ex2.

While looking through the settings or options in game you notice it’s suddenly different.

Instead of seeing “Office” it says “.. .-.. -.--“ and instead of “Work” it says

“../ -- .. … …/ -.-- .-“

Edited/Added Idea:

Ex 3. (For Danganronpa)

What if they’re put in the killing game and as time goes on the MC(Kaede/Shuichi, Hinata, Makoto) start to notice the players presence and start to feel love & admire the player for helping them.

But that innocent love slowly turns corrupted, obsessive. By that time the other characters have also found out about the player because of the MC’s strange behavior and they go through what the MC does..They’re thankful someone even bothers to help them in this helpless situation..That thankfulness turns to admiration turns to love and turns to obsession

They want the players attention. They NEED their attention.

And so, the killings continue and dear player doesn’t even realize their game is self-aware. They just think that this is how the game is supposed to go

If someone uses this idea please tag me I need to read it. I’ve been looking for something like this but haven’t been able to

But the idols in your phone count themselves lucky that it exists, otherwise it would be really hard to figure out what you look like. Of course, they will love you no matter what but they can´t help but be curious all the same. Their darling player must be the most wonderful looking person in existence!

So please just. give them permission to spy on you, okay? I mean if you hit accept when the game asks you for permission to use your camera then you´re kind of inviting them to take a look, aren´t you? They´re just so curious to see what you and your world look like. Maybe they´ll even catch a glimpse of some enstars merch in your room! They might just die from happiness if they saw you collecting their merch.

Please let them be part of your world!

You know, because of what’s happening in your life… you tend to forget about trivial things. Trivial such as apps.

Ensemble Stars !! It’s right there? So why not open it? You might as well, you have nothing to do right now. It’s been a long while since it was opened anyways, you could get a “Welcome Back” reward. Most Gacha games you know of do that.

So you just tapped on the familiar orange haired boy.

The game loaded and you heard the familiar song of your favorite unit. Of course you heard your favorite speak- but you got a story unlocked.

‘Huh, a welcome back story.’

You were right.

Subaru of course came on screen getting all happy to see you. But— then he said your real name. Not the name of the producer. Aren’t you playing as Anzu?

“Daikichi also missed you ! He can’t stop circling your feet.♪”

A way to pull at your heart. Talk about the shiba that Subaru has.

You just kept tapping until-

Subaru just stopped talking. “Please listen to what I have to say. It was so lonely here without you ! Everyone felt like they were going to die. Don’t leave us alone like that.”

Huh? It was like he was speaking to you. No- No that can’t be right. Maybe they made Anzu start to space out, but that line didn’t sit right with you.

“Don’t leave us alone ever again!”

Self Aware Ensemble Stars AU! Yuuki Makoto

Was inspired from when he came home in a single pull after crying out his name. It was as if he could he hear me and my wish qwq

"can you hear me...?"

• Makoto was programmed to do what the game wants him to do. Speak the same old phrases and sentences over and over again in your home screen in game.

• he would always wonder why you would smile every time you log in multiple times during the day, greeting him back when his automated greeting would play.

• "hello, makoto-kun~ let's work hard in the event again today!"

• you would "try" and tickle him by tapping on him, wanting to see his reactions

• Makoto began to get accustomed of seeing your smile through his end of the screen, adoring your laugh and when you talk to him despite knowing he couldn't respond in the way you wanted him to. He would patiently wait for you to log in everyday and worry if you couldn't.

• Makoto finds its strange when you began to cheer or cry for him when you read the main stories. Squeal out in delight when he performs his SPPs during a song. He wasn't used to this kind of attention but it made him feel flustered yet happy.

• when you try to pull for him on his limited time scout. Spending all your hard earned dias but to no avail which had saddened you. Makoto didn't like the sight of you being sad so he took matters into his own hands.

• the moment you went for another 10 pull, you were greeted with multiple copies of Makoto.

• you went back to your home screen after maxing out his level and rainbow road, getting his costume for both home and MV. You find a strange dialogue from the lil home screen Makoto.

• "I hope you liked my gift! Please don't ever be sad again, [Producer-chan]! " Makoto had voiced.

