I...tried to make a meme and got carried away and made A Thing that is like partially unfinished because i spent like 3 hours on it and then got tired.

I think this is mostly scientifically accurate but truth be told, there seems to be relatively little research on succession in regards to lawns specifically (as opposed to like, pastures). I am not exaggerating how bad they are for biodiversity though—recent research has referred to them as "ecological deserts."

Gwynriel Week: Day 11 - Alternate Universe

It is AU day for @gwynrielweeksofficial and here is the full piece I teased yall with that I had commissioned by Shinkxart!

A little bit about this piece:

I knew I wanted Gwyn and Azriel to be in a college/library setting given Gwyn's role in ACOSF and that's where she feels safest (at the moment). I also wanted her to be carrying books as she is known for helping Merrill with her research. Her being in blue just fits her perfectly with her coppery colored hair, her association with the blue Invoking Stone in ACOSF, her eye color, and well blue is associated with Azriel to.

As for Azriel...Azriel just screams a hockey player to me (probably because I've been on a hockey romance kick lately). The number 7 on his jersey is a nod to how many Siphons he has in ACOSF as well as the time he found himself arriving in front of Clotho to drop off a gift for Gwyn. Him leaving that encounter feeling a spark in his chest and tucking the thought away deep down of Gwyn's teal eyes lighting up when she sees the gift makes me giddy inside. 💙

Jedi culture is so fascinating... I'd love a post-war everything is okay AU where we get a taste of Jedi culture. Not the clone wars-era jedi culture that we know of...but actual jedi culture. Like the one obi-wan grew up with, something ahsoka and even anakin never got to experience because of the war. Like the ones we see in the books about obi-wans padawan years, of course, combining canon and legends in a way that makes sense- maybe we can have the younger ones of the disaster lineage learn a bit about Tahl, more Tahl is always a good idea. Maybe we can delve into Mace and Qui-gon's years of padawanship and being initiates- or maybe even old jedi culture, the one Yoda is familiar with.

After giving Juniper a soft pat, it shakily pulled out something - A Scroll, like the rest of them had - while lifting it's visor to reveal a set of softly glowing blue dots amidst a sea of of shimmering golden dust.

The Scroll jumped to life despite the obvious wear on the ancient device, and spat out choppy, contorted sentences fragmented together from old recordings

Scroll: TEAM- Ruby, I- am- Jaune ...

They all stared confused at the animated armor, in disbelief and shock.

Weiss: I'm sorry, what? You're Jaune?

The scroll sputtered back to life as the shield collapsed and expanded

Scroll: Vomit Boy! Short and sweet- Rolling- off- Tongues- Ladies- LOVE- it.

And for another moment they stared - only this time in complete horror.

They bumrushed the rusted platemail, clinging onto it like children to a stuffed toy. They felt a familiar sensation emanating from it, further cementing the Truth - This, whatever it was, was Jaune.

They held the armor as it shuddered, doing it's best to hold tight to them, the dust that held it together weakening in its overwhelming emotions - it'd be fine, it would pull itself together in the end - it always did. It always had to.

There was always someone to protect.

It just had one more duty before its Dust returned to ... dust.

A awareness flag for those who experienced trauma with psychology or psychiatry, and also those who don’t have trauma with it but bad experiences. This is in honor for people who tried to cure their neurodivergence but psychology or psychiatry harmed them in some way, people who had terrible experiences with therapy, and etc.

I decided to make this flag, because we aren’t represented and our experiences are almost always invalidated and ignored even by other neurodivergent people! We have our own right of choice to not recover or seek other ways to heal ourselves, whatever makes us more happy!

So… I’m making a Mario AU

First AU I’m actually writing is a Super Mario Genderbent, #MariaSistersAU. I thought of this for a long time and I really wanna get started on it, sharing piece by piece. To start, I had to draw our main lead, Mario’s female counterpart, Maria! (And special cameos of two other main characters)

I’m taking the word “Alternate” to another level. Instead of just a girl version of Mario, she acts the opposite from him. Her life is opposite from him. Her whole personality is different from him. More detail in the near future!

I’m super excited to share this and I’m super proud of myself for this drawing. I got three more characters to draw and some side characters they meet along the way! Time to expand the story!