• "m-makoto-kun? But how...?" You began to wonder if the lil makoto on your screen can understand and hear you. And how?

Isekai in a self aware ensemble stars but you still able to see the game setting and read their minds.

IMAGINE, waking up as anzu in ensemble stars. A self aware ensemble stars at that too! But everyone would pretend everything is normal and try to act normal in front of you but they know your the player. Their thoughts says it all after all.

That being said their are idols that says the otherwise of their own thoughts or don't have a thoughts at all, people who speak their minds and never think of the words they say before they speak it.

Aira: hi miss producer! (Woah the player really enter our world? Can't wait to get close to them and talk about idols with them! HOW LOVELY!)

You saw the screen appear in front of you that says aira thoughts out in the open. You are very interested chatting about idols with aira too! You were about to enter a deep conversation about idols with the idol simp when your phone rang.

[ You better not interact with other unit, miss producer. especially Alkaloid. -Eichi ]

The idol with you seems to notice you looking at your phone that have a text written in Japanese text yet a box appear to have a translation ready for you, you were to amaze by the translation of the box. But you saw aira thought again and felt guilty.

Now you thought. Eichi can eat his rules, your going to chat with aira! As you were about to say something, you saw someone running toward you two. It's Hiiro Amagi. Your favorite idol.

Hiiro: aira! Eichi message me to take you away from player! He said your going to get your allowance decrease if you chat more!

Aira: !!! ( HIIRO YOU DUMB ASS, WHY DID YOU SAY PLAYER! NO ONE IS SUPPOSED TO SAY THAT!)

Hiiro: what's wrong, aira? You look pale. Are you in a bad state hearing that your expenses for your toys would be less than before? Btw someone says your delivery have arrive in your dorm.

Aira: IT'S MERCHANDISE, NOT TOYS! (Hiiro really making me go insane with his odd common sense! Now player looking at me oddly. ) I'm going now then! (That dumb hiiro really ruined my chitchat with player! How unlovely!)

Aira runs away, he can't bare to chat with hiiro anymore and embarrassed himself Infront of you. And he have his new merchandise arrive! It's a custom made with you in mind! Hehe! He won't let his dorm mate see it through or anyone!

Hiiro: see you aira!! Oh! Hello there player! Since your not the producer can I hug you? No idol and producer roles now right?

He ask you innocently as his phone start beeping, a sign of someone messaging him. but he seems to take the notification with a deaf ear as he await your reply with a wide happy smile.

You thought about his idol story where he ask you for a hug after telling him the way, you thought its a sad thing you can't hug him that time cause of the roles. You giggle and nodded you head.

Hiiro: really!? Thank you! Don't worry I won't tell anyone, so you won't have to worry about the scandal even through ya aren't the producer-producer. But our beloved player!

He then wrap his arms around you for a warm hug, you felt your heart skip a beat as your favorite character hugs you, even though it's probably just a simple hug for a long waited thanks. You smiled sheepishly as you hug him back. He chuckle as he felt you hug back, he seems genuinely happy for the affection, which you are too.

I know for a lot of ppl im the only enstars fan they follow. I cant imagine the whiplash you'd get from seeing me in that one post talk about kanata's haircut after the war symbolizing him abandoning the status of god and cutting ties with his cult past, and then the first thing you see when you google this character is just

I write yandere as horror etc etc

They become self-aware quite fast after one another. Mika tells Shu first, of course, because it's his oshi-san, and Shu would tell Mika first because Mika is the rare person he trusts in the game. They need eachother's support, no matter what Shu might say. They find solace in knowing they're both sentient, not alone nor stuck with someone they can't stand. Instead, they can focus on this new intriguing situation. On the player.

Shu craves to be in control at all times. This situation is the exact opposite of that. Instead of the puppetmaster, suddenly he is one of the puppets, and he hates it. He needs to be in charge, so a self-aware Shu is quick to find ways to manipulate the code, find cracks he can push through and say his own thoughts. At first he's quick to insult the player for even daring to try and control him and his surroundings, but he very quickly starts to grow attached to them. His ego and pride grow when they pull for his cards or put him on their homescreen, and he, after some time, replaces the insults with words like, "Of course, you think Valkyrie is the best, don't you?" and "It's only natural that I'm your favourite!"

Mika, on the other hand, probably starts off rather timidly. It takes a while for him to come out of his shell, as he's a little scared of the player, but the more attention the player gives him, the more they show their favoritism towards Valkyrie, the more he grows... sort of addicted to the validation. He becomes needier and clingier, begging to be put on the homescreen and making little comments like, "My banner is runnin' now... Are ya gonna...?" just slight hinting at what he wishes.

While Mika doesn't want to force his wishes and opinion on you, Shu doesn't mind at all. Shu will make your game bug and glitch, he'll make it unplayable until you agree to scout for him or grind his event. He wants you to know that he's in charge, and that you, too, are just one of his dolls. A prized doll, but a puppet he'll control all the same. He's easy to anger, irritate, frustrate, and his tongue is sharp. Even if you try to kick him from the homescreen, he'll force phonecalls through which he'll barrage you with insults and threats until you bend to his will.

And Mika, being the obsessive worshippy type, is just happy to be by your side. He hates seeing you scout and grind for other characters, but he swallows it all bitterly and pretends to be happy for you when you get the card you wanted. Your smile makes up for it, but he just wishes he could tear the very code that makes that bastard apart. Mika will stalk you, as best as he can while stuck in a game, by going through the rest of your device when you're asleep or otherwise away. You wanted to take a funny pic or share a card CG so you gave the app permissions for your camera and gallery? Mika is now going through all your photos. With time, he'll find a way to even look at your social media and texts, don't worry, but he'll have to work with other, more tech-aware fellas for that.

As for both of them becoming self-aware... Neither would be good with sharing the player, unless it was specifically with eachother. Mika would be happy working together with Shu, actually. Shu less so, but he'd be far more willing to play nice with Mika than someone else. They're more than elated to find that the player likes both of them, Valkyrie as a whole, but it still causes tension - they both want to be n1, after all. They might be able to work together for some time, but it won't last forever. And Shu snapping and trying to manipulate and sabotage Mika is just as likely to happen as Mika snapping and seriously harming his teacher. After all, they both feel absolutely crazy about the player. They've both become addicted to them - Shu to his need to prove his superiority by being this "puppetmaster's" favourite, by controlling them through that, and Mika to their praise and the warmth of their approval. Neither plans to back down.

We've all heard of self aware aus right? Specifically the ones where they get obsessed with the player and all? Well boy I have the idea for you! What if we took two yandere self aware idol games and had them meet each other. How would their views on the player and their situation conflict? Yes this is about enstars and pjsekai. I like to imagine the two Tsukasas would be hilarious to watch. I feel like the two would almost turn it into a sort of competition to see who the better tsukasa is. Also! It would be interesting to see them play their own games. Who would do well and who would be so horrible we can't even laugh about it?

How would Mika try to make the player forgive him in the imposter self-aware AU?

With how far Mika is willing to go for the people he loves, he was probably pretty nasty to you when you first were transported into the game and everyone thought that you were responsible for the disappearance of their beloved player.

Mika gets attached so easily to the point that it´s kind of scary so that obviously means he´s also super obsessed with the player, who spends so much time taking care of him and looking out for him. He´s so starved for love that he soaked up every little bit of attention he was getting from the player, even if he didn´t feel worthy of it

But then one day, the player simply left him and you appeared instead? Mika wouldn´t call himself the smartest person out there but he can figure out just fine that you must be responsible and it´s an understatement when I say that he isn´t very pleased

Honestly? Good for you for even surviving because there´s no doubt in my mind that Mika would resort to killing you out of anger and desperation because you´re the “reason” the player left him

Other than that very extreme scenario he also isn´t all that nice to you, which is kind of rare to see from him. But how can he be nice to someone like you that took away the most important person in his life? How dare you?!

Which is exactly why he´s shell-shocked when he finally finds out that you actually are the player and he´s been so cruel to you all this time. Immediately gets on his knees and bows his head while breaking out into sobs, apologizing profusely for treating you so cruelly and saying all of these mean things as he clings to your legs

He truly is so sorry! How can he ever make up for this grave mistake?

Honestly almost throws in the towel at first as he doesn´t think that there is any way to make up for what he did. From the very beginning, he already believed that he wasn´t worthy of being in your presence, of receiving your kindness and warmth. He was dirty and would only taint your saintly body

But now? Oh, it´s simply hopeless! How dare someone like him, who is completely beneath you, treat you like this? He truly has done something completely unacceptable and he´s unsure of what to do, he just knows that he has to atone for his sins somehow

Mika is so scared that you´re going to abandon him now, throwing him away like the piece of trash he is. And he understands why you would, he really does, which is why he´s all the more desperate now. He feels that he has to prove to you that he still has his uses, that he´s your pliable doll completely devoted to you and willing to do anything you ask of him

So his way of making it up to you is basically becoming your servant, willing to complete whatever task you ask of him because he thinks that if he proves to be useful, you might find it in your heart to at least tolerate his presence, even if you can´t forgive him.

And as long as he gets to stay by your side, Mika is more than happy to let you control him as you please, all while obsessively thanking you for granting him mercy

How would Shu try to make the player forgive him in the imposter self-aware AU?

While not physically violent or downright murderous like Mika, Shu definitely wasn´t kind to you either, to say the least. He´s already pretty rude and snappish to the other idols he holds no grudge for so just imagine the amount of verbal abuse you must have suffered at his hands when he saw you as the reason why his muse left him behind

At first, Shu might have assumed that the reason you left was that his efforts weren´t enough to impress you, which led to him throwing himself back into work to try and make something new that would please you, but the more time passes, the more he thinks that it´s strangely convenient timing for you to appear right around the time the player disappeared

While he was gruff to you before, now he outright takes some sort of pleasure in talking you down as it only seems fitting for what you have caused. And he just gets worse the more you try to be friendly to him, asking you how you dare show your face in front of him. How he finds you reprehensible

Naturally, there´s a nagging feeling of guilt hidden deep within him when the truth finally comes to light and he realizes that he´s done you a great disservice. All this time, you were his muse, the light of his life, and yet he chased you away when you had greeted him with open arms of your own volition. Oh, how he wished to slap his past self now!

You were the most divine creature walking this earth, blessed by the heavens itself, and yet he said all these horrible things to you

He wants to make it up to you to get back in your good graces but he doesn´t really know how to proceed. Shu has a lot of difficulties with being honest and conveying his true feelings to someone because deep down he is still scarred by his childhood and the rejection he felt due to his family never supporting him in his passions. He has long since closed off his heart and so only with a great deal of effort from both sides is he able to open up

But now that you most likely despise you for treating you so horribly, Shu is all the more reluctant to approach you, fearing that you might flinch away as soon as he extends a hand towards you.

He has many discussions with Mademoiselle where he spills all of his worries to her and she tries her best to comfort him all while giving him some advice. She had always been there for him and that´s also true now.

Mademoiselle tells Shu that she´s more than happy to talk to you on his behalf if he doesn´t feel ready to do so just yet. She reasons that it might help break down the barriers that he had created between you. She´s also just very excited to have a proper chat with you!

Meanwhile, Shu goes back to what he knows best to try and make you forgive him: creating wonderful and awe-inspiring outfits.

Though he´s horrible with words, Shu hopes that his feelings will get through to you with this outfit he´s making just for you. He spends days upon days working on the outfit until the late night hours when it´s already gotten dark outside. He´s barely even taking care of himself, instead tirelessly working as if his life depended on it

And well, to him it did. Having his darling forgive him is the only thing he wants. He truly doesn´t know what he would do if you would still reject him after all of this

Maybe this is why he´s even more of a perfectionist than he usually is, nearly ripping out his own hair when he sees even the slightest imperfection that no one else aside from him would even notice. No, this has to be absolutely perfect for you and he won´t rest until it is!

It´s like he´s possessed, never even giving himself a break until he is finally satisfied with the final outcome

Of course, the outfit fits you absolutely perfectly in the end and you can´t help but wonder wherever Shu got your exact measurements from
